Day 2 Sweat  

A little late for day 2 whumpril and we're back to my Bleach AU-Shared custody.

AU summary- Uryuu was taken by squad 12 members alongside Souken's soul on the day he was attacked.

Uryuu does something reckless, knowing he'd lose, someone catches him.

He knew he wasn’t going to win, no matter how dangerous Soul society saw him as it was against three captains but he hoped he could have given Tatsuki some time to flee with Rukia, since she was the one this whole plan was set for.

Instead the moment he had started released his Shikai everything had gone black when Cap- Tosen appeared behind him unsealing his sword. If Tosen thought the pain from the cuts he inflicted was enough to stop him he really hadn’t bothered to read the file the monster was quite fond of rereading to Uryuu as if he could forget the months of experiments before Yachiru freed him.

So Uryuu skipped Shikai and broke his own rules, releasing Yudokuna fully, even if he couldn’t hear his own words, they did.

“Bankai. Spawn and consume all, Yūdokuna.”

Yudokuna let out a gleeful laugh before it scattered into numerous smaller ones.

Later he’ll thank the black nothing of Tosen’s dome that allowed him to adjust as his awareness was split into fragments instead of losing control of himself like he had the first time.

‘Feast, feast, feast’ their voices echoed through his mind as they started to spread from him and eat at the traitor Captain’s Bankai growing in size as they did.

“What the-?” the captain’s shocked words reached him moments before the black vanished.

For a moment he was frozen as he was hit by the sudden light and the many points of view from his fragments, Tatsuki was on the floor alongside Renji and the one he would guess was Ichigo making him wonder if he had been trapped there longer than he had thought.

He throws himself out the way as his views from the fragments warned him of Tosen’s attack.

“Interesting.” Azien smiled at him, Uryuu bit back the urge to hiss as Yudokuna’s fragments trembled, something was wrong, they had never felt at ease around the bespectacled captain but he had thought that was just because sometimes the man looked at him the same way the monster did, like he wanted to dissect him.

This was different, this was more that discomfort, this was fear and he had never felt fear from his other half before.

Before he could do anything, even summon his bow, a flash of light aimed for his face and blood and black returned to consume his vision, this time with burning pain.

He choked on a scream, tasting copper as he reached with his hands to cover his face.

Warm blood covered his hand, Ichimaru had blinded him with a single cut from across the ground, he realised what had happened even without seeing from the fragments point of view.  

“Gin.” Azien scolded, as Uryuu swayed, he hurt he had never lost his sight in the lab, he swallowed back terror as he found himself returning to that helplessness.

“Sorry.” the other chimed, not sorry in the least, Uryuu could hear the grin in his voice.

Uryuu stumbled, from the pain, terror, bloodloss and a wave of sickness, he swallowed back as he recognised the feeling of poison and Yudokuna increased her own potency to overwhelm Ichimaru’s.

Another slash from behind, warned as he was by his fragments but unable to move, sent him to the ground, he felt the fragments attempted to retreat to him but they wouldn’t make it before Tosen finished him off, it was a shame he thought, he was so close to see father again.

The blade was stopped and for the first time Uryuu was glad at the sudden appearance of the stealth force.

Uryuu’s tightened his grip of his blade as the three traitors vanished into the sky, it was only Yudokuna’s fragments that meant he could still see what was going on so he fought to keep himself awake and his Bankai released.

Even if their vision was only in blue and purple.

Blind from Gin’s slash, his own poisoned reishi consuming the captain’s and deeply aware of the sweat coating his body, Uryuu found himself longing for Isane’s cooling touch or Yumichika spare cloth to wipe some of the grime away.

Still it was easy to lose track of time as he used the fragments to heal the more minor damages to his body, the cuts from Tosen mostly. He wasn’t going to make an attempt on his eyes, the last thing he wanted was to make his eyesight worse while attempting to reverse his new blindness.

Two of the fragments were attempting to reshape the Reishi from the ground to repair his glasses.

“Uryuu.” the low voice called him from his brief daze that he flinched as he realised who was suddenly within hands reach.

Father the word doesn’t leave his month even as it fills his mind, it had been years and he had fear, hated father when he was taken but-

He slumped sideways into father’s arms, even as part of him screamed not to let down his guard, father was in danger, he hadn’t be in the lab he could still be saved.

The broken look in father’s eyes when Uryuu had found him standing over mother, had haunted him, he had left him alone. 

“I’m sorry.” he sighed as the hand not holding his blade, scrambled to grab at father’s clothes unthinking of the dirt he would be staining the no doubt white fabric, even now with his father under his hand he wanted to see him with his own eyes to check he was real.

Year apart and he suddenly wanted to be that child agains before mother’s death made father cold, and the lab broke and remade Uryuu.

His last feeling before he lost his fight to stay awake was father wiping soft fabric across his face cleaning blood and sweat away.

“Foolish child," Ryuuken breathed into his son’s hair, longer than he had ever let it grow, but it was still Uryuu, his son was in his arms, nothing was going to get him to let him go again. "You have nothing to apologise for.”

I’m gonna explain some things

So if you follow me you’ve seen my two posts about my bnha self-insert and that I’m gonna cosplay her soon, but what you might not know is why. So allow me to explain why I show my self-insert it on here.

I have a chronic illness. My chronic illness is Irritable bowel syndrome or IBS. IBS comes with many symptoms which can range from nausea to constipation to cramping and bloating. This is a chronic illness that I’ve struggled with for a better part of my life with the symptoms starting when I was 8. 

I hate the symptoms that my IBS brings to the table mostly nausea. So when I was trying to come up with a quirk (my OCs power) I went through a handful of ideas before it hit me. 

Make her quirk your IBS. 

I gave her an acid/gas quirk. One that spills out her mouth. Overuse causes burns to the throat and only her stomach can contain the acids, but still, the damage is done to the stomach not much though. The acids and gas that she holds aren’t normal though they range from gases that can put you to sleep to being able to kill. 

Though that idea came later for the range and specifically which kinds of gases and acids she can use. 

When I first made Yama Yudokuna I had the idea in mind of taking the one thing I really hated about my life at the time and turning it into a superpower of someone who was aiming to become a hero even though she’d been told her quirk was suited for a villain.

When she was born the gases spilled out her mouth almost killing her parents, the nurses, and the doctor before they contained her and made a special gas mask (almost like how people born without limbs are given special prosthetics and get bigger ones as they grow)

Yama is me and honestly making her has helped me love myself more with this chronic illness that I face daily.

Mai Karada- orphan+ surrogate daughter to Iruka, taijutsu and fuinjutsu specialist, Fire affinity and komodo dragon summoner. Extroverted, cheerful, emotionally sensitive to others moods, tries very hard to keep morale up, secretly has shit self esteem.

In her pervious life, she was killed in a mugging and so takes self defense and becoming stronger very seriously.

Tsukiko “Tsuki” Okami- lives with grandparents and is an unknown Hatake clan bastard, genjutsu, summoning/transformation and kenjutsu specialist, dual Lightning+Wind affinity and wolf summoner. Withdrawn, cold, anxious, paranoid needs to be/feel strong, feels like she’s weighing everyone else down.

In her pervious life, she was killed when a truck crashed into her bus stop and she is terrified of dying because of a freak accident again, to the point of paranoia.

Daiki Yudokuna-- maternal cousin and later adoptive brother to Sakura Haruno, ninjutsu, medical and Kyūdōjustu (archery) specialist, dual Water+Earth affinity and barn owl summoner. Mild, gentle, analytical, prone to over-thinking, chronic workaholic and desperately wants to protect his loved ones.

In his previous life, he died due to illness and therefore is incredibly conscious of health and is the whole reason he devotes himself so fiercely to medicine.

These three met when they all went to try and find Naruto only to find him playing with Hinata and all responding the same way when Naruto declared he’d become Hokage (awe and the realization that the character who saved their lives and motivated them through hard times was before them), the three became fast friends and supporters of one another.

At first all three are beyond relieved to have Naruto with friends and family with Jiraya and Tsunade back in the village. But when the Uchiha Insurrection happens and kills Daiki’s mother while scarring Mai, all three are traumatized and realize that they have no idea what is going to happen. The three clung to one another harder and began to train constantly to prepare themselves for an unknown future.

Their eventual sensei, you’re asking? Zabuza Momochi, as part of his parole. The squad is terrified and excited/elated, and Zabuza often wonders if the Hokage knew just how batshit bizarre these kids are and assigned him as their sensei as punishment.

Sometimes she chooses to just use a sleep like gas in order to keep from fighting.

If turned into the acid-like substance then it can cause burns on the skin and eat away at clothes and other objects. Strength: When in a small confined space, her quirk is very useful

Day four of AMonthOfWhump's March Trope-a-Thon.

Elijah gets a break, as I return to Bleach and Shared custody.

AU summary- Uryuu was taken by squad 12 members alongside Souken's soul on the day he was attacked.

Tensions and events in Seireitei led to Uryuu facing his past.

Uryuu’s hands pressed against the glass, attempting to use the cold feeling to ground him against the growing panic, he wasn’t sure how or why he had ended back here.

He had noticed the new members of the squad two that had appeared after the attack at the gate, likely to watch him in case he showed any sympathy to the ryoka.

Which itself was stupid, and a waste of manpower, after years he had spent following their rules, healing their people, the only person he would side with was father and he was too smart to risk coming for him.

Uyruu had long learned to smother the longing wish that he would come, if he did it would just lead to the last of his family dying likely in the same place he was once again trapped.

But none of that explained why he was back in the glass case that had served as his cell in the earliest months in soul society until Yachiru had found him

It was meant to be shattered, even on the times he had been forced back to the lab ‘for checkups’, it was never there. The monster had gleefully shown him his new cage if the head captain decided to return Uryuu to his care.

“Let me out.” a child’s voice pleaded suddenly cause Uryuu to jump and turn around the child that hadn’t been there.

As he stared he realised the child shouldn’t possibly be there at all as he found himself looking down at his past self. He hadn’t notice how much he had grown until he took in the fact his younger self barely reached his chest height.

Uryuu froze as the glass vanished for a moment as a hand with long black nails appeared to grasp his younger’s arm and ripped him from the case with ease.

“No, no no, let me go.” the boy screamed in panic, and Uryuu struggled to swallow around the lump of terror that climbed his throat.

“So picky and here I thought you wanted to come out.” the monster grumbled to himself ignoring the desperate movement from the boy he was dragging towards the table.

Uryuu’s breath failed as he heard the voice and his lungs hurt, begging for him to take a breath but he couldn’t, he was stuck watching as his worst nightmares was suddenly playing in front of his eyes.

A syringe appeared in the monster’s hand and with little care entered his younger self’s neck taking what little fight he could put up, Uryuu flinched, the days without Nemu was alway worst she always used a little more than necessary, giving him a little escape from the pain and horror.

He looks so small when the monster places him on the table, screams lost to quiet whimpers, useless pleas and desolate crying.

Then he notices the woman standing behind the scene isn’t Nemu, as she sees his attention she smiles at him growing taller from the lieutenant’s height to her normal towering stature.

Yudokuna.

It takes him a little longer to realise what was different from her normal appearance, Uryuu stiffened as red-gold eyes met his blue, her golden mask was missing leaving her eyes clear and the usual markings around her eyes were open, giving her eight to his two.

She stepped away from the ease in loud echoing footsteps walking towards the glass he was still caged in, all three pair of her arms visible and unhidden for once  

"Monster! Monster!" The remains of the child he once was whimpered from the table and Uryuu wasn’t sure if it was still stuck in the nightmare facing the monster that had taken them, killed grandfather a second time on that table and  taken him apart, or was voicing thoughts about the appearance of the other half of his soul.

She had hidden most of her spider traits when he was younger showing them more as he grew, he had found comfort in them, spiders ate butterflies.

“Wake up. ” she whispered, as she laid hand on the glass above him, the golden tipped nails scratching the glass, the sound filling across the room and covering the whimpers from his past self.

He woke up, throwing himself up and away from his bed to take a deep breath as he took in the difference from the dark lab and his daylight lit room.

Now he remembered; he had taken a nap to prepare for the chance he’d be called to deal with any injuries caused in squad 11 after they had announced an impromptu party/brawl after Captain Ichimaru had beaten them to the gate.

It was a dream he told himself as he took deep breaths, just a dream, it was obvious now he was awake but trapped in his mind it felt so real.  

His Zanpakutō spirit materialised beside him leaning down to look at him with concern, mask lifted up to sit more like a crown over her hair but only looking at him with her normal two gold-red eyes..

Before she could speak a crack interrupted them and they looked up out of the window to see the sky above Seireitei away. He watched as the barrier broke and something passed though holding for a moment before it broke apart and started to fall to the ground in pieces. 

‘Not pieces’ he thought, ‘groups’ as he could pick out different reiatsu of seven people.

The thousand voices started hissing in his mind as he fled their rush of excitement and Yudokuna’s concerned looks was slowly overtaken by a wide smile showing off her sharp fangs, the markings around her eyes started to open again. 

He reached out to pull her mask back down to cover her face.

“Not yet.” he warned her, they had too much attention on him to do anything at the moment but even as he spoke he couldn’t help the growing uncertainty as he noticed something achingly familiar about one of now falling ryoka’s reiatsu.

It couldn’t be.

One thing I feel should be said is the fate of the League members, excluding Muscular and Moonfish as those two are just plain murderers.

The League does get saved, in a way. Just like Toga was allowed into the Hero Course, Dabi, Spinner, Mustard, and Shigaraki are also in it, while Compress, Magne, and Twice are going through a different program meant for vigilantes to get them certified as Heroes.

Mustard, who's real name is Yudokuna Busujima, is not technically old enough yet to enter UA. But he has a secured recommendation from Midnight, who also took him in as her own son after his situation with his parents came to light and was nearly as bad as the abuse Toga endured. While not forced to suppress his quirk, Yudokuna was mocked and bullied relentlessly for having a villainous quirk that he wasn't even safe from himself. Midnight has shown far more love and compassion for him in the month he's lived with her than his birth mother had shown in all his life.

Spinner, or Shuichi Iguchi as he's also known as, would have gone through the vigilante program, but had insisted on going to UA. In his own words, 'I know many of the students have the spirit of true heroism in them. I'd be a fool not to walk the same path as them, to help them continue becoming the kind of heroes Stain would entrust the future of the world to'. Shuichi was put under the guardianship of the Asui family, as his quirk had the same limitations and downsides as the family's frog-like quirks. Despite his worries they would not accept him, the Asui family welcomed him with open arms, with Samidare just being glad to have an older brother finally.

Tomura, or Tenko as he's going by again, along with his older sister Hana(who in my canon didn't die but instead temporarily lost her arm when Tenko grabbed her but survived thanks to her own quirk stopping the damage at her shoulder and re-growing the arm, leaving a rough scar around her arm up at the joint) are being watched over by Inko Midoriya and Toshinori Yagi, effectively having been adopted by the greenette mother. Inko always was a bit of a bleeding heart, so Tenko's story really got to her. Toshinori felt as if he had to be there for Tenko as well, as this was his mentor's grandson. Tenko himself is secretly a bit glad to be given this chance, and is slowly being more open about it thanks to Izuku presence along with Hana's.(To those curious, I made Hana's quirk be the opposite of Tenko's. So instead of destroying whatever all five fingers touch, Hana's quirk makes it grow. Given how it works, it was given the unfortunate name of Cancer, as it causes cells to divide in a fashion similar to cancer cells. This doesn't cause the cells to become cancerous though, as long as she keeps focus, so she is a very effective medic in the family. And yes, she did offer Toshinori to help heal most of the damage AFO did. He's still skeletal, but at least there's no more coughing up blood and he has some stomach now.)

Dabi was unsurprisingly released into his family's custody. The reveal that he was the believed deceased oldest brother Touya obviously made waves. Natsuo and Fuyumi asked him so many questions on how he survived and why he never contacted them, Shoto was just speechless, Rei was happy to see her eldest son again, and Enji? Enji, to the surprise of his kids especially Touya and Shoto, was crying. That's when he let it out, all the things he had wish he would have told Touya all those years ago, the things he should have told him if he had been stronger emotionally. He let his son know that he was sorry, for how he had treated him while training and for the way he had tried to make Touya stop continuing that reckless training. He knew words wouldn't fix the mental and emotional scars he had left on his eldest son, nor could they excuse what he did. Enji knew Touya wouldn't forgive him, not yet at least. All he asked, was for Touya to allow him to prove through actions that he would do better by his son. Prove to all of his family he would be a man worth being proud of. Touya's anger at his father was mostly extinguished thanks to his siblings telling him how their father had still trained Shoto, but was far less brutal about it. It was still grueling and intensive, but at least he was not letting Shoto hurt himself. Something Enji notes as him learning from how he failed to train Touya with that same compassion a father should have.

Jin Bubaigawara, while not having a foster family like the younger members of the League, is assigned as an assistant to Eraserhead. Or at least, that's how official documents have it. The program Jin is in was meant for vigilantes to become licensed heroes. As most vigilantes were active at night, most of them became underground heroes like Eraserhead(An underground hero is one that stays out of the spotlight of the news, and generally do their job at night when crime is ore frequent. They can be seen as the opposite to action heroes like All Might, who fight crime in the day where the news crews have more likely to cover the fights). Jin's quirk makes him very handy when it comes to laying traps and ambushes.

Magne also is documented as one of Eraserhead's sidekicks with Twice. Unlike Twice though, Kenji took a lot more convincing to accept the deal. She was a woman that wanted to be free to do as she wanted, so when Aizawa told her that underground heroes are basically able to make calls without needing to worry about consequences from the Hero Commission, so long as they just kept up on the paperwork all heroes had to do, it wasn't hard to believe she accepted. Kenji also sometimes makes appearances at UA to cover for Aizawa whenever he's called out during a school day. To say 1-A is excited when Big Sis Magne's heading up class would be an understatement.

Atsuhiro Sako is the third member of the League taking part in the vigilante rehabilitation program with Jin and Kenji. Unlike those two, Atsuhiro is under the supervision of Thirteen, as he is aiming for towards rescue for his end goal. His quirk is very helpful in rescue attempts, as compressed rescue targets are stabilized for the time they're in the marble, and his previous uses while part of the League show it can help reach those trapped easier. Atsuhiro is also a showman, so the underground life just did not suit his tastes.

Kurogiri is the only League member not going through rehabilitation. That is because currently, his mind is being attempted to be fixed. Upon Eraserhead and Present Mic being left to handle getting Kurogiri's cooperation, they made a startling discovery. The friend they had thought was long dead, Oboro Shirakumo, was alive right in front of them. This lead to what is happening to him now, an attempt to repair Oboro's mind and get him back fully. Only time will tell when he will be better. If he will get better.

Name: Dokuno Lee Kokoro

Alias: Doku

Face Claim: Uruha 

Age: 27

Species: Viper shifter

Special Abilities/Powers: Doku develops naturally occuring venom in his veins that can be transferred by a bite. HE has the ability to shift into a rare viper, as well as the natural enhanced senses and reflexes of a snake. 

History: Doku was the oldest Kokoro child, but he's now an orphan. His father was killed in a car accident as a kid and his mother killed herself when he was 11. Doku's little sister Yudokuna, was abducted and found dead just after Doku's 13th birthday, and after a year, his mother could no longer handle it. She drugged Doku and put him in a closet before setting the family home on fire. Doku only survived because he woke and crawled through a window. He was put in foster care, but he never really recovered from his mother trying to kill him. The trauma brought forward his shift and Doku had to adjust to the money left by his father's estate and his new found ablities. Music - namely playing guitar - helped him cope and feel balanced. He tried to live a normal life, but he struggled with his nature, as well as his opposition to cold. He bundled up quite often, and he met his friend Kevin, who was trying to make a band. Doku's natual talent made him the lead guitarist as he and Kevin wrote songs and searched for the missing pieces. Once they found it, the group of five became closer than brothers and worked for five years to get their band signed, to which they now tour with a growing fanbase.
