I think referring to the James Somerton situation, or the hbomberguy and Todd in the Shadows videos in general, as "YouTuber Drama" is really underselling the level of academic dishonesty, intellectual theft, and malicious misinformation being discussed and spread by this man and others like him.

This isn't makeup gurus accusing each other of being inappropriate at a birthday dinner or a philosophy channel getting in hot water on Twitter for having a controversial queer celebrity do a voiceover line without fully vetting everything he's ever said.

It's large scale plagiarism and hundreds of thousands of dollars of profiting off other people's work without even credit.

(And 64k in scams. That too.)

And no, I didn't know who any of these people except Harry and Todd were until now, with the exception of MAYBE having heard of Internet Historian in passing, so I had that same "who even are these people" response as most of you.

People like James are why I cannot in good faith just Tell people my college major.

The contrast between these two thumbnails definitely shows Nondi’s (OwONekko) immaturity. As someone who used to watch and love her content, this is disappointing to see her doubling down and be mean/misgender a smaller YouTuber just because they made a video against AI. Girl should take a break from the internet, and I don’t mean a week, I’m talking about multiple weeks. Months even. She’s a grown ass adult attacking someone who’s half her age and yet she’s claiming they were immature first? Grow the fuck up, Nondi.

I’d like to add a small tidbit to the lily orchard drama. I’ve never interacted with her directly, but I recently found out that she blocked me sometime this month. The only reason this could be is because I’ve been actively liking posts and following people who critique her. MEANING she is looking through every single like/comment and actively blocking people on all the posts she can find. I just thought I would share that as I find it HILARIOUS.

Majorkill a fairly large warhammer dude started drama with another creator again and it got nasty real fast

Apparently a channel run by a woman was “plagiarism” him and her voice was slightly off sounding so he accused her of being a bot ai, stealing his content and of being a man pretending to be a woman

Now plagiarism is bad but we don’t know if that is true cause the videos are gone after his sizable audience decided to brigade, threaten and harass her so gotta set it aside as I couldn’t find anything in her available content

As for the bot stuff … doesn’t even sound like AI she just has an off sounding accent and there are so many ways to pronounce things in warhamner it really doesn’t sound right anyway and the channel doesn’t churn out content nearly fast enough to sync with what we know about ai farming accounts

She uses an ai generated pfp though that isn’t debatable but it’s a minor/annoyance more so than a crime or something I’m willing to mob a MFer over

But his audience doesn’t seem to care so much about that and more so got mad at the idea she is some “tourist” dude masquerading as a woman to “trick people” which is fairly gross and stupid cause who cares, why are people hyper focusing on and being weird about a woman in the hobby again god damn and why is her gender important

Majorkill is slowly becoming one of those guys who just accuses and attacks random nobody channels cause he doesn’t seem to know that weaponizing an audience is not a good thing and just burns bridges in an already toxic online fanbase

Not saying you have any bad intent, just saying that it's best to have receipts at the read when it comes to stuff like this.
