what are your thoughts on ziam & shiall

Oh god I hope I don’t get any hate from this.

I believed in Ziam as well as Larry. Ziam was a massive pairing back in the day, and a huge amount of larries also believed in Ziam, with “captain Niall” and his boys (I love this photo with my whole heart)

Liam was always so gentle with Zayn. He really seemed to take care of him, and paid special attention to make sure he was okay. He was so rough with Louis (and Louis right back at him), but so sweet and soft whenever him and zayn were next to each other, almost to a point of how gentle Louis is with Harry. Larry were obviously wrapped up in each other, exploring and experimenting and falling in love. They often just… were in their own world. We all know that, I won’t go further into it, but Ziam seemed to have something special too, more than a friendship.

I mean, I believe they all looked out for each other, but Liam in particular… I dunno. The way he touched Zayn, gazed at him, made him feel secure and more confident when they all knew Zayn was struggling with anxiety, it just was so beautifully… Soft. I believe they definitely had something going on there.

Let’s put it this way… you’re traveling the world, insanely busy with touring, recording, stunts, promo…rarely a day off. Worked to the absolute bone. But you and your 4 band mates are all in this together, right? You all understand how you feel. You’re not isolated in this experience, and you can find comfort in that, knowing your band mates will be there to hold your hand and keep you strong. It’s a bond like no other.

NOW, while you’re doing all this, you’re obviously deprived romantically and sexually. You’re a teenager/in your early twenties, for gods sake. You might even still be a virgin. And all you want is affection, love, and to, idk, get your rocks off sometimes without your own hand. It’s only human. AND even if you did have a partner outside of the band, they’re not always with you. You’re too busy flying everywhere, and they can’t go everywhere with you, so you’re going months in between having sex and intimate affection, with someone who doesn’t understand your life. You’re stressed trying to keep up a second life outside of the band where you can spend more time with your partner and actually be present in that relationship. But… you just can’t do it. You’re on the road so much, and texts and calls only go so far.

BUT you’re around your 4 other band mates alllllll the time. Who all understand how frustrating it is, and so you obviously show affection to them and help when it gets too much. Hell, sometimes it’s too much for you, but you’ve always been a super caring and loving person and you’re protective of these guys, but in particular, the one who’s struggling the most. You have cuddles, spoon sometimes, and show them that affection that a partner would. However… You don’t really think it’ll get much further than that. You’re straight anyway. You’re sure of it, so you’ll just keep using your own hand whenever you can get a rare bit of privacy for 5 minutes. But it becomes harder to do that when you’re sharing rooms and living on a bus and also… two of your bandmates are in a committed relationship. You’ve been watching them from the start, they made it work, and they always have that affection and those scratches you can’t itch because they’re always together. They’re not leaving a partner behind, they’re consistently getting that itch you can’t scratch. They’re in love.

SO anyway, you also hear… questionable… sounds coming from their hotel room/bunk/dressing room/bloody broom closet all the time. They’re late to things together, looking exhausted and flushed and they’re releasing that stress in a way that you don’t have. They have that connection you’re missing. They feel whole. They protect each other. So… if they can do that, why can’t you? They make it work. Hell, a quick handjob from your bandmate isn’t gonna hurt anyone, and you can release some stress together, and no one needs to know. You can excuse it as pals helping each other out. You’re still straight, after all. It’s just a bit of fun. You won’t fall in love with them, and you’ll still be buddies.

So, you’re having a snuggle with said bandmate, and one thing leads to another (I believe Liam would’ve initiated, personally) and it just kinda happens. It starts off with a quick handjob, and then escalates over time. You spend more and more time doing these intimate things, and you just kinda fall for each other. But, you’ve seen what happens when your bandmates have been wayyyyy too obvious to the GP and fans, so you keep it a bit more quiet. You try to, anyway (poorly). Maybe this feeling of love will pass… except it doesn’t.

Said bandmate then leaves the band. It’s all too much. They need to remove themselves as farrrr as possible from the chaos, and all the anxiety, health issues, and trauma it’s caused them. But you are still in the band. You love that band. So things just kinda… stop. Your bandmate cuts off contact. So you just, stick it out. Maybe try getting an outside partner to fill that gap, and maybe it works. And maybe it doesn’t. You were just kids after all, and they’ll always hold a special place in your heart. And you’ll hope that later you can reconnect. And maybe you do. that connection is so special that even if you’re just friends, it’ll always be there.

Anyway, that’s the hypothetical scenario that I believe happened to Ziam. Ziam fans have been staaaarrrrvvvveedddd since 1d broke up. They have barely seen any connection between the two, unlike larry who continued to be in the spotlight and show us they were still in love. I don’t believe Larry ever broke up, but I believe ziam did. But I’ve seen all the stuff about the Cartier bracelets etc., which is interesting, but I don’t really believe in them being together these days. Who knows? They might prove me wrong. I loved Ziam, so I’m kinda in the middle of yes they are, and no they’re not. Idk. It’s a tricky one without years of back and forth like larry have been doing.

Okay, Shiall.

Let me just say that I’m a Niall girl through and through. I adore all the boys, and have done for 13 years, and I am obviously particularly big on Louis now too, but this doesn’t affect my stance on Shiall.

To be honest with you, I don’t reaaalllyyy know that much about Shiall and why it’s such a massive ship. If you’re happy to send me some evidence or something, I’ll definitely have a look, and I saw the recent video of them together, but yeah. Idk. It’s just… not very believable to me. I believe niall may have experimented a bit in the band like they all did due to my reasoning above, but I don’t really have much of an opinion on his sexuality. If he’s bi, that’s awesome. If he’s gay, great. If he’s straight, that’s cool too. But I do lean more towards him being into women, and not men. Wasn’t there a belief that he was in a committed het relationship for like 3 years of one direction? That was super private? I dunno… maybe I don’t believe it because deep down it is because I’m a Niall girl, but… yeah. I don’t think Shiall is real.

So, in conclusion, thanks for reading this insanely long post.

I believe Larry is real 100%, Ziam was real but I don’t really think it is anymore, and Shiall is not real.

Shiall: New Love Songs on the Horizon 🎤🎶💘

Right? Right? So excited!

But I also looking forward to just how sappy and "heart -eyes " 😍 this album I know is gonna be is.

What's that?

How do I know, this album is gonna be the most in love album Niall has ever produced?

Let me share what I've observed a bit.

I've been thinking for awhile after listening to Wonder by Shawn, that Niall & Shawn are officially together. Like they are sure this is forever, together.

Wonder was all about how Shawn is secure and finally in a committed relationship with his partner. All the love and awe and just overall acceptance that this is his person, Shawn poured that in Wonder. I can feel it. You can hear it in his songs. Shawn is hopelessly gone for Niall. That will never not be true. Shawn knows it, told us about it, his love is pure and focused on Niall.

( 24 hrs, 305, Dream , it's always been you, piece if you, and teach me how to love, all point to this conclusion 👀) Shawn didn't write a single song about on/off hook ups on this album like his previous two: Shawn Mendes + Illuminate. I think it's safe to say, Shawn is sure.

Also, Niall made clear on Heartbreak Weather that he was done running and wanted to finally settle down and commit to a relationship that meant alot to him. ( San Francisco, black & white, Still ) all point to Niall Finally being sure about his relationship + being so sure with His Person too.

Which leads me to believe Niall's new NH3 album will explain in depth his love for Shawn since those are the feelings he is currently in.

Shawn wrote Illuminate, Niall responded with Flicker.

Shawn was going insane over their relationship with Shawn Mendes & Niall responded with Heartbreak Weather.

Now finally, being on the same page, finally c to being together, and sure about their love, Shawn gave us Wonder and I have no doubt, Niall is about to blow us away with how in love he sounds in NH3. 😭💘

It Must Be Love is Cleary a love song. Maybe it's about Niall expressing in vivid details and singing about how hopelessly in love with Shawn he is.

Must Be Love could be a response to Dream or Always been you I bet. That's what I'm thinking we'll see 👀

Maybe Niall's "Big Plans" is a response to Shawn's "24 hours". 🤔👀

Next is Big Plans. Big Plans sounds like it's about planning you future together. It also sounds like a song about all the ways Niall wants to make Shawn happy.

Building a future with the love of your life for the long haul is the vibes I'm getting from just the title.

Big Plans could be a response to 24 hrs. Or it could be a response to 305. 👀

Lastly, Satellite also sounds like a love song. The first thing I thought of was "Cecelia + The Satellite " song. The man who wrote it wrote it for his daughter. It's a song about keeping her safe and how he loves her so much.

Maybe Niall took inspiration from that. Maybe he will go a similar way, and express how Shawn is safe with him.

Also, Satellite 🛰 orbit right? Maybe Niall will express the idea that he orbits around shawn. Or how their love is all around him? 👀

No matter how Niall chooses to express his feelings, I know these songs will make me cry happy tears 😭💛💙

I'm calling it now. NH3 is a RESPONSE to Wonder.

Harry works at her family’s fabric store sometimes and always sells the most interesting fabrics to Louis. Louis is the wannabe fashion designer who keeps buying fabric she doesn’t necessarily need just to find a way to talk to Harry.

“Wagging tails,” Harry says, shaking his head.

“It’s because they don’t understand flirting,” Louis tells him, “you can’t charm them the way you do everyone else.”

Touch deprivation makes a lot of sense now that Harry thinks about it. Niall seems generally unwell; he appears to be weak, his skin is pallid and his lips look chapped, and his breathing is ragged. He’s wearing a cozy-looking sweatshirt, but even over FaceTime, he kind of seems cold, hunched over with his arms wrapped around his body. Harry’s never been around an omega in depri as bad off as Niall looks; most of the time, there’s an alpha friend or family member who can help out with scenting and physical contact.

“It’s not so bad here,” he admits. “Can’t get a bagel to save my life, but the people are friendly.”

Niall is a lawyer from the big city who’s sent to a small town to get paperwork signed for his firm’s biggest client. He only expected to be there for one night, but the longer his stay lasts, the more he starts to fall in love with the town and its cast of quirky characters.

It’s kind of their thing now. They make relentless snarky comments to and about each other and exchange meaningful eye contact every time they think no one is looking. At least, that’s what Louis thinks they’re doing, like their own extended lesbian mating ritual. It seems obvious to her that they’re inevitable in some kind of cosmic, grand design type of way; they’re eventually going to end up together and fix up an old house and Nick will build a chicken coop for the backyard (or hire someone to build it, probably) and then they’ll live happily ever after, bickering the whole time.

If only she could be sure that’s what Nick thinks they’re doing.

“Didn’t catch your name earlier?” he asks, tilting his head to go along with his lilting voice.

“Nnrg,” Nick replies smoothly, failing to meet Louis’ hand with his own as he realizes just how garbled his smooth reply actually was. He overcorrects and vaguely slaps Louis’ hand before managing to wring it in his own, much to Louis’ apparent amusement.

Carefree. Confident. Over the top. Nick may be a bit of a disaster, but no one can deny the mood for Leo season suits him.

It’s not until he’s inside the venue and sees Zayn from a distance for the first time in person since trying to fall asleep curled around him their last night together that the nerves hit and his bravado starts to feel false.

When Zayn left the band, he left Niall too.

I would have to say probably No One But You Got Me Feeling This Way but more because it’s open-ended.

6) What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

I feel like my first fic I Won't Give Up So Come And Get Me had the most complete, happy ending so maybe that one

7) Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

I don’t, no. I think other than turning a film into a fic, I can’t imagine it’s something I would go out of my way to do.

8) Do you write smut? If so what kind?

I do, usually, but I don’t think I’m all that adventurous with it?

9) Do you respond to comments, why or why not? I do, but I’m usually pretty behind with them as I get them so sporadically now that I haven’t posted a fic in a long time.

I’ve had some meh comments in the bookmarks, and twitter users have a horrible habit of rating fics out of 5 and I’ve had some low scores before which never feels nice.

11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes, and weirdly enough it was my least popular fic on ao3, Manipulate My Decisions which is my Shiall one! Someone posted it on Wattpad.

12) Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, I personally don’t allow translations

13) Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I have no idea how anyone co-writes a fic, honestly. I’d be too nervous to mess up their good work and too protective of my own at the same time.

14) What’s your all-time favourite ship?

Whilst my favourite person to write is Louis, when it comes to reading fic I will die on the Narry hill.

15) What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I really want to finish my Royal Doppelgänger fic that was meant to be my Big Bang for last year, but I got so out of my depth with it, I’m not sure if the 20K+ I have will ever see the light of day.

16) What are your writing strengths?

I like coming up with twists in the story.

17) What are your writing weaknesses?

Other than just general grammar and punctuation because I’m so bad at editing and re-editing sentences and paragraphs, I think I’m pretty weak at plot, in the sense that I feel like all my fics are quite one dimensional and just focus on the main characters relationship. I’d like to try and work on fleshing things out more with some actual plot/subplots/side characters etc so it feels more like a proper, well-rounded story rather than a meet-cute or something.

18) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

If I felt it was needed, I would try and find someone who spoke the language to help me.

19) What was the first fandom you wrote for?

One Direction.

I think probably my Advertising AU series, just because I’m so invested in those characters and have mentally planned out so much of their lives, I just haven’t written it yet!

like a bastard on the burning sea by vashtaneradas (22k, infedility) i have no idea why i ever thought that reading h cheating on l would ever do me any good, but here it is. beautifully written. this had me ugly crying and howling the first time i read it. can confirm i hated irl harry for a while after this. 

we’re not who we used to be by louistomlinsons @adoredontour (30k, sharing a bed, accidental cuddling, exes to lovers, road trip) i absolutely loved the ziam and shiall content, coupled with stupid louis. road trip AUs are very cool and if you like them as much as i do you should read this.

search and rescue me by wild halos (17k, alternate universe - high school, confinement?) this was one of the very few stuck together ones i’ve found and i ADORE it. super exciting. their chemistry is amazing. the things that can happen in a day ,,,, *chef’s kiss*

candles on air by isthatyoularry @isthatyoularry (29k, friends to lovers, unrequited love, angst, pining) i read this during physics and i honestly had to work so hard not to let my self-restraint break because i was exhausted by the end of this. the angst is top-tier. 10/10 would recommend.

but me, i’m not a gamble by orphan_account (33k, football player louis, famous harry, popstar harry, footie au, niall is friends with all the footballers) a lovely posh&becks au featuring a cameo from none other than david and victoria beckham. i love the slow build and how louis leads harry on but can’t live without him either. oh and niall is a smug bastard but what’s new. 

spin me like a record by zarah5 @zarah5 (8k, alternate universe- college/university, friends to lovers, fake/pretend relationship, happy ending) let me start by saying that this author is my absolute favourite and that everything she writes is GOLD. so much captured in just 8k. loved it.

counting the steps between us by zarah5 @zarah5 (24k, friends to lovers, pining, so much pining, also camping) this fic is a gem. i absolutely love the dynamic between them and how easily they fall into step with each other. louis is kinda a dick to harry but they end up happy, so, who cares. 

say that you can see me (i’ll speak up i swear) by coffeelouis (20k, college au, liberal arts college, photographer harry, soccer/football player louis tomlinson) harry is an oblivious idiot and louis is the fool pining over him. zayn is not bothered, except for when he is. wonderful fic. 

larry heartbreak by coinmaisy (47k, cheating harry, angst with a happy ending, it gets worse before it gets better, infedility, heartbroken louis tomlinson, implied/referenced drug use, alcohol) when i first read the summary i was like “what is 47k going to do to me?” huge mistake i promise. this was so exhausting to read and it literally felt like my partner had cheated on me. you really feel for the characters. kind of unconventional with the way they deal with it but beautiful nevertheless.

joke’s on our parents by larrycaring @mystupidamours (alternate universe- high school, louis has a twin named carla, coming out, sort of, closeted character) short and sweet, an extremely adorable read. i wish it didn’t end here! i’d kill for parents like that no joke

own the scars by crinkle-eyed-boo @crinkle-eyed-boo (144k, american au, drug addiction, drug overdose, larry is endgame, so don’t let the tomlinshaw scare you off, you’re gonna suffer, but you’ll be happy about it, lots of larry easter eggs) I AM BEGGING YOU TO READ THIS FIC, but more importantly, please please, READ THE TAGS. this had me ugly crying like crazy. this was very triggering for me but istg i don’t regret it. slow burn and angst and fluff and the jealousy,,, make this a must-read. even the memory of this fic gets me overwhelmed. incredible. ft. zouiall friendship that will most definitely make your heart melt.

teenage dreams in a teenage circus by orphan_account (50k, first time, coming of age, alternate universe- high school) gemma/perrie/louis friendship that i never knew i needed. louis falls in love with harry, which, awkwarddd. but this fic gave me major coming of age movie vibes and now i’m angry that i don’t have a childhood like this

Super random ask, but what are your thoughts (if you even have any) about Shiall? (Niall and Shawn Mendes). I don't know much about Shawn but I did find their relationship sorta sus? Mostly what got me was that people started shipping them after they started being all cute and shit together. But suddenly, Niall's in a PR relationship with Hailee Steinfeld and TBH they started having Shawn WAAAAAY overcompensate with his beard Camilla. And now they don't really interact in public much anymore. Idk, whole situation was odd to me and was just wondering if you had any thoughts on it (ur my fav Tumblrer btw :D)

I dont have many thoughts on shiall itself, mostly because I don’t pay much attention to shawn or his career. However I am able to recognize pr relationships when I see them, and I think there is a strong possibility niall and hailee and Shawn and Camilla were/are pr (definitely the former). I also do believe that Niall is queer and the overcompensation could have something to do with it. Again, I haven’t seen enough to be convinced of shiall but I really haven’t dug into it either.
