Upon the silken fabric of her countenance, a smile erupts with the succulent grace of a cherry blossom embracing the first kiss of spring's caress. It is a smile that seems to have been manufactured from the very essence of joy, delicate yet unyielding in its splendor. Her laughter, a chorus of mirth, is the unwarranted gift presented upon her, as unplanned and enchanting as a summer rain serenading the parched earth. Those twin pools of molten caramel shimmer with the richness and warmth of a thousand autumnal sunsets as they dance across his words with the diligence of a devoted scholar poring over ancient, forbidden texts.
Each syllable he pens is a precious stone in the assemblage of their shared moments, and the activity he proposes—a whimsical dalliance with doughnuts—ignites the embers of her smile, transforming it into a blazing beacon of pure, unadulterated delight. Orihime's heart harbors an adoration for these ringed confections, a love as round and endless as the treats themselves.
"I think it's a lovely idea to have you enrobed in chocolate—a tempting dessert indeed." She muses, her voice conveying a cascade of notes, light and teasing. A coy giggle, like the tinkling of crystal in a gentle breeze, escapes her lips. "Perhaps one day we might venture beyond the borders of our beloved Japan?" Ventures, her suggestion hanging in the air, her hues ablaze with the fire of wanderlust, mirroring his own thirst for discovery as if it were a reflection of her very soul.
"One less point for not allowing me the honor of cooking for you." Jests, her words wrapped in a playful chide, a dance of light and shadow playing across the canvas of her features. For Inoue, cooking is not merely an act but a ritual, a sacred ballet of flavors and aromas. Yet, this minor discord does little to mar the symphony of their connection. "You are very kind, but there is no need for adoration. I am no goddess." Declares with a humility that only serves to heighten her innate grace. Delicately, with the care of an artist adding the final touch to a masterpiece, she affixes a stamp to his paper, a seal imbued with the essence of her affection.

Feanorian Week Day Six: Ambarussa
1396 YT
"Hurry Ambarussa," Telvo.
What are they up to?
"I'm coming," Pityo.
Turca and I stop walking toward Father's study. We were about to ask Father if he wanted to go for a ride. He's been cooped up in his study for days now. It's time to air him out.
Even if he resists.
Ambarussa's footsteps get louder. The pair emerge from the servant's stairs. Goodies and sweets piled in their arms. Oh wow.
"Dana,"
"Tyelko,"
"Ambarussa," Turca and I say together.
"Care to tell us why you have sweets?" I ask surveying their plunder. Tarts, sweet meat, doughnuts, banana bread, candied fruit and a few more I can't quite see right.
"Ambarussa and I were famished from our studies and decided to raid the kitchens," Pityo grins. He shows off his bounty.
"We snuck by old Kesti taking a nap," Telvo smiles keeping his trove close to his chest. So similar yet so different.
Now hang on.
"Kesti isn't much older than me," I cross my arms. Kesti might be four years older. If that. Don’t go around calling her old.
"She's much older than Ambarussa and me," Pityo states.
Well, he's not wrong. I have 167 years on them.
"Her snores could wake you," Telvo paints quite the picture. If Kesti is that loud I don't doubt I'd wake.
"Quite true Ambarussa, then we found the sweets in the pantry," Pityo agrees with Ambarussa.
"Now we're here," Telvo's smile turns into a grin. It matches his twins.
They certainly have been busy.
"Are you going to share?" Turca asks. He leans closer to their horde of sweets. From here I can see a honey cake. Oh, sweet Eru. Please share.
"Perhaps,"
"What will you give us?"
"We won't tell Alo you've been mucking up his kitchens,"
Ambarussa share a look of terror. They look back at me as if assessing whether or not I'll snitch. The twins share another look, bringing their heads closer together.
I swear their use of osanwe is worse than mine and father's. Father and I have conversations through eye flicks, twitches of lips and raised eyebrows. Ambarussa on the other hand, not so much. They don't use visual cues. They simply use osanwe.
They break apart.
Pityo nods to Turca and me. "We have decided you can have some,"
I smile.
"Thank you Ambarussa."
Ambarussa pick sweets for me and Turca. Honey cake for me. Chocolate truffles and salted caramel apples for Turca. Oh and chocolate-covered strawberries for both of us.
We thank Ambarussa and continue on our way to father.

12 and 31 for Rouge
12. Favourite Binge Food?
Rouge: "Well, you know what they say, why staying with one thing when you can try everything?... I take that one very seriously as you may notice~ This body can't keep itself nice and big for everyone with just one kind of food~"
The bat said while proudly slapping her enormous gut, making it jiggle and bounce around just like a huge platter of Jell-O.
31. Sweet or savoury?
Rouge: "When it comes to large binges, I aim for EVERYTHING! Now... When it comes to something like a... Let's call it 'Snack', I like having this 'Snack' sweet and pleasing to my taste buds... Something like... Two dozens of double frosting doughnuts, maybe a chocolate cake for 16 or 20 people just for me- Oh! Those crepes, stuffed with nothing but chocolate fudge, sweet cream, caramel covered strawberries, whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles all over and- Ahh!... Slllrrp... A-Ahahah, sorry about that... Where were we?..."
Rouge apologized after getting rid of the small stream of saliva that was coming out from her mouth after thinking on such delightful dishes she was now wishing she could eat in that moment.

SAY CHEEEEEESEEEE🧀📸 (me crying in the photo😭)
For 27 years cheese was the glue that held my life together 😅🧀❤️. I was also the biggest chocoholic, turning into an absolute gremlin at Easter time stocking up on months worth of the £1 dairy milk eggs🍫😍. Basically a skinny Bruce Bogtrotter (Disclosure I do eat healthy stuff too 🥦)
But then...😭
In summer 2022 after pigging out on a very delicious cheesy moussaka in a Turkish restaurant I suddenly felt quite ill and more than I would expect from a bongo bingo hangover; my whole face hurt, I had acid reflux (well I assumed it was as never had it before?!) and I also felt really spaced out. That was not a fun drive home. A few months later my doctor could see I had glue ear (no I'm not a toddler & no I didn't put pritstick in my ear!) and suspected I have a intolerance to dairy with milk causing blockages in my sinuses; hence causing the horredous full face migraine.
In a slight state of shock I ended up in the supermarket next to the doctors, crying at all the cheese and chocolate that I love so much and may never be able to eat again. Dramatic i know. I then cried again looking at the oh so boring, miserable and expensive 'free from' isle. A few uncomfortable looking customers definitely thought I was having some kind of breakdown....or break up as I was also on the phone my boyfriend whaling something like 'why meeee'; in reality I was having a sudden breakup with Gregg(s sausage rolls) and Tony(s salted caramel chocolate) 😭
In a state of denial over my new found diet I tried a few times to eat my beloved halloumi and smoked applewood cheddar...but nope; the pain returned, I felt like I was listening to my university tutors underwater (glue ear) and the acid reflux worsened. Ffs, worth a try. I also spent most of our holiday to Barcelona surviving off the hotel buffet Melon as my reflux and pain was so bad. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have had the dick waffle covered in melted white chocolate on our first day. This was also the start of the regular occurance of getting stopped by security for suspected drug smuggling - Chill guys its just gaviscon, fexofenadine and imodium (all life savers with these ailments!)
But alas, as the grief weaned (it did actually feel a little like grief with the loss of my foodie identity, passion for cooking and rating new restaurants) I have discovered some AMAZING dairy free alternatives (Hooray for Vegans for massively helping with this) and thought I'd create a space to keep track of my favourites (as I always forget) and to also share with others going through a similar thing or choose to be on a plant based diet.
Do-nut fear there is hope the foodie will return !!! (Dairy free Doughnuts gratefully available from my saviour Greggs😍🙏)
*Caveat - some things I may post on my blogs may not be vegan or vegetarian as I eat meat still and much of the food packaging says it 'may contain milk' so probably not great if you have a allergy rather than intolerance!
Next blog post: My top 10 dairy free treats

Wedding Cakes
Wedding cakes are the traditional cakes served at wedding receptions following dinner. They are usually made of multiple tiers, covered with fondant or buttercream icing, and decorated with flowers, ribbons, or other embellishments. Some couples also choose to have a groom's cake, a smaller cake that reflects the groom's personality or hobbies. Wedding cakes have a long and fascinating history that dates back to ancient times. Did you know that in some parts of England, the wedding cake is served at a wedding breakfast, which is not a morning meal but a feast held after the ceremony? Or that in medieval times, guests would bring small cakes or pastries and stack them in a pile, and the bride and groom would try to kiss over them without knocking them down? Or that in some cultures, the wedding cake is a symbol of fertility and prosperity, and guests would take home a slice for good luck? Nowadays, wedding cakes are more of a centerpiece than a dessert, and they reflect the couple's style, theme, and preferences. There are so many options to choose from, such as naked cakes, semi-naked cakes, macaron cakes, doughnut cakes, croquembouche cakes, and more. You can also customize your cake with different flavors, fillings, colors, and toppings. Some of the most popular wedding cake flavors are vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, lemon, carrot, and coconut. If you're planning your wedding and looking for some inspiration for your cake, you've come to the right place. I've compiled a list of some of the most beautiful and delicious wedding cakes I've seen online. Vash follows the undertaker's gaze as he surveys his options. The stand he pauses on is one where the cook drizzles bottles of dyed batter directly into a deep fryer, pokes it around a little with his spatula while it sizzles, places it on a plate, and dusts it with powdered sugar. The people currently waiting on their food ordered it with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.
The blond can't help but let out a quiet chuckle; of course Wolfwood is attracted to the sweet desserts. He's not one to judge—he is the world's number one consumer of doughnuts after all.
"Oh! Those are tasty! They're called funnel cakes. It's basically fried batter covered in powdered sugar. You can order them with different toppings like ice cream, chocolate, caramel, and fruit—if they have it. They're usually popular at festivals or events, but they seem to be doing well feeding drunkards with the munchies here. I think they dyed the batter?"
Other deep fried treats at the stand include sugar-cinnamon doughnut bites, deep-fried sandwich cookies, and even something called 'deep fried ice cream.' The science behind that one still baffles Vash.
"Usually you share them, but if you wanna eat a whole funnel cake I'm not judging you," he chimes this and adds a knowing wink at the end.
typhoonvash:
“Yeah, exactly, so we gotta keep each other in check!”
Vash says this, as though he’s actually going to keep his own health in check going forward. Somehow, the two of them manage to meander to a few food stands that are open late for snackish inebriated people. They’re all greasy options—worm sliders, various fried pastries with ice cream, and spicy worm empanadas.
“We can get something to go if you want. My treat~”
“You’re gonna regret that, Blondie~!” Nicholas teased, looking over the food as well. Shit, they all looked good- He paused at one of the more colorful pastries, tilting his head and pointing at it.
“What’s that?”

The Color of You
What I imagine to have happened on the rooftop after episode 8 ended...
Yoo Han dragged Yeon Woo through the halls, the two of them running at top speed to avoid any teachers that could possibly catch them. They reached a stairwell that Yeon Woo had not been in before and quickly ascended, still hand in hand. Once they reached the top, Yoo Han pulled a key out of his pocket and unlocked it before pushing it open and pulling Yeon Woo along with him.
The yellow brightness of the sunlit rooftop almost blinded Yeon Woo when they first emerged. He had to hold up his free hand to shade his eyes so that they could adjust. Yoo Han was squinting up at the sky and led Yeon Woo toward a blanket that he had obviously set up earlier on.
“I thought our first date should be memorable.” Yoo Han explained as he nodded toward the blanket. “But simple. Plus, I wanted you to experience more blue.”
Yoo Han pointed up to the sky and Yeon Woo followed the gesture. The hues of blue that hung in the sky differed from the sea of ocean blue that they had witnessed at the beach. The colours were more consistent as they hung above their heads and was peppered with fluffy, creamy white clouds. As always, Yeon Woo felt overwhelmed at the spectrum of colours that his eyes drank in. They sent his head spinning.
He was brought down to Earth by Yoo Han squeezing his hand lightly. Yoo Han had a satisfied grin on his cherry red lips that grounded Yeon Woo in reality. Of all the colours in the universe, the ones that made up Yoo Han were Yeon Woo’s favourites.
“So which blue do you like better?” Yoo Han inquired as he guided Yeon Woo to a seated position. “The Ocean or the Sky?”
Yeon Woo contemplated for a moment and breathed out slowly before answering, “I think… I like Ocean blue the best and the memories that come with that colour.”
“That’s the best part of all of this.” Yoo Han shared, his eyes dancing with anticipation. “We get to keep discovering them together.”
Yeon Woo rolled his eyes fondly at Yoo Han’s words. “God, you really are cheesy, aren’t you?”
“Speaking of… want a donut?” Yoo Han disregarded Yeon Woo’s comment and reached inside of his backpack to pull out a bag of twisted cinnamon pastries.
“Donuts…. how romantic…” Yeon Woo teased affectionately.
“God, it’s not like Im going to bring chocolate covered strawberries to school!” Yeon Woo got a stern look on his face before stating, “I don’t think I should give you one now.”
Yeon Woo laughed before reaching for the bag of donuts. Yoo Han held them up above his head and Yeon Woo crawled closer and reached up for them like a cat batting at a ball of yarn. They continued to play keep away until Yoo Han couldn’t conceal the smile on his lips any longer.
He held them up again and this time, Yeon Woo launched himself toward Yoo Han. This made them both topple over so that Yeon Woo was on top of Yoo Han, one hand on both sides of Yoo Han to ensure to brace himself.
Tension filled the air. They had not kissed since the time on the pier and both of them had been counting down the minutes until they could again. While Yoo Han had been the bolder one the first time, it was Yeon Woo’s turn to initiate the contact. Without another thought, he leaned down and pressed his lips to Yoo Han’s.
While the feeling wasn’t quite as explosive as when Yeon Woo had first experienced a colour rush, it was exactly what it needed to be. When they were kissing, Yeon Woo felt like he could pour all he felt for Yoo Han into it. He didn’t need to be worried about every little word he uttered, he could just show Yoo Han how he felt for him, how deeply and thoroughly Yoo Han had shaken him.
Yeon Woo pulled away as soon as he broke the contact, Yoo Han protested with a whine. Yeon Woo moved to the side so he was no longer straddling Yoo Han as Yoo Han propped himself up on his elbows, a disappointed look on his face.
“Why did we stop?” Yoo Han complained.
Yeon Woo snatched the bag of donuts from Yeon Woo’s grasp and pulled one out of the bag, sugar falling from it as he raised it to his mouth. He took a bite before answering, “Because there’s better places to kiss you than on the school rooftop.”
“That sounds like a promise.” Yoo Han murmured mischievously.
Yeon Woo reached over and pushed one of Yoo Han’s elbows so that he felt backward. Yoo Han recovered quickly and sat up again. That’s when Yeon Woo noticed the colour of Yoo Han’s cheeks and the donut almost fell from his grasp.
“What?” Yoo Han wondered and bought a hand up to his face self-consciously. “Is there something on my face?”
Yeon Woo slowly shook his head before bringing up his hand to gently place it on top of Yoo Han’s. “Your cheeks… the colour… it’s paler than your lips but…”
“Rose? Light pink? Blush? Peach?” Yoo Han began to list off different shades of pink as he always did when Yeon Woo asked about a new colour. “Flamingo? Taffy? Rosewood?”
Yeon Woo interrupted Yoo Han by moving his face closer to Yoo Han’s to study the shade. He guided his and Yoo Han’s hand away from Yoo Han’s face and gently let his lips press to Yoo Han’s cheek, leaving a hint of cinnamon sugar from his lips on Yoo Han’s face.
“Blush, I think.” Yeon Woo shared as he pulled away from Yoo Han.
Yoo Han’s gaze dropped to his lap and Yeon Woo watched in fascination as Yoo Han’s cheeks turned an even darker hue of pink. Yeon Woo would never tire of looking at Yoo Han and all the colours that came with him.
The blush of his cheeks. The cherry red of his lips. The caramel brown of his lips. The jet black of his hair. The shiny silver of his earrings. The rainbow of hoodies he wore. Yoo Han was the whole spectrum and Yeon Woo would never stop studying him.
“Thank you.” Yeon Woo whispered as Yoo Han looked back up at him.
“For what?” Yoo Han wondered, reaching his hand toward Yeon Woo’s and entangling their fingers once again.
“For not giving up on me.” Yeon Woo explained, his throat tightening with emotion.
“You can’t get rid of me that easily.” Yoo Han grinned before sighing happily and biting into his own doughnut.
Yeon Woo would never tire of discovering new colours, especially not with Yoo Han as his teacher. As he stared up at the blue sky, Yeon Woo realized how lucky he was to have Yoo Han at his side.
Yoo Han brought more than just colour to Yeon Woo’s life, he brought Yeon Woo a sense of freedom.

10 Dessert Table to Make Your Wedding Reception Unforgettable
Add tasty flair to an elegant or rustic wedding reception with a dessert table that tantalizes guests while reflecting your unique personality.
Modern Farmhouse Chic
Tear a page from the Magnolia Home decorating handbook with a rustic dessert table featuring homemade tartlets, cupcakes and parfaits among other charming treats.
Berry Tempting
Show your colorful personality with berries galore, from beautiful berry tarts to strawberries dipped in chocolate or candy-coating colored to match your wedding hues.
Doughnuts Delight
Grab-and-go doughnuts and doughnut holes can be the perfect sweet treat for a morning wedding or a late-night reception. Stack them up, nest them in a tray or hang them on the wall for a gravity-defying display
A Little Bit Country
Use wooden boxes to display pies and other treats made from your family’s heirloom recipes to add just the right flair for your country wedding style.
For the Love of Chocolate
What could be more romantic than a dessert table of chocolates? Include homemade chocolate-mint bark or any of these chocolate candy treats.
Dreaming in Pastels
No matter what season, romance will be in full bloom with a pastel-colored candy bar. Add pretzels covered in white chocolate for a salty-sweet combination, or pastel almond bark.
Captivating Cakes
Who says you should have only one wedding cake? We say, the more the merrier. That way, you won’t have to settle on one flavor or style, either. Think ganache-draped chocolate cake, Victoria sponge layered with berries, butter cake with lemon curd filling…whatever you like!
Spring Is in the Air
Team up with your florist to surround a variety of cupcakes, tarts and this cherry angel trifle with flowers to create a garden-wedding dessert theme.
Everything on a Stick
No utensils (or plates!) needed when dessert comes on a stick. Fill a table with chocolate-dunked goodies like Rice Krispies bars and caramel apples. Or have a chocolate fountain with dippers like fruit skewers, bite-size brownies and soft pretzels (for that delectable salty-sweet combo). And if chocolate brown doesn’t fit your wedding palette, choose a different hue.
Drink Your Dessert
Sure, there’s a bar, but we’re talking about a treat on the sweeter side. For a winter wedding, how about a hot chocolate bar? In the summertime, guests could make their own milk shakes. (Your caterer provides a big batch of vanilla shakes, friends and family mix in the flavorings.) S’mores, anyone?
