here i'll give you #20 for the ask game!!! :D
i was gonna do rod/nicky for this but my answer fit princekate much better so
christmas eve. like. at the beginning she immediately tells kate to pursue him and then says she might throw the bouquet to kate as a good luck thing while she's dating princeton and then also tells kate to forgive princeton and tells her to try and mend their relationship. she is working overtime for these two.

Home for Christmas
Not all resolutions were given the depth I hoped for (it felt like to much of it was cut and come on Disney nothing was stopping you from making it longer) but I was very satisfied that Tomas made up with his girlfriend. Even if it meant they went to Maroon 5 concert instead of Imagine Dragons. And it was nice of him to thank Kate.
And I suppose many of the theory channels were disappointed but I loved that Jack turned out to be nothing more than comic relief. And almost a hero (maybe even joining all the LARPers). The real villain in the family clearly is Armand the VII. The MCU's next big bad.
I was also glad none of the LARPers got killed. I loved that people only listened to them when they put on costumes. After decade and a half the civilians in the MCU know now that costumed people are the ones in charge in emergency and you should listen to them.
I was pretty sure that Maya’s story resolution will end up with her just cutting ties with the criminal world so this ending was fine with me. I didn’t expect her to kill both her main anchor points - Kazi and Uncle - but I suspected she would ask Kazi to leave with her (but he was way too much 2014 Nebula). This is what her father wanted so it had to end there before her own series.
Still, I suspect Fisk is not dead. We didn’t see the body and Echo series still needs a villain. Whether managed to block the shot or survived it he is going to be pissed and that conflict would be nice starting point of Maya’s trajectory of becoming a hero. But that Christmas Eve should teach him not to underestimate women.
However, his turn in this was a little disappointing. The way he was so easily left unguarded and vulnerable. The way you can't really feel how big a threat he is without watching Daredevil. The way he is basically on the run from the police anyway because Yelena managed to get him and Eleanor on tape. All this ending with him being taken down with so little effort makes Hawkeye being all worried about him getting involved feel disappointing. He's only scary because I watched Daredevil on Netflix. But there was not enough of that intensity here to really feel the danger (and him using Tracksuit Mafia as henchmen doesn't help as they are to inept to ever succeed). It needed more time to at least properly set up him being there in person. Although the way Vincent D'Onofrio just threw Hailee Steinfield aground looked awesome and properly Kingpin.
Although it wasn't as fun as the fight where Yelena is trying not to hurt Kate too much but also gets more and more annoyed but finally respectful was really well done. It is a start of a beautiful friendship for the next generation of Black Widow and Hawkeye.
I was also certain Yelena thing would be resolved by talking. Yelena’s interactions with both Kate and Clint were great. Of course Clint knew about Yelena and the whistle. Natasha would've told him who else (besides Laura and the she was hoping to get back and why it mattered so much. She already regained family that seemed irrevocably lot once (and saw that love isn't just for children) so she kept the hope it could happen again when Clint lost it. Of course she told him why. She kept Avengers going through the Blip all the way to getting means to reverse it even if it meant never seeing people she lost again. The important part was that they will be alive even if they had to deal with her loss afterwards. That they didn't get enough time together breaks my heart but I appreciate show taking the time to show us how much she mattered when Endgame didn't.
And I loved how in the end Clint admitted he and Kate are partners. Even if every time he says "Kate - no" she says "Kate - yes" they work really well together. It was great he took her in along with the dog (who got his proper name Lucky off screen - one more proof this episode left too much on cutting floor). Adopting new family members is a Burton family thing. Especially ones with really messed up family (although I was a little disappointed Yelena didn't come too). And now that he burnt the Ronin suit and got Laura's SHIELD watch too (he did marry Agent 19) he can properly retired (despite that great new outfit) and pass the name (Lady Hawk is a good movie but bad code name).
I just wish that Clint's time as Ronin didn't got swept under the carpet again like it never happened (yes, I'm complaining about lack of consequences). Kate sends her mother to jail for doing bad things but she doesn't even bat an eye when she learns about Clint. Yelena was right - just being one of Avenger is not a reason to ignore the bad shit they do. And yet, in the MCU, they never suffer any consequences (I suppose it's true to life but this is supposed to be a fantasy).
Still, I loved how Kate explains why Hawkeye mattered to her so much as a hero. The way he showed that you can still matter without superpowers or a suit. Just a guy with sticks and string fighting aliens and helping save the day and making her believe she could be a hero too. New Hawkeye even.

Street Rat Christmas
Summary: It’s (Y/n)’s first Christmas season with their new family but they don’t want to give up an old tradition. The problem? Jason and Selina are the only one’s in the family that have heard of the tradition, a Street Rat Christmas. The Batfamily, the Kent’s, and the Outlaws are going to be in for the culture shock of their lives as they find out why Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning are always so peaceful in the City of Demons, no matter the crimes that took place just before.
Note: Gender Neutral!Reader, Sweet and Friendly!Reader
Warning: Mention of Death
•••
Yet another sigh escaped from (Y/n)’s lips as they watched the snow gently fall to the ground through the window. The book that they were reading was abandoned in their lap as their (e/c) eyes watched the snowflakes shine and float down in the golden sunlight. Damian couldn’t help but frown at his sibling’s actions, he had been with his father for the past five years and he himself understood that Christmas was a time to be happy. Yet, he couldn’t seem to wrap his head around the fact that his normally happy sibling was depressed. Even Damian felt rather pleasant and calm during the two days the holiday was overly focused on.
“Is something the matter (L/n)? Typically you’re more chipper.”
“It’s just my first Christmas without my parents,” (Y/n) replied to him rather sadly. They were remembering how fun Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning always was for their family. Perhaps they could sneak out tonight and join the festivities? “It’s strange, we would be out preparing by now.”
Damian gave (Y/n) a rather quizzical look at that. He understood when they said that they would miss their parents, he couldn’t blame them. However, (Y/n) didn’t come from an amazing or rich family so the preparation note caught him off guard. (Y/n) could’ve been dubbed a street rat by many different people before Bruce had adopted them, and Damian was pretty sure that they had been called a street rat before. Hearing them say preparing was a strange thing, it wasn’t possible for their family since they couldn’t afford something big. Yet, it sounded like a yearly thing for his newest sibling to go through during the holiday season. (Y/n) shot him a smile before they left for their room, taking their book with them. Damian left the study shortly after (Y/n) had left and found himself at the enterance of the living room.
The room was lovely and had many decorations hung up around the room, making it look like the room had been part of a winter wonderland competition and the music in the background was a nice touch. Dick was sitting in an arm chair with Kori on his lap as the pair talked to Roy and Jason who sat on the closer end of the couch. Tim was talking to Kon and Lois on the other side of the couch while Cass talked quietly with Steph, Barbara, and Kate. Selina was sitting next to Bruce as he talked with Clark who had Jon at his side. The room was rather busy with chatter and far too loud for his tastes but he had learned to live with it at this point.
“Hey Damian!” Jon called out to his friend when he noticed him at the entryway. All conversation turn to a pivoting stop to the point that the sweet Christmas songs filled the air of the room. It was a known fact that Damian didn’t spend much time with his family on Christmas Eve until after lunch which was in two hours. “I was wondering where you were.”
Damian nodded his own greeting and understanding to his friend’s words. “I’m sure Jon. I’m however curious about something that doesn’t quite involve me but it does involve (L/n).”
That had caught the whole room’s attention. Everyone knew that (Y/n) was a helpful and sweet soul with little to absolutely no hurtful bone in their whole body.
“Is she alright?” Dick asked worriedly.
“Currently, I’m unaware. I’m well aware that it is their first Christmas without their family but they said something that peaked my interest.”
“What was it?”
“Well, they simply said that their family and themself would be out preparing for some sort of event at this point in time.”
Damian didn’t miss the look that Selina and Jason shared with the other, or the faint smiles on their lips. They had a look in their eyes that was similar if not identical to the one (Y/n) had held not that long ago.
“Preparing for what?” Tim asked curiously. His younger sibling tended to keep closer to Damian and Jason more than anyone else the family knew with the exception perhaps being Alfred.
Damian simply shook his head and kept himself from insulting the older boy, “I’m unaware. It simply peaked my interest because as we all know, (L/n) didn’t come from a very financially stable family. The way that they talked made it sound like an annual event.”
“A tradition on Christmas Eve? In Gotham?” Roy had almost laughed in disbelief. “That’s completely ridiculous. You said it yourself demon spawn, (Y/N) came from a pretty poor family, they don’t exactly have an overwhelming amount their family and them could do.
“No true,” Jason cut off before anyone could agree with his redhead friend. “I actually knew (Y/n) before she ever even met Bruce and moved in because of the festivities that take place on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. Most people call it a Street Rat Christmas but the official term is a Street Rat Holiday. To put it simply, it’s the only break any street rat or poor family tends to get throughout the whole year.”
Bruce leaned forward at the newly acquired information. To him it sounded just like a charity event that takes place on Christmas Eve and Christmas in the worker side of town. The man couldn’t help but feel surprised that he had never heard of such an event even though he lived in Gotham for so long.
“How much do you know about it?” Tim asked.
“A lot,” Jason replied with a simple shrug of his shoulders. “I still tend to go every Christmas Eve no matter what. I don’t count the years I was either dead or presumably dead but I still go, I don’t care if there is a mission, I go.”
“What happens?
“Peace,” Jason smiled slightly. “We should go tonight. You guys just can’t attack or snap at anyone, you have to enjoy yourselves.”
“Why on earth would we snap or attack?” Dick spoke in surprise.
Jason couldn’t stop the small snort or the smirk pulling on his face. “Villains attend the festivities as well. There was an arrangement made between the villains, people, and GCPD that as long as they didn’t harm or make any sort of threats to anyone for that night or the next morning that they could attend.”
“And people talk and interact with them?” Kate spoke up, looking rather stunned by the information.
Selina couldn’t help but nod in agreement, “indeed. I attended a few years back and (Y/n) was there with their family while talking to all sorts of people. They mostly talked to Riddler, Two-Face, and Penguin when it came to interacting with the villains but they did interact with every villain. That includes Joker. Their family was always active in helping set up the event.
Jon had perked up like a puppy dog before speeding out of the room and up the stairs before coming back with a rather flustered looking (Y/n) in his arms. Gently he set them down on the floor which caused them to let out a small sigh of relief. It wasn’t like they didn’t trust Jon, they did, but it was different when he came into their room, picked them up and rushed them down to the living room at super speed. They were still getting used to the whole “living with superheroes” thing as it had only been two months since they moved in.
“What is going on?” They questioned after a moment.
“Just talking about how a Street Rat Christmas functions,” Jason replied to his younger sibling.
No one could miss the way that (Y/n)’s eyes had lit up at the mention of the event. They seemed happier almost immediately at the reminder of the event.
“Oh! Can we go?” (Y/n) turned to Bruce with large kitten eyes that Selina most definitely approved of. “Pleeeeaaaassseee?”
Bruce chuckled at his child’s beg for approval. He already knew what his choice was going to be but first, “I want to know more about this event before I agree to anything.”
“Well, where did I leave off?” Selina wondered. The newest family addition sat on the floor near Bruce and Selina while dragging Damian down and over with them.
“Villains,” Kori reminded.
Selina snapped her fingers with a smile, “right!”
–––
The group had arrived at a large park filled with people and laughter. A giant tree stood tall in the middle of the park and was decorated with all sorts of different and even strange ordiments that were clearly brought or made by the people at the party. Damian could help but let a faint smile appear on his lips as his sibling dragged him toward the main party.
None of the secret heroes could miss the villains in the crowd that greeted the pair with an honest to god real smile. They even saw Joker gift (Y/n) with a very pretty box, the fact made them tense at the sight but for some reason Jason was calm about it. He was calm about seeing his murderer gift his little sibling with a box that could very easily hold a trigger bomb. It made no sense and yet that is how it played out. The young Wayne had opened the gift with a smile and found it to be a purple and green scarf, something that was clearly made with the help of the Riddler.
The family moved around and tried the different activities such as a snow man building contest (Tim and Dick got third place), a scavenger hunt (Damian, Jason, and (Y/n) had easily won that), dance battle to Christmas music (Selina joined forces with Ivy and they got fifth), create an ordiment to hang on the giant tree, ice Christmas cookies, drink hot cocoa, ice skating, a Christmas song karaoke challenge, and many more events. Homeless kids and families were given blankets and clothes as well as other supplies at the end of the night. At three minutes to midnight everyone had gathered around the tree and many were talking excitedly, the kids especially.
“We wish you a merry Christmas”
The Waynes were surprised when everyone began to sing in perfect harmony, the villains, Jason, (Y/N), Selina, and many others were leading the uncertain children and newcomers in the song. Jason had a young girl in his arms who was singing along with him while looking at the glowing tree.
“We wish you a merry Christmas/ We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year”
Dick, Kori, Roy, and Steph had joined in the singing as well but to their surprise so had Damian. It was much quieter than the others but still noticeable enough.
“Good tidings we bring to you and your kin/We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year”
As everyone sang Bruce had decided one thing, he was going to have to participate in a Street Rat Christmas every year until he died. His family had been happier than they have in ages while Selina, Jason, and (Y/n) all got to keep a familiar tradition close to them and have the time to remember those that they love and miss; they all did.

Castle Ficlet: Light Spectacular 1/1
Light Spectacular
"Momma, it's so pretty."
Kate smiles, looping her arm around her son's shoulders and drawing him into her side. As exhausted as she is and as long as her shift had been, it had been a good idea for them to come tonight. There's a wonder on her son's face that she hasn't seen in so long. And these Christmas lights really are spectacular this year.
Her lips touch his forehead, an obnoxious wet smack that makes him laugh and attempt to squirm away from her. She doesn't let him go, though, just holds him tighter as he giggles. It's so good to hear him giggle.
"It is pretty," she agrees, looking around the crowd. There aren't many onlookers at this point in the night – it is getting late on Christmas Eve night, after all – but the other spectators look just as enthralled as her son.
Including a familiar face and the girl she’s heard so very much about but has only interacted with in passing. Even in a colorful crochet cap, she would recognize that red hair.
His smile widens when he spots her, and she just knows he'll be whispering to Alexis a second later.
Sure enough, the pair makes their way over to them during the next burst of applause from the crowd.
"Beckett, hey."
She smiles, rubbing her son's chest when he lifts his head in question. "Hey Castle. I didn't expect to see you around here tonight. This is Tyler," she adds, knowing he's already guessed as much; her son is no secret to him, to anyone around the precinct, even though they've never met.
Castle's smile widens and he holds out a hand to Ty. "It is so nice to finally meet you, Tyler. Your mom talks about you all the time."
Tyler pumps Castle's hand, echoing the sentiment and adding, "but she says 'ugh' a lot, too. Or she used to."
Her writer shadow laughs. "I think I've grown on her." Kate purses her lips and neither confirms nor denies that, but they both know he's right. He is more than the annoyance she was saddled with last year; he's become a friend. "This is Alexis, my daughter. She's not much older than you."
Tyler and Alexis exchange waves.
Castle straightens up, turning back to Kate. "We try to come every year after dinner. It's nice to just walk and see how everyone else is celebrating."
"And there's also the hot chocolate," Alexis says from his side. "The café at the end of the row has the best hot chocolate."
Kate grins. "I'd heard that. That's where we're heading too, I think. If my partner in crime here doesn't mind having hot cocoa before dinner," she adds, looking to her son. Yeah, like a seven-year-old is going to turn down chocolate.
Tyler nods, his eyes bright and eager. "Oh yeah."
She smiles, squeezing him. She's trying to make this year better than last, better than any before. So what if that means he'll be a little sugared up when they get home.
Castle grins. "Well, the café does have a surprisingly good food menu, too. So, you could probably kill two birds with one stone."
He has a point. And it would be easier than traipsing back home and then making dinner. She squeezes Tyler again.
"Chicken fingers?" Ty asks, looking between them. Castle nods, leaning over again.
"The best chicken fingers, just ask Alexis."
Kate bites her lip as Tyler leans back and looks at Alexis.
The girl nods in confirmation. "They're so good. You'll like them."
Tyler grins again. "S'good with me, Momma."
"Well then, that's what we'll do." She nods.
Castle and Alexis nod too, offering them easy smiles. "Well, we should let you go, that way you can get your chicken fingers and hot chocolate and get home before Santa."
"Why don't you join us?" she asks, feeling the words fall out of her mouth before they even register what she's saying. "We're all going to the same place, after all. If you don't mind us eating our dinner in front of you… you could join us?"
Her shadow – partner – searches her face for sincerity. He knows how much time with Ty means to her, and what it means that she's inviting him and Alexis into that world.
"That sounds great, Beckett. Thanks."
Alexis nods. "Thanks, Kate. And don't worry, I'm sure Dad will order snacks, too."
Kate chuckles. She's sure he will. Castle’s that kind of person.
"In that case, shall we head to the next light display?"
Both kids nod. Tyler pulls away, walking a little bit ahead when Kate gives him the okay, leaving her with Castle at her side.
"Glad you came?" Castle asks as they trail their kids. She nods, feeling his shoulder brush hers with every step.
"Yeah, Castle," she murmurs. "Yeah, I am."
-------
I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a peaceful day. I hope these ficlets have helped to give you a little bit of joy today. Thank you for reading them, thank you for being here with me.
Until next time, everyone.

Transiting Juno enters Aries
April 28 - July 1, 2018
Juno, the Lady Asteroid of committed relationships, has a natural affinity with the sign Libra - and therefore, when she finds herself in independent, headstrong Aries, Juno may not exactly appear to be well-placed. People seem more “committed” to their relationships with their own freedom and autonomy. And indeed, a transit of Juno through Aries will certainly bring those kinds of relationship issues to the forefront.
This transit may be a lot of fun, and perhaps beneficial, for singles - we can all work on our relationships with ourselves! We can take ourselves out on dates! In fact, given the nature of the aspects Juno will make, our ability to be independent will be tested. Do we really have what it takes to go it alone? Some of us will be “up” for that challenge; conversely, others will be terrified at the prospect of solitude. We’re likely to take some risks in our pursuit of others - but more likely to be impulsive and headstrong. Please, please remember to think things through whenever possible!
People in existing relationships either will need plenty of “space,” and/or will have partners who suddenly need more “space.” We’re worried about unequal relationships in that we suspect our partners may be trying to gain some advantage over us. We’re also very fond of having our own way in partnerships - we want 51% of the power. It may be useful, and illuminating, to consider the relationship as an entity unto itself.
But, Juno isn’t just significant others.
Protocol and social ritual: manners, courtesy, all that etiquette stuff. There isn’t going to be a lot of patience for “trite” things like “please” and “thank you,” but at the same time we’ll be plenty pissed off if other people aren’t polite to us.
Feminine beauty: again, the Aries lack of patience will certainly manifest itself here as not wanting to waste a lot of time on this or that beautification process. (Which will be amplified while Venus remains in Gemini.) We might also be tempted into some “instant,” impulsive thing, like a drastic haircut.
Creative talent in the arts: everybody’s a soloist!
Women’s rights: “militant feminist” comes right to mind. How unfortunate that there is so much to be militant about. We’re impelled to take action against all oppression and to “strike a blow” for equality. Speaking of which….
Symbol for/of the powerless: I keep seeing Diana Prince.
Weather and the atmosphere: this is the scary part. Juno through Aries will square first Saturn/Capricorn and then Pluto/Capricorn; both are indicative of harsh, difficult weather situations. We can get into a lot of trouble when we’re too imprudent and overconfident.
Celebrities with Juno in Aries:
Robert Plant, Barack Obama, Rihanna, Albert Einstein, Heath Ledger, 14th Dalai Lama, Alexander the Great, Naomi Campbell, Drew Barrymore, Charles, Prince of Wales, Axl Rose, Lorde, Daniel Day-Lewis, Kate Hudson, James McAvoy, Francoise Sagan, Judy Garland, Zendaya, Tina Fey, Ozzy Osbourne, Isabelle Huppert, John D. Rockefeller, Vladimir Lenin, Norah Jones, Robin Wright, Sid Vicious
Sunday, April 29, Chiron/Aries conjunct Juno/Aries, 0:38
This is so intriguing to me - both Juno and Chiron have associations with the sign Libra (at least in my cosmology they do), but here they are, conjunct in earliest Aries. Issues about self-worth will undoubtedly crop up at this time. How can we expect to have healthy, fulfilling relationships with other people, when our relationship with ourselves is so damaged? If deep down we don’t believe ourselves worthy or deserving - if we’re looking for self-validation through having a relationship with someone else - we can only fail.
Planets/Points affected lie between 00:00 and 1:38 of all signs, and between 14:38 and 16:38 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*..
Tuesday, May 8, Vesta Rx/Capricorn square Juno/Aries, 4:54
Vesta has JUST stationed retrograde; this will most likely manifest as overwhelming self-absorption. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, or a new situation; we’ve all been exhorted to “know thyself” since the Delphic Oracle at least. We run into trouble when we expect everybody else to be as fascinated with ourselves (or more so) than we are. Remember another old maxim - “To make a friend, be one” - and use that as a guide for the navel-gazing.
Planets/Points affected lie between 3:54 and 5:54 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*; and between 18:54 and 20:54 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*.
Tuesday, May 15, Saturn Rx/Capricorn square Juno/Aries, 8:31
The “severe weather warnings” go up, as this square is bound up in the Taurus New Moon. Add in plenty of issues about self-worth. We can’t go into relationships expecting the other person(s) to “complete” us or to make up for our shortcomings. If we’re personally lacking, we need to make up for it ourselves (with determined and persistent effort), rather than attempting to camouflage our flaws via a flashy relationship. And, don’t shirk responsibilities.
Planets/Points affected lie between 7:31 and 9:31 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*; and between 22:31 and 24:31 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*.
Friday, May 18, North Node/Leo trine Juno/Aries, 9:37; South Node/Aquarius sextile Juno/Aries, 9:37
Speaking of self-worth! How much of our self-assessment is based on what other people think of us, versus what we know deep down, to be of genuine, authentic truth? The majority of us want to be liked and approved of by others; we don’t always worry about (again) being worthy of others’ regard. And we do some pretty drastic, ultimately alienating things when we’re afraid of losing others’ regard. Better to be “just” ourselves.
Planets/Points affected lie between 8:37 and 10:37 of the yang signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.
Saturday, June 2, Venus/Cancer square Juno/Aries, 16:46
Clashing family values - to illustrate the kinds of idiotic fights this can portend, I can use the very real controversy about when to open presents, on Christmas Eve versus on Christmas Day. We are really just so stupidly set on our tribal traditions, sometimes, without really thinking too much (or too deeply) about them. We bachelors/spinsters may rub our single blessedness into everybody’s face. This could also go 100% the other way, and we bring home a potential partner guaranteed to set off parental/tribal disapproval.
Planets/Points affected lie between 15:46 and 17:46 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*; and between 0:46 and 2:46 of the mutable signs Gemini*, Virgo*, Sagittarius*, and Pisces*.
Friday, June 7, Mercury/Gemini sextile Juno/Aries, 19:12
Lightweight and lighthearted - very chatty, talky, hand-holding flirtations. (With perhaps some lingering through the weekend, as the Moon joins in the action on the 8th and 9th.) This is excellent for communicating couples being able to listen to each other, too. Our voices are right there, ready to go.
Planets/Points affected lie between 18:12 and 20:12 of the yang signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius; placements between 18:12 and 20:12 receive a transiting yod, indicating a need for adjustments; placements between 18:12 and 20:12 receive a transiting double semi-sextile, introducing an element of gwood timing.
Monday, June 11, Pluto Rx/Capricorn square Juno/Aries, 20:45
More severe weather, and not just climate. The kinds of tensions caused by this square boil down, mostly, to issues of domination - especially within relationships, of course, but also within the larger society. We’re liable to lash out against institutional, structural racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, all the myriad ways “you’re not a straight white Christian property-owning male, so you don’t count.” We aren’t particularly in a frame of mind to team up with others, but that’s what it will take to correct this.
Planets/Points affected lie between 19:45 and 21:45 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*; and between 4:45 and 6:45 of the mutable signs Gemini*, Virgo*, Sagittarius*, and Pisces*.
Tuesday, June 12, Sun/Gemini sextile Juno/Aries, 21:17
On the heels of yesterday’s square between Juno-Pluto, this is an opportunity to learn a little more about ourselves based on what (if anything) we did to relieve that square’s tensions. It’s good for the kind of breezy social interactions of basic “networking” - establishing preliminary rapport with others. We can be extremely charming, if we so choose.
Planets/Points affected lie between 20:17 and 22:17 of the yang signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius; placements between 20:17 and 22:17 receive a transiting yod, indicating a need for adjustments; placements between 20:17 and 22:17 receive a transiting double semi-sextile, introducing an element of good timing.
Monday, June 18, Eris/Aries conjunct Juno/Aries, 24:00
At first, superficial glance, this bodes ill for relationships, as the goddesses of marriage and strife join together. Some couples thrive on conflict, though! Think of this as a thunderstorm on an unbearably hot day - it’s loud and violent, and when it’s over the air is cooler and we feel refreshed. This may bring out Juno’s protective side, as well - we can channel and manifest our inner Xena, today.
Planets/Points affected lie between 23:00 and 25:00 of all signs, and between 8:00 and 10:00 of the mutable signs Gemini*, Virgo*, Sagittarius*, and Pisces*.
Thursday, June 28, Mercury/Cancer square Juno/Aries, 28:38
We end Juno through Aries on another argumentative note. Habitual, unthinking adherence to tribal thoughts is a pitfall. “My family has always believed XYZ; how dare you come here with your ZYX” - petty nonsense like that. *IF* we’re listening *at all*, we’re liable to misunderstand what we think we hear. And a late-Capricorn Moon will add to the overall pessimism and negativity, as well as our tendency to respond overly harshly. We need a lot of Libran calm, courtesy, and balance, to navigate through these difficulties.
Planets/Points affected lie between 27:38 and 29:38 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*; and between 12:38 and 14:38 of the mutable signs Gemini*, Virgo*, Sagittarius*, and Pisces*.

• Every piece of the universe, even the tiniest little snow crystal, matters somehow. I have a place in the pattern, and so do you. Thinking of you this holiday season! – T.A. Barron • For me, I think everybody with half a heart tries to do their best to do their part of good during the holiday season. – Darren Criss • I don’t believe in western morality, i.e. don’t kill civilians or children, don’t destroy holy sites, don’t fight during holiday seasons, don’t bomb cemeteries, don’t shoot until they shoot first because it is immoral. The only way to fight a moral war is the Jewish way: Destroy their holy sites. Kill men, women and children (and cattle). – Manis Friedman
jQuery(document).ready(function($) var data = action: 'polyxgo_products_search', type: 'Product', keywords: 'Holiday+Season', orderby: 'rand', order: 'DESC', template: '1', limit: '68', columns: '4', viewall:'Shop All', ; jQuery.post(spyr_params.ajaxurl,data, function(response) var obj = jQuery.parseJSON(response); jQuery('#thelovesof_holiday-season').html(obj); jQuery('#thelovesof_holiday-season img.swiper-lazy:not(.swiper-lazy-loaded)' ).each(function () var img = jQuery(this); img.attr("src",img.data('src')); img.addClass( 'swiper-lazy-loaded' ); img.removeAttr('data-src'); ); ); ); • I have to confess I can’t have the holiday season without “Hard Candy Christmas”. For some reason, it makes me think of the sticky ribbon candy bowl my mid-western grandma always had. – Hank Stuever • I keep exercising even when the days are much shorter. Not only is this a great stress reliever for me to get in a nice run, but it’s also my ‘me time’ when I can just get away from all the holiday season obligations. – David Niu • I like to compare the holiday season with the way a child listens to a favorite story. The pleasure is in the familiar way the story begins, the anticipation of familiar turns it takes, the familiar moments of suspense, and the familiar climax and ending. – Fred Rogers • I love the holiday season, almost as much as I love touching myself in – front of orphans. – Zach Braff • I remember being banned from other houses as a younger child during the winter holiday season; I was the only one who didn’t believe in Santa Claus, and I was ruining everyone’s Christmas. – Jami Attenberg • I think one of the finest gifts I can give my friends in the holiday season is to pause with a long enough quality to actually SEE them. My calm, unhurried presence communicates this gift of a message, “I see you. I recognize you. I remember our times of together and am contributing right now to another quality memory. I value you and honor and take the time, right this moment to pause long enough to truly notice you.” – Mary Anne Radmacher • In most instances, at all costs, do NOT check a bag. Especially during the holiday season. You have more flexibility to switch flights, switch airlines or even leave the airport and get a rental car to drive to your next destination. If the airline has your bag, they also have you. – Beth Mowins • In the old days, it was not called the Holiday Season; the Christians called it “Christmas” and went to church; the Jews called it “Hanukka” and went to synagogue; the atheists went to parties and drank. People passing each other on the street would say “Merry Christmas!” or “Happy Hanukka!” or (to the atheists) “Look out for the wall!” – Dave Barry • Instead of waiting until the holiday season – when mail solicitations flood in from worthy organizations – and making a flurry of gifts because this is the time of year to give, sit down and take stock. Identify your passion, learn about it, and direct your time, mind, and dollars to aligned causes and organizations. – Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen • It is a miracle if you can find true friends, and it is a miracle if you have enough food to eat, and it is a miracle if you get to spend your days and evenings doing whatever it is you like to do, and the holiday season – like all the other seasons – is a good time not only to tell stories of miracles, but to think about the miracles in your own life, and to be grateful for them, and that’s the end of this particular story. – Daniel Handler • I’ve been working with Operation Smile for a number of years, and $240 changes and saves, in many cases, saves a child’s life. But one of the things I’m super excited about is my partnership with Boston Market this holiday season and we’ve partnered up not only to help everybody out during the holidays because we know how crazy it gets. – Kate Walsh • No matter where you go, no matter how many gifts you give and receive this holiday season, unless you are actually present, it all flies by as if in a dream. Satisfaction in anything–a meal, an interaction, a gift, a sunset–depends on your willingness to take it in. Breathe. Feel your arms and your legs. You are allowed to love every little thing about yourself and your life. You are allowed to take up space and be all that you are. Really you are. – Geneen Roth • Once again we find ourselves enmeshed in the Holiday Season, that very special time of year when we join with our loved ones in sharing centuries-old traditions such as trying to find a parking space at the mall. We traditionally do this in my family by driving around the parking lot until we see a shopper emerge from the mall, then we follow her, in very much the same spirit as the Three Wise Men, who 2,000 years ago followed a star, week after week, until it led them to a parking space. – Dave Barry • Once again we find ourselves enmeshed in the Holiday Season, that very special time of year when we join with our loved ones in sharing centuries-old traditions such as trying to find a parking space at the mall. – Dave Barry • Once again, we come to the Holiday Season, a deeply religious time that each of us observes, in his own way, by going to the mall of his choice. – Dave Barry • One of the best parts of the holiday season is spending time with the special people in your life. – Barack Obama • Overspending is as certain a part of the holiday season as overeating. But pushing away from both the table and the cash register at least a little bit sooner can make the post-holiday hangover hurt a little bit less. – Jeffrey Kluger • The ACLU spent this entire holiday season protesting public displays of the nativity scene. Yeah, that’s the problem with America right now: Public displays of Christ’s birth, that’s the problem. It’s unbelievable to me. The ACLU will no longer fight for your right to put up a nativity scene, but they’ll fight for the right of the local freak who wants to stumble onto the scene and have sex with one of the sheep. – Dennis Miller • The concerted effort to minimize Christmas has resulted in it being our national Happy Holiday holiday. The Christmas season is now the holiday season. Christmas parties are now holiday parties. Christmas is a time for giving and receiving presents and in many homes, nothing more. Who is this fellow, Jesus Christ, anyway? – Lyn Nofziger • The FDA is now warning people not to eat raw cookie dough this holiday season. Is that how fat we’re getting in this country? Our ovens are too slow now? – Jay Leno • The holiday season is a time for storytelling, and whether you are hearing the story of a candelabra staying lit for more than a week, or a baby born in a barn without proper medical supervision, these stories often feature miracles. Miracles are like pimples, because once you start looking for them you find more than you ever dreamed you’d see, and this holiday story features any number of miracles, depending on your point of view. – Daniel Handler • The holiday season promotes a heightened sense of community. It draws our chins up and helps us look above and over the limiting fence of our own events, activities and preoccupations. The opportunity for a heroic gesture can tap you quietly on the shoulder in the midst of a holiday bustle. If you are attentive, you will notice the gentle touch and will be able to respond. Remember… There are no small acts of kindness. Every compassionate act makes large the world. – Mary Anne Radmacher • The proper behavior all through the holiday season is to be drunk. This drunkenness culminates on New Year’s Eve, when you get so drunk you kiss the person you’re married to. – P. J. O’Rourke • There are a lot of Grinches out there that would like nothing better than to take any references to religion out of the holiday season. – Ernest Istook • Thoughts turn to other’s just a little more this time of year. Days grow shorter and memories grow longer. Families and friends gather in celebration or hope. Giving is a reflection of our love and caring for each other and those less fortunate. May your thoughts turn to gratitude this holiday season and carry on throughout the next year. – James A. Murphy III • Wal-Mart doesn’t really care about your faith. Wal-Mart cares if you have money to spend, and it is going to be as generic as possible in exploiting the holiday season for every buck it can make. – Richard Roeper • You folks feeling the economic pinch? Are you a little fed up with the economic news? It’s bad. The department stores, this holiday season, no Santa Claus. They’re laying off department-store Santa Clauses. So more bad news for John McCain. – David Letterman
