Well, I really like fairytales. They feed the little girl inside me lol. The art’s adorable I’ll admit, but the protagonist looks like a loli and I’ve had plenty of loli experiences that make me wish there was Brain Bleach so… XD Regardless, I’ve heard it’s a pretty good game, so I’ll probably give it a go sometime since it’s fairytale-y. (・ｖ・´*)

Grimm continues 2

Sorry for the quiet period. I had a friend over for a week and Pokémon stole away my gaming time.

So, a new chapter begins and we are traveling in a forest. A boy, in a red cape runs towards us and bumps into me, heroine, and scurries off busily. You're wondering what the hell, but this happens in total THREE times. Hameln makes a comment about it being like a cliché romcom situation.

We arrive in a small village and are greeted by the boy in a red cape, who says that everyone calls him The Red Riding Hood/Akazukin. (I'll refer to him as Red)

You hand him something he dropped while bumping into you and he asks you to come with him to see his grandmother. Grandma makes you strawberry pie and Red eats almost all of it. She also tells you that she has heard about your village in rumors, but nothing specific. You thank Grandma and Red for their hospitality and go on your way.

Grandma gives Red a key, like the other guys have, and says that he should go on an adventure too. She isn't going to live much longer and he'll be lonely then. Red vehemently refuses and says he wants to stay there in the village. Grandma chooses not to pursue the matter and makes a comment about the weather getting worse, maybe Red should go check on the travelers from before. Red smells a wolf nearby and agrees, going after the travelers.

You make a note how it has gotten dark fast, after leaving the village. You encounter a skinny wolf, saying he hasn't eaten in 3 months, and asks for a piece of the strawberry pie you got from Red's grandma. Red then suddenly jumps out of the bushes, saying that you shouldn't trust wolves, since they are all alike.

You hear a sound, howling?, from the village and Red says he smells the wolves scent again, now from the village's direction. He get's worried of Grandma and scurries off to check on her. You choose to follow him and leave the bewildered starving wolf behind.

You find the fence around the village broken and Grandma's house empty, ransacked and there's blood all over the place. Red loses it, runs back to the forest, trying to catch the culprit wolf. Instead he runs into the starving wolf from before. Red is enraged and doesn't believe the wolf who claims he hasn't done anything to Red's Grandma, and attacks him. But the scared wolf is shielded by a Witches magic, who appears. Red says he has no business with the witch, only the wolf. Witch says she can't let Red beat up her worker and attacks Red with fire spells.

You and rest of the crew finally catch up with Red. You get to choose from helping him, or seeing how it goes. Of course I'm going to help him.

Ludwig calls upon a huge water bucket, and I call upon an elephant and ask for him to put out the fire with the water in the bucket. The elephant complies, until the Witch stops him. She throws in another fire spell, and just as you're wondering how you're going to make it through this, the wolf says he's too hungry to move and the Witch deems it is best to withdraw for now, and teleports away with the wolf.

Red ponders about what he should do, he still wants to avenge his Grandma and his parents who were also killed by wolves. He then asks if he can join our quest on finding our brothers. Ludwig and Hameln bicker about it, but seems like Red is coming along as well. He shows that he has a key also and tells that Grandma gave it to him. He goes to say farewell to his parent's grave and Grandma before we continue onwards.

Next chapter we arrive into another village with a huge tall tower in it. A woman approaches you, asking if you are her daughter. Bewildered, you say no. The woman then apologizes and tells a story, how her daughter is held in the tower by a witch(The basic Rapunzel story, you know) and that you should be careful too.

You go to the tower and wonder how you are supposed to get up, when there are no doors or anything to climb. You get to choose if you're going to ask anyone if they have any good idea. I ask Hameln, and he says, a bit too carefree that no, he hasn't got a single clue. You comment that he should at least think about it before answering. You then remember reading a story like this before and yell up to the tower to drop something down you can climb up. Long golden braid falls down. You get to choose if you want to climb it or not. Either way, you are going to climb it and Ludwig says you should tie your skirt so no one can peek underneath, so you do and start climbing the braid.

You slip and you get to choose if you call Ludwig or Red for help or just manage on your own. I went with managing on my own and see a window or something and get inside. (I dunno, I think I missed something in this scene..)

Inside you find a girl with looooong beautiful golden hair. ..Playing PS2 and munching on snacks. She says she's Rapunzel and you say you came to rescue her. She asks why, she has it all here. The witch is nice to her, buys all the games and everything she could ever ask for. Then she hears that the witch seems to be returning and you should hide, she's nice but she told no one else should come up the tower.

A witch appears, but it is not the witch that has raised Rapunzel, it is the witch who you fought with from before. Rapunzel first pays no attention to her and continues playing her video game. The witch gets angry and breaks the screen the game was playing on. Rapunzel freaks out and starts screaming how close she was to the final and that she hadn't saved. Now that the distraction is gone, the witch says that the other witch had sold Rapunzel to her, and that she's going to take Rapunzel and make her her maid. Rapunzel ceases her screaming, and says the witch is lying, she isn't going to be anyone's maid, she wants to stay here. The witch starts to force Rapunzel with her, but you won't let that happen and call out a tiny puppy and ask him to stop the witch. The puppy runs to the witch and bites down on her ankle, the witch then falls down from the tower Rapunzel in tow. Without thinking you jump after her. Ludwig, who had climbed to the tower can't believe how stupid you are, and jumps after you. He calls out a parachute, grabs you both and you safely make it to the ground.

The witch attacks you with the fox and wolf from earlier, they both are underlings. And apparently Hameln didn't eat the whole fox, just his tail. And witch helped to grow it back. 

Again you are unsure how you're going to make it through this, when Rapunzel says she knows healing magic. The witch who raised her tried to teach her magic, but she was more interested in the games, but she at least know how to do this. The witch didn't think Rapunzel would have this kind of ability and forfeits, running away with her underlings.

It then comes clear that Rapunzel too has this mysterious key. She then says that she kept it because it reminds her of some kind of Flag item from a game. She's a gaming otaku for sure, also made a note that she had played a game called "Princess Nightmare", which is another title by Karin.

Instead of going to see her real parents, Rapunzel wants to see the world and grow to be a decent person. She never before had left the tower, so now she wants to travel with you guys.

Next chapter, you are in a forest again. You come across a salesman who asks if you want to buy anything. Then you get to choose if you do indeed want to buy anything and then choose from three peculiar items he has. ...Like a log of wood growing mushroom, some sort of strawberry tasting thing and a flower ornament between some glass or plastic or whatever. These obviously have something to do with the characters, and who you want your ending with. I picked the shroomy log, since it has something to do with Hameln. Strawberry stuff is obviously Red's item and the flower was Ludwig's favorite flower.

After shopping and advancing in the forest Rapunzel gets disgusted by frogs and Red says he will kill them for her. He then gets attacked by goblins and an all out war between you and them begins. One of the goblins attacks Ludwig and you save him, by calling out a Lion, who then attacks the goblin who then runs away. Ludwig says that the goblin stole his summoning bookwhatever he got from his older brothers. You get to choose if you'd rather stay with Hameln and Red who are fighting the goblins, or go pursue the thief one with Ludwig and Rapunzel. I'd rather stay, but you still go after the thieving goblin.

You find the goblin, and before Ludwig can stop you, you destroy your element of surprise by being a loud mouth. The goblin then takes aim on you and tries to attack you, but you are protected from the attack. Your savior is a ...frog. Who is sitting on a white stallion. Rapunzel screams in the background how OBVIOUSLY in such a situation the person arriving on a white stallion must be a handsome man. The frog inquires about your health, you say you are fine. The frog says he is actually a Prince, who under some circumstances happens to look like a frog, and that he heard your team had keys so he came searching for you. He then produces a key of his own, saying it is a family heirloom. Ludwig is suspicious, and so is frog-hating Rapunzel. You say sorry to the Prince, but he says it is okay. You'll paths will cross again soon enough. You got back Ludwig's summoning book and return to Hameln and Red, but mostly Red, fighting off the goblins. You join them and finish off the remaining attackers. You get so relieved your stomach grumbles and Red vouches for looking for food. Rapunzel fangirls about Red's and Hameln's closened bond during them fighting together and ushers Hameln to join Red on their look out for something to eat.

They return pretty fast, to Rapunzel's dismay, Red towing the Frog Prince from before, after him. The Prince saying that he did say that their paths would cross again. Red is telling the dinner to shut up. But more goblins appear, all of you and the Prince slay the newly appeared goblins. He then joins on your quest, instead of getting eaten.

After a picnic on a field(group shot CG) you continue your journey to a town, you heard about from a sales man who said that some science making brothers should be at.

Soon you'll reach the town of Brehmen(or something), but it starts raining and you run to take cover into a near by inn. The Frog Prince was pretty happy about the rain, and got made fun of. He says it was his body acting on its own.

You get a room with Rapunzel who immediately gets in mood for some girl talk, and asks if you have someone you're interested in. You then get to choose if you'll tell her, or rather keep it as a secret. Then you get to choose from describing adjectives of the guys on the journey with you.

Then you go to bed and see a weird dream.

NOW, I got here and I got the BAD END. :´D I knew this, because Karin's games have some fucked up difficult choosing right answers for routes. So this is where the story splits into different character routes. I looked up for a walkthrough and skipped the game to this point, going after Hameln in the answers.
