25, here the journey begins🌻

Wow, such an old age. Well, I feel blessing that today I turn out 25 - I can’t believe that I already live for quarter years.

As being older, same as a year before, I believe a birthday ain’t special thing. i just got some reviews for myself, and I ask into: Am I happy right now?

I know, 25 is still means a young, but you really have to be responsible to your self. In this country especially, society determined that 25th-people, must having steady stable job, big saving account, working in famous-big-company, or having a partner/married. These pattern that built by society, make us overwhelm. You know why? Because in our 20s, we still struggling to figure out what to do to our life. We still got chances to explore ourselves. Even people in their 30s, 40s, and over still couldn’t figure it out.

I really believe, every articles I’ve read, every written-experiences in Quora, that 20s is really your golden age. You still have energy, you still have your quota for failure, you can try everything, and just trust, that money come second, knowledges come first. Thus, in my 25 birthday, I take a step back on my career journey. yup. I will resign in the end of the month. Well, high paying job, working close to home, and monotonous pattern- perhaps is the job that people dream of. Yet, not for me. I still have any better opportunities outta there to challenge myself, for my growth-sake.

However, some things that these age really affected me: my character. I used to be a person who hang anywhere, following any trend, or so on. But now, these are not matter anymore. In such adult life, I must be ready to lost connection over my pals. As we go older, we understand that relationship need to be nurtured, to be kept. But sometimes, by distances that apart us, our busy work schedule, and priorities, create us forgot to our lovely people. I acknowledge that myself is currently ‘being’ in this phase. I am too lazy to meet people (even my close friends), just love being at home watching movies instead of hanging out, only connecting with people that makes me comfort, etc. Let say, that the older my age, the more I become introvert. Well, honestly, is not me who’s not endeavour through my relationship. Sometimes I disconnected from people because I just afraid that I depend on them. I just afraid to lay on people. What if they leave me after I lay on them?. Hmm people’s trust crisis, perhaps?

Moreover, if we talk about relationship. Making a partner is matters. What I feel in myself until this second, I a m r e a l l y n o t r e a d y h a v i n g a p a r t n e r y e t . Absolutely because the crisis happened to myself. In addition, I couldn’t be opened for anyone, especially men. I mean, it’s still got li’l creepy if a man reaches me with visible-dating-desire xoxo. Oh God, it really is. It’s not me who don’t want a partner, but, I just haven’t found it yet. I believe that, I would made good approach too, if I see him as someone attractive for myself. Well, let the universe work on us. Just expand your networking, and reconnect to anyone.

The next thing is: health. Maintain our health is really important especially in our 20s. It will reshape your body and make it more stronger. Fortunately, I let myself to set up 2-3 workout in a week. I know, I know, that I do have problem to my weight. But I am struggling to stick on my healthy meals tho’ xoxo. As this is my birthday, I wanna set myself to loss 10 kilos more. I just really want to something fresh to start my phase. Believe what science said: reduce sugars, fats, and carbo- increase protein supply to your body.

However, any life journey ahead, I open myself to accept all opportunities that Allah’s took me into. Life is beautiful with many surprises. I still got much stuff to do, achieving Erasmus this year, getting master degree, meeting new people, and solo travel. I hope I could pass my time confidently, brightly, and happily ever after no matter problems hit me up. I release negative energy from my inner self, release all hate and broken heart. And facing this new phase with head-up.

And if I ask to myself am I happy right now? yes! and soon, the happiness will get bigger in the end of October. Our own happiness comes first, right?xoxo

Some creepy stories and why we don't owe you shit after a flirt

I'd like to say something about flirting: We (all people, male and female) don't owe you anything. Just because you bought a drink for us, we had a conversation or even because we went on a date, doesn't mean we owe you sex or attention or affection. My examples will be about guys since I am a hetero female but this counts also the other way around or any other kind of type of dating. I am also not denying that some people can be really mean and some girls are nice until you get them a drink and then ignore you (that's a thing too). But I have had so many creepy experiences and I only just turned 21, that I feel like I need to remind the people around me that this is not okay. 1. I had this thing with a bartender from my regular pub. We flirtet for weeks, he came over eventually. It was terrible sex and we decided to leave it behind us. Two weeks later he pretends to leave the country so I would come and meet him at his apartment. I saw through his shit on time Fortunately. THEN HE WENT TO MY APARTMENT AND TOOK A PHOTO OF ME SITTING AT THE WINDOW FROM THE BACK ALLEY. I blocked him then and there. 2. One day I walked past a guy from my post-2nd-school, he was in a different term but I was friends with some of his classmates so I was nice and said hi. He asked what I was doing, I said I would go eat something and he basically invited himself to join. Okay, no problem, whatever. We eat, we talk a bit, it's friendly but I do not have any interest in this man. I was looking forward to listening to music, looking at the waterfront view and eating pasta on my own. He is younger than me, has obviously no experience and was looking for something safe. I was at his point once: 18 y/o virgin. I knew I was the wrong person for him and I also didn't find him attractive. I see him later in school again, I am polite but that is it. I notice him becoming more and more volatile towards me. The nod in the hallway becomes a glare. I don't know why and I don't care. A couple weeks later I find out that he has been telling everyone in his term (5 of these people being people I'd hang out with sometimes) THAT WE WENT ON A DATE AND THAT I WAS A BITCH FOR IGNORING HIM NOW. A friend of mine said he didn't really believe that, 90% of the rest of the term started ignoring me after that. 3. It happened to me 3 times that men would send me a drink through the bartender, I'd look up and they would be in their end 30s or even beginning of 40s. I'd nod a thank you and they would come over and actually flirt with me. I was 19 or 20 then. One of the men didn't leave when I asked him to. He kept insisting "but I got you a drink, you should at least give me a dance." He didn't leave me alone until I looked him in the eye and said "I am 20 years younger than you. I don't date men that could be my father". He pretended like he didn't know (and didn't hope I had daddy issues), acted all shocked and left. 4. There are sometimes men standing at the entrance area of clubs with drinks in their hand that they give random girls and then follow them around all night. I never accept these drinks but I've seen friends of mine take them and then I'd see the man stand in the closest corner watching them all night. Fortunately non of these were roofied so far. Do you think like they sound like some weird people? This is what you come across as every time you force someone to take the next step in your "relationship". To ask for a date was your decision. To pay her drink was your decision. Just because she talks to you and is polite, doesn't mean she wants to fuck you. We don't owe you anything. So leave it or get over it.
