I'm working on a series of illustrations of ninjas with their respective elements in the form of "animals" and I need ideas. I'm taking creative liberties because I never really liked those associated with them in the show.
For now Kai still has a lion, Cole a bear instead of a gorilla, Lloyd a dragon for obvious reasons, with Zane I'm still deciding between a wolf or a snowy owl. With Nya probably a horse (the phoenix never made much sense for me). And with Jay I think a snake would work but idk
Tell me what animals you associate each ninja with and their elements. They don't have to be the ones from the show but I'm curious

New pfp and name! I was originally randomari but now I’m owlghosts9, just to let y’all know. I rly like owls. Snowy owls, in particular. Now some fun facts about me bc I don’t rlly talk much about myself.
I’ve had a Ninjago hyperfixation since I was 9
My favorite seasons (not including Dragons Rising) are Seabound and Sons of Garmadon
My favourite character was Zane until I was about 11 and then it became Jay and then Kai and now I don’t really know
I’ve been very interested in snowy owls since I was 8
First time I read Percy Jackson I was 8, and then I tried to read the second book but I didn’t like it for some reason and at 10 I forced myself to and then I finished the series and I really liked it so it was worth it
But I didn’t know Heroes of Olympus existed so I only read that when I was 13
My favourite PJO characters include Grover, Thalia, Nico, Annabeth, and Jason
I’m a daughter of Hades
uh that’s it!!

Au where some random new villain turns all the ninja into animals, what animal do you think they’d all be if that happened and what animal characteristics would stick with them after they turned back
Oooh...
Kai - A scruffy looking coyote - Kai was always known as having a pretty iron stomach, but no one could handle Cole’s cooking...until someone had spent a little while as a very opportunistic little omnivore.
Zane - A huge snowy owl - the others all think he got away without any residual side effects, until a night where Nya, Cole, and Lloyd all end up with braided hair. Turns out snowy owls will preen the young of their family, and Zane will braid (and wash, if given the opportunity) anyone’s hair.
Cole - An amur leopard - Cole now has an unfortunate habit of hiding snacks all over the Bounty. New boundaries had to be established after Jay found him in a closet eating a slice of cake.
Jay - A Mexican free-tailed bat - It took a while to figure out, but everyone agrees the echolocation is far more of a bonus than a real drawback.
Nya - a giant river otter - A now very social Nya does not like being alone at all. Lloyd had already moved into a fifth bunk in the boys’ room, she just nabbed the top bunk above him when sleeping alone was now unthinkable.
Lloyd - An adorable sugar glider - He freaked Kai out immensely when he entered a torpor state for the first time. Kai thought he was sick or injured and had fell into a coma, meanwhile Zane pulled out dinner from the oven and it woke him up no problem.

Wolves Of Secrets Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Lone Wolf
Dark was the night as the full moon shined over the great city of Ninjago. The cold, misty wind whistled through the city as the citizens went about their own business, either going home to be with their families for the rest of the evening or to their evening jobs. The city of Ninjago was built on the sunny side of a gentle mountain and was truly a beautiful place. Its grace was only matched by the backdrop of lush, green forests which have helped shape the ancient city to what it was today.
The city had a very clear Japan, Tokyo feeling too it.
The city's skyline was growing with stylish skyscrapers and they each represented the many different aspects of the sizeable city. Businesses were booming in Ninjago and it had attracted a lot of attention. A few new cultures had left their mark not just on education, but also upon the city's identity. What historically was a city of predictability has grown into a new culture of variety and it's this that united the nearly 6 million people to this day.
It's this multicultural identity that had truly left its mark.
Hundreds of gastropubs, bakeries, and clubs offer a plethora of culinary choices. Those who felt hungry for something else could enjoy art galleries, musical activities, photography, or one of the many other recreational activities. Just outside the main city area, right on the edge of the dark forest, stood a large, lone house. In this house was a very special family. From the outside, this house looked cosy. It had been built many, many years ago with white bricks and had spruce wooden decorations.
Small, half-rounded windows added to the overall style of the house and had been added to the house in a fairly asymmetrical pattern.
The house was equipped with a large kitchen, two bathrooms, and three bedrooms. It also had a large living room, four bedrooms, a roomy dining room, a garage, and a large basement. The roof was high and slanted to one side and was covered with black ceramic tiles with a small chimney. Many smaller windows let in plenty of light to the rooms below the roof. The house itself was surrounded by quite a modest garden, with mostly grass, a few colourful flower patches, and a small shed at the other end of the garden.
Inside the house, a young teenage boy sat on the couch, eating popcorn and watching a movie.
This was Lloyd Garmadon. He had long, blonde tousled hair, and brown arched eyebrows with bright emerald green eyes that many people would state could sometimes glow in the dark. He wore a dark green jacket with a white t-shirt and black pants and black and dark green sneakers. As the clock was about to strike midnight, Lloyd was about to turn the boring movie off when suddenly with was a rustling sound outside. Fearing the worst, he quickly switched off the TV, grabbed his coat, and ran outside.
As soon as he stepped out into the cold night, however, instead of the rustling he had heard mere seconds before, all he could hear was an owl hooting nearby and the wind howling through the trees.
He was about to go back inside when all of a sudden he heard a loud crash from the other side of the house. He quickly ran towards the sound and was shocked by what he saw. He saw a full-grown, grey timber wolf sniffing around some turned over trash cans, snacking at the rancid chicken meat. He looked to the steel doors to the basement and was horrified to see another wolf attempting to jump out. As soon as the grey wolf sensed him, it slowing turned around to face the teen with a low growl, baring its sharp teeth.
Lloyd, however, was completely unfazed by this and he simply stood up straight.
"Get back inside!" He roared, startling the wolf for a second before it crouched down and started snarling louder. Instead of running away, however, Lloyd simply lowered onto his knees and bared his blunt teeth at the wolf. His emerald green eyes suddenly turned to a stunning gold that shined in the dark. The teen and the wolf snarled at each other as Lloyd slowly crawled forward, making the wolf back up. The grey wolf suddenly yelped as it fell back into the dark cellar.
Lloyd's eyes returned to their normal color as he stood up and looked into the dark pit.
Suddenly one of the wolves jumped up and bit into his thick coat's sleeve, ripping it off as the wolf fell back down. Not missing a beat, Lloyd quickly closed and locked the cellar doors, looking at the full moon as the wolves muffled howls sounding into the night...
****************
The next morning, as the rain came pouring down, Lloyd quickly got dressed and ran down to the cellar. He loudly slid the iron door open and stepped inside where he saw his mother Misako and his uncle Wu slowly getting to their feet as the finished getting dressed. His mother had ash grey hair braid into a ponytail with a snowy white streak and pale green eyes. She wore a pale khaki utility jacket with dark brown pants and a short, dark green scarf.
Wu was an elderly man with a long white beard.
He was wearing white robes and a conical straw hat. They both yawned and stretched as Lloyd glared daggers at them.
"I think that chicken was off." Misako gagged as she clutched her stomach.
"I can't believe you two." Lloyd glared Breaking out and raiding the bins."
"Oh, Lloyd!" She cried as she rushed forward and examined his arm. "I am so sorry! I didn't break the skin, did I?! Does it need stitches?!" She panicked, but he pulled his arm away from him.
"You always say how I have to stay hidden from humans and never give in to our wolves." He growled as they walked back upstairs to the kitchen. "Yet the moment you get a chance, you're out of the cellar and away!"
"You don't understand how powerful the pull of the full moon is," Wu explained. "When you're old enough to take wolf form-"
"I won't be a hypocrite, who says stay hidden and then breaks out at the first whiff of food!" He replied and turned to his mother with a slightly disgusted look. "And that chicken..."
"Actually, your mother's not the only one who's been eating things she shouldn't, is she?" Wu frowned as he opened the trash can to reveal the leftover popcorn.
"Yes, and you were still dressed when you came outside, young man." Smiled Misako when her son froze. "Didn't we agree in bed at 10 on school nights?"
"I'm going to miss the bus." He quickly said and ran for the front door. When he made to grab his coat, however, he let out a long sighed when he saw the missing sleeve...
****************
Lloyd blushed furiously as he kept his eyes on the school floor as the other students stared and laughed at his soaked clothes. He let out a small growl as he shivered; his mother owed him a new coat.
"Hey, Lloyd!" A voice called out and he looked up to see his friends Zane Jullien, Jay Walker, Kai Smith, Nya Smith, and Cole Brookstone stood by their lockers, waiting for him.
Jay reddish-brown curly hair with brown eyebrows and light freckles with dark blue eyes. He wore a blue jacket with a white stripe over a white t-shirt and blue pants with an orange wooly scarf.
Zane had platinum blonde, almost white, hair that stood up straight in something like a crew cut and bright icy blue eyes. He wore white pants and shoes with a long-sleeved, cyan blue shirt under a navy blue knitted vest.
Kai had tall, thick spiky brown hair, shaped like fire and bright amber eyes that shined like burning embers. He had a focused expression on his face, with a scar visible on his right eyebrow and bandage above his left. He wore a red half-zipped-up jacket over a white shirt with some kind of Japanese symbol on the back of the jacket and brown pants.
Nya was Kai's younger sister who had long black hair kept in a ponytail, pale pink lipstick, small dimples on her cheeks with dark brown eyes, and she had a beauty mark on her right cheek. She was wearing a leather jacket over a white shirt with blue stripes and dark blue torn jeans.
Cole had a very muscular body, being the strongest kid in the whole school, with long, shaggy black hair and bushy eyebrows with very dark green eyes that reminded Lloyd of cold emerald stones. He wore a black leather jacket and pants with a dark brown tank top and black heavy-duty boots.
Lloyd smiled as he walked over to them. They were the only people who could possibly understand the struggles he faced every day as a teenage werewolf; because so were they. Well... sort of anyway. Only he and Nya had yet to transform on a full moon, but they knew it could happen any month now and they were both nervous and excited.
"What happened to you?" Jay asked when they saw he was dripping water into the hallways.
"My coat got eaten by werewolves." He deadpanned.
"Don't you start too." Kai groaned.
"We've already had this from... Oh, Pixel!" Nya suddenly smiled as the said girl walked over to them. Pixel had pale, almost white, skin with wide lips and bright green eyes. Her hair was styled like Nya's and was a very light platinum blonde. She had a purple dress with red details and an opening in her left arm that showed a part of her chest, and red heels. Lloyd simply smiled and rolled his eyes. Pixel Borg was the only one in their friend group that wasn't a werewolf.
She was a very good friend to them, mostly to Zane, since childhood and it hurt them they couldn't share their secret with her.
"Did you hear last night in the forest?" She asked with a big smile on her face, but they all shrugged. "Howling." She replied and they froze as she pulled out her cell phone. "Here, look what I found on Carper's Lane this morning." She explained as she showed them a picture of a paw print in the mud. "I'm going to compare it to paw-print photos of different dogs."
"What, every type of dog?" Cole scoffed.
"This is proof." She insisted. "Proof that there's something weird over there in the forest."
"Pix, if your father found out that you snuck off into the forest in the middle of the night again he wouldn't be too pleased," Zane warned.
"If I can prove there is some kind of undiscovered creature in the forest then that alone would guarantee my scholarship into Horizon Academy."
"You know your father could pull some strings and get you in there no problem." Jay pointed out.
"I know, but I want to earn my spot and my father understands and respects that." She explained.
"Hey, Pixel!" One of the cheerleaders, Maggie, suddenly called out. "I saw something weird in the forest, you!"
"Haven't you got hair-curlers to play with or something?" Nya snapped before she and her friends quickly walked away.
"I really need to start my research, I'll catch up with you all later." Pixel smiled before she made a beeline for the library; as soon as she was out of sight, Nya suddenly grabbed the boys and shoved them into a nearby janitor's closet.
"Alright, who was it?" She glared.
"Wasn't me!" Jay exclaimed fearfully and the rest quickly denied it as well. Lloyd eyed each of them carefully. It could only have been Cole, Kai, or Zane; they were the only ones who spent the full moon on Zane's father's property deep in the forest. Since she couldn't transform yet Nya stayed in their apartment in the city and Jay spent it on her parents' junkyard on the other side of the city. The only problem was that Dr. Jullien's home was far from where Pixel said she found the paw prints.
He also knew the guys wouldn't go near the city, full moon or not.
"Maybe it wasn't one of us," Lloyd suggested. "My mom managed to get out the cellar last night and when I got them back in they started howling, and that paw print could have come from a normal dog."
"I suppose." She sighed when the bell suddenly rang; the group sighed as they made their way to their first classes. Lloyd quickly ran to his locker to get some of his textbooks when he suddenly caught the scent of something odd. It was a new scent, meaning whoever it belonged to was here very recently. He was about to follow the scent when he walked right into one of his teachers, Miss Koko. She had bright orange hair with amber eyes.
She wore orange lipstick and a pale brown suit.
"Lloyd, what are you doing? It's time for class." She ordered and Lloyd quickly scurried to his first class, making a mental note to investigate the scent later...
****************
As soon as Lloyd ran into the classroom he immediately took his seat next to Jay. This was one of the few classes he and all his friends had together. As soon as he took his seat a teacher he hadn't seen before walked in with a big smile on his face.
She had greying brown hair tied in a bun and a dark blue dress.
"Welcome aboard students! My name is Ms. Laudita and I'm your new Social Studies teacher," She smiled as a student stepped into the room. "Everyone! This is Morro Ren, he's new here so I hope you'll all make sure he feels welcome." She explained and Lloyd was suddenly hit with the same smell from before. He looked up and saw the new kid eyeing them all cautiously. Lloyd quickly looked to the others and saw they had realized the same thing as him.
Morro Ren possessed long jet black hair with a dark green streak dyed in it and dark brown eyes.
He was wearing a pale green shirt with torn brown pants and black boots. As he moved to take a seat at the back of the class, he and Lloyd glared each other down without a word. The class continued as normal until the bell rang and Morro all but ran out, Lloyd and the others following close behind. As soon as Morro stepped into an empty stairwell Kai and Cole blocked his path.
"What are you doing here?" Nya growled.
"What?" The new kid asked, confusion clear on his face. "I'm looking for-
"No, here! On our territory!" Jay exclaimed.
"Do you not know the rules?" Zane asked.
"You can't stay here." Kai huffed.
"If my mom and uncle get a sniff of you-"
"I don't even know you!" Morro snapped as he took deep breaths.
"Exactly!" Lloyd exclaimed in frustration.
"I don't care whose territory this is; I'm not sticking around anyway, and why would I in this dump?" He sarcastically asked. "No smelly brats tell me whether to stay or go." He stated before shoving passed Kai and Cole and running down the stairs...
****************
Later that day everyone was sat at their usual table in the cafeteria, enjoying their lunches. When Pixel and Dareth had joined them, Zane had explained what had happened with Morro when Pixel asked why they were all in a sour mood; leaving out some key details of course.
"We're not smelly!" Cole hissed angrily as he devoured a large slice of cake.
"Well, except for Jay." Kai shrugged absently, getting a hurt cry from the said boy and a kick from Nya.
"You did kind of start it." Pointed out Pixel.
"No, we didn't." Nya defended.
"Someone must know something about him or his family." Suggested Zane. "Seen moving vans, something." He added as a member of Kai's soccer team, Chad, walked over to their table.
"Hey, Kai, are you going to ask the new kid to try out?" He asked though it sounded more like an order.
"I don't think he's the right sort for the team." He replied, keeping his eyes on his food.
"Fine, I'll ask." Chad huffed and walked over to Morro's empty table.
"Wait." Cole gasped but it was too late.
"Relax guys, he won't bite." Pixel frowned at their behavior and the group shared nervous looks. They turned back to Chad and Morro when the new kid suddenly got up and right into a startled Chad's face.
"I don't like soccer and I don't want to hang around with you and your weirdo friend! You got that?!" He roared, sending a pointed look at Kai and everyone sat at the table.
"Obviously, they don't teach manners where he's from." Nya glared as Chad speed walked over to them on shaking legs.
"Next time, you need to approach the weird kid." He hissed to Kai as the cheerleaders suddenly pushed passed them and over to Morro's table, completely looking over the way he had just spoken to Chad. Before the new kid could escape, a blonde cheerleader named Harumi Jade took a seat next to him and practically curled around his arm, much to his disgust. Harumi had long white hair with long bangs fashioned in a bun with chopsticks.
She wore a green jacket with matching pants, a white shirt with red lotus flowers, and full lips painted red.
"Hey cutie, since you've only just got here the principle thought it would be a good idea for someone to show you around, and we know everything about this school; all the best clubs and people to hang out with." She explained as she flashed him a big smile.
"Those weird kids, who're they?" He asked as he pointed over to Lloyd's table, where they were still watching him.
"Oh, that's just Lloyd Garmaddon, Pixel Borg, Zane Jullien, Jay Walker, Kai Smith, Nya Smith, and Cole Brookstone." One of the cheerleaders happily said, only to cower away at Harumi's glare.
"Their families have lived here for centuries." She quickly dismissed. "Never leave the area, don't like strangers or questions."
"They're all cuckoo!" Another cheerleader added.
"What are we talking about them for? Let's talk about you." Harumi smiled as she leaned closer, only to gasp when Morro suddenly stood up, grabbed his bag, and stormed off, leaving a furious Harumi and a dumbfounded Lloyd behind...
****************
After an awkward lunch, with Harumi and Chad and their groups giving them the stink eye, Lloyd and the others finally had had enough and went to their lockers to get their stuff for their next class.
"Are you guys joining us on Miss Jinro's forest stakeout?" Zane asked hopefully.
"It's open to anyone but is part of the ninth grade syllabus so all freshmen have to go," Pixel added with a smile. The others just rolled their eyes and chuckled, only to stop when Cole suddenly froze right in front of them. They looked over the taller teen's shoulder and were irritated to see Morro looking through his own locker from something.
That wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't for the fact that his locker was right next to theirs.
Before they could do anything, however, Chad and his gang pushed them and 'accidentally' knocked into Morro, causing him to drop his bag and pieces of vegetables to come flying out. To say he was still sore about what Morro did in the cafeteria was an understatement.
"I thought I smelled something funny," Chad smirked as his gang laughed. "Is that your snack, freak?"
"Piss off," Morro growled. Unfortunately, this only made Chad angrier as he marched over to the new kid and violently shoved him into the lockers.
"Got a problem?!" He challenged, failing to see the veins on Morro's hands darkening as he bared his teeth. Before anyone could even blink, Morro suddenly jumped up, almost as high as the lockers, and pounced on the bully, sending them both to the ground. Feeling their stomachs dropping, Lloyd and his friends didn't miss a beat as they ran to stop the fight before any serious damage was done.
Kai and Cole managed to rip a snarling Morro off Chad while Pixel and Jay checked on the jock to make sure he was uninjured.
Quickly, Nya and Lloyd pushed the new kid into an empty art classroom just as Miss. Koko burst through the crowd of onlookers.
"What on Earth is going on here?" She glared as Zane, Cole, and Kai leaned against the door to the classroom, and Jay and Pixel helped Chad to his feet. Meanwhile, in the classroom, Nya and Lloyd mirrored their friends leaning against the door as Morro curled up on the ground, gasping for breath.
"What are you doing?" He cried out between breaths. "Get out!"
"Just breathe." Lloyd tried to reassure but Morro started growling as he backed further away.
"You have to get out!" He screamed as the veins in his face and neck started turning dark and his brown eyes turning a stunning yellow. Realizing it was too late now, Morro slowly looked up at them with a defeated look in his eyes. "I'm so sorry." He whimpered before he erupted into growls. Nya and Lloyd could only watch as his body shrunk and rearranged itself.
His clothes fell off his body as his skin was replaced with thick dark brown fur.
His face stretched out into a muzzle as his blunt human teeth sharpened. Once it was over, Morro slowly stood back up, but instead of a human, a full-grown timber wolf looked back at them. He snarled at the two teenagers before he suddenly started running around the room and on the tables, knocking several art supplies onto the floor.
"Morro!" Nya shouted and the wolf jumped down and snarled at them again.
Slowly, both teens knelt down to the floor with their heads down; when they did raise their heads they revealed their own bright yellow eyes, causing the wolf to freeze. He stared at them for a few moments before relaxing and lying down on the floor. Unfortunately, things weren't going so well outside the classroom for the others.
"He's crazy!" Chad cried as he finished telling his side of the story to Koko.
"You started it!" Pixel exclaimed.
"And where is Morro?" She asked but everyone just shrugged and looked around, still leaning against the door. "I'll catch up with him later; you two, follow me." She sighed as she led Pixel, Chad, and his group away. The friends waited until the crowd of students finally disappeared before they quickly ran into the classroom; only to find a human Morro putting his shirt on as Nya and Lloyd picked up all the items he had knocked over.
"I knew there was something about you guys." Morro smiled like a child on Christmas Day. "It's true, isn't it? You're all like me!"
"We're not like you!" Cole quickly said, a look of rage on his face, causing Morro's smile to drop.
"Yeah, we don't show off and pick fights and invades other packs' territory." Kai hissed.
"You're a danger to us all and the sooner you leave, the better," Nya added when all of a sudden the door to the classroom opened and one of the teachers walked in, only to freeze when he saw the state of the classroom.
"What happened here?" The teacher asked in shock. Morro simply huffed in annoyance as he pushed passed the stunned teacher and stormed down the hall and out of sight. They just let him go. Lloyd wanted to chase after him but he knew the others were right; Morro didn't belong here...
****************
After school, the gang went to their favorite hangout, the Yin & Yang Bistro, to gather their thoughts. They would have gone to Wu's tea shop, Steep Wisdom, but they didn't want Lloyd's uncle to listen in on their conversation. Alas, instead of a quiet place for them to discuss what they had witnessed as they had hoped, the gang had to watch as Miss Jinro's forest stakeout class met at the cafe to prepare.
"Apologies, students." She sighed as the class started to get impatient. "We're waiting for the last few stragglers to show and then we go."
"Ya've got five more minutes unless yer buying somethin'" The cafe owner, Mr. Burke, grumbled from the counter.
"I still think we should tell someone, you know," Jay whispered.
"Yeah, let's tell Mom and Uncle Wu that a strange werewolf just showed up at our school and trashed a classroom after trying to attack a student." Lloyd laughed bitterly.
"To be fair who hasn't wanted to kick Chad's ass." Kai snicked, only to yelp when his sister kicked him under the table.
"This isn't a joke Kai." She hissed as Pixel and Zane walked over to them.
"Are you coming to the forest walk too?" Zane kindly asked.
"Pass," Cole said as the rest scrambled for excuses. Just when they thought their day couldn't get any worse, however, Harumi and her army of cheerleaders suddenly walked in and scanned the room.
"Hey, Burke, has Morro been here?" She asked sweetly.
"Who?"
"He's this tall and dreamy and he beat the crap out of Chad."
"Ah, the Dobsons' new foster kid." Burke laughed and the gang paled.
"M-Morro's in foster care?" Zane asked.
"Yeah, must have been a bad boy ta get moved all tha way up here for a fresh start."
"He's an orphan?" Cole gasped as a look of shame on his face, hard with the others.
"Most foster children have parents somewhere." Pixel stated. "He was probably moved up by Social Services so he to get away from them." She added and Lloyd's stomach dropped in horror. Morro was probably all alone in the world, stuck in a strange place, with no-one to turn to; trying to make it in the world all alone and he and when he does meet another one of his own kind they reject him. Before anyone could say another word, Lloyd, Cole, Jay, and Kai ran out of the bistro, leaving everyone in a stunned and confused silence...
****************
The four teenage boys spent the better part of half an hour tracking the new kid all over the entire city until they followed his scent to the forest at the edge of the city. The giant forest was tremendous, gloomy, and lush. Its canopy was ruled by willow, oak, walnut, and cottonwood, who let through enough dancing beams of sunshine for a hodgepodge of sprouts to rule the insect riddled soils below. Many people were too scared to enter.
Only nature lovers, hikers, and the occasional dog walker ever went in the forest.
Coiling branches clung to many a tree, and a potpourri of flowers, which desperately tried to avoid the shadows, spruced up the otherwise homogeneous scenery. A mixture of beastly sounds, most belonged to foraging animals, added life to the forest, and were out of sync with the sound of the wind blowing gently through the forest. Many normal humans had gotten lost in the dense green world, but Lloyd and the others knew this place like the back of their hands.
They decided to split up, hoping to cover more ground.
Jay and Lloyd went to search closer to the road while Cole and Kai went deeper into the forest. As they walked along the empty road, Lloyd suddenly grabbed his friend's arm and pointed further up the road where they saw Morro Ren walking along the edge of the road, his head down. They knew must have smelled or heard them, so he was simply ignoring them.
"Morro!" Lloyd shouted as they ran to catch up to him.
"Don't worry, I'm out of here." He growled, still looking at his feet as he picked up the pace.
"Please don't! We're sorry, don't go, we can help you." Jay pleaded.
"Help?" He scoffed. "I've had help; counseling and other stupid shit."
"You need to learn to control your wolf self before someone gets hurt... probably you," Lloyd explained, only for them both to jump when Morro suddenly turned around and glared daggers at them
"You're just like the rest of them!" He snarled.
"We know about the Dobsons," Jay replied in a trembling voice. "We know you're alone."
"So?"
"We're like you, you saw that." Lloyd tried to reassure, only for the new kid to shove them away.
"You might like me, you think the same as them!" He snapped. "You're just trying to make me better; but, you know what? What I am, what I turn into, that is way better!" He roared with a big grin on his face. "It's better than anything I've ever known and I'm not letting anyone take that away from me!"
"We're not gonna let you do this," Lloyd warned.
"Go ahead, stop me!" He jeered with a cruel laugh. "Use your wolfy powers and see how long it takes for someone to find out what you are; because no one at school knows your little secret, do they?" He asked and they looked away, their thoughts drifting to Pixel for a brief second. "I thought not; I've got nothing to lose here, unlike you." He smirked before taking off into the forest at full speed.
"Hey!" Jay cried as they chased after him.
"Stop!" Lloyd called as he disappeared into the trees. If they hadn't been werewolves Lloyd and Jay might have lost him, if not for their incredible sense of smell, or Morro's cheap cologne. They quickly tracked him down and before the smug kid could even blink he was tackled by them both. They all cried out and grunted as they rolled down the hill and crashed into the dirt trail. After they managed to untangle themselves, Lloyd was shocked to see Pixel and Zane standing in the middle of the trail with Miss Jinro's forest stakeout class.
Seconds later Kai and Cole came running over the hill and into the awkward tension.
"Sorry, we're late, everyone." Kai weakly chuckled. "Seen any squirrels yet?"
"No, you lot have scared off every animal for miles." Miss Jinro glared before turning to the group of students. "I'm sorry, everyone, we'll have to come back another day." She sighed as they walked away, leaving the gang, Pixel, and Morro alone. As soon as the teacher and class were gone, Pixel glared and advanced towards the group of boys.
"Well done, guys! This was something important to me and Zane." She snapped.
"There's something important we have to do." Cole tried to explain.
"Like what?"
"Morro is more important than any club." Lloyd glared. "The thing is... Morro and I... are related?" He quickly lied, shocking everyone. "Distant cousins; he's the black sheep of the family, and I didn't want him here, so I treated him badly, which is why he lashed out and trashed the classroom."
"We don't have to be best friends, but Morro's here now," Zane added.
"OK." Jay smiled.
"Sure." Pixel sighed.
"Welcome to Ninjago." Cole smiled as he gave the new kid a firm handshake.
"You really don't like soccer?" Kai suddenly asked. Everyone stared at him for a few seconds before they all burst out laughing, Morro included...
****************
Later that evening, as the sun was starting to set, casting it's beautiful orange and shadows among the forest, instead of going home with Zane and Pixel, Lloyd and the others stayed in the forest to have a talk with Morro. There were things they needed to sort out.
"So... where you from?" Kai asked.
"My parents used to live in Stiix; they... they died when I was two," Morro mumbled, his eyes fixed at the rustling branches of the trees.
"And nobody knows what you are?" Cole asked in shock and awe when he shook his head.
"So, what did you do for the full moon last night?" Jay asked.
"I couldn't stay in my bedroom, could I?" He scoffed. "I climbed out of my window and made for the forests."
"So it was your paw-print that Pixel found!" Lloyd gasped; none of them would have been nieve enough walk so close to the city in wolf form.
"Was it your first full moon change?" Asked Cole sympathetically, knowing how scared he was for his first full moon transformation.
"Second." He replied. "The first got me kicked out of my last foster home."
"What happened?" Jay asked.
"Don't know." He shrugged. "I went to bed and woke up in a ditch naked; turns out I trashed my bedroom, so they kicked me out." He mumbled before clearing his throat and straightening up. "Anyway, what about you? I mean, full moons must be epic out here."
"Yeah, they're pretty cool." Cole shrugged.
"Well, I and Nya haven't started transforming yet." Lloyd sighed.
"So, I know more about this stuff than you do?" He laughed.
"Yeah, you're the expert." Kai laughed. "That's why you lost it with Chad in front of half the school."
"I didn't know that could happen." Morro glared. "I only thought werewolves went hairy at the full moon."
"We feel the urge to change when we feel threatened or angry too," Jay explained. "Learn to control it, and you can transform whenever you want."
"How do you know all this stuff?"
"Our parents tell us." Kai shrugged and Morro's eyes grew to the size of saucers.
"You have parents like us?" He cried.
"Well, sort of." Lloyd winced and turned the others, who all gave their nods of approval. "I live with my Mom and uncle who are like us, Kai lives his sister and his parents are werewolves too but they're usually out of town on business, Cole lives with his dad but Lou's human, Zane lives with his dad who's one of us and Jay lives with his parents, but they're both humans."
"I'm adopted but they know what I am and they don't care." Jay quickly added when he saw Morro's confused look.
"We were all born this way, you're normal." Lloyd smiled. "Everything you thought made you a freak: sight, hearing, speed, sense of smell, they're all completely normal for a werewolf; if you stay you'd have a pack, at last, people to teach you."
"So, say I did stick around, only for a bit, no promises." He quickly said when he saw the hopeful looks on their faces. "No rules, no lectures, you can keep your group hugs and your big, furry family, I'll do things my way."
"A lone wolf, huh?" Kai smirked. "I think you and I are gonna get on great."
"Next time you lose control over your wolf self, what happens then?" Cole asked.
"Well, that'll be an interesting day, won't it?" Morro smirked as he got up and walked away. Lloyd and the others shared a nervous look, worrying about what the new day would bring...

- not to mention the whole school doesn’t trust him because his dad is an evil wizard
- he went to go eat in the hallway by himself when he found an older group of boys eating together all from different houses which turned out to be the ninja
- long story short he finally made some friends and he learns to accept his house uwuwuwu xdxdxdxd

Okay so
Kai was a candle bird for a year and was able to continue using the form since season 2
And Zane has been an icy owl for… since he entered the never realm and use the form since season 11
And with that, they picked up some of their bird habits
For example:
Kai has became very territorial about a few stuff. He also uses more body language to express himself.
For Zane, he turns his head around like an owl (for owls can turn their heads 270 degree) ((does not take away that he forgets the others are not use and get terrified every time he turns his head 180)). And he has gotten better eyesight at night plus extremely good hearing (thanks snowy owl)
For combined, Kai has made sounds that are basically bird vocalizations that, in short, has specific meanings.
For the longest time, no one has been able to understand, and Kai gets embarrassed when he accidentally slips one out
And then Zane comes with the owl form
And when the two are back to normal, that is when the chaos begins
Kai accidentally lets out a bird vocalization again. The others were about to tease him for it until Zane responds back with a bird vocalization. Everyone watches the white and red ninja talk bird to each other until they notice the stares.
Kai asks why they are staring
Jay says you and Zane just talked
Zane is confused and says yes
Then Jay continues with the two talking birds to each other
Cue everyone trying to figure out how the fck Zane and Kai could understand each other through bird while those two are having an existential crisis
Would you like to hear some element birbs fact while I finish writing the Story?
yes plz :D

Within the Gray Mist [4.]
Paring: Marufuji Ryo/Zane Truesdale x Reader
Summary:  [Dragon!AU] You were a village nobody, one of a many faces in the crowd. You’ve always thought your life will be simple and normal. But when you met a wounded dragon on one snowy day, everything you knew was challenged.
pervious: [3.] [masterlist]
“Ouch,” you hissed, rising a bucket full of water and clothing. With every stretch your muscules screamed in pain. You wasn’t able to see your back, but the constant pain asssured you that you were covered in bruises.
You started to hang clean clothing on the strings in the palace backyard, when you heard a noise. You turned around, shadowing your eyes from merciless sun, that burned your arms. The clothing you hung earlier, stayed unswayed till somebody decided it was an amazing idea to run through them. With a laugh, two girls appeared. One you knew; it was the girl called Princess Mana; and the other you didn’t recognize. You siged and turned back to your work, the earlier you finish, the sooner you’d be able to hide from the sun. “Hello!” the girl called out. “Hi!” You blinked and turned around; the princess was waving at you. You looked away and tensed. “Hey, what’s your name?” she stood beside you. “You were serving me breakfast past few days, right? I didn’t catch your name.” You clenched your teeth. She was doing this all the time; talking, asking, smiling. “So?” “______,” you mumbled, and bowed the way Aguhie taught you. “What a pretty name! And sounds so foreign!” she clapped her hands. “Pray tell, where are you from?” You pursed your lips, and stole a glance at the girl. She was beaming at you, with a curious sparkle in her dark eyes. The clothing waited for you in the basket, and you weren’t she sure if this idleness will be good for you. But you could appreciate a little relax it provided to your back. “Daksina Lands,” you replied minutes later. “Ooh! In the south, right?” she jumped with excitement. “I heard it’s really cold out there.” She looked at you, as if waiting for a reply. You nodded. You didn’t think it was really cold there, but for people of this land it could be. “Princess, let’s go,” the girl you earlier ignored, whined and tugged on the girls hand. She was dressed almost as extravagant as Mana, but surely looked more tidy. She glanced at you with distaste. Actually, you agreed with her on one point, the princess should go. “Don’t talk to her, she’s just a servant.” “Oh, don’t be rude, Nousha,” Mana scolded. The girl scoffed and turned away. Why has your presence annoyed her so much? People of Moratu Kingdom was so wierd, the old bowed to youngsters, women to men. They lived within blocks of stone, so suffocating and small, where the wind brings only a dust and sand, blinding their eyes. No real trees; no pines that would bring a homely smell; just a fruitless branches of a dry wood used to make fire. It was a different world where you were punished for seeking freedom, where you were scolded for forgetting to bow to a girl younger than you. “There you are princess,” a voice cut in. Tall, and well built man in his forties  appeared beside Mana with a bow. “It’s time for your archery lessons.” “Oh, right I forgot!” she took the bow in her hands and hugged it close as to not let it fall down. What a peculiar way of holding a bow, you cocked your head. “Are you coming, Nousha?” “Yes, princess!” You took it as a sign to get back work. The sweat already was dropping from your forehead, and you truly had enough if this sun for today. You wished you could hide within palace magazines, where you’d be able to cool off. Too hot. Way too hot. “_____ would you like to come with us? ” the princess called. “I want to hear more about Daksina Lands!” You blinked. Was she serious? From the look from her eyes it seemed so. “Uh, no,” you said. After a little thought you added, “your …um, Highness.” Mana pursed her lips. The archery teacher looked at you with a smile, but his voice was sharp. “It would be a great offence if you decline Her Highness’ invitation.” This sharp voice reminded you of the beating you got when last time you went against rules of this foreign world. As if on que, a shudder went through your spine. You nodded your head and lifted the basket. “Yay!” The princess chatted with you all way to the training grounds. At some point, the basket was taken from you, and now you just walked, your arms crossed. You were glad, that you were to stand under some kind of roof over your head, as the heat was getting unbearable. Though anyone else didn’t have as much problem as you. The Princess shot her first arrow to the target made of straw, and as you predicted, she missed. Her position was not entirely wrong, but still not good to be precise. To your surprise people around clapped their hands, and said their congratulations. When you missed your target, your father would correct you and make you shoot as many arrows till you did things right. Mana pouted, and the next three arrows went even further from the center. Nonetheless, people cheered. You looked towards her teacher, just to see his unnerving smile. You looked away before he could catch your stare. After this little presentation, the grounds started to clear, and you were close to sneak away if not for the teacher clamping his hand on your shoulder. With your lips tightly closed you sat down by Nousha on the pillows. Mana’s lesson continued, and you had nothing else to do, than to play with your talisman. It was around six days since you were beaten. Perhaps less, perhaps more. It was hard to keep the count, when the days were almost the same. Usually you liked routine, your routine – at your home, in your village. Here, you slowly were falling into domestication, and it somehow made you restless. It was not your home, you shouldn’t get used to it. No. But somehow, you were. Slowly you found out, you could recognize most of the faces around, even without giving them the name. Foreing land was slowly becoming familiar in its foreigness. Small shudder creeped on your back, as you took a deep breath. Six days, since you came back from the cells. Your hand clasped around the bracelet that was chained to your wirst. You rubbed the feathers on your talisman. Once from a raven, one from an owl. And what did it bring you? Nothing. Were gods above angry at you? Were they punishing you for helping a dragon? A being despised within the people? You didn’t know, not even from where such thoughts came from. And what was Ryo doing? Minus the evenings you didn’t see him at all, and even then you didn’t talk. Was he your friend? At some point you considered him as such. A companion, only familiar soul within mass of strangers. But he was a stranger too. Afterall, what you knew about him? Again, nothing. You were alone. And for the first time in your life, you felt lonely. “Ugh, why can’t I shoot just right?” the princess sat down, with a huff. “Because your footwork is wrong,” you said. Only a second later, when you felt stares on you, you realized you said that out loud. You gulped. “Really!?” Mana jumped. “Teacher, why didn’t you tell me?!” The teacher looked perplexed for a second, and then smiled once again. “Huuh? What a servant girl could know about archery?” Nousha piped in and send you a glare. You tried to make yourself smaller. Suddenly she smirked and gave you her bow. “Go, show us your amazing footwork then.” You remembered your first hunt, and a doe that looked at you, knowing it’s fate. You were sure you looked just the same. You looked at the princess, wishing she would just say no. But she smiled to you and nodded. “Yes, please show me how to shoot correctly,” she smiled. “I heard people of Daksina Lands are good with a bow, right master?” “Well, that’s correct, Princess,” he shot you a smile. Out of the three smiles you were offered, his was definitely malicious, unlike Mana’s naïve one. “Please, show us.” You felt their eyes on you, as you moved with stiff movements towards the targets. You picked up an arrow and took a deep breath to calm yourself down. You imagined your father beside you, with his gentle smile, telling you to relax your muscles. You imagined frost biting your fingers as you stretched the string. You imagined the calm forest around you, as you let the arrow go. And instead of the straw target, you saw a rabbit. And that was it, just in the center. “Whoa!” the Princess shouted, and your concentration crumbled to dust, as you once again stood with your head down. She run up to you, “That was amazing, ______!” You didn’t dare to look up at the teacher or Nousha’s face. You didn’t want to see them. “That’s… surprising,” the teacher said carefully. You glanced at his astonished face. Princess stood beside you, trying to recreate the pose you did, with concentration on her face. You gulped. “A little bit to the left,” you mumbled. “Like this?” You nodded. She stretched the string. Princess, that’s not necessary for you to learn from a savage,” the teacher said. “Shhh!” You  helped her with positioning her arms, straightened her back and when the next arrow was let go, it hit much more closer to the center, than any of her arrows. She looked at it overwhelmed, and then laughed in glee. It was a good shoot, you decided. You felt glares on your back. You didn’t understand; when she was missing the target they celebrated, when she did good, they were unhappy. What a weird people. And that’s how you were asked to help the Princess with archery. You, a servant girl. You sat down with princess and her friend, that kept shooting you glares. Mana kept talking, and at some point you started to ignore her. It was easy, she wouldn’t even wait for a reply, but kept going on. “…and you know, I went to feed the dragon the other day, and she almost bit of my hand!” “No way!” Nousha gasped. You perked up. “A dragon?” you asked, bringing attention to yourself. “Yes,” Mana smiled. “We have three in the crypts, didn’t you know?” You shook your head. It sounded like they owned them, like pets. Unbelivable. “Would you like to see them?” Mana stood up, ready to go. “It’s soon their dinner time, so we can go, right master?” The man nodded his head. Striked with sudden interest you followed the princess. She led you through the corridors, still talking. “How come, you caught the dragons?” you asked. “Hm,” she hummed, “they were here before I was born. Teacher, do you know?” The man coughed and straightened. “One hundered years ago, it was belived that the dragons were thinking creatures,” he started. “Many could even take a human form. They possessed magic, and were the most prideful of all magic creatures.” You nodded in interest. You didn’t know much about dragons anyway. “But at some point they lost this knowledge and became the beasts, at least within our Kingdom. Now they are just animals, wild and savage. In Westenra, I’ve heard there are still living and thinking dragons. But that’s probably just a prattle.” He nodded to himself. “What would you do if there were thinking dragons?” you asked, your tone flat. He looked over you, in his monologue he seemed to forget that he was supposed to despise you because you were just a servant. “That would be amazing experiment!” he exclaimed. “To think they would exist. Surely, I wouldn’t let them go out of my sight!” he suddenly sighed, “but to find a blue blooded one, the real, free thinking dragon… That’s a pipe dream.” You felt your throat drying, and you didn’t want to ask any more questions. You stepped down the stone stairs, while the teacher rised a torch. Your shadows danced on the walls, and instead of a dread of going down, you somehow felt calmness sweeping over you. The teacher lighted torches at the very bottom of the crypts, and your gaze met shining eyes of the beasts. Gold, red, green. Three pairs of orbs turned to your group, and you heard sound of the rattling chains. In the light of the fire, the steel shone with a malicious gleam, the echo made the sound five times more overwhelming. You didn’t dare to take any more steps. While you stood frozen, a few other servants that went with you took out fresh meat. The dragon’s gazes turned to it, and growls echoed in the crypts. Their eyes, you seen them before. Glowing, seething with rage. Just like Ryo’s when he was weak and wounded. Eyes of the beasts. You walked a few steps towards the bars. You almost touched the steel, when the golden-eyed dragon jumped at you. He was stopped by the chains, but his ager filled howl echoed in the crypts. You saw how they jumped to the meat, and with a few loud growls, it was gone. You turned around. It was scary, how they turned into a wild animals, just like the teacher said. Their freedom was taken away from them, and now all they could do was to growl and glare behind steel bars. It was… sad. You ignored the rest of feeding session, wishing you could just get away from here. A half an hour later it came to an end, and your hurling stomach calmed down. You were free, you were out of the crypts, and when again on the surface you took a breath of relief. At some point you were released to your duties, and this time the scolding from Jaharis went deaf in your ears, as you couldn’t shut out the images you witnessed. And the teacher’s words still echoed in your mind. In the evening, you took all of your belongings and without a word you laid down beside Ryo. Even in his sleep, he had a frown on his face. You were quiet, but somehow he woke up and focused his eyes on you. You stared back at him, reminded of his almost white eyes when you saw him for the first time. “Ryo,” you whispered, so quietly, you weren’t sure he heard you. “You’re in danger.” “What happened?” he asked, turning his body to face you. “I saw dragons,” you replied, clutching hard at the dirty blanket. “You can’t let them catch you.” The silence stretched for far too long. Ryo shook off his covers and sat up. No, you thought, don’t ask me this. “Show me,” he said. “I can’t. I don’t have the key to the crypts.” He frowned at you. You weren’t this brave to look for the key, you didn’t even know where to look for it. *** You woke up next morning. You didn’t even know when you fell asleep. You guessed it was somewhere around the time Ryo went quiet about the key. You took a deep breath, your head hurt as you tried to open your eyes. You felt cold. It was early,; the sun was just peaking into the room, and in hour or so everyone would be waking up. You looked to your left, just to find Ryo’s bedding empty. You sat up, regretting it immiedately, as your stomach made a flip. You looked around the room, just to find snoring women and men, but no blue-haired dragon in sight. Goddamn him, you cursed as you stood up, leaning a bit onto the wall. He went to the crypts. Goddamn you, telling him about it all. How could you know he would just go and search for the crypts? But still. You wiped off the sweat of your forehead, and set off in the direction of the crypts. Your head was splitting, and you knew you weren’t walking straight. Just like a drunkard. You saw him before the bolt to the crypts. “Ryo!” you half-hissed, half-shouted. He glanced at you. “What are you doing here?” “Right back at you. Are you crazy?” he stumbled towards him. “Last time we tried to do something against the rules, we got beaten. You want that again?” He glared again, his eyes, a little bit brighter. But maybe it was just your imagination. You took a deep breath, rubbing your arms. It was cold. Weird. “So you are set on staying here?” he hissed at you. “Of course not!” you replied a little louder than you intended. You trembled without control. “But what can I do?” He frowned even more and clenched his hands on the bolt. You put your hands on his and glared back at him. “I won’t stay here and do nothing,” he said and pushed back your hands. “It will only get you killed!” you raised your voice. “If they know what you are, they won’t let you go.” “That doesn’t concern you. You should go back to sleep,” he hissed. You stumbled back. The headache was unbearable, your body shook as the cold sweat dropped from your forehead. Your eyes were slowly loosing focus, dizziness made the corridor spin. “_____?” a new voice cut in. Through the mist within your eyes you saw brown haired girl waling up to you. “Who are you?” You cradled yourself in your arms, trying to stop trembling. You recognized that person, it was the princess. You felt the reality fading away as you were slowly falling down, and just before everything faded to black, you saw white eyes. “Please…” you mumbled. *** You were drowning. The eight years old you saw the fading light as the oxygen was running out. The bubbles were surrounding you, as you tried to scream for help. You kicked and tried to swim, but you couldn’t. Your vision was clouding, when  you felt something under you, pushing you upwards. You were thrown on the ice, coughing and shivering. You looked back, and saw blue eyes of a beast you never seen before. It was staring at you intently, blue scales glowing in morning sun. “Guh…” you coughed. ‘’Thank you.” The creature blinked. It’s muzzle came closer to you, and you could feel it’s icy breath on your red cheeks. And then it happened. As if something within you stretched, and then broke, shattered in billion pieces, leaving you breathless. It did it. It took away something. Something you couldn’t name. Something important, which after a minute you forgot that existed. And it all faded to black. *** You felt a sour taste in your mouth. Famialiar. You couldn’t quite put a finger where, or when, you tasted it, but you knew you did. “Swallow it,” a voice ordered you.  It was soft, and smooth and after a second or so you obliged. After a gulp more of your senses slowly woke up. You felt something dropping on your swollen lips, to your mouth, a few drops trickling down your jaw and throat. “Once again, _____.” You gulped down again. You felt a hand on your forehead. And then you felt just how much you were feverish, when cold hand made a contact with your cheek. It was a chill that you welcomed. You coughed, but then again swallowed the sour liquid. Was it your mother taking care of you? Your father? No, you thought with tears prickling at the corners of your eyes. They couldn’t be here. They were gone. You opened your eyes. It hurt, but you did nonetheless. You met the gaze you knew. This time blue. Midnight blue. Not white. No longer a beast. “You have a fever,” he said quietly and you had to focus to understand. “You should rest.” You tried say something, but in the end you settled on simple nod. You watched as he drew his hand back and covered his wrist with a bandage. Ah, now you understood. Where were you? The mattress were too soft to be your own bedding. It smelled a little bit too nice to be servants room. But you couldn’t finish your thoughts as you fell asleep again, this time a little bit more calm and relaxed.

What is your ninjago flight au?
Good question! The Ninjago Flight!AU, or more simply the Flight!AU is an AU that takes place in alternate Ninjago timeline, it makes all elemental masters (not just the ninja) into bird hybrids and like the X-Men are feared from the people and citizens of Ninjago. Kai is a scarlet macaw, Cole is red-tailed hawk, Jay is a blue jay, Zane is NOT a nindriod in this AU but a snowy owl that lost his right wing and arm and so those are eventually replaced with mechanical versions of each other, Lloyd is royal peacock, and Nya I think is aqua macaw. There’s no current story since it follows the series though there is plently of lore I hope that clears it up a little for ya; it you have any other questions just ask then

“You had a steampunk god form for a while?” Kai asked. “What did that look like?”
Lloyd looked over at Ikea and he transformed again, this time into a snowy owl. He flew over to her and looked her over. “Zane, are you sure she’s supposed to be a full blown gargoyle?”
Zane scanned her again and his optics widened. “I....I was wrong. Ikea, I greatly apologize, that is your full EB form.”
The nindroid looked like he was about to cry. “H-How could I be wrong? My sensors are never wrong.”
Summertime Fun
@ninja-of-energy
Summer had finally returned to Gravity Falls, and it brought a great joy. Mabel & Phil’s three triplets were born. All of Gravity Falls was in great celebration.
And of course, the ninja had to be invited to meet them. Dipper also extended an invite to spend the summer as well.

Within the Gray Mist [1.]
Paring: Marufuji Ryo/Zane Truesdale x Reader
Summary:  [Dragon!AU] You were a village nobody, one of a many faces in the crowd. You’ve always thought your life will be simple and normal. But when you met a wounded dragon on one snowy day, everything you knew was challenged.
wordcount: 3520
pervious: [prologue.]
If there was anything you could say you liked about life, it’d be the routine.
Waking up everyday and doing what you were supposed to do. You liked your life that went without much haste, yet not dragging or being boring. You liked to be a part of a community you knew, where everybody had their place. There were people within your tribe that wished to be more, those special ones that could become shamans, healers, chivalrous worriors or beutiful dancers. You were none of them, you were neither exeptional or failure. Yet you were content with being just average. Average face within the mass, with average family and average skills, You never thought that you were less that anyone, you simply belived that if your fate was designed to be average, then you were fine with it.
But today was not like any other days, and that made you slightly nervous for a few reasons. Today was the Growing up Ceremony for the women of your tribe. For the last 18 years of your life you only watched the ritual of admitance to adultness and today came the day of your own. Your parents were overjoyed, your younger brother made fun of you and recommended you nice guys for a husband.
Growing up. You never thought the day of your ceremony would come. You had felt strange sense of enjoyment and nervousness as the tribe chief had handed you and the other girls a bow and a quiver with arrows. With a last blessing from the Shaman, you had split and had began your Ritual Hunt. For the ceremony to be compleated you had to bring a sacrifice to the shaman, a bird that you had to hunt on your own. You had time till the sunset.
You touched the talisman your mother gave with your slightly frozen fingers. A talisman put around your neck this morning fit perfectly in your hand. You looked at the circle symbolising a good luck charm and rubbed it. Bird's feathers attached to it fluttered on the icy wind, one from the owl for wisdom, one from a raven for creation.
You weren’t a superstitious person. Of course you belived and worshipped the gods, but you mostly thought that a human is responsible for his own path in life, and shouldn’t hide behing concepts such as fate or destiny. But today you guessed a little bit of a good luck won’t hurt anybody.
White mist flew every time you breathed out. The forest was uncharastically quiet, as if awaiting for what was to come. No matter how hard you tried to be as silent as possible, your steps disrupted calmness of the forest. Sudden blast of the wind chilled you to the bone, and with trembling fingers you adjusted your hood tighter. The silence broke with the snow falling from the branches.
It was trully a cold day.
The more you ventured into the forest, the weather worsened. At some point you realized that the snow started to fall. Everyone will have a hard time with the hunt this year, you thought.
A sound of somebody's steps creaking on the snow broke you from your thoughts. Quietly you looked towards the bottom of the canyon, just to see one of the girls lying on the snow. She quickly got up and dusted off herself. She saw you up above and gave you a wave. She showed you the bird she hunted and gave you a thumbs up. You waved back, smiled and turned around. The Silence of the Hunt was not broken.
You walked further, deciding you were right about to were to look for the bird. If there was anything you were slightly above average was archery. Still not enough to become a member of the Hunting Party of the tribe, but the hunt and its rules were not foreign to you. You understood the nature's paths and how it behaved. As the child of the lumberer you were familiar with the forest and its secrets.
You ventured on the small clearing on an ice cliff.
The sun was nowhere to be seen as the snow floated through the air. Yet you guessed it a little bit after the noon, making your hunt already three hours long. It wasn’t like you were rushing anywhere, there was plenty of time till the sunset. You didn't care whether you were first or last.
Further into the distance you could see a vague shape of a mountain. When the weather was nice, whole mountain shone on the horizon. You’d be able to see the sharp edges of the ice, in a shape of a sickle. Looking at the mountain, a shiver run through your skin. Since you could remember the Cold Mountain gave off a menancing aura. Everyone seemed to agree with you, as they worshipped it, and often begged for forgivness. The Shaman once told you that the eternal winter, that continues for the last hundred years within Daksina Lands was caused by the anger of the god from the Cold Mountain.
You looked away from the mountain and waited. A hour or so later, sudden movement caught your eye. A red and blue bird landed on a branch just above you, with a screech that resounded on the clearing. You smiled to yourself and slowly you took out an arrow. The bird looked at you curiously and held your gaze. It moved its head to the right and left and sat comfortably on a branch. Calmly you aimed at the bird. When the arrow swished through the air, the bird seemed to finally understand the situation as it took its last chance to escape. But the next second it fell on the snow leaving a red drops of blood on the white fluff.
You picked the bird up and fastened it to your belt with a piece of a string. You looked last time at the Cold Mountain and turned back. It was time to go back to the village. You wondered how many of you had finished the Hunt. It was still a lot of hours till the sunset, yet you knew almost everyone wished to finish the hunt much earlier.
You chose a different path that you used to get there. It was rather unused and not many people knew about it. Thanks to your father you were able to successfully find it. You liked this path, the trees were arranged in a portal with branches tangling above your head. You reached out your hand and with a small smile you touched each tree as you walked.
The path ended on a hummock covered with bushes. You breathed in the fresh air and looked towards the path leading to your village. Within two hours you'd be back there. But then you saw scattered snow and a few knacked bushes.
''Hmm...” you mused aloud. Maybe it was a bear or a deer. Blinking once again, to your surprise, you noticed a bluish liquid here and there. You crouched and dabbed at the drop. On an impulse you tasted it and immedately felt a burning sensation on your tounge. You coughed a few times to clear your throat form the pungent flavour. It didn't taste like anything you knew.
You looked at the path treaded by the strange creature. You wanted to turn back and walk towards your village. You finished your hunt, and had to make it back to the Shaman. The strange liquid didn't perk your curiosity. Quite the opposite – you felt dump in your stomach and sense of dread overwhelmed your body.
What if one of the girls were attacked by this strange being? Or it was trully just a bear that got better of a huntress. You wished you were as wise as your mother wanted you to when she gave you the talisman. But you couldn't leave another person in the cold. Not when you knew something bad happened.
If not you, nobody would follow the trail. It was the Silence of the Hunt. You had time till the sunset to come back, if you didn't, you were on your own in the forest. Nobody could enter till the next morning, nobody would look for you. You remembered the incident from two years ago, when your cousin hadn't come back. Next morning her parents found her nearly frozen to death, tangled in the trap for bears. She tried and finished the ceremony next year, but her leg never got fully healed.
That's why you couldn't just turn back and leave a person, perhaps one you knew, over there.
You rubbed the talisman once again, wishing for more of a good luck you ever needed, and followed the blue drops on the snow. Half an hour later the trail stopped. You looked up and your breath hatched in your throat. You tightened your grip on the bow as you measured up the creature before you.
It's snow white scales glistered with a blue liquid you found earlier. It laid in the snow, breathing out an icy air, that caused the bushes cover with a thick layer of ice. The blue blood, you guessed it must've been blood, pooled before its belly, where the flesh was torned with a spear sticking out of it. It must've hurt as hell. Its wings, now folded behind its back, were at least four meters long when stretched out. Its paws, twice as big as regular bear, digged into the ground. Its tails swooped the snow with a nervous move, making you take a step back.
You paled when you looked at the wounded creature, and stood still, uncertain of what to do. One thought rattled in your mind, naming the enormous being. The thought you wanted to dissmiss.
The nostrils breathed in, catching your scent on the wind, and within a second, its head turned to you. You met its gaze and shivered as blue, almost white, eyes narrowed.
A dragon, you had no longer denied the thought, growled at you. You slowly lowered yourself on your knees, just like your father taught you, and still continued to look into its eyes. The dragon tried to get up, but with a slightest move it moaned in pain.
Almost crawling, you brought out the bird and still bent on your knees you moved towards the dragon. You extended your hands with the bird and waited for the dragon move. You'll either live or die, there was no inbetween.
The dragon was just as wary of you, as you were of him. It smelled the prey and within one snap of his white teeth the bird was gone. The creature blinked at you and waited. You noticed it's eyes were slightly more blue, than before. You didn't know if it was a good sign or not, but it didn't growl at you anymore. You relaxed, as much as you could in given situation, and sighed clearing your mind.
People were right to fear dragons, even if they left the moutains. They were powerful, large and practically immortal. There was no use of denying the fact that they were frightening and could wipe out your small tribe with a single blow. No wonder humans hated and both feared them.
So what were you doing, giving one of them your offering to the gods, and still worrying about it's wound?
''Okay, Mr. Dragon,” you said quietly. The creature once again focused its eyes on you. ''I'm going to go for a while and I'll be back soon.”
It looked at you without moving an inch, and watched as you adjusted your quiver on your back. Twelve arrows, you counted. You had a vague idea of what to do with its wound, but first things first. Hungry animal, is bad animal, as you father would say jokingly. You weren't sure if you should consider a dragon an animal though.
Telling the dragon to not to move might be too much and you already pushed your luck, so you kept your mouth shut. When you were far enough to not alarm it you sped up and ran. You didn't waste your arrows on small birds, instead caught a few rabbits. In the distance you saw a roe, that searched for food in the snow. Bowstring stretched and two arrows swished through the air. The roe, unaware of anything, fell down.
A screech resounded in the air, a familiar screech. A ceremonial bird sat on the branch. You couldn't belive your luck as you shot yet another bird. Maybe you could finish your Ritual Hunting in the end.
You took your booty and walked back to the dragon. When you were at the place, you were sweating. You had to walk back twice, once for the roe and once for the rabbits. The dragon laid in the snow, stood up with a goarn and took a few steps towards you before collapsing agian.
''Ah, don't move,'' you breathed out. You fed it with the rabbits and the roe. It ate it within a span of few minutes, not leaving a single bone. You smiled nervously as you watched it licking its muzzle from the fresh blood. The dragon looked at the bird you had at your belt. You shook your head. ''I still need that.”
It blinked twice, measuring you and snapped it's teeth.
''I'm going to pull out that spear out.”
The dragon huffed at you and narrowed its eyes. Icy breath met your cheeks leaving a layer of frost on them. You smiled to him sympatheticly.
''I can't exactly take you to see the healer, can I?” you asked it. You had a hunch the dragon actually understood what you were speaking of, as it nodded a few long munites later.
You took a deep breath and walked towards the spear. You didn't know much about magical healing and you couldn't even do that, but you had some experience with wounds. You doubted that it would be enough to help enormous dragon with a hole in its belly, but today you were pushing your luck to the limits.
You took of your glowes and tightened your grip on the cold metal. The dragon kicked and roared. You messaged your arm where one of its fangs scratched your skin. You hissed when you felt blood on your fingers.
''Sorry!” you squeked, but still grasped the spear. You didn't know what happened to the dragon, but one thing was for sure, he wasn't hurt because of anyone from your tribe. That made you a little bit happier, simply because nobody of your kin did it. You knew it because nobody used a metal spears within the tribe.
You decided to do it quickly, as your mother used to when treating your injuries. You pulled the spear as fast as you could and threw it on the snow. The dragon swished its tail dangerously close to your head and howled in pain.
''It's done,” you spoke. Shining white eyes glared at you and the dragon once again laid down. Both of you were breathing heavily. You looked up and saw the darkening sky, and now you were sure you won't be able to come back to the village back before the sunset, even if you had had your offering.
You looked at the dragon and noticed it had its eyes closed. You wondered how to treat its would, you couldn't just sew it up. You doubted you could find an needle this large, or thread stong enough. You weren't sure about an infection, you didn't have much of an medical education in your life. All you could hope for, was that the would would heal itself.
The forest began to darken, and the temperature lowered. You couldn't stay here, maybe your parents won't look for you in the night, but surely they will in the morning. With the whole Hunting Party that would not overlook a trail. And you were sure as heck that they'd gladly help the dragon to go to the other side. You had to go back to the village.
''I'll be back in the morning,'' you said to the white dragon, but you didn't know if it heard you. One thing you weren't worried about, was that it wouldn't freeze to death in the night. Ice dragons weren't afraid of snow.
You took off and ran as fast as you could. Forest by day was your friend, you didn't want to know if it could became your enemy by the night. The sun was long gone when you finally reached the village. Your parents, and your brother waited by the gates with the Shaman ans the Chief.
You looked at frightened faces of your parents, that washed over with relief when they hugged you close.
''Were have you been?” your mother asked, wiping off tears from her eyes.
''I'm sorry,” that was all you could say. You looked over the Shaman and the Chief. They shook their heads.
''The ceremony is over,” the Shaman said curtly. He was quite a tall men, with wise eyes that could pierce one's soul. You looked at your feet, you felt a little bit dissapointed, that in the end you weren't able to do it.
The Chief sighed and told you to go home, he patted your shoulder and said that you will try next year. He went back to his home leaving you with the Shaman.
''It could be worse,” your brother, Melys, said.
''Like what?” you asked, ignoring piercing gaze of the Shaman.
''You could got eaten by the bear,” he offered with a grin. His eyes, in the same colour as yours, sparkled, reflecting the fire that burned on the torch. He was twelve years old, yet was a mischivious as a young fox.
''You little...!” you ruffled his head. You couldn't help but think at how close to the truth he was.
''_____, where have you been?” the Shaman interrupted. He was standing with crossed arms.
''Give her a rest, Doeth,” your mother scolded. There was one little detail about the Shaman you usually overlooked, he was your mother's brother, making him your uncle. In your mother's family magic was in their veins. Even Melys had it, and you wouldn't be surprised if he was chosen as another Shaman in the future. Your uncle loved Melys, and was his mentor. You were sure he loved you too, but perhaps he was a little dissapointed that the firstborn of a family with a long history of magic users had no talent to it.
''_____?” he asked again, with more pressure in his voice.
''I couln't find the bird,” you lied. He narrowed his eyes at you. It was a lame excuse, but it was better that the other one you prepared when you run back. Telling him, that the daughter of a lumberer got lost in the forest would be a little bit too much.
He didn't really belive you, but he nodded his head under your mothers glare. He reached his hand and waited for you to give him the bird. You did as he wished. Your hands made a contact and the Shaman froze. His eyes turned white as he started to chant in a language you didn't understand.
He had a vision.
Nobody moved, nobody dared to even breath as the Shaman had his vision. As a child you witnessed a few of his visions, and everytime it countinued to frighten you. Even now you were unnerved and flinched when he finnaly came back to his senses.
''What did you see?” your father asked quietly, letting the Shaman lean on him. Always after the vision he was exhausted. He looked straight at you, and you felt like a roe caught in a trap.
''I saw a white dragon...'' he said slowly, each word spoken carefully. You froze on the spot. ''...on a field of hydrageneas... in chains.”
He didn't mean the white dragon you've met, did he? That one wasn't in chains, and you didn't see any hydrageneas anywhere. You weren't sure they bloomed in the Daksina Lands anyway. No. You calmed yourself down, it could be any other dragon.
''Let's go, Doeth,” your mother said a minutes later. ''You'll wonder about the vison later. It's night already!”

[Image description: a traditional sketch page of the ninja from Ninjago as humans with bird wings. Lloyd is drawn three times once as a child and twice the same age as the other ninja. His wings are fluffy on top, but leathery and batlike on the lower edge. When Lloyd is older, he also has a scaly tail with a fur tuft at the end that helps his wings extend further down. There’s a third sketch of Lloyd in flight from behind. Zane is drawn as a snowy owl with his wings folded in and bent forward slightly. Jay is shown from behind with is wings spread as a hummingbird. He and Zane have visible bird tails. Jay is labeled “pretty boy” with a smiley face. Cole is sitting down with his wings raised, and he’s looking to the side with a confused expression and two question marks over is head. Kai is standing with his wings spread and his fists on his waist and a pleased smile. /End description]
