following the events of "the day of the doctor" the eleventh doctor remembers, he remembers what happened, what he went through. he most likely also remembers: the bad wolf was the moment, he had memories of seeing rose tyler locked away.

sure, it had been a long time, but those memories probably came back.

then we go to "the time of the doctor" where the doctor had been traveling alone, avoiding and trying to run from his fate, when he gets a call from clara, asking him to come to christmas with her. he agrees, and while we never see the scene, he steps out of the tardis for christmas with clara to:

the powell estate. he same place where his new life started all those years ago.

he had all these new memories of rose that he hadn't before, and then had to go have christmas in the very place he met her.

(for extra angst i like to believe he didn't know that that's where clara's family lived, and stepped out of the tardis only to stare up at the building that changed his life).

Uncle Jim... couldn’t be me.  All these foster kids he gotta take care of... including his man.  The Thailand government owes him checks.  He gotta take care of his sisters child, she’s busy hoeing with limited profit (Been gone most of her child’s life, could have been married 3 times over with dead husbands, nothing to show for her work.)  Now, coz coz gets his lil’ girlfriend pregnant Uncle Jim is at the pawn shop to do right, it ain’t his seed.  His man, college graduate, a professional is at his door, homeless.  That grill gate needs a security camera, Medeco lock, and a password.  Should’ve called the show Moonlight Beer cause every time he’s stressed he gotta drink... The man can’t even light up a cigarette, it’s not cause of “bad influence “ either, it’s a habit he can’t afford to have cause he’s busy bailing out everyone.   All the people that used this poor man... outside of his family as well.  Change your name from Uncle Jim to Stranger Jim and buy that one way ticket to anywhere... solo.  Jim your man is cute but you need rejuvenation time alone...

Me, a non-American, always seeing Americans on this god damn website either going "9/11 is the worse tragedy in the world, the war was justified because these Arabs and Muslims deserve it, they all are terrorists, Long Live America" or "the war had no reason to exist, poor people, all because of these fucking 9/11 victims, let's mock them and say they deserved it, they're not innocent, Fuck America" instead of seeing it as a tragical day indeed that got overused as an excuse for war propaganda making innocent victims on both sides, the first being weaponized while everyone would have just wished it never happened at all with no death, once again goverments and terrorists are the ones to blame and yet they win by having civilians choose sides over the death of fucking human beings
