Shinobu and Raizo had taken a liking to you since you were a kunoichi yourself, both being surprised but impressed to hear you were from an offshoot of Wano, asking how the village was doing and making plans to go there once Wano’s borders were opened.

Two nights before the raid, Sanji finally worked out some time for the two of you to spend and relax, he made a dinner for just the two of you, that Luffy tried multiple times to sneak a bite from until Nami pulled him away and gave him the dinner Sanji made for all of them. The last time Nami had to drag him away made you laugh, while Sanji just rolled his eyes.

“Bottomless pit, that’s what he is.”

“We’ve known that for two years now.”

You giggled, leaning into Sanji’s arm with your head on his shoulder, causing him to kiss the top of your head before you sighed happily.

“I’m glad to have this time with you…everything’s going to be insane day after tomorrow.”

“Yeah…but it’ll be okay. We’ll free this place and then be on our way again.”

“I know, it’s just…getting there is going to be a lot.”

Sanji knew you were probably worried about him, honestly about everyone, but he was the only one you were expressing those worries to. He wanted you to be relaxed and to know that everything would be perfectly fine. Robin had talked to him about how you were seeming more worried as time went on, as the raid got closer, and he got an idea of how to maybe calm you down, but it might also make you even more worried, he wasn’t sure of what to do.

Do I ask her now…? Is this a weird time to propose?

Before he even had a chance to say anything, the two of you were being called by Usopp for something about the raid, making you sigh with a slightly sad smile on your face before looking at Sanji.

“Duty calls. But,” you stopped and kissed him before getting up to go see what was going on, both of you smiling after, “This was lovely, Sanji, you’re the best boyfriend ever.”

“Stop, I’m just taking care of my beautiful girlfriend…we’ll do this again, okay?”

“Of course. I love you, Sanji~”

“I love you too, my dear.”

"No I…I didn't do anything!"

"You're the only one who could have!"

The geishas threw things at Sanji to get him out of the room, it barely phased him as he did so, wondering what on earth just happened. He had no idea! He'd been running off from Queen and the other Animal Pirates to get his thoughts in order over the oddities he'd noticed about himself recently, so lost in thought he didn't have any clue what caused this one geisha to go flying.

Though, his greatest fear now was that he had caused her to become hurt. Maybe it really was the only thing that made sense. Was he losing himself to that Germa science raid suit?

"Let me see that Germa science, Judge's son!"

Queen kept up his attempts to rile Sanji in order to see the raid suit technology, which Sanji kept denying. This time he was still so lost in thought, wondering what you, over anyone else, would have thought seeing what just happened.

Or worse…what if I hurt [Y/N] next time?

If he hurt you because of those genetic abilities, Sanji would never forgive himself. He'd never forgive his father or Germa for anything anyway, but should their science cause him to harm the most important person in his life, all that blame would fall on his own shoulders. He'd only meant to test the raid suit, not become dependent upon it or let it awaken the monstrous abilities his brothers had from the start. He never thought that would be possible after Reiju explained why he was so different from the rest of them.

Tell me, Luffy….which would you prefer? The regular flesh-and-blood me who turns into a helpless wreck when facing a woman, or a cruel emotionless warrior of science who can kill without discrimination if you give the order? Which of these would be more useful to you, as king of the pirates?

Despite his thoughts wondering if Luffy would somehow be better served by Germa's science, Sanji's thoughts also drifted to you as he retrieved the raid suit from his pocket. Which version would you prefer? Someone willing to kill anyone without qualms if so directed, or would you still prefer the emotional mess of a man that doted on you and had your respect for sticking to his principles of not fighting a woman?

"I've made up my mind."

"Ooh," Queen's excitement over seeing the raid suit was quite obvious, "is that your raid suit?!"

"I have to assume that this thing caused the science already in my body to awaken and activate somehow," Sanji dropped the raid suit to the ground, lifting his foot while Queen watched him stomp on the canister, "Well, I can't do anything about that! But I can say no more! I won't become a Germa soldier!"

"Aww what a waste!! I wanted to see you transform!"

Pulling out a baby transponder snail, calling Zoro and letting him argue with him briefly about his reasoning for slipping it into his band, Sanji hated making such a request of Zoro of all people.

"We're gonna win this but…after the finisher if I'm not…in my right mind, I need you to kill me."

"All right, fine! I'll kill you after this is over, whatever that means!"

"And I…need you to tell [Y/N]--"

"I'm not saying anything sappy!"

There was no time to argue or fight, so Sanji just nodded. He figured it'd be a long shot anyway.

"At least I'll have something to look forward to after this. So don't die until then!"

"Thanks."

"Hey," they were short on time, but Zoro decided he'd say one more thing, "I'll tell her."

"Appreciate it."

"Oh my gosh, Sanji, what happened?!"

You had finished helping Usopp and Nami get Otama somewhere safe, and returned back into the castle to search for anyone else that needed help or to find the rest of your comrades. After finding most everyone, though you had no idea where Zoro was really and knew Luffy was on the roof, you ended up finding a room with some geishas who were tending to Sanji's injuries. You were instantly on your knees beside him asking the geisha girl next to him what happened.

"He…he fought and defeated Master Queen!! He protected me after we accused him of attacking me!"

You might have to ask him about that last bit later, but you were so relieved to hear Sanji was all right, he was just injured but was being treated by the geishas.

Of course you protected her, you sweet man..

Leaning over, you gently kissed his forehead which surprised the geisha girl, Osome, you'd later learn.

"You're so amazing. I love you, Sanji."

"O-Oh, are you two…?"

You smiled at Osome with a nod. "Yes! He's the love of my life! Thank you for taking care of him!"

"I-It's the least I could do after he saved Chuji!"

The little mouse squeaked and made you smile softly. Osome explained everything to you, while you stayed by Sanji for the moment, brushing his hair back out of his face and holding his hand. After you heard the whole story, knowing Sanji wasn't at fault for Osome being hurt and that he'd beaten Queen, you stood up when you heard some shouting about the fire.

"Can you stay with him for me? I'm going to go help some others!"

"Y-Yes!"

"Thank you!"

You ran out of the room, promising yourself and Sanji that you two would get some time alone again soon, and you'd tell him how proud you were of him.

It's a beautiful day, the birds call to each other over the ship, deep blue waves crash against the sides, the sky is spotless. You stare wistfully at the picturesque scene the porthole creates. The hammock you and your boyfriend share sways with the boat and you tighten your grip on his hand each time you feel yourself begin to tip-- and each time, he smirks. You knew he wouldn't let you fall, but it really wasn't up to him, and the way the hammock turned sometimes you felt you were about to crash to the floor if you made any larger movements. "What are you doing tomorrow?" Snapped out of your thoughts, you peered up at the swordsman.

"What do you mean?" you ask. Normally you don't exactly plan to do the things you and the crew get up to. "Nami told me there's a market in the port, gave me a list. What's your job?" Zoro replies, mumbling the last parts in annoyance. "Oh," you say, glancing from the shiny gold pieces dangling from Zoro's ears, to the small potted plant you had picked up in a previous port-side town that now sits on the table. Giggling, you say to him, "I didn't get assigned something to do tomorrow, but Nami did tell me there was a market if I wanted to go get anything." "What?! Do you think she told Sanji or Usopp to do anything?!" He asks, obviously annoyed. "I don't know," you reply, "but I can go with you." It sounds nice actually, maybe it'll be just you and him, a date. "No, it's fine I don't need any help," Zoro says-- you could be offended by how he put this, but you know he just doesn't like unnecessary help and it's the only reason that crosses his mind of why you'd want to go. It's not romantic, you're running an errand that could literally be done by anyone else, he could attempt to help Franky and Usopp build another contraption, or explore the town with you and Luffy, let Sanji get the groceries! He adjusts his hand and sweeps his thumb across your knuckles, letting out a huff of frustration. "What if I just want to spend time with you?" you say, sliding the hand Zoro's not holding, over his bicep and givng it an affectionate squeeze. You press your lips to his warm skin, pulling away and looking up at the swordsman you see he's turned as red as Luffy's shirt.  "We- I-... We'd just be getting groceries. I-it's not fun o-or romantic.. or.. anything..." he mumbles.

You really want to laugh, really, really want to, but you don't. You feel your heart swell and it feels like it's going to burst out. Zoro's face is still bright red but now your cheeks start to flood with color too. Leaning up, you capture Zoro's lips in a sweet kiss and feel his free arm come up to steady you as the hammock still sways, placing his hand firmly on your waist. You're just pulling away when a large wave rushes under the boat, rocking the hammock. You fall against Zoro, though it went unnoticed as he'd already pulled you against him when he felt the hammock jerk.  "Be careful," Zoro mumbles, cheeks burning as he looks down at you with your face pressed against his bare chest.  "Sorry~, but let me come with you tomorrow," you say smiling up at the swordsman. Pushing yourself up carefully on your elbow, you settle into a more comfortable position and continue.  "It'll be fun if we're together, and it'll be so nice to have some time together off the ship again." You say. It's not often that you and Zoro get time alone anywhere, normally you'd have a task or chore or something that kept you apart and busy, and when you didn't you usually weren't alone.  "...Okay-- but tell Nami to give Sanji the list next time, he's the one who cooks!" Zoro says with a huff. You put your head down on his shoulder with a laugh and Zoro can't hide the smile that tugs at his lips.  -- The next day -- The morning fog had cleared by the time you landed in the port, revealing a bustling community with a port-side market lined with colorful stalls of fresh foods and intricate crafts. The dock grew closer and as Franky maneuvered the Sunny into place, Zoro came down from the crows nest. The crew met in the kitchen. It'd be a two day stay, a quick stop for food and fuel and a bit more time to let a passing storm go by.  "Zoro, I want you to look closely at each item I've written down and each item you pick up." Nami says, pointing to the paper in her hand that she then folds and hand to an annoyed looking Zoro.  "I'm not a kid! And I only messed up once!" He claims.  "Three times." Nami says glaring stiffly at him. "Then don't send me to do it!" Zoro shouts, his ears turning red with frustration. "ZORO! Do not shout at Nami-chan!" Sanji shouts back at the swordsman, fists clenched.  "Shut up!" Zoro responds. "Maybe I should send someone else..." Nami begins to say, looking around the room. "No it's okay, Zoro and I can do it," you say, eyeing your boyfriend and the cook who are getting a little too aggressive with their argument in the corner.  "Oh! Y/N you're going with Zoro? That'd be perfect-- here!" Nami says, grabbing the note back from Zoro and taking out another, noticeably longer one and folding it. She hands it to you and smiles, "I trust you! Watch him!", Nami points at Zoro who's grabbing Sanji by the shirt collar. You laugh and grab Zoro's arm, dragging him away from the cook.  "You can count on us! Be back soon everybody!", and with a smile you push Zoro out the door.

Plot: After saving some of the straw hat crew from a prison, the crew help takes a young man away so he can have a fresh start in life. He's shy but seems to grow attached to Reader in an unhealthy way.

It takes five days for the log pose to reset much to your dismay, it means more time trying to avoid Percy, you tried your best to be nice and find a way to cut any conversation with him short by saying you needed to do something or you had plans with Sanji and Zoro. When ever you went off the ship to explore more and find new things someone would come with you, mainly Sanji since you didn't want Zoro to get lost but you tried to bring Usopp along at least once. What was supposed to be an hour's trip turned into three due to the sniper getting scared and climbing a tree for safety, he refused to come down until you checked it was safe and after all that he struggled to climb down and almost landed face first onto the floor if it wasn't for you. After that you two made an agreement that he would do some of your jobs so you could go out and do his along with your own, the agreement went well since the forest is calm and beautiful plus it gives you time away from Percy who's been creeping you out a little lately. The young man just seems to pop up out of no where when your alone bringing you some tea or something to eat, he's friendly and doesn't ask questions anymore but you still get this uneasy feeling when around him, it also doesn't help that he keeps apologizing because he thinks your still mad about what he said. Because of this you've taken to being around Zoro and Sanji as much as possible, the two don't mind in fact they actively seek you out if they find out your alone just to make sure your ok. Percy stays well away when it comes to Sanji and Zoro, he doesn't talk to them and leaves the room if their in there unless its meal time.

Robin and Nami have also been helping keep you way from him after telling them everything, it turns out you are the only girl he's doing all this too which has made you all on edge. You simply told them to wait it out since he'll be gone when at the next island, as much as he makes you uncomfortable you don't want to leave him stranded on an island. With two days left until the ship sets sail you manage to drag Usopp into the library to help you identify some plants and seeds you've been struggling with, The sniper has been swamped with his own work plus half of yours on top so hasn't had to time to help you. Normally this wouldn't be a problem and you would wait but as of late you've become snappy, impatient and always on edge, some of the crew have no problem answering back which makes you rethink how your acting while others cower away. Sitting at the desk you look through the book while Usopp examines the strange seeds trying to find identifying features, heavy footsteps suddenly get your attention making you jump and turn towards the ladder where Franky suddenly appears. The poor cyborg looks tired and is covered in coal "Hay Usopp, i need your help one of the barrels is busted" Franky sighs before climbing back down the ladder, Usopp looks from the ladder to you slightly scared that you'll tell him off if he goes, with a sigh you wave your hand letting him know it's ok to go. Backing away from you slowly the sniper gets far enough away to feel safe enough to turn his back and head out following Franky, you hate how scared some of the crew are of you now, Usopp, Brook, Chopper, Franky and even Nami have looked at you with fear. Rubbing your face you lean back in your chair groaning to yourself, why can't you relax? Always on edge as if at any moment something bad is going to happen, it doesn't matter where you go on the ship you always feel this way.

You can't get a shower or a bath without making sure over and over again that the door is locked, when you wake up in the middle of the night your eyes stay fix on the door as if waiting for it to open and you've refused to drink any alcohol even when Luffy threw a party, you need to keep a clear and sober head, but for what? "Long day?" Gasping you almost fall out of your chair at how fast you try and move away from the voice next to you "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you" Percy smiles placing a tray down on the desk containing a pot of tea, two cups, sugar cubes and cut up fruit in a bowl. "I was hoping to join you, i wanted to talk about something Luffy told me" The young man smiles pulling over a chair to sit next to you, taking in a breath you sit up straight while biting your inner cheek, you have to make up an excuse to get away and yet you feel bad for treating him like this. He's been nice and apologized over and over again but Zoro did say he's manipulating you, although your still not sure if its intentional or not. "Oh I've seen these before" Percy laughs picking up one of the seeds your struggling to identify, snapping out of your thoughts you look over at the young man watching as he lifts up the seed above his head getting the light to shine down on it "Its out of its shell though which means it's not going to grow anything" Raising an eyebrow you lean against the desk wondering how he knows all this, your brain debated weather to ask about it or not since you don't really want to start a conversation with him if possible.

Sighing you rub your head curiosity and frustration getting the better of you "I can't seem to identify it, could you tell me about it?" You ask pulling your notepad and pen over ready to right down what he tells you, Percy's smile widens as he turns to look at you with joy "Of course" Overjoyed he starts explaining the plant and how it works and what its used for, apparently they used in the prison as lantern fuel which is how he knows about it. You write as he talks not noticing the young man sneaking closer and closer while pouring tea and adding things in just the way you like it before placing it in front of you, giving a hum of thanks you keep writing focused on what your doing until something lands on your shoulder. Jolting you look to your side seeing Percy's chair right up against your and his head on your shoulder, he doesn't move away when you notice instead he shifts his head to look at you "Can you move away, please" You try to stay polite even though your hand is gripping your pen in a death grip, Percy slowly moves his head off your shoulder with a sad look his arms wrapping around himself. Sighing at his actions you stand up grabbing the book on the table and going over to the book case to put it away deciding your done for the day, the room falls into a uncomfortable silence as you go around putting stuff away and collecting the seeds on the desk. "Why don't you like me?" Percy whispers still sitting in the same position as before while you put the seed into a small cloth bag, you go to answer when Zoro's words run though your head, don't answer any emotional questions. Percy looks up at you his eyes welling up with tears when you don't answer or even look at him.

As much as it pains you to do this you know you have to, he's always crossing the line and if you give in he'll keep doing it "I said i was sorry, i really am" Percy lean forward sniffling a little, your heart breaks at the sound of it, you want to hold him and tell him it's ok but you managed to hold yourself back while tying the bag up. Going for your notepad its suddenly pulled away from you by Percy who stands up and backs away holding it tightly to his chest "Percy, hand it over" You stay calm while holding out your hand hoping he will think smart and give it to you but he shakes his head taking another step back "Not until you tell me why your acting like this. I said i was sorry, i even bring you tea and stuff to make up for what i said... i just want you to talk to me" He yells tears running down his face while gripping your notepad tight, keeping your hand out you debate what to do next, you could just walk away but you have no idea what he'll do with your notepad which has a few months worth of work in it. "Please, just tell me what i can do to make things better... When i first met you i was scared but you treated me so kindly, you saved my life, listened to me, gave me comfort. I can see your still a caring person and i can see it hurts you to hold that back. So why are you doing this?" Percy sniffles again as you lower your hand letting it relax at your side, you hate yourself for hurting him like this, it seems rare for him to trust someone and the one person he finally trusts treats him like shit.

Taking mercy on him you sit back down and pat the chair in front of you gesturing for him to sit "I'm sorry for the way I've acted, I'll explain but first we both need to calm down, so we can talk without anger and hurt. I'll let you hold onto my notepad until i'm done ok?" You ask placing your hands on your lap hoping to show him your not a threat, Percy hesitates but soon takes a shaky step closer making his way to the chair and sitting down. Keeping your hands where he can see them you start to explain everything to him and how its making you, Sanji and Zoro feel, you honestly think that what he's done isn't intentional so maybe telling him about it will make him realize his actions and make a change. Percy takes a minute to think it all over while you wait for him to clear his head and get his thoughts together, the tears in his eyes have dried up but their still sad, releasing your notepad from his tight hold Percy holds it out to you letting you take it back and place it on your lap. "I-i didn't think what i was doing was wrong but… i see now it was, i am wrong, I'll try my best not to do anything like that again, just… If i do, please tell me, i don't want you to hate me" The young man gulp while fiddling with his hands, nodding you lean back in your chair glad to get this all out of the way "I still feel like there needs to be space between us and i still think it's a good idea that you stay away from Zoro and Sanji, mainly for your safety" You smile happy that he understands his actions but to be on the safe side you still need to keep that distance, Percy nods wiping his cheeks while giving you a smile "You really are kind, after everything I've done you still care about my safety. Thank you"

Nodding you stand up putting your notebook in your bag along with the bag of seeds before picking it up ready to leave "Wait, you didn't drink your tea" Percy frowns pushing the cup of tea across the desk towards you, turning you look him over then at the tea, you've never eaten or drank anything he's brought for you and thats not about to change "I'll ask Sanji for some, its cold now anyway" You state pulling your bag over your shoulder and walking away, the young man quickly stands putting all the stuff back onto the try and following you "Sanji's not in the kitchen, i can make you one, plus i need to clean all this up" Percy smiles following you out into the garden and then down the ladder into the kitchen "Thanks for the offer but I can do it myself and thanks for cleaning" You give him a smile glad that he's kind enough to clean up what ever mess he makes, some of the crew just leave it for someone else to deal with. Putting your bag down on the stool you look around seeing that the cook really isn't in the kitchen, usually he is at this time of day in order to prep for lunch so something urgent must have come up. "Oh! Of course, if i use something then i should put it away or clean it, thats what i was taught" Percy walks past you placing the tray down next to the sink and starts filling it up, walking around you turn on the kettle, grab a mug and then add your sugar but when you open the jar of tea bags there's nothing in there. Letting out a frustrated sigh you look through the cupboards nearby trying to find more but turn up empty-handed "Miss Y/n, the tea bags are in the pantry in that big wooden box" The young man points out seeing you looking around getting frustrated.

Pinching the bridge of your nose you sigh wondering why of all placed is the tea in the pantry, it's always kept in the cupboard close to the kettle so no one has to enter the pantry. Luckily your one of the few who Sanji trusts enough to give the code too so you easily unlock the pantry and head in, it doesn't take you long to grab what you needed and come back out to finally make yourself some tea while Percy drys his hands and leans against the counter. Sipping on your tea you let out a relaxed sigh finally able to clam your mind, talking to the young man was nerve wracking but at least now you've both come to an understanding so this trip will be a lot less stressful. After taking a few more sips you notice Percy still in the kitchen staring at you with a concerned look, it makes your body tense up again wondering what he's worried about but when you go to ask nothing comes out, you try to speak again only this time something sparkles in front of your eyes like little firefly's flying around "I'm sorry Miss Y/n" Percy sighs stepping closer to you grabbing your tea cup out of your hands and placing it on the counter, stepping away you stumble your legs unable to hold your own weight but the young man grabs you pulling your body into his "Don't worry, I've got you… I'm really sorry but i have to protect you" Percy whispers picking you up and throwing you over his shoulder, you want to stop him to fight back but your mind is fuzzy and your body feels weak, even though your legs are slightly kicking you can't feel your body doing so. As the young man turns ready to leave the kitchen you vision is overcome by floating lights all merging together until there's only white, the light dims over time soon sending you into nothing but black.

Brook makes his way out of the sleeping quarters after trying to work on a new song for a few hours, the sound of yelling from different members of the crew gets his attention, so he makes his way across the deck and up into the kitchen where the sound is coming from. Opening the door he's met with a strange sight, first the kitchen area is a mess, the pantry door is wide open, there's a few broken plate's and cups on the floor, a bitter smell in the air and one of the bar stools has been tipped over. The second thing is the whole crew yelling at each other, Chopper is sitting on the sofa with a towel over his head looking quite upset while Nami and Robin are sitting next to him yelling at Usopp and Luffy who are sitting at the table yelling back. Sanji stands at the head of the table pointing his finger at the captain seeming to be mad at him about something other than what the girls are yelling about while Zoro sits at the table with his arms crossed over his chest clearly tense and ready to blow up at any minute. Franky groans leaning against the wall chugging a coal clearly tired and looking a little depressed, tilting his head Brook noticing your not here and yet your bag is, either you didn't want to argue and walked out or your not apart of this. "Urm… what's wrong?" Hesitating the skeleton speaks up, the room suddenly goes quiet as the crew turn to him with a mixture of anger and annoyance. "Where the hell have you been?" Nami yells standing from her seat making Brook jump in fear of her hitting him.

Robin places her hand on Nami's arm getting the navigator to sit back down "Take a seat and I'll explain" she gestures to one of the chairs but Sanji steps in the way glaring at the skeleton "First i want to know if you've been in the kitchen in the last two hours" The cook pulls out a cigarette placing it between his lips and lighting it all while glaring at Brook who shakes his head "Oh no, I've been writing music for almost… four hours now" He state making everyone sigh in frustration, stepping side Sanji lets Brook pass and take a seat as he puffs on his cigarette trying to calm down "Wow, you really missed everything" Luffy laughs only to get hit in the head by the cook "What are you laughing about? Your still number one on my lift for who did this" Sanji yells pointing at the messy kitchen making the captain pout while looking away. "We'll as you can see the kitchen is a mess, but we don't know who did it. There's been more going on in the past two hours" Robin state calmly trying to stop the room from going back to how it was, Brook nods staying quiet and letting the black haired woman continue. "First the temperature in the aquarium bar went up quite high causing the bottle of wine on the shelves to explode and the fish tank to heat up killing off some of the fish. Sanji cleaned up the mess while Nami and Zoro where supposed to gather all the dead fish when Chopper came running over covered in syrup, someone put a bucket of syrup over the door in his office so Nami asked for my help to cleaning him"

Chopper sighs pulling the towel off his head, its clear now the two girls had to help bath and dry the poor reindeer "Thinking it was Luffy who did the prank-" Luffy suddenly stands shaking his head furiously while looking over at Chopper "I wasn't me i swear, i love pranking you but not like that" The captain tries to defend himself as Usopp pats him on the shoulder trying to calm his friend down. "We'll it's between you and Usopp" Nami growls shaking her head still trying to figure out who did it but Robin places her hand on the girls knee trying to calm her down "Nami told Luffy to help Zoro out with the fish tank since he was on deck. As for Franky and Usopp, as far as i understand one of the barrels that powers the engine burst" the black haired woman looks over at Franky with a sympathetic look, the cyborg sighs and nods before pushing off the wall "Yea, i don't know how it happened still but i'm looking into it, i needed Usopp's help since everyone was busy with other things". Brook nods understanding, but he then hums putting some pieces together that the others missed, Zoro opens his eye looking the skeleton up and down before nodding "i was thinking the same" the swordsman states sitting up straight and unfolding his arms "Everything that happened was too close together making me think its intentional and most likely by the same person, they wanted us all busy-" Zoro stands out of his chair quickly the pieces coming together perfectly but it makes his heart beat faster "When did you last see Y/N?" Sanji yells realizing what's going on, you and Percy are not here, the kitchen's a mess and everyone was distracted. "She was in the library" Usopp gulps concerned by the sudden shift in their aura, Nami stands panicking a little "She was there when we went up to bath chopper but you two were too distracted to notice but when we came down both of you were gone"

Usopp gulps becoming worried by their reactions "I left her up there to help Franky" The sniper points out making Nami's heart sink "Do you think Percy did something?" Nami asks her panicked eyes looking over to Sanji and Zoro who both have a mixture of anger and worry on their faces. The others look at each other in confusion until Luffy stands up glaring at his three friends "What's going on?" The captain asks getting annoyed that he doesn't understand what their talking about. Robin stands up with a way to clam the situation and a plan to help "We thought the situation was fixed but it seems that isn't the case, I'll happily explain but i think its best of Sanji, Zoro and Nami start looking, i doubt their still on the ship" The black haired woman turns to the three who look at their captain in slight panic hoping he will let them go, Luffy nods giving them the go ahead to leave before looking at Robin wanting to know what's going on. The three quickly run out of the kitchen and onto the deck but before the two can leave Nami stops them handing Sanji a transponder snail "I'll look over the map and guide you through, their no point in running in blind, there's area's around here that are good for hiding so i'll tell you how to get there… Stay close to Sanji" The navigator states while pointing a finger at the swordsman not wanting him to get lost, Zoro growls wanting to fight back but his attention turns to the forest feeling its more important to go after you than fight. "Thank you Nami-swan" Sanji smiles with slight tears in his eyes, he's worried about you but the navigator's kindness and eagerness to help really pulls at his heart. Zoro groans grabbing the cooks belt and pulling him off the ship while Nami waists no time heading to the library and going over her map trying to find the best places to search for you.

(Mis)adventures of Law with the Strawhats [fanfiction snippet, part 1]

"Torao!!" he cries out way too loudly. "Let's play that game again!!"

Law turns towards him, but doesn't answer immediately and it's not even because his mouth is full at the moment, he doesn't care about that.

"Again…?" he finally voices out, looking at no one in particular.

"What game?" asks Chopper. Usopp also curiously looks between Law and Luffy.

"We played that funny thing yesterday when you zoom up and down and throw a stone with dots on it!" Luffy exclaims.

"Is that why you missed breakfast today?" Usopp asks and Luffy nods fervently.

"I wish I didn't. Sanji, can you make me a breakfast now??"

"Breakfast after lunch, huh?" Sanji muses from behind the counter. "Sure"

"Thanks, you're the best!!"

Law frowns. "Just play it by yourself this time" he grumbles between bites.

"No way! You said it can't be played alone! Also I already forgot the rules…"

"There's no way you already forgot them!" Law protests, takes a look at Luffy, then his eyes dart to completely opposite direction. "Fine, but gather more people. It's boring with just two. Get four more"

"I didn't think it was boring with just the two of us" Luffy beams at him, takes bigger bite and shouts "So who wants to play with us??"

"You didn't exactly tell us what type of game it is" Usopp frowns, while Chopper is already shouting back "Me, I want!!"

"It's just a regular snake and ladders board game" Law answers despite the question not being directed at him.

"It's yours?" Robin asks. "Didn't take you for the type to keep board games around"

"My crew often dragged me to play with them"

"But isn't Snake and Ladders a game for kids?" Franky butts in. "It takes me back… Tom bought it for us once, but Iceburg was a party pooper and said he's not a kid anymore and in the end I had to teach Yokozuna to play with me instead"

Law has no idea who all those people he mentioned were, so he just ignores that part.

"It is. It's not like he would be able to understand any more complicated game" he says while gesturing towards Luffy, who just laughs in answer and says with his mouth still full: "That's right. Can't wait to play!"

"You still miss three more people" Law reminds him.

"Oh, right. Guys, who wants to play? It's gonna be fun!!"

"I guess I could make you the honour of God Usopp joining in, just so you have enough people. Know my mercy!" says Usopp while his nose extends all the way up to the ceilling.

"ME!" repeated Chopper.

"I already counted you in" says Law which made Chopper exclaim some loud, possibly not malignant noises.

"I would love to try!" Yamato exclaimes after swallowing a whole plate of food at once.

"Great! Then we have everyone!"

"You're one person short" points out Law and smirks when Luffy grumbles at that.

"Come on guys, Robin, join us! Nami? Zoro??"

"I want to relax reading a book" Robin replies, smiling.

"I have plans already. I need to catch up on my map drawing" Nami exclaims as she gets up from the table, already having finished her meal.

"I'm gonna train" answers Zoro shortly.

Luffy frowns, looking around the table again. "Franky? Brook? Sanji? Jimbei?"

"I'm too old for that" Jimbei answers. "I will leave you youngsters to that"

"Same here" Franky adds.

"I will be busy making desserts for the ladies" Sanji chimes in.

Brook looks around the Sunny's kitchen back and forth, till finally answering as well. "I will gladly join"

"GREAT! Now we have everyone, you can't say no anymore!!" Luffy turns to Law and extends his hands high up, like in a victory pose. Law eyes dart to him for a second, but he doesn't say anything, just gets up and walks towards the door.

"Torao?" Luffy asks after him.

"Gonna go fetch the game"

"So, how do we play it exactly?" Usopp asks. "Not that I don't know already, mind you, I'm just asking because there's no way Luffy remembers the rules!"

"It's true, I don't" Luffy says.

"We all start from this place" says Law, pointing his finger to the starting position on the board. "We take turns rolling the die till we reach the goal, which is here" his finger moves all the way up on the board. "Whenever you land on a field with a ladder, you go up, till you reach the top of it. When you land on snake, you slide down instead. That's all there is to it"

"What's a die?" asked Chopper. Law looks at him, then looks at all of them looking back at him, he pauses and closes his eyes for a moment, and then takes a square-like object in his fingers.

"This is a die. You roll it like that" he says and flips it in his fingers and lets it fall to the board, the die making a short wooden noise when it meets the surface. Everyone stares at it before the object finally stops, showing five dots on top.

"So that's the legendary die… Of course I already knew that. I had a dozen, no, two dozens of them back in the village. It's the first time I see one made out of wood" Usopp blabbles.

"So what do we do? Do we just add all the dots on each side of it?" asks Chopper, inspecting the square and poking it with his hoof. "It's kinda hard to see all the sides though"

"No, wait, Chopper, that wouldn't make any sense" said Usopp, putting on his serious face and poking his own nose. "It wouldn't matter then to roll the die, because the sides never change, so the result would be always the same"

"Oh" Chopper comments.

"I think I get it. It must be the result on the top that counts. So, five dots!" Usopp concludes his deduction.

"Ooooh, you're so smart, Usopp!!" Chopper cries out.

"Of course" Usopp exclaims, smashing his hand to his chest. "After all I played many games before and flipped dozen of dies"

"Dice" Law corrects him.

"Right, this one is actually special, because it's wooden and called a dice. I knew that" Usopp says, raising his voice just a bit. He looks at Law, moves his eyes from left to right, and finally makes some random gesture of flipping his fingers. Law turns to Luffy instead. "Choose the order"

"Order?"

"Of who goes first, second, and so on, all the way to the last person for the round"

"OH. Easy, I'm going first, because I'm gonna be the King of the Pirates and I'm the captain!"

"Unfair!" Usopp protests immediately. "Let's decide by luck, we can draw lots"

Luffy makes a face, but before he can say anything, Yamato already extends scraps of paper in their direction. "Let's do it! That's how you do it, right??" he asks.

"When did you manage to get that?" Luffy exclaims. "You're so fast!"

Yamato snickers at him, quickly scribbles something on the papers, and holds the pieces in her fist, so that whatever is written can't be seen, only the tops of paper. "Choose one!"

Everyone but Law extends their hands to draw one. Yamato looks at him expectantly.

"You draw first. Whatever will be left is mine" he explains.

"I can?? Really??" Yamato chirps, eyes sparkling. "Thanks!!" pulls one lot out. "Oh, I have number 2" and looks apologetically at Law. "Yours is six" and shows him his number. "I can trade with you if you want!"

"I can trade with you too, Torao!! Though I think I got the worst number…"

"It's fine, I don't really care"

"You're so kind!" Yamato cries out over everyone shouting their own numbers over each other.

Law just quickly proceeds to put down pawns on the starting point.

"So, who is the first?" he asks no one in particular.

"God Usopp!" says the man, flashing his teeth and showing off his scrap of paper with number 1 on it.

"Good. You will be yellow then"

"Wait, I don't get to decide?!"

"Nope"

"Why?! Who gave you the right?! This is important, the most important decision to make, the colors will change everything about the gameplay!"

"I'm the last one to go, the rules say I get to decide the pawns for everyone"

Usopp looks at him and narrows his eyes. Finally he says, while pointing his finger at him. "I will still sue you if I lose because of that"

"I will sue you too!!" Luffy exclaims, pointing his finger at Law as well.

"You? What for?"

"I don't know!" Luffy frowns. "Why should I sue Torao?"

"I dunno-" starts Usopp.

"For not trading with you" Brook says instead, trying to be helpful.

"Thanks Brook! I will sue Torao for not trading lots with me!"

"Do you even know what that word means?" Usopp asks, just in case.

"Nope! Shishishi!"

"I also don't know!" Chopper says, raising his hoof high in the air.

"Then you won't know" Law butts in which earns him another loud cry from Chopper.

"It means to force a person that has treated you unfairly or hurt you in some way to give you something or to do something for you to make up for it" Brook explains, which earns him a sideway look from Law.

"Eh, then I don't want to sue Torao" Luffy says. "It doesn't sound fun. Forcing people isn't fun" and Chopper shouts "I also don't want to!", just a heartbeat too late to be in unison with Luffy.

"Said someone who forced me to play" Law counters, leaving Luffy speechless for once and immediately looking away.

"It's all Usopp's fault anyway!" the captain finally says, showing a tongue in sniper's direction.

"How is it my fault?! Keep me out of it! I know nothing of it!!"

"Are we playing guys??" Yamato butts in, quickly moving his arms up and down and looking from the board to everyone.

"YES" Luffy, Usopp and Law answer a bit too loudly in unison, and Chopper just a moment too late, while Brook just laughs.

Minnie series, witch straw hat, we can spend the night in my dealers house.

Ahh yes, Alabasta the land of sand, belly dancers clothes given to me by sanji and Vivi's country!, but most importantly lizards! tail's for distracting potions maybe a smokey corpse smell, it's eyes for and limbs for stealth ohhh~what I will do~

Ace was looking at her creeped out, she had a creepy aura around her as she looked around the ground,

"Don't mind her she get's like this sometimes" said nami patting his shoulder before continuing walking.

"she won't boil us alive, right?" he asked to conform his suspicions.

"don't worry ace, Y/N is my friend!" comforted him luffy, before they continued there march.

Y/N ignored them but focused on her hunt as chopper stayed by zoro, but vivi got dragged into helping her.

and though vivi was creeped out by decapitating lizard she couldn't bring her self to refuse helping her.

As the sun sat down and the wind's slowed down the night sky came with the light of the moon and a bit of cold, they found a spot to camp, sanji was cooking a warm meal, zoro was napping by the rocks, nami was comforting a crying vivi from cutting lizards tails and limbs all day, while ussop helped sanji out, Ace and chopper on the other hand were curious about Y/N need for the creature.

"What do you plan on doing with this?" asked Ace looking at her storing them in jars.

"Lot's of things! smoke screens with a heavy smell, it's limbs for a scripture to walk on walls" she explained holding different jars for each purpose chopper seemed more curios about magic looking at her jars before pointing at something

"what's that?"

"dried bat brains" she answered with a huge grin as everyone twitched a bit, except Ussop who looked scared as hell

"WHY DO YOU NEED THAT!"

"greater hearing and night vision"

silent fell before luffy broke it "can I eat it?"

"why would you want to eat it!" scolded both nami and ussop

Y/N was having a good laugh while the rest continued on their work, with vivi trying to calm down nami and chopper helping in storing everything.

As dinner was eaten and everyone was ready to sleep under the star light having a moment of tranquility cut short by Ussop, "DAMN COLD!" he stood up shouting gerly being fed up with the cold, vivi tried to re-explain "the desert is Hot as fire in the morning and cold as Ice in night"

"that doesn't make any sense!" he protested, while nami and sanji tried to deescalate the situation

"well what other choice do we have? suck it up" nami said tierdly

"we can sleep in a whale" Y/N said standing up while opening her bag, her words struck the crew as a joke but her seriousness was evident

"you do realize were like, far away from the ocean?"said Nami as the rest agreed but luffy and chopper got exited,

"YOU CAN SUMMON WHALES!"

"that's so cool!"

as she looked at them she got out a crystal ball blue in color and smooth in texture, "it's my dealer, I buy stuff I can't gather there" this seemed to gather the two interest even more, while the rest had one common thought 'what are those ingredient's?'

"Yeah I can you come here? I need a favor to ask" she spoke to the crystal as it glowed a soft light, "here we go"

a few moment's later a sudden ripple split the air, and with a thunderous splash, a starry-blue whale materialized out of thin air, casting shimmering reflections from its body.

While nami and Ussop were panicking, zoro,sanji and Ace being on guard, the rest were curious

"WHAT THE FUCK!"

"Gernario mardo evou" she yelled and the while opened it's mouth the woman simply walked in, "WOAH! Y/N why didn't you show us this before!" yelled luffy following in, and though the rest felt reluctant Ace zoro and chopper followed closely.

The inside of the whale was like stepping into a dream; a flat surface of shimmering water stretched beneath their feet, while tiny fireflies flitted around, casting gentle reflections on the liquid ceiling, this seemed to put everyone in awe.

"WELCOME travelers" said a man's voice from deep inside, "what might you need" he asked

"yeah, uncle goerg can me and my friends spend the night here? it's cold outside" using her best puppy dog eyes the man appeared in front of her, with a bold head and a long beard with bare feet he looked at her un-amused

this 'uncle george' was walking and smelling everyone, some pushed him away while some hid behind the other, "those are....Human's" he said the word human with disgust before going back to his customer

"how dare you bring strangers into my domain here, this ain't a hotel, shoo"

as he started to push her and the crew out with strong winds coming from inside the whale with a snap of his finger looking at the witch in displeasure, she pulled out her final card, "I'll pay!"

"no we won't!" protested nami

"I don't need your worthless berries humans"

"no! it's two jars of high quality lizard limbs collected by the princess her self!"

he raised an eyebrow, before she looked at her semi flying before giving up, "and my prized bat's brains!"

taking a moment to think, he looked at vivi and nami then at luffy before agreeing, with a snap of his fingers the wind stopped letting everyone fall to their face as a bedroom was dragged in with a hand sticking out

"You and your lizard limbs, kid. Fine. But keep your humans away from my stash, now give me the jars"

"here" she gave in reluctantly, satisfied with his prize he left them alone, "Y/N-Chwaaannnn~you got us a room for free~" said sanji swooning over the depressed girl

"tell me if you want anything Y/N-chan" even nami was swooning a bit for the 'free' room

soon everyone looked around in peace with the disappearance of the old men with the jar, there were enough bed's for everyone a table of fruit's and a bathroom.

"wait you could've done this before?" asked nami

"yeah, I knew him since I was 7"

"why didn't you do this before!" nami, ussop beat her up in anger "I could've died of the cold!" adde'd ussop

"hey! I lost two of my prized stuff! have some decency!"

"shut up!!"

it was rowdy and chaotic but soon everyone found some comfort to fall asleep.

Zoro "I don't know what bullshit you got on your mind but I guess I'll have to do the most dramatic shit ever to knock it out before it starts festering inside your chest" Roronoa.

"Hm, Luffy shouldn't be worried like that over me so what if I swear to never lose a fight again so he doesn't have to worry about me and I don't have to see him like that".

"These bitches keep insisting Nami is a traitor and she looks like she's way deep in playing her role so I'll throw myself to the ocean to prove to her she's such a good person she is incapable to let me die she belongs with us I know that she knows it".

"Ussop sounds like he's not taking the crew and the pirate dream seriously so either he gets his shit together or I'm stopping this shipwreck right now this is not how he'll reach his goal he needs to put himself together now."

"Who the fuck knows why Sanji sounds like he's drowning in his own head asking me to fucking kill him but there's no way I'm letting whatever he is thinking happen so I'll make him promise he'll wait for me to arrive there and then I can deal with it".

It's like that with every member of the crew. Zoro believes in them so blindly that it makes him get strict as their first mate. He won't let their dreams die, he won't let them die, he won't let them live in a lie either.

And the best part?

Zoro is constantly implying that he's gonna live for them.

Luffy don't worry, I won't lose again. I won't die. You're the Pirate King and I'm your first mate, the best swordman in the world. There's no doubt.

Whatever Nami is doing I'll figure it out with my crew and we're pulling her out of here or fixing it, so we can get to sail again. She's our navigator.

If Ussop keeps this going I'll fight him myself. I do not plan to be a pirate only in appearance. That is not our future, not our identity.

Sanji, I'm getting out of this fight alive even if I have to go to hell and come back and so are you, so you better not die before I reach you.

There is a tweet on Twitter asking what would Luffy has done about Sasuke if he were in Naruto's shoes. What are your thoughts?

hard to say. i think at first luffy would honour the fact that sasuke has a goal he has to complete no matter what, a match only sasuke can do, one he wants to do by himself. the same way luffy honoured zoro's wish of fighting mihawk at baratie even though he was obviously outclassed. luffy wanted to join but desperately restrained himself back because it was zoro's duel. it's only after it looked like zoro 'died', after the duel finished, that luffy went to attack mihawk. if sasuke eventually wanted to leave the village in order to fulfil his ambition then I also think luffy would honour that, like when usopp left the crew, even though luffy didn't want him to leave it was still usopp's decision, he wanted to leave. this differs to when sanji or robin left the crew and luffy steadfastly chased after them to save them and bring them back, because sanji and robin didn't leave the crew because they actually wanted to, but because they felt they had to in order to protect everyone. obviously it's a bit muddled since the curse mark also had some influence, but ultimately it was sasuke's decision to leave after listening to different people and thinking through everything. so again, I think luffy would honour sasuke's personal wishes in that regard. but another layer of complexity is then added because sasuke's safety at the hands of orochimaru comes into play here, and that's where I think luffy would step in. I think the situation with ace is an apt comparison here because while luffy recognised ace had his own adventures, and didn't meddle when he heard ace was in dangerous situations, when it come to a matter of ace dying that's when luffy went above and beyond to save him at marineford, even when ace protested about not wanting him there and telling him that he should leave. so while luffy would accept sasuke has his own goal and path separate from luffy, I think that due to sasuke being in imminent danger of dying by the hands of orochimaru, that would spur luffy to go and save him too even though sasuke wouldn't want that. but once luffy hears that sasuke killed orochimaru I think he'd take a step back and leave sasuke alone to complete his goal by himself. I don't think luffy would butt in just like he didn't butt in with zoro's duel, he also only really helped if people asked him for help, like nami for example at arlong park, but sasuke wouldn't ask for help against itachi at all.

after finding out the truth about konoha though... we all know luffy doesn't care about authority at all and is more than willing to punch royalty and dismantle governments and leave the fall out and mess of that to someone else. he doesn't mind fighting marines and other pirates, but completely destroying konoha (and civilians within) I don't know if luffy would actually agree to that. in his view if someone puts their life on the line they have to face the consequences of that, but civilians are not people that do that. he most probably would agree with sasuke's plan of taking out the kage at least, but sasuke's idea of becoming a new 'hokage' that oversees everything and dispenses judgement wouldn't go down well with luffy I think, since above all luffy wants to be 'free'. luffy would also not let sasuke kill him to be alone and in pain for all eternity as the one person who dispenses judgement either since emotionally luffy wouldn't want that for sasuke either.

idk I can make comparisons about situations luffy's been in before and apply it to sasuke but the way luffy views those close around him and what he would do for them is pretty much the same, he calls them the same too (like nakama/kyoudai), he doesn't single anyone out or treat anyone differently, luffy just wants to be free and lives that way, whereas with naruto it's different, sasuke is his 'one and only', it's sasuke > everyone and everything else even his own dream and responsibilities, so if luffy had a 'one and only' how would he really act? the same as he does for others or would sasuke become the exception to his rule too?

Portgas D Ace x fem reader

Chapter 3

The rest of the day goes by without much drama. I mean, looks and whispers follow me, but other than that I haven't had too much trouble. Nami introduced me to her friends, so I have people to hang out with, I guess. They weren't bad. Aside from Ace, Robin, and Vivi, who I met this morning, I met some guys named Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, Frankie - who's Robin's boyfriend, and Ace's two brothers, Luffy and Sabo. I also met Sabo's girlfriend, Koala, and Usopp's girlfriend, Kaya, both of whom I instantly took a liking to. 

They are considered the "popular crowd", and I am now one of them by association. It's cool, I guess, but I wish the eyes following me through the hallways would disappear. Luffy is the youngest and the only sophomore in the group. Sabo, Robin, Frankie, and Koala are seniors, and the rest of them are in my grade. Juniors. 

They were all nice, and all of them pretty much stole my phone to put their numbers in it, so I guess this means I've been claimed. Well, having lunch with friends is a lot better than my original plan of eating with Law in the nurse's office. 

I exit the building, looking for Killer. I instantly spotted his tow truck in the pick up line for students. He must have come straight from dropping a car off at the shop. I hop in the passenger seat and buckle my seatbelt. "Hey, kid sister," he greets, using my nickname he gave me all those years ago. I smile at him. "Hey, Mom." He starts the car and away we go.

As we drive we talk about whatever comes into our minds and I scream along to the music on the radio. Killer hates this little habit of mine and Kid's, but we can't help it. Metal music is the best, no questions asked. 

We pull into the garage and I hear Kid's playlist blaring through the air. I jump out of the truck and run straight for my brother. "KID!" I shout, before jumping on him. He has just enough time to put down the stuff he was carrying before I barrel into him. He chuckles as he picks me up like I'm no bigger than a child. Which, compared to him, I guess is true.

When he puts me down, he grins at me. "Guess what, [Name]? I was lookin' around the car yard and I found a Boss Mustang in there. I took a look, and I think we could restore it. It'll take a while but..." he trails off, thinking, while I secretly celebrate. I've been wanting to restore a car for a while, ever since we moved into the place. I did some exploring when I first got here and found a few classic I wouldn't mind fixing. 

I drop my bag and hug him again. "Let me get changed and we can get started!" I squeal. Kid chuckles as I run upstairs to my room.

I quickly strip out of my uniform and change into a somewhat cute yet extremely practical look. Red t-shirt, black overalls, and a red bandanna. I put on my work boots and head back downstairs.

My earliest memory is one of the few good ones I have of my father. He was a mechanic, like Kid, and my memory is of him holding me while teaching Kid how to fix up his 1977 Firebird. When he died, it was supposed to go to Kid, but when our mother left us, she sold it. Kid has been keeping tabs on it, somehow, and now that he actually has money put away, he's planning to buy it back the first chance he gets.

As I head into the garage, I see Killer and Heat bringing the mustang in. I walk over and join my brother in observing the body. It's definitely been sitting outside for a while, and could really use a nice wash and fresh coat of paint, but aside from replacing a headlight, there doesn't appear to be anything outwardly wrong with the body of it. 

Once the car is ready, I examine the interior of the car while Kid gets to work looking at the engine. The seats definitely need to be replaced, as well as the dashboard. I note a few other minor repairs that need to be made before the bell above the customer area of the shop rings.

The others are busy with other things, so I head to the office. I walk in, wiping grease off my hands with a spare rag. I notice a figure standing by the counter and I make my way over. "Hi! Welcome to Hot Rod Revolt, how can I help you?" "HEY! ITS [NAME]!" I hear a somewhat familiar voice yell.

I notice that the figure is Luffy, and just after he says that Ace walks through the door. "Oh, hey [Name]!" Ace says, cheerfully. I smile politely at him. "Hey, guys. What brings you here, today?" I ask. Ace rubs the back of his head. "Well... you see... I may have been driving and I may have crashed my car a little and I may need it fixed really fast before my father finds out and both takes my car away and kills me?"

I giggle a little and nod. "Sure, let me take a look at the damages?" Ace sighs in relief. "Thanks [Name]. You're a lifesaver," he says as he leads me to his car. It's a red Jeep Wrangler, which makes me laugh, because of course he has a Jeep. I inspect the outer damages. The hood is popped up and dented, as well as the front bumper. 

As I turn to grab one of the guys, Kid walks out of the garage, wiping grease off his hand. "Well, you certainly fucked that car up, didn't you?" He asks. He holds his hand out toward Ace. "I'm going to need the keys in order to fix it," He says, holding out his hand.

Ace places the keys in his hand and Kid gets in the Jeep. He starts it, backing it into the garage. Luffy gets distracted by something and wanders off, leaving Ace and I alone. "So..." I trail off, awkwardly trying to find something to say. "So?" Ace asks, amused. I blush, turning my head away, when I spot the car yard gate is open. "Hey, wanna see something cool?" I ask him. Ace nods. "Yeah, sure. I got time."

I grab his arm and pull him into the car yard. Dozens of dusty, rusty, and old cars and parts are scattered about the ground. The faded reds, blues, and other colors providing spots of color in the yard. I let go of Ace and let him look around, inspecting all of the cars. I sit on the hood of an old VW Bug, watching as Ace inspects all the cars.

"So why'd you bring me here?" He asks after a while. I shrug. "I couldn't think of anything to talk about, so rather than stand in awkward silence I decided to bring you back here so you can look at cars," I say with a grin. He chuckles and comes to sit next to me, so close that our shoulders are touching. 

The two of us chat about anything, just hanging out and talking. Luffy was in the garage, distracting everyone from working. That ended abruptly when Kid threw him out, yelling at him to "shut the fuck up and leave him alone". I giggle watching that happen, as Luffy spots us and jumps right up, running over and yelling about food. 

Kid comes out of the garage a few minutes later, walking over to the three of us. If he had eyebrows, he would have raised one at how close Ace and I were sitting. The look he gave me definitely says, "we're discussing this later". I roll my eyes. There's nothing to discuss. At least, I don't think there is. 

"All I really needed to do was straighten out the hood and bumper, get the dents out of it. Your car looks as good as new, and I even put a new inspection sticker on it. Bring it back here if there are any other problems, but I think I fixed it all." Ace nods along to what Kid is saying, smiling with every word. "Okay, thanks dude!" He says, grabbing Luffy. As the two get in the car to drive off, Ace pops back out. "[Name]! I owe ya one!" He says. He gives me a half hug and gets in his car. 

As he drives away, I can't help but let a small smile slip. He's cute. I'll give him that. He's also funny and sweet. I noticed that while we were talking, he talked a lot about his brothers, and from what I could tell, he cares about them very much. I found myself feeling something for the boy, something I haven't felt for anyone before. I know what it is, because I'm not stupid, but I just haven't ever met anyone that has made me feel this way before. 

It's different. In a nice way.

At first, they thought that you were really shy

When you told (wrote) them that it was because of your devil fruit/power it made a lot more sense to them

They started to be very curious to hear what your voice sounds like

To try and satiate this curiosity they would stay near you during fights to see if that could catch a glimpse of it at work

If they got caught indirectly from its fire you would feel so bad

The silence would be even more deafening

But after consoling you and telling you that it wasn't your fault, you would slowly open up again

I think Luffy would try to make you talk

And he would be annoying about it

It gets so bad, the rest of the crew has to bug him to stop

I think Zoro would like the quiet, it helps him take a nap

He might even ask you to tell him to sleep once just to see how it feels

Let’s just say, he doesn't like anything being in control of his body

Nami tried to make you feel as welcome as possible

She and Robin understand that it’s hard on you, and you feel like your missing out on a lot

So they like to entertain you (mostly drawing and writing)

They make sure you’re never alone— unless you want to be

Usopp, Chopper, and Luffy like to pull you into their shannangins

I can see a lot of laughing and getting in trouble

Brook would teach you how to express yourself through music rather than words

Franky would fiddle with his inventions in his underwear (sounds just like him), he might even employ you to help him

Once you’re settled into the crew, I feel like it’s easy to forget how powerful you are

So when out on the battlefield, people are always surprised at how well you do

Even some of the crew (since they were planning to protect you, not the other way around)

But I still love it and your headcannons about Strawhats are so accurate, I just- I literally don't have enough words to express how great your writings are!

Also...If it's okay, can I ask for Part 2 of angst about Luffy's child death?..

I mean, I just wonder how would react and treat child! reader if they find out that child is revived? One day , one pirate had a ability to bring back people from death and he accidentally revived reader.

I've always really liked Part One so I'm glad to continue the concept. This did get away from me a little bit.

CW: Child Death

-Let's start with Sanji.

-Above all else, Sanji is a fixer. He cares deeply for his loved ones and often expresses great concern for their well-being. So after the loss of his close friend's child, he struggles to help. Sure, Sanji makes all of Luffy's favorites, but the captain doesn't have much of an appetite. Thus when Luffy refuses food for the first time ever, Sanji is at a loss. He doesn't berate his captain for wasting the food because he's so unsettled by such a thing.

-Feeling a bit lost and out of his depth, Sanji spends an awful lot of time reading. Most of the crew has picked up on that during this time, actually. They can all sit together without having to talk; it makes the grief a little easier, and the more talkative Straw Hats can talk about whatever they've been reading instead of having to talk about... other things on their mind.

-Sanji picked up a book he donated to the Straw Hat's (Robin's) collection of books in one of these rather depressing book clubs. He's skimming the pages of the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia when comes across Brook's devil fruit. He nearly lets out a dry laugh as his thoughts wander to a darker place.

-Sanji can't help but wish they had given Brook's devil fruit to (Name). He wonders if Brook feels some level of guilt for having it now, but Sanji thinks it's better not to ask. Though in the next couple of pages, Sanji sees something that piques his interest. The user has the power to resurrect the deceased.

-When he abruptly flees the lounge, no one says anything. Sure they watch him with worried eyes, but one of them rushing out of the lounge, to presumably weep, is no longer new to the Straw Hats.

-Sanji doesn't want to get anyone's hopes up, so he doesn't mention the devil fruit, but he does reach out to Zeff for information. Sanji is anxious when Zeff says he had heard about an older woman performing miracles similar to what the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia had written about.

-Sanji carefully explains his grand plan to Nami, who is immediately skeptical. Nami tries to talk him out of it, thinking it's a hair-brained idea that will lead to so much heartbreak.

-Nami decides that she'll guide the crew to the island Sanji wants to go to, but if he can't ensure that this will help Luffy, she doesn't want to hear about it again. So the crew goes to this mysterious out-of-the-way island, and as soon as the dock, Sanji disappears.

-He's gone for ages and does eventually return with a woman in tow. Sanji can feel the coldest glare coming from Nami when he brings the woman on board. He tries to explain as delicately and clearly as possible what this woman can do for Luffy. The crew is quiet during his speech, but as soon as Sanji's done, Zoro explodes.

-"How dare you insult Luffy that way, how dare you insult (Name) 's memory by bringing a necromancer on board."

-Zoro is so hurt and angry. He largely blames himself for (Name) 's death and hears Luffy's wailing in the back of his mind during all of his waking hours. He remembers clearly (Name) crying out for their father.

-Zoro is shoving Sanji and barking insults in his face so loud that he doesn't even notice that he's crying.

-And for the first time, Sanji lets Zoro shout and yell. He doesn't back down, but he does let Zoro do and say whatever he has to. Sanji understands how deeply Zoro felt the loss of what Zoro considered his own child.

-Eventually, Zoro runs out of steam. He's red in the face and out of breath, and he's suddenly so tired.

-Luffy has been silent during Sanji's speech and Zoro's outburst, but his silence has been pretty common lately. He watches with bloodshot eyes and thoughts going a mile a minute. Luffy considers his options with deep, shaky breaths; he's comforted by Robin rubbing small circles on his back.

-After a few minutes of uneasy silence, Luffy agrees to try. He reasons that the best thing that could happen is that his baby comes back to him, and the worst case is that nothing in his life changes.

-What ensues after is nothing short of the Gods working miracles. The crew can't even confidently say what precisely they witness beyond a flash of light and intense fiery heat.

-One moment, Luffy is rubbing his eyes, and the next, he's seeing his kid looking somewhat bewildered. When (Name) looks up at him, and says "Dad?" Luffy burst into tears. He frantically scoops his kid up in his arms, holding them far tighter than he probably should've.

-Zoro is wide-eyed and out of breath. He looks at the older woman, who is sporting a kind smile. "What did you do? How did you do that?" he asks, approaching her, and she shakes her head while smiling even wider.

-Bewildered and teary-eyed, Nami gives the woman a good deal of money as if money had become no object to Nami. The woman takes it, bids them farewell, and practically vanishes.

-Luffy is overwhelmed with grief and joy, and the words are stuck in his throat. He doesn't know what to say or do all he knows is that he can't let (Name) go. He'll never let them go again because that's his baby, and he can't lose them again.

-Sanji is so unbelievably relieved because he wasn't sure it was going to work. He even gets apologies from Zoro and Nami, who are both widely overwhelmed. He nearly cries when he hears (Name) call him "Uncle Sanji" again. (Name) asked for something to eat, which he was more than happy to do for them.

-Zoro is really shaken by this event. More than anything, he wants to hold (Name) tight, he wants to scold them for scaring everyone like that, he wants to wrap them up in a blanket and never let them go. What he ends up doing is sitting and watching (Name) from a safe distance.

-To say (Name) is flooded with affection is an understatement. Anything they could ever ask for is accommodated. (Name) is confused, feeling as if they'd had a long sleep and nothing more. Robin did her best to explain that they'd been gone for a while, and everyone had missed them dearly.

-To say Luffy improves as a father is an understatement. He wasn't a bad parent, but he was a little reckless; after (Name) was returned to him, Luffy relaxed a bit and was more aware of what (Name) needed.

-In the end, the crew watches (Name) like hawks to ensure that they're safe and happy.

Luffy

He doesn’t really care what you go and do as long as you don’t get seriously injured, that’s when he gets nervous about you wandering off. Otherwise he’s all for it, and ready for whatever idiotic excursion you have planned.

One time you guys took turns throwing stones at a wasp’s nest to see who could break it first, which ended with the two of you getting chased through the whole forest and stung by a swarm of furious wasps. Chopper wasn’t impressed when Luffy and you got dragged to the infirmary by Nami to have the hundreds of stingers removed.

The crew always ends up scolding both of you every time they find out what you did, Nami delivering the harshest lectures. She gets irritated at the slightest idea of what you two might do next and tries to keep you both in line, but it’s only a matter of time before you and Luffy wander off. While you’re both strong enough to stay out of serious danger, the urge to do something reckless is much stronger.

Zoro

He’s used to these kinds of situations, with Luffy being his captain and all. He’ll often follow you around to make sure you don’t get seriously injured, until he gets lost trying to figure out where you darted off to. He definitely yells at you when you do something ridiculously stupid, but it’s not like it isn’t deserved.

When you and Zoro had gone to a forest to search for an herb Chopper needed, you had wandered off when he wasn’t looking. He gave up on looking for you and just waited for you to reappear. When you finally came back to him after disappearing for an hour covered in dirty scratches, he was beyond annoyed. More so when you told him what happened.

“What the hell did you think was going to happen when you picked up a wild animal, y/n?” Sometimes Zoro thinks you should just stay on the ship when they dock at an island, but he knows you’ll figure out a way to do something dumb in there too.

Sanji

Sanji gets worried whenever you get lost, and is very dramatic whenever something happens to you. He’ll start following you around everywhere, and it’s very hard to lose him once he does. He doesn’t exactly breathe down your neck, he just tries to keep you away from acting on potentially dangerous ideas. The poor man tries to distract you with anything else, but it never satisfies your desire to do something impulsive.

The one time he left you alone was on a trip to a small beach everyone was at, and you ended up coming to him asking for help with removing a crab dangling from your face. He didn’t feel comfortable leaving you alone after that, especially when he had to yank on the crab a couple times before it released its death grip on your cheek. He nearly fainted at the small mark it’s pinchers had left on you.
