every time I think about casting for SOTR I just get sad because like I know to be movie consistent they're going to have to cast a blond, blue-eyed guy to be Haymitch, which was disappointing but acceptable for the original trilogy since we didn't see much of his backstory and so it didn't really matter

but now, so much of his backstory in SOTR relies on him being from the Seam, which means that it's going to be erasing the idea that the class separation in district 12 is also racial separation

Whoever cast the movies clearly didn't read into it any more than surface level which is kinda sad
