#went back and re-read that fight and 😌 still hits#Unohana surrendering her life because she’s only of worth if she can raise up a stronger power#Zaraki finally realizing he’s been scared of never feeling this way again and KILLING HER ANYWAY#Unohana descending into the depths and dying a criminal because she no longer can justify being a captain#she’s been waiting for him to kill her. she’s been waiting to truly pass it on#well she has now. and Zaraki is now truly the captain he can be#and it’ll be fun for this war#and she KNOWS the aimless boredom and lack of fulfillment this path brings#but she considers living as the weaker Kenpachi a larger sin then all that#like my god it’s SO GOOD THESE PEOPLE ARE A FUCKING MESS#also no I’ll never let go of this screencap
