Alec: He sold his brother's milk horns in the shadow market. It took us 3 years and 10 thousand dollars to recover them.

Jace: He disorganized the library's over 5,000 books into unbreakable code just to annoy me. By him self. IN ONE NIGHT.

Ragnor: He stole my spell books and, I have no idea how, translated them and posted them on every social media site known to the shadow world.

Magnus: My clever little baby, at least you have to give him credit for being persistent.

Kinktober day 1

Alec Lightwood + Praise Kink

Happy first day of kinktober everyone. I’ve got a lot more schoolwork this year (curse you psychology) but ill be doing my best to try and keep up with my posting.

I’m gonna be honest I haven’t watched Shadowhunters in a long time, but Alec and Magnus still mean a lot to me. So, this is super vague about background stuff, cuz I can’t remember any of the plot from the show or books.

Alec found himself sighing as he leaned back in the chair behind his desk, his hand reaching up to rub at his aching temples. He took his duty very seriously, but at times it could do nothing but cause pains and aches throughout his body and psyche. Not only that, but his work kept him apart from you, sometimes for days or even weeks at a time. Alec had known at the time when he gained his rank that this work would fill much of his life, but now that he had finally found his way to you, it almost didn’t feel worth it.

Alec sighed softly as he got out of his seat, there was no reason to keep working any more tonight. At this point he had stared at those reports enough that he was seeing double, and the thought of your shared bed was like an angel’s call. With that in mind, the shadowhunter found himself almost floating to your shared room, a new edition to your relationship. Neither of you even had much time to spend in this room, as you were both important people in your circles and both took your duties seriously.

It was because of this that Alec didn’t even think about you being present when he entered the dimly lit room, his eyelids heavy and half shut as he pulled off his clothes robotically, folding it up neatly and placing it off to the side to go in the laundry in the morning. It was only when he fell onto the bed, now only clad his boxers, that he noticed the second presence in the room. He almost jolted up with shock, but your arm wrapped warmly and securely around his waist, pulling your lover close as you nuzzled into the back of his stiff neck.

“there’s my pretty boy” you rumble, your voice thick with sleep but also the love and admiration you have for Alec. Alec only allows himself to huff a little, feeling embarrassed at your sweet words. He had never gotten used to being complimented or praised, so when you peppered sleepy kisses on his neck and mumbled about his beautiful, he was and how strong he was, the shadowhunter felt himself grow hotter in the face.

“Look at you, all tense” you huff, your warm hands running up and down the planes of Alecs torso as you hook your chin over his shoulder, your thumbs rubbing just below his pecs, the action causing him to twitch and exhale sharply. “Always working so hard for everyone, but you never take care of yourself” you mumble, your lips pressed to the side of his neck. You can’t help but nibble on the skin there, letting your tongue flatten against the rune on his neck.

“Guess that’s why you have me, isn’t it” you almost tease, your hands finally grabbing his tight pecs in your palms, giving him a loving squeeze, making your sensitive lover whine. “Always such a diligent, good boy, aren’t you?” you croon, giving both of his nipples a quick pinch and twist, enjoying the punched-out noise that leaves Alec at the action. You had always loved how sensitive he was, and how easily you could work him up with just a few touches and sweet words.

“My good boy” you purr, hands traveling down his torso at a snail’s pace, almost in a worshipping manner as you feel out every shape that makes up his body, basking in the shaky way he breaths and how he can’t seem to keep his legs still. “My pretty boy” you hum, your thumbs teasing at the elastic of his underwear, an almost catlike smirk on your lips as you let your lover stew in the need and want running through his tired body.

“Just lay back Alec, ill take care of you” you mutter, using your grip to pull him further against your chest, your hips grinding into his own from behind. Alec shakily exhales but seems to melt in your arms, his muscles untensing as you fold his boxers down under his sack, releasing his hardness to the darkness of your shared room.

“Ill always take care of you. Because you are so good, and so beautiful. So smart, and so considerate of everyone around you” you keep mumbling, one of your hands wrapping around where Alec craves you the most. The noise that leaves him sounds drawn out and almost painful, like he had wanted you to touch him for so long. There isn’t a need for lube, as you don’t have to do much to work Alec how he needs it, at the moment he doesn’t need anything wild, he just needs your touch and presence.

The loose grip you have around him and the lazy way you stroke him is enough to have Alec twitching and jolting, his mouth open as he gasps and whimpers, words long gone from his person as he arches his hips into your hand. How you feel about him is impossible to express in words, so you keep laying every compliment you can think of on him as you kiss and suck at his neck and shoulder.

His keens rise in volume, his voice wobbly and almost hoarse as he begs in broken words. “Go on baby. Good boy, come on, be good and give it to me” you rumble, reaching up with your free hand to give one of his nipples a rough pinch and twist. Its all Alec needs to finish, his hips jolting almost painfully into your hand as his essence spills across the sheets in thick white stripes, painting your black sheets in a different shade.

You barely are able to withdraw from his back before Alec is asleep, the exhaustion of the multiple days of nonstop work and the euphoria of his orgasm knocking him out cold. With a soft chuckle, you kiss his temple and start cleaning up, moving him around to change him out of his underwear into a new pair, and getting new sheets on the bed. As you cuddle against his back again, this time under the sheets, you smile softly to yourself as you kiss the back of his neck. “I love you so much, my sweet boy” you whisper before shutting your eyes, burying your face into his hair, and inhaling his scent, letting the familiar scent carry you off into the land of sleep.

When Maryse decided to have a look on the baby-boy, she found all three of her boys sleeping, the little one finally full and snoozing peacefully, hugged by dads

Meanwhile the cats dialogue:

- look, they got a kitten! soft and sweet and smells of milk - i, for one, smell trouble and double trouble. you'll see, Meow, you'll see.

the pope represents a direct line back to Jesus, who's the closest to god. as the consul, alec is now the figure with the closest connection to the angels themselves. imagine the high warlock of brooklyn kissing the wedding of the current consul to show his utmost respect

headcanon #1

okay so. we know nico is always shadow-travelling around and running into people he's not supposed to know about (roman demigods, hat-wearing frog race, etc). can we agree that he's met magnus bane at least once? maybe someone gave him an invitation to one of bane's parties. maybe nico needed something and he heard that there was a "son of hecate" who could help him with it. maybe magnus himself is asked to investigate who tf keeps filling new york graves with coca cola.

however it happens, i think the possibilities are glorious. first of all, i think magnus would 100% adopt nico. he would totally be intrigued by this lil death boi who can apparently wake skeletons from the earth. he would want to know everything about the greek gods.

and second of all: alec and nico are sooo similar and it would be interesting to see them meet. two grumpy gay teenagers who are secretly dorks. i think alec would be creeped out by nico until magnus told him "sweetie he's literally you but shorter" and then they'd get along. imagine them complaining about crushing on straight men. imagine nico trying to teach alec mythomagic. idk.

also i have a weird idea that magnus bane would be the one to pierce nico's ears. random? yes. but imagine the deep conversations while preparing the needle. imagine magnus letting nico saying he can choose any pair from magnus's 100000 earrings but then vetoing every choice he makes because "actually, that's an heirloom" (while alec's in the background saying "magnus you bought that on etsy stfu" or "i literally saw you steal that from a museum three days ago")

and ultimately just imagine nico having gay role models and mentors. the more the better yk

any thoughts on how Simon and Isabelle will be around their in laws, I know we got to see a bit of it in the later books but would love to hear your thoughts

anon i will take any chance to talk about rebecca lewis <33 yes, i know there are more inlaws in question, and i will get to them, but i have been dying to talk about becky hehe plus there really is so much more to explore on the lewis side--naturally, since neither elaine nor rebecca have interacted with izzy in canon (insane btw).

sidenote: i kinda love how izzy only ever grew up with brothers, but gained a sister through simon (or two really, since we really must count clary, but you know, we're talking technicalities here), and that for simon, it's the opposite.

anyway, speaking of sisters hehe i genuinely think izzy and rebecca would get along well. i think iz would be a good source of.. fun i guess? for becky. like a good reminder to let loose. and i think becky would be a good resource for izzy, someone with a bit more age and wisdom that she can go to, someone who isn't maryse. and it's not like becky would be the only one offering advice. i think izzy would remind her to put herself first sometimes, to chase what she wants and to be kinda.. undeniable i guess. and i think they would laugh together and i think they would go shopping together, despite their very different fashion senses, and i think becky would maybe make some clothes for izzy and i think they would bond over the matching simon-shaped swell in their hearts.

i think becky is a common presence at the sizzy household. movie nights or game nights, or becky-cooked dinners (she might also try train some better cooking instincts into izzy while she's at it hehe), at least for a while until life things happen etc. i also think, and i know this is thinking a decent way further down the line, but i also think she'll be one of their go-to babysitters, since i don't think she'll get settled with her own family until she's in her 30s, and because i just know she'll want to be part of every second of that.

okay okay i think i need to stop talking about rebecca now or i will end up writing a novel..

i think their relationship with elaine is a lot more.. delicate. they don't see her nearly as often. because they can't be honest about the shadow world, for one, but also because i think she still has a little bit of.. not exactly loose canon, but something akin to that, in her. i think she wishes she got to see her son and daughter in law more, but i think there's this underlying anger for izzy any time they go to elaine's place, because even though it was years ago, izzy's first introduction to her personality was still through the lens of her condemning her son and kicking him out of the house at 16. and i also think izzy's seen how that reaction has affected simon, both in the direct aftermath, and in the years after he got his memories back.

i know levi is dead and wouldn't have any sort of relationship with izzy, but i do think simon would have taken her to levi's grave at some point to introduce them anyway. maybe around their wedding?

i really don't feel like there's much to say about the lightwoods that we haven't already seen, or that can't be easily extrapolated, but in spirit of fairness..

jace and simon are very much jace and simon. it's kinda hard to imagine their relationship changing much more than it already has. the comfortability and familiarity between them, the playful jabs, etc. i do think jace has probably begrudgingly gone to simon for a second (or third after clary, ig) opinion on some plans or strategies etc. he's having to make as an institute head. and i definitely think simon has tried to teach jace dnd, and had him over to play video games more than once.

i think simon and alec's relationship goes through more change than what we've been privy to. i think they have their bonding time doing target practice or over coffee after putting the kids to bed. they talk about politics and work and the sda. they also definitely talk about jace being an idiot lol

when it comes to maryse.. bro maryse is so hard for me. their relationship with her would be much closer than that they have with elaine, of course. and i think in maryse's effort to be more present with her family, she also makes a point to have a personal relationship with simon. they don't really have all that much in common, but simon has always seemed like something of a mom charmer to me. he's funny and smart and knows how to be polite. plus he really really cares about izzy. and i think it means a lot to maryse to see that. call it projection or mother's love or a little of both, but it's nice to have that reassurance that her daughter won't have to go through what she did.

Izzy: "Yeah, since Clary and Simon grew up mundane, they have made very different experiences than we have. And they have been trying to get us learn about them for a while."

Jace: "And it's gotten to a point where it's like a tiny little Clary is jumping up and down and yelling at me to do stuff in my head."

Izzy: "Same with me and imagining a little Simon, daring me into having the mundane kind of fun."

Alec: "You two sure you don't just have a concussion?"

Jace: "Come on! Don't pretend you don't have a glittery warlock running through your mind, telling you that: 'The world is your oyster, Alexander.'."

Izzy: "Share with the class, big brother! What's going on with the little Magnus in your head, hm? He dare you to do something scandalous yet? Like sending in the reports without doing a grammar check first?"

Jace: "Or being more than a minute late for work?"

Alec: "The little Magnus in my head is currently naked and tied to the bed, so no."

Izzy & Jace: shocked silence

Ahhh one character I’m so interesting to find out way more about is Thais Pedroso !!!

So far she seems like she’s going to be a really cool and really good friend to Dru (not to mention there planned to be roommates)

Cassie also described her as “Cassandra Clare describes her as a badass who "doesn't take anything from anyone" and who is a very loyal and good friend.”

I’ll be honest, I can kind of see her being an almost Isabelle Lightwood like character. Obviously she will be her own character with her own experiences but so far I’m kind of getting Isabelle similar vibes compared to any other character!!!

I’m actually so curious about her, we’ve seen snippets of Kit’s friend Anush, but we haven’t seen anything of her! I wonder what her role in the book will be, if she will be a POV character, if she’s going to have a romance with any character we’ve already met!!

I’ll be honest I’m a big weapon fanatic (I just really like swords) so I wonder what kind of weapon she could prefer.

I also wonder what her relationship with Dru will be like. It’s set up they’ll probably be best friends. My only genuine hope is that there friendship doesn’t get side lined (Lucie and Cordelia I will AVENGEEE YOUUUU😭😭😭)

I’m so curious if anyone has any headcannons or predictions for her? She seems so cool!!!
