message loading below.. thank you all for tagging me in the love trains!
Happy (early) new year everyone! I have been tagged in so many variations of love trains the past couple of days and just wanted to take this opportunity to have a quick chat about my first year here on simblr (˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵) For the longest time i didn't want to consider joining this side of tumblr, not until a good friend recommended me to do so. The thought of people being interested in my little ocs or the gameplay i wanted to share never even crossed my mind, i'm so glad that i was proved wrong! Joining this community has not only allowed me to meet some of the most creative and talented people i know, but has also given me the chance to develop my own skills too (๑´>᎑<)~* I don't think anything i say could portray how grateful i am for every friend and mutual i have made on here throughout the past eight months, for all the love i've received. Just know that i truly appreciate every single one of you, and look forward to seeing your posts on here every day! As we step into the new year, i'm excited to continue sharing my creations and seeing all the amazing things you guys create too! Thank you for making my first year on here so wonderful, it's been a joy to connect with you all ♡ wishing everyone a bright & happy 2025, hope it'll be a year filled with love and joy for all of us!🥂

FAREWELL NAPOWRIMO 2022 -
IT'S BEEN A THING...
And here's a snapshot of the Thing It's Been...
JOURNAL IDEAS FOR SUBMISSIONS -
This year, the focus has been on introducing participating writers to online literary journals.
Over the course of the month, 30 journals have been highlighted, two of which I've submitted to and been rejected by (so far - never say never!), one of which, oh miracle, I'd submitted to successfully and actually had a poem in the current issue, being highlighted.
Most of the others were new to me and I'll be looking to check them out over the next month/s, IF any of the poem-stock I've been gradually rebuilding (the offline stock that is!) are submit-worthy.
FEATURED POETS
A big part of the experience is not just the writing a poem a day, but having somewhere to post them, and the opportunity to interact with others who are also writing. One or more of these posted poems then gets highlighted the following day.
Thanks to Maureen's decision to feature more than one poet when she's finding it too tough to narrow down to just the single piece of writing, we've had 48 featured poets over the course of 31 days (30 days in April plus the early-bird prompt 31st March).
Technically, we've have 47 featured poets as one - Arti Jain - featured twice!! (Woop, woop, well done Arti!).
I snuck with a poem featured as one of three pieces highlighted from Day 29 - super pleased for the shoutout, which came just at the point that I'd decided that this year it wasn't going to...!
POEMS TO THE PROMPT
Well, apparently I wrote something for every prompt, so that's 31 poems - or poem drafts - or stub poems - or poetic sketches (etc.).
I've had a quick look back through the month and there's one or two poems I'm immediately still really fond of... a few I'm NOT very fond of, and several I have effectively no memory at all of writing (I'm assuming that these may not be "my best work").
I'd like to do a bit more work with some of / or possibly all of / my NAPOWRIMO 2022 output so I'll be starting a look-back tomorrow and let's see whether I think there's anything more to say.
(Hopefully I will, since the assumption in coming into the challenge is writing lots-and-fast is a great way to build up source material - which can then be refined and honed and reset into "final poems"...?)
