Yays, i’ve done it ! I’ve completed the fanart!! I love this scene so much idrk why I do, but when i read it i got instant motivation to make this >:)

(The scene is in one of the first 3-5 chapts i believe ,, micheal revisiting some old graffiti tags him and his brothers made , leo joining him.)

Ughggh these two are my life— all of the boys are aaeussnssfsfsf. At that point i was desperate for leo cause they all were seriously down in the dumps.

Also, i know the fic stated/implied that he was not at all transparent to both mikey and himself, but i didn’t know how to convey the fact he’s just kinda a spirit rn. So he’a just a taaaad bit transparent.

Also, theres paint splatter on the floor of when leon made a mess back when, everyone’s colors are there,, you might have to look hard to find it tho :p

Today’s episode was so GOOD thoughhhh ahhhH- Momo taking the lead like the best girl she is, and it’s just so great and so satisfying to see class A and B work together. And THEN to see Mina’s bravery, and then Kirishima’s determination??? Chef’s kiss. That whole scene was animated so beautifully. Kirishima saving Mina and then hearing Mina cry out for Kirishima with such desperation in her voice??? Nah nah nAh. AND THEN KIRISHIMA CONTINUING TO CARRY THe TORCH AND THE WAY MY ADRENALINE GOT GOING WHEN THEY PLAYED FREAKING “YOU SAY RUN” IN THE BACKGROUND 😭 IT WAS SO COOL.

Man, what isn’t there to say about Mater and Lightning? They have to be the gayest characters put to screen. But I will gladly reach into my mind to talk more about them.

I’m very much under the impression that Mater fell in love first. He kinda always was, but never realized it head on before lightning was nearly killed in Cars 2. My man literally RAN AWAY from a RACE CAR just so lightning wouldn’t take any damage. Now why he didn’t say anything, I’m not quite sure, but it probably would have something to do with not wanting to interfere with Sally.

Now lightning is more of a difficult case. His love for Mater is something that build up in time instead of it being instant like it was with Mater. I think a small turning point was here

When Mater called him his best friend for the first time. He completely shocked him. You can clearly see the disbelief in his eyes. Someone, for the first time in years, unconditionally considered him a friend.

Now, once we get to the second film, those feelings definitely begin to grow for Mater. Even in the first scene of him together, Lightning is extremely happy to see his best friend. Though, this is when we learn that their relationship is somewhat strained. Because Mater doesn’t know boundaries that well and lightning needs to learn to communicate with him while also learning that he needs to accept Mater for who he is.

To an extent. There are some things in Cars 2 that I don’t condone so I think that message could’ve definitely been better.

Anyway, it’s also seen throughout the film that Lightning regrets yelling at Mater. That he’s clearly worried about him. This finally all comes to a head when we get to the aforementioned scene. 

He says a lot of things that are… like come on now

“Mater! There you are, I’ve been so worried about you. Are you ok?”

“I know I made you feel that way before. But none of that matters because we’re best friends!”

“Yes Mater, you are the bomb! That’s what I’m trying to say here. You’ve been the bomb and you’ll always be the bomb.”

“I’m not letting get away again.”

Now if that’s not at least a little gay, I don’t know what is.

And let’s not forget this image here:

Now for Cars 3, there is not much to say since there is not much of Mater. But, there is a specific scene that I would like to point out.

Now you’d think when you’re considering to retire you’d call, I don’t know, your girlfriend? But nah, Lightning calls MATER instead. If you see more of the scene, you’d understand.

Now, finally, for my last point. Cars On The Road.

Oooh boy where DO I begin. So, at the very beginning of the series, Lightning suggests that the two go on a road trip with Mack. Which quickly turns into just the two of them going on a road trip on foot (tire? Yknow what I mean.)

It’s interesting, because you’d think Lightning would be more stubborn about this. That’s a key point of his personality. But no, he just immediately accepts it as is. Yknow why? Because it’s Mater. He always caves in for his best friend.

Even in the lost legend episode, he was acting like a clingy girlfriend like

“But this was supposed to be our time ☹️☹️”

THOUGH, I think a key moment we should look at is near the end of the series. Pointed out by my friend, @kei-maki, they said this moment

Is the moment he realized he was in love. Because Mater loves him unconditionally and only wants the best for him. THATS why he wanted to go on a road trip. So the two can spend time together.

There is so much more I could say, really. But I think this is all the key areas that should be looked at.

Now, I’ll have to make a post about some of my headcanons for the two and my fan children (that’s right, THERES TWO) but for now, this is what I’d like to say

its only perfect and right for till to cover hyunas song bc they have strong parallels (strong, defiant, rebellious etc) , i also think this is a taste of what will come in R7; till was numb and resigned in R6 (mizis disappearance, the alien SA, etc), his strong rebellious fighting spirit gone that he even stopped singing which is basically him walking off the ledge and not caring or even noticing hes falling to his certain death - if ivan had not stepped in and sacrificed himself

and also, i spoke abt the colors yesterday and aside from the meteor scene (aka the moment till gave up his freedom and left ivan to go back for mizi) it reminded me also of that scene where ivan watched till in that cove. his pupils dilating a symbol for the moment he fell in love; when till stood back up, his determination and fighting spirit flaring up. which is also why ivan is such a menace, stealing his pencils and crushing the flowers, anything to rile till up and make him look at him (need to stop myself before i ramble more abt them and ivan and AHHHGH)

ANYWAY that one scene came to my mind too so i think, combined w the newly released cover of hyunas song, it all points at tills rage and fighting spirit coming back full force. hes lit the final guy

A few months back, I asked if it was okay to write using Clora and Seb. Finished the work - thought I'd lost it on my hard drive and a virus scan located it.

Not sure if it's sad or happy, but the basic premise of it is Clora getting frustrated/upset at Sebastian and Sebastian comforting her, Sebastian getting upset at a predicament Clora's in and Clora comforting him, and them both getting frustrated/upset and having to comfort each other.

brainstorming is defs my fav part of the process and the most helpful part to me. just getting a blank document and writing stuff you want to happen without worrying about how it connects to the story, and then a lot of the times as i was doing that id just keep going and it would kinda tie itself together/id come up with a solution as i was writing / once the ideas kept flowing. so basically : TIMELINES AND OUTLINES I VERY MUCH RECOMMEND, but very low pressure and barebones ones. for example, this is what my outlines/brainstorming look like

its honestly just me talking to myself LMAO, and a lot of the time ill interject and be like "OH YEAH AND THEN THIS CAN HAPPEN" as the ideas come while im writing BAHAHA. its a super fun process and honestly nothing feels better than just getting hit with that flash of inspo, and since its all very low effort theres no pressure to actually write well and its just a chill fun time AND GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR OWN PROCESS / WRITING💖💖💖it can be difficult but HOPE U HAVE FUN TOO💖💖

Let me preface this: I don't know how familiar you are with stories and developments but some characters, like Tori, have changed quite a lot from ! days. And also I find that ! writing is sometimes more... I don't know if "over the top" is exactly right term but I find many characters' traits *really* played into. Yuzuru is sometimes victim of this. And 9+ years is a long time, the older stories can have a little bit different flavour.

I have to admit that I, too, think Raphael would be a little ... tense about the emotional parts. - Definitely trivialize them and attempt to hide them while making it all about deals and power play. It needs a courageous (and/or teasing) Tav/Durge to get some more telling reactions out of him. I would love to see a hint (or more than a hint) of jealousy from him. Of course, none of those mortals is a match for him, he doesn't care if you have another little romance going on. Astarion, I assume, will at least pretend not to mind at all and tell you to have fun. But he rarely admits to his true thoughts in those matters after all. Halsin probably would be the only companion actually and genuinely relaxed (or mostly) about the whole Raphael situation. (Aaa, don't worry at all!
