I was about to turn 50 on June 20, 2005, when I wrote the following:

“So…what is 50? What does it mean? Nothing? Death? A beginning? An end? I Dunno.

At 50, I will on 5/29/2006, have been lawyering half my life. 25 years.

Katie and Matt, hosts of the Today Show on TV, are both 47 or so. They herald the 50’s as the new 30’s.

I approach the New Years of life…50.

Now mid age 69, at the end of my 60s, I’d say the 60’s are the new 30’s. Just, a broader, richer version. I was much “older” when I was in my 50’s than I am now. I loosened up in my 60s, let go more and life has a more comfortable fit.

My gf was playing Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and really loves Team Aqua, and I went on Tumblr to look at Hardenshipping. It got me more into the ship. As for Metadede, I don’t know how that happened or why I developed a recent hyperfixation on Kirby. I’m guessing the music and then it led to lore videos and seeing Kirby Fighter’s 2 and Tumblr go wild. Basically if I see a ship over and over I start liking it sometimes lol, but not all the time. Also I’m a lover of goofy extroverted man who has trauma but needs someone to recognize it since despite all the people who know him, few truly know him AND silent introverted man who is also traumatized but doesn’t let people in easily except for who you would think would be the complete ANTITHESIS to the silent introverted man but it works somehow.

I love some old man yaoi! It’s nice to see old men in love. I lean more towards wholesome and romantic for old man yaoi since I see too many toxic and rough couples lol, it’s nice to switch it up with something soft. With how few queer stories there are compared to how many straight stories there are, and in many queer stories it focuses on young queer people in love, it can leave the impression that there’s no future for old queer people; that queer people are doomed to die young. Old man yaoi and old woman yuri are nice ways to counteract the narrative that queer people don’t get to live long. And even so, not realizing one is queer when young shouldn’t doom someone that they can’t find love if they want it. There’s many people who don’t realize they’re queer until late in life and that’s okay. Plus if one doesn’t find the love of their life young, they can still have just as fulfilling a relationship when older or old. It’s reassuring to know that no matter the baggage, how many ex’s you have, or how many kids you have, you can still find love but with someone who will love you back. You’ve let go of the restricting life of heteronormativity to find a life that you build yourself. It’s reassuring to know that no matter how painful or restrictive your childhood was, it’s not the end of you. Your past doesn’t define you. It may define the parameters of what you know or start with, but you can change for the better. Your youth gives you a blueprint but you can try to break free and become the person you wanted to be rather than what the people who hurt you said you are. No matter how many times it takes to learn, no matter how many fuck ups you do (excluding rape, murder, pedo, racism, etc), you will still be loved and find love. Just because your childhood or youth or midlife wasn’t the best doesn’t mean your aging years and near end of life won’t be the worst.

The short answer is that I love old man yaoi :3

i can see him being Overly motherly and that lending itself to being toxic but i don’t think he’d be like… antagonistically toxic! he’s deffo Mother (but i’m also of the firm belief that he’s extremely paternal to a fault and has both matriarch/patriarch of the family vibes……. he’s so Father to me i think his belief system even before defection was that of a very protective paternal dad) and also i think he’d be overly protective to a fault which would hinder his kids, and i also think canonically he also puts himself on a pedestal to his children which causes them to look at him as a messiah-figure… which is ofc majorly fucked up 😭 esp when nanako said “if he says white is black and black is white then that’s how it is.” like he’s a cult leader for a reason… actually now that i think abt it anon i’m agreeing more w the toxic sentiment 😭 it’s like… he has good intentions ig but they’re also so very twisted and not at ALL good to instill </3 like he’s not a good parent bc he made his daughters killers but then you have him have moments of genuine care/nurturing from him but yeah overall i think he’s not a good parent 😭 but also i think he recognizes at the same time that his children are their own people & make their own choices so he won’t dictate their life in THAT aspect bc i think he also DOES believe in free will… but he’ll just push them towards his version of free will in a way? idk if this makes sense but i think his toxicity comes in the form of major manipulation, gaslighting, over protectiveness, heavy nurturing to the point where it’s suffocating, and then i personally think he’d be the type of mom to baby his kid incessantly but also put them in situations where they’d need saving from him… idk he’s kinda fucked up sometimes 😭 this goes for canon cult geto & also just my personal version of toxic mom suguru

IMO christians should strike against nsfw art by creating a new genre of art of characters like joining monastic orders and performing christian services. it could be called like, nsfh (not safe for heretics). and the idea would be that you are supposed to look at this art while reflecting on god´s relationship with man. and there could be a website dedicated to this named like rule 77 and whenever there was a character design that seemed kinda christiany in vibe people would be like "damn there´s gonna be a lot of nsfh art of this one". this is the type of stuff id dedicate myself to if i was pope to be quite honest
