✨ Maritime Memory ✨
A belated illustration for 'the end' of Splatoon 1.
It was a very difficult piece to work on, but I'm glad I pushed through and finished it.
Realising how much you changed throught time. Mourning what used to be, your memories, your hapiness.
Thank you Splatoon 1.

"What Will You Leave Behind?"
If you haven't played Spiritfarer yet, I cannot possibly recommend it enough. Emotional, wholesome, beautiful, and such a wonderful take on coming to terms with saying "goodbye." Thunder Lotus knocked it SO far out of the park with it, and it will forever be a favorite.

To the better Future!
I slept too much so I had to draw all at the end. I don’t think I like it, but I really wanted to do something..
Even though all my plans crushed out because of ✨life✨

Clarkia amoena (Godetia, Farewell-to-spring)
Farewell-to-spring is a summer flower. As the green grass watered by spring rains begins to dry out, Farewell-to-spring bursts into bloom. This native wildflower grows from British Columbia's coastal mountains, all the way down to the San Francisco Bay area. Farewell-to-spring is 'diurnal' which means it's flowers close at night and reopen with the morning sun. In the 1980's a number of cultivars were introduced in a variety of colors, some with large flowers and long stems. I prefer this shorter, native species myself and I think it's natural colors look just fine.
Incidentally, the name of the genus Clarkia, honors Captain William Clark of the amazing Lewis and Clark expedition to the Pacific Northwest in 1806.

i believe the best part of girlhood is wearing a saree for the first time for your farewell, never wanting to get out of it, and getting the types of compliments you've never received in your life. Full desi girl moment

Dear Fellow Tumblrs
For various reasons I need to step away from this place for a while, possibly for ever, and concentrate on some other things.
This blog has over 150,000 posts and I am very proud of it. However, the vast majority of the posts here originate from works by other, much more talented people than myself. I am grateful to everyone of those people whose marvellous abilities I have been able to use to build this blog.
I will check in here from time to time to process and possibly respond to any messages, asks or comments so please do contact me if you wish. Additionally, I have promised a few further posts in a series I’ve been working on for others, which I will complete. I will also, from time to time, take a look at a few of my favourite blogs to press the like button, I’ve done that almost 550,000 times over the last 12 years, apparently, so it’s a hard habit to break and it also provides proof of life!😂
It’s difficult for me to express just how strong my feelings for this place are. Most significant though are my feelings for some of the people here, whom I will never really know, but who have affected me very deeply. It would have been awesome to have become better acquainted with many of you in “real life”, but that was not to be. I do at least have the pleasure and honour of having been able to share some of this life with you.
Anyway, if you want to see the tiny fraction of this blog that I created you can do so with this link: My photography
But for now, golf-alpha-bravo, departing VFR to the west, thanks and farewell.
Keith.
