Happy 10th anniversary to The Book of Life!!! 💀⚰️🇲🇽🎉😍🐂🎸🎼🎵🎶🪇🥁🎻🎺🎸

On this day October 17th 2014 The book of Life was released in theaters directed by Jorge R. Gutierrez and Guillermo del Toro, and have an incredible voice cast of Diego Luna, Zoe Saldaña, Channing Tatum, Kate del Castillo, Ice Cube, Ron Perlman, Gabriel Iglesias and many more!

Before Coco was released in 2017, This film had a celebration of Mexican culture but also The Hispanic holiday of Dia de los muertos (Day of the Dead), A Day to Remember those that passed away

The animation looks completely incredible as well as the story. All the people that work very hard in both the animation community and the animation studios did all they could to make this wonderful masterpiece that also included Jorge R. Gutierrez's iconic art style into the CGI world, but the wooden figures throughout most of the film to the humans as well

The music is also beautiful, blending its own form and even having a lot of his heritage and Roots to their culture.

Overall, I like this film. No scratch that. I love the film so much. Give it a 10 out of 10!

I highly recommend this film to get into The Day of the Dead Spirit and for those who love animation

You can see from the posters on the wall that it was recorded at the old Klasky-Csupo studios in Hollywood.

Hi, hellooo! You seem very knowledgeable about MCR lore and I happen to be very curious about something very specific. Sooo, I remember reading somewhere that Ray colored his hair and, from what I’ve gathered, it was during early Bullets era and again during WTTBP. Is that true? I know it might be common knowledge, but I‘m still kind of a newbie.😅

hii!! yeah, i don't think i've heard ray himself bring it up, but he definitely dyed it a few times back in the day! it's a little hard to tell sometimes because curly hair like his can look much lighter depending on lighting, frizz, dryness etc, but he for sure dyed black/darker at the start of parade era:

(this image by paul harries in professional lighting but it's clearly much darker than what could be accounted for by lack of frizz. ray's natural hair is also less of a uniform colour than that bc of sun-bleached curls)

and he dyed it several times during dd! first for the mvs - jet star has dyed black hair with a grey/white streak near his left temple - and at least a couple of times more while they toured it.

see how dark it is in all of these, which are from a few different times across dd promo/touring (and it's quite sunny in a couple of them)

compared to times like this (also dd touring) where it was more faded (i assume it was semi-permanent dye?)

and his revenge/current era hair, which is clearly much lighter, yk. bullets i couldn't say for sure - i know some people reckon it was dyed darker around like...when it was growing out but before it was long enough for gravity to weigh it down, but i can't say for sure bc i haven't seen enough hq pics in various lighting hahaha.

anyway sorry this should totally have more visual comparisons to his natural colour skdkf but it's so late rn, maybe another time :) <3
