Musical streams are back! We’ve taken 5 weeks off, but now we’re back! Last time we streamed for 39 weeks in on Kosmi, this time I’m streaming them directly in my europeanmusicals Discord server. This change in streaming platform is because Kosmi didn’t accept a lot of video types and so I couldn’t stream certain musicals, but I will be able to stream those musicals through Discord.
Streams take place on Saturdays at 9pm UK time (BST/GMT depending on daylight savings). Some may be postponed by a week if I’m away. Not all have English subtitles so check below. More musicals may be added. Any updates will be posted on Discord. We are watching musicals that we did not watch in the first 30 weeks. If there’s a musical missing you want to see, let me know, we may have already watched it but we’re okay with re-watching musicals. You can take a look at the last shedule to see if there’s anything you like and want to be able to see.

Pokemon Fankid Week Day 5: Relationships/Romance
I’m a day late with no drawing again because Valentines day is hectic when you have a romantic partner and your mother was born on Valentines day!
Characters: Fiore Rosales (Contestshipping child) and Ione Primarie (Wishfulshipping daughter)
Summary: Ione pays an unexpected visit to her old friend Fiore in Lumiose City. There is a bit of tension in the air. Read under the cut!
Fiore was alone at the Yvonne household that warm spring afternoon. They were just relaxing in the penthouse kitchen, keeping an eye on the pokepuffs they were currently baking. Linonne was asleep at their feet, it was just a normal and relaxing day in Lumiose City. Or at least it was until the blissful silence was broken by a knock at the door. Linonne was now on high alert, she rushed straight to the front door, she could only run in a straight line after all. Lionne glared at the door while a slightly annoyed Fiore followed behind to see who was here. They looked out the peephole, it was hard to see but Fiore could tell the person standing there was one of their old traveling companions. When they opened the door just as they expected Ione was standing there, she was wearing loose-fitting clothing and had a suitcase behind her. Fiore was immediately a bit confused as Ione let herself in. “Fiore! Long time no see!” Ione said cheerfully as she sat herself down in the living room. Linonne was frantically pacing in front of Fiore, she was keeping her guard up against the unexpected visitor.
“It has been a while… you didn’t tell me you were coming to Kalos,” Fiore said as they moved to sit in a recliner across from Ione.
“I didn’t expect it either, this was my first stop on a connecting flight that got pushed back a few hours. I thought I’d stop for a chit chat! You are close to the Lumiose Airport after all,” Ione said, she sounded like she didn’t have a care in the world.
“Where are you headed?” Fiore asked.
Ione’s expression faltered for a moment, she had hoped Fiore wouldn’t notice this but they did. They knit their brows and shot Ione a concerned look.
“I’m going to Onishima,” Ione admitted after a brief awkward pause.
“Are you going back to that place? To wait for Ja-”
“No. I’m actually going to compete in the league.” Ione bitterly cut her off.
The room fell silent. It wasn’t a tranquil silence however, the air was heavy between the two childhood friends and ex-travel companions.
“I know it was stupid of me… to go back to the place Jamie promised to meet me almost 5 years ago. After last year I originally decided I never even wanted to return to Onishima again… but Lyn told me in a call awhile ago that Jamie was going to actually compete in the league this year.”
“Really!?” Fiore almost choked on their surprise. “Doing the league challenge was never a goal of Jamie’s…”
“You’re right… I don’t know why he has chosen to compete this year but I decided this will be my best chance at closure. I need to bring an end to this one-sided rivalry once and for all by beating him.”
“But what if you lose?” Fiore asked. That question seemed innocent enough but once the words escaped their mouth Fiore realized how loaded that question was. A longer and heavier silence fell over the pair.
“Even if I lose… I need to face him in battle,” Ione let it out as a murmur, but Fiore made sure they didn’t miss her words. Another silence befell the pair.
A few minutes into this silence a timer went on in the kitchen. Fiore shot up and quickly headed towards the oven to take out their pokepuffs.
“I shouldn’t have dropped by so suddenly like this, you seem busy. I’ll get outta your hair now,” Ione stood up as she spoke and grabbed her suitcase. Fiore, after taking out the puffs and turning off the oven, ran over to the girl and put their arms out to stop her from leaving.
“Wait please don’t leave yet! I’m sorry I made things so awkward!” Ione apologized as they let their head drop down in shame. “You have no idea how happy I am to see you in person again, I want to speak with you some more if you don’t have to be back to the airport for a few hours…”
Fiore wiped their eyes before looking back up at Ione. “I’ve improved my baking skills thanks to Ms. Serena. Please at least stay for tea and some homemade pokepuffs.”
Ione who had seemed a little shaken before soon put a new smile on her face as she accepted Fiore’s offer. She practically threw herself back onto the couch as Fiore brought them Pokepuffs and milk tea.
Now that the uncomfortable conversation was the pair began to talk more naturally. They talked about all sorts of different things with delight in their tone. If you didn’t know these two and saw them conversing like this in a cafe you might not know they hadn’t seen each other in person in almost a year. In that moment it was almost if nothing had changed between the two. They were both two best friends on a journey like old times in Fiore’s mind.
Soon Ione’s phone alarm went off so she stood up with her suitcase in hand. She was ready to leave for real this time.
“Thank you for the food and company, but I must be going now,” Ione said.
“Oh but before I go, can I have a good luck kiss for the league?” Ione asked with a laugh. While this statement might seem weird to an outsider this was sort of an inside joke between the pair. Ione jokingly used to ask Fiore for good luck kisses before battles but instead, Fiore would place a kiss on the Pokemon that was about to head into battle instead.
Ione expected Fiore to just jokingly scoff and roll their eyes but to both of their surprises Fiore found themselves walking straight up to Ione and leaving a soft peck on her lips.
Ione and Fiore both turned red, Fiore looked more like a cheri berry than a person. Ione just plastered a big, cheesy grin on her face before stumbling her goodbyes and leaving.
When Ione was finally gone Fiore put their fingers to their lips, after a few moments of thinking everything through Fiore smiled.
Fiore gave Ione all their luck. She better win.

Urban Art Explosion
By Yvonne Boose
Poetry Girl Media
September 2nd, 2019
Aurora, Ill.  – Weather conditions were cloudy, on the 1st day of September, but an explosion of sunshine happened, during the 6th annual On the Wall: Urban Arts Festival.
Tumblr media
The Urban Arts Festival took place at Water Street Square, 65 S. Water St. and was hosted by Culture Stock and TBA (Them Bad Apples). This festival showcased numerous forms of art, which related to the hip hop culture.
Nicole Mullins, founder of Culture Stock, expressed how Culture Stock’s mission is to provide free events, for the community. She wanted to highlight something for the hip-hop culture. “A lot of times, hip-hop has a bad rap. You know, it's associated with gangs, drugs and all of these negative things but at the heart of hip-hop culture, it is the opposite,” she said. Mullins explains that hip-hop is about unity and building community.
When most people think of hip-hop, they may think of music but hip-hop encompasses much more.  According to www.encyclopedia.com, hip-hop has four main components, rap music, break dancing, DJ-ing and graffiti art.
Not only did Culture Stock and TBA ensure that all of these components were covered, they threw in a few more sweet treats.
A car show featuring Aurora’s Street Addictionz Car Club, ladies from the 40+ Double Dutch Club and a hip-hop exercise company, Hip Hop Fit with Gene Hicks.
Abel Rosales, Sergeant of Arms of Street Additionz Car Club, 77 S. River St., explains why his club decided to showcase at this event. “Well you know, our cars are pretty artistic,” he said.
As Rosales showed off a ‘79 Cutlass Oldsmobile, ‘78 Impala, ’96 Toyota Camry and an ‘84 El Camino, he called over the president of the club, Rudy Yanez.
Tumblr media
Yanez didn’t have much more to add but he wanted to point out that their club thrives for positivity in the community. He smiled pointing to a sign, “Like we say right here, cruising away from crime. Yeah, that’s our thing,” he added.
Juan Olivas, a spectator, says he mainly came to see the car show. He saw the event on Facebook and decided to bring his three daughters. He’s excited about seeing these types of artists because he doesn’t think the community gets to see them often. “This show introduces us to something different that we haven’t seen around here.”
Shantel Coleman, a member of the 40+ Double Dutch Club, shows off her double Dutch skills as she jumps effortlessly between the two alternating ropes. Coleman says, “I live double Dutch.” She recently joined the club in June and excitedly mentioned what this group is all about. “It’s just a group of 40 or over women reliving our childhood memories, playing hand games, double Dutch… just to get away from adulting.” The double Dutch club was ready to teach anyone who wanted to learn how to jump double Dutch. Coleman also mentions that the club’s founder Pam Robinson and other members of the club were featured on Windy City Live.
Tumblr media
In addition to breakdancing, the festival also showcased another type of dance, hip hop dance.
Hip Hop Fit’s owner, Gene Hicks, demonstrated hip-hop fitness moves that are normally done at his gym, 10204 Werch Dr. #304 in Woodridge. Hicks says that it was fitting for him to come and represent because his fitness is all about hip-hop. “That’s what my business is all about promoting hip-hop through fitness,” he said.
Tumblr media
Brandy Gilliam, a member of the P.O.B.U.M.S. Society, a local hip-hop group that performed, gave his thoughts on the event.
Gilliam reinforced why it is so important to have events in Aurora that showcase diversity.
“It’s a good way to bring the community together. We have Blacks, Whites, Puerto Ricans, Mexicans so everything is good.” He also emphasized that the minority community has to be the ones who organize these types of events, instead of waiting for someone else to do it. This was Gilliam’s 5th year attending the event.
During its performance, the group P.O.B.U.M.S. Society took the crowd by surprise when they spewed out their poetic flows. P.O.B.U.M.S. stands for Positive Outlooks Balances Universal Madness Strategically. Society stands for Sisters of Conscious Intellect Educating the Youth.
Although this is the 6th annual event, Mullins, Culture Stock founder is still looking for ways to get the word out about the event. “We started promoting this year in barbershops per the suggestion of someone so hopefully, that helps.” She is looking for the event to become more diverse. She pointed out that TBA is a Hispanic group and P.O.B.U.M.S Society is an African American group but there could be more representation from other ethnic groups. “We have a little white girl organizing an event, “she said, referring to herself. Mullins is open to suggestions on how to get the word out.
For more information on the event and how to volunteer for upcoming events, visit www.culturestock.org.
Culture Stock is a nonprofit organization that was started in 2012. Its mission is to promote the community through the arts.
TBA is a Hispanic hip-hop group which was founded by Sam Cervantes a local artist who created “Angel Wings”, a mural on the east wall of LaFrance Bakery, 118 E. Galena Blvd.
