BURSTS THROUGH THE DOOR LATE FOR CHRISTMAS AAAAAAAAAA

I wanted to draw some coupley stardew arts for some of my friends/mutuals who made an impact on me this year! I had intended to do double this amount but I ran out of steam 😭 I spent all december like "I'm way too busy to make gift arts, I should skip it this year" then on christmas I was like "teehee and what if I did anyway~" so this is what I could manage in a few days 😩

Stardew Valley has been.. so awesome for me, it really helped me this year creatively, spiritually, mental healthfully, etc. and mostly my experience has been me yelling to my friends who have been into it for years while they nod knowingly, but I've also met some cool people in the fandom and I'm so happy for that! Only two of these are gifts for new friends, but like, I have met so many wonderful people since getting into this game and I'm really happy for it! If something I will make more random gift art throughout the next year, instead of waiting until christmas to have a "reason" for it and then rushing like this :') So I can get to the other people I planned to draw for but couldn't now!!

But yeah. All that to say, I've been really touched and inspired by the people I've met because of this cute little game! Happy new year y'all 🤠

OOOOOOOHHHH I love this; I have a few fics that could be qualified as "CLOSE" to mutations and superpowers, but not 100%. I have a lot more "changelings" than anything else. I've compiled together some of the ones on my MFL list as well, but I can't guarantee that they're mutants in them since I haven't read them.

If anyone has any fics that they can suggest, please do! I'm kind of into MCU fics right now so if I can have Sherlock-style in there too, that would be awesome! PLEASE let us know if you have mutant or Superhero Johnlock fics!!!

Fanfic writer tagging game!

Describe your writing process from idea to posting/publishing

It’s really not complex, I usually start writing the requests the next day after I receive them, and then I reply to the request and let the anon know whether I’ll be writing it or not (90% of the time I am). Then I write a really rough draft, read through it twice, then post either right then and there or schedule it :)

Are you a plotter or a pantser?

A mix of both? If it’s a long fic I’m a plotter through and through, but if it’s just a little drabble I write specifically on vibes lmao.

What do you listen to when you are writing?

Okay—DON’T MAKE FUN OF ME, but I have an Eris playlist (literally just Hozier, Noah Kahan, and Jeff Buckley) that I listen to when writing for him—but other than that, I’m normal and I listen to r&b or indie stuff!

What’s your drink of choice (while writing)?

Water. I genuinely think water is the best drink and I will die on this hill, nothing compares to an ice cold glass of water in the middle of the night (or any other time).

Promote yourself! What’s your favorite thing you’ve written?

Okay this was hard because I love (most) of my fics, they’re like all my children. But, I’d say Gifts and Debts is definitely up there, I had fun toying with the formatting and I ended up loving the way it turned out! But I’ve written what feels like hundreds of Az fics, so to switch it up I’d say my current favorite is Shun the Light, it was just so entertaining to write for Helion’s character and a close mutual of mine requested it so it was awesome being able to bounce ideas off each other since she’s sooo smart :)

Share a fic of yours that you think is underrated/deserves more love.

Anything in Eris week!! I adored writing for every prompt but it didn’t get as much recognition as I hoped for which is okay! But my favorite from the week was probably day seven if you want to check a specific one out :)

Do you have any advice for new writers?

Write anything and everything that gives you an idea down before you forget!!! You see a cute guy at a coffee shop and get an idea for a coffee au? WRITE IT DOWN. I have an entire notes folder full of random ideas that have turned into full fics.

What is a writing style/technique that others do really well that you'd like to get better at?

Second person pov. It’s the most basic requirement in (x reader) fanfic writing and some part of me just doesn’t have the motor skills to do it, like at all. I’ve tried and I end up reverting back to first person every time 😭😭

Is there a character you were surprised you enjoyed writing as much as you did?

Rhysand!! Rhys is rarely requested but I love toying with his character, while he’s the most known acotar male he’s also one of the most complex. There’s so much to explore within his character and I love writing for him! Especially a young Rhys, I really want to write a blood rite fic just haven’t gotten around to doing it. One of the first people who was interested to deep dive into my creations and ask about my stories and worlds They're probably competing with Rabid with how much I have to say about her/silly. 2. A headcanon you weren't sure about at first but have come to like! Ok this is hard to answer because I forget what's canon and what's intricately-woven-into-my-brain headcanon but I'll say the "Kariya was an Angel" theory! I never disliked it, but I never liked it more than the simpler explanation of "Oh he's just been around the block a couple of times, that's why he knows more than the average Reaper but still couldn't pick out Joshua as the Composer-that stuff's above his paygrade." Even now it's not "canon to me" level of headcanon, but I can see the appeal and really I appreciate anything that inspires people to look a littler closer at characters like Kariya or Uzuki. Also it's really good when played for comedy. His ass is showing up at the Angel convention, stealing as many appetizers as he can, and bouncing before anyone can point out that he got fired 30 years ago for skipping meetings to go play Tin Pin with random Wall Reapers.

3. A character that fandom has helped you appreciate It's too easy to say Coco so Beat! It's embarrassing to admit but I kinda had a bone to pick with him when I was first getting into the series for sorta "replacing Sho" in neo. I didn't think he was as interesting (and to be fair he really isn't in neo until you take his relation to Rindo's arc into consideration; he works wonderfully as a back for Rindo to hide behind even if his own story was very much concluded by the end of the first game. Then there's also his dynamic with Neku, which is very very good, but he didn't need to be a player character for that. Anyways). Beat analysis posting made me actually pay attention to him while replaying the games and realize how much I'd missed skimming over him in W2 (the poor guy's really gotta try to compete with fan darling Joshua and Sho, aka the loudest fucking man alive, for screen time). His stint as a Reaper is incredibly fascinating. I forget who, but I always distinctly remember someone talking about Beat getting prepped to try and deaden his heart and become as brutal and merciless as a Reaper is supposed to be before ultimately choosing kindness in both his siding with Neku and sparing Kariya and Uzuki in W3 and man.....yeah. He's just such a good guy. He's easily in the top 10 favs now, if not the top 5

1 - giant pandas have been one of my fave animals since i was a kid. i just think they're cool. and i like how unnecessarily roly-poly they are considering they can absolutely fuck your shit up

2 - cows are so beloved, they're so cute. i love those goofy fluffy ones the most, but any and all cows are good cows

3 - bats are awesome. i like that they come in two forms: sky puppy or fucked up little nightmare monster

A very late gift fic for the lovely @/momotonescreaming following the STWG prompt "Home"! Serious hurt/comfort with a sweet and hopeful ending, I ended up spending over three weeks getting this just the way I wanted and now I'm super happy with it!

She pretends not to notice, holds her neutrality for a few nauseating seconds before she sighs, closing her eyes and drawing her knees to her chest in a way that turns the subtle glance into full-force attention. “Do you think…” She starts, but finds the words stopping before they can get out of her head. Does he think she’ll die? Obviously he’s not going to tell her if he does. “Eh, sometimes.” Steve answers, shrugging lightly in a way that's playful but not flippant enough to derail the conversation. Chrissy huffs from the tinge of amusement, then tries again. _ Or: Chrissy lives, and now she has to survive hell while still carrying the pain that nearly killed her. Though it can't be fixed overnight, Steve and Robin give it their best shot.

a gift for @/stellarspecter from the STWG holiday gift exchange!! Tess is the one that originally got me falling in love with platonic stobin both dating Chrissy and man if we didn't have a time limit i could've *easily* made a whole season 4 rewrite for this and honestly struggled getting it down to this (a solid 1.5k over the soft max... whoops😅). all that to say, i adore this fic! soft, goofy, and a hopeful ending, if you're not already a stobissy fan I'd love the chance to convert ya 😉

He found the faucet by the faint glimmers of moonlight reflecting off the metal, filled his glass halfway, and drank lukewarm water, soothing his arid throat. Touch ghosted over his sides, the smallest pricks against his shirt, and Steve’s reflexes took over, elbow jabbing back behind him towards the touch, force strong and urgent that spun him around, back hitting the counter as his defense met no resistance. Steve exhaled, inhaled, exhaled. But there was nothing there.

first part i remember is nothing too special but i was with my baby cousin and she had her name changed for some reason and my whole family except me and probably my brother went to some random church event and i didn't go because i was sick (im probably sick irl so that may have contributed to the dream :P)

second part is i reinstalled crob (recurring dream) and it changed a lot since the last time i played and there was a new sugar crystal. the catch is if you gift it to a cookie they have a special message. and since i was a returning player i got 50 of those. i gave one to melon bun and saved her message and screamed "i love my wife i want to kiss her so bad" and posted the message onto tumblr and just keysmashed in the post in biggest font like this

How Does Worshipping The Gods Work?

TL;DR - this video is awesome and i have feels about it that I wish I understood better but don’t.

I find it just slightly frustrating that I keep connecting with BITS of things rather than any whole. I feel like it would be so much easier if I could somehow just stumble on some random religion and feel this moment of connection of like, yeah, that’s it, that’s what I’ve been looking for. Some Sterek thoughts I like

As requested by my awesome ride or die bestie mutual @that-grunge-fae here are some Sterek bits that I enjoy! Let me know if you want more!

They get together just after the Nogitsune. After months/years of pining and ST that you could cut with a knife, Derek finally snaps after realising just how close he had come to losing Stiles for good, the pain that came with somebody else wearing his skin.

Contrary to popular belief, Stiles makes the first move. In the summer whilst looking for Erica and Boys (whom stay alive and well in my head because I love them), he starts spending more time with Derek, bringing games and food and bullying Derek into actually living somewhere other than the ruins of his house. He does it knowingly and with the grudging support of his father.

Saying that, the Sheriff is not stupid. He knows there is more than meets the eye, and he also knows he would not be able to stop Stiles if he tried. He knew he would have to wait for Stiles to come to him. With that said, he also knows that Derek is a good kid, and a kid he is, he can remember how he was in the Before. He never believed Derek would do those things, and does not say a word when he gets reports of his son spending inordinate amounts of time with him.

In fact, the Sheriff is the one who starts off the Packwide bet, much to the horror of Scott.

He and Melissa both bet correctly, saying it would happen after Stiles is faced with unimaginable danger and certain death, within the year.

Scott says it will never happen at all in his denial

Lydia and Boyd get the closest after the parents, also saying within the year, but without the specifics

Erica bets within a moth for all of the tension between the two, Isaac says two years, and Jackson just ignores them all, but agrees with Erica. The pack just;; avoid Peter and discussing it with him

Stiles makes Derek get so flustered. Pet names and casual affection galore. Sweethearts and Darling and Babe. Brushing a hand along his back, his hands. Resting a chin over his shoulder. It amuses the Pack to a great extent.

Derek is more of a silent affectionate type. Gift giving is his love language. Repairing the Jeep, finding magical tomes, sending Stiles random article links he thinks he will enjoy.

There is no big or little spoon, because Stiles just flops. Everywhere. They are always entangled and sprawled out.

They can both cook, Derek from years on the hiding from Hunters with Laura, and Stiles from after his mother's death, and it is a major sore spot for both of them, but it doesn't mean they don't enjoy doing it. They surprise each other with homemade lunches and dinner dates. Derek even makes the Sheriff some heart healthy, but still delicious, meals he can enjoy at the station because he has more free time, and wants both of the Stilinski men to be happy.

Stiles slipped a house key onto the Camaro keys one day, without saying anything, and Derek doesn't notice until Stiles locks himself out of the house one day and calls. Derek will deny being emotional about it, even more so when the Sheriff calls him Son and welcomes him home every time.

Derek doesn't get a chance to give Stiles a housekey, purely for the fact Stiles went ahead and made copies of every important key in Beacon Hills for himself, but Derek does give him a key to the Camaro, which is even more emotional.

"Oh my, yes it is indeed me."

He was shocked, you looked so beautiful, you suddenly came out of the water, he instantly spotted the scales on your arms, legs and everywhere around your body.

"Are..Are you A MERMAID?!" He yelled, not caring if anyone heard him, all he wanted were answers right now.

"Not quite mermaid, No~ I'm a siren!" You said slowly, with some blood dripping down your legs.

"Are you okay?! Are you hurt??" He asked, looking REALLY worried.

"No..That's not my blood, it was a random sailors, my abillity is to attract anyone with my song, or to hypnotise them, that allows me to kill them in water."

He didn't know you had an abillity, He didn't know! Why didn't he know? Why didn't he look into you like he does with anyone else?! Did you..Hypnotise him?

"...Why do you kill?"

"I don't have a choice, it's how my abillity is structured, it can only be used to kill, not for good."

"But, you made me stop killing everyday, I kill so rarely now, I have made progress haven't I?"

You walked to him, suddenly hugging him, get some sea water on his clothes, you smelled of the calming sea.
