I have had two thoughts bouncing around in my head for a while involving Gilbert and my IkePri OC, Rosalia:

🔹One sweet of Gil cuddles with Rosalia, involving a tiny spoiler from an event story

🔹One spicy relating to the IkePri act 3/sequel routes, which isn't much of a spoiler, involving a special deal Rosalia makes with Gilbert to allow her to greet their visitors freely

I got encouraged by a server I'm a part of to share them and I noticed that it got way too long to copy and paste with the character limit, so I'm posting it here. Please be kind, I haven't written in a long time so I'm rusty and I'm shy and nervous enough as it is to share this. This is all self-indulgent.

Now onwards with the thoughts! I'm posting it under read more for spoilers and light smut in the second thought.

🔹The sweet thought:

So in one event, Gilbert introduces MC to a group of animals, two dogs named Clara and Adele and a cat named Elise. These essentially become their pets. With my OC, Rosalia in mind, I pictured one day Gilbert returns to his room and finds her napping on a couch, all tuckered out from the day, with the animals surrounding her. The dogs napping beside her on the ground as though protecting her, and the cat by her head. Gilbert does get a little jealous at first, but it is kind of a cute sight and since he sees her lying on her back, he gets a thought. Carefully as to not wake her, he sits beside her sleeping form and lays his upper body on her, legs dangling off the sofa, his head on her chest, listening to her heartbeat. Although she is asleep, her body knows he's there and wraps her arms around him, holding him close, and continues sleeping with a small smile on her face. Gilbert wasn't planning on napping, but now that he was in her grasp, he might as well. They have time and it was comfy, so for now they could forget work and duties and just be beside each other for a little while.

1. I have zero experience at smut

2. My OC, Rosalia's crest is a cheetah, I'm bringing this up when I use the reference later. She also uses a cane, which I will expand on on her character profile on a later date.

3. I don't know much about IkePri's act 3/the sequels, this set up is based on what I've seen and come across

Anyways:

In act 3/the sequels, the Rhodolitian king (whoever is chosen) and some of the princes go visit Obsidian. So far we've seen Chevalier, Leon, and Yves go and in my particular case, I imagine my OCs, Alina and Zaina also going along with them, half because they're Yves and Chev's respective partners and the other half being that they're Rosalia's adoptive family so they want to see her.

Rosalia of course is excited for their arrival and is borderline bouncing off the walls ready to welcome them and give them all hugs (well for Chev it would be a kind greeting). Gilbert isn't too keen on the idea of that since he doesn't want anyone touching her, but Rosalia comes up with an idea. It's a risque one, but hopefully it will work. She proposed Gilbert a deal: give her free reign to hug her sisters and friends and freely chat with them with no consequences towards them and she'll show him a different side of her in bed that night, one he's been meaning to see.

Rosalia is usually reserved in bed because it's still new territory to her, so she mostly goes with Gilbert's flow, but she's not clueless. She knows a thing or two from stories she's been told by others back in Rhodolite, to her medical research when it comes to anatomy and physiology, to the steamy romance books she's reads. Plus Gilbert has been trying to get her to cut loose and try taking control for once, so why not try it now?

Gilbert can't help but be curious as to what Rosalia will try and she must really want this if she's willing to come out of her comfort zone, so he makes the deal. She gets to greets everyone, give them the longest biggest hugs she's been wanting to give for so long, and catch up on what's happened since they last saw each other. It's a wonderful time and she feels rejuvenated. She hasn't forgotten her deal though. She is a little nervous but at the same time she's excited and now that night is approaching, she goes to her room to gather her things to prepare and heads to Gilbert's.

When Gilbert returns to his room a while later, he finds Rosalia sitting on his bed, hair loose from her usual braid, makeup done, and with a robe covering her. Although she is blushing, she extends a hand towards him, beckoning him closer. Pleased with her promise kept and interested in what she has planned, he approaches her and takes her hand. What he didn't expect was her pulling him hard enough to make him topple onto the bed. Before he could react, which is a first for him, she gets on top and straddles him. She's ready to fulfill her end of the deal, but in order to do that he must let her lead. Tonight she'll be the beast and he'll be her prey.

Gilbert is not used to someone else being in charge of him, but when it comes to Rosalia, the idea is interesting and honestly it wasn't the first time he's had those kind of thoughts pertaining to her. Once he gives her free reign for the night, she's shrugs off the robe to reveal a black lingerie set that he made her a while back, but was too shy to wear at the time. Now she wears it with pride, looking like a cheetah on the hunt for her prey. Pinning his arms to the bed, she begins. From passionate kisses to hard love bites like he leaves on her, Rosalia makes her way down Gilbert's body, removing articles of his clothing along the way.

Once she reaches where he wants her the most, she takes him in her hand and strokes him a bit before taking him in her mouth. His hands instinctively try to move and out his hand on her head, but her hand shoots out to stop him reminding him that she's in charge. She continues on, teasing him and before he can come, she stops and pulls off, but not before giving him a bite in his inner thigh like he's done to her.

Slowly and deliberately, Rosalia removes the lingerie piece by piece until she's bare before him, Gilbert feeling how aroused she when she takes him in her hand and rubbing the tip along her soaked folds for a bit before aligning it with her entrance and sinking down. Taking a moment to adjust, she slowly starts to move, small bounces until she starts picking up the pace and going harder, faster. Gilbert feels that he's getting close and tries to put his hands on her hips to move her like he wants, but she stops him and pins them down to the bed, reminding him that she's in control tonight and she'll decide whether he's allowed to touch her or not. She edges hims bit for that stunt, moving slower just to tease him, but after a while even she can't hold back and returns to her fast and hard pace until she makes them both reach their climax.

While catching his breath, Gilbert thinks this is a one round thing, but once he saw the look in her eyes he knows it's far from over. Rosalia made sure to make good on her end of the deal all night long. The next day, when they both go meet up with the Rhodolitian side, everything seems normal and business goes as planned. However some of them do notice that Rosalia and Gilbert are depending on their respective canes a little more than usual, their walks a little off than usual.

My thoughts on the message of fangirls

I think Yve Blake is such a talented writer for pulling this off because the show manages to balance comedy with really genuine moments and important points about society. I'm colour coding what I think are the key 3 messages and then I've highlighted how they all come together in the finale number. Yes I have been thinking about this show all week 😂

Spoilers under cut!

Firstly, it's not shameful to love a boyband but they are not the only ones who can love you.

Heartbreak nation sing "nobody loves you, loves you like me" and at first I heard it as just an echo of what the fans felt for the band, they love the band and the band loves them back. But by the end of the show (and maybe sooner I don't know if I just missed this) we realise it's a literal reflection of what the fans believe and maybe what heartbreak nation or at least society want them to believe. The seemingly innocent pop song that even the audience sing along to is a symbol of the narrative edna sings about in silly little girl. The narrative that when you're all alone the only thing that is there for you is the band, that nobody else could love you in the same way or maybe even at all,that you need that love. But the show shows that this isn't true, that the real love isn't between edna and Harry but between edna and her friends and her mum and between the fans for each other. The show says it isn't bad to love a band or music, in fact it's powerful, but it also reminds you not to let them contain all your hopes and dreams, or lead you to forget the people that love you closer to home.

Onto message 2, you are powerful and your feelings are powerful and they are meaningful.

This really starts to hit in justice but is there throughout. The fans organise vigils, the spreadsheet so there's always someone to talk to, the fans are intelligent and they want to help each other and Harry. "we want to make a difference to something greater than ourselves" is the line from justice and I think the show shows that they really succeed in that because they make a difference to the lives of other fans. This power is also shown through the negative events of the show like jules leaving Edna out of the concert and and Edna kidnapping Harry. These 2 instances show the negative impact one person can have but I feel this still contributes to the message by encouraging the audience to use their power to make different choices. Another important aspect of this is that despite the shows points about the way boy bands are marketed and the problems with this, the characters are not belittled or blamed for loving them. Brave thing to love really encapsulates a lot of this too.

In nobody reprise salty sings that the way the media treated the fans has made him realise he's not afraid to stand for what he believes in or to love. The fans are shown to be resilient, to have strong morals and overall they are the heroes of this show in a way fans so rarely are. I think that is what really carries this message through because the show tells a story that is so often skimmed over, ignored or dismissed as silly and unimportant and then it is this beautiful, funny, amazing story which I think leads people to question what they might've been dismissing in terms of their own feelings and power .

Message 3, the patriarchy is trying to make you forget the above 2 messages!

Again justice really hits this one. Some of the lyrics are so closely linked to the points yve covers on her Ted talk "because it isnt what the boys do?" and brianna's point about men crying at football specifically. The speech by ednas mother about the way boy bands are marketed to young girls who are insecure and then ednas own realisation of this in silly little girl also contribute to this aspect of the message. The way fangirls are portrayed in the media diminishes them and their power despite the fact they are acting in a way society has pushed them to do and the show is exposing this.

I think these 3 messages are the core of the show and they all come together in the finale number

"we were tryna win a competition, that we never asked to be in the world told us we were never enough so we got stuck in trusting we were just disgusting

But though this world is messy and cruel we'll build one that's better

And now I know thanks to you that it's a brave thing to love

And the bravest thing you can do, is to decide you are already enough and let nobody take that from you

This world is messy and cruel and always tryna tell us

What we should be

but maybe we're more than silly little girls

The new prince trio in Yves’ sequel

From his Dramatic Route, chapter 14

In a mansion in some place in some country...

Matias tells Kagari that he's late, but Matias is the one that arrived at their meeting spot 10 minutes early.

Actually, it was 30 minutes early, Matias corrects. Kagari calls him uptight.

Kagari then hands him a dorayaki.

Matias: It really is delicious. The way it's so miraculously soft and the rich sweetness, this must've been made by a delicate, sensitive, and beautiful woman.

[Just look at that smile]

Kagari calls him a creep.

Anyway, Kagari brought dorayaki because Matias always brings coffee.

Apparently there's a rule in the Asbrink family about the amount of sweets you can consume.

Azel arrives and immediately starts eating. Matias says he's always late to their meetings, but actually Azel's right on time because the clock bell just rang. Looks like Azel uses his customer service front with the other two.

Azel tells the two that he'll repay them as he's a god that always pays his debts. He doesn't have anything tangible, but he does have information. He tells the other two that the Black Calamity's (Gilbert) started making his move.

Well that news is expected, and not enough to repay for the dorayaki, Matias says. Azel's not done yet, he adds that Obsidian and Rhodolite are secretly meeting, with the former using the latter to gather info on the trio.

Since Rhodolite has no conflict with any of the three countries, Obsidian made a good choice. They'll receive a "warm welcome" anywhere they go. Matias reminds Kagari and Azel to keep their warm welcomes legal. Jade and Benitoite should be making moves soon too.

Kagari can't wait to try out his new katana on Keith.

Azel misses Silvio because he's rich.

Matias is getting a headache from these two because of how little they care for laws.

Matias: So what? What's important now is our move?

Azel: You make a good point, Matias.

Kagari: Kill them?

Yves Kloss Act 2 - Ch. 2 with Premium Story SUMMARY

Fan translation only. Not 100% accurate. Please expect grammatical errors. Cybird owns everything. Feel free to re-blog, but please do NOT post my translations elsewhere. Also, feel free to ignore my random commentary. I know this Master List is delayed, but eh, it was my first translation project, and I had no idea of what I was doing.

Yves, Emma, Leon and Chevalier arrive at Obsidian Palace and are taken straight to a conference room to meet Gilbert.

Gil welcomes him with an insult saying: “I never thought you’d sit on the throne. Welcome, you half-breed King?” The room is filled with nobles. Em wonders what Gil was truly referring to when he called him half-breed instead of just being born of the two nations.

Yves greets everyone in the room and Em notes that thick tension fills the atmosphere. Yves apologizes to Gilbert for not being present at Rhodolite palace to greet him when he visited to invite him for alliance talks. Gil tells him that he doesn’t care and he was actually glad Yves wasn’t present. Emma realizes that Gil will not even look at Yves - acting dismissive towards him. Gil also apologizes that their Emperor is missing the meeting, but Gil will act as his proxy. Yves agrees. Gilbert’s bloodlust is reflected in his red eye, and everyone in the room is terrified.

*FLASHBACK*

Yves and Em are in the carriage on the way to Obsidian.

Yves: There is something that I want to tell you about Gilbert.

Em: What is it?

Yves: You know my mother is from Obsidian, don’t you?

She says yes. He recaps that his birth came about because Rhodolite and Obsidian tried to strengthen diplomatic relations at one point. His mother being the bride, but diplomacy never came to fruition. Hence, both Yves and his mother were treated like abominations in Rhodolite. Em tightens her fists thinking about the pain Yves endured. Yves loosens her fists and twines their fingers together to ensure her that he is okay now that she’s with him.

Yves reveals that his mother was the sister of the Emperor’s legal wife (the Empress & Gilbert’s Mother). Making him and Gilbert cousins. Therefore, he has imperial ties to Obsidian. Yves states that this hasn’t been 100% confirmed yet, but most likely. He says that he doesn’t want to hide anything from Emma, so he’s telling her now.

Emma pushes the anxiety inside her chest deep down because whether they are cousins or not, they’ve never met before. Yves then says that if Gilbert is really his cousin, then he wants to ask Gilbert something - where is the Kloss family estate? Particularly where his mother lived. Yves wants to know more about his mother. It’s always been his childhood wish to meet his mother. He starts talking about that as a little boy he would dream about meeting her.

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

Back in the Obsidian conference room:

Emma realizes that Gilbert is staring her down and it gives her chills. Yves notices this and quietly holds her hand under the table which calms her fears.

Gilbert: Rabbit, you’ve been staring at me for a while now haven’t you?

Emma apologizes for staring.

Gilbert: That’s alright. You can look more.

Chevalier speaks up: Don’t you hate small talk?

Gilbert: I do, but my talk with the little rabbit is not a waste. In fact, it’s more important than this meeting.

Leon: You seem awfully interested in our Queen-Elect.

Gilbert: Do you like it?? That’s why this is a little annoying.///You don’t like it? That’s why this is a little annoying. ***

Em doesn’t know why he’s interested in her and why Gilbert is annoyed by the situation.

Gilbert: Chevalier is upset with me, so let’s get back to it.

Alliance talks resume. Yves states he wants an alliance and Chev backs his brother up by saying that Gilbert was the one who asked for the alliance, so there shouldn’t be a problem, right?

Gil: Yes, if you can provide information about the 3 countries - Tanzanite, Ruby & Achroite - then Obsidian will join hands with you. I promise.

Chev: There should already be a 4 way alliance.

Gil argues the validity of the current 4 way alliance that was signed by a daredevil bureaucrat who took it upon himself to sign the alliance, and not an actual member of the Imperial family. Therefore, it has no validity.

Yves hands the alliance treaty to be signed by Gilbert. And he signs it. Just. Like. That.

Emma knows somethings off, but decides to be positive. Gilbert notices her and asks, “What’s wrong, little rabbit?”

Em puts on her best smile and says, “I’m just so happy to have a formal accord with Obsidian”.

Yves: Tanzanite, Achroite, and Ruby. I will submit information on these in writing.

Gilbert: In exchange, we will supply you with military force and medical supplies, but the duration of your stay here will be short. Oh, and we’ll let you inspect Obsidian first, but don’t be half-hearted about it.***

Yves: That would never happen.

This is a rare opportunity for the Rhodolitian delegation since Obsidian is tight lipped and very rarely is information leaked. So they are eager to inspect the country.

Gil and Em’s eyes meet again, and she then notices something odd. She looks around the conference room and it seems as if Yves doesn’t exist to any of them. Almost all the attention is focused on her, Leon and Chev. It dons on her that Gilbert truly HATES Yves.

As the meeting concludes Gilbert tells them they can visit anywhere they’d like except for the designated forbidden areas. He says if they need help they can request a military escort. Em also notices there are no servants in the palace.

Yves: Prince Gilbert, I’d like to ask you a favor.

Gil: What?

Yves: I’d appreciate it if you’d tell me where my mother Eleanor lived?

Gil’s face is completely deadpan. The temperature in the air seems to drop several degrees as if being pierced by an icicle. The nobles who’ve ignored Yves up to this point are now visibly upset by Yves’ request.

Gil: I don’t know what the fun is in going there…./// I don’t know what the appeal is in going there……

Gilbert swiftly thrusts his cane up to Yves’ throat.

Leon leaps up, hand on his sword and ready to take action. Chev does nothing. (Ofc he doesn’t 😂)

Yves: It’s ok.

Yves grabbed Gil’s cane and stares Gil down.

Gil: If you want to go there, go. But I won’t help you. I don’t do favors for people that I don’t like, okay?

Afterwards, Gilbert leaves and everyone in the room was silent. In their guest room Leon compliments Yves on his manliness and messes with his hair. Yves tells Leon to stop or else he’ll mess up Em’s beautiful braid.

Leon: I see, so it’s a braid that helps you do your best?

Emma offers to re-braid it.

Leon: Theresa King and future Queen are nothing but cute, eh Chevalier?

Chev is silent.

Leon: Don’t ignore me. Isn’t good that we’re all chatting after that meeting? Emma did a great job too.

Emma: I did my best.

Yves starts to praise her too. Emma asks why Gilbert hates Yves so much. The words unintentionally come out. Chev doesn’t respond to her. Yves & Leon starting guessing. Since, it’s the first time they met it’s guessed that it can’t be something personal. Em thinks it has something to do with his mother. Leon and Yves agree that their hatred for him may obstruct their alliance. The need to tread lightly. The group breaks up to retire to their rooms. Yves stops Em from returning stating she can’t leave his side. Yves grabs her hand saying there’s no way he’s let her be by herself in a place like this. Leon remarks that their lovey dovey actions make him forget they’re in Obsidian. He tells Chev to smile. Chev’s response: “Nonsense”.

The boys leave and Yves and Em are alone. Yves begins to say how he’s a little jealous his two brothers are the same no matter where they are, and how he wants to be a cool king. Then there is a knock at the door.

Premium story:

Emma wrestles Yves onto the bed to give him a massage. She tells him she brought his favorite tea leaves from Rhodolite as well and Yves is happy about that. He actually reveals that he also brought tea leaves for her so she could relax. They get up and have tea. Yves kisses her hand and forehead.

*FLASHBACK*

The knock at the door was that of a nobleman named Horst. He is from the town the Kloss family estate is situated in and he offers to escort Yves there. Yves thanks him for his generous offer and tells Horst he will let him know his decision after the following day once he confirms his schedule with Chev & Leon. Horst leaves. All three men agree that Horst doesn’t have pure intentions, but Yves wants to proceed anyways. Both Leon and Chev support him.

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

After Yves finishes the tea Em makes him. He’s pushes her onto to the bed and showers her with kisses and he traces her neck, ears and collarbone with his tongue. He calls it her healing session. She eventually falls asleep listening to his heartbeat exhausted from the journey and the meeting.

***Each time I translated this line it kept saying: Do you like it? However, that did not fit with the context imo, so I included “You don’t like it?” As an alt.

***Just to clarify that Gilbert means they shouldn’t be half-hearted in their rare opportunity to explore Obsidian.

I’ve finally done the act 2 durge scene and I’m crying so badly on the morning after yves going like -

#I love that scene tho 😭 wyll cheering yves on meanwhile she’s like I will scoop out your one good eye and wear it on my circlet ☺️❤️💋#but I didn’t make yves tell the whole truth tho … she just cried … but she’s still withholding everything …#now I’m thinking she’s more reserved … that sweet cleric who’s a bit too trusting they met in act 1 is slowly fading away #I also hc she starts remembering some things the more they stay in moonrise #very minor things but enough to give her an idea of her past / what she’s done #now she’s more reserved … spending more time in contemplation … quietly searching to see if there’s anything else she can remember ..#all the while suffering from her dizzy spells and headache bc the more her memories get triggered the more her head hurts lol #so act 2 is not a fun time for her … and act 3 (w the stuff I’m planning) will b worse (:#shut up about bg3.#bg3 spoilers

Hello! Just wanted to say thank you for all the IkePri info you've given us :) I am super curious now about the localisation changes made for the ENG version. It seems like the MC was changed quite a bit from your tags :D. What other changes have you noticed compared to the JP version?

Hello Anon～ Apologies for the delayed reply.

You're welcome! By the way, another ask was also asking me about the localization changes so I shall be answering that here as well.

This is going to be quite extensive with spoilers from various parts (including spoilers from parts of all starter routes) for both ENG and JP versions so I shall share the examples under the cut

To start off, here are the general list of things which I had noticed a change for (as of Sep 16, 2021)

・Route Ending Titles

・MC’s Personality / Behavior and Style of Speech (This is one very major change I have noticed. First and foremost, unlike the previously released titles, in IkePri JP each of the suitor’s MC have subtle but very apparent differences to her. It’s a little hard to explain compared to experiencing it but the rough explanation would be as follow:

Leon's MC: Bright & Honest, Daring

Yves' MC: Open-minded & A Hard Worker

Licht's MC: Patient & Active

Jin's MC: Earnest & Lovely

Chevalier's MC: Intelligent & Refined, Thinks and Acts Maturely

Clavis' MC: Have Composure & Tsun (Mega Tsun pre-lovers)

Nokto's MC: Frank & Flexible

Luke's MC: Peaceful & Helpful

Sariel's MC: Elegant & Mischievous

Rio's MC: Pure & Cheerful

You get the picture. Basically, in addition to JP MC being “polite and graceful (to varying degrees depending on which Suitor’s MC)” her personality vary depending on the suitor and this is something that really impresses the JP fandom because it gave her character even more depth, and most importantly, it really shows why the specific suitor fell in love with her. Their chemistry together is just perfect.

However, ENG had changed her personality, reducing all of the above to be the “default ENG MC”. (Think IkeSen ENG’s “Sassy” MC, that’s pretty much what IkePri ENG MC was turned into). (My JP friends who are fluent in English uses the term “impudent” to describe ENG MC after reading the ENG ver). A scene from Leon Chapter 4 avatar story had him describing MC in both versions and the difference between the two was very well highlighted there so I have included that as one of my examples. Additionally, there are way too many instances of this and I simply can not cover everything in full details but I have included selected examples under the cut.)

Nonetheless, sometimes the original personality is kept because of plot-related lines (as described in the next point below) and even for ENG only players, the sudden difference in her speech pattern / behavior is can be clearly seen which sometimes leads to “a little” confusion and inconsistency.

・Conversations / Narrative in Stories (The changes here varies from minor to Major changes in nuances, to sometimes the Whole Context of the line being completely changed into something else entirely, however this mostly only happen to minor details that (1) do not affect major plot points, (2) is not a "plot-moving" scene, (3) does not touch "crucial world building" information. Some examples can be seen under the cut.)

・Suitor’s Personality (During some scenes, which examples can also be seen under the cut, the way some suitor behave or speak have quite a distinguishable difference to their original JP counterparts. Some character had their lines in ENG "toned down” making them sound “tamer”, while some ended up acting a bit more “aggressively” than they did in JP. It is debatable whether to call this “out of character” or “a change in personality that makes JP Suitor and ENG Suitor different from each other (to a certain extent)”. It is however, not something new at all for ENG localization to be changing how ENG Suitors acts such that sometimes they feel like different people (Example: IkeSen Sasuke, IkeRev Dalim))

・Choice Selections within Routes

・Usage of Character Sprites in Routes (So far, there is evidence that in at least one of the starter’s route (Yves’), a scene where a character was shown to be in their full outfit in JP ver, instead had their dressed down sprite used in the ENG ver. Due to spoilers, I will be explaining this scene and which character it was under the cut. P.S. Nokto having his dressed down sprite shown in Leon’s route is Not A Change, the original was made that way.)

・Yves Dramatic (Passionate Love) End Last Premium Story (Parts of the story, especially toward the end of the story had been rewritten from the JP version. The ENG version for this specific story included some very explicit description which Did Not Exist in the JP version. As of now, I do not know if this kind of change was made to his other end’s last premium or other suitor’s “those kind of scenes” too but refers to my earlier point of changes regarding “Conversations / Narrative in Stories” because the same applies here. As an additional note, from what you’ll see in the examples later, these type of changes are not always “made more explicit” since the opposite, “toning down and made tamer” also applies too. *Note: due to the description in ENG being Very Explicit for this story, I will be omitting it from the selections of examples below as my prior explanation had already covered all the details of what was changed.)

・Birthday Story Promotional Image (I do not mean the CG image but the layout of the template used to promote the story sale. For the ENG version, they have removed the story name from image entirely and changed “1st” to “Year 1”. The quotes they chose to use was also changed. Example from Leon 1st Birthday is included below)

・Story Names (Confirmed changes: Both End Clear Story, Birthday Story. The starter routes’ premium and His POV story titles are a direct translation of the JP version. Comparison of the starters both end clear story title and Leon’s 1st Birthday story title can be found below)

・Card/CG Titles (Not all, but many were changed. Mostly to become more concise but some has changes made to the nuances too. The CGs in the “Photos” page kept the original JP names as translated but the same CG found in the “Cards” page has adjustments made to its name in the ENG ver.)

・Card Lines (Similar to the situation with “Card/CG Titles”)

・Login Bonus Line (Similar to the situation with “Card/CG Titles”)

・Suitors' Profiles (Not only were their “A X B” Character Traits changed into a phrase, some of the suitors had their descriptions tweaked a bit too.)

・And on a general note, the way IkePri JP and IkePri ENG handles their promotions on Twitter are also different

[The following bit showcasing the examples after going through side-by-side comparisons will be even more extensive with spoilers from various parts (including spoilers from parts of all starter routes) for both ENG and JP versions so please be forewarned before proceeding]

Exhibit of Examples

Note 1: I may not be sharing all the screenshots due to sharing policies but all comparisons are side-by-side comparisons. Even for routes, I actually sat down and went through both ENG and JP version at the same time for max accuracy.

Note 2: Since we’re focusing on the differences, I’ll be omitting bits that are more or less the same in both (no change in nuance nor context).

Note 3: These are “selected examples” so there certainly are even more changes than what I chose to include here.

[Route Ending Titles]

ENG: Romantic End, Dramatic End

JP: True Love End, Passionate Love End

The ENG localization of IkePri have changed the title names to be like IkeSen / IkeRev / IkeVamp despite their JP end titles being different. As such,

True Love End (JP) = Romantic End (ENG),

Passionate Love End (JP) = Dramatic End (ENG)

[Leon Chapter 1 Scene 1 & 2] - (This segments most clearly highlights the changes in “MC’s Personality / Behavior and Style of Speech”, “Conversations / Narrative in Stories”, and as a bonus: Rio fans you’ll want to check this out for his line that was lost due to localization.)

MC: “You wish! This is... actually, wow. This is AMAZING. I bet the whole bookstore could fit in here with room to spare!”

MC: “It’s not “love nest” but it’s “my bedroom”. Uwaah... This is wonderful.”

Rio: “MC... I’ll always be here for you, no matter what!”

His words had a teasing edge, but I knew he meant it, and as the last of my doubts vanished, I felt a sudden burst of excitement.

Rio: “MC... As thanks how about a hug, or a kiss to my cheeks, orーー”

MC: “Fufu, Rio you’re full of jokes again.”

Rio: “Sure thing! But if you get lost or you need me, just call my name and I’ll come running!”

After tightly holding onto Rio’s hand, I left the room to explore the palace.

Leon: “Because it’s not that far from the truth. I wasn’t kidding when I said we don’t talk much.”

MC: “Okay, I guess I get that, butーI had no idea you were royalty, either. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw you in the palace!”

Leon: “Sorry if it felt like I was keeping secrets from you. How about I do something to make up for it?”

MC: “When we met in town, why did you make it sound like Prince Chevalier is just someone you came across before?”

Leon: “I don't really talk to Chevalier much so it's not really wrong to say he's just someone I come across”

MC: “I see.... wait, that's not the point here! I totally didn't think you're also a royalty so it surprised meーー”

Leon: “Sorry for surprising you. Won't you let me apologize for it?”

[Leon Chapter 4 Attire Story] - This story included a description for MC as quoted by Leon. This part very clearly shows the personality change in MC of the two versions.

ENG: “Who's smart and sassy and also really sweet”

JP: “Who’s strong-willed, hard working, and serious”

[Leon Chapter 5 Choice Selection] - The (+4 +4) choice in this chapter was changed from playful (JP) into serious (ENG). The conversation following the choice selection was also changed however since I’ll be focusing on the change in “Choice Selection” example here, I won’t be sharing the dialogue that followed.

・I frowned at him.

・I questioned his motives. (+4 +4)

・I sighed and looked away.

・Pretend to be angry

・Tease him back (+4 +4)

・Turn away from him

[Leon Chapter 7] - Nokto had one of his line changed in this chapter and this change in ENG, no offense but, it made him sound like he was turned into IkeVamp Arthur. This is an example for changes in “Suitor’s Personality” and “Conversations / Narrative in Stories”. Other than this one line, the rest of Nokto’s dialogue in this chapter was “plot-moving” and contained “crucial world building” information thus his original line was kept as is (which I am personally very glad that they did not changed the rest much because this was my favorite Nokto scene in Leon Route).

Nokto: “Aww, rejected already! I’m heartbroken.”

Nokto: “Aww, too bad. I got rejected.”

[Leon Chapter 9] - Toward the end of the chapter, Nokto had one of his line lost in localization similarly to what happened to Rio in Leon Chapter 1. The examples from this chapter highlights the changes in “Conversations / Narrative in Stories”.

ENG

Nokto: “Don't tell me you and Leon are already...”

MC: “Already what?”

Nokto: “You're a woman. He's a man. And what beast doesn't want to pounce when a pretty little rabbit appears before him?”

Nokto: “Could it be you and Leon are already in that kind of relationship?”

MC: “What kind?”

Nokto: “You know? A guy and a girl together? That kind of relationship. For a rabbit to be in front of a beast like this... It's hard to resist their instinct.”

ENG

Nokto: “This should make up for me not helping you out last night. I don't like owing people things.”

MC: “Nokto, I... okay, thanks!”

I still wasn't sure whether I could trust Nokto, but if he was going to give me this opportunity, I wasn't going to squander it.

(This isn't quite how I wanted it to play out, but I'll take any chance I can get to break the ice with Chevalier.)

Nokto: “With this, I'm making it even for not being able to help you out last night. After all, I don't like being in debt.”

MC: “Nh, thank you, Nokto....!!”

I was so eager to follow along that I didn't caught it when the words....

*“Many things are better left unknown.” ....left from his mouthーー

Note: The bolded sentence here is the bit that was entirely changed across localization. I wanted to highlight this out because (mild spoiler) the phrase “Many things are better left unknown.” is a phrase that later on comes into play again in Nokto’s route and it really emphasizes on the core of his character.

Nokto: “How did you end up looking like that? I doubt blood just came raining down from the sky to drench you.”

Nokto: “What's with all the blood? And don't joke that it rained blood on your way here.”

[Leon Chapter 19] - This part once again highlights the changes in “MC’s Personality / Behavior and Style of Speech”, changes in “Suitor’s Personality” and “Conversations / Narrative in Stories”. During this whole conversation here, the way it played out in ENG and JP pretty much gives off the same message but... both MC’s and Nokto’s personalities just ain’t it when you compare how the conversation turned out in both versions.

ENG

Nokto: “Do you have any idea how many guests are here tonight? I've been smiling and greeting them for so long my cheeks hurt. I deserve a break.”

MC: “Well, when you put it like that...”

Nokto: “You know, we used to hold balls like this all the time, before... recent events. But that means it's the same old same old and I'm bored.”

Nokto: “Oooh, I know.”

(I don't like that glint in your eyes...)

Nokto studied me in the semi-darkness, a mischievous smile playing across his lips, and then he reached out and caught hold of my hand.

Nokto: “Why don't you come back to the ball with me, MC?”

(You have GOT to be kidding me!)

MC: “You know there's people here from Obsidian, right?! I can't just go waltzing into the ballroom! Come on, Nokto, I know you're not stupid.”

Nokto: “I'm not. And that's why I know they're not going to guess who you are just by looking at you.”

Nokto: “Besides, I don't think I can stomach going back in there without something exciting to entertain me.”

Nokto: “But if you can't handle the challenge, I guess I'll have to just sneak off into town andーー”

MC: “You can't do that! This is an important event!”

Nokto: “Then you know what you have to do.”

MC: “All right, fine, but I'm not staying long!”

I scowled at Nokto, but his grin only widened as he twined his fingers firmly with mine and turned towards the doors leading inside.

Nokto: “There's tons of guests tonight, I've been forever handling the reception ever since it started. .....That's why it's about time I take a break”

MC: “.....I see, you worked hard”

Nokto: “Before the king passed away, there's a lot of these kind of balls held at the castle, and there's no unusual face around today either so it's pretty boring”

Nokto: “.........I got an idea”

(.....?)

His thin lips turned into a smirk as if he's plotting something as he firmly grip onto my wrist

Nokto: “Won't you go back to the ball with me, MC?”

(Eh........wha? No, no, no!)

MC: “I can't do that! Tonight there's guests from Obsidian too aren't there!?”

Nokto: “Yeah, and it'll be huge trouble if they find out you're Belle. But, just something like seeing your face won't give you away”

Nokto: “And unless there's some sort of thrills, I can't get myself to head back to the ball”

Nokto: “If you won't accompany me then, I might as well ditch it and just like this, head off somewhereーー”

MC: “Nh, you can't do that!”

Nokto: “Right? Which means you have only 1 option left to take”

MC: “Wah.......!”

While holding onto my hand, Nokto walked off with a jaunty step

Nokto: “You were pretty when your world was so tiny you'd only read about love in books. But now that actual love has left you heartbroken... You're stunning.”

Nokto: “So stunning I could definitely see myself enjoying a night with you in my arms.”

Nokto: “More so than when all you knew were just the narrow world of love within books, you're much more sensual when you're suffering from love”

Nokto: “......To the point that makes me think I won't mind being your one night stand partner”

Nokto: “And judging by that expression, I bet you've got a lot to learn in the bedroom.”

Nokto: “Lately, there have been rumors that military action is on the horizon.”

MC: “What kind of military action?”

Nokto: “Ooh, I've piqued your curiosity, huh?

I jerked my head away from his hand, and he chuckled.

Nokto: “You see, recently there's some fishy rumors floating around.”

MC: “What fishy rumors?”

Nokto: “.....Ooh, you're interested after all?”

Nokto: “Let's see.... If you enjoy yourself together with me in bed then, I won't mind telling you though?”

MC: “Nh, never mind then. I can just ask someone else about it.”

I looked away from him, and he chuckled.

MC: “Stop playing games with me.”

(I'm really curious about that rumor, but I'm also not buying at the price Nokto is asking!)

MC: “I'll be leaving now.”

MC: “Don't play me.”

(I'm interested in what the rumors is about but, if I ask about it from Nokto that seems like a huge price to pay.)

MC: “I'll be going now alright.”

Nokto: “He's probably in the library at this time of day.”

MC: “Really?”

Nokto: "And just like that, you owe me one. I realize now that wooing you is going to require real persistence and tactics.”

(I was about to thank you, but when you say that, I'm glad I didn't.)

Nokto: “If King Highness makes you cry, come to me and I'll comfort you.”

MC: “Uh, thanks for the offer, I think?”

Nokto: “If it's around this time, I wonder if he's in the library.”

MC: “Eh?”

Nokto: “With this, you owe me one. Just now I realized the hard selling way seems to work better with you.”

(When you say that it makes me don't want to thank you)

Nokto: “Come to me if King makes you cry. I'll comfort you.”

MC: “T-thanks?”

[Chevalier Chapter 4 Attire Story] - The way the dialogue proceed in this story once again highlights the changes in “MC’s Personality / Behavior and Style of Speech” that the localization has brought about.

ENG

MC: “Good morning, Prince Chevalier.”

All I could see was a large, silent, motionless lump under the sheets that didn’t respond to my greeting.

MC: “Umm, wakey wakey, eggs and bakey?”

Still no response.

MC: “Prince Chevalier!”

MC: “Good morning, Prince Chevalier.”

Chevalier: “.....”

MC: “Um, it's time for breakfast but.....”

Chevalier: “.....”

MC: “Prince Chevalier!”

[Chevalier Chapter 5] - This scene also shows the changes in “MC’s Personality / Behavior and Style of Speech”, and “Suitor’s Personality” that was slightly changed due to the nuance difference in the way the line was said between the two versions. All in all, Chevalier in JP really do feel more “sadistic” than in ENG and this scene is just one of the example of that. There is also a distinct difference in MC’s personality in ENG vs in the original JP ver which can also clearly be seen here from the way she reacts to Chevalier telling her to “move”.

ENG

Chevalier: “That was clumsy of you.”

(Ohー)

I found Chevalier standing next to me, looking down at me with those frigid eyes.

MC: “Well, this is awkward....”

Chevalier: “Indeed. And you need to move.”

(I'm fine, thanks for asking! Geez!)

Chevalier: “How clumsy”

(Ah.....)

By the time I realized, Prince Chevalier was standing next to me staring down on me with a cold gaze

MC: “My apologies for the unsightly....”

Chevalier: “It absolutely is. And get out of my way”

(I didn't expect him to worry about me but..... He's unsparing.....)

[Yves Chapter 13] - This is another example for changes in “Suitor’s Personality” and “Conversations / Narrative in Stories”. The punching line ENG Yves here said earned a “What? I beg your pardon?” from me when I read that line because that was a little, if not too much, of a shift in Yves’ personality from the JP Yves I came to know making him uh... more aggressive? Or well, more “impudent” like how ENG MC had also generally became so.

ENG

Yves: “I'm so furious I'd love to go in and punch every single one of them in the face. But I'm hardly the punching type.”

Yves: “So when the banquet is over, meet me in the kitchen.”

MC: “The kitchen? Why?”

Yves: “To blow off steam, obviously, We're going to eat everything I make in the meantime. After all, you're the only one who knows my secret.”

MC: “I'd love to help! I promise I'll be there, and we'll eat everything in sight!”

Yves: “So much that I want to go and raid the banquet right away. But it's not like I can do that, right?”

Yves: “That's why, then the banquet is safely over, let's gather in the kitchen”

MC: “Kitchen.....?”

Yves: “Come join me as I binge eat to release off my stress, MC. The only one who knows about this secret of mine is you so...”

MC: “Uh...of course! I'll join you and eat a lot too, I promise!”

[Yves Chapter 17] - The ENG version of Yves Chapter 17 includes Licht’s dressed down sprite that does on exist in this route in the JP version. In the JP version, it wasn’t until late October 2020 (almost 4 months after release) that Licht’s dressed down sprite was first revealed before his route release in November 2020. In the JP ver, other than the starters and Nokto whose route was slated for release 1.5 month after the release of IkePri JP, all other characters did not have their dressed down sprite shown in any of the starters’ routes at all. (Rio casual outfit from the prologue is another exception).

[Yves Chapter 19] - And again, another highlight on the changes in “Suitor’s Personality” and “Conversations / Narrative in Stories”. This time it’s Klein Twin’s interaction and how the way their conversation played out in ENG delivered the scene so differently from JP in terms of mood and tone and the emphasis made on what is being said.

ENG

Nokto: “Well, handing Evie over to Obsidian might actually be a good idea. Although on wrong move and he'll be dead.”

Licht: “....Nokto.”

Nokto: “Stop glaring at me like that. I'm just telling it like it is. It's not like they actually care about Evie.”

Nokto: “Besides, Evie's so naturally unlucky I wouldn't be surprised if God himself abandoned him. It's more likely he'llー”

Licht's chair hit the floor with a sudden crash as he rocketed to his feet and stormed over to Nokto, grabbing him by the collar.

Licht: “Can't you event tell the difference between what to say and what not to say?”

Note: The bolded sentence here is the bit that completely changed the twin’s characterization between versions. There is such a major difference in nuance in what Nokto said as well.

"Literally" translated, the line in JP would end up as

“More over, Yves-chan himself got such level of unluckiness that seems like even god had forsaken him doesn't he. The chances of being saved isーー”

The original JP line on the “god abandoning” was emphasized on his level of unluckiness

Whereas, in ENG they’ve instead emphasized on “god himself abandoned Yves”

As you can see here, these two means completely different things.

Additionally, the way Licht treated Nokto in ENG here is something Klein twins absolutely wouldn't do to each other had this been their original JP persona.
