Five presents Jason brought you back from his adventures and one you asked for. (+ one) ~1.2k words of fluff
Jason Todd brings you home gifts from his missions, which wouldn't be a problem, but he never really explains what they are.
The first time it happened, you had laughed at the green ring with a lantern symbol in the middle. It looked cheesy, like one of the fake ones you can buy from the superhero merch stores littered around malls and outlets.
You'd kissed his cheek in thanks, put it on your shelf, and never gave it a second thought.
At least you didn't, until a bright green glow woke you up from your sleep. You'd sat up immediately, jaw practically dropping to the sheets as the ring lifted itself off your shelf and flew out the window.
Jason barely budged, his arm still thrown over your waist. He let out yawn and cuddled closer before speaking, voice groggy and heavy, "Huh. Didn't think they noticed that one was gone."
"They," You half yell, voice pitching as you stare at his outline, hidden in the shadows of the room.
"The Guardians, babe," he yawns out, "They're in charge of the space cops. Just go back to sleep."
Naturally, you do not go back to sleep. You drag him to the kitchen, make tea, and demand he explains why a Green Lantern ring was in your apartment. (He's very happy to)
The second time it happens, you're much more wary of the gift he brings home. But to be fair, he can't really pass off an Amazonian steel sword as something he just picked up.
It doesn't take as much convincing as it should for you to let him mount it on your wall. But it's a sword! No one can blame you for thinking it looks cool in your living room.
It turns out keeping it around is pretty useful, because a few weeks later, your boyfriend crawls through your window, dressed head to toe in armor.
"Hey, doll," he drawls, "Can I borrow your sword?"
"Sure," You chirp back, more preoccupied with your book as he saunters over to the sword, "what for?"
"Artie's got confiscated, and we haven't gotten to steal it back yet," he supplies, stopping long enough to pull his helmet up and kiss your head.
"Oh, that sucks," You answer, offhandedly, "Give her and Bizzaro my love."
"You got it, babe," he chirps already halfway out your window.
He does bring your sword back, covered in green blood, but no worse for wear. It still looks great on your wall.
He brings you a box next. It's kind of ugly looking, but you thank him nonetheless.
"Be careful with it," he tells you as you flip it over in your hands, "It opens boom tubes."
You almost drop it, and if you hadn't already experienced the power ring, you would have shrieked at him. Instead, you manage to put it down very carefully and calmly ask, "It does what?"
"Open boom tubes," he answers, which clears absolutely nothing up, "I figured we could use it to country hop for our next date night. You know, dinner in Paris, drinks in Dubai, dessert in LA."
"Okay," You answer slowly, as if that makes complete sense.
It turns out, it does. Date night is lovely, and making out with your boyfriend on a random beach in Spain is very, very nice.
Batman waiting in your apartment to take back the boom box isn't so nice, though.
Jason tells you it was worth it. He's absolutely right.
The third thing Jason brings you is a plant. Flowers aren't a rare show of affection from him, but ones that move are.
"Uh, thank you, Jason," You start, prodding at the moving petals, they nuzzle your fingers the same way a kitten would, "But I don't know how to take care of these."
"Same way you take care of any other plant, water, fertilizer, nutrients, all that fun stuff," he says fondly, stroking a few of the petals.
"What if it gets sick," You ask, uncertain.
"We'll call Ivy," he says, unbothered.
"Right. Ivy. Poison Ivy. Who you know," You mumble, but the little plant is already worming its way into your heart. (You affectionately name it Daisy, for no other reason then it sways happily when you say that name)
The fourth thing Jason brings you makes you laugh because you know exactly what it is, "Jason, we can't keep this."
"Why not," he pleads, shaking the bright green quiver filled with arrows at you.
You giggled harder, smiling wide as you shake your head at him, "We don't even know what those do. Don't some of those explode?"
"So what," he huffs, practically pouting, "We can ask Roy. And it's not like I don't know my way around explosives."
"I guess so," You relent, trying to stifle your laughs as you inspect the bright green arrows, "How did you even get this?"
His eyes light up mischievously, "Do you really want to know?"
You stop short and narrow your eyes at him, "I would lose my plausible deniability."
"But you wanna know," he says, sly and playful.
You do. (It involves mutated chickens, tar, and one distracted Oliver Queen. You hang the quiver next to the sword)
Jason's getting ready to leave, bags packed and helmet lazy held under his arm, "Can I bring you back anything specific, doll" he asks, his free hand resting comfortably against your cheek, "Lasso of Truth? Maybe something with magic?"
You grin at him, leaning into his touch, "I actually do have something in mind."
"Oh," he prompts, eyes glinting with excitement.
"I want to complete my batarang collection."
He falters, "Your– what?"
"No one has," You exclaim, pulling away to showcase your collection, "I have Nightwings, Batgirls, Batmans, yours, of course, one of Robin's. But I'm missing Spoilers, Batwomans, Signals, and Red Robins."
He blinks at you, "That's– if that's what you want."
You giggle at how dumbfounded he looks, practically bouncing back over to him to kiss him, "Thank you, Jason."
He catches your waist and pulls you back in for another, longer kiss that leaves you both breathless and panting. His voice lowers, like it's a secret, "I'll bring you back some batarangs. See you in a few days?"
"See you in a few days," You echo, and he winks at you as he tugs on his helmet, leaving out your window.
Sure enough, you get your batarangs when he gets home. It takes some convincing, a few kisses that leave you senseless, but you get Jason to help you mount your batarang collection alongside the sword and quiver.
"I should get you a plasma rifle next," he drawls, admiring your growing wall of weapons.
"I think I'd fall over if I tried to shoot one of those," You point out, all smiles.
"I'll teach you," he tells you, hooking an arm around your waist to draw you closer.
Jason's a man of his word, and sure enough, he brings you home a plasma cannon after his next mission.
You only destroy most of the shooting range in the batcave when he lets you try it out.

.‘ENTITLED’.
husband!gojo x pregnantwife!reader (afab)
» summary: leaving the busy streets of Sendai city back to its outskirts, the two of you got a bus. there aren’t any seats available, and being pregnant meant being able to sit in the priority seats. looks like they’re taken.
» CW: pregnancy, exhaustion, mentions of jizz, bus ride, stubborn civilian, teeny-weeny angst if you squint, protective satoru, threats, all happy, no swears, not proofread!
» a/n: this has been sat incomplete in my drafts for a month, only until now I’ve motivated myself to finish it (lmao). I don’t know what it is, but I love pregnancy fics with jjk.
———————————————————————
After a slow-paced stroll through the bustling streets of Sendai City and a bunch of offers from Gojo telling you he’ll buy whatever you want, the lingering sense of exhaustion finally caught up with you.
You had managed to make it an hour and a half.
The beads of salty sweat were becoming more prominent over your glossed skin, your breath being lost easily but being hard to get back. The overly frequent back aches weren’t helping either, it was like this baby was already overweight inside of you.
You couldn’t help but feel embarrassed as your soft, now clammy, hand weaved with Gojo’s, the wedding bands glinting a perfect chrome against the sun’s humid rays. You didn’t want to become a burden, neither a random woman in the city known for sweating abnormal amounts of sweat. “I think the baby’s had enough, huh sweets?”
Your loose gaze lifted upwards to meet his, immediately feeling the cool radiating from his cerulean eyes. Strangely, through the navy lenses in his shades.
“..yeah, me too.” You breathed.
“Okayyy, let’s get the bus back - save you walking around with that watermelon inside you.” Purposefully, Satoru presented you and your bump a judgy look.
“..thanks.”
Rolling your peepers with sarcasm, you gently swung your hand with his back and forth.
“Hey, that’s what it looks like to me!”
“Well it’s your sperm, blame your own genes on the fact it’s fat!”
“WHAT?! FAT?! I’M NOT FAT. I’M A TALL SKINNY KING! AND SO WILL BE MY BABIES!” The man was very much offended, that open-mouth and crossed brow face he pulled was all you needed to know.
“..oh REALLY? WELLI KNOW FOR A FACT ITS NOT MY GENES CAUSING IT!”
And all the way to the bus station you continued on with your quarrel on who’s genes caused your bump to be so big already.
Both you were just kids in adult bodies.
——
After earning an unusual load of overcritical glances from passers-by, you finally reached the bus station where many people stood.
Looking around with concern, your brows gently furrowed, a little confusion clouding your mind. It was good that Satoru could read you like a book.. sometimes.
“It’s okay, they’ll let us go past.”
The white-haired man muttered into your ear, placing his hands on your clothed shoulders.
“What if they don’t?”
“Oh they will.”
The way he said those words made you feel something, like it was your hormones playing tricks on you.
And so soon enough after waiting for a couple minutes, you had a glimpse of the scheduled bus turning around the corner.
“C’mon then.”
Placing a hand on the flat of your bump you both moved forwards, attempting to shift to the front.
“Satoru, I—”
“Just go baby, they’ll move for a pregnant queen like you.” He reassured, eyeing the men who weren’t moving out the way at first. Like they should, the women knew to make way, all flashing you sweetened smiles as you passed them.
Eventually you had gotten to the front with a man standing in the lead. “See?” Gojo smirked, watching you tilt your head back to see his beautiful face.
“M’kay..”
——
The doors of the vehicle swung open with a but too much vigour it almost took out the poor man standing next to them.
After Gojo, being the most pampering partner ever, paid for the tickets, he ushered you forwards only to discern no available seats. Gojo would be more than happy to stand, but it was you he worried about since you were already breathless and weak to stand.
The priority was stocked up with disabled and the impaired too apart from one space.
However that man who clearly perceived you were carrying a baby, sat in the seat in front of your face - glancing at you as he did so.
How selfish. Is he not embarrassed?
“There’s no seats left Gojo, I can’t stand anymore.”
Subtly you whined, being a little irritated that you couldn’t sit down and would have to uncomfortably stand as his baby rearranged your organs.
“..hm. Let’s see.”
“Wait—”
He shuffled to the man.
“Heello. Excuse me, but my miss is pregnant. Would you mind sparing the seat?” Gojo politely asked, hanging on to the pole situated in the middle of the aisle.
“What? Err no, sorry.”
That man was not sorry at all. It made you cringe.
Gojo’s expression paused, pressing his pastel lips together in irritation. Why wouldn’t this man listen?
“May I ask why are you being so difficult?”
After hearing those words, you knew this was going to veer off sideways. Almost everyone’s eyes were glued to the scene unfolding, all looking up from the windows and screen to see two men ‘bickering’ it out.
“Difficult? What do you mean, I was here first.” It seemed like the man had issues already, as he started to flail his hands around.
“My wife is pregnant, if you didn’t hear the first time. You’re sat in a priority seat, which where she should be sitting. Are you disabled?”
He was getting defensive. It was crystal clear that the man was not disabled, nor pregnant at that matter.
“..um no? But that doesn’t mean anything. I’m not giving up my seat for some cripple.”
A cripple?!
That’s it, Satoru had had enough and was desperate to split this man in half. Not a single person could insult you because he would already be on them like a hawk.
Anyways, the fact that the nasty being had called you a cripple, couldn’t help but make you feel a little too much like a burden, and your gaze saddened.
“You’ve gone too far. No-one. Absolutely no-one, is to offend my wife like that. So, jackass, vanish any place other so she can sit.”
“Or else?—”
“There is no ‘or else’ fool. You’ve already screwed the wrong person, so I suggest you move. Don’t do something stupid.”
The man, looking quite intimated, eventually got up and sulked off past the two of you.
“Thanks.” Satoru fake smiled, stalking him ‘till he had gone else where, far away from you.
All this drama had made you forgot about the achy pain surfacing your body, which immediately flowed back as realisation hit you.
“..oof-” It had subconsciously left your lips, and it made Satoru’s brows cross.
“Here you go my love. Is it hurting?”
He concernedly asked, holding your velvet hands as you lowered your rear on the much-needed seat.
“I’ll be fine, just what I needed.” You smiled back at him, tucking a stray hair behind you ear as you breathed out.
“I’m glad. Some morons just think they are ‘entitled’.”

hi jadey! if you are up for it, do you think you could write reader unexpectedly doing smth nice for coworker!james, maybe she’s being kind of shy and trying not to make it a big deal while he’s trying v hard to not be all giggly heart eyes kiss kiss at her LOL thank you in advance and ilysm <3
tysm ilysm <3 fem
“Hey, killer.”
You sidestep past James bag into the nook of your desk. “Killer?” you ask, quick to drop your bag onto your chair and unbutton your coat.
“Beth told me you killed a spider in the break room. That’s not cool.”
“It was looking at me funny.” You shed your coat. “Where’s Remus?”
“Coffee.”
James doesn’t give you half as much attention as you’d wanted, turning back to his computer with an impassive expression. You swallow a cough and grab your bag, desk chair creaking as you sit. There’s a memo from Remus already tacked to your desk that asks you nicely to send him a long list of files, each written in careful print, and then a second that says good morning.
You smile at it and set them aside.
Though James doesn’t like you much, and you’re not totally sold on him, you’re starting to feel like you’re part of a team. It’s a hearty feeling to belong somewhere, to know you’re valuable, even if you’re only punching numbers in and swapping spreadsheets. So you’d seen the green tube boxes in the shops and you’d decided on a whim to get them. Perhaps it would inspire some sweetness from James. If he stops putting your mug in the freezer, you’ll be happy.
“I got you something.”
James tilts his head to the side but doesn’t look up. “Huh?”
The office lights aren’t as complimentary to his brown skin as the sun where it’s rising outside of your window. It warms his face and neck, and lightens the dark mop of his hair, his flyaways like silver scrapings.
You take one of the boxes from your bag and place it on the edge of his desk. You’ll give the second to Remus when he comes back.
“It’s one of your Smiskis,” you say, “but they’re exercise ones. I know you lift weights, there’s one with dumbbells. I want the hula hoop one.”
“Where did you get this?” he asks, looking at you with clear surprise. His thick brows rise. His smile is unmissable.
“They were three for two at Sainsbury’s. I got one for me and one for Remus, as well.”
James curls a lovely hand around the box. You pretend not to watch, quickly diverting your gaze to your bag to grab a Smiski for yourself. You can’t look up, can’t explain why on earth you thought it would be a good idea, really. You saw them and you thought of him and you’re entitled to lie about the two for three thing, it’s none of his business how much money you spend.
You dig your nail into the lid and rip it open.
“You look awfully smiley, Jamie,” Remus greets, approaching from your side to round the desks and place down his big mug of coffee. You chance a glance at the both of them and catch a half second of James’ ridiculous smile. “What made you so happy so early in the morning?”
“Nothing. Uh, just killer over here brought us some presents.” James tips the bag from inside of his box onto the desk mat.
“Really?” Remus asks.
You offer him his box over your monitors.
“Thank you,” he says. “What’s the occasion?”
“It’s nothing,” you say with a hurried shake of the head, looking down at your own mystery Smiski. They’re nondescript little people who glow with a green UV sheen, and you hadn’t seen the appeal to begin with, but each morning you make sure to fix James’ if he’s toppled over. He never tells you off for it. “I just want one for myself, that’s all.”
You open them in tandem. Your figurine is sitting with its legs out in a v-shape and arms stretching down to its toes. Remus’ is slightly smaller perched on a yoga ball. James, apparently having all the luck in the world, unveils a Smiski struggling to lift a dumbbell from the ground.
“I love him,” you say with a pleased laugh.
“He’s brilliant,” Remus says.
“Thank you so much.”
Your smile gets caught on your mouth. James’ tone isn’t strange but unfamiliar —he speaks without a hint of irony. His grin is full of an emotion you don’t recognise. Too happy. Too friendly.
“You’re welcome,” you say.
They’re both kind enough to ignore your mild breathlessness. “No, seriously, thank you, she’s so cool. I didn’t know we could get these ones yet over here.” James puts his weightlifting Smiski in pride of place atop his outgoings. “Sirius is going to be jealous. I'm sending him a photo.”
You feel Remus’ eyes on you. He stares until you look at him, eyebrows wriggling. “Thank you for my toy,” he says.
“They’re not toys, lovely Moony, they’re figurines,” James says, leaning down and angling his phone. He snaps a few photos from different positions. He can’t seem to stop smiling. “Aw, look at her. She’s sick as hell. She’s gonna get so swole.”
You wrinkle your nose and sweep your rubbish into the wastebasket. Swole isn’t the word you’d use. Ever. But if it makes him happy…
“This is the best thing that’s happened to me all week,” James mumbles to himself, before clearing his throat extra thoroughly. “This doesn’t change the fact that you killed that poor spider, you know. What was it doing to you?”
“I crushed her by accident opening a cupboard door.”
“Likely story.”

The afternoon air was cool as you make your way across campus, the sun lazily sinking behind the student center.
You're walking to Geto’s shared apartment to finish the last details of your end-of-semester presentation for your public health class.
You weren’t nervous—after weeks of working on the project, things were going smoothly. Especially with Geto, who you'd surprisingly clicked with.
He turned out to be surprisingly down-to-earth for a business major.
As you approach the apartment complex, the brunette's warning from earlier in the week echoes in your mind.
“You’ll probably meet my roommate at some point,” he had said, scratching the back of his neck. “Just... heads up. Gojo’s a bit much. He thinks everyone falls in love with him, so don’t be surprised if he—”
You waved him off, laughing it off at the time. A guy with a reputation for being cocky wasn’t exactly news.
You’d dealt with enough overconfident people before, and you weren’t about to let someone like Gojo get under your skin.
The door swings open before you can even knock, revealing Geto standing there dressed casually in a hoodie and joggers.
His dark hair pulled back in its usual neat bun as he gave you a small smile, stepping aside to let you in.
"Hey, come on in," he said, his voice smooth as usual. The apartment smelled faintly clean and expensive—probably whatever brand of cologne they both wore.
It was neat and minimal, with modern furniture and just enough personality to show that two guys lived here but weren’t obsessed with keeping it pristine.
As you dropped your backpack onto the table and prepared to dive into your notes, footsteps stomp down the hall.
You glance at Geto who released as if he knew what was coming.
“Yo, Suguru!” A voice loudly rang before the person even appeared. “You got any more—”
The moment he stepped into the room, his sentence stops once his gaze locks on you.
Tall and broad-shouldered, dressed in sweatpants that slung low on his hips and a t-shirt clinging to his lean frame—Gojo Satoru had a presence of someone who was used to being noticed.
His white hair was an unruly mess, and his blue eyes gleamed with immediate interest as he took you in.
“Well, well, what do we have here?” his voice had a teasing tone as he casually leaned against the doorframe with crossed arms.
There it was—the swagger, the cocky smirk, the way he took his sweet time taking you in. You could hear Geto’s silent groan beside you.
Gojo didn’t stop there.
"So..." He stepped forward, sliding his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants as he made his way around the couch. “You’re the one making Suguru's grades look good, huh? Damn, he didn’t tell me you'd be this cute tho."
His voice is smooth—almost too smooth. You couldn’t help the slight snort that escaped before you caught yourself.
Clearly this isn't the first time he's tried to charm someone within five seconds of meeting them.
It’s like he’s on autopilot, throwing out compliments without a second thought as if he's sure they'll land. Maybe they did.
"Cute huh?" you replied, voice flat but not unfriendly. “Unfortunately for him, I’m just here for the project. Not to boost anyone’s grades.”
Gojo’s grin didn’t falter—if anything it widened, like he had just been given a new challenge.
He stepped closer, leaning against the back of the couch now, his eyes never leaving yours.
“Oh, I get it,” his tone dips slightly, lowering his voice he as if letting you in on a secret. “You’ve heard about me, haven’t you? That’s why you’re playing hard to get.”
You glanced at Geto, who was already flipping through his textbook as if to distance himself from the unfolding situation. Gee, thanks.
Rolling your eyes, you turn back at Gojo with an unimpressed look.
"Boy please. I ain't playin nothing.” your tone is dry, cutting. "Simply don't have time for dudes who think they're God's gift to women. So save it for someone else."
His smirk falters for just a second, you see a flicker within his eyes—surprise maybe? Amusement? Whatever it was, it vanishes as quick as it had appeared.
There’s a spark of challenge in his gaze now. He straightens up tilting his head playfully.
“Cold, huh?” Gojo chuckled softly. “I like that about you.”
You scoff, more amused than annoyed.
Geto, sensing the moment had stretched on long enough, finally spoke up. “She’s not interested man,” he says, tone casual with a hint of warning. “And we’ve got work to do, so...”
Gojo wasn’t fazed. He just laughed again, raising his hands in mock surrender. “Alright, alright. I’m just being friendly. Don’t mind me.”
But of course he doesn’t leave.
Instead he moves around to the opposite side of the table, grabbing a snack from the counter as he watches the two of you work.
Every now and then, you could feel his gaze flicker in your direction—lingering just long enough for you to notice.
You sighed. This guy was going to be a problem.
After a few minutes of him loitering in the kitchen, Gojo finally tossed the empty snack wrapper into the trash and pushed off from the counter.
“Think Imma leave you two nerds at it. But hey,—” he pauses his trek down the hall, voice lowering just slightly as he gives you one last look. “Don’t be a stranger, kay?”
You didn’t respond, just waving him off to focusing back on your laptop. Only once you heard his bedroom door click shut did you let out the breath you hadn’t realized you were holding.
Geto glanced up at you, the barest hint of a smile on his face. “Told you he was a bit much.”
You snort with a shake of your head. “A bit?”
As much as you tried to shrug it off, you had a feeling this wouldn’t be the last time you crossed paths with him.
Though you didn't worry too much, you had no time for guys like Gojo—no matter how much money he had or how attractive he might be.
'He can try all he wants' , you think as your fingers fly over the keyboard. 'But I’m not interested.'
════════════════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═════════════════
The days after your first encounter with Gojo Satoru felt like a game of cat-and-mouse.
No matter where you went on campus, it seemed like Gojo wasn’t far behind—sliding into your space with a smug grin like he belonged there.
You hadn’t expected him to be so relentless, especially after you shut him down at their apartment. If anything, it seemed to motivate him more.
He seemed to thrive on the challenge of someone not immediately falling for his charm. And Gojo wasn’t subtle about it.
Not at all.
You had left lecture hall and went to the courtyard to review your notes when a familiar presence loomed next to you.
You didn’t even need to look up to know who it was—there was an energy about Gojo that was impossible to ignore.
“Hey, stranger,” he greeted smoothly in that teasing voice that had (unfortunately) started to become annoyingly familiar.
He dropped into the seat next to you, long legs stretched out as if he owned the place.
Without sparing a glance you sighed. “Pretty sure I told you I’m not interested,” you replied, tone flat as your eyes remained glued to your notes.
You didn’t have to see his face to know he was smiling. He chuckled, leaning back in his chair like he had all the time in the world. “Interested in what? I’m just sitting here. Coulda sworn it’s a free campus...”
You shot him a sideways look. He was grinning—of course he was—and that lazy confidence radiated off him like heat.
His nonchalance was infuriating, but at the same time there was something undeniably charming about it.
You'd heard (and even witnessed) a few stories about Gojo Satoru—the endless flings, the parties, the girls who lined up for a shot with him
And yet here he was, fixated on you.
It didn’t make sense. You weren’t falling for his charm but he still kept coming back for more.
“I’m not buying it,” you muttered, finally turning to face him. “I know your type. You’re used to getting whatever you want.”
His grin widened as he leaned in, his eyes dropping to your lips. “Not everything, apparently.”
Your heart did a little flip at that, but you pushed the feeling down with a roll of your eyes.
There was no way you were going to let him get to you, no matter how persistent he was.
*.·:·.☽✧✧☾.·:·.*
It didn’t stop there.
That same evening as you walked from the library, your phone buzzed, a notification lighting up your screen.
Snapchat: Gojo Satoru has added you.
Of course he did.
With a resigned sigh you unlock the phone with half a mind to leave him on read. But curiosity got the better of you, and you tapped the notification.
A message popped up almost instantly.
Gojo: Saw you at the library today. Looking cute, as usual.
You couldn’t help the soft scoff that escaped you. Another message followed quickly after:
Gojo: We should hang sometime. I know a place that does the best sushi. My treat.
He really wasn’t going to give up, was he? Your fingers hover over the keyboard before you shot back a quick response:
You: Not interested.
But as soon as you sent it, another message from him appeared—almost like he had been waiting for it.
Gojo: Lol, sure. You keep saying that, but I know you’ll come around ;)
You locked your phone with a huff, shoving it back into your bag as you continued your walk to the dorms.
It was irritating how effortlessly confident he was, like he already knew the outcome before you did.
And the worst part? There was a tiny part of you—the smallest flicker—that couldn’t help but anticipate the next encounter.
════════════════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═════════════════
And yet it wasn’t just over text. No matter where you went, Gojo found a way to insert himself into your day.
Whether it was him casually appearing in the food court while you grabbed lunch or running into him on the way to class, he was everywhere.
Like today for example: you were sitting just outside the university center, enjoying a rare quiet moment between classes as you listened to music.
The peace didn’t last long.
Gojo dropped down into the seat beside you without a word, plucking one of your earbuds out of your ear before you had a chance to stop him.
“What’re we listening to today?” he asked, popping the earbud into his ear without waiting for permission. He nodded along to the song, grinning in that infuriatingly charming way. “Not bad. You’ve got taste.”
You snatched the earbud back with a glare. “Ever heard of boundaries?”
“Sure,” Gojo replied, leaning back casually, completely unfazed. “But where’s the fun in that?”
He was close—too close—and you could feel the heat radiating off him as he shifted in his seat, his knee brushing lightly against yours.
It sent a shiver up your spine, and you hated how he seemed to sense it.
“I’ve been meaning to ask...” His voice dropped slightly, almost conspiratorial. “I know you like Chanel right? I saw you eyeing that bag at the mall last week.”
You froze for a second, caught off guard.
"How the hell you know that?" you asked, immediately suspicious. Had he followed you there?
You try to brush it off, muttering, "I was just lookin’. Ain’t got money for stuff like that."
Gojo flashed you a softer grin, one that almost looked genuine—if it wasn’t for the cocky undertone beneath it.
“Good thing you’ve got me then,” he said, voice smooth and tempting. “I could get it for you. Whatever you want, it’s yours.”
You stared at him for a moment, the offer hanging in the air between you. You eyes hardened.
You weren’t some girl who could be bought off with expensive gifts. You weren’t like the girls who chased him at parties or slid into his DMs, hoping for a piece of his attention.
“No thanks,” you said sharply.. “I’m not one of those girls you can buy off, Gojo.”
For a brief moment his expression faltered. But just as quickly the mask of confidence slipped back into place.
“Didn’t say you were. Just offering.,” he replied, that playful edge returning to his tone. “Doesn’t hurt to spoil someone every now and then, right?”
You turn away refusing to engage any further. Though you couldn't stop the flutter in your chest, heart beating a little too fast for your liking.
There was a small part of you—the part that liked nice things and had never really been able to afford them—that was tempted.
But you knew better. You weren’t going to fall for it.
You had worked too hard for everything in your life to let someone like Gojo sweep in and make you forget who you were.
════════════════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═════════════════
You were in the library one afternoon, hunched over your notes trying to finish an assignment when you felt a familiar presence looming over you.
Without even looking up you sighed. “I already told you, I’m not interested.”
Gojo chuckled as he slid into the chair across from you, completely ignoring your dismissal. “You keep saying that, but you’re still talking to me.”
You sent a glare. He wasn’t wrong—you hadn’t exactly cut him off.
Despite your best efforts, Gojo managed to worm his way into your life. And the worst part?
A tiny part of you was starting to enjoy it.
"Maybe I'm just waiting for you to get bored and move on," you shot back lacking the conviction you wanted.
Gojo's eyes glinted with amusement. "Bored? With you? Nah, you're different." he said after a moment, his voice quieter. "I like that about you."
For a second you were caught off guard. But you didn't have time to dwell on it.
Because just as quickly, he was back to his usual self, winking as he leaned back.
“Don’t worry,” he added, his voice laced with playful confidence. “I’m not going anywhere.”
You weren’t sure if you wanted him to.
════════════════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═════════════════
The party was in full swing by the time you arrived; music pounded through the packed house as people danced, drank, and shouted over the blaring bass.
You had been invited by Geto, the calm and collected male becoming more of a close friend than just a project partner.
Despite the promise you made to yourself to avoid parties like this, you figured it would be a nice way to let loose for once. Finals were near and honestly, you needed the distraction.
You had been doing a pretty good job of avoiding Gojo for the past few days. His persistent flirting, his smug confidence—it was all too much.
But tonight wasn’t about him. Tonight you were determined to just have a good time.
It didn’t take long for you to fall into the rhythm of the party.
You found yourself chatting with a guy you vaguely recognized from one of your classes away from the chaos of the dance floor.
He was cute—nice smile, easygoing—and for once, you let yourself enjoy the conversation.
Just as you started relax you caught a flicker of movement out of the corner of your eye. It was subtle at first, but enough to make you pause.
And then, there he was—Gojo Satoru.
He spotted you almost immediately, those familiar blue eyes locking onto you through the crowd.
His expression was unreadable for a moment, but as soon as he saw the guy standing next to you, his jaw tightened just slightly.
He didn’t bother hiding his irritation, but the way he handled it threw you off. Instead of marching over, Gojo leaned against the wall across the room, watching.
The beat of Skilla Baby's Mama thumped through the speakers, the lyrics booming across the house. As the chorus hit, Gojo’s eyes never left yours.
He didn’t approach yet, but his gaze was electric.
And when the lyrics came—“Yeah, I heard you got a man, but it's alright, mama (alright),”—he gave a nod, almost as if confirming what you already knew.
He tilted his head back slightly, mouthing the words to the chorus: “Bae, you know you the coldest.”
You felt heat creep up your neck in response. Gojo didn’t have to say anything—his meaning was clear. He wasn’t just here to win you over anymore.
He was here to make sure you understood no one else could compete with him. No one else could treat you like he could.
And that’s when he started moving.
Without missing a beat, Gojo strolled through the crowd like he owned the place (in a way he kind of did), making a beeline for you.
The guy you’d been talking to didn’t even notice, but you sure did. The closer Gojo got, the more the tension thickened until it felt like you were holding your breath.
You hated how your body reacted to his presence, the way your pulse quickened the second he was close.
“Hey,” he greeted, smooth as ever with an edge to it that wasn’t there before. He didn’t even spare the other guy a glance, all his focus on you. “Enjoying the party?”
Your grip tightened around your drink in attempt to steady yourself. “Yeah, I was.”
Gojo’s smile didn’t quite reach his eyes as he glanced at the guy again, finally acknowledging him.
“Sure, but...” He leaned in. “C’mon, you really gonna waste time with him when you know I could treat you right?”
You didn’t look at him right away, hoping the guy next to you would step back in and restart the conversation. But it was too late.
Gojo’s presence had already made him uncomfortable. And before you knew it, the guy mumbled about getting another drink before disappearing into the crowd.
You shot him a look. “Really?”
Gojo just shrugged, the faintest smirk pulling at the corners of his lips. “What? You seemed bored. Figured I’d help you out.”
“You mean chase him off?”
He stepped closer, and this time, there was no one between you.
“C’mon,” Gojo murmured. “You know he wasn’t your type.” His voice was low, but not in that typical teasing tone.
This time, there was something else—something more serious.
Your heart thudded as his words lingered in the air. The bass-heavy song continued to pulse through the room, but it felt like the rest of the party had melted away.
It was just you and Gojo now, the tension building with every passing second. And he knew it.
“I don’t know what you’re trying to prove,” you said, crossing your arms over your chest, though it was more to stop yourself from reaching out than anything else. “I’m not interested in being some kind of prize for you to win.”
Gojo’s expression softened, though his eyes still held that playful glint.
He stepped even closer, his voice dropping just above a whisper. “I’m not trying to win a prize. I’m trying to get to know you.”
You blinked at the sudden shift in his tone. It wasn’t like him to be this direct.
“I don’t believe you,” you said, though your voice lacked the bite you wanted it to have.
Gojo’s gaze softened even more, and he reached out, fingers brushing against your arm.
“I get it. You think I’m just here flirting. But you’re different, and I...” He hesitated, searching for the right words. “I like that you make me work for it.”
Your breath caught, the sincerity in his voice catching you completely off guard.
Gojo Satoru, the guy who never had to try for anything, was standing here before you, confessing he was willing to put in the effort.
The weight of it settled over you as you began to see him differently—not just as the arrogant flirt, but as someone who was starting to care.
He must’ve seen the hesitation in your eyes because he smiled softly, the cockiness from earlier melting into something warmer.
“Look, I know I can be... a lot.” He chuckled with a nervous scratch at the back of his neck. “But I’m not going anywhere, okay? I’m serious about you.”
The music continued to thump around you, but it felt distant now. You weren’t sure what to say.
Part of you wanted to believe him. But the other part—the one that had built walls around itself—was still afraid to let him in.
“Look...you wanna get out of here?” he didn’t sound as flippant as usual. “I can walk you home.”
Though you were unsure, the way he was looking at you right now that told you this wasn’t about a quick fling or proving a point.
For once, Gojo wasn’t trying to win. He was just trying.
You nodded before you could stop yourself. “Okay.”
*.·:·.☽✧✧☾.·:·.*
The walk back to your place was quiet, the night air cool against your skin as the sounds of the party faded into the distance.
Gojo stayed close, but not too close, his usual bravado tempered.
Every now and then his shoulder would brush against yours, and the touch was grounding, almost reassuring.
For once he wasn’t trying to impress you with flashy words or grand gestures. He was just there, walking next to you in comfortable silence.
When you finally reached your door you expected some kind of last-minute line, flirty and smooth to cap off the night. But Gojo surprised you.
“I meant what I said earlier,” he began, leaning against the doorframe as he looked down at you. “You’re different. You’re not like the others.”
You gave him a skeptical look, but he shook his head before you could say anything.
“I’m serious. I’ve never had to work this hard for anyone,” Gojo admitted. “And... I like that. You don’t care about any of the stuff most people do.”
There was a sincerity that made your heart skip a beat. He was letting his guard down, just a little, but it was enough to make you pause.
You didn’t know what to say at first, the usual walls you’d built around yourself trembling.
“A-and I know you think I'm saying this just to get in your pants or whatever,” Gojo interrupts before you can say anything, “but... it’s more than that. I like you. For real.”
You looked at him, really looked at him.
There was something real beneath it all and it scared you a little, because part of you had already started to fall for him—no matter how much you tried to fight it.
So instead of pulling away, you stepped closer.
“I’m still not convinced,” you say with a smile tugging at the corners of your lips. “But...maybe I’m willing to see where this goes.”
Gojo’s grin returned in full force, eyes lighting up with hope as he nodded. “That’s all I ask.”
He turned to leave, but before he did, he glanced back over his shoulder, playful grin returning. “I’ll see you tomorrow, right?”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help the warmth spreading through your chest. “Yeah, yeah. I’ll see you.”
The next morning, as you left class, you weren’t surprised to see Gojo standing outside with a smile.
Without a word, he fell in step beside you and handed over a cup of [beverage].
It wasn’t extravagant or flashy, just a simple cup of [beverage]—was exactly how you liked it.
You raised an eyebrow at him, taking a sip. “This is new.”
Gojo shrugged, his smile easy and warm. “Told you I’d convince you.”
You shook your head. Maybe, just maybe, Gojo Satoru wasn’t so bad after all.
And for the first time, you let yourself smile back.

Birthday Boy
Masterlist
𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚 — You surprise Kylian for his birthday.
𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 — Kylian Mbappé x you
𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕 — 2k
Warnings! FLUFF, birthday boyy, cute reader, insecurities, the request basically covers the rest,
Fuck.
You weren't ready for this.
You're really not ready for this. You don't know how to do any of this. But it was his birthday, and you knew he would be upset if you didn't get him anything. He deserves something special though.
You're standing in his apartment, nervously fidgeting with the hem of your shirt. You have no idea what time he's going to be home from training, but it couldn't be too long now.
You have a few gifts for him, and you're really proud of them. Well, proud wasn't exactly the word. Nervous was more like it. He might hate them, and that would be really embarrassing.
You looked at the clock on the wall and gasp when you realized what the time was. He's going to be home any minute now. You quickly run to the kitchen, hiding behind the counter with all of his gifts on it. You hold your breath and hope that you won't make a fool of yourself.
You heard the door open and his footsteps as he walks into the living room. You slowly peer around the corner and see him looking at you in confusion.
“Hey, are you alright? Why are you hiding behind the counter?” he asks, walking towards you.
You blush and look down, playing with the hem of your shirt again. “Happy B-Birthday! I-I got you some gifts,” you stammer out, trying to sound cheerful but failing miserably.
He looks at you in surprise, face lighting up in excitement. “You got me presents?!” he exclaims, running to you and pulling you out from behind the counter.
He spins you around so you're facing him and then pulls you into a hug, lifting you off the ground. “Thank you, trésor,” he whispers in your ear.
You blush and smile shyly, hugging him back.
He sets you back on your feet and pulls away slightly to look at you. “Why are you blushing so much?” he asks, a smile on his lips.
You bite your lip and look away from him. “I just don't know if you're going to like them,” you mumble, looking down at your feet. You look up to see him looking at you curiously.
“What makes you think I won't like them?” he asks, looking confused.
“I-I don't know,” you reply, looking back down at your feet. “Well, they're not that expensive or anything. So you might not like them.”
He laughs, a soft smile on his face. “That doesn't matter at all,” he says, grabbing your hand and tugging you towards the counter. He lets go of your hand and pulls all the gifts over in front of you. “Tell me about these,” he asks, sitting down at the counter and gesturing for you to sit next to him. You do as he says, biting your lip.
He picks up the first gift, which is wrapped in green wrapping paper. “This one is just some candy,” you mumble, watching him tear the paper off. He opens the box and smiles widely when he sees the chocolate inside.
“Mmm, I love chocolate,” he says, popping one of the chocolates into his mouth.
Next he picks up a small, blue box. “This is some new headphones,” you explain, watching as he opens the box and pulls out the headphones.
“Cool, I needed some new ones,” he replies, putting them on and fiddling with them for a second. “I love them!” he exclaims, smiling at you.
You bite your lip again as he reaches for the final gift, which is a small, white box. He opens it and pulls out a shirt. His eyes widen when he sees what's on it, and he looks at you in shock.
“You made this?” he asks, staring at the shirt in disbelief.
You nod your head shyly, biting your lip. “Y-Yeah,” you mumble.
He holds the shirt up and smiles, looking at the drawing on it. He'd drawn a picture of him and the Eiffel tower in the background. The picture had 'Happy Birthday' written above it in swirly letters.
“Trésor, I love it,” he whispers, looking at you in awe. “Can I wear it now?”
You nod your head excitedly, watching as he pulls off his shirt and puts on the new one. He turns around to face you and smiles. You blush and look away from him, fidgeting with your hands. He walks towards you and lifts your chin up with his hand so that you're looking at him.
“I love it,” he repeats. “Thank you.”
You bite your lip and smile shyly, nodding your head.
He pulls you into a hug and kisses your forehead. “Thank you so much, trésor,” he whispers in your ear.
You blush and hug him back, smiling. You can feel his heart beating against your chest, and you have to suppress a sigh. He smells amazing. He always smells amazing. Like home. Like a warm hug on a cold day. You love how he smells.
He pulls away from you slightly and kisses your lips softly. “I'll be right back, I need to call my family,” he says, kissing your lips again before turning and walking towards the couch.
You watch him go, biting your lip and blushing. You turn and walk into the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water out of the fridge and sitting at the counter to drink it. You look out the window, watching as the sun sets behind the Eiffel tower in the distance. You sigh happily, smiling. It's so pretty. You could get used to seeing that every night.
Kylian sits on the couch, watching as you drink your water. He can't help but smile as he watches you. you are so cute. He looks down at the shirt he's wearing and his heart flutters. It was so adorable. He had never met anyone who could draw as well as you could. It was perfect.
He pulls out his phone and dials Ethan's number, waiting for him to answer. He picks up on the first ring. "Happy birthday, bro!" Ethan exclaims.
Kylian laughs and leans back against the couch. "Merci, merci. Where's mom? I tried calling her earlier but she didn't answer." he asks. It hurt him not to spend his birthday with his family this year.
He's been so busy lately that he's barely had time for anything but football. He was starting to get homesick. Which is why he's so grateful for you. You keep him company and keep his mind off of missing his family.
"She's right here, I'll go get her. So how did you celebrate your birthday?" Ethan asks, sounding excited.
Kylian smiles and looks over at you. "I haven't yet," he replies, watching as you stand up and walk towards the kitchen. "But Y/N got me some amazing gifts. I'm so happy."
Ethan laughs on the other end of the line. "Aww, that's so sweet! What did she get you?"
Kylian grins as he tells Ethan about all the gifts you got him. He can hear his brother making sounds of amazement and excitement as he talks. "And then there was this one shirt," Kylian starts. "She made it herself."
"Wait, what? That's awesome!" Ethan exclaims. "Show me."
Kylian laughs and places the phone on the coffe table, standing up to show Ethan the shirt. He hears Ethan gasp in surprise and smile. "Wow, she really made that?"
"Yeah, I know," Kylian says, sitting back down on the couch. "It's amazing."
He hears Ethan laugh. "She's so cute! You should propose to her already!"
Kylian laughs. "Ethan, she's been my girlfriend for like eight months," he replies. "I'm not proposing yet."
"Aww, come on," Ethan pouts. "You know you want to."
Kylian sighs and rolls his eyes. "Shut up," he replies, laughing.
His mother's figure approches the phone. "Is that Kylian I hear?"
He grins. "Oui, maman," he replies, eyes tearing up slightly at the sight of her. He misses her so much.
She smiles widely. "Bonjour, mon amour," she says, leaning forward so that he can see her better.
He smiles at her and reaches out to touch the screen. "Bonjour, maman," he repeats, voice shaking slightly.
His mother's smile falters for a second when she sees his face, and then it's back to normal. "Are you okay, baby?" she asks.
Kylian nods his head. "Oui, I'm fine. Just a bit homesick," he explains. "But Y/N is keeping me company and making sure I don't miss you guys too much."
His mom nods her head. "Oh good, I'm glad she's there for you," she says. "How was your day? Did you have any fun?" she asks, smiling.
"Not really," he replies, sighing. "We were training all day, and it was exhausting. I'm glad it's finally over and I get a break. But Y/N got me some amazing gifts," he adds, holding up the shirt. "She made this one herself."
His mom's eyes widen in surprise as she stares at the shirt. "Wow, that's beautiful," she exclaims, smiling. "You must have been a good boyfriend," she teases.
Kylian laughs. "I try my best," he replies, grinning.
His mom laughs. "I know you do, baby. You deserve someone who loves you like that." Kylian nods his head, thinking about you. You do love him. He knows that. It's not hard to tell when you look at him the way you do. And he hopes you never stop. Because he can't imagine living without you.
"I have to go, maman," he says after a few minutes. "But I love you and I'll talk to you later," he adds, smiling.
His mom nods her head and smiles. "I love you too, mon amour," she replies, leaning forward to kiss the screen. Kylian smiles and kisses back before saying goodbye and hanging up.
He looks over at you and smiles when he sees you walking towards him. "I love you," he says as you sit next to him. You blush and smile shyly. "I love you too," you reply. And you do. So much it hurts sometimes. But it's a good kind of hurt. A happy kind of hurt.
And you know you'll never stop loving him. Never stop loving him and cherishing him. He's your everything. Your soulmate. Your heart. And you're his. And that's all that matters. That's all that will ever matter.
"So…How are we celebrating tonight?" He asks you. You smile and shrug. "I don't know, whatever you want to do" you reply. Kylian laughs and pulls you into his lap, kissing you softly. You blush and kiss him back, wrapping your arms around his neck. He pulls away slightly and smiles at you.
"What do you think about going out to eat somewhere nice?" he asks. You shrug and nod your head, smiling.
"I would love to," you reply.
Kylian grins and kisses you again. "Let me call for a reservation," he says, pulling away from you and standing up. You watch as he walks over to the counter and pulls out his phone.
You sit on the couch and wait for him to make the call. You can't help but smile as you listen to him talk. He's so adorable when he's concentrating on something. You lean forward and rest your head on your hands, watching him.
He hangs up a minute later and turns to smile at you. "I got a reservation at a nice restaurant for 8," he says, walking over to you and pulling you to your feet. "So let's get ready," he adds, leading you towards the bedroom.
You smile and follow him, already excited for tonight. You know it will be amazing. Everything is always amazing with Kylian. He always makes sure of it. And he always will. He loves you too much not to. He'll always do anything to make you happy. And you'll do the same for him. Anything to make him happy.
And that's how it should be. That's what love is. It's happiness and smiles and laughter. It's Kylian's arms around you and his lips on yours. It's everything good and pure in the world.
It's all that matters.
It's all you'll ever need.
Kylian.
Kylian.
Kylian.
Forever.

i saw your requests were open temporarily, may i request a first kiss with jayce ? i think it'd be cute. i hope youve been well !
I have been well, thanks for asking! Life's crazy because I'm getting ready to move.
DEFINITELY CUTE. I want to smooch him. I wasn't sure if you meant his first kiss, the reader's first kiss, or their first kiss together, so I just knocked down two targets and hoped for the best 🙈. Hope you enjoy!
Jayce x Reader | 962 | SFW
Contains: bad group projects, falling asleep on someone, and some sweet sweet smoochin.
Jayce stiffens as your jaw comes to rest against his shoulder, hands freezing their progress. Chancing a glance down, he confirms that yeah, you’re out cold.
It's another late night at the Academy, spent doing curriculum work instead of work that could change the world someday. Jayce was fighting with a tricky relay of copper fittings. You'd finished your share of the project twenty minutes ago, both the clean copy of delicately illustrated schematics and all the vocal presentation bits that Jayce dreaded.
Nobody likes group projects. Jayce knows he isn't out of the ordinary there. He just can't help but feel that it grates on him more than the average student, faced with the fact that most of his peers didn't actually care about discovery. They just cared about making themselves look good.
Not you, though. He'd only shared classes with you this semester, but you were always fair in your division of the work.
And you were one of the only people who seemed to be able to stand his… candidness, always laughing it off when he’d get frustrated with the pace, being slowed down by others.
‘It’ll get done either way, slow or not.’ You'd been smiling at him so sweetly when you'd said that, despite the fact that he knew he had been nothing but irritated and fussy. Your patience had left him stricken with… something.
Jayce decides to leave you be, asleep on his shoulder. This project wouldn't have been a problem if the rest of your group members had anything to offer except slapdash efforts and excuses, leaving the two of you with the brunt of the work.
Tonight, Jayce is the one slowing you down, grumbling his way through fixing the shoddy work your other partners had put forward and finishing the things they had neglected to do entirely. To get this project up to his usual standards…
It’s eating up far too much time. The least he can do is let you rest a bit.
---
Your pillow is talking.
“Finally. Alright, I’ve got it dialed in so the fluid can actually cycle through all of the cooling chambers even as a prototype – the professor should be impressed. This is almost professional quality, so our marks should be flawless.”
Your pillow also smells incredibly good, nice and warm, so you elect to ignore it and nuzzle deeper.
“Are you listening?” – it sounds incredibly put out – “Hey. Wake up, we can go home now.”
Blearily, you blink your eyes open and find yourself caught up in Jayce’s gaze, the low lamplight reflecting off the gold of his eyes and revealing him peering down at you, close and tired and dare you say – almost fond looking.
This close you can see every last eyelash, and how his stubble is starting to come in from the late hour on the alluring curve of his jaw. Despite the bags under his eyes, they’re bright and satisfied, his face almost glowing, the way it always does when he’s worked hard and made something perfect.
In fact, you can almost feel that glow on your skin. When did he get so warm? His ears are starting to get red.
That little detail reminds you just how close your faces have become, but a sleepy contentedness has drizzled its way into your joints, and you can’t bring yourself to pull away.
He’s just so –
“You’re really lovely when you’re making progress, you know that? It opens you up,” you sigh, still half dreaming, watching the flush spill across his face.
Jayce is too busy looking at your mouth to respond, his own ever so slightly parted.
Were you not half asleep, you probably never would have chanced it. But the way he was looking at you almost lost, how close he was –
It felt natural, to wriggle in closer, tilt up your jaw invitingly.
You catch the way his brows shoot up just as your eyes slip shut, and your mouth slots perfectly against his, slow and –
And unmoving. A little shocked stiff. Jayce makes a funny little noise in the back of his throat, something aching and perhaps a touch confused.
You jolt back, suddenly a whole lot more awake. “Sorry. Wow, sorry, I should have asked first –”
“It’s fine,” Jayce cuts in, a little strangled, busying himself with wrapping the prototype in oilcloth and setting it inside its small crate as an excuse not to meet your eyes. “You were – It was nice, just – I’ve never done that before.”
The end of his sentence leaves him in a rush. If it’s possible, his ears seem even redder now.
“Never?” you echo, a bit disbelieving in the wake of how plush and soft his lips had been against yours.
His shoulders hunch up defensively, looking awfully small for such a large man. “I’m kind of a busy guy, alright?”
Jayce’s fingers snap the clasps shut on the lid of the box, but your brain wrapped itself around the way he’d said your kiss was ‘nice’, and you’re itching to try again, to give him something even nicer to latch on to.
“Too busy to give it another go?”
Jayce’s wide eyes cut over to yours finally, from where he’s tucking the prototype into his satchel.
His fingers loosen on the strap of his bag. “Well. Maybe not,” Jayce mumbles, leaning in close enough for you to close the gap again.
The shuddering exhale Jayce gives you when you bring your lips together this time is everything, your hand coming up to cup his jaw and guide him into the most comfortable angle. His movements are still a bit stilted compared to yours, but he’s mimicking your motions in an incredibly earnest fashion.
You have no doubt he’ll be a quick study.

Fuck-It Friday Coda
Tagged by the amazing @hippolotamus @jesuisici33 @wikiangela and @tizniz (who dropped a whole new fic!) Thank you so much! Hope you all are just as hyped for bi-buck as I am!!!!!!! Not much to say than what's being said everywhere for 7x04. Here is my coda this historic episode and it can be read on ao3 as well. Enjoy!
It’s never really a surprise anymore whenever Buck runs into Tommy at the 118’s favorite hook and ladder bar. Hell, before they broke up, Tommy took him to this bar on a couple dates. Awkward dates but dates all the same.
Buck is waiting for the latest rounds of drinks at the bar when a familiar hand lands on his shoulder, “Hey Evan.”
He whirls around and comes face to face with the very man that opened Buck up to whole new world. “H-h-hey Tommy.” He greets nervously, gaze flickering over to where his team, Maddie, Athena, and some friends from dispatch sat.
Tommy catches it and smirks, “Here with the entire crew huh? What’s the cause for this meet up? Didn’t see or hear about any big Buckley heroics over the radio waves.”
Buck finally catches Eddie attention, and his partner stiffens slightly at the sight of Tommy. They were all still friends, mostly, but after the pilot ended things with Buck, sides were taken… in more ways than one.
“You lied back then. In your loft, before I kissed you.” Tommy stated, staring out the hanger doors, hands shoved deep into his flight suit’s pockets.
Wretchedness gripped Buck’s throat tightly. He knew where this was headed, and for just the briefest moment he wanted to fight it. Fight for what he and Tommy had. “I didn’t lie. I wanted to get to know you, I thought-I still think you are cool, and I just wanted you see that.” His voice was high and tight with the brittle lie.
Tommy shook his head and Buck caught his grimacing smile, “Buck you need to stop lying to yourself and open your damn eyes. I have and you want to know what I saw?” His voice cracked with anguish.
Buck’s lower lip trembled, and he could feel the prickle of tears. He didn’t want to know. He didn’t want to face it. Because if he opened his eyes to what Tommy is seeing, the despair would be 10 times worse than what he’s facing at the time.
Always the bravest of two of them, Tommy scoffed at Buck’s silence and pushed on, “You weren’t vying for my attention. You never have. Evan you never did any sort of chasing in this relationship, I did. I so was blinded by how endearing and open you were about your best friend, that I failed to see you misplacing you’re confused emotions onto the nearest person showing you affection. Me.”
The tears began to flow when Buck shook his head, “No Tommy. I liked you; I just didn’t know about that part of myself until you showed it to me.” He tried defending.
His boyfriend snorted, “Liked. Past. Not present.”
And Buck’s heart dropped into his gut.
Finally, Tommy looked at him and everything in his stomach becomes rancid at the utter heartbreak on the older man’s face, “I’m glad I could help you embrace your bisexuality. Truly I am. I know how freeing it can be. But Evan, those feelings you’ve have for men, for that one special man have always been there and instead of facing them, you took the easy way out with me. And fuck man, it hurts. It really does.”
“Tommy…” Buck started, but Tommy’s hand gripping his wrist silenced him.
“Evan-Buck. Its-well it’s not entirely okay, but you didn’t know or see and neither did I. At least not until you came back from Chim’s bachelor party. You two couldn’t even look each other in the eye and you’ve been off since.”
That’s because he and Eddie got into the biggest fight of their lives during Chimney’s bachelor weekend. Because Eddie had been acting off since Buck came out, even though he promised nothing would change. Because Buck once again became enviously green when Eddie kept his attention on the private bar tender. Because Eddie looked Buck in the eye and asked, ‘Why does he get that part of you?’ in the middle of their screaming match that Buck still has no idea how it started but ended there. Because they both walked away, too scared to confront any of those feelings. Because Buck knew deep down, he wanted to give everything he was giving to Tommy, to Eddie and so much more.
“You are such a wonderful man Buck and I know it was never your intention to hurt anyone. But us being together, it’s destroying me and you and...” Tommy sucked in a sharp breath, “And Eddie.”
And there it was. Everything that Buck has been denying since Tommy confronted him in his loft. The person who was really behind Buck’s complex and confused emotions those few months ago. It was time Buck accepted it. It was time to open his eyes. It was time to let Tommy go.
Buck let out a sob and tugged Tommy into a tight embrace, “I’m sorry, I really am.”
Tommy sniffled, “You have nothing to apologize for Evan.” He pulled back and put Buck at arm’s length, giving him a wet smile, “I was more than honored to be your queer awakening and guru.”
Buck barked out a soggy laugh, “You turned my entire world on its axis man, but in the best way possible.”
“You’re a special one Evan and Eddie… god what you two have and what it can be.” Tommy shook his head chuckling, “I can’t stand in the way of that anymore.”
The younger firefighter stuttered out a breath, “I think that’s more on me than you.” And gets a hum of agreement from his now ex-boyfriend. He stuck a hand out, “Friends?”
Tommy didn’t even hesitate and slapped his own hand into Buck’s, squeezing tight, “Absolutely. Just give me some time, and yourself as well.”
Buck took two days after the break-up to mourn what had been his best relationship to date, to wallow in his unknown carelessness, and to confront those mixed emotions that drew him to Tommy in the first place. Then he packed his duffle and went to work.
Chimney was the first to confront him since Tommy turned down a night out at the karaoke bar and explained that he and Buck broke up. Hen followed because those two paramedics tell each other everything. Bobby reminded Buck that he was willing to listen before giving his shoulder a squeeze. Ravi seemed, relieved, but sympathetic. And Eddie pulled him into the tightest embrace asking, “Why?”
Buck didn’t give him the entire answer. Simply stated, “It wasn’t working.”
Months later Buck gave him the entire truth by taking a page out Tommy’s book and kissing Eddie senseless with a firm grip on his chin. Eddie, who was babbling away in his kitchen about not seeing what was in front of him and desperate to know if Buck is willing to give Eddie every part of himself, kissed Buck back with ferocity. When they pulled apart Buck finally told him why Tommy ended things, “He saw what we were all too scared to look at.”
That was almost a month ago and Buck is deliriously happy with his life, with his boyfriend, with Eddie. He doesn’t need to be weird or nervous around the man that helped lead him here. So, he winks at Eddie, telling him it’s all good, and gives his attention to Tommy. “No big newsworthy rescues. Though Chimney did rescue his 100th cat.”
Tommy shakes his head laughing, “An almost impossible feat.”
“Very much so.” Buck comments, “We’re here to celebrate Maddie’s promotion at dispatch. Officially a supervisor.”
“Hey good for her!” Tommy exclaims, “Honestly surprised it took this long. Her voice seems to be on all the major calls lately.”
Buck nods, “Yea. Would have been a different ending for all of us after the bridge collapse last year if it weren’t for my sister.”
“Man, you Buckley’s and your heroism.”
Buck blushes, Tommy Kinnard always the charmer. The other man smirks, knowing the effect he has on him still. “You look good Buck. Happy. Wouldn’t have anything to do with a certain firefighter that’s all over your Instagram lately? Hm?”
As if summoned by Tommy’s mere mention of him, a red Henley covered arm snakes its away around Buck’s waist and warmth lines up along his back. “Hey Tommy, good to see yuh man.” Eddie greets smoothly before nuzzling close to Buck’s ear, “Get that drink order in yet babe?” He asks just loud enough to be overheard by certain people close by.
The pilot’s smirk broadens, but gives a friendly slap to Eddie’s back, “Good to see yuh too Diaz. Been a minute.”
Eddie nods and his nose moves along Buck’s jaw at the movement, making him tremble, “It has. Maybe we can meet up to spar sometime.”
Before his bisexual awakening and the admittance of his true feelings, hearing his boyfriend make plans with another man would have sent him on a downward spiral. Now, thanks in part to Tommy, Eddie, his sister, and the entirety of the 118, but mostly himself, Buck is secure and at peace with his place in their lives, in Eddie’s life.
But that still doesn’t stop his big hearted, ever thoughtful boyfriend from asking, “I know I’ve only taught you the basics, but you could join Evan.”
Buck leans back into Eddie’s embrace and brushes his lips against his partner’s cheek, “Hmm. I’d rather go for the title on more equal grounds, and I really want to save myself the embarrassment of Tommy seeing my ass get kicked.”
His ex snorts out a laugh, while Eddie’s cheeks pinken at Buck’s innuendo of the actual kind of sweaty, half naked situation they want to be in. “Still shameless as ever huh Evan?” Tommy comments.
Buck shrugs, “Nothing to be ashamed of. My boyfriend is hot and I prefer to have my ass handed to me in more intimate ways. But you two can kick, spin, and punch your little hearts out. I’ll enjoy some time with Christopher, maybe even take him to a field and play the much superior sport, football.”
“God you really do not like basketball huh?” Tommy retorts with a shake of his head, probably remembering the first and last time they played, ending with Buck almost breaking Eddie’s ankle in a confused jealous rage.
“I won’t let him near anything orange and spherical.” Eddie jokes giving Buck a tight squeeze. “But if you are up to it, I would love to come over and go a few rounds. You do have a pretty sweet set up.”
The LAFD piolet grins, “Bring the Chevelle too, we can give it a once over.”
Buck makes a mental reminder to give the back seat of said car a good cleaning because the last time he and Eddie drove it out, Buck took Eddie apart in back seat and a t-shirt wipe down definitely did not suffice as ‘clean up’.
Eddie clears his throat, and his blush deepens. Yea, he’s thinking the same. “Sounds good. I’ll shoot you text and set up a time.”
Knowing the conversation is coming to an end, Buck flags down the bar tender before looking over at Tommy, “You should join us. Drinks are on,” He pauses trying to remember who lost the credit card roulette and laughs when it comes to him, “Drinks are on Josh.”
Tommy softens at the invitation, “Drinks with the 118, haven’t done that in a while. I’m in. Miller lite to start.”
Buck laughs, “Yea I know. Go join the others, Eddie and I got this.”
“Yea, I know you do. BuckandEddie, the dream team. Happy for you both, truly.” Tommy kindly states, then gives a shoulder pat to the two of them before strolling away to join the 118 and dispatchers. They faintly hear loud cheers and greetings when he gets close, their friends and family always happy to see the man who put his life and career on the line for them.
Buck places their drink order and when the bar tender slides away, Eddie pulls him back into his chest and growls into his ear, “You may not be green with envy anymore, but I sort of am.”
A shiver runs down Buck’s spine at his boyfriend’s possessive tone and knew all too well that their time at the bar was going to be short lived…unless.
“It’s no Chevelle, but the jeep is parked pretty close.” Buck breathlessly tells him.
Eddie gives him a wicked grin, “You want to take me in the jeep?”
“Wanna go for another title?”

The classroom hums with the faint rustling of paper and low whispers. Sunlight streams through the windows, painting streaks of gold on the tiled floor as the final lesson of the day nears its end. You’re seated beside Harry, your desk cluttered with doodled-on scraps of paper and a pencil teetering on the edge. Outside, the sun hangs low, casting a warm afternoon glow.
At the front of the room, Ms. Carter claps her hands to gather everyone’s attention. “All right, class, settle down! I’ve got something exciting to announce,” she says, her bright smile matching the colorful floral dress she wears. She picks up a piece of chalk and writes Career Day on the board in bold, swooping letters.
Harry leans toward you, muttering, “Bet it’s another boring writing assignment.”
You elbow him playfully. “What if it’s not? What if it’s actually fun?”
Ms. Carter’s voice lifts above the quiet murmurs. “Your next assignment will be a little different. Next week, you’ll visit one of your parents at their workplace to see what they do. Then, you’ll write a presentation about it to share with the class!”
The room buzzes with excitement as kids chatter among themselves.
“Does it have to be both parents?” someone asks.
“What if my dad works far away?” another chimes in.
Ms. Carter raises her hands for silence. “It can be one parent or guardian. I’ll send home letters with all the details today. Be sure to give them to your parents!”
You glance at Harry, who’s practically vibrating with excitement. “We have to go to our dads’ work,” he whispers, his green eyes wide.
“Obviously,” you whisper back. Images of bustling hallways filled with wizards, magical gadgets, and secret missions flash in your mind.
“I bet they’ll show us all the cool Auror stuff,” Harry says, his grin widening. “Maybe they’ll even let us help!”
You giggle at the thought of solving cases like detectives in a storybook. “We’d be the best Aurors ever,” you say, eyes sparkling.
When the bell finally rings, the classroom erupts into motion. You and Harry grab your bags, clutching your Career Day forms, and dart out of the classroom, weaving through the crowded hallways.
The crisp afternoon air greets you as you step outside. The schoolyard is alive with laughter and chatter, the sun casting long shadows across the pavement. Just ahead, you spot Lily and Remus waiting near the gate, Lily’s red hair glowing in the sunlight.
“There they are!” Harry exclaims, tugging you along.
You both dash over, skidding to a stop in front of them.
“There’s my boy,” Lily says warmly, wrapping Harry in a hug. She turns to you with a smile. “And our star student. How was school, you two?”
“Good!” You and Harry say in unison as the four of you begin walking home.
“So, what did you get up to today?” Lily asks, her tone light.
Harry eagerly recounts how Ms. Carter read a funny story during morning lessons, and you chime in about the science experiment after lunch. Both adults listen with amused expressions as you and Harry try to outdo each other with details.
“And then Ms. Carter told us about our new assignment!” you add, your excitement spilling over.
“Oh?” Remus asks, his brow lifting. “What’s the assignment?”
“It’s Career Day!” Harry says with a wide grin. “We get to go to one of our parents’ jobs and write about it. Then we’ll present it to the class!”
You pull the crumpled form from your pocket and hand it to Remus. “Here, Dad. Ms. Carter said you have to sign it.”
Remus scans the paper, his expression growing thoughtful. You’re too busy talking to notice.
“It’s such a cool idea! I can’t wait to go to Daddy’s work! I bet it’s full of Auror gadgets and secret cases!”
“Detective gadgets,” Lily echoes with a wink, keeping the moment light.
“Right, detective gadgets!” you say, grinning.
“It’ll be awesome,” Harry adds. “I’ll get to see how my dad solves mysteries!”
Lily laughs. “I’m glad you’re both excited. And I think it’ll be great for you to go with your dad, Harry.”
Remus’s voice is quieter, more measured. “I’m… not so sure about this.”
You slow your steps, frowning. “Why not? If Harry gets to go, then I should too!”
“It’s not that simple,” Remus says, his tone cautious. “Your daddy’s job can be… complicated. I’m not sure it’s the best place for you to visit.”
“That’s not fair!” you protest, your voice rising. “I want to see what he does! I promise I’ll be careful!”
Remus’s hesitation lingers, but Lily steps in, her tone soothing. “You’ll both have to be careful about what you say during your presentations. We can’t exactly tell your classmates what your dads really do.”
“What do you mean?” Harry asks, his brow furrowing.
“Well,” Lily explains, “we’ll need to come up with something muggle-friendly to say. Something simpler.” She smiles at you both. “Remus and I will help you write it so it’s just right.”
Harry shrugs. “That’s fine. We’ll just call them detectives. That’s basically what they are, right?”
“Exactly,” Lily says, laughing softly.
You glance at Remus, still uneasy but keeping quiet. Harry nudges you with a grin. “Don’t worry,” he whispers. “It’s going to be amazing. You’ll see.”
Despite your dad’s reluctance, you let yourself imagine the thrill of visiting the Auror Office, your excitement bubbling back up as you envision the adventure ahead.
The evening sun dips below the horizon, casting a soft golden glow across the kitchen. Shadows stretch lazily along the walls, softened by the warmth of the overhead light. You sit at the kitchen table, pencil tapping against your notebook as you work on your assignment. The smell of herbs and spices drifts through the room, and your stomach growls, urging you to ask if dinner is almost ready.
Instead, you swing your legs under the chair, barely able to sit still. Your attention wavers between the words scrawled across the page and the front door, your eyes darting to it every few minutes.
At the stove, Remus is a picture of calm. His sleeves are rolled up to his elbows, revealing faint scars on his forearms as he stirs a pot with practiced ease. A wooden spoon clinks softly against the side of the pot, and steam curls into the air. He hums quietly, a tune you’ve heard a dozen times but can’t quite name. The sound wraps around you like a cozy blanket, soothing in its familiarity.
"When’s daddy getting home?" you ask suddenly, your voice cutting through the quiet.
Remus glances at you out of the corner of his eye, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "Soon. You’ll know the second he walks through the door because you always tackle him before he even has a chance to say hello."
You grin, not denying it. "I just miss him when he’s gone."
"Mm-hmm," Remus hums, his tone laced with amusement. "Now focus on your assignment before dinner gets cold."
You groan dramatically, slumping over your notebook. "This assignment is boring."
"What’s it about again?" Remus asks, even though you know he already remembers.
"Career Day," you reply with a sigh, twirling your pencil between your fingers. "I get to write about what I want to do when I grow up, and I get to go to Papa’s work and see what it’s like."
Remus pauses for the briefest of moments, the wooden spoon hovering over the pot. "That’s quite the assignment," he says carefully, resuming his stirring.
"Yeah! I’m going to write all about how daddy is the coolest," you declare proudly, your eyes lighting up at the thought.
Remus chuckles softly, shaking his head. "I’m sure your teacher will be impressed."
The faint creak of the front door interrupts the moment, and before Remus can even turn, you’re out of your chair. Your notebook lies forgotten on the table as your chair scrapes loudly against the floor.
"Daddy!" you shout, your voice echoing through the house.
Sirius barely manages to push the door closed before you throw yourself at him, wrapping your arms around his waist and holding on tightly. He stumbles slightly, caught off guard, but quickly recovers with a laugh.
"Missed me, did you?" he teases, ruffling your hair with one hand while his other sets his bag down by the door.
"So much!" you exclaim, tilting your head back to look up at him. "You got home safe!"
"I always do, love," he says warmly, crouching down so he’s eye-level with you. "Did you behave for your dad while I was gone?"
"Mostly," you answer with a cheeky grin, making Sirius laugh.
"All right, all right," Remus’s voice calls from the kitchen, cutting through the moment. "Let your daddy breathe. Go wash your hands—dinner’s ready."
You pout but do as you’re told, darting down the hallway toward the bathroom. Sirius watches you go, shaking his head fondly before heading into the kitchen.
"Smells amazing in here," he says, stepping behind Remus and slipping his arms around his waist.
"Don’t distract me," Remus says lightly, though the corners of his mouth twitch upward as he leans into the embrace for a moment.
"How was your day?" Sirius asks, pressing a kiss to Remus’s cheek before letting him go.
"Quiet," Remus replies, plating up the food. "She’s been excited about this Career Day assignment all afternoon."
"Ah," Sirius says knowingly. "She’s been asking about coming to work with me for weeks now."
Remus stiffens slightly, but before he can respond, you bound back into the room, your hands still damp from washing.
"I’m ready!" you announce, practically bouncing on the balls of your feet.
"Then sit down," Remus says, gesturing to the table. "Dinner’s served."
You slide into your chair, Sirius taking the seat beside you as Remus sets the plates down. The clinking of silverware and the murmur of conversation soon fills the room.
"So, how was school today?" Sirius asks, glancing at you as he spears a bite of food.
"It was good!" you say around a mouthful of mashed potatoes, earning a raised eyebrow from Remus, who gestures for you to swallow first. "Guess what, daddy? For Career Day, I get to come to your work with you! Isn’t that the coolest?"
Sirius’s face lights up, his grin matching your excitement. "That sounds awesome, kiddo! You’re going to love it."
"I know! I want to see all the gadgets and the cool cases you solve—"
"Hold on," Remus interrupts gently, setting his fork down. His expression is calm, but there’s a slight edge to his voice. "Let’s not get ahead of ourselves."
You frown, your excitement faltering. "What do you mean? Daddy said it’s cool."
"It’s not that simple," Remus explains, his tone measured. "Your daddy’s job isn’t always… safe. I’m not sure it’s the best idea for you to go."
"But I’ll be with him the whole time!" you argue, your voice rising slightly as you turn to Sirius for support.
"We’ll talk about it later," Sirius says firmly, though his tone remains calm. He meets Remus’s gaze, something unspoken passing between them.
"After dinner," Remus agrees, though his voice is tight.
You slump back in your chair, your appetite dampened by the nervous flutter in your chest. The conversation shifts to lighter topics, but the tension lingers, a quiet undercurrent beneath the surface.
Later that night, you lie in bed staring at the ceiling, your thoughts racing. The house is still, but the faint sound of voices from down the hall draws your attention. They’re not loud, but there’s a sharpness in their tone that cuts through the quiet.
Curiosity and unease gnaw at you. Pushing the covers aside, you slip out of bed, your feet making barely a sound on the floor as you pad toward your parents’ room. The door is mostly shut, but the murmur of voices leaks through the crack, too muffled to catch every word but clear enough to feel the tension.
"You can’t just promise her things like that," Remus’s voice rises slightly, sharper than you’re used to hearing from him.
"She’s my daughter too," Sirius shoots back, his tone defensive. "And she’s excited about this. I don’t see the harm in letting her see what I do."
"The harm," Remus bites out, "is that your job is dangerous, Sirius. You know that better than anyone. How many times have you come home bruised or worse?"
"It’s not like I’m taking her on a mission," Sirius argues, frustration thick in his voice. "She’d be in the office. Just the office. She’d be safe—there’d be dozens of people around to make sure of that!"
"Safe?" Remus repeats, incredulous. "You think that’s the only concern? It’s not just about safety—it’s about what this teaches her. She already worships the ground you walk on, Sirius. What happens when she sees all the flashy parts of your job and none of the cost? What if she thinks this is what she wants to do one day?"
There’s a heavy pause, and you lean closer, your heart hammering in your chest.
"And what’s wrong with that?" Sirius’s voice drops, quieter now, but there’s a hard edge to it. "You don’t want her to see my work because you’re afraid she might admire it? Admire me?"
"Don’t twist my words," Remus snaps, his own voice losing some of its usual calm. "Of course she admires you. I just don’t want her idolizing a version of you that isn’t real. Your work isn’t just gadgets and clever plans, Sirius. It’s late nights, danger, and—you know it—it’s loss. I don’t want her thinking it’s all some kind of… adventure."
"She’s not a baby, Remus," Sirius counters. "She’s curious. She’s smart. If we explain things to her—really explain them—she’ll understand. She’ll see the whole picture."
"You think she’s ready for that picture?" Remus asks, his voice dropping again but no less intense. "She’s a child, Sirius. A child. Do you really think she can grasp what it is you do?"
"Maybe she can’t," Sirius admits, his tone softening. "But maybe it’s better she hears it from us than makes up her own version in her head. She’ll see the truth eventually, one way or another."
"Not if I can help it," Remus says, and there’s something steely in his voice now.
The room falls silent for a moment, the kind of silence that feels heavy, crackling with unspoken words.
"You always make everything so black and white," Sirius finally says, his voice quieter but tinged with frustration. "It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. We can let her in a little, on our terms, without putting her in harm’s way."
"And what happens if she wants more?" Remus counters. "What happens when a ‘little’ isn’t enough?"
"Then we handle it," Sirius says simply. "Together. Like we always do."
The silence returns, but this time it’s different. Not heavy, exactly, but not settled either.
You step back from the door, your chest tight. Their words swirl in your head as you retreat to your room, slipping under the covers as quietly as you left them. The voices fade as you burrow into your pillow, but the weight of their argument stays with you.
You’d wanted to see daddy’s work so badly, but now… you’re not sure what to think. The excitement that had filled you earlier feels tangled now, knotted up with confusion and guilt. You want to be proud of him, to see the world he steps into every day. But if it causes this much tension, is it really worth it?
Sleep doesn’t come easily that night, the echoes of your parents’ voices lingering in the back of your mind.
The sound of laughter fills the Potter’s living room as you and Harry construct your fort. It’s a chaotic mess of cushions, blankets, and chairs teetering dangerously, but to you and Harry, it’s nothing short of a masterpiece.
"We need one more chair for this side," Harry says, pointing to a sagging corner of the fort.
"I’ll grab it!" you say, scurrying off to find another chair.
When you return and the fort finally stays upright, you and Harry cheer loudly, your voices echoing through the house. You both duck inside, settling into the small space with triumphant grins.
As you sit cross-legged, Harry glances at you. "So, did your dad ever say if you can go to Career Day with your daddy?"
You frown, picking at a loose thread on one of the blankets. "Not yet. He’s… he’s worried about it."
Harry tilts his head, his green eyes curious. "Why’s he worried?"
You sigh, leaning back against the makeshift wall of the fort. "He says Daddy’s work is dangerous, and he doesn’t want me to think it’s all fun and exciting. He thinks I might get the wrong idea or something."
Harry nods slowly, considering this. "I mean, your dad’s kind of got a point. What your daddy does… it can be dangerous, right? He deals with bad people and stuff."
"Yeah, but I wouldn’t be doing any of that," you protest. "I’d just be in his office, meeting the people he works with. I wouldn’t be in danger."
"I get that," Harry says, his voice calm and thoughtful. "But I also get why your dad’s worried. He just doesn’t want anything bad to happen to you. Being scared for you—it’s kind of normal, isn’t it?"
You look at him, your brow furrowed. "You think so?"
"Yeah," Harry says with a shrug. "I mean, if my mum or dad thought something might hurt me, they’d be worried too. It doesn’t mean they don’t trust me or think I can handle it—they just care about me."
You’re quiet for a moment, his words sinking in. "I guess I hadn’t thought about it like that."
Harry grins. "Your dad’s just trying to keep you safe. It doesn’t mean he won’t change his mind if he sees how much this means to you."
"Maybe," you murmur, a small smile tugging at your lips. "Thanks, Harry."
"Anytime," he says, nudging your shoulder. "Now, are we making a second floor for this fort or what?"
You laugh, diving back into your plans, but his words stick with you, making you feel a little better.
From the kitchen, the hum of voices drifts through the house. Lily and your dad sit at the table, mugs of tea in hand.
"I just… I don’t know, Lily," Remus says, his fingers tracing the rim of his mug. "She’s so young. I don’t want her to think Sirius’s work is all fun and excitement. It’s not like that, and it’s not what I want for her."
Lily leans forward, her voice gentle but firm. "I understand where you’re coming from, Remus. You want to protect her. That’s what parents do. But you can’t shield her from everything forever. She’s curious—about Sirius, about his work—and that’s not a bad thing."
Remus sighs, his shoulders slumping. "I just… I’m worried about the example it sets. She already sees him as larger than life. What if this just adds to that? What if it gives her ideas—dangerous ones?"
Lily reaches across the table, placing a hand over his. "That’s where you come in. You and Sirius both. She doesn’t just look up to him, Remus—she looks up to you, too. You’re her balance. You can help her see the whole picture, the reality of it. It’s not about hiding it from her; it’s about helping her understand."
Remus is quiet for a moment, his fingers drumming softly against the table. "And what if I say yes, and she doesn’t understand? What if it’s too much?"
"Then you’ll talk to her," Lily says simply. "Like you always do. She’s smart, Remus, and she trusts you. You’ll know how to handle it. You always do."
A loud crash from the living room pulls their attention, and Lily stands to peek around the corner. "You two all right in there?"
"Everything’s fine!" Harry shouts, his voice muffled.
"We meant to do that!" you add, giggling.
Lily shakes her head, amused, and returns to her seat. Remus exhales a quiet laugh, some of the tension in his posture easing.
When it’s time to head home, you and your dad linger at the Potter’s kitchen table for a moment. He clears his throat, looking a little unsure. "Hey, kiddo. Sit down for a second. Let’s talk."
You slide into a chair, glancing at him curiously.
"I’ve been thinking," he starts, folding his hands on the table. "About Career Day. And I’ve decided you can go with your daddy to his work."
Your eyes widen, excitement bubbling to the surface. "Really?!"
"Really," he says with a small smile. "But there are going to be some ground rules."
"Okay," you say eagerly, sitting up straighter.
"First," he says, holding up a finger, "you stay with your daddy at all times. No wandering off, no matter how curious you get."
"Got it," you say, nodding earnestly.
"Second," he continues, "you listen to what he and his coworkers tell you. If they say something’s off-limits, you respect that."
"Of course!"
"And third," he says, his voice softening, "we’ll talk about what you see afterward. I want to make sure you understand everything, okay?"
You nod quickly, a grin spreading across your face. "Okay, Dad. I promise."
Before he can say anything else, you throw your arms around him in an impromptu hug. "You’re awesome! You’re the best dad ever!"
"Hold on—"
"Nope," you cut him off, squeezing him tighter. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love you so much, Dad."
He chuckles softly, wrapping his arms around you. "I love you too, kiddo. Just remember, this is a big responsibility, okay?"
"I will!" you say brightly, pulling back just enough to beam up at him.
For a moment, the worry in his eyes softens, replaced by something warm and fond. He ruffles your hair gently before letting you climb into the car, a small smile tugging at his lips.
As the car pulls out of the driveway, you lean back in your seat, already imagining all the cool things you’re going to see at your daddy’s work. Remus glances at you in the rearview mirror, shaking his head with a small, affectionate smile.
He still has his concerns, but for now, he’s content just seeing you happy.
You pull your coat on, excitement bubbling under your skin as you hop around the living room, searching for your shoes. Sirius is already waiting by the door, arms crossed and a smirk on his face as he watches you dart from place to place.
“Shoes, Darling,” he reminds, tapping his foot.
“I know!” you call, your voice muffled as you check under the couch cushions.
Remus steps into the room, holding the shoes you’d abandoned by the kitchen door. “Looking for these?”
You beam up at him, sliding them on as fast as possible. “Thanks, Dad!”
Remus folds his arms and gives you a look—a mix of fondness and the usual sternness that comes when he’s trying to make a point. “Before you leave, young lady, a few things.”
You groan theatrically. “Dad…”
“I’m serious,” he says, though the corner of his mouth twitches like he’s holding back a smile. “I want you to behave yourself. No wandering off, no pushing your daddy to do anything reckless, and you listen to him. Understood?”
“Yes, Dad,” you promise, though the sparkle in your eyes suggests you’re already scheming.
Remus crouches down to your height, his hands resting on your shoulders. “I mean it. Daddy might make it look like fun and games, but what you’re seeing is serious work. Stay close and pay attention.”
You nod, seeing the worry etched in his eyes. “I’ll be good. Promise.”
He presses a kiss to your forehead before standing. “I’ll hold you to that. Sirius—”
Sirius raises a hand in mock solemnity. “Scout’s honor, Moony. I’ll keep her safe and out of trouble.”
“Hmm,” Remus says, clearly unconvinced. “She’s a lot like you, so good luck with that.”
With a grin and a wave, you head out the door with Sirius, who claps a hand on your shoulder as you walk down the path.
“Alright, sweetheart,” Sirius begins, picking up where Remus left off. “Your dad’s right, you know. Listening to me isn’t just for show—it’s about staying safe. The Ministry’s no joke, especially for people like us.”
“People like us?” you ask, glancing up at him curiously.
Sirius nods, his usual mischievous air dimming slightly. “Yeah. People who don’t quite fit their mold. Things can get dicey if we’re not careful. That’s why you stick with me and don’t go wandering off. Got it?”
“Got it,” you say, your voice quieter as you take his words to heart.
Before long, the two of you arrive at the prearranged meeting spot, where James and Harry are already waiting. James grins as he sees you approach, his glasses glinting in the morning light.
“Look who finally decided to show up,” James teases, ruffling Harry’s hair. “Alright, you two—got all your questions ready? This is your chance to grill us about the glamorous world of the Ministry.”
Harry glances at you, his expression a mix of excitement and nerves. “I think so…”
“Good,” Sirius says, pulling something from his pocket with a flourish. “Because if you forget any, I’ve got this.”
You blink at the tape recorder in his hand. “What’s that?”
“State-of-the-art Muggle technology,” Sirius replies proudly. “It’ll record every word for you. So no excuses if you miss something!”
James laughs, shaking his head. “Of course, you’d have a tape recorder, Pads.”
“Preparedness, Prongs,” Sirius says, winking at you.
The four of you set off toward the Ministry’s visitor entrance, the air buzzing with anticipation.
When you reach the unassuming red telephone box nestled in a quiet corner, Harry frowns, tilting his head. “Why are we taking the visitor entrance?”
James exchanges a look with Sirius, who grins. “Because, kiddo, you’re not employees. And last I checked, you’re not adults yet, either.”
James nods. “Visitor entrance is standard for anyone not on the payroll. Don’t worry—it’s all part of the experience.”
“Experience,” Sirius repeats, gesturing grandly at the phone box. “Now, step inside, and let the magic begin!”
Harry shoots you a look, part confusion and part amusement, as you both step into the cramped space. The adventure is officially underway.
The telephone box hums to life as James picks up the receiver, dialing an odd sequence of numbers. A calm, professional voice fills the cramped space.
“Welcome to the Ministry of Magic. Please state your name and business.”
“James Potter, Auror,” James replies. “Accompanied by Sirius Black, also an Auror, and two visitors for educational purposes.”
The floor beneath your feet lurches, and the telephone box begins to descend. Harry grips the side, his eyes widening as you flash him a reassuring grin.
The lift comes to a halt, and the doors swing open to reveal the vast, bustling atrium of the Ministry of Magic. The ceiling is enchanted to shimmer like a twilight sky, its deep navy hues flecked with golden constellations. Ornate fireplaces line the walls, wizards and witches stepping in and out of them in bursts of green flames. In the center of the atrium, a golden fountain stands proudly, its statues of magical beings sparkling as water cascades around them.
“Wow,” Harry breathes, craning his neck to take it all in.
You nod in agreement, your awe mirrored on his face. The space hums with energy—heels clicking against polished floors, the soft buzz of magical correspondence zipping overhead, and the murmur of voices as Ministry workers dart to and fro.
Sirius places a hand on your shoulder to guide you forward. “Keep up, darling. Plenty more to see.”
James leads the way to a smaller set of lifts, pressing the button for Level Two. “Department of Magical Law Enforcement,” he announces as the doors close. “Home sweet home.”
The lift halts with a ding, and you step into a hallway lined with doors, bustling with witches and wizards in deep blue robes. The Auror Office is just ahead, its glass doors etched with the department's crest.
Inside, the office is lively but chaotic—desks crammed with parchment, enchanted maps hovering mid-air, and memos zooming past like tiny paper birds. Wizards and witches are deep in conversation or examining strange artifacts under magnifying glasses.
Sirius waves his wand at a cluttered desk in the corner, clearing off a stack of case files. “Welcome to the Auror Office. That one’s mine.”
James points to the desk beside it, which is equally disheveled. “And that disaster zone is mine.”
“Your desks look... busy, Harry says diplomatically, earning a bark of laughter from Sirius.
“Busy is an understatement,” Sirius replies, plopping into his chair. “Organized chaos, I call it.”
Before you can comment, James gestures to a large enchanted map pinned on one wall, glowing with various colored dots. "This," he explains, "is our main tracking map. Those dots represent different magical signatures—dark wizards, strange magical surges, and even certain enchanted objects. It helps us keep an eye on trouble spots."
“Does it show everything happening in the wizarding world?” Harry asks, leaning closer to inspect it.
James shakes his head. “Not everything. It’s enchanted to highlight only specific threats we’re monitoring. Each color represents something different. For example—” He points to a red dot hovering over a city. “This one marks a dark object in transit. The system flagged it because it hasn’t been cleared by the Department of Magical Artifacts.”
“Cool,” Harry murmurs, scribbling notes in his notebook.
Sirius nudges you gently. “See, sweetie? I told you we do more than just chase bad guys.”
Frank Longbottom appears at his desk nearby, his friendly demeanour catching your eye as he waves. “Speaking of bad guys, don’t forget about the paperwork. Dark wizards don’t file their own incident reports.”
You giggle softly, earning a smile from Frank before he gestures to a stack of parchment on his desk. “That right there is my ongoing case log. It’s a mix of surveillance notes, suspect interviews, and evidence cataloging.” He grins. “Not as glamorous as it sounds, but it’s part of the job.”
“What’s the hardest part of being an Auror?” you ask softly, feeling brave enough to interject.
Sirius leans back in his chair, his expression softening. “Sometimes it’s seeing the aftermath of what dark wizards do. It’s not always easy to walk away from a case unscathed.”
James nods solemnly. “And balancing it with family. It’s not the kind of job where you can just clock out at the end of the day.”
Frank raises his hand dramatically. “For me, it’s the paperwork. Merlin, I didn’t sign up to be a scribe.”
Moody, who has been silently observing from a nearby desk, snorts. “Paperwork’s the least of your problems. The hardest part is staying alive long enough to retire. Constant vigilance—that’s the name of the game.”
Harry looks at you, raising his eyebrows at the stark difference in answers.
James quickly changes the tone, gesturing toward a set of magical artifacts on another table. “These are confiscated items,” he says. “Mostly dark objects or cursed items that were used in illegal activity. Each one has to be cataloged and analyzed before we can decide what to do with it.”
Sirius points to a sinister-looking locket encased in a glass box. “That one’s got a nasty curse on it. Took us weeks to figure out how to contain it without setting it off.”
Harry leans closer to inspect it, his curiosity shining through. “What kind of curse?”
“Blood magic,” Sirius replies, his tone serious. “Very old, very dark. It’s dormant now, but you don’t want to be anywhere near it if it wakes up.”
You shudder at the thought, clutching your notebook tighter.
The group moves on to another section of the office, where a wall of moving photographs catches your attention. James stops to point them out. “These are some of the most wanted wizards we’ve ever dealt with. Each one of these cases took months—sometimes years—to resolve.”
“Not all of them are resolved,” Moody growls, his magical eye flicking to a blank space on the wall. “Some are still out there.”
Sirius pats you on the shoulder, sensing your unease. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. They’d have to get through us first.”
Your dad’s words soothe you, but only a little. Your eyes drift back to the board, taking in the grim collection of faces. Each one seems to have its own haunting presence, staring back at you with sneers, cold eyes, or twisted smiles. You shiver, huddling closer to Sirius, but something catches your attention.
A name, scrawled in dark ink beneath the image of a woman with wild, dark hair and a cruel smirk: Bellatrix Lestrange.
“Bellatrix?” you murmur aloud, furrowing your brow. “That’s… a star, isn’t it?”
Sirius glances at the board and stiffens. His usual carefree demeanor falters for a moment, and he looks at you carefully. “Yeah, it is. In the constellation Orion,” he says slowly, his tone almost cautious.
Your curiosity sparks further. “Like your name. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky, right? And Bellatrix is a star, too.” You glance up at him, a question already forming in your mind. “Do you know her?”
For a moment, Sirius doesn’t answer. His hand falls from your shoulder, and his jaw tightens. When he finally speaks, his voice is low and measured. “I do,” he admits. “She’s my cousin.”
Your eyes widen, and you take a small step back, staring between him and the board. “Your cousin?” The idea feels impossible. The woman’s smirk is malicious, her presence on the board threatening. She doesn’t look anything like Sirius—nothing like the kind, brave man who always makes you feel safe. “But… how? She’s…” You struggle to find the words, your voice dropping to a whisper. “She’s up there with them.”
Sirius exhales, running a hand through his hair. “She’s up there because that’s exactly where she belongs,” he says darkly. His tone carries a bitterness you rarely hear. “Bellatrix isn’t just some distant relation, Starlight. She’s… well, she was the worst of us. A fanatic who believed in everything the Black family stood for—pure-blood supremacy, power, cruelty. She’s hurt a lot of people. Done terrible things.”
You can’t quite reconcile the venom in his voice with the fact that they’re family. “But you’re not like that,” you say, your voice firmer now. “You’re not like her.”
Sirius looks at you, his expression softening. “No, I’m not. I never have been. But I can’t change where I come from, and neither could she. The difference is, I chose to walk away. Bellatrix… embraced it.”
You glance back at the photograph. Bellatrix’s face is striking, sharp features framed by wild curls, her expression unhinged even in a still image. It’s hard to believe she and your dad share the same bloodline. “She doesn’t seem anything like you,” you mutter.
“She’s not,” Sirius assures you, but there’s a flicker of something else in his eyes—sadness, maybe, or regret. “We grew up in the same house, under the same rules, the same… expectations. But she made her choices, and I made mine.”
You look at him, questions swirling in your mind, but another face on the board catches your eye—another name. “And… what about him?” you ask, pointing to a photograph of a young man with dark hair and a quiet, somber expression. His name is listed as Regulus Arcturus Black.
Sirius’s jaw tightens again, and his hand rests on the back of his neck. “Regulus,” he says quietly. “That’s my brother.”
Your stomach twists. “Your brother?”
He nods slowly. “Yeah. My little brother. He… well, he followed a different path than I did.” His voice softens, carrying a weight that makes your chest ache. “He believed in the family’s ideals for a long time—pure-bloods, power, all that rubbish. But in the end…” He trails off, his gaze distant. “In the end, he realized it wasn’t worth it. Not the way they wanted him to live.”
You blink up at him, confused. “What do you mean?”
Sirius sighs, crouching down so you’re face to face. “Regulus tried to break away from the family, just like I did,” he says, his voice steady but pained. “But it’s not as easy as it sounds. He didn’t want to be like them anymore, but he couldn’t outrun the expectations. And… he didn’t make it out.”
Your chest tightens at the thought of someone your dad cared about being caught up in something so dark. “He… he died?” you whisper.
Sirius nods, his hand resting on your shoulder. “Yeah. He did. But he realized the truth before the end, darling. That matters. It doesn’t make it right, but it matters.”
You glance back at the board, at the moving photographs of Bellatrix and Regulus, their faces so different yet tied to your dad in ways you never imagined. The weight of it all presses down on you. “That must’ve been hard,” you say softly.
“It was,” Sirius admits, his voice low. “But it’s ancient history now. What matters is the choices we make, not the ones others made before us.”
You look up at him, feeling a surge of pride. “You made the right choice, Daddy.”
He smiles at that, though there’s a hint of sadness in his eyes. “Yeah, I did. And I’d make it again a thousand times over. But it’s not something I ever wanted to pass on to you.”
You nod, still trying to process everything. The board looms behind you, its dark faces and names a stark reminder of the weight your dad carries. But as he ruffles your hair and guides you away, you feel a little lighter knowing that no matter where he came from, he’s chosen to stand on the right side.
“Come on,” Sirius says, his usual grin creeping back onto his face. “Enough of this gloomy stuff. Let’s go find the Quidditch department. Maybe we can sneak you a team badge while we’re there.”
And just like that, the shadows of the past fade a little, replaced by the comfort of your dad’s hand on your shoulder and the warmth of his voice.
The Auror Office is buzzing with its usual energy—quills scratching, enchanted memos zooming through the air, and the occasional magical artifact emitting an ominous hum from a nearby desk. You’re perched on the edge of James’s desk with Harry, swinging your legs while Sirius leans casually against a filing cabinet, tossing a small rubber ball into the air and catching it repeatedly.
“Potter. Black.”
The gruff voice of Alastor Moody cuts through the noise like a thunderclap. You turn to see him striding toward you, his magical eye whirling wildly in its socket. He stops in front of James and Sirius, his gnarled hand clutching a rolled-up parchment.
“We’ve got reports of a cursed item causing a stir at a Muggle children’s park,” he says, his voice low and gravelly. “Nothing too dangerous, by the looks of it, but it’s spooking the locals. Do you mind checking it out?”
James grins, standing up and clapping his hands together. “On it, boss.” He’s already grabbing his wand from the desk, looking more excited than he probably should be for what sounds like a simple mission.
Sirius raises an eyebrow, a mischievous smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “A cursed item in a park? Sounds like our kind of job.” Then he turns to you and Harry, his grin widening. “What do you two think? Fancy seeing your dads in action?”
Harry’s eyes light up immediately. “Really? We can come?”
“Of course!” Sirius says, ruffling his godson’s hair before glancing at you. “What about you, sweetheart? Up for a little adventure?”
You nod enthusiastically, your heart already racing with excitement. “Yes!”
Moody lets out a grumble, his magical eye swiveling to focus on Sirius. “Just don’t let them wander off, Black. This is a retrieval mission, not a field trip.”
“Relax, Moody,” Sirius says with a wink. “They’ll stay close. Right, detectives?”
“Right!” you and Harry say in unison, grinning at each other.
James chuckles, motioning for you all to follow. “Alright, let’s go save the day.”
Sirius throws an arm around your shoulder as the four of you head toward the Apparition point. “Stick close, kids. You’re about to see how it’s done.”
The sun is high, casting long shadows across the colorful play structures of the park. The air smells faintly of freshly cut grass and sunscreen, blending with the happy shouts of children playing. James and Sirius survey the park with practiced ease, their wands tucked discreetly in their sleeves.
“Alright, detectives,” James announces, turning to you and Harry with a smile. “We’ve got a job to do. Sirius and I will handle the tricky bits, but we need your sharp eyes. Keep a lookout for anything unusual—something that doesn’t belong in a park, or feels… off.”
You raise your hand like you’re in class. “What kind of cursed item are we looking for? Is it dangerous?”
James crouches down to your eye level, his expression patient. “Good question. It could be anything—jewelry, a toy, even something like a piece of trash. The important thing is how it feels. If it gives you a weird sensation, like tingling or heaviness, don’t touch it. Let us know straight away.”
Harry tilts his head. “Why would someone leave a cursed object in a park?”
Sirius smirks, clearly enjoying the moment. “Sometimes it’s deliberate—someone causing trouble. Other times, it’s accidental. Cursed objects have a way of moving around on their own. Like a stray dog.”
“Or a stray Black,” James quips.
Sirius rolls his eyes. “Funny. But seriously, don’t underestimate it. Even small curses can cause big problems in the wrong place.”
Harry nods, his brow furrowed in concentration. “So, if we see anything weird, we tell you. Got it.”
“Exactly.” James claps him on the shoulder before straightening up. “Let’s split up, but stay close. Harry, you check near the swings. Y/N, you take the sandpit. Sirius and I will cover the rest.”
You and Harry exchange a quick nod before heading off.
You crouch by the sandpit, scanning the soft grains for anything unusual. Harry joins you, pretending to adjust a stray plastic bucket. “Do you think it’s actually here?” he whispers.
“Probably,” you reply, brushing some sand aside with your shoe. “They wouldn’t bring us along if it wasn’t.”
“What happens if someone touches it?” Harry asks, his voice low. “Would it hurt them?”
“Depends on the curse,” you say, glancing at him. “Dad said some are just annoying, but others… they can be dangerous.”
Harry nods, his gaze flicking toward James and Sirius, who are inspecting the area around the merry-go-round. “They look so... professional. It’s weird seeing them like this. They’re always joking around at home.”
“Except Sirius,” you say with a grin. “He’s always Sirius.”
Harry groans, shaking his head. “That was awful.”
You’re about to retort when something shiny catches your eye near the fence. “Harry,” you whisper, nudging him. “Look. Over there.”
Harry follows your gaze, his eyes widening. “Is that it?”
“Maybe,” you say, your pulse quickening. “Let’s call them over.”
Before you can, a woman with a stroller pauses nearby, eyeing you curiously. “Lose something?”
“Oh, just an old coin,” you say quickly, thinking on your feet. “Family heirloom. We’re trying to find it.”
Harry nods, adding, “It’s supposed to be lucky. We think it’s buried here somewhere.”
The woman smiles, adjusting her grip on the stroller. “Good luck, then.”
As soon as she moves on, you wave to Sirius and James.
“What’ve you got, darling?” Sirius calls, already making his way over.
James crouches beside you, examining the shiny object. “Good spotting. This looks like the one.”
“What is it?” Harry asks, leaning closer.
“Cursed locket,” James says, carefully extracting it with his wand. “Nothing too dangerous now, but it’s better off in our hands than left here.”
Sirius slips the locket into a protective pouch, giving you and Harry a proud smile. “You two did great. Perfect teamwork.”
As you head back to the car, you feel a swell of pride. Watching James and Sirius handle the mission so confidently makes you realize just how skilled—and how cool—your dads really are.
The moment you step back into the office, Sirius strides toward the storage cabinet tucked into the corner, the cursed item wrapped securely in protective layers. You trail behind him, glancing around the space that feels both familiar and vast. Once the item is locked away, Frank Longbottom appears in the doorway, his expression serious but calm.
“Sirius,” Frank calls, his voice low. “Meeting’s starting.”
Sirius exchanges a glance with James, who nods and turns to you and Harry. “Alright, you two,” James says, gesturing toward your desks near the window. “Sit down and get started on that speech. We’ll be back soon. Stay at your desks, no wandering off. Understood?”
You and Harry both nod in unison. “Got it, Dad,” Harry replies, already pulling out the rough draft of the written speech from his bag. You follow his lead, settling in at your desk and reaching for your quill.
“Good,” James says, clapping Harry lightly on the shoulder before heading out with Sirius. As the door closes behind them, the room feels quieter, but the faint hum of activity in the building carries on.
The two of you begin working, the soft scratch of quills on parchment filling the air. Harry leans over slightly to whisper, “Do you think we’re supposed to include the part about the timeline here, or save it for later?”
“Save it,” you whisper back, “it’ll make more sense after we explain the context.” You chew on the end of your quill, thinking about how to phrase the next sentence.
That’s when you hear it—muffled voices rising from somewhere down the hall. At first, it’s easy to ignore, but then the volume increases, and the tone sharpens. You glance at Harry, who’s also stopped writing, his eyes flicking toward the door.
The older man’s voice booms through the hallway, even though the words are somewhat muffled. “You could’ve gotten us both killed!” he yells, the anger in his tone unmistakable. “Do you even realize how close it was? You weren’t paying attention!”
The younger man responds, but his voice is quieter, harder to make out. You catch fragments of an apology, something about being distracted, but the older man cuts him off.
“Distracted? That’s not an excuse! We’re lucky to even be standing here right now. If you can’t keep your head in the game, you’re going to get yourself—and everyone around you—killed.”
You and Harry exchange a look, wide-eyed but silent. The argument continues in the background as you both turn back to your work, though it’s harder to focus now. You keep sneaking glances at the door, the words from the argument replaying in your mind.
Is this what it’s always like for your dad? For Harry’s dad? You knew their jobs were important, but you’re beginning to wonder just how dangerous it really is. The thought sits heavily in your chest as you try to concentrate on finishing your sentence.
The sound of footsteps signals the end of the meeting, and moments later, Sirius and James re-enter the room. James walks over to Harry’s desk, his usual easy grin back in place. “Harry, want to come take a look at that new prototype before we head home?”
Harry brightens immediately, nodding. “Yeah, definitely!”
“Great.” James ruffles your hair lightly on his way out. “Hope to see you, your dad, and Remus at ours for dinner tonight.”
“We’ll be there,” Sirius replies, watching them leave. The door closes behind them, and the room quiets again. Sirius settles at his desk, pulling out a stack of paperwork. His quill scratches against the parchment, but he pauses when he notices you’ve gone unusually quiet.
“What’s on your mind, kiddo?” he asks, leaning back in his chair and giving you his full attention.
You hesitate, fiddling with the corner of your parchment. Finally, you look up at him. “I heard someone yelling in the hall,” you admit softly. “An older man was yelling at a younger man about almost getting them both killed because he wasn’t paying attention.”
Sirius’s expression softens, though there’s a flicker of concern in his eyes. “You overheard that, huh?”
You nod. “Is that... is that what your job is like? Is it really that dangerous?”
He sighs, running a hand through his hair before coming over to sit on the edge of your desk. “Listen,” he says gently, “there are parts of my job that can be dangerous, yeah. But we’re trained for it, and we’re always careful. The man you heard—well, sometimes mistakes happen, and they can be scary. But we do everything we can to keep each other safe.”
You chew on your lip, still unsure. “But what if something goes wrong?”
Sirius leans forward, resting a hand on your shoulder. “That’s why we work together, why we have teams. And that’s why I come home every day—to you and Remus. I’m not going anywhere, sweetheart. Okay?”
You nod slowly, his words easing some of the tension in your chest. “Okay.”
“Good.” He grins, squeezing your shoulder before heading back to his desk. “Now, finish up that speech. We’ve got a dinner to get to.”
“Alright, who’s next?” Ms Carter asks, the classroom buzzes with quiet chatter as you and Harry step up to the front, your project materials in hand. The whiteboard behind you is blank except for the title of your presentation, written in Harry’s neat handwriting: A Day in the Life of a Detective.
Harry sets down the props—a small wooden box filled with papers, a few pens, and a notebook—while you adjust the easel holding up your poster board. It’s covered in diagrams, timelines, and sketches, all carefully crafted to sell your story.
“Alright,” you begin, looking out at the room, “thanks for being patient, everyone. Harry and I are here to talk about what it’s like to grow up with parents who work as detectives.”
A few murmurs ripple through the class, some students leaning forward with interest. You glance at Harry, who gives you an encouraging nod before stepping in.
“Our dads have been partners for years,” Harry says, his voice steady and confident. “They work on really complex cases—missing people, stolen items, that sort of thing.”
“They’re really good at it, too,” you add, a touch of pride slipping into your tone. “They’ve solved some cases that seemed impossible.”
“Like what?” a voice pipes up from the back of the room. It’s Daniel, always the first to challenge anyone. “What kind of impossible cases?”
Harry grins, clearly ready for this. “Well,” he starts, “there was this one case about a guy who disappeared from a locked room. No windows, no secret passages, nothing. It was like he vanished into thin air.”
You pick up where Harry leaves off. “Our dads figured out that the guy used a trapdoor hidden under the carpet. It led to a tunnel that came out a block away. Everyone else missed it because the trapdoor was enchanted to—” You catch yourself, flushing slightly. “Uh, I mean, it was really well-hidden.”
“How did they figure it out?” asks Emily from the front row, her brow furrowed in curiosity.
Harry leans on the desk behind him, arms crossed casually. “They worked out that the floorboards in that corner of the room sounded different. They were hollow. And there was a tiny scrap of dirt on the carpet that didn’t match the rest of the room.”
You nod. “They’re really good at noticing little details like that. Stuff most people would overlook.”
Another hand shoots up. “What’s the most dangerous thing they’ve had to do?” Sam asks, his eyes wide.
You exchange a quick glance with Harry. You’ve talked about this, rehearsed the details so it sounds thrilling but believable. “There was a case where they had to track down a group of thieves,” you say. “These people were stealing priceless artifacts and hiding out in abandoned buildings.”
Harry jumps in. “Our dads had to stake out one of their hideouts for hours, waiting for the right moment. When they finally went in, the thieves tried to make a run for it.”
“They cornered them in this narrow alley,” you add, your voice dropping for dramatic effect. “It was tense, but they managed to arrest all of them without anyone getting hurt.”
“That’s so cool!” says Ava, practically bouncing in her seat. “Did they get scared?”
You hesitate, but Harry answers smoothly. “Sometimes, yeah. They always say it’s normal to feel scared—it keeps you sharp. But they’re trained to handle those situations.”
“Do they ever talk about their cases at home?” another classmate asks.
“Not really,” you reply. “They keep most of the details private. But sometimes they’ll tell us little bits, like how they solved a puzzle or tracked someone down.”
Harry nods. “They’re careful not to bring their work home too much. They say it’s important to have a balance.”
The questions keep coming, and you and Harry take turns answering, weaving a web of stories that blend just enough truth with fiction to keep everyone captivated. By the time you wrap up, the class is buzzing with admiration for your “detective dads” and their incredible cases.
As you return to your seats, Harry leans over and whispers, “Think they bought it?”
You grin, keeping your voice low. “Completely. We should be detectives ourselves at this rate.”
The evening sun casts a warm golden hue over the Potter household as you and Harry burst into the living room, laughter spilling out as you hold up your project board for all to see. The presentation had been a resounding success, and the excitement buzzes in the air like static.
“Mum! Dad!” Harry calls, his voice carrying through the house. “We nailed it!”
Lily steps into the living room, wiping her hands on a kitchen towel, her hair tied back in a loose ponytail. Remus follows shortly after, holding a steaming mug of tea, a soft smile on his face as he takes in the sight of you both glowing with pride.
"Let me see, let me see!" Lily says, crouching slightly as Harry angles the board toward her. Her eyes scan over the carefully placed pictures, diagrams, and handwritten notes. "This is incredible, you two. Look at the detail!"
“We worked really hard,” you chime in, beaming. “And everyone loved our mystery theme!”
Remus nods, his amber eyes sparkling with pride. “I knew you two would do great. You’ve both been talking about this project for weeks. It’s clear how much effort you put into it.”
Sirius emerges from the hallway, his hands in his pockets and a smug grin plastered across his face. "Did someone mention mystery? Clearly, the two best sleuths had some inspiration from yours truly."
You giggle, stepping forward and wrapping your arms around him in a tight hug. He chuckles softly, ruffling your hair in response. “I’m glad you’re my detective,” you say, your voice muffled slightly against his chest.
He freezes for a moment, clearly caught off guard by the sentiment, before his arms wrap around you. “And I’m glad you’re my partner in crime,” he murmurs, his voice warm with affection.
“Oi, what about me?” Harry protests, mock offense lighting up his face. “I helped too!”
“Don’t worry, Prongslet,” Sirius says, releasing you and reaching over to pull Harry into a one-armed hug. “You’re my deputy detective.”
Remus shakes his head, hiding a small smile behind his mug. “I think Lily and I deserve some credit too. Someone had to teach you two where to look for clues.”
Harry grins and leans back. “Maybe you guys can help with our next mission.”
“Next mission?” Lily raises an eyebrow, amusement clear on her face.
“Oh, yeah,” you say with a conspiratorial nod, moving to stand beside Harry. “We already have ideas. It’s going to be even bigger than this one.”
“And, of course,” Harry adds, glancing at you with a playful grin, “we’ll need our dads to help us solve it.”
Sirius smirks. “Well, I am the best detective around.”
Remus snorts. “Debatable.”
The adults exchange amused looks before nodding in unison. “We’re in,” Sirius says dramatically, crouching slightly and holding out his hand like a pact.
You and Harry place your hands on top of his, and then Remus reluctantly adds his own. “This is going to end in chaos,” he mutters, but the soft laugh that follows betrays his excitement.
Lily watches the scene with a fond smile, her arms crossed as she leans against the doorframe. “Just don’t burn the house down,” she says, shaking her head.
“No promises!” Sirius and Harry say in unison, and the room erupts in laughter, the sound carrying into the cozy evening.

Frozen Flame
Synopsis: A college student's long-held crush on Jisoo culminates in a passionate encounter, igniting a fiery romance that awakens deep desires and intimate connections.
Word count:4.2K
This was requested and if any of you guys do have requests of the girls , please do let me know and I promise I will try my best.
The campus was alive with its usual energy—a mix of laughter, conversations, and the sounds of footsteps echoing off the pavement. You were sitting on a bench near the art building, your sketchpad open in your lap, though your pencil had long since stilled. The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the lawn, bathing everything in a warm, golden light, but your thoughts were elsewhere.
It had been another typical day, filled with classes and the usual interactions, but it was hard to ignore the ever-present undercurrent of tension that seemed to linger in the air whenever she was around. Jisoo. The raven-haired beauty who had a way of commanding attention without ever asking for it, who moved through life with a cool, collected demeanor that made her seem untouchable.
You had admired her from afar for a long time now—admired, and maybe even something more. But getting close to Jisoo was like trying to get close to a glacier; she was distant, impenetrable, and just when you thought you might be getting somewhere, she would retreat into herself, leaving you questioning everything. Even though you shared some classes and had mutual friends, Jisoo had always kept you at a distance, her interactions with you minimal, almost perfunctory.
— — — — —
Your best friend, Lisa, often teased you about your "cold crush," as she called it, though she knew better than anyone how much it affected you. Lisa was the opposite of Jisoo in every way—bright, bubbly, and always full of energy. The two of you had been inseparable since your first year at university, and she was one of the few people who knew about your feelings for Jisoo.
Today, Lisa had dragged you to a campus event, a small exhibition featuring the work of local artists. It wasn't really your thing, but Lisa was enthusiastic, and you never could say no to her. Now, as you sat waiting for Lisa to return from a snack run, your mind wandered back to the one person you couldn't stop thinking about.
You hadn't seen Jisoo at the exhibition, but that wasn't surprising. She didn't attend many social events, preferring to keep to herself or hang out with her close-knit group of friends—Jennie and Rosé. The three of them were practically inseparable, and you often caught glimpses of them together, laughing at some inside joke or deep in conversation. Jennie was the more outgoing of the trio, with a sharp wit and a playful demeanor that contrasted with Jisoo's reserved nature. Rosé was warm and kind, with a soft-spoken charm that drew people in. They were as close as sisters, and you couldn't help but envy the ease with which they interacted with Jisoo.
You sighed, staring down at your sketchpad. You had tried to draw, to distract yourself from your thoughts, but the blank page was a testament to your inability to focus. It was always like this when Jisoo was on your mind—an endless loop of what-ifs and maybes that left you feeling more confused than ever.
"Hey, Y/N! I got us some snacks!"
Lisa's cheerful voice broke through your reverie, and you looked up to see her bounding toward you, a bag of chips in one hand and a couple of drinks in the other. She flashed you a bright smile as she plopped down on the bench beside you, handing you one of the drinks.
"Thanks," you said, offering her a small smile in return.
Lisa took a sip of her drink before nudging you with her elbow. "You look like you're a million miles away. Thinking about a certain someone, perhaps?"
You rolled your eyes, but you couldn't help the small smile that tugged at your lips. "Am I that obvious?"
"Only to someone who knows you as well as I do," Lisa said with a grin. "Come on, spill. Did you see her today?"
You shook your head, your smile fading slightly. "No. I haven't seen her since yesterday."
Lisa frowned, concern flickering in her eyes. "Y/N, you've got to stop torturing yourself like this. I know you like her, but if she's not making any moves..."
"I know," you cut in, not wanting to hear the rest. Lisa was right, of course. Jisoo wasn't making any moves, and yet, you couldn't seem to let go. "It's just... complicated."
"It doesn't have to be," Lisa said softly, her tone more serious now. "You deserve someone who's going to be there for you, someone who won't keep you guessing."
You nodded, though deep down, you knew it wasn't that simple. Jisoo might have been distant, but there were moments—brief, fleeting moments—when you thought you saw something in her eyes, something that made you believe she felt the same way. But those moments were rare, and they left you more confused than ever.
"Anyway," Lisa said, clearly sensing that you didn't want to dwell on the subject, "let's focus on something else. How about we check out the rest of the exhibition? I heard there's some really cool stuff in the next room."
You nodded, grateful for the distraction. "Sure, let's go."
— — — — —
The two of you stood up, and as you made your way through the exhibition, you did your best to push thoughts of Jisoo out of your mind. But it wasn't easy, especially when you knew that at any moment, you could turn a corner and see her with Jennie and Rosé, laughing and talking as if the world outside their little trio didn't exist.
The evening passed in a blur of art and conversation, and by the time you and Lisa left the exhibition, the sun had dipped below the horizon, leaving the campus bathed in twilight. As you walked back to your dorm, you felt a little lighter, the weight of your earlier thoughts easing somewhat.
"Thanks for dragging me out tonight," you said to Lisa as you reached your building. "I needed that."
"Anytime," Lisa said with a smile. "Just remember, I'm here for you, okay? No matter what happens with Jisoo, you've got me."
You smiled, touched by her words. "I know. Thanks, Lisa."
As you made your way up to your room, you couldn't help but wonder what Jisoo was doing right now. Was she with Jennie and Rosé, laughing and talking, or was she alone in her room, lost in her own thoughts? The thought of her alone made your heart ache, but you quickly pushed it aside. Jisoo had chosen to keep her distance, and you had to respect that, no matter how much it hurt.
— — — — —
The next day was a blur of classes and assignments, and you tried to keep your focus on your work. But as the day wore on, you found yourself thinking about Jisoo again. It was like a compulsion, this need to see her, to be near her, even if she barely acknowledged your presence.
It was late afternoon when you finally saw her. You were sitting outside the library, going over some notes, when you caught sight of Jisoo walking across the courtyard with Jennie and Rosé. They were deep in conversation, and Jisoo's expression was as unreadable as ever. She didn't notice you, or if she did, she gave no indication.
You watched them for a moment, your heart sinking as you took in the easy camaraderie between the three of them. Jennie was talking animatedly, her hands gesturing as she spoke, while Rosé laughed at something Jennie said. Jisoo was more reserved, but there was a small smile on her lips, one that made your chest tighten.
Just as you were about to look away, Jennie said something that made Jisoo glance in your direction. For a split second, your eyes met, and in that brief moment, you saw something in her gaze—something dark, something intense. But before you could even process it, Jisoo looked away, her expression unreadable once more.
You sighed, your heart heavy as you watched them walk away. You couldn't keep doing this to yourself, couldn't keep hoping for something that might never happen. But even as you told yourself this, you knew you were lying. You weren't ready to give up on Jisoo, not yet.
— — — — —
Later that evening, you were in your dorm room, trying to finish an assignment, when your phone buzzed with a message. You glanced at the screen, your heart skipping a beat when you saw Lisa's name.
LalaLisa: Hey, wanna grab a late-night snack? I'm starving!
You smiled, grateful for the distraction.
You: Sure, meet you at the usual spot?
LalaLisa: Yep! Be there in 10.
You quickly gathered your things and headed out, the cool night air refreshing as you made your way to the café where you and Lisa often met. It was a small, cozy place, open late to cater to the night owls on campus, and it had become a favorite spot of yours.
When you arrived, Lisa was already there, sitting at a table near the window. She waved at you as you entered, and you quickly joined her, sliding into the seat across from her.
"How's it going?" Lisa asked, flashing you a bright smile as she pushed a menu across the table.
You returned the smile, though it didn't quite reach your eyes. "It's been a day," you said with a sigh. "I'm trying to get this assignment done, but my mind is all over the place."
Lisa gave you a knowing look, her expression softening. "Still thinking about her?"
You nodded, not trusting yourself to say more. Lisa didn't press, instead changing the subject to something light and trivial as you both ordered some snacks. The café was quiet, with only a few other students scattered around, their voices a low murmur in the background. It was the kind of atmosphere that usually helped you relax, but tonight, it felt like something was pressing down on you, making it hard to breathe.
As you sat there, stirring your drink absentmindedly, the door to the café opened, and you glanced up out of habit. Your breath caught in your throat when you saw who had just walked in. Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé. Of course, they would be here—it was one of the few places on campus that was still open late.
The three of them were laughing about something, Jennie nudging Jisoo playfully while Rosé tried to shush them, clearly aware of the quiet atmosphere in the café. They hadn't noticed you yet, but you felt your heart rate quicken as they approached the counter to order.
Lisa followed your gaze, her eyes widening slightly when she saw who it was. "Oh boy," she muttered, glancing back at you. "You okay?"
You forced a nod, trying to keep your expression neutral. "Yeah, I'm fine."
But you weren't fine. You were anything but fine. The mere sight of Jisoo, so close yet so far, was enough to send your emotions spiraling. You wanted to look away, to focus on anything else, but your eyes were glued to her, to the way she leaned against the counter, her posture relaxed yet somehow distant, as if she was there but not really present.
Just as you were about to tear your gaze away, Jennie's eyes flicked in your direction, and she nudged Jisoo with her elbow. Jisoo looked up, following Jennie's gaze, and her eyes landed on you. For a moment, everything else faded away—the low hum of conversation, the clinking of glasses, even the presence of Lisa beside you. It was just you and Jisoo, locked in a gaze that felt like it could burn right through you.
There was something in Jisoo's eyes, something dark and unreadable. It wasn't the first time you had seen that look, but it was the first time you felt like it might actually mean something. For a split second, you thought she might come over, might say something, anything, but instead, she looked away, her expression closing off as quickly as it had opened.
You felt a pang of disappointment, but it was quickly overshadowed by the flutter of nerves in your stomach. You hadn't expected her to come over, hadn't expected anything, really, but it still hurt. And yet, as much as it hurt, it also made you wonder—what was holding her back? What was she so afraid of?
Jennie and Rosé seemed oblivious to the tension, chatting away as they grabbed their drinks and headed to a table on the other side of the café. Jisoo followed, her movements almost mechanical, as if she were just going through the motions. You watched her go, your heart heavy with the weight of everything unsaid.
Lisa's voice broke through your thoughts. "That was... intense," she said quietly, her eyes searching your face for any sign of how you were feeling.
You let out a shaky breath, trying to gather your thoughts. "Yeah," you murmured. "I don't know what to do, Lisa. I just... I don't know."
Lisa reached across the table, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze. "Maybe it's time to make a move," she suggested gently. "I know it's scary, but if you don't, you're just going to keep torturing yourself like this. You deserve to know where you stand."
You knew she was right, but the thought of confronting Jisoo, of laying your feelings bare, terrified you. What if she didn't feel the same way? What if she did, but couldn't admit it? There were too many variables, too many unknowns, and it was enough to make your head spin.
But as you sat there, your eyes drifting back to where Jisoo was sitting with Jennie and Rosé, laughing at something Jennie said, you realized that you couldn't keep living in this limbo. You had to do something, anything, to break the cycle.
"I'll think about it," you said finally, meeting Lisa's gaze. "But not tonight. I just... I need to clear my head."
Lisa nodded, understanding in her eyes. "Of course. No pressure. Just remember, whatever happens, I've got your back."
You smiled, grateful for her support. "Thanks, Lisa. I don't know what I'd do without you."
The two of you stayed for a while longer, the conversation light and easy, though your mind kept drifting back to Jisoo. As you finally got up to leave, you couldn't resist one last glance in her direction. She was watching you, her eyes following your every move, and for a moment, you thought you saw something flicker in her gaze—something like longing, or maybe even regret. But before you could fully process it, she looked away, her expression unreadable once more.
— — — — —
The next few days passed in a blur. You threw yourself into your studies, trying to keep busy, trying to ignore the nagging thoughts of Jisoo that refused to leave you alone. But it was no use. She was always there, in the back of your mind, a constant, inescapable presence.
Lisa noticed, of course. She always did. But she didn't push, didn't ask questions, just offered her quiet support in the way only she could. It helped, but only a little. Because no matter what you did, you couldn't shake the feeling that something was coming, something you couldn't avoid.
It was late one evening when everything finally came to a head. You were in the library, trying to finish an essay that was due the next day, when you heard someone approaching. You looked up, expecting to see Lisa or maybe one of your classmates, but your heart nearly stopped when you saw who it was.
Jisoo.
She was standing at the end of your table, her expression unreadable, her dark eyes locked on yours. For a moment, neither of you said anything, the air between you thick with tension. Then, slowly, she moved closer, her steps deliberate, almost hesitant, as if she wasn't sure what she was doing.
"Y/N," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
You swallowed, your heart pounding in your chest. "Jisoo," you replied, your voice shaking slightly.
She didn't say anything for a long moment, just stood there, her gaze never leaving yours. Then, finally, she took a deep breath, as if steeling herself for what she was about to say.
"I... I need to talk to you," she said, her voice tight with something you couldn't quite place.
You nodded, not trusting yourself to speak. Your mind was racing, a thousand thoughts swirling in your head, but none of them made any sense. All you knew was that this moment, whatever it was, felt important.
Jisoo hesitated, glancing around the library as if to make sure no one else was around. Then, in a voice so quiet you almost didn't hear it, she said, "Can we go somewhere private?"
You blinked, caught off guard by her request. "Sure," you said after a moment, your voice barely above a whisper. "Where?"
She glanced at the door, her expression unreadable. "There's a study room upstairs. No one uses it this late."
You nodded, gathering your things and following her out of the library. Your heart was pounding, your thoughts a jumbled mess as you tried to figure out what was happening. Was this it? Was this the moment you had been waiting for? Or was it something else entirely, something you couldn't predict?
Jisoo led you up the stairs and down a quiet hallway, stopping in front of a small, unmarked door. She pushed it open, revealing a simple study room with a table and a few chairs. The walls were lined with bookshelves, the space lit by a single overhead light. It was quiet, almost too quiet, and you felt a shiver run down your spine as you stepped inside.
Jisoo closed the door behind you, her movements slow, almost hesitant. Then she turned to face you, her eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that made your breath catch in your throat.
— — — — —
The air in the small study room felt thick with anticipation as you and Jisoo stood there, the silence between you heavy with unspoken words. Her tentative nod, though subtle, was enough to set your heart racing. It was the first real crack in the icy exterior she'd always presented, a glimpse into the feelings she'd kept hidden for so long.
You took a slow, deep breath, trying to steady your nerves as you looked into her eyes. "Jisoo," you began, your voice soft but unwavering, "I've wanted to say something to you for a while now... but I never knew if I should. I didn't know if you felt the same way, or if I was just imagining things."
Her eyes flickered with something unreadable, but she didn't look away. That was all the encouragement you needed to continue.
"I like you, Jisoo. More than just... a friend or a classmate. I've liked you for so long, but you've always been so distant, so hard to reach. I kept telling myself that maybe I was wrong, that maybe you didn't feel the same way, but... I couldn't shake this feeling that there was something between us. Something real."
Jisoo's lips parted slightly, as if she wanted to say something, but no words came out. Her gaze held yours, and you could see the turmoil in her eyes, the battle between her fear and the emotions she'd been suppressing for so long.
You took a small, tentative step closer, closing some of the distance between you. "I don't want to push you," you said gently, "but I need to know. Is there a chance you feel the same way?"
For a long moment, Jisoo was silent, her gaze dropping to the floor as if she couldn't bear to look at you. Then, slowly, she took a shaky breath and whispered, "I do."
The words were barely audible, but they hit you like a wave, washing over you with a mix of relief and something deeper, something electric. She looked up at you again, her eyes filled with a raw vulnerability that took your breath away.
"I've felt this way for a long time," Jisoo admitted, her voice trembling slightly. "But I didn't know how to handle it. I didn't know how to be around you without... without feeling like I was losing control."
You stepped closer, close enough that you could feel the warmth of her body, the slight tremble in her hands as she kept them at her sides. "You don't have to be afraid," you murmured, your heart aching at the sight of her so vulnerable, so open in a way she'd never been before. "I'm here, Jisoo. I want this, too."
She swallowed hard, her eyes searching yours as if trying to find the reassurance she needed. Slowly, almost hesitantly, she reached out, her fingers brushing against yours. The touch was light, tentative, but it sent a jolt of electricity through you, setting your nerves alight.
"I don't want to mess this up," Jisoo whispered, her voice barely above a breath.
"You won't," you promised, intertwining your fingers with hers, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "We can take this at whatever pace you're comfortable with. I'm not going anywhere."
She looked at you then, really looked at you, and you could see the fear slowly melting away, replaced by something warmer, something more certain. Jisoo took a step closer, and then another, until there was barely any space left between you. Her free hand came up to cup your cheek, her touch gentle, almost reverent.
"Y/N," she breathed, her eyes dark with emotion. "I want this, too. I want you."
That was all it took for the dam to break. The next moment, your lips were on hers, capturing her in a kiss that was soft and tentative at first, but quickly deepened as the pent-up emotions between you spilled over. Jisoo's hand slid from your cheek to the back of your neck, pulling you closer as she kissed you with a hunger that matched your own.
You could feel her trembling slightly, the mix of desire and nervousness evident in every touch, every breath. Your hands found their way to her waist, pulling her flush against you as the kiss grew more intense, more heated. Jisoo let out a soft, almost desperate sound against your lips, and it was all the encouragement you needed to take things further.
Without breaking the kiss, you guided her backward until she was pressed up against the wall, your body crowding hers as you deepened the kiss. Jisoo's hands were in your hair now, her fingers threading through the strands as she held you close, as if afraid you might pull away.
But you had no intention of pulling away. You wanted this just as much as she did, and you were determined to show her just how much.
Your lips trailed from hers to her jaw, then down to the delicate curve of her neck, pressing soft, open-mouthed kisses against her skin. Jisoo's breath hitched, her head tilting back to give you better access, and you could feel her pulse quicken under your lips.
As your lips brushed against the sensitive skin of her neck, Jisoo let out a soft sigh, her hands tightening in your hair as if anchoring herself to the moment. You paused, pulling back just enough to meet her gaze once more. Her cheeks were flushed, eyes half-lidded, but there was a warmth in her expression that made your heart swell.
"Are you okay?" you asked gently, your voice barely a whisper.
Jisoo nodded, her lips curving into a small, reassuring smile. "More than okay," she murmured, her voice tender, filled with a newfound confidence.
You smiled back, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear. The two of you stood there, wrapped in each other's warmth, the intensity of the moment settling into something softer, more intimate. You could feel her heart beating in sync with yours, a rhythm that spoke of possibilities yet to be explored.
"I'm glad we're finally here," you said, your thumb lightly tracing her cheek.
"Me too," she replied, her voice tinged with a sweet sincerity. "I was so scared, but now... it feels right. It feels like it was always supposed to be this way."
With a gentle squeeze of her hand, you stepped back, giving her the space to breathe, to process everything that had just unfolded. Jisoo took a deep breath, her eyes still locked on yours, and for the first time, there was no hesitation, no lingering doubt. Just the promise of something beautiful.
"Let's take it slow," you suggested, your voice calm and steady. "We have all the time in the world, and I want to enjoy every moment with you."
Jisoo's smile widened, a soft laugh escaping her lips as she nodded in agreement. "I'd like that," she said, her voice filled with warmth. "No rush, just... us."
The two of you shared another tender kiss, this one unhurried, savoring the sweetness of the moment. When you finally pulled away, it was with a sense of contentment, knowing that this was just the beginning of something wonderful.
Hand in hand, you walked out of the room together, ready to embrace whatever the future had in store, knowing that as long as you had each other, everything would be just fine.

Can I request for Kylo Ren in which the returns with him from a failed mission? She made a mistake and maybe Kylo made it clear to her that he was very upset about it during an argument afterwards. She tries to make up for it by doing a mission on her own, only on this one she gets badly hurt and is brought back by Hux after finding her severely wounded/injured. When Kylo learns of it, he flips out thinking she wasn’t going to make it alive, but in the end, she survives and makes a full recovery. Something short and sweet in the end between them as he takes care of her during the healing process. Thanks! ❤️
(I hope this is okay! If not, feel free to ignore it!)
i love you
warnings: injury, very angsty (fluff ending), fem presenting reader (she/her pronouns), mild language, written at 1am so not the best proofreading, toxic kylo in the beginning 😓 a/n: thanks so much for the request love! i got carried away writing this lol, sorry if its a lil long!
.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .
"Shit," you cursed as you sprawled over the couch in yours and Kylo's living room. You'd messed up today. It was tiny, minuscule, just a little mistake. You hoped it wouldn't matter to Kylo. But you knew better.
The large door, black, matching most of the Commander's gloomy interior, swung open. And slammed shut. You nearly fell off the couch, already exhausted from the days work. "Hey Ky..." you trailed off. He looked absolutely terrifying. Blood on the toes of his boots. Holes ripped through his outfit. But the worst of all, his face. He looked- angry. Disappointed. Annoyed. Maybe even..disgusted?
"Shut up," He threatened, walking up to you. His arms crossed, feet spread apart, you knew you were in for it. From your spot now on the floor, huddled in a ball, you felt defenseless. "You messed up today," he scolded. "This was a covert operation. We had one shot at this, and you blew it." His voice was a low, seething growl.
"I'm sorry I had a- momentary.. lapse in judgment?" You didn't know what to say. This wasn't supposed to be a big deal. It was a tiny mess up. You forgot to disable a single security camera. Just one. It wouldn't matter anyhow, as the saber marks lining the walls of the Rebel base being hijacked was a sign as to who the attacker was.
"Sorry isn't going to fix this. We're on the brink of a war, and this mission was crucial. The Supreme Leader trusted us, and now, because of your mistake, we might have just handed our enemies a victory," he nearly shouted.
Kylo's voice rose as he continued, but it was as if you were underwater, the sounds muffled and distorted. Your eyes filled with tears, blurring your vision. You couldn't let him see you like this. "I-I'm sorry," you mumbled, as you got up from the ground and staggered to the door.
You scarcely cried. There were many things the two of you never did, which maybe you should have done. It wasn't a conventional relationship. You'd only cried in front of him once, years ago. He had left you, crumpled on the floor, unable to deal with the sudden emotion. He never told you he loved you. Not even once. You shared a ship, meals, even a bed with him, and even in your most intimate moments, he just... didn't seem to feel anything. At least on the exterior. You hoped.
"Leave me." you stammered, nose already running. "Did you think I was going to follow you? Pathetic. Absolutely worthless. Do you think I even care-" He stopped, dead in his tracks, after catching sight of your face, glimmering in tears. "M'sorry" you mumbled, and quietly closed the door behind you.
Breathing in the cool air of The Supremacy, you quickly wiped your face before any troopers nearby could catch sight. Word traveled fast, and although it was a big ship, news could be spread in mere hours. You remembered the first time you had to deal with the gossip, it had been your first one night stand with Kylo, before any relationship. You left in the dead of night, but one lucky Stormtrooper caught you on the security camera. The next day, half the the Supremacy was staring you down, and the other half was triumphantly giving you high fives (Knights of Ren included.)
Life seemed...simpler. Now you were plastered on the wall to Kylo's rooms, breathing in slightly sterile air as you tried to get your wits about you. It being 11pm already, you decided to make way to your old room. Walking down the hallway, you encountered little confrontation. That was the good part of being in relation to Kylo. Then there was the name calling, the teasing the "Commanders whore" whispered behind your back. It all made you want to cry again, and you were grateful to near your room.
As you unlocked the door, your old life greeted you. There wasn't much left really, as you had inhabited Kylo's space for the past months. You had thought maybe...maybe he was changing- that he would one day tell you how he felt? Yeah right, you thought, as you walked in, flopped down on the bed, and stared at the ceiling. Looking around you, a chair sat to your left, with a window showing the view of a million stars outside. A bathroom and dresser to your right, emptied of all your items. Not that you had any in the first place, but Kylo had spoiled you as of recent.
You couldn't stop thinking about him. His face when he saw your tears. The way he had yelled at you nonstop. The fact that he didn't seems to care.
In the dimly lit room, shadows danced across the walls like haunting specters. Suddenly feeling cold, you huddled beneath the covers of your bed. The air was thick with silence, now broken only by the muffled sobs that racked your body. Your fingers clutched at the sheets, the fabric twisted and knotted in fists of despair. With each passing moment, the tears fall harder, faster, until you couldn't breath. You gasped, shuddered, and with a pounding headache, went to sleep, soiled clothes and all.
Unbeknownst to you, Kylo stood near your door, listening to your sobs feeling...terrible. He hated hearing you cry. It filled him with disgust not in you, but now in himself. For making you feel this way. And through the Force, he heard your thoughts, the desperate calls to be openly loved that Kylo had so valiantly ignored. He thought to wake you, but instead headed back to his quarters.
.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .
The next morning, at 6 am sharp, you woke up with solid determination. You were going to show him you weren't pathetic, worthless...disgusting. You were always soft, especially in comparison to him, but you weren't pathetic. Or at least you hoped so.
As you headed to the mirror, you jumped at your reflection. That wouldn't do. You would also have to make it work with the meager amount of supplies at hand, but you could do it. After opting a shower to the refresher, so you could use scented soaps and lotions, you blow dried you hair, and styled it to the best of your ability. "Not too bad," You thought to yourself as you brushed on mascara and lip balm. "Nothing crazy" you told yourself, but betrayed your thoughts as you opted for a smaller sized uniform.
Exiting your room, you felt misery and despair inside of you, but at least you looked like you had it together. Making your way down to the control center of the Supremacy took quite a while, it being a literal Mega Class Dreadnought ship, but it gave you time to think. Think of what you were going to say to him. You could apologize. You could pretend nothing happened. You could act all mushy and touchy. Or just ignore him completely.
You decided to just fuck it and ball. Walking into the room, the control center hummed with the usual tension that permeated the First Order's headquarters. The air was thick with the weight of strategic discussions and the ever-present rivalry among its officers.
Then you saw him. The air seemed to crackle with electricity as he moved, his presence commanding attention. You had always been drawn to the enigmatic power he exuded, and despite the fight, that magnetic pull remained intact. You were immediately waved over by General Hux, and as you walked over to a control table in the very front of the room, getting closer, you regretted your decision. The mask, the robes...everything about him was just huge. Intimidating. Compared to your scantily dressed body, he looked like he could envelope you whole. Maybe you wanted him to.
Deciding to play with him a little, you boldly stood next to Hux, leaning over to look at the schematics on the table so Kylo had direct view of you. Though the mask concealed his emotions, you could sense the internal turmoil beneath it. He was distracted, and you knew why.
Hux sighed and rolled his eyes, in classic fashion. He was never one for your machinations, but continued explaining the mission at hand, obviously annoyed. You didn't bother listen, opting to shift around in a way that made Kylo's fists clench.
At what seemed like the end of the brief, Hux tiredly asked "So we'll need an Admiral or Commander to volunteer for this mission. As I know both of you do not care in the least so I will just-" You cut him off. "I'll do it." Both Kylo and Hux turned towards you, silent. "But you never do anything-" The General retorted. You roll your eyes. "Shut up Hux. I'm going." The redhead sputtered. "But-you... -You don't even care! Ever!" "Ok well, I'm a Commander, and I'm going," You spat, not bothering to glance at Kylo, who hadn't moved an inch in the last minute. You stormed away, but not before hearing Hux call "Don't screw this up Commander," and scoffing.
.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .
It wasn't going well. You had overpowered the Rebel base, which was somewhat pitiful, but managed to get a blaster wound to the side which was currently steaming in a way that did not look safe. Most of your troops had made it through, save the couple of troopers who'd been shot here and there. The masks made it harder to remember they were human, people on the inside. Limping back to your ship, you woozily asked Hux to make someone check the surrounding areas for stragglers as you slumped into the seat, adrenaline still preventing you from feeling the full pain of your wound.
Setting the TIE on autopilot, slowly coming back to reality, you looked down to the left of your torso. You had almost dodged the blast, the wound cauterized by the superheated plasma, leaving a sizzling, blackened mark on your flesh. Smoke rose from the wound, carrying with it the acrid scent of burnt fabric and singed skin. The pain intensified with each passing second, as if a red-hot poker has been driven into your side.
You clenched your teeth, trying to stifle a scream, as you grasped at the wound. Your fingers came away slick with your own blood, which oozed from the wound and trickled down your side. The ride was short. Only 30 minutes at full speed. You could probably..maybe hold on. You busied yourself coating the wound with Bacta spray, which took most the time, considering the fact that every movement made your side burn and sting like never before.
After successfully applying the antiseptic, you started to see the giant that was the Supremacy. It slowly appeared as a behemoth of steel and darkness, adorned with the stark, angular design characteristic of First Order aesthetics you had come to be so familiar with. You were on course, but you'd have to manually land the plane. "Oh for Kriffs sake" you muttered to yourself, trying to figure out how you were even alive.
You painstakingly moved your right arm to the control panel, and started the descent, aiming for one of the many hangars. It seemed to take forever, but with a final, skillful maneuver, you brought the ship to a shaky landing on the hangar deck. The ship's landing struts had absorbed the impact, but the screech of metal against metal reverberated through the hangar.
You all but fell out of the fighter, letting out a strained "I'm aight-" before collapsing into the arms of medical personnel, whom immediately transported you to the medical wing.
Not known to you, the second of your arrival, Kylo was storming down the hall, looking menacing as ever. Although he looked same as ever, on the inside, his emotions swirled inside of him. He was freaking out. He powered through the med bay, drawing terrified looks from doctors and patients alike, not stopping until he found your room.
He ripped the door open, all calm was lost. "Is she alright?" He boomed, modified voice scaring the living daylights out of the doctors and nurses surrounding you. "S-Sir, erm-Commander we think she'll most likely survive with minor s-setback" A doctor answers, inspecting the wound as to not have to face Ren.
He sat down on a chair, further terrifying the staff with his presence. "She'd better," Kylo fumed, prepared to annihilate the staff over anything. He didn't know what made him feel like this, but he was prepared to wait days for you to awake. And wait he did.
.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .
It was early morning. You had just woken up, not in the Med Bay, but... in his room. He was already awake, looking at you with those deep brown eyes. You looked around, surveying the surroundings. You were wearing his sleep clothes, all too big on you, hair smelling freshly washed. You had an IV hooked up to your arm, and the stiff bandage across your torso chafed against delicate skin.
"I'm sorry" He uttered, quietly. "I said those things, and I... shouldn't have. I'm sorry. I don't- feel like that about you. I think you're.." He trailed off. He'd never said sorry before. You didn't know how to react.
Looking at him, caring for you in your injury made you frown. "Why do you- why do you care?"
"Here, lay down. Have some soup." He nudged you gently, positioning pillows behind your head. You were so shocked, you almost forgot your previous question. "Wait, but why are you doing this?" You whisper, voice hoarse.
"Because I love you"

Hello, saw your post about httyd and I'm happy there is more people here!!!
Can i please request hiccup and female reader who lives on a small island with dragons? They're friends and she even rides one (personally i think wooly howls are so cool), hiccup finds the island while exploring with toothless and they meet.
Maybe he's fascinated that's there's someone else who's like him who's friends with dragons and doesn't want to kill them, maybe there's species he haven't seen before so he becomes a nerd (i love when he and fishlegs get like that).
It's like a small idea that i thought would be cool to see, i think as a one shot during second movie or race to the edge? Whatever you think is best.
Thank you for your time!!!
YESSSSS, I LOVE WOOLY HOWLS!!!!
I didn't watch rtte, buuutttt this is before the second movie took place 👍
I had fun writing this tbh. And, just so you know, this was written from a platonic perspective! But I also think it can be read from a romantic perspective..
Hiccup soared through the air, the salty seawater droplets making small contact with his dragon, Toothless, as they slowly ascended higher up into the sky
"How're you holdin' up, bud?" Hiccup questions as he gently pats his dragon. Toothless only let out a huff as a response, his gaze not shifting, instead focused on the scenery up ahead
Hiccup shook his head lightly, suddenly tugging on the dragons saddle as they flew up into the sky
Hiccup watched as they passed each island, every single one already being in his maps. He furrowed his brows as he let out a huff of annoyance, laying down onto his dragons back
He stared up into the sky, glaring at the clouds as he mumbled words and curses underneath his breath. Toothless paid no mind to him, his focus now on the slowly forming, seemingly unknown piece of land
Toothless let out a growl, turning his head slightly towards Hiccup to warn him. Toothless began growling, jerking his head towards the unknown land, desperately wanting for Hiccup to get out of his frustrated state of mind and to look
"What do you want Toothless." Hiccup breathed out as he sat back up, glaring at the dragon as it managed to turn his head to tug at his sleeve
"Hey- what has gotten into.." Hiccup stopped as he watched the huge piece of land slowly coming towards him, "..you" he breathed out as Toothless let go of his sleeve, facing forwards yet again
A confident smile tugged at the Berk boys lips as he quickly grabbed the saddle, laying down a bit so that the two could go faster
As the two were getting closer and closer, Hiccup watched in awe as the island became more clear
It was a pretty decent sized island, lots of greenery all throughout, but it was rich with beaches and had an odd amount of ice clinging to its side
As the Night Fury landed, Hiccup made sure there weren't any traps before getting off of Toothless. His prosthetic leg squeaked once he got off, he brushed off the nonexistent dirt off of his clothes as he looked around, a smile present on his face
Before he could even get a word out a rustle from the bushes caught his attention. He turned his head at the sound, the Night Fury quickly taking a fighting stance as it stood behind Hiccup
The boy extended his arm, motioning for Toothless to not take action as he slowly approached the rustling bush
His heart pounded in his ears as each step he took made his fear rise up. But that fear quickly disappeared once he saw a small baby dragon playing with a stick
Hiccup let out a sigh of relief as he crouched down, petting the little dragon
"You gave me quite the scare there." He chuckled, petting the top of the dragons head. The small dragon purred in delight as Hiccup slowly examined the species
"A Wooly Howl?" He questions, as if the dragon was going to give him a response. He did gain a response, but not from the small dragon
His eyes widened as he heard a low growl, his head rising up slowly to see, possibly the mother of the little dragon. He slowly began moving his hand away from the small dragon
"Hi?" He said, his voice sounding squeaky. The Wooly Howl furrowed its 'brows' as it slowly opened its mouth, presumably to attack
But the Wooly Howl closed its mouth back up as it heard a whistle, its head immediately turning towards the noise. The small dragon purred in delight as it let go of the stick and ran towards a shadowy figure
Hiccup tilted his head to the side in confusion as he inspected the silhouette. It sure didn't look like a dragon, but it didn't look fully human
Hiccup stood up, his eyes squinted as the figure slowly approached. He was even more confused when the thing came into the light
The figure stood a few feet away from the boy, one of their hands clutching onto a makeshift weapon, their mask shining under the sunlight
The figure mimicked the boy's action, tilting their head to the side as they watched him. Hiccup straightened up, and so did the figure
"What are you?" Hiccup question, although it may have been a stupid thing to ask, the boy was just the tiniest bit lost
The figure let out a chuckle, their free hand going towards their face as they slowly took off their mask. Hiccup's eyes widened in shock as he felt like the wind was knocked out of him
The person shook her head, putting her mask under her arm as she adjusted her mess of a hair
"A better question: what are you doing here?" She asked, a small smile present on her features as she tilted her head to the side, waiting for the boy to answer. The boy jumped slightly, clearing his throat as his dragon slowly walked to his side
"I am Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, the son of the Chief of Berk, and I am on a little mission of looking for.. islands." He said, hoping that his full name and title would spark fear into the girl, despite his scrawny physique
But the girl paid no mind to his word, her attention fixated on the Night Fury by his side, her lips slightly parted as she was astonished by the dragon
"A Night Fury." She whispers under her breath, slowly approaching the two. Hiccup stumbled back slightly, staring at the approaching girl in confusion, the Night Fury copying his actions
The girl extended her hand out slowly, waiting for the dragon to sniff her hand before resting his head against it. Hiccup watched in awe, but he quickly snapped out of his daze and pulled his dragon back
"Okay- who are you?" Hiccup asked, his hand gripping tightly onto his dragons saddle as he glared at her, not wanting to let his guard down
"Oh! How rude of me!" She chuckled, setting her weapon and mask onto the soft grass as she straightened up her clothes
"I am Y/n L/n.. the dragon rider?" She awkwardly chuckled, giving him a quick bow. The Wooly Howl let out a distorted chuckle behind her, making the girl, Y/n, give the Wooly Howl a quick glare
Hiccup let out a chuckle, his grip loosening before his hand slowly dropped back to his side. He shook his head slightly, looking around, although there wasn't much to look at since he landed in an area surrounded by tall trees
"Would you like a tour?" His head snapped back towards the girl, who was now oddly closer to him, "of the island." The girl added in case he was confused. He smiled, nodding his head a bit before actually speaking
"Yes, that would be appreciated." He sighed. Y/n smiled as she quickly turned around, grabbing her weapon and mask before mounting the Wooly Howl
"Follow me." She chuckled, her voice slightly muffled by the mask. In a blink of an eye, she shot up into the sky
Hiccup watched in awe as the girl ascended, but his gaze was shifted to his dragon, which had nudged him out of his train of thoughts
Hiccup mounted his dragon, quickly shooting up into the sky as he began following the girl
The two flew side by side, hiccup watching as more of the island revealed itself now that he was flying directly above. He examined the the island with interest, taking in each detail. His gaze dropped onto a small clearing which had what looked like a little shack and multiple little crops, he supposes that where Y/n lives
His breath got caught in his throat as he heard the girl beside him whistle, causing the leaves on the trees to rustle as a couple of dragons ascended into the air, flying below the two
He watched as unfamiliar dragons flew past him, giving the boy a quick glance before quickly switching their direction. He chuckled in delight, turning to look back at Y/n
She gave him a nod before making the Wooly Howl plummet towards the ground. Hiccup watched in shock, but quickly followed her actions, flying a few feet above her
She looked back up, seeing the boy following with determination. Y/n gave Hiccup a small wave, tugging lightly on her dragons fur as it changed directions, now hovering a few feet above the ground
Hiccup's eyes widened as he roughly tugged at his saddle, making the dragon quickly change directions and, luckily, not lose his balance. He let out a sigh of relief, shaking his shoulders before going back to following Y/n
He watched as she slowly made her way towards the ground. He smiled, landing down a few feet away
He jumped off of Toothless and rushed to her, his dragon not bothering to quicken his pace
"Did you get a clear view? Or do you need to take another look?" She asks, kicking the sand underneath her feet lightly. Hiccup shakes his head as he sat down onto the ground, pulling out a little notebook
"No need, I've seen enough." He replied, opening up the book to reveal a map. Y/n looked at the map with curiosity, knitting her brows together in confusion at the odd names of the islands
As Hiccup made the adjustment to his map, Y/n couldn't help but chuckle at the odd names of the islands
Once the boy had stuck the piece of paper to his map, he turned to you with a smile
"What do you call this island?" He asked, eagerly tapping his pencil onto the paper. Y/n stared at the map for a little while before turning back towards Hiccup
"Nita?" She blurted out, clearly not having any idea on what the name of the island was. Hiccup smiled and turned back towards his map
"The Land of Nita, quite catchy." He notes, writing the name of the new island down. Once he was done, he set his pencil down and watched in prude at the multiple islands he had found
He tapped his map gently before turning towards the girl yet again. Watching as the air gently blew her hair and as a smile slowly made itself present on her face
"Are you hungry?" She asks. Toothless' head shot up at her as he eagerly nodded, making the girl chuckle lightly as she stood up, motioning for the two to follow
"C'mon, I'll make you something to eat." She said, taking off her mask and giving it to her Wooly Howl, patting its head gently. The Wooly Howl gave her a huff, gently holding the mask in its mouth as it flew away from the three
The girl made her way into the woods, turning to the two as Hiccup clumsily tried to close his map
The girl chuckled, shaking her head as the boy ran towards her
"Hey- if you don't mind me asking, what was that one blue tinted dragon? I don't think I ever saw one like that!" He asks, giving a poor example of what dragon he was talking about as he began walking next to the girl, the Night Fury being a few steps behind them
The girl chuckled as she slowly began telling him the different dragons that had made their way to this island. Hiccup listened closely, the thought of his friends and father being worried slipping his mind completely as he took notes

Would you ever write what Yandere Aizawa or Present Mic would be like? Also I love your writing!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you!
Also, would you like both?
Because like goddamn, there is no escape from EITHER.
Imagine you're a fellow teacher at U.A hero academy.
You're literally the perfect thing, beautiful, (handsome), kind, innocent and intelligent. Who wouldn't like you?
When you first got a job at U.A, Shota Aizawa was pretty distant towards you. As he is to most people.
"Aizawa, would you like to-"
"No."
"But I didn't even-"
"No."
So yeah, at first Aizawa had no interest in you or what you had to offer. But you were so nice...and every kid in his class looked up to you because of how amazing you were...and Aizawa just couldn't ignore you for long. He would often hear his class talking about you in class.
"Y/N-Sensei looked so cool today!"
"How did they get their quirk to be so strong, ribbit..."
"Man!! They're so manly!"
"Tch. Whatever. Their not that strong."
"Huh? Oh, come on, Kacchan! You know their awesome! Just admit it!"
"Shut it, dunce face, before I toss you out the damn window."
These were just some of the conversations Aizawa heard about you. Most of them talked about how strong you or your quirk was, with the occasional pervy comment left by Mineta.
Aizawa gets more and more interested in you day after day. The way you dress, how you talk, he slowly but surely starts becoming more and more protective and even possessive over you.
He gets closer to you, listens to you ramble about your hyperfixations, or just anything, really.
He stil trys l convinces himself that he doesn't love you, but that ends quickly when you start dating a pro hero.
Aizawa was fucking furious. Why would you waist your time on a person who loves the spotlight more than they love you, when you could be with him?!
The only reason the person isn't dead yet, is because Aizawa doesn't want you to be upset.
So instead he just makes sure that pro hero can't climb up the hero ranks. For your whole relationship with them, that pro hero is stuck at the 30th spot.
But that all changes when you don't come to work one day. Because Aizawa is a good person, he goes to your apartment to make sure you're okay.
You end up spilling your guts out to him, cryong as you say you found out the pro hero you were dating cheated on you with a hotter co-worker.
All laws about murder, prepare to be ignored!
The raven haired man kills him, obviously. Not like a lot of people would be distraught, he wasn't popular at all. Thanks to him, of course. Hardly anyone cared, even you. That asshole treated you like shit, but you still felt bad.
Doing you a favor, Aizawa even made it seem like the girl that pro hero cheated on you with was the one who killed him, and she was sent to the slammer.
But he still didn't have you.
"Heya, Shota!" Hizashi smiles brightly as he takes a seat next to his friend in the teacher's lounge.
Aizawa simply nods at him. Hizashi tilts his head, leaning back on the chair he sits in. Hizashi isn't stupid, he can see that something's bothering his bestfriend. "Somethin' wrong, Shota?" He asks in a quieter tone, which isn't saying much.
Aizawa nods again.
Hizashi looks around the teachers lounge, making sure its empty. He leans in closer, a devilish smirk on his face. "Ya know, Shota." He whispers, wrapping an arm around his shoulder.
"I know what you did." He whispers in his ear, making Aizawa freeze. Aizawa panics inside, but he remains a calm exterior so Hizashi doesn't suspect anything. Maybe he's talking about something else.
"I know you killed that new hero, didn't you?" Hizashi finally whispers again. Aizawa freezes again. No. Hizashi...wouldn't report him to the police...would he? He wouldn't expose him! Would...Aizawa have to kill him too?
Suddenly, Hizashi smirks. "Hey, hey, don't panic." He laughs, pulling off him slightly. "You did it for L/N, right?" He asks in a very quiet tone.
Aizawa glances at him. Now he was confused. What? Why was he asking? "Why does it matter?Don't tell me I'll have to kill you too." Aizawa says in a threatening and quiet tone.
Hizashi smiles and shakes his head. "No, no!" He leans closer again. "In fact," that same devilish grin appears on his face. "I want in." He whispers.
Thats how Eraserhead and Present Mic became partners in becoming incredibly obsessed with you.
Now, Hizashi was a lot different than Aizawa, and 10 times more obsessed. He's a lot more manipulative and controlling, and very very very clingy.
Together, they work together. Aizawa kills, and Hizashi covers it up.
Hizashi puts secret cameras in your office and Aizawa watches the footage. Honestly, you should really lock your doors...
...because they also enjoy watching you sleep in person.
I mean, what?

Let me show you Crazy - Various x Jinx!Reader
Warnings: Jinx is a complex character herself. Im only using a small part of her personality to write this small piece. There is not connection to the events of arcane.
HH Violence - Cursing - Various!xReader - Platonic - Mentions of mental breakdown - Hallucinations - Past Abuse - Vaggie seems bad but she wishes the best -
The normal red sky of hell was tainted in blues and purples as laugh filled up the streeets.
Sinner who knew better took a step aside as bullet flew past them.
The target?
No one in particular.
You were just bored, and the voices kept whispering to you, if you closed your eyes silouhets of now nameless faces would appear.
Thats why you needed this.
Cherri will for sure be pissed at you for have not inviting her to your little outbrust, but hell was alywas up for another bombing so you were not so worried over it.
Just as the last bombs exploted and your gun was hot from shooting you decided to stop and find a place for the night, your hideout was too far away now to go back.
--------
You entered Angel Dust aparment without a problem, all his pink colors made you want to puke but you hold back, soon his little pet came to welcome you, seeing you as a parent figure of sorts.
Even if you have joked that you could made some good meat with it.
"Hey, who is the bitch that-" Angel stopped his cursing and lowered his guns seeing you.
"Oh, hey Spidy" You joked seeing his pet go back to him.
"(Y/N), I thought these were your bombs"
"Hell yeah they were" you responded, passing by him and getting onto his bed. "Had a sweet time shooting these fuckers off"
"Yeah...thanks for the invitation" Angel joked back getting on the side of the bed. He knew how unestable you could be, but he could figure when you were out having fun and when you just needed to be out.
Maybe his way to cope with trauma was sex, yours was violence, this was hell, everyone did what they could.
"I thought you were being re made Spidy, the Princess got a nice place? I might just crash there next time"
Angel had to sight to himself imagining the chaos you would make, not only that, you would for sure make Alastor lose his cool the second you set foot into the hotel.
"Yeah well, you get a room, food, all free, i think you should try it" Angel said seeing you play with your hair. Now he did think you should try it, maybe it could help you, maybe you could get better.
"Uh, it seems too good to be true" You responded looking past Angel to nameless figures now behind him, one of them biting Angels neck and the other one just staring at the roof.
"N-no, i dont need help. Hey! shut up, who said that i was considering it? NO!! IM NOT WEAK" Angel stood aside as you passed by his aparment, your hands on your hair pulling pieces of it, talking to things that were not there. "SHUT UP, YOU KNOW NOTHING".
"(Y/N)...." Angel tried when he saw you fall to your knees, memories of a terrible past revealing itself to you.
"I SAID, SHUT UP" Angel found himself with a gun to his face. Your gun, with trembling hands, you were not looking at him but at someone else, someone who had hurt you at some point.
Angel had to thank whatever was above him by his agility, because not a second later you shoot to now an empy space. He quickly moved to take the gun from you and get you in a hold.
"Shh, its me, Angel Dust, remember? Its me, your friend, you little blue flare, you got nothing to be scared of" Angel told you half screaming, and having just enough emotion in his voice to break you from your episode.
"Angel?"
"Yes Y/N?"
"Are you real?" You asked not knowing what was going on anymore, Angel felt his eyes tear up as he let go of you to hug you properly.
"Of course Im you idiot, why do you want to be alone so much?"
You did not respond, these were the few times your mind was quiet. No voices, no images, just the present, you still did not know if he was real, if he was talking to you, or if he was other one of your friends.
"Hey, what are you thinking about?" Angel asked easily picking you up and taking you to his bed.
"I- I dont want to be alone" was all you said as he pulled the blankets up to you and took your hand in his.
"You wont"
-------------
"Do you know who that is?" Vaggie asked pointing at you and Angel. You were looking at everything in the loby of the hotel with Angel trying to keep you in check.
"Yes, they are a sinner who needs help" Charlie responded her girlfriend also looking at your somehow childish behaviour.
"Thats Jinx, is one of the most unestable and unpredictable sinners from the circle, and thats is something to say with how many we got"
"Vaggie, I offer salvation to anyone, I dont care who they are as long as they want to be saved"
"And you think they want to be saved?" Vaggie asked somehow exasperated by now.
Before Charlie could respond you appear besides her, giving her a crushing hug.
"I must say Princess, Spidy said this place was neat but he did not mention it was this good, where is my room? oh! can i decor it? I love blue you see, and I paint, you wanna see some of them? SHH, WHO SAID SHE WONT LIKE IT?"
"Jinx!!" Charlie said not noticing you almost having another episode but pulling you right back into the hug. "Yes! of course you can decorate, and i would love to see your art"
This made you smile, taking her hand and pulling her towards a near table where your stuff was.
"Can my room be besides Spidy?"
Charlie just nodded already exploring your odd draws.
-------
"I need to talk with you" Vaggie said, not happy to have come to this but seeing it as necesary.
"Oh? and what will you need from me?" Alstor asked smirking at her.
"Jinx, if she does something to hurt Charlie or the hotel purpose..."
"What?" Alastor knew what Vaggie wanted, and knew who you were. True to be told, he did not like you being in the hotel, you could ruin everything, but he also liked a good show, and that needed good characters, and you were for sure one hell of one. So he could let you stay and watch you and your actions.
"...Stop them, however you need to do it" Was all Vaggie said. Now wanting to listen to Alastor moral speech she went back to her and Charlies room.
Now, Alastor would not let himself be ordered like that ny anyone, but he knew Vaggie wishes and his own reasons did aline this time. He will let it pass, and maybe use it for the future.
If Charlie knew Vaggie was going behind her back, telling Alastor to dispose of troublemaker sinners....well she would be heartbroken.

It's a painfully hot day in Jackson, Ellie is wondering how Shimmer is doing down in the barn and contemplating about going there to spend some time with her beloved horse. The sun gives everything an extra glimmer and the roads hold small puddles of fata morganas, amusing her as always - astronomy it's her main target of curiosity but physics it's there too.
While she fixes her shoelaces and checks her pockets for the keys, she also looks at the small handmade candy wrapped in a simple paper, standing on the bench next to her door. The grocery brings back delightful memories of when you runned up to her with the cutest smile, a hand in her direction.
"Ellie, I made this candy from a recipe I found in one of those books, took some for you", you had no idea how that gesture reached the Williams girl right into the heart.
"Oh, thanks…!" She looked down at the brownish treat. It seemed to be so tasteful and you were known amongst your friends to be a very talented cook.
"So, are you coming to the Tipsy Bison tonight?" You put your hands in your back pockets. Ellie could only see a part of your tattoo coming out of your short sleeve, wondering what the entirety of it would look like.
"Uh, yeah, I guess. If I can finish all my tasks", she would definitely drop them if that meant to see you.
"Okay, cool! See ya later, then", and just like that you left with a small wave and a sweet smile.
Inside, Ellie beat herself up for not asking something like "oh do you want me there?" to slightly make a move and test the waters. You would always leave her speechless, lagging, absolutely fumbling on her words to even put a goof full sentence out.
On this incredibly hot day, she thinks it's finally the time to maybe taste your candy. She hasn't done it yet because… Maybe because she was holding onto the mere fact that you thought about her and went out of your way to give her some handmade candy. It was such a sweet act, it made her daydream for days and literally kick her feet when laying on her bed that night, thinking about your pretty eyes and cute lips.
Deciding to save for that night, she finally heads out to the hot weather and bright sun. The sunglasses she found on a supply run unfortunately were broken, she could make good use of them now.
It didn't take long to reach the barns, the shadow of the roof presenting a hope to cool down. The horses seemed to not mind the heat that much, and today was bathing day.
"Morning, Els", Pedro, a 15 year-old boy waved at her. She smiled back, finally facing Shimmer on her usual spot. But the horse wasn't alone.
In the barn, a brush in hand, stands you. Mindlessly stroking Shimmer's fur in circles, your back is not fully out since you're still with a tank on but Ellie can finally see the rest of your tattoo; it's a big tiger, an image mostly on your back with just a paw sticking on your front, under the clavicle - the part Ellie could always see. Today, it moves as your muscles do the same and you murmur a random melody, eyes careful to put the attention on the horse's fur.
The brunette has to take a deep breath before proceeding into the barn, trying to pull out that chill, laid back facade to hide the way you make her almost melt into a puddle.
"Hey, see you got up early today" She has you stopping on your tracks to look over your shoulder, immediately smiling fondly when seeing her.
"Yeah, I got the bathing job today so I didn't want to leave it until later", dirt falls from Shimmer's fur as you brush it. She's not the dirtiest one usually, but after some runs between the last bath and this one a significant amount of dirt is coming off. "Where have you been putting her to, by the way?"
"Oh, we found an old ranch somewhere west and I decided to let her run around a bit. It made a big cloud of dirt around her", Ellie chuckles as she gets closer from the horse, patting her neck. "This big girl enjoyed herself very much"
"Well, that's good, though", you go back into looking straight to your front, oblivious to how Ellie's gaze falls on your tranquil figure.
She captures the bridge of your nose and your adorable cheeks, the ones she just wanna kiss all the time so badly. Your hair, away from your face today, your attractive lips and the prettiest eyes she has ever seen. With your back to the barn's door, you almost glow in front of the light coming from outside. Like a divine vision, straight out of a fantasy book, demanding to be worshiped by the auburn haired girl. She feels her chest tightening and that feeling spreading to her arms and stomach, like it always does when she's around you; a visceral need to touch you in any possible way.
Shimmer ruffs and bumps her snout into Ellie's face, almost like she's calling her back to Earth.
"Easy", Ellie chuckles again, now trying to hide the last moment. From who? She doesn't know, there's just you, her and the horses here, but she feels so exposed whenever she's around you.
"It might sound crazy, but I do believe these horses have personality", you suddenly comment, turning to grab a comb.
"Right?! Oh, Jesse keeps saying I am crazy, that they're just horses, but I do feel this too! One time Shimmer laughed when she saw me fall. Like, a horse laugh, but I swear it was a laugh", and just like that, Ellie's loosening up.
Your laugh fills the space as you stand next to Shimmer to comb her black tail. Now facing your back again, Ellie takes in how your back muscles press your dark tank top and how your waist seems to call her hands to grab it, hold you from behind close to her chest. The desire to have your scent consuming her mind is so strong, she thinks she might actually pass out.
This is getting so out of hand.
"So", she clears her throat, looking around for another comb to work on Shimmer's mane. "Are you going to be here all day?"
"Tipsy Bison at six", you don't even care to look back at her, focused on the tail.
"Do you ever sleep?"
"Yeah, very well, actually", you chuckle. "Tomorrow I have nothing in the morning, so I can compensate"
"Oh… I thought we could, y'know…", she's trying to collect the millions of thoughts running around her mind at the same time, trying to not fuck this up. "Have a sleepover one of those nights… When you're free, I mean… But we don't have to if you don't want it- it was just an idea"
"It's a great idea!" The way you smile, turning to look at her, has her heart clenching. It's so genuine and sweet, just like you always do whenever you see her coming around and go compliment her. Do you even know the way she loses balance at each one of those acts? "The last sleepover was so long ago. We should call Dina and Jesse too"
"Yeah, absolutely", she rests her head on Shimmer's neck when you turn your attention to the tail again, cursing silently.
The rest of Shimmer's bath was calm, you both kept talking about whatever. At one point, when Ellie was rinsing the horse's back legs, Shimmer just threw her tail on the girl's face, making you laugh out loud and the auburn haired girl look stunned.
In the end you both got out a little cooled down due to splashes of water, past midday after bathing all horses. It was easier with two people, after all.
"So, I guess I'll let you get going to change and go to work…"
"Aren't you coming to the Bison tonight?"
"Oh, yeah, I guess I'll pass by", she tried to sound chill and nonchalant, not revealing how she always planned to go there as long as she wasn't patrolling.
"Okay, see you there then!" And you fucking leaned to kiss her on the cheek, smiling while you waved goodbye and turned in your street, leaving Ellie dumbfounded.
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
If a stare could create holes, Jesse and Dina would cause trypophobia in anyone. Ellie was sitting across from them on the table, holding a beer bottle so tightly that it could break at any giving moment. Standing next to the table was you, listening to their shitty excuses about not being able to attend to the sleepover, oblivious to their real intentions.
"Oh, I get it, it's fine. Guess it'll be just me and Ellie then", you shrug, smiling to the auburn haired girl. She smiles back immediately under your gaze. "We'll, I have to go back to behind the counter, go talk to me if y'all need anything"
And she stares at your back while you walk away, always looking so fine while handling the objects behind the long wooden table.
"You're welcome, by the way", it's Jesse who says it, smirking.
"I'd beat the shit out of you if we weren't in public", she groans, rolling her eyes.
"Oh, come on! It will be nice having her all by yourself for a night, uh? Then you can silently pin over her while pretending to pay attention to some random ass movie", Dina is looking up like she's pondering the scenario.
"Shut up", her hands start to sweat with anticipation, all the possibilities running through her mind.
What you'll be wearing, what you both will watch, if you are going to sleep next to her, if she'll be able to hold you close absolutely in a friendly way, if you'll laugh and have a good time with her. Ellie thinks about the tragedies implicated in being alone with you for the whole night, how embarrassing it can be, how she'll combust just by looking at you so closely, yet, so far.
"Stop overthinking. Just wear those flannels, she likes it"
"No, she does not!" Her face warms up, because of the alcohol, of course.
"She already complimented you ten times about that shirt", Jesse points out.
It was true, though. And each and every time, Ellie almost melted into a puddle in front of your chaste gaze. If you only knew what ran through her mind when she looked at you…
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
This was messy, and Ellie didn't know what to do anymore.
At some point of the night, you decided to play a game and Ellie just agreed - because what could go wrong? Not going far from the known route, you opted for a Q&A game in which each one asked a question and the other one had to answer it or respond with another question. It would be nice and silly, if the given situation wasn't hard enough for Ellie.
You were sitting in front of her, legs crossed on the couch, in a tank top and the smallest shorts Ellie has ever seen you on - which was cool, it was okay, she could manage that because she was already used to holding her shit together next to you. But everytime you moved around, for some reason, that night, she just wanted to pull you close once and for all. An inexplicable energy was emerging from the whole situation and she couldn't grasp it properly, but it made her restless.
Her hands tingle whenever you lightly hold her arm or her leg, she starts to wonder why you were so touchy generally, but tonight more than ever. An indescribable feeling comes from her guts each time you laugh and lean on. She might as well be going crazy.
So, it was already hard enough. But then you asked her if she was currently into some girl around town and that was the first time Ellie responded with another question.
"Why do you wanna know?" It sounded like she was caught off guard, and that bought your attention.
"I was just curious… But your answer makes me think that you actually are", you smirk, playful.
"I didn't say I was"
"Didn't say you weren't either", damn you for being clever.
"But that doesn't mean anything…" The auburn haired girl looked away, resting her arm on the back of the couch.
"Is it Dana?"
"No" Dana was another woman that regularly worked on the Tipsy Bison. She was pretty and polite, but Ellie wasn't interested in her - not with you around. And she was so desperate to direct the conversation somewhere else that she missed the way your voice changed.
"So there is someone, it's just not Dana?"
"Why are you so interested?"
Why were you so interested? It was because of the game, right? Your only concern now was the fact that Ellie didn't answer your initial question, so you had to dig to the bottom of this topic. That sudden sting on your stomach when thinking about Ellie pining over Dana was just the prospect of your close friend having a crush on your coworker and not telling you. Absolutely.
It probably had nothing to do with the way you were weirdly infatuated by Ellie tonight, with her hair on a bun and a halfway buttoned up flannel - with nothing but a top underneath it. Or how she seemed to glow under the warm light of her room and her presence brought the biggest comfort you've ever felt in weeks. Or how her lips seemed so attractive right now, calling for your sight when she nervously bit the bottom one. Little scars were splared around her face amongst the freckles, gifts from a bunch of branches that accidentally crashed into her face once, during a patrol.
"Because… I'm your friend and I would like to know when you're interested in someone. I mean, we tell this type of stuff to each other, right?"
Not all the stuff, Ellie thought.
"Yeah, I guess. Well, you actually have never told me something like that"
"That, my beloved, is because I have nothing to tell. You know it, I'm not interested in anybody as for now"
"Or for any other time on this town"
"Ouch!" You chuckled, lightly punching her shoulder. "You're not getting away from this topic. I'll name every woman our age and you'll tell me when it's the one"
The auburn haired girl tried very hard not to express any compromising expressions, especially after the list ended and you didn't say your own name.
You couldn't think of any other person that fit into the category, and that was odd. Because if there was someone, then it should be one of those.
"Oh, you're lying!"
"I'm not!"
"You just said 'no' to every single name"
"That's the reality of the situation"
"But there is someone?!"
"You said that, not me", she shrugged.
"Alright", you seemed resigned, looking away from her green eyes. "If you don't want to tell me, that's fine"
A sting got it right into Ellie's chest. She liked you too much to let you be this way, but at the same time she didn't want to tell you. The amount of terrible things that could happen; losing you and your friendship was at the top of this list, and it was bad enough.
"It's not it, I swear", Ellie collected all the strength to softly hold your face; now she was doing it as your friend who didn't want to see you sad. She turned it so you could face her, stare at her eyes full of vivid green. "I swear, you didn't say the name"
"Okay", you sigh, trying to understand what was that feeling on your stomach that grew while her fingers still supported your chin.
"Now… Wanna watch another movie?" Her thumb caressed your face with tenderness, inside she hoped this made you less uneasy.
"Yeah", it got cold when she retracted her hands to reach for the DVD options you both picked for tonight. "You can chose it now"

── izuku midoriya and eijirou kirishima exchange presents ──
characters: izuku midoriya and eijirou kirishima
prompt: presents
The light of the menorah glows bright inside Midoriya’s dorm. The sound of music softly makes its way into Midoriya and Kirishima’s ears. The two are sitting on the floor, holding boxes with bright blue and gold wrapping paper on it.
Kirishima grins widely, his shark-like teeth shining in the dimly lit room. “Are ya ready?”
Midoriya smiles back and nods, holding out his gift for Kirishima to unwrap. “You first.”
Kirishima sets the present he was holding down and takes the one from Midoriya’s arms, practically jumping with excitement. “What’s it gonna be~?” He shakes the box, hearing something thump as it bangs against the sides.
Midoriya laughs, loud and carefree. “Hey you can’t do that! That’s cheating!”
Kirishima laughs as well. “Alright alright! Hmmmm let’s see … What would Mr. Izuku Midoriya give me for Hanukkah?” Midoriya hides his laughter with his palm, giggling at the boy's antics.
After a few minutes, Kirishima gives up and starts ripping the paper off the box. He then hardens his finger and lightly, careful as to not rip the gift inside, cuts open the box.
Midoriya fidgets excitedly as he waits for Kirishima to reveal the gift he got him, rocking back and forth on his knees.
Once he finished cutting, Kirishima didn’t hesitate to pull the gift out of its confinement, his hard fingers holding onto something soft. Inside the box was a square pillow with the face of Crimson Riot on it. The pillow was wearing his signature costume, and he was smiling.
Kirishima gasped loudly. “AW HELL YEAH!!!” He turned it around in his hands, making sure to look at every angle.
Midoriya smiled. “Do you like it? It’s a Pillow Pet, which means it can be a pillow and a stuffed animal. A two in one! And the company personally collabed with Crimson Riot to make it so it can’t be ripped, it’s hard just like him and-”
Kirishima cut him off from his rambling. “Seriously?! No way! That’s so cool!” He dropped the pillow and practically jumped on Midoriya, hugging him. “This is the best gift ever! So manly! Thank you!” He covered his face in kisses, so overwhelmed with joy.
Midoriya giggled while he did this. “I’m so glad that you like your gift Ei! But don’t forget it’s my turn now.” Kirishima laughed loudly and got off of Midoriya, crawling back over to his spot and handing Midoriya his present.
Midoriya wasted no time ripping the paper off of the box. He then grabbed a pair of scissors and carefully cut open the cardboard box.
Kirishima leaned forward in excitement and suspense. “Oooooo what’s it gonna beeeee?” Midoriya snorted. “You’re the one who got it for me, you should know.” Kirishima laughed with him.
After a few seconds, Midoriya finally finished cutting the box. His eyes lit up as he opened the box, revealing the gift. He practically shrieked as he took out a Customized All Might Build-a-Bear, wearing his last costume and signature smile. “OhmyfuckinggodhowCUTEEEEEE!!”
Kirishima smiled lovingly as Midoriya held the stuffed animal to his chest, squeezing it tight. “Take a look at his foot,” he said mischievously.
Midoriya immediately turned the bear upside-down and looked at its feet, a familiar signature written in red on the left foot.
Kirishima grinned wider. “Took a while to figure out, but after finding someone with the quirk to make things stick permanently I can officially declare that that signature will not wash away.”
Now it was Midoriya’s turn to leap into Kirishima’s arms, tears falling down his face as he squeezed him. “This! This is! I! Kirishima!”
Kirishima chuckled and hugged him back, pressing a kiss into his hair. “We both know each other pretty well huh.”
Midoriya chuckled and nodded, still hugging him.

The light of the menorah glows bright inside Midoriya’s and Kirishima’s room. The sound of music softly makes its way into their ears. The two are sitting on the floor, holding boxes with bright blue and gold wrapping paper on it.
Kirishima grins widely, his shark-like teeth shining in the dimly lit room. “Are ya ready?”
Midoriya smiles back and nods, holding out his gift given by Kirishima. “3. 2. 1.”
The two men tear the paper off and rip open the boxes, revealing their gifts.
In Kirishima’s hand is a square pillow with the face of Red Riot on it. The pillow was wearing his signature costume, and he was smiling.
In Midoriya’s hand is a Customized Deku Build-a-Bear, wearing his last costume and signature smile.
The two men looked at each other, mirroring the smiles on their gifts.
“We both know each other pretty well huh.”
Midoriya chuckled and nodded. “Yeah.”

Imagine Dean Winchester x You
Dean comforts you after a bad dream.
In the dead of the night, your peaceful slumber was shattered by a vivid, unsettling dream. You jolted awake, breathless and disoriented, your heart racing as if trying to escape the clutches of that haunting dream.
Dean, who had been sound asleep beside you, was awakened by your sudden movement. He propped himself up on his elbow, concern etched across his face as he looked at you.
"Hey," he whispered gently, his hand reaching out to stroke your arm. "You're safe. It was just a dream."
You tried to steady your breath, the images from the dream still fresh in your mind. "It felt so real, Dean. Like I was right there, trapped."
He pulled you into a comforting embrace, letting you rest your head against his chest. "I know, but you're here with me now. You're safe," he reassured you, his voice soothing like a balm for your frayed nerves.
You clung to him, taking comfort in the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her ear. Slowly, your breathing began to regulate, and the remnants of the nightmare started to fade.
"It was just a dream, Y/N," Dean repeated, his voice a gentle murmur. "You're okay."
Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes, but you fought them back, not wanting to give in to the fear that the dream had left behind. You took a deep breath, trying to ground yourself in the present moment.
Dean continued to hold you close, his embrace a shield against the shadows of the night. He pressed a soft kiss to the top of your head, the gesture so tender it almost made your heart ache.
"I'm here," he whispered, his words a promise. "I'm not going anywhere."
You nodded, grateful for his presence, his unwavering support. "Thank you," you managed to say, your voice barely more than a whisper.
He pulled back slightly, his eyes filled with warmth and understanding. "Anytime, Y/N. You don't have to face these things alone."
You knew he meant it. In that moment, the depth of his care for you was palpable, and it provided a sense of comfort that eased the remnants of the nightmare.
Dean tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear, his touch gentle and reassuring. "How about we get a glass of water? Maybe that'll help clear your head."
You nodded gratefully, feeling a little more steady. Dean got out of bed and headed to the kitchen, returning with a glass of water, which you sipped slowly, the cool liquid soothing your nerves.
As the minutes ticked by, the edges of the nightmare blurred, and the warmth of Dean's presence worked its magic. You felt a sense of safety wash over you, allowing to let go of the fear that the dream had instilled.
"I love you," you whispered, your voice carrying the weight of your gratitude.
Dean smiled tenderly, leaning down to press a soft kiss to your forehead. "I love you too. Always."
