To get my one complaint out of the way:

The Young Avengers were not formed because "Hey there are multiple superheroes under the age of thirty"

They were formed because the Avengers were literally destroyed, and New York needed heroes

It was not this after school club

It was "there's so much villainy going on in this city, and Kang the fucking Conqueror is coming in three days. we are the only people with some link to the Avengers therefore we must stop this"

Eli became Patriot to honour his grandfather and fight crime

Teddy became Hulkling to protect people and figure out his identity

Billy became Asgardian/Wiccan to stand up for the little guy and to honour the Scarlet Witch

Kate became Hawkeye to beat up bad people and save the people with powers

Cassie became Stature to honour her father and carry on his legacy

Nathaniel became Iron Lad as an attempt to stop his evil future from coming to pass

Vision became a Young Avengers to honour Nathaniel and the original Vision

Tommy became Speed to right his wrongs

It was never "you're under thirty, I'm under thirty, wanna team up?"

I’m actually very interested to see if America will be there because I think the America that’s on the Ultimates at the moment will be revealed to be from Earth-616 since she’s an amnesiac in Ultimates. Maybe finding her is the plot of the new YA comic 🤷🏽‍♀️

i think the thing i hate most about how the MCU is going about the Young Avengers is that it's robbing all of them from their connections to each other, by having them already being (and practically complete) their arcs without each other

So these are my aesthetic boards for my version of the MCU young avengers (which making those is apparently my thing now lol). It's sort of an AU, but it's also part of the plan in my head for the MCU for the next like ten to fifteen years (don't judge me, I'm crazy). If you don't like any of these, please remember that these are just my opinions before you leave any rude comments. I would still love to hear anyone else's thoughts and opinions though!

These are their ages as of 2026 and I tried to make them as MCU accurate as possible. Obviously they age on my little timeline. Also I know Alex's comic pictures is actually James Roger's from the comics, I just needed a photo. Also also I know the things with the twins is confusing, but it's not really that important. I can explain if someone really wants to know though.

I can also drop more info on all the characters if anyone wants that. The timeline too.

While Sarkaz aging is generally weird, it always gets me that these two are of similar age:

Both of them were born over 200 years ago, around the time of Kazdel campaign of 898. At least it was established as far back as A Walk in the Dust that Banshees stay young for a very long time, and in Patriot's case we don't actually see his face...

But then we have stuff like 40+ Odda looking much younger than 30+ Hoederer:

Or 200+ Warfarin who doesn't look a day older than barely 20 W:

I guess, you can handwave Warfarin and Logos since they belong to ancient bloodlines and, based on backstory, Teekaz could live for a thousand years... But then Patriot should also look young-adult-ish under his helmet, and this thought is just cursed.
