9. Best childhood moment?

If I'm being honest, it is really hard to think about anything positive from my childhood. The times I was most happy were when I was with my friends. I struggle to think of any happy memories with my family. But the memory that popped into my head was when I got my first Naruto plushie from a close friend.

10. When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried? (or just felt really good afterwards)

A couple days ago while talking to my husband. I don't remember what the joke was, but I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. I tend to have a lot of good laughs while interacting with my husband.

25. If your soul was a color, what would it be?

I'd like to think it would be red, since I tend to be very passionate about all sorts of different things.

Awww cute! Hell yeah I love this stuff 💜

1.Class literature and poetry. I'm so passion about nerd shit. Like the Odyssey, the Divine Comedy, Shakespeare, Arthurian legends, the romantic poets, gothic novels. I can't get enough of that flowery, swoon worthy trash. I try not to go on about it too much cause I can get a little insufferable.

2. Peppermint tea with honey. I love a lot of teas but there's something about peppermint and honey that sooths the soul.

3.Catholic/religious imagery. I was raised catholic and am super duper not anymore but i love the imagery and art, especially when it's used to critique the church or in a fun spooky goth way.

4.That lilacs bloom in late May, around my birthday (this one just went by lol). It's silly but purple's my fav colour and where im from they always pop up within a few days of my bday. It's like a little gift from nature.

5. Not to be too simple but reading and/or writing! Nothing makes my happier than a good story. Whether it's a little fic or a big ol' book. My fav genres (reading/writing) are romance, horror and fantasy. I'd love to publish some weird pulpy romances someday.

not being able to find older bf!simon around the house and while you’re looking for him, you catch something out the window-

nearly all the women in your neighbourhood gathered at the end of your driveway

you come outside to investigate only to find them with their attention glued to the front of your car, it’s not till you walk around the front you find the lower half of simon sticking out from under it

on his back, knees bent, massive boots planted into the concrete, bare arm occasionally stretching out to find another tool

“you alright, si?”

you hear him grunt before he’s calling out to you

“yeah, i’m right sweet’art- sortin’ out that bit thas’ been givin’ y’grief”

breaking your gaze from his massive thighs flexing under his jeans, you scan back over the crowd that’d formed

all of them married, all of them a good ten years older than even he was- you couldn’t really blame them really, you had eyes

you could hear him shuffling out from under the car before he suddenly straightened to full height, wiping greasy hands on the front of his old-white-singlet

he pulled up the bottom of it to swipe his forehead and you think you heard someone gasp

wrapping a firm arm around you, he gives your backside a pat before he kisses the top of your head

“got t’keep y’safe, y’know?”

“thank you, baby- now be polite and say hello to your audience”

oblivious as ever to anything other than you, simon threw a look over his shoulder before he followed you back into the house

“oh, ‘ello ladies”

(someone throws a street barbecue and you force simon to talk to the other men around the burner and multiple husbands request him to start “doing that shit” in the garage with the door shut, please)

🌿Who, if anyone, was the first deity(s) you worked with?

I would say that Mother Hekate was the first deity I actually worked with. I was raised a non-denominational Christian, but I never really worked with that god.

🌿Who, if anyone, is the deity(s) you’re working with now?

Hekate, Hades, Aphrodite, Ares, Hermes, and Poseidon are the deities I am currently working with/worshipping, but I have worked with a variety of different deities from different pantheons.

🌿What’s your favorite aspect of your practice? (Ex: doing tarot, celebrating holidays, casting spells, etc)

I really love writing devotionals! I feel closest to my deities when I am writing for them.

🌿What’s something you want to get better at?

Channeling/Godphone. I really want to get better at receiving messages from deities and spirits.

Randomly thinkin about Chilchuck today, and how he tries sooooo hard to self sabotage

like for example, other half foots on the island think that he's a greedy asshole who only cares about money, and he does nothing to try to disprove that

but then there's this omake at the end of book 9 that shows that people treat half foots fucking TERRIBLY and chilchuck started a union to protect them

and then in the bicorn chapter, he doesn't want Marcille to keep digging into his personal business so he tells her he CHEATED ON HIS WIFE

but he just COMPLETELY fuckin lied about that and made himself sound so much worse than he is bc he's afraid of being vulnerable with people and would rather everyone believes he's a shitty person so he can keep them at a distance

and the thing that's memed so often is that he refuses to help with fighting most of the time because it's not part of his contract

but if you take this lore into account (not gonna add those particular images to this post simply bc I've used them in so many posts already LMAO) along with this tidbit from the world guide:

then it's like. yeah he has to keep his weight low so if he gets killed or severely injured and has to be healed, that could be really dangerous for him. and even if he was healed at that point he'd end up being a burden to the party after that point, he would be too dangerously thin/sickly to be able to help.

Like, Chilchuck has so many things about him that APPEAR to be character flaws, but every single one of them has a very reasonable explanation. He just leans into the mischaracterization bc he's emotionally withholding and can handle people thinking he's an asshole more than he can handle opening up to anyone. he's such a well thought out and interesting character
