October 2019 Round-Up

It’s round-up time! Below the read more is a compilation of some notable news stories that we haven’t previously posted about.

This month features two major additions to AKB48 and STU48, the abrupt exit of a BiS member, and so much more.

AKB48

Ten new members have been introduced as members of Team 8. They are as follows (name and representative prefecture); Uemi Solano - Miyazaki, Hasegawa Momoka - Fukushima, Nunoya Lil - Akita, Inoue Miyu - Iwate, Shiobara Karin - Niigata, Suzuki Yuka - Shizuoka, Matsumura Miku - Mie, Fukume Mitsuho - Hyogo, Tokunaga Remi - Tottori, and Yukina Kamachi - Okayama. [x*] Some members will be attendance of the convention Manga Barcelona, from October 31st to November 2nd. Check HERE* for more details!

ANGERME

Sub-leader, Kana Nakanishi has announced her graduation from the group. She will graduating in December of this year, after a long consideration period after her foot injury last year. [x*] We wish her the best of luck with her final activities and future endeavors!

BILLIE IDLE

The group has announced disbandment after their final stop on their “Last Orgy” tour in December of this year. [x*] We wish the members sucessful group activities and future endevours!

BiS

Member, ZUZU DEATH has announced her withdrawal from the group after one week. She has cited family reasons as for why she withdrew. [x*]

CandyeSyrup

The group will be officially disbanding, November 17th. [x*]

Country Girls

The group has announced that they will disband December 26th. Risa Yamaki will be leaving the entertainment business completely. Mai Ozeki will go to college, but still be in entertainment business. Musubu Funaki will leave Country Girls, and Angerme in March, but pursue dance. Lastly, Chisaki Morito will stay in Morning Musume. Up-Front Entertainment is considering a third iteration of the group. [x*]

Enoha Girls

Earlier this month, a memorial was held for Honoka Omoto who passed away from suicide in 2018. There were fans gathered, her photos displayed, and audio of her singing playing at the memorial. Her group members also recounted their memories with her. After the memorial, the new management agency of the group announced that ‘Enoha Girls’ would disband December 22nd of this year. The lawsuits against the previous agency for Omoto’s death are still in litigation. [x*]

HKT48

Member Mio Tomonaga has returned to performing. She took time off to recover from a meniscus tear in her knee, but it is not fully healed. [x*] We hope she returns to work safely!

KAQRIYOTERROR

Member Seiuchimaru has suspended her activities with the group. She is taking a break due to poor health. Her statement can be found HERE (Japanese Only) .

LADYBABY

The group has annouced their suspension of activities in 2020. The group will suspend their activities after their one-man live on January 13th 2020, for "Reburn". You can read the full statement HERE, and if you hit google translate it gives a pretty good translation of the member's indivdual statements.

Momoiro Revolution

The group has announced their disbandment for December 1st 2019. [x*] We wish all members the best in their future endeavors!

NMB48

Member Narumi Koga has announced her graduation from the group. He last activity will be in December. After graduation she intends to pursue acting. [x*]

Nogizaka46

Member, Sayuri Inoue has announced that her graduation will come in spring. She’s had a knee injuries for many years, and was absent from the last single.[x*]

Playballs

The group has announced their disbandment, set for February 11th 2020. [x*] We wish the girls the best of luck in their final activities and future activities afterwards!

Q'ulle

The group has announced that they will be disbanding after their 2020 tour, sometime in early summer. They have not set a firm date as of the announcement. [x*] We wish all the members success in their final activities and future endeavors!

Sakura Cinderella

The group has issued a formal apology for having caused a nuisance at Tokyo DisneySea on October 23rd. The group not only blocked other attendees, but violated Tokyo DisneySea’s policy on promotion sales/events at the park. The group was doing a ‘gratitude’ event for those who bought their recent single “Halloween Monster”, but also claimed that it was not a fiscal transaction…. SKE48

Member, Akane Takayanagi has announced her graduation from the group on October 5th. Her final activity date is not set, but anticipated to be in spring. [x*] Following this member, Miki Nonogaki also announced her graduation from the group after turning 20. [x*] Additionally, member Matsui Jurina has announced that she will gradually return to the group starting November 21st. [x*]

SKOOL GIRL BYE BYE

The group has suspended their activities immediately.[x*]

Stella⭐︎Blue

Member Sayaka Aino, who debuted with the group in June, has been dismissed from the group. The reason for dismissal was that it was discovered she is pregnant. [x*]

STU48

Member, Haruka Mishima has announced her graduation from the group. Her last handshake event will be November 23rd, and she will attend college afterwards. [x*] The group has also officially announced their 2nd generation members. A total of 25 girls have officially joined the group! [x*]

Tsubaki Factory

Member, Kiki Asakura will now gradually return to activities after recovering from her lumbar disc problem. [x*] We hope she returns to activities safely!

Yanakoto Sono Mute

The group has announced a live in Bangkok for December 21st later this year! More details can be found HERE .

Woltanative

The group has annouced disbandment for December 1st. [x*]

2o Love to Sweet Bullet

Members Shiho Fujino and Yoshida Mita have withdrawn from the group. Yoshida Mita has been absent from activities in a resting period, but has decided to withdraw from the group. She will have a meeting event on November 9th, and then be officially withdrawn. Fujino Shiho had problems with canceling her appearances, or being unable to be contacted for long periods of time. Thus, it was decided by Shiho and the company that she should withdraw. [x*] Similarly, member Yume Ichinose has breached her contract. While she has been absent from events due to poor physical health, but has been unable to be contacted through the announcement. Their company has terminated her contract, and will be pursing legal action against her. Updates will be posted when available on their website. [x*]

Member Mei Hanakawa announced suspension of activities. She sited being unwell for several months, and it recently got worse. [x*] We hope she has a speedy recovery!

Check Out 48 Character Voices with "King's Game The Animation" New PVs

The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Nobuaki Kanazawa/Pakkuncho's cell phone novel Oosama Game/King's Game today posted two new PVs to introduce its 48 character voices. The TV anime tells an original story that combines the first novel Ousama Game/King's Game and the second novel Ousama Game Shukyoku/King's Game Climax. And the first PV introduces the characters from the first novel, and the second video introduces those from the second.

  The Seven (Musekinin Galaxy Tylor)-animated series is set to premiere on AT-X on October 5, and will be also available on Crunchyroll.

Liones entrerà nella Classe S, dove incontrerà molti compagni tutti unici e speciali, tra cui la Logicalista Nina Alexandrovena.

Il franchise ha già ispirato altre serie animate quali “Luck & Logic” , disponibile in Italia grazie a Yamato Video, e  “Watashitachi, Luck Logic-bu!”, serie di corti di cui debutterà una seconda stagione online ad agosto.

April News Round-Up

It’s round-up time! Below the read more is a compilation of some notable news stories that we haven’t previously posted about.

This month features new members of the Up Up Girls family, an update on Hello! Project’s new groups, and, as always, some graduations.

AKB48

After falling from a stage during a show at the beginning of April, it has been announced that Team 4′s Inagaki Kaori will be gradually resuming activities. She suffered a skull fracture, but was released from the hospital on April 11 and will work towards getting back on stage. She will be closely monitored to ensure that she doesn’t overexert herself. [x]

Babymetal

Babymetal has officially launched a clothing brand called BMD Fox Apparel. It consists of three pieces, shorts, leggings and a jacket which is more sports apperal based verses band merchandise. For more details please take a look at the link: [x]

BiS

Momoland officially left the group on April 20. Due to physical and mental exhaustion, it was determined that she could no longer continue activities with BiS. She tweeted an apology for her departure, and asks that fans continue to support her. [x]

Ciao Bella Cinquetti 

After 12 years of activities, Ciao Bella Cinquetti has announced disbandment. The members decided that they had accomplished all they could as a group, and would like to focus their efforts on solo activities in the future. The group will officially disband on August 2. Their final tour started on April 30. [x]

DISDOL

Disdol has officially disbanded. Haruna will no longer be an idol. Yuki and Mashiro will join Setsuna Sonic. No official reasons have been sited for their disbandment. [x] We wish all the girls sucess in their future projects!

Hiragana Keyakizaka46

Keyakizaka46′s second group was initially set to release an album in May, but the release was pushed back to June 20 due to production issues. It was also announced that from June 4 to July 3, the group will participate in a national tour to promote and celebrate the album’s release. [x]

Kalafina

Keiko officially left the group this month. Her contract with the company, Spacecraft Production,ended on April 1. Kalafina will continue to do activities as a duo. [x]

Hello! Project

Ichioka Reina will be a leader of a new group focused on dancing/performance. Takes Kurumi and Kiyono Momohime have been announced to be the first members of a group with a theater troupe image. They are still searching for new group members, and will have activities from summer to autumn of this year.[x]

HKT48

Yuka Akiyoshi fractured two of her toes during a performance (same one as Inagaki Kaori). She finished performing since she felt okay to perform but had been taken out of the April 1 and 2nd concerts. [x] We wish her a speedy recovery! In other news, Sashihara Rino topped the Nikkei Entertainment Female Idol Ranking. She has now placed first three times in a row. [x]

NGT48

The 2nd generation members have been selected. The audition was held jointly with local city officers in order to choose members that were ideal for promoting the charms of Niigata. All of them have not been identified yet, due to the need to finish the paperwork. [x]

Nishiuchi Mariya 

Nishiuchi’s contract with Rising Production expired this month, and was not renewed. She has been inactive for over a year now, but has announced that she is not retiring. Plenty of speculation surrounds why she was inactive, but nothing has been confirmed. [x]

Nogizaka46

The single “Synchronicity” became the first of Nogizaka46′s releases to sell over 1 million copies in the first week of sales. The milestone occured just 3 days after release. [x] In addition, Shiraishi Mai topped the Nikkei Entertainment Rising Musical Act Ranking. [x]

PiGU

Alt-idol group PiGU has disbanded. Two members have been sick for extended periods of time, and member Kiki had wanted to leave. The group's songs will be played by group U'chel fronts. [x]

Pinokko

Formerly known as Risa Satosaki, she has changed her stage name. She officially changed it April 16, and announced it on April 23rd. [x]

Up Up Girls (2)

2 new members have been announced to join the group. 13 year-old Nakagawa Chihiro and 12 year-old Honoka Sasaki will make their debut with the group on May 1, and participate in the upcoming UUG(2) single that is set to come out in August. Interestingly, both members are skilled in karate. [x]

Unohana ha lanciato il manga sulla rivista nell’aprile del 2016 e Hobunsha ne pubblicherà il terzo volume il 27 settembre.
