In response to the grievous affront that Warner Bros. issued only days ago, let's find out who is really the most hated character in the Hogwarts Legacy universe, as prompted by your submissions.

If we don't have a decisive winner, we'll do a runoff.

Notes: I took Ignatia Wildsmith out of the running because she's not actually a character, and I was afraid she'd win. Also, I included the characters listed in the WB video to create a sense of impartiality. “The Extraordinary League of Gentlemen Callers”

A woman’s place in society was determined a success through one action only: marriage. It mattered not if the gentleman was rich, poor, titled, or part of the landed gentry when the alternative to the respectability marriage offered was dishonor by being labeled a spinster or worse— taking a position as a governess (shiver).

Pending misfortune and lauded as unfit year after year, a young lady had several options afforded to her if her wit and charm did not meet the standards of the day: ask her father or brother to arrange a suitable marriage, entrap a man, or if luck would have it— enlist the assistance of the very secret, very reputable, and very successful “League of Gentlemen Callers”.

This certainly became the case of a one Zenobia Noke, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Nokia, when realizing herself desperate, wanting, and eager to show the world that she too was a suitable young lady. She found herself accepting the dance of a most unsuitable gentleman… if she could call him that.

He stood, a head shorter than her, his mop of hair too mussed for an acceptable and appropriate night of dancing, his smile too impish as though it held too many secrets from the world, eyes that glinted in search for opportunity, and a voice… oh the voice.

“Lucan Brattleby! At your disposal my lady!”

It was horrifying. Too forward. Too questionable with his incessant questions.

She had tuned him out at the third turn of the hall, smiling politely as she regarded the room over his shoulder and the ridiculous mop of curls on his head.

“—think on it will you?”

“Mmhm,” she nodded absently.

“Imagine! The line of gentlemen at your door after just one visit from my lads!”

“Mmhm— excuse me… what?”

Who's Danny's best friend?

Thank you for the ask! ☺️

Danny has a circle of besties that he would trust with his life. Currently out of the canon HL characters, Garreth, Poppy, Amit, Samantha, Ominis and Imelda I have more solid stablished headcanons for. I don't have much for Danny's interactions with Anne and Sebastian yet, other than they would get along well though the troublemaking nature of Sebs concerns him sometimes. For sure I know that Garreth, Poppy, Amit, Samantha and Ominis would be among Danny's best friends. Eventually, he and Poppy start a romance around their fourth or fifth year.

His friendship with Imelda also deserves an honorable mention. She and Danny are also friendly rivals at Quidditch and respect each other immensely. They start to get closer after the incident where Everett and Astoria trick Imelda into stealing first year Zenobia's gobstones in their third year. Danny helps Imelda confront her flaws and better handle peer pressure and upholding her reputation.

That's the current state at which my HL canon friendships for Danny are at, it'll change in the future as I expand his interactions.
