Reading an article on how no one truly knows how to read a book front to back anymore is making me so terrified I literally don’t gaf if I’m a biochem major it’s looking more and more every day like I’m going for that literature master’s degree for no reason other than to feel something

to me it's so sad that climate change/environment continues to be like, bottom of the list of voter priority issues. despite the fact that, you know, it will determine the livability of the entire planet and one of these candidates wants to make it much, much worse

#hurr hurr molly you silly scientist don't you know gas prices matter so much more than whether coastal states will sink into the ocean #i mean it's not like you've dedicated your entire life to protecting the environment #or that climate change is a very real problem already affecting so many minority and impoverished communities #or the ability of our country to grow cereal crops. or increasing frequency of once-in-a-century storms.#or power grids not built to handle massive heat waves #or idk. the sixth mass extinction that we're entering. that i'm on the front lines of #as long as the environment is a second thought to the general public we won't make enough progress fast enough to save this planet
