Dp x Dc AU: Tucker gets hired by the JL to work on the Watchtower’s cybersecurity... He might have a few friends visit. 

Batman looked over the application for visitors presented to him by Dr. Foley, who was nervously wringing his hands but seemed excited to talk about his two close associates, and it appeared that everything was in order for the pair to be allotted a short visitation time slot. 

The paperwork was established by Batman himself after all, needing a way to permit non-members (His Children) to visit him at his office in the watchtower. Looking over Dr. Foley’s application, the invites to Dr. D. Fenton and Dr. S. Manson seemed to be somewhat warranted.

Dr. Fenton is a well known astrophysicist and Dr. Foley had been upping the security to reflect more complex physics models as the ‘lock’ mechanism for access to Watchtower servers. Dr. Manson was a more controversial figure in social justice but a biochemist to rival Dr. Pamela Isley, not to mention she was someone Bruce Wayne had met a number of times and not completely hated (though he was sure she hated him and everyone else in the gala). She was a fan favorite guest by his children and a great advocate for animal and human rights. 

Batman approves the application, allowing their visitation for a few hours at a time once a week until the completion of Dr. Foley’s project. 

He doesn’t hear much from it, nor from Dr. Foley, but things start to come down the rumor grapevine that the two guests were more than they seemed. Red Robin was the first to comment on it to him, and as practical and efficient Tim could be, there was a look of chaos in his smile as he discussed the two additional PhDs. He was stingy on details and that always meant something bad for Bruce’s mental health. A few others asked a few questions as to who exactly the pair were visiting, and Cyborg commented that they weren’t really doing too much to assist Dr. Foley. 

Batman decides to intervene and meet these two for himself when he hears Constantine complain (not that the man wasn’t always complaining about something) about the two new magic users being way too OP for normal humans. 

This is how the JL gets to become allied with Ghost King Phantom and Thorn (not Poison Ivy pt.2 as Robin insisted). Turns out they weren’t sure if the JL could be trusted with interdimensional politics, so Tucker spent the last two years gaining their trust to let Danny and Sam up here to ‘check the place out’ before they committed to becoming members. 

Batman doesn’t even get to raise alarms at the espionage of it all because Red Robin has already programed their new badges and welcomed them on with open arms and a project to take down the LOA’s Lazarus Pits “safely”.

Freshman walks in and sees her Botanty Professor is the Pamela Isley and half way through the class Harley runs in a neon pink jumpsuit with a bento box meal.

Even before she earned her PhD, Pamela Isley was a passionate climate activist. Her mentor Dr. Woodrue, however, would convince her to use her unparalleled genius for botany to aid his group of eco-terrorists. She developed composts and engineered weeds to encourage wild plant growth and inhibit land development, and extracted her plants’ toxins to make smoke bombs and knock-out gas.

As Pamela was pulled deeper and deeper into a life of eco-terrorism, she was exposed to more and more of her own unstable toxins. Somehow, however, her body eventually reached an equilibrium, accepting the plant matter as part of her system, but leaving her physically sickly and mentally unstable. Her actions became ever more radical. Land-reclaiming weeds led to building-swallowing vines, knock-out gas to hallucinogens and nerve poison. And the more dangerous the chemicals, the more she was affected in a vicious cycle. When she started murdering Ace Chemical employees en masse, her team knew it was time to cut and run. But she had long since stopped caring about them. The last they heard of their mad cohort she was babbling about “the green” calling out to her...

Today, Poison Ivy continues to develop all sorts of dangerous new plants to further her goals and dispose of her enemies. But her mutated physiology makes her far from harmless herself. She is immune to all kinds of poison and numb to all pain, her own bodily fluids have become toxic to normal humans, and her mutated pheromones make her highly persuasive to all but the strongest of wills. What will her powers blossom into as she continues her experiments? Only time will tell…

toxikinesis: makes it so she, as a plant-person, is literally toxic to the touch. literal 'kiss of death' ! hence why i decided she wears gloves in this universe, mhm.

toxic immunity: immune to toxins...

skin pigment manipulation: as a plant-person, she is naturally very green :\ but she's able to manipulate her dna to make her skin... like, human-passing ! still a lil green, but only if you're really looking !

decelerated aging: that plant dna is a real treat ! as long as she maintains solar energy ( and doesn't get murdered <3 ), she's expected to live longer and age slower than the average human.

regeneration: because she's part plant... she's kinda like those lizard that get their arm hacked off then a new arm just... grows in its place. that's ivy.

genius level intellect: girlie-pop has a phd and keeps getting smarter by the minute!

sun deprivation: if she's deprived of the sun/natural light for too long, she, like a plant, withers and becomes weakened. ( like i said, new 52 actually had an arc that explored this in a super interesting way -- i can't remember what the run was, but it was with barbara and it took her through the seasons without directly saying what was going on until the end in winter... like, new 52 did something right with that and with ivy's revamped backstory ! also her design was really cool but... i digress. )

Knight of Gotham: Pamala Isley aka Poison Ivy

Pamala Isley was the top of her class at Gotham University. Her entire life, she felt a strong connection with nature and loved to now be a biochemist and botanist.

All of her tuition was well and taken care of by her employer, Bella Garten. Together the two made strides for women getting into science and doing research into the effects of chemicals deriving from mutated plants.

What Pamala didn’t know was that Ms. Garten was a woman with connections. She went by the alias “The Gardener” when working for CADMUS, the Covert Attack and Defense Ministry of the United States.

Overtime, Pamala was unknowingly warped and twisted mentally by her exposure to the chemicals. Her skin turning a faint yet sickly green, her veins resembling vines.

Pamala gained a new identity and purpose. She was Ivy. Poison Ivy. She would make sure that Gotham would be rightfully returned to the swamp land that it was built on. The green will cover the concrete, no matter what.

Luckily for Bella, she now had a new member to add to the black force team, Task Force X. A bioterrorist skilled in using her plants and chemicals to influence and attack those who dare stand in her way. She will make all of the disgusting humans of Gotham pay…

i’m not allowed to listen to the new Batman Unburied season until i’m done with this chapter of my fanfic (soon), but I also really want to relisten to the first season so badly because of Emmy Raver-Lampman’s portrayal of Ivy which is so fucking goooooood.

Isley, a timid and shy girl, was easily seduced by her professor. Woodrue injected her with DTSV-22, along with various poisons and toxins, as part of an experiment, causing her transformation. She nearly died twice as a result of these poisonings, which drove her to the brink of insanity.

Afterward, Woodrue fled from the authorities, leaving Isley in the hospital for six months. Enraged by his betrayal, she experienced violent mood swings. When her classmates began mysteriously suffering from a massive fungal overgrowth one by one, Isley dropped out of school and left Seattle. She eventually settled in New York City, where she was recruited by the Division.

After years of rehabilitation, Isley is now in control of her powers. She has earned her PhD and currently works with the Division under the condition that she uses her abilities for good and the protection of Mother Nature.

I already expressed my problems with Harley's design, and my brain kept working, so I decided to create an AU to gather my thoughts.

So, here, Poison Ivy:

The paper flowers were made by Harley.

You can see that I mostly just gave her a different dress and horns, and mostly left her design alone. I like the green skin and red hair.

I did play around with her backstory because I personally hate it, and it makes me want to bash my head into a wall.

So I made her a backstory that will make some DC fans triggered. (I am specifically looking at christians because I know my kind. We are really sensitive about gods and stuff, it's annoying.)

Pamela Isley had grown up in the lower end of bristol. Her parents were emotionally distant, her father a botanist and her mother a chemist. She found plants interesting, and loved being out in the gardens and the greenhouse. She learned to care for the plants when she was young, and she loved to just show affection.

At the age of six, she discovered her metahuman abilities, which made her resistant against natural toxins and sicknesses after she was bit by a poisonus spider, and nothing happened. It wasn't even inflamed.

She grew up not knowing anything about gods and religions, as her parents weren't believers.

When she was around sixteen, she somehow got to the whichcraft side of tiktok, maybe bc of her plant obsession, and there she saw that some people worshipped hellenistic deities and worked with them She loved the idea, and that day, she made an altar to Demeter, but received no reply, no sign of the goddess hearing her.

The people she talked with online about this suggested that she try with someone else because maybe Demeter was not satisfied with her. So she did and reached out to an older deity, Gaia.

And she received an answer, and many after that. The mother goddess loved her offerings and the care she showed towards plant life and nature.

She got her PhD in botanics like her father, and she found a job at WE's bio-friendly program.

One day, she was praying to Gaia, just a night routine, when the goddess reached out to her, and asked her to stop humanity from hurting her. Pamela, of course, accepted her request.

Then she changed, became an ecoterrorist, yada yada, the rest is pretty much how it goes in canon, except she prays to gaia.

The little stone at her waist is actually an artefact blessed by gaia that amplifies her powers and provides a direct connection to the goddess.

She had a massive crush on a psychiatrist at arkham called Harleen Quinzel, and after a few hiccups (walmart clown) they got together.

Ivy lives in a biodump that got way too toxic for anyone to live in. (BTAS Ivys living situation basically.)
