i'll join the debate saying for me EDI and the Normandy are the same thing since when Joker released the ai shackles EDI had. Until then EDI was only the equivalent of a crew member operating on the ship, after that the ship became an extension of EDI, in the same way you can implant a branch of a tree on a different tree and they grow as one afterwards.

True, though you could exaggerate that the Normandy is much more than just an extension now, but a part of her. That equates the ship as more than just a vessel but a sentient in her own right. So yeah, I totally agree with you on that!
