Adonis is shorter than Eri at 5'4? Huh. I pictured them as average-ish height, kinda willowy without being overly tall. Actor/off duty model sort of deal.

And while 5'8 is the actual average sort of height it's Erebus that I picture as being the smol (dangerous, competent*) bean.

My impressions can be wrong!

That headcanon matches up! I feel like with years of squatting to pick up a kid or lift amps and dancing around stage in heavy platforms, every day is leg day.

I actually did start typing out headcanons for the characters trying to think how to find reference pictures to draw them. The actual work of drawing might not happen. I am lazy. It's just cool to think about them having very individual body types.

This is basically what I had.

Genesis would have a normal guy upper body or a tiny bit of a dad bod (despite decent upper body strength) but a more solid lower body? Nothing extreme but his legs would just be sturdy and his thighs/butt slightly thick. He wears wider leg jeans to be comfy. I can't find a good athlete reference picture but think a casual lifter or runner.

I feel like Erebus would look waify, 90s model thin. Boyish. Hips and shoulders a similar width, maybe shoulders a bit wider in a delicate bony way. Compact and stronger than he looks, wiry strength like a gymnast. Don't piss him off.

Dorian would be the same but tall and deceptively strong under the elegant clothes. Maybe a bit straighter in the figure than Adonis, still square shoulders with a slim but strong waist and a slightly bigger chest. (As he wielded the weapons he did.) Like a fencer.

Aeron very slightly slim thick, slender but with a softness, androgynous with subtle curves. Life model for your art class.

This really depends on how much food he's able to get but I feel between physical work and the cold Kayn would be a bit brawny. Not the defined muscles of a gym but a more functional strength, think sports like woodchopping or shotput.

we need more short nonbinary people so i made adonis just an inch taller than me! i feel like a taller adonis also works, but eh, i don't know. it doesn't really matter. it would be funny if they like. changed their height depending on the situation, though.

this is how i picture him! slight dad bod genesis but strong nonetheless. he does do a lot of stunts, so there is definite lower body strength.

very true. you can see his ribs through his skin sometimes. he's pale, just because he doesn't get sunlight, he doesn't exercise, and he's a little guy.

they're the best dressed in a small town. if not for the sharp figure you could see the dark veins threading through their skin in more sheer outfits.

he probably has done fencing. though his main weapon is his umbrella, he has brandished a sword before. he calls her genevieve, and she sits for emergency use in one of the wings. he is quite straight in his figure.

The High School Musical (lol) equivalent of the Canyon is these 'Sharpay is actually the victim' people who hate Gabriella (they usually hate everyone else and love Sharpay but I've seen some saying Troy and Sharpsy should be together) these people often act like they're against racism but hate on the Latina heroine cos she's 'boring' in favour if the spoilt rich white girl, act like Sharpay is only 'demonised for being feminine' ignoring the fact shes a horrible person.

Rewatching Hannibal 1x07 Sorbet, and noticing how much of it is about what happens when you don’t become the mask you wear for the rest of the world. What happens to the part of you that’s stubbornly distinct from your façade, when it’s been trapped behind it for so long that even you aren’t sure what it might look like when viewed (...seen). The fear that it’s malformed and pitiable, followed by the slim, terrifying hope that the person who glimpses it might care more about it than about your meticulously-ornamented shell. (Which, among other things, hoo boy if that ain’t a Big Queer Mood... fitting, really, that this is the episode with a gratifying little revenge fantasy about medical homophobia, serophobia, and hostile assumptions about what “ugly little secret” you must be hiding.)

And in that context, one of the Thomas Harris quotes remixed into this episode makes a lot more sense to me than it did on previous viewings: “I see [the Ripper] as one of those pitiful things sometimes born in hospitals [...] They let it die. But he doesn’t die. He looks normal. Nobody can tell what he is.” It’s a demonstration of the thing Hannibal finds most terrifying and alluring about Will: he keeps seeing through all the personae and person suits. At this point it’s through a glass darkly, but still with shocking clarity, considering he doesn’t even know what--who--he’s seeing. Hannibal spends the episode coming up with new misdirections on the spot to test him: the “Chesapeake Ripper or organ harvesters?” red herring, the little game of “two lies and a truth” with the Ripper photos in Quantico. And every time, Will demolishes the misdirections and acknowledges the tiny scraps of truth, almost effortlessly, without even realizing what he’s doing. The episode ends with Will skipping out on the Extremely Person Suit dinner party to go examine its ugly underbelly: the Ripper cases that put the food on the table. Of course Hannibal is secretly delighted at the snub.

It’s the prospect of being seen that forces Hannibal to reckon with what the thing under his many masks might look like. The thing that so stubbornly refuses to die, even when starved of connection or recognition. And the unpleasant truth is that that thing looks a lot more like Franklyn than he’d ever want to admit.

Franklyn is so cringe-inducing to watch as a character--and no doubt even more unpleasant to interact with--that, as with Freddie Lounds, the audience kinda has to wonder why Hannibal hasn’t killed him already. I suspect the answer is that he has a weird soft spot for Franklyn as a form of painful self-recognition. Trying to help Mr. Secondhand Embarrassment Personified is like watching a well-hidden, well-guarded part of himself walk around naked, no manners or charm or cultivation, none of the protections that make his person suit so well-tailored. The part that craves connection but has no idea how to go about it, the part that’s fascinated with (curious about) other people but avoids looking at the stunted void it fears is where its sense of self should be. Or, to get all purple about it: Franklyn is a man who flinches at the threshold of his innermost self, but shorn of all the exquisite mental architecture Hannibal's built himself to live in, reduced to begging anyone nearby for shelter.

Even in the next episode, Hannibal goes out of his way to encourage Tobias not to murder Franklyn, which is about as much mercy as he ever shows to people he has personal affection for but wouldn’t hesitate to kill for pragmatic reasons. Of course, because he’s Hannibal, he ends up murdering the poor bastard himself with no hesitation or remorse--but it’s not because of some line of unbearableness that Franklyn finally crossed. It’s because his desire to spite Tobias was stronger than any hope of sparing Franklyn, who by that point had probably seen too much anyway. In his next session with Bedelia he tells her one of his little sideways truths--yes, it’s funny on its face to see him go “I feel responsible for what happened to him” about the man whose neck he snapped with his own hands, but I do think he feels regret if not remorse, for not managing to engineer a situation that kept his cringey shadow self out of the line of fire.

(Side note: I suspect the reason Freddie Lounds didn’t get eaten in the very second episode is that she was the only other person to see through Will’s protective suit of “socially inept smol bean who is very distressed by the insights he gets from his Unspecified Problems Disorder.” Sure, she’s an absolute bitch about it, but she’s an absolute bitch who can pull off outfits even more outrageous than Hannibal’s--she appeals to his sense of fun. As soon as he realized she’d clocked Will as absolutely fucking seething with all kinds of dark potential 24/7, he decided her rudeness and vulgarity were far outweighed by the entertainment value of having her around to cause problems on purpose.)

(Side note #2: All of this neglects the main casefic plot, which does connect to the same themes, but somewhat less directly. The other person going around without a mask in 1x07 is Devon Silvestri, who’s also kind of an inept schlub when viewed for what he really is. He didn’t arrange that crime scene to look like a Ripper murder, he just panicked and GTFO’d--all the conflation comes from Jack Crawford’s desire to find the Ripper and from Hannibal seizing on it as an opportunity for misdirection. It does lead to some fun playing with “are the mutilations for Art (artifice, performance) or for more prosaic uses of the organs?” when the answer, of course, is that the difference between the Ripper murders and the botched organ theft is “why not both?” Silvestri’s one real deception is to pass himself off as an emergency first responder (his day job) while he’s working his less altruistic sideline, and we also get some fun triangulation when Hannibal has to take on that role for real. Will sees him, gets his first good look at Hannibal’s mastery of this skillset that he once cultivated as part of his person suit, but also sees him looking absolutely in his element as he uses his power over life and death to preserve life. He sees it even more clearly against the backdrop of Silvestri’s dubious competence and furtive discomfort with what he’s doing. In his conscious mind he accepts the best possible interpretation of that glimpse, even as he feels a bunch of less-conscious connections snap into place at the sight--ones he isn’t ready to face yet, but boy is he having Big Feelings about it. Some of which may or may not be diverting blood from his brain, and/or setting him up for uncomfortable wet dreams about Hannibal’s hands in his viscera, but thaaat’s probably a topic for another post.)

Anyway. Sorbet as an episode is about the exact opposite of “fake it ‘til you make it”--it’s about the self that doesn’t become what it performs, the wonder of having someone glimpse it no matter how well-hidden it is, and, crucially, the terror of finally examining what someone else may have glimpsed and finding it stunted, ugly, even pitiable in its isolation. Neither the “thing that doesn’t die” quote nor any of the stuff with Franklyn makes sense, IMO, without the realization that Franklyn is an uncomfortable mirror of what’s under Hannibal’s human veil--and that Hannibal is equal parts intrigued and freaked the fuck out that Will keeps catching glimpses of him through the veil.

ok so, you’ve watched “am I a bad person?” and now you’re here,

decit, virgil, logan, roman, and patton all seem confused and jumbled but how will they get out of their latest predicament?

decits logo, double snake heads, we know from color theory that yellow is commonly assossiated with cowardice and deception, cowardice being a likely candidate for another “dark side” as roman dubbed them and most likely romans flip side as roman symbolises within the sanders sides world, bravery, honesty and creativity.

we also know, two of anything is commonly seen as a pair in archetypal theory, think yin and yang or any two differentiating powers so it is possible that decit could have an internal struggle that we will see played out because of his affiliation to thomas and we know based on current storyline patterns that it is most likely going to happen where we will see decits character arc as thomas likes to keep characters from being flat characters within this world he has created, snakes in archetypal theory also mean deception, trickery, which is what decits main function is, however since we know all of the sides are not just their main funtion, (think logan- logic, language, punctuality, right arm) this is unlikely all decit is, it will be curious to see what his underlying traits of thomas’s personality are

virgil’s tie is expertly made and great addition to the episode it shocked me however, we know virgil sanders is thomas’s anxiety, fears, and we are not yet sure what body part if any he controls, current evidence points toward a leg, however, virgil’s look consists of purple and black, both have most commonly been connected to color theory as symbolizing mystery, and while purple also symbolizes ambition and power, black symbolizes depression, and evil. if we learned anything from virgil’s redemption arc in accepting anxiety part 1 and part 2 it’s that virgil puts up his front in order to keep the other sides guard up because he something along the lines of “the best way to keep someone’s guard up is to the thing they fear” however we also learned that virgil’s presence wasn’t necessarily a bad one and quite frankly he has grown from the villain to the fanders friendly neighborhood smol emo bean, however in this episode he seems to take on the role roman took in accepting anxiety part 1, ever resolute in his perception of him, and while yes he is anxiety so this is expected of him, I do not believe we have seen virgil this visibly shaken and or upset for this long ever, from the end card in the video “EMBARASSING PHASES: The nightmare instead of christmas!” we can almost feel through the screen the tension between virgil and decit and we can reasonably argue it is clear these two have a history as he says “me being able to illicit fear? doesn’t take away from the fact that i’ve grown” the last two words make it evident that they have a history (it is also quite likely that he is in fact in slytherin if we go from these facts even though he did not place himself within a hogwarts house) virgil’s symbol is a greyish storm cloud with a purple lightning bolt coming down we can effectively prove that rain has a calming affect on people’s mental states and we also know the light purple used for the lightning bolt is commonly used to calm people down when they have anxiety or general stres and or panic

logan, arguably the most textbook knowledgeable of the sides, we have not seen much from his especially as of recent, but we know from the episode “learning new things about ourselves” he does not like it when he is not heard (see the index incident) now logan’s tie is blue, black and gray, his shirt is also black however logan’s style seems different to virgil’s, logan utilizes the black as a sophistication tactic as to appear more knowledgeable because people think you are more intelligent the better you dress. (as can be proven through pshycology, and possible tangents into biology) from color theory we know blue is a calming, relaxing color, logan most likely knows this and utilized blue in his wardrobe because of this fact and uses the gray to bring it all tightened reguardless that gray is associated with numbness, or is it? logan has previously stated on multiple occasions that he does not feel emotion yet we have seen examples of logan angry and feeling human things (think back to the index incident) so it is most likely that logan’s character arc will be him learning to accept emotion into his monotonous everyday routine and possibly even embrace it, logan’s symbols being a black outlines brain with glasses seems to wrap him up well and the concoction of black and white symbolize opposing power like yin and yang or balance, per say, and the glasses which have been shows to make people appear both smarter and more attractive wrap him up well

roman, the prince of thomas’s dreams and imagination, he is dramatic, theatrical and very very loud, he consistently wears a red sash with gold somewhere on him, we know within color theory red is connected to blood, romance, passion, and gold symbolizes, fortune and luck as well as princeys signature white suit/robe which could be translated quite literally as innocence, beauty, and hope, as we found out in the newest episode, “am I a bad person?” while roman does want thomas to achieve his dreams to the fullest extent he took what he learned from the episode “exploring nostalgia” and utilized that what’s best for thomas and best for the world can be two different concepts worlds apart, it is likely that romans character arc will be the last of the light sides we see as he is currently in a rather static position while logan is taking more of the forefront of him and roman, romans symbol is a crest of his hogwarts house which i feel in turn can speak for itself as we all know what it symbolizes, bravery, chivalry, recklessness, and a possible certain disregard for the rules

patton, the heart, the emotions, and generally the soul of what makes thomas who he is (empathy and emotion wise that is) he wears light blue which is a calming and happy color as well as a cat onzie or cardigan, we have seen his redemption arc though he continues to inevitably seem lost as he does represent thomas’s heart and is a hufflepuff, which represents, impartiality, loyalty, and hardwork he is constantly struggling to not be left behind and confused but he is lovable his symbol is a light blue heart with glasses which can be translated as his calming affection for others or exhubersting affection really it depends on the person but yet he is smart he just doesn’t show it the way logan does with big words and quoting well known philosophers

i love all of the sanders sides but sadly have no affiliation to thomas sanders or any of his writers this is an in-depth analyzation of the five characters so far as we have met, I love all of them and while i have had problems with deception in the past so i may have a slight bias against decit I do still try to remain impartial in the name of science and kindness toward others

KNK Scenario - First Date w/ KNK

Youjin👴~ Now everyone knows Youjin is a gentleman. He will 100% take to a nice little spot(because you know he is the search king.) I doubt he would go overboard in terms of the place you go on a date. He is a very serious person so if he asked you out he saw something in you he liked and wants to know more about you. Most likely over dinner it’ll be like 20 questions. He will try his best to break out of his shell son that it doesn’t feel like an onslaught of question. Overall I like to believe that both of you would be leaving with butterflies in your stomachs.

Seungjun🐕~ Okay Seungjun is really adorable and sweet. Everyone knows he’s crazy affectionate and loves watching movies. Now the only way I can see Seungjun asking anyone out is because they have been friends for a long time. He can watch almost any movie(except horror movies.) He’s also a foodie so concessions is his second favorite thing in the movie theater. He’s precious and so he’ll most likely want to cuddle a little or at the very least hold your hand. After everything stopping at a 24 hour convenient store to grab even more snacks. Generally, a fun and care free night like you were with a friend.

Inseong📢 ~ Oh boy, he truly is a day of sunshine(very loud sunshine.) I can see this going two ways. He is deceptively confident in a place he can control. So he’s most confident singing so I can’t see past him taking you to a karaoke bar to let you witness his talent cause he would want to impress you. He would also be silly and sing terribly so he wouldn’t make you feel embarrassed if you feel you can’t match up to him. The other place I can see you going is just a plain old Korean barbeque place. The boy loves food. He could eat until he fell asleep and I would imagine he would want someone to eat like he did.

Jihun🤗 ~ Everyone knows Jihun is not the most confident dude. Often being drown out by the other members(you know unless he’s laughing.) The only way he could possibly ask anyone out is because everyone was telling him to. He would anxious and nervous but it would instantly turn relief when you said yes. I think simplicity would be the way to go cause he doesn’t want to scare you. So a small date in the park with a little picnic. He’d buy you all your favorite snacks(he even does this for the members.) If you are able to get him comfortable enough he might even go play on the swings or play soccer with you.

Heejun👶~ Heejun, in my opinion, is the most confident member. I can totally see him taking you to carnival or park. He’d love going on rides with you and eating different foods. He’d let you lead to whatever interested you. He’s very laid back so going with the flow is comfortable with him. This smol bean is going to cater to you so I hope you don’t mind taking control. Heejun will also keep you out til late at night most likely walking and going in and out of convenient stores to grab random snacks if you so wish. There will be so much shenanigans. Whether it be singing together or running around on playgrounds. He will respect your wishes if you don’t feel comfortable doing everything and will definitely ask you out again as soon as possible so that you can become closer.

You Didn’t Realize Your Fave Is Problematic: LeFou Edition

You know that gross projection thing we generally agree is creepy and uncool when it comes from Gaston to Belle? LeFou’s lower key about it...but still totally projects onto Gaston in the same way. See also: Who needs her when you have us?, the look he shoots Gaston during the first half of his pre-song monologue (my love rubbing my aching feet), I’m sure there are others but it’s 3 am and my focus isn’t the best.

Actively sabotages Gaston with other women (It’s never going to happen ladies), then uses THOSE SAME WOMEN he’s already gone out of his way to insult/plant a seed of doubt in to dissuade Gaston from pursuing--in his mind--the more active threat of Belle (You know, there ARE other girls).

Pays the town into continuing a deception that potentially feeds not just Gaston’s ego--which is the point of it all--but a possibly dangerous delusion leading his friend to believe he can do no harm...thus Gaston’s confidence and ability to sweep the town up during “The Mob Song”.

Have I mentioned??? That he’s??? Dangerously co-dependent??? On Gaston???????

Like he almost refuses to cultivate an identity outside of being Gaston’s best friend and general lackey. Building your entire identity solely on one other person, even if it’s just paying homage to an original oversight in a children’s animated feature, is dangerous and bad y’all. You need to be independent. If you define yourself only based on others, then you are too easily influenced BY others into danger. Look at those cut scenes. Wince loudly at the implications of LeFou doing things like catching Plumette in a net. Remember how easily he could have been made a villain if Gaston hadn’t FORCED him to cultivate an identity at the last second by shoving him under the bus harpsichord. He might have slowly been gaining one along the way--but his participation on Gaston’s side of the battle at the castle is a clear indicator of dubious if not outright malicious and unhealthy behaviors.

He lies about being illiterate. Illiterate people wouldn’t call themselves illiterate. What are you hiding, LeFou?

Watched his best friend slip down a seriously fatal path and instead of reaching out for any kind of help decided to sit back and try to nudge him back on the right path.

First of all, I love any Alec fighting scene.. I know he loves his bow and arrows (i love ‘em too~) but when he fights with swords (with enemies) or his bare hands (i.e: last time with Raphael), it was just 

WOAH BOY~ YOU’RE SO FI~NE~~~! ( ˘ ³˘)♥

..lol..

I also love how much more confident BAMF he is now.. how no nonsense he is towards Aldertree. I mean seriously~! Aldertree messes with Jace and Izzy, two of the more outwardly dominant of the three siblings. And Alec just so casually like ‘fuck you. You follow ME. Not the other way round.’ And best of all, Aldertree listened to him! 

Alec really is a natural born protector and leader.

Secondly, I love any scene with Magnus and Clary. I love the whole not-really-a-dad-more-like-big bro/cool uncle/sassy close friend Magnus is to her. I love when he called her Biscuit so so fondly.. I love how kind and nice Clary is. Seriously, it’s so hard to like main female character usually but I really really adore Clary. And don’t u agree that Kat has the loveliest happiest smile ever? XD. 

Thirdly, I love Simon. Period.

I love that even when he’s a vampire, he’s still so much of a dork.. still talkative, still so painfully innocent and still in need of so much protection..lol

Clary and Simon BFF is friendship goal, okay! She is so damn protective of him.. even when she was with Jace, she will always side with Simon and stood up for him when Jace teases him. When the Soul Sword activated and she instinctively covered him.. o(〃＾▽＾〃)o

And yeah i know many people are bummed with this Climon thing BUT~ even though I don’t ship them as a couple, that ending scene of the episode is just so so sweet.. After the night they went through, it’s lovely to see them being happy together (sorry jace)

Raphael.

I love how...gentle and soft spoken he was. 

It’ll be so much easier to knock Magnus out (Magnus didn’t even noticed the vampires coming due to their speed) but the vampires just hold him back and not even roughly (just very firmly and strongly ^^;;) and i bet that was due to Raphael’s order. When Raphael said so calmly to Clary ‘quick and painless..’, assuring her that he will make sure she won’t feel a thing, it reminds me of how Raphael was with Simon in the book when he was about to kill him,

Raphael reached out to Simon and took hold of his shoulders, the grip of his deceptively slight hands like iron. “Turn your head,” he said, “and look at the stars; it will be easier that way.”

Raphael might be the grumpy cat of the Night Children but truth is, he has the gentlest soul of them all.

JACE

Jace Jace Jace.... oh honey~.. :’(

Dom is a really really really great actor.. esp for angst scenes. Every single time Jace is upset/teared up/hurting.. my heart hurts too :’(

When he realized he activated the sword instead of destroying it, when Clary told him that he doesn’t have demon’s blood in him... he doesn’t looked even remotely relieved.. he looked devastated. 

And when Alec came rushing in, Jace started tearing up.. and when he told Alec he was the one that activated the sword and Alec asked about Magnus and Jace’s voice just shaking.. 

And when he called out to Alec as Alec rushed out again to find Magnus and when he jerked away from Clary when she reached out to touch him, it showed how much he needed Alec at the moment.. how much he wished Alec stayed with him a little longer. 

Honestly, I found it very interesting this Jace and Alec relationship. I mean yeah sure, they’re parabatai and all~.. What i meant was that, before we would think that Alec depends-on/needs Jace more than Jace depends-on/needs him. What with his crush on Jace, him resenting Clary - large part coz Jace so obviously taken with Clary and keeps defending her, Jace being more outgoing since they’re small..etc.. but as the show progresses on, you can see it’s actually the other way round.

Jace might not be in love with Alec but he does love him. He loves Alec with everything that he has, with everything that he is. Alec is his rock. His ground. The very person he really truly can’t live without. (i.e: when they were at odds, when Alec is ‘dying’). Jace could deal with being called a traitor, with having Valentine as his dad (or so he thought), with being shunned by the entire Institute, with Clary being with Simon.. But i think if he were to lose Alec, he will actually lose any will to live/fight.

Madzie

she is the smallest of the smol bean?? Like she literally just like knee high?? Valentine is such an ass for making this baby girl killed people. She might not fully understands it now but this will haunt her as she gets older :(. 

And seriously~ it’s amazing how she protects Alec (so in some ways she understands that she will kill/harms the others) and when she walked closer to Magnus, i just melted (i bet he carried her as well~ PICTURES PLEASE!!). She instinctively trusts Magnus just as she does Alec. 

Finally~

MALEC!!!!

Okay, Alec started searching for Magnus when it was still night time right? And when Magnus came to him, it was already morning.. So~ just how many hours did Alec spent searching and worrying for Magnus? The institute is really big, can you just imagined what went through his mind? With every Downworlder body he found.. just praying it won’t Magnus’s? 

And when he went outside, panting and just... searching for any glimpse of...

And when Magnus touched him and he turned around and.. THE HUG!!! 

It breaks my heart a bit when Magnus started rambling bout how he found Madzie and how the girl is safe now.. you can see his eager smile when he said that like he wants to show Alec ‘Don’t worry, i saved that little girl you like.. see, i did good right?’ It literally never enters his mind that Alec was worried about HIM... Just like he never thought/expected Alec..or anyone really~ to give him anything. 

In fact i think even as Alec confessed how terrified he was at not knowing if Magnus is dead or alive, Magnus doesn’t fully gets it.. how much he really truly means to Alec. He never expected that ‘I love you’.. 

Magnus Bane is not used to be the no 1 person in anyone’s heart.

No one ever put him first before. 

Fans complaints that it is always Alec who makes the first move: for kissing, sex and now he said I love you first.. 

But i think that’s how it should be.. at least at first.. 

It suits their personality/back story too. 

Magnus is around 400 years old and sure, he could have anyone in his bed with barely an effort.. he IS gorgeous and charming after all~ but when it comes down to it, no one ever wants/choose him for their forever.. he’s been rejected over and over again. 

Alec just realized he actually in love with Magnus,

Magnus~.. i am pretty sure he knows he’s in love with Alec way before this. He just never said it first coz he never thought Alec will have the same depth of feeling towards him. Look at the part surprise part disbelief expression on his face when Alec said I Love You.. 

I think despite him pursuing Alec first and them finally be a couple, at the back of his mind, Magnus always expected for Alec one day to be tired of the relationship/him. 

Thats why he never pushes and let Alec to take the lead because he doesnt want to do anything that Alec is not comfortable with and speed up the eventual result of Alec leaving him. 

I think Magnus is quite vulnerable emotionally (for matters of heart/love, i meant). 

I’m not saying he’s a pushover.. Hell, no.

But he’s used to getting hurt and.. used.

Alec~.. 

It bothers me that (most) fans tend to think Alec as a delicate sensitive ‘will scattered like dust when slightest strong wind blows on him’ crying at littlest papercut, naive, innocent than a baby, weaker than an ant, will never take the lead in anything let alone in their bedroom - little bluebell flower. Just coz he’s younger than Magnus.

Personally I think these kind of people are just projecting their own fantasy on the guy and honestly they are being extremely insulting to the character.

Alec might not be experienced (at first) when he met Magnus.. but he is FAR from being innocent and naive and he is certainly NOT a delicate goddamn flower.

He’s smart and charismatic with strong sense of justice.

He might be a bit shy at first but that doesnt mean he’s a pushover. He’s a born leader and protector.

He’s strong both physically and mentally (with emotional abuse he received from his mother, not to mentioned constant stress from keeping his siblings in line and having to keep his true sexuality hidden; why is this even a question?).

He’s sassy and sarcastic (even more than Magnus actually) and more than able to make someone feels 2 inches tall with just few sharp words.

He might not be experienced in intimacy. But he is stubborn and tenacious and once he decided what (or in this case, who) he wants, he’ll go for it. Like just… go and get it.

And HELL to those trying to keep him away.

Yeah, he was uncomfortable and denied his sexuality at first. But all he needs is just a chance.. just an opportunity.. just someone worth to risk everything for and assure him that what he’s feeling is okay, that he is nothing bad.. and once he found that person.. just.. wow.

Seriously.. he unapologetically told his parents to deal with it. He went against everything he’s been taught for.. risks the scorn not just from his parents but from the entire Shadowhunters society as well.  And still he literally doesn’t care who knows that he and Magnus are together.

Case in point: He literally kissed Magnus where and when he wants to; his own wedding, out on the open balcony~, in the goddamn broad daylight in FRONT of the Institute~~~ *cue Maryse throwing up her hands in despair*

Point is: 

I’m just so happy they found each other. 

Magnus is gentle and patience. He’s the one that could soothe Alec when the latter got too agitated/stressed/focused/serious/depressed/helpless. 

And Alec is stubborn and determined and loyal. He won’t let any Shadowhunters making Magnus feels bad nor using him. He’s the bridge between Downworlders and Shadowhunters. They will naturally follow his lead. 

My OTP is actually the official Power Couple.. Wow.. 

Headcannon:

That night Alec will kiss and worship every inch of Magnus’ body and reassure himself that this beautiful beautiful man is alive and well and truly his.
