Did Ivan and Fedyor ever have, like, one of those big first fights where there is this uncertainty of "are we over now?" ? I mean, they would be alright in the end, but between Fedyor's overthinking and Ivan probably not having a lot of experience with relationships, there would be room for them worrying for a time after it.
Sequel to this and prequel to this. Set, as usual, in Phantom!Verse.
Moscow, 2013
June 30, 2013, is not a good day. In fact, it might be the worst of all the days of Fedyor Kaminsky’s life to date, and it is made absolutely no better by the fact that he’s long known it was coming – he just hoped, however vainly, that it wouldn’t. Three weeks ago, on June eleventh, the Duma unanimously passed the law formally entitled “For the Purpose of Protecting Children from Information Advocating For a Denial of Traditional Family Values,” with only one abstention and no dissenting votes, and President Putin is going to ceremoniously sign it into law today. It’s more pithily known as the “anti-gay law,” and it basically prohibits anything related to acknowledging that homosexuals exist in Russia. Fedyor has been anxiously following its progress with his activist friends in their group chats, all of them praying for some last-minute miracle to swoop in and knock it off course. Now that’s not going to happen. He has no idea what is going to happen, but to say the least, it won’t be good. He’s taken some body blows before, but this one sucks.
Fedyor vacillates wildly between wanting to watch the signing ceremony just to scream obscenities at it, and wanting to hide under the covers with the pillows over his head and cry. He texts frenetically with his friend Lyosha, who lost his position at Perm State University a few months ago for daring to do research about LGBTQ people, and is already planning to head into exile abroad. Does he have to do that too? Fedyor has lived in Russia his entire life, even if he has traveled internationally and has lots of foreign friends. He could stay. He could try to fight this thing somehow. He could do more. He should do more.
But how?
When Ivan gets home from work at six o’clock that night, that’s where he finds Fedyor: sitting on the living room floor under a quilt and neurotically eating chocolate biscuits, texting and crying. He drops his backpack and rushes over. “Fedya? Fedya! What’s wrong?”
“He signed it,” Fedyor says flatly. No more elaboration is necessary. “So now we’re fucked.”
Ivan looks troubled. He rocks back on his heels next to Fedyor and searches for the words. Then he says, clearly trying to be helpful, “Maybe not. Nobody has to know about us. If we just keep on like before, go about our daily lives, it will be all right. We are not important people. Why would they bother with us?”
“What?” Fedyor wipes his eyes with the back of his hand and lurches upright, shedding the quilt and a shower of cookie crumbs. “What are you talking about? Just – deny ourselves and go back in the closet and pretend we’re not here, that those assholes won? Go out, but make sure I never hold your hand walking down the street or dare to pretend that we are together? I don’t want to be afraid every second we’re out in public, Vanya! I don’t want to be wondering if maybe they’ll look at my emails or cook up some other reason to come after us! Lyosha already got fired before this even officially passed, and – ”
“Lyosha was a radical beforehand,” Ivan says dismissively. “It wasn’t because of this, I’m sure. So what? He’ll get a fancy position somewhere else. The West will love to take in the gay Russian, persecuted by the barbaric Putin regime, to show off how humane and enlightened they think they are. He will be fine.”
Fedyor looks at him as if he has two heads. “That’s how you’re reacting to this?”
“What am I supposed to do about it?” Ivan shrugs. “We have to make the best. What else are we going to do? Leave Russia?”
“Maybe we have to. What other choice do we have?”
“Stay?” Now it’s Ivan’s turn to sound like he’s talking nonsense. “Russia is our home!”
“Look, Vanya. I know you and I think differently about things, and we’ve gotten used to that. But I can’t – I physically cannot – stay in a place where I am criminalized for existing, for loving you, for being afraid that something will happen to us. We have to go.”
“No.” Ivan’s voice is colder than Fedyor has ever heard it. He sounds like a stranger. “No, we don’t. That’s crazy talk. Where would we go? America?”
“At least America doesn’t have this law!”
“America has no law that is helpful for us!” Ivan shouts. “And I’m not going there. The end! You make that choice, Fedya. Exile, or me?”
There’s a horrible silence in the wake of that pronouncement, as they stare at each other and Ivan instantly looks like he wants to bite it back, but it’s too late. Fedyor turns on his heel and marches away in frozen silence, refusing to utter a single word to Ivan for the rest of the night, even as Ivan tries to apologize and coax him into speaking again. Finally, taking the hint, he takes his things and silently goes to sleep on the couch, and Fedyor lies in their bed, staring at the ceiling and tossing and turning. Ivan didn’t mean that, right? Or maybe he did? Flee Russia, start a new life somewhere across the sea, but leave his boyfriend behind? Until recently, he thought Ivan Sakharov was the love of his life. Maybe he isn’t. Or even more terrifyingly, he is, and Fedyor will have to give him up anyway.
The rest of the week is just as bad. Ivan leaves early for work and keeps to himself when he gets home, while Fedyor starts Googling the U.S. asylum-claim process and reaching out to North American-based friends who can help with logistics. He spends hours on the computer, takes reams of notes, and doesn’t feel any better. Is he planning this for them or for him? He needs to answer that question like, now, and yet the prospect fills him with sickening dread. He cries himself to sleep with the bedroom door shut, and hears awkward shuffling in the corridor outside, like Ivan is listening and desperately wants to come in, but doesn’t think Fedyor wants him there. That’s even worse.
Finally, on Saturday night, Fedyor decides that they can’t go on like this. He drags himself out of his cave of blankets and cooks a nice supper, while Ivan goes for his usual afternoon workout at the gym, and when he comes back, he blinks. “Fedya? What’s this about?”
“We need…” Fedyor’s throat is a desert. “We need to talk about us.”
Those six little words are usually the kiss of death in any relationship, and he has no idea what’s about to happen next, but Ivan’s face wrenches in half like a torn piece of paper. He opens his mouth, shuts it, shakes his head furiously, and comes to a sudden and unassailable decision. With that, still in his gym clothes, he drops his bag and goes to one knee on the creaky wooden floor of their kitchen, in this humble sixth-floor Moscow flat that is the first place Fedyor ever knew pure and perfect happiness. “Okay,” he says. “How is this for a start. Fedyor Mikhailovich Kaminsky, will you marry me?”
Fedyor stares at him, utterly blankly, seized with the horrible fear that Ivan is making fun of him. “Have you – are you – are you serious?”
“Yes.” Ivan reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small box. “I wanted to do this in a different way, but maybe this is better. Fedya, I don’t – I can’t – I don’t want to live without you. I’ll even move to America if you want to. I’m no good without you. I can’t. Please.”
Fedyor continues to stare at him. Then finally he moves closer, as Ivan holds out the ring with a look of utter, silent entreaty, his heart wrung out and raw in his eyes. “Are you – ” Fedyor’s voice is a whisper. “Are you sure?”
“Yes,” Ivan says again, strong and steady. “More than I have ever been about anything.”
Fedyor starts to answer, and simply can’t. He starts to shake from head to toe, and Ivan scoots forward, still on his knees, and wraps both arms around Fedyor’s waist, burying his face in Fedyor’s stomach. Fedyor clutches hold of him and sinks down, the two of them barely making a sound. Finally, he whispers, “You hate America.”
“I don’t,” Ivan says. “Not really. But either way, I love you, Fedya. And I’m choosing that.”
Fedyor grips Ivan’s face in his hands and kisses him thoroughly, then remembers that he still technically hasn’t accepted his proposal, and he should do that. He holds out his right hand so Ivan can slip on the plain band, with the promise to buy him a nicer one once they get to wherever they’re going. He’ll help with arrangements, he promises. Whatever Fedyor needs him to do.
They board an Aeroflot flight, Moscow Sheremetyevo–New York JFK, on the evening of August 3, 2013, with all their worldly belongings either in the cargo hold or waiting to be shipped over by Fedyor’s parents. They hold hands in the terminal, unobtrusively, and when they get on the plane. And even as the jet engines roar into takeoff and the lights of his homeland fall away into the clouds for what might be the last time in who knows how long, Fedyor Kaminsky can’t help but feeling, once again, ready to start anew.

Game of Thrones Star Thinks New Prequel Isn’t Risky Enough
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
There was a time when a high fantasy series about dragons and zombies seemed like a risky proposition. It’s hard for many in the industry to remember that though in the wake of Game of Thrones’ enormous success during the 2010s as a cultural phenomenon—and The Walking Dead too. But star Peter Dinklage recalls those early days, as he sees the television industry desperately competing to copy Game of Thrones’ success, including HBO which is about to premiere a prequel series set in Westeros later this year: House of the Dragon.
In a sit-down interview earlier this week on Marc Maron’s podcast WTF, Dinklage commented on the new series while discussing his upcoming and buzzy reimagining of the Cyrano tale.
“I have an opinion,” Dinklage said (via THR) about House of the Dragon. And at Maron’s urging, he elaborated, “I think it is going to be a really good show. The director and producer of it worked on our show, and I think it’s going to be really fucking good. But they took a risk on our show, HBO did. They took a huge risk on our show. It was a slow start, but why don’t they do that again? This isn’t a risk. It’s a proven thing that works.”
It is true that Game of Thrones was a huge risk that almost didn’t happen—twice. In addition to convincing HBO to greenlight an ambitious and expensive project from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, two writers who had never worked in television before, much less as showrunners, the series’ first episode was reportedly so disastrous that it needed to be reshot from nearly top to bottom. And to make that happen, it needed to be approved by an entirely different set of HBO executives who inherited the troubled production.
In James Hibberd’s oral history about the making of the series, Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon, Benioff said, “HBO was very much on the fence” after seeing the pilot. “It’s a traditional thing at any studio that the last regime’s projects are going to be less appealing to the new regime. And this was a very expensive project.”
However, then-HBO programming president Michael Lombardo was ultimately impressed by the overall scope of what Benioff and Weiss were trying to build from author George R.R. Martin’s rich source material, and thus the network ordered Game of Thrones to series even without a usable pilot. The results of the gamble are of course self-evident with the series becoming one of the biggest television hits of the 21st century, and arguably the last “appointment viewing” TV series to attract tens of millions of viewers on the night it premieres each episode.
At the time, many were skeptical that a fantasy series—especially one as serious and adult-oriented as Game of Thrones—could work as prestige television or compete with the spectacle of Hollywood movies. Now Amazon is producing a Lord of the Rings television series with a $465 million budget, alongside their more amusingly “affordable” $80 million first season production of The Wheel of Time; Netflix has already greenlit a third season of The Witcher; and HBO’s House of the Dragon is just the first of several spinoffs from the Game of Thrones universe that WarnerMedia is developing for both the cable network and the streaming service HBO Max.
And yet, Dinklage, who won four Emmys for playing Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones, isn’t necessarily wrong to suggest that thinking outside the box is how you got something as groundbreaking and beloved as Thrones was in its heyday. It’s also what he and Maron attribute to the appeal of HBO’s current critical darling, Succession.
That said, Dinklage also notes he thinks a lot of the online disdain for the final season of Game of Thrones stems from people “not wanting to say goodbye to it.” Well, under HBO/WarnerMedia’s new strategy, nobody will be saying goodbye to Westeros for a very long time.

Trump Aides Aim To Build Gop Opposition To Afghan Refugees
Republicans face backlash for speaking out against Trump ahead of impeachment trial
WASHINGTON As tens of thousands of Afghan refugees fleeing the Taliban arrive in the U.S., a handful of former Trump administration officials are working to turn Republicans against them.
The former officials are writing position papers, appearing on conservative television outlets and meeting privately with GOP lawmakers all in an effort to turn the collapse of Afghanistan into another opportunity to push a hard-line immigration agenda.
It is a collaboration based on mutual conviction, said Stephen Miller, the architect of President Donald Trumps most conservative immigration policies and among those engaged on the issue. My emphasis has been in talking to members of Congress to build support for opposing the Biden administrations overall refugee plans.
The approach isnt embraced by all Republican leaders, with some calling it mean-spirited and at odds with Christian teachings that are important to the white evangelicals who play a critical role in the partys base. The strategy relies on tactics that were commonplace during Trumps tenure and that turned off many voters, including racist tropes, fear-mongering and false allegations.
And the hard-liners pay little heed to the human reality unfolding in Afghanistan, where those who worked with Americans during the war and many others are desperate to flee for fear they could be killed by the new Taliban regime.
This Retiring Republican Just Handed More Power To Donald Trump
I dont believe he can ever be president again, Gonzalez told The New York Times of Trump. Most of my political energy will be spent working on that exact goal. Of the broader GOP, Gonzalez said. politically the environment is so toxic, especially in our own party right now.
Know what else is true? That Gonzalez, by retiring from Congress, hands Trump yet another win, a further demonstration that crossing the former president always ends badly for those who do it.
Gonzalez, a former star wide receiver at Ohio State University, was widely seen as a rising star in the party both in the state and nationally when he was elected in 2018. But unlike the vast majority of his House Republican colleagues, Gonzalez never gave over to the utter fealty demanded by Trump. And in the wake of the January 6 riot at the US Capitol, Gonzalez was one of 10 House Republicans who voted with Democrats to impeach the President.
Gonzalezs decision to walk away rather than fight back will be taken a win by Trump and his forces. In fact, the president was already busy taking a victory lap Friday morning.
So while Gonzalezs retirement is being touted in some circles as an act of principle, the practical political effect of his decision is the opposite.
Weve learned the wrong lesson as a party, Gonzalez told the Times, but beyond that, and more importantly, its horribly irresponsible and destructive for the country.
His retirement empowers those irresponsible and destructive forces.
Republicans Who Voted To Convict Trump Face Censure At Home
North Carolina Senator Richard Burr is the latest to be censured by local Republicans for his impeachment trial vote.
State Republican leaders in North Carolina voted to censure Senator Richard Burr over his vote to convict Donald Trump during last weeks impeachment trial, making Burr the latest to be rebuked for opposing the former United States president.
Burr, a third-term North Carolina Republican who has said he does not plan to seek re-election in 2022, was one of just seven out of 50 Republican senators to vote to convict Trump for inciting his supporters January 6 attack on Congress, which left five people dead.
The North Carolina Republican Party Central Committee voted unanimously to censure Burr, saying it agrees with the strong majority of Republicans that the effort lies outside the United States Constitution.
Trumps second Senate impeachment trial concluded on Saturday with a 57-43 vote in favour of convicting. The tally fell short of the two-thirds needed to secure conviction.
North Carolina Republican Chairman Michael Whatley condemned Burr for voting against the former president, calling the move a shocking and disappointing abdication of his duty to voters.

This time, there will be more. Some Republican senators have called on Trump to resign, and even Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he is undecided at this point.
Trump’s impeachment won’t lead to his removal even if he is convicted because of the timeline. The Senate is adjourned until Tuesday. The next day, Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president. But there’s another penalty the Constitution allows for as a result of a Senate conviction that could be appealing to some Republican senators banning Trump from holding “office” again.
While there is some debate as to the definition of “office” in the Constitution and whether that would apply to running for president or even Congress, that kind of public rebuke would send a strong message that Republicans are ready to move on from Trumpism.
Republican Leaders Start Making Sense Although In Small Numbers
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joe Biden won Michigan in the 2020 elections by a large margin. Despite this, the Republican leaders led an investigation trying to find discrepancies in the election but found nothing.
Michigans GOP-led Senate is now all against Donald Trump. Michigans Senate Republicans issued a report calling Trump claims outright deception.;
Even though state Republicans have rebutted Donald Trump, they continue to support new voting laws in the State. This depicts that voter suppression is not only a Trump priority but the Republicans agenda.
Then came the heroics of the former Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson, who co-authored a report about the Arizona election recount and criticized it, saying the contractors were inexperienced and unqualified.
Trumps former attorney general William Barr, a hardline supporter of Donald Trump, who was forced to resign due to his failure of unfolding the Hunter Biden controversy before elections, also criticized Trump to a large extent. The erstwhile ally of Trump heavily criticized Trumps claims saying, It was all bullshit.
If a highly conservative Republican like Barr is not buying the theories of Trump, the ideas must have something controversial in them.
Texas and Florida governors are the in full motion to promote Trumps America first vision in their respective state with voter suppression laws, anti-immigration rhetoric and enhancing guns rights

Trump Celebrates Retirement Of Gop Congressman Who Voted For His Impeachment
Former President Donald Trump celebrated the retirement of a Republican congressman who voted for his impeachment, as the GOP continues its purge of those who have pushed back against lies surrounding the 2020 election.
Rep. Anthony Gonzalez, R-Ohio, told the New York Times he would not be running for reelection in 2022, citing threats to his family and a tough primary race against a Trump White House aide challenging him who has the former presidents endorsement.
I dont believe he can ever be president again, Gonzalez told the Times, referring to Trump. Most of my political energy will be spent working on that exact goal.
The outgoing congressman, who turns 37 this week, called Trump a cancer for the country.
Gonzalez was one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump for his role in the violence of Jan. 6. He is the first of those Republican lawmakers to announce his retirement.
A former star wide receiver at Ohio State University, Gonzalez said in a Jan. 13 statement after his vote that Trump helped organize and incite a mob that attacked Congress and abandoned his post while many members asked for help, thus endangering all present.
In the immediate aftermath of the vote, Jim Renacci, chair of the Medina County Republican Party in Ohio, told BuzzFeed News he was slammed with residents calling for Anthony Gonzalez to step down, be recalled, and/or primaried.

A recurring nightmare among millions of Americans is that come 2024, Donald Trump will forget the fact that he actually hated being president, decide to run again, and win. Seriously, can you think of a more horrifying scenario, except perhaps falling through a sidewalk into a rat-filled chasm,;which some people might still prefer? We maintain that you cannot. But an equally terrifying, skin-crawling situation would definitely be to turn on the TV on January 20, 2025, and see Donald Trump Jr. being sworn in as president of the United States, which a number of Republican voters apparently actually want to happen.
The poll, which was conducted between July 6 and 8, did not include Donald Trump Senior, who maintains an inexplicable grip on voters despite the mass-death stuff, an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election, and a mental state that suggests he should be in a home or studied by a team of Swiss doctors.
And the fact that Don Jr. came out on top is not where the scary news ends. Because apparently if Republicans cant have Sheep Killer over here, their second-favorite choice is Florida governor Ron DeSantis, the man currently responsible for this:

Burr, who has said he will not seek re-election, had previously voted to dismiss the impeachment trial on constitutional grounds. Burr’s term expires in 2022.
“I have listened to the arguments presented by both sides and considered the facts. The facts are clear,” explained Burr in a statement.
“By what he did and by what he did not do, President Trump violated his oath of office to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States,” he explained, adding that he didn’t come to “this decision lightly.”
Supreme Court Goes Bonkers So Do Republican Governors
2 Times In 2 Days Republicans Vote Against President Donald Trump | The Last Word | MSNBC
Nonetheless, those in influential Republican circles, who are actually in a position to bring Donald Trump to justice, are still mostly denying the admission of his guilt.;
The reluctance to establish a January 6 commission is a classic example in this regard.
The Republicans bid to entertain voter suppression laws in different states, following Trumps footprints, also decries the same.
While Democrats control the White House and the national legislature, Republican governors in different red states are introducing sweeping measures to second his agenda.
Republican governors such as Greg Abbott from Texas and Ron DeSantis from Florida are as conservative as Trump. Recently, the Texas governor signed seven laws, enhancing gun possession laws, proclaiming to protect the second amendment.
The Florida governor also banned local government officials from further regulating guns in the state.
Expansion of guns rights is not the only way the governors are trying to please the former Republican president.
In fact, their policy approaches towards immigration, social media, and voter suppression laws also depict their will to compromise the national interest at the expense of promoting conservatism.
The top US justices of the United States are also playing their part to extend conservatism at the national scale.;
The top bench, manned by Donald Trump, recently failed to protect the voting rights of marginalized groups.

Will Not Support Trumps Re
Former President George W. Bush: Although he has not spoken about whom he will vote for in November, people familiar with Mr. Bushs thinking have said it wont be Mr. Trump. Mr. Bush did not endorse him in 2016.
Senator Mitt Romney of Utah: Mr. Romney has long been critical of Mr. Trump, and was the only Republican senator to vote to convict him during his impeachment trial. Mr. Romney is still mulling over whom he will vote for in November he opted for his wife, Ann, four years ago but he is said to be sure it wont be the president.
John Bolton, the former national security adviser: As he rolled out his recently published book, The Room Where It Happened, Mr. Bolton said in multiple interviews that he would not vote for Mr. Trump in November. He added that he would write in the name of a conservative Republican, but that he was not sure which one.
Gov. Phil Scott of Vermont: Mr. Scott has said multiple times this summer that he will not be voting for the president, a position that he also took in 2016. He says he has not yet decided whether or not he will vote for Mr. Biden.
William H. McRaven, a retired four-star Navy admiral: Several Republican admirals and generals have publicly announced they will not support the president. In an interview with The New York Times, Admiral McRaven, who directed the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, said, This fall, its time for new leadership in this country Republican, Democrat or independent.
Gop Leader Mccarthy: Trump ‘bears Responsibility’ For Violence Won’t Vote To Impeach
Some ambitious Republican senators have never been as on board the Trump train as the more feverish GOP members in the House, and the former might be open to convicting Trump. But their ambition cuts two ways on the one hand, voting to ban Trump opens a lane to carry the Republican mantle in 2024 and be the party’s new standard-bearer, but, on the other, it has the potential to alienate many of the 74 million who voted for Trump, and whose votes they need.
It’s a long shot that Trump would ultimately be convicted, because 17 Republicans would need to join Democrats to get the two-thirds majority needed for a conviction. But it’s growing clearer that a majority of the Senate will vote to convict him, reflecting the number of Americans who are in favor of impeachment, disapproved of the job Trump has done and voted for his opponent in the 2020 presidential election.

Gop Primary Challengers Line Up Against Texas Gov Abbott Despite Trumps Endorsement Yahoo News
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has $55 million banked for his re-election campaign, a 73 percent approval rating among Republicans, and an endorsement from former President Donald Trump.
And, thanks to restrictive abortion and voting bills Abbott has signed in recent months, Texas has become an epicenter of the national conservative causes that rally the GOP base.
None of that, though, has stopped a crop of critics including Allen West, a former Florida congressman with a right-wing following who briefly served as the Texas GOP chairman from announcing plans to challenge Abbott in next years primary.
Their complaint isnt so much that Abbott is not a conservative. Its that hes not the hard-line conservative they believe that Texans crave particularly when compared with some Republican peers and their hands-off approach to the coronavirus pandemic.
Hes not Ron DeSantis, and hes not Kristi Noem, one veteran of Texas GOP politics said, referencing the governors of Florida and South Dakota whove upped their national profiles by resisting extended lockdowns, mask and vaccine mandates and other restrictions to limit the spread of Covid.

They dont have any money, they dont have any fundraising ability, said John Wittman, Abbotts former communications director who now runs a public affairs firm in Austin. They are all fighting over the same 10 to 12 percent of Republican primary voters.
The primary challengers have other grievances.

The House of Representatives has voted to impeach President Donald Trump — making him the only president in American history to be impeached twice.
Unlike his first impeachment in 2019, 10 Republicans joined Democrats to charge Trump for the “incitement of insurrection” for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol with a final vote of 232-197.
Some Republicans may have feared for their own safety if they voted for impeachment, Rep. Adam Kinzinger, one of those who voted against Trump, said. Kinzinger told ABC’s “Powerhouse Politics” podcast that some members of his party are likely holding back from voting for impeachment due to fear of highlighting their own participation in supporting the president’s false claims of election fraud.
Democrat Jason Crow, of Colorado, relayed similar thoughts in an interview with MSNBC on Wednesday morning.
“I had a lot of conversations with my Republican colleagues last night, and a couple of them broke down in tears talking to me and saying that they are afraid for their lives if they vote for this impeachment,” he said.

Trump and the events that transpired today
It's AM as I start writing this journal, likely past 5 AM once I finish it. I'm tired after today and don't know to what extent I can be fully coherent, politically and socially correct, or whatever else I'm supposed to about what happened. But after the events that took place today I need to speak up. I am sick, feeling I have had it... but for once it's on a matter I can discuss with others in this world, shared by millions of people. Even though I'm nervous to even talk about it as the divide keeps growing; I don't know on which of those websites even journals discussing politics will still be allowed by the administration, I already have a hard time keeping track of the different rules on each of the +8 websites I post anything on... as far as I'm aware we're still allowed to discuss for now.
I don't know exactly who the people that invaded the Capitol building today were. Many say it was Antifa protesters disguised as Trump supporters; I find it hard to understand why they'd interrupt the crowning ceremony of their lover Biden if they were already winning, but who knows at this rate. The people who initially walked in there were likely Trump supporters, with Antifa coming later to start violence so they could say Trump did it. A woman was shot in the neck and unfortunately died soon after, no footage showing who did it yet... scary stuff but it's to be expected given the times we're living in, RIP.
I will start by saying the following thing: I was NEVER a real Trump supporter, and I likely never will be. I'll share a little secret: In 2016 when I first heard he won, I fell in a depression for the entirety of the next day, fearing that he was going to bring about the end of the free and modern world that seemed to be going well till then. And in some ways I was right: Bullshit like SESTA / FOSTA and the repeal of Net Neutrality and other garbage happened under his leadership. But things have changed SO much since that day. The true liberals and progressives I once knew and was proud of being among no longer exists: The left's tolerance has been replaced with hate and fascism, their love for freedom with "freedom as long as we aren't offended or our narratives challenged", even the free internet they once praised is now seen as a tool of "spreading hate and misinformation" unless guided by their censorship regime. No matter how difficult this was for me, I had to accept that only Trump and some of the people around him are still fighting for REAL freedom... putting aside some religious or "think of the children" bullshit the Republicans can't let go of; Freedom to think and say what you want, to live your life as who you are, to go outside without having to wear a god damn mask and breathe like a fucking sapient being that still has any right to live! I don't care that much about either left of right doctrine... all I truly wanted was to be free, to live in a world where everyone minds their own business without using fear and prejudice to control others. I'm also not a patriot as one way or another I believe in a world where people are just citizens of the planet and countries are mainly different legal / cultural zones... I do however believe in a movement to support the people of the world, even if that's currently dressed under patriotism.
Today I watched Trump's speech before the Capitol was stormed. I literally saw and felt a different man from that fool I too once hated and demonized. And I hated him for good reason: He still hasn't denounced his wall of hate (the Mexico border wall bullshit), never had the will or bravery to openly defend the LGBTQ community and distance himself from those supporters that oppose them, attacked Section 230 which is unacceptable despite his justified war against big tech and the corrupt media... I am and will remain outraged at those things about him, he was no ideal example. But you know what? He's not the demon the media makes him out to be either. And as much as I HATE to say this... he is a hero in his own way: For having the courage to fight the biggest organized crime network in the history of humanity... one known as globalism. THAT is why some people turn to him while others want him to look like the devil: Not because they're fascists but because he stood up against a problem everyone else is one way or another a part of, a problem you can't even talk about without being called a conspiracy theorist and raving nut, a frustration many of us feel yet is only deepened by this denial instead of anyone ever addressing it.
Let me be very clear on an essential thing: I'm well aware there are real neo-Nazis, xenophobes, racists, misogynists, transphobes, puritans, psychopaths, etc. in Trump's circles. Yes they are pests, and I too will smite those fools if they try to use Trump (or any other means) to impose their own bullshit on this world! The vast majority of Trump supporters I've seen have nothing to do with this hate: I've watched livestreams from dozens of Trump rallies by now, have only seen decent and peaceful and creative people dancing and having fun... unlike some Antifa and BLM rallies which are far more aggressive by comparison. It's always the media transmitting from those protests, journalists putting up theatrical scenes about how they're surrounded by dangerous extremists on their crusade to find the Proud Boys hiding in the crowd. There were at least 1 MILLION people supporting Trump in Washington DC today, kilometers of street filled with people. Including countless black people who were allegedly discriminated by him, who will also tooootally die from COVID tomorrow because they didn't respect social distancing... did I forget to mention the pro-LGBT flags being waved at those rallies? Really: Is anyone trying to tell me those are all evil intolerant whatever-phobic lunatics? Because I'm not going lie to myself because the media decided what we have to believe: The traitorous brainwashing media can go to hell, together with big tech and especially big pharma after what they did to the world with COVID.
I also watched dozens of livestreams from courts, of proof being presented regarding the massive election fraud that put Biden in office. There is no such thing as "there was no fraud", there were hundreds of testimonies under oath some with footage and documents; Courts simply refused to see the evidence or decided to ignore it citing procedural grounds... because like everything else, the globalist octopus (mafia reference) owns the justice system and every part of society. Dominion voting machines were programmed to default to Biden votes, they were designed with the mindset "here's a big button to vote for Biden... because you don't really want to vote for Trump do you, though if you really want to I guess you can click here". And other forms of manipulation that ultimately caused Biden to get MILLIONS OF VOTES OVERNIGHT, which is so normal and definitely not suspicious at all.
Now that the brave and mighty police secured the Capitol building and drove those pesky citizens away, senators led by lowlife-by-profession Mike Pence resumed their session of shoving Biden down our throats at any cost (sadly not in a fun vore way). I watched their vomit inducing speeches as they went on about how they're sticking to their duties in such difficult times, and how those thugs who entered the building tried to stop them but failed. This will only add to the frustration, which they don't even realize or care about: They know all too well what their duty is... to sell the world to those who are desperate to have UNLIMITED POWER AT ANY COST. Their decision was fueled by sheer stupidity and ambition, and will only ensure that if Biden is allowed to become president he'll only be even more illegitimate than he already was. After such a shock there was no way any valid session could continue, no one is in the capacity to count electoral votes and certify a fucking president right now after today... they haven't even cleaned up the fucking blood from the staircase! An absolute disgrace.
But fear not: There are people who will stop this, people who won't allow this hell to come true. They aren't racists, homophobes, psychopaths... the media will no doubt paint them as such, and many will believe the lie, but with the same force others are seeing the truth now more than ever. They think China's authoritarian domination can be forced on us, just as their Covidist masks, or their censorship in the name of stopping hate, and everything else the globalists decided must be forced upon the planet. They have no idea how badly they're furthering this divide: The hate and sickness on both sides has reached a point where riots and tragedies are going to be unavoidable. Of course they tell themselves "we're gods on this Earth so we'll be able to control it", they're used to thinking they can hold unlimited power and nothing they do ever has any consequences. The truth will strike, the more you keep the pot on the kettle the harder it will explode once it blows off: All they did today was ensuring it will strike even harder. Save this journal if you wish, so you can remember those things for future reference, to know that some fool out there and in this community saw this and wasn't afraid to say it.
Whatever you think of me, believe me when I say this: I truly am sorry that it had to come to this... on multiple scales. I don't know if many friends that I do care for will ever understand me... such as a certain purple furred vixen, or a kind albeit sometimes rough unicorn who is one of my soul parents, not to mention a very close fox working on building a lab and bringing genetic transformation to life; They all more or less believe some of the official narratives, and I feel barely tolerate me for not doing the same. If there was another way to see the world and live this life, I would have taken it. If something would have been different in the past and led to a different outcome, I could be living a life of standing with the majority instead of against it... something I wish I knew what was like, I never did, I can only presume it must be peaceful and relaxing to live in such a world, but I'll likely never experience it as I don't have the naivety for such a leap. I'm sorry it's like this. And my only wish is that all of you will get to see who truly made it like this once all the lies are exposed! Whatever happens, whether it will be Biden or Trump in the end... please let what they did be exposed.

Welcome back to my review series for Shadow Over Seventh Heaven, the second novel by Ian Martin, original headwriter for Strange Paradise and second most prolific writer for CBS Radio Mystery Theater, published under the name of his second wife Joen Arliss. It’s been two and a half weeks, and I have been dying to go back to recapping this not-quite-rare-but-close piece of Martiniana.
In Part I, we learned of the late April Tennant, legendary star of the silver screen, whose glamorous life ended suddenly when she fell from the cliffs on her home estate of San Rafael. We also learned of her husband Richard Morgan, a legendary actor in his own right, and met his overly attached sister Lisa, who is not pleased by his recent remarriage, and Chita, their very Raxl-esque servant who clings to April’s memory. In this installment, we will meet Richard and his new wife, Jenny, themselves as they return from the Philippines to the former Spanish mission which may or may not be haunted by the spirit of his first wife.
Chapter 3
We open with our heroine, Jenny (née Summers), and her new husband Richard at the Manila International Airport, where paparazzi are hounding them. “She had seen [crowds] at fiestas, at rallies for President Marcos or even his opponents [1], at rush hours, church holidays, national holidays. The Philippine Islands abounded in inland fish, and in rice, but most of all, in people. But she had never seen a crowd quite like this” (p. 22). She is a little frightened, but Richard, for whom this is apparently a regular occurrence, tells her to keep moving until they get through the sea of people--which, given the current circumstances around the globe, sounds like a nightmare even though this book takes place about forty years ago.
A reporter starts to interview her and reminds her, almost right after their marriage, that she is replacing the legendary April Tennant:
“Mrs. Morgan--you are the envy of most every woman in the world as well as here in the Philippines. How does it feel to be Mrs. Richard Morgan the second?”
“You don’t have to answer,” Richard said protectively.
“But I want to,” she said. “It feels marvelous! I’m the luckiest woman in the world!”
“Aren’t you a little afraid?” the young man persisted.
Jenny wasn’t going to admit that to a stranger.
“Why should I be afraid?” she said.
“You are replacing a very exceptional woman.”
Now the noose of fear tightened around her neck, so that momentarily she could not answer. It was Richard who did for her.
“My first wife is dead,” he said with barely repressed anger. “For God’s sake let April rest in peace. For her own sake as well as ours. Now please--we have a plane to catch” (p. 23).
They leave him and hounding turns to harassing as rabid Richard Morgan fans begin reaching for them, tearing off pieces of her collar and the Filipino-style flower appliqué on her skirt and stealing Richard’s pocket square. “It was a good-natured, adulating adoring crowd,” the narration insists, “but like every mass of humanity, a possibly dangerous and uncontrollable force” (pp. 23-24). Sorry, narrator, but to me, it still sounds like a COVID nightmare--literally. I’ve had nightmares about this kind of thing for months. Generally, I try to avoid writing about current events on here because I don’t consider it appropriate for a blog about escapist Gothic melodrama, but this scene reminds me of some of my recent dreams.
Anyhow, the crowd and the reporter only reinforce Jenny’s feelings that she’s already in April’s shadow. Before Richard took an interest in her, she was only the daughter of an obscure American ambassador, not even an actress like April. She just got married and already she is having second thoughts, and not because of her husband:
Then that miserable worm of fear began to gnaw at her again, and she so desperately didn’t want to face the truth. But the words said themselves inexorably to her, marching across the inside of her eyelids as though chiseled on some granite rock that revolved before her inner sight, or burned so deeply on an indestructible tape that they could never be eradicated. The trouble is April Tennant. The woman the whole world revered and loved. They only wanted to see Jennifer, weigh her, find her wanting. They knew nobody could replace April--and that nobody had the right to try. Only without realizing what she was getting into, Jenny had done it. For once, she was the big attraction. But they didn’t think she could measure up, and she wasn’t sure she could herself. How had she ever thought she could? (pp. 24-25)
As they head for their flight, a crowd of “smiling brown people” cheer for them to return, and one little Filipina girl even chases Jenny down to give her “a woven garland of sampaguita flowers” (pp. 25-26). I must admit that I don’t know much about Filipino history, but I have trouble imagining that a crowd of Filipino people would cheer on the (presumably white) daughter of an American official who, given U.S. foreign policy at the time, would have backed Marcos’ repressive regime. Do I believe that they cheer for an international celebrity like Richard? Yes. Would they want to wish him a happy marriage? Probably. But I can’t imagine them liking Jenny much, for reasons that have nothing to do with April Tennant.
Chapter 4
This chapter begins with a description of Richard Morgan’s appearance that is an entire page long:
His mouth was full, the lips unusually red, with just the slightest quirk in repose which suggested sardonicism...The nose was classic, intriguingly flawed by some old injury...The eyes were brown, so dark that they were almost black, smoldering under somewhat sullen brows...His hair was a great, tousled, tawny mane, unruly, and resistant to brush or comb. His eyebrows had a fierceness about them that seemed to challenge anyone to cross swords; but this aggressive effect was completely belied by the way one or another would twitch and cock upward as though laughing at the world--or perhaps himself. His chin was probably too prominent, but again the feeling of overconfidence and overwhelming strength was softened by the deep cleft in the middle of it that broke the uncompromising line. He was not a tall man--perhaps an inch under six feet--but he carried himself with the lithe balance of a jungle animal or a trained athlete, and there was hardly anyone who did not think of him as tall and powerful. He was a man who even in repose radiated a sense of kinetic and tireless energy (pp. 29-30).
Tumblr media
Richard Morgan, according to the cover artist.
Honestly, I was disappointed the first time I read this passage because he doesn’t much resemble Colin Fox. Virtually the only features the two have in common are the nose and the way they carry themselves--and (if we are talking about Jacques’ portrait) the lips. I always find it interesting how male authors describe the male characters whom others in the story find attractive, especially when said author is straight and writing for a female audience. Therefore, this is likely Ian Martin’s idea of what an incredibly handsome man looks like and/or his idea of what the average straight woman wants.
That, in turn, makes me wonder if this is how he visualized Jean Paul Desmond and his lookalike ancestor Jacques Eloi des Mondes, especially given that most of the other characters (and many fans, myself included) see them as incredibly handsome. Richard does have several facial features in common with John Bayliss, the actor originally cast in those roles, but there isn’t any evidence to suggest that their resemblance is anything more than a coincidence.[2]
Tumblr media
The SP character whose appearance Richard’s description most closely matches, the Reverend Matthew Dawson. Lacks the unruly tawny hair and the sardonic lips and doesn’t carry himself like Richard, but the eyes are similar and they have the same chin. Not ugly (Dan MacDonald was better-looking IMO than the guy on the cover), but also not my idea of male perfection.
While relaxing on the plane, Jenny allows herself the luxury of thinking about herself instead of Matt Dawson’s tawny-haired twin. We learn that her name isn’t actually Jennifer--which contradicts the passage above where she calls herself that--but just Jenny, and that her parents named her after Jenny Wren from the (surprisingly dark) nursery rhyme “The Wedding of Robin Redbreast and Jenny Wren.” She relates in particular to the part where the wren says “I must wear my plain brown gown / And never go too fine,” because she dislikes not just putting on airs, but thinking about herself, period, which she attributes  to her strict upbringing. She’s almost cartoonishly modest, which is pretty typical of Gothic ingenues and of Linda Barclay, the protagonist of Martin’s earlier “romantic suspense” book, Nightmare’s Nest, who was even more so.
We flash back to the evening she met Richard, who was apparently an old friend of Nene Ilusorio, one of her late father’s friends who became her close companion following his death in a helicopter crash. At that time, April was not yet dead, so Richard had to keep his dates with Jenny secret. They traveled out to the mountains together, where she showed him the rice paddies the locals constructed on the mountains with their irrigation system and where he won her heart by quoting Robert Burns’ poem “My Heart’s in the Highlands.” Apparently women find men who like Robert Burns irresistible, at least according to this and the Kitty Soames storyline on Dark Shadows. I can’t confirm, though, because no man has ever quoted Burns to me or given me a book of his poems.
Chapter 5
A filler chapter about Jenny and Richard’s flight from Honolulu (where they had a layover) to San Francisco. I got excited at one point when Richard said, “We had a picture half done that had to be scrapped because of her death” (p. 46), thinking at first that he was referring to the portrait and being reminded of two certain other portraits of a certain character from Strange Paradise. But then I realized, no, he means “picture” as in “movie,” not as in “painting,” and got disappointed. We also learn that Richard has an encyclopedic knowledge of all the classic poets and playwrights, not just Robert Burns. In a flashback, Richard recites Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s poem “How do I love thee?” for her in his amazing voice, leaving her “drunk on love” and “drunk on all [the poets to whom he introduced her]” (p. 54). If he sounds anything like Colin, I can understand why she’s so seduced by him reading poetry. Even so, if I were her, I wouldn’t be able to get past the fact that he’s quoting other people instead of using his own words to convey his love. If Jean Paul could come up with something new to say to his frozen wife four days a week for a month, then surely Richard can as well. He's just being lazy--or is he? The back cover (”WHAT LAY BEHIND THE MASK OF LOVE?”) hints at some possible deception on his part.
Chapter 6
Jenny and Richard arrive back in California, and the story starts to pick up again.  This is roughly where “Here Goes the Bride” begins, not counting the teaser at the beginning. They are driving along the Pacific shore in a red Mercedes  without air conditioning, and Richard refuses to let her roll the windows down because he doesn’t want anyone to recognize him. He angsts for a while about how, even though actors like him need the audience in order to live and “for the magic to come alive,” the audience has become increasingly like “a great, crouching tiger...a creature of emotion and whim that can turn on you suddenly and get completely beyond your control” (p. 59). He rants about how April’s fans worshiped her and made almost a cult around her, and about how they will most likely go ballistic if they see him with another woman instead of playing “the high priest, ascetic, mourning, forever dedicated to her memory” (p. 60). By driving the car with the windows up, he hopes to avoid the paparazzi and other stalkers on their way to San Rafael.
We learn in a flashback, by the way, that the car is Lisa’s and that Richard had Jenny disguise herself as her by putting on a hat and sunglasses. Jenny asks if she really looks like Lisa--which, if it were true, would imply that he reciprocated Lisa’s feelings for him, at least on an unconscious level--but he says no. Her hair is dark, while Jenny’s is “tawny gold” (p. 63), which I had forgotten, probably because Lisa reminds me too much of Cersei Lannister not to picture her as such. Also, Richard has dark hair now, too? Two chapters earlier, his hair was tawny like Jenny’s. I guess this book’s editor didn’t notice the continuity error--not that it was that important, anyway.
Tumblr media
The woman on the cover, most likely Jenny.
While waiting for Juan to open the gates, Jenny stares in awe at the fortifications surrounding the estate--which, as you may recall from Chapter 1, Richard had built around the estate, allegedly to keep his and April’s rabid fans out, and even added the broken glass himself. “It’s like a fortress--barbed wire, broken glass,” she exclaims. “And the gate looks as though you borrowed it from the Bastille!” The mention of the Bastille reads like subtle foreshadowing of a later reveal, but, per my self-imposed rule against spoilers, I won’t say any more about it for now. The gates open and we hear Richard’s pack of snarling dogs for the first time, the sound of which makes her uneasy. She asks about them and Richard just says, “They’re our guardian angels. They patrol the grounds at night” (p. 67).
We also meet Juan, “a square-set Mexican...a man of some sixty years, with a sun-whipped face that was as craggy and seared with lines as the landscape they had just passed outside the gate” and “blackened teeth in a dark-brown face dried by so many days of sun that the oil had cooked from the skin until it was tanned like animal hide” (p. 67). Here we have the third piece of evidence of the dystopian nature of life at San Rafael. First, we saw the excessive level of security which Jenny compared to the most notorious prison of France’s ancien régime; next, we heard snarling from Richard’s kennel; and now, it is implied that Juan doesn’t get paid enough to afford either modern dentistry, sunscreen, or a good moisturizer. Combine this with Richard’s refusal to romance Jenny in his own words and his insistence that they drive with the windows up and no air conditioning in southern California, and his behavior abounds with red flags. It does make you wonder what lay behind the mask of love, and it’s quite reminiscent of early Jean Paul and his control-freak tendencies even when Jacques isn’t possessing him.
Unlike Quito, his Strange Paradise equivalent, Juan can speak and often does. Half of his dialogue is in Spanish, the other half in English. Sometimes he will even randomly throw a Spanish word into a mostly English sentence (ex. “They will not be tranquilo till they see you for themselves” (p. 68), which, even with my extremely limited knowledge of Spanish, I know should read “tranquilos,” because he is talking about the dogs). This, combined with his appearance and the mention that he stands “with Indian patience, unmoving and stolid” (p. 70), makes him come across as rather stereotypical. It’s surprising how SP, despite being a decade older, has actually aged slightly better than this book in terms of racial matters--although, given that this book is forty years old, that’s to be expected.
Upon meeting Juan, Jenny feels “an icy whisk of rejection that shuddered between her shoulderblades [sic]” (p. 68), as though she knows before he says anything that he is a card-carrying member of the Cult of April Tennant. He reveals to Jenny that the dogs “are trained to kill...anyone who does not belong here,” and that they will only protect her “if they learn to know you belong” (p. 70). Then he casts a huge heaping of doubt on whether that will ever happen:
Jenny’s voice was hushed and sympathetic.
“You must have loved her very much.”
He lifted his head proudly, the dark deep-set eyes flashing from under the craggy brows. “She was La Senora de la Casa!”
The statement was simple and obdurate. A declaration of faith that shook Jenny because it was so basic. She found herself fighting to keep her throat from tightening up as she answered tentatively, “I hope you won’t blame me too much for taking her place.”
The answer, although delivered with remote courtesy, was flatly uncompromising. “There is no one to take her place” (p. 71).
Richard interrupts them when he returns with all six of his dogs on leashes, which frightens her even more now that Juan has given her reason to suspect that the dogs, too, worship April Tennant and will not accept anyone in her place. He probably wants them to reject her, especially because he never thought to give her some bones or treats to use to win their loyalty. If I were in her position, I would be begging Juan for some good cow knuckles filled with marrow for them to gnaw on. Then--assuming that he obliged--I’m sure they would love me forever.
Chapter 7
Richard introduces Jenny to his dogs, six Doberman pinschers named for “the six noblest Romans of them all. Caesar, Brutus, Cassius, Marc Anthony--Mark for short--Cinna, and Casca” (p. 74). He has them demonstrate their obedience to him--while he demonstrates more of his own control-freak-ness--by ordering them to sit, then charge, then shake hands with her. Much to Juan’s likely chagrin, Richard has every intention on making the dogs recognize her as their new mistress, and so he has her give them dog biscuits.
They all appear to like her except for Casca, who is slightly less quick to obey Richard’s commands and also reluctant to kiss Jenny’s hand, unlike the others. She’s relieved to have found acceptance from them so quickly, but Juan has to rain on her proverbial parade by staring silently “with no solitary hint that he shared the dogs’ enthusiasm for Jenny” (p. 77).
Chapter 8
They get back in the car and continue driving (how vast is the estate?), this time with the top down because of the lack of prying eyes. We learn as they drive to San Rafael that April’s mother had it built, something that Richard doesn’t want to admit, but which he makes obvious at least to the reader:
“When April’s mother-” He choked that off and rephrased, biting his tongue for bringing up her name. “I mean, when the property was first bought, some foundations were discovered where the house was to be built; and the architect sold Apr--ah--them on recreating a Spanish mission. It was picturesque, but not very practical for modern living, so when Ap--I mean, when I was married and entered the picture, some changes were made [like the addition of that portrait, I assume]” (p. 79).
Jenny expresses her doubts that San Rafael “will open its arms to [her] and invite [her] in,” and he responds by kissing her, which doesn’t answer her question, but whatever:
He lifted her chin, tilting her face toward him gently, his eyes flickering back and forth across hers, his own gleaming and almost mesmeric as the sun slowly slipped down over the horizon. Then very slowly he touched his mouth to hers, his lips opening against hers as he quite suddenly pressed against her ardently, his tongue lightly touching hers, engaging it, probing and awakening her mouth and the answering touch of lips and tongue, till all the world was blotted out, and there was only the rush of teeming blood, throbbing in the head and along all the nerves to the end, and the surge of desire that blotted out anything else (p. 80).
Tumblr media
Unbeknownst to them, Chita and Lisa are spying on them, wondering why the car stopped! (ROFL) When Chita realizes what’s going on, she criticizes Richard in true prudish Raxl fashion: “That he would be so shameless in daylight,” says she. “To take this woman in his arms--” (p. 81). Lisa reminds her that they are married now; although the narration doesn’t mention a twinge of jealousy, I’ve no doubt in my mind that she wishes she were Jenny in that car.
Richard and Jenny get out and Lisa rushes to hug them. Surprisingly, she acts outwardly friendly towards Jenny, who notices that “[Lisa’s] dark blue eyes were penetrating as they took in Jenny in one swift appraisal. They might have frightened Jenny except for the deep spark of interest in them, and the wide smile which she didn’t realize was uncharacteristic for LIsa” (p. 82).
Then he introduces Jenny to Chita, whom she instantly dislikes. “From her long sojourn in the Philippines,” the narration tells us, “she was very conscious of relationships between employer and servant. Not that she subscribed to the sort of feudal system that existed there, but simply because she was an extraordinarily sensitive girl who was responsive to human vibrations. And she could tell that Conchita’s were not right about her” (pp. 83-84).
Conchita, likewise, has a bad first impression of Jenny, thinking her a snob because of her use of Castilian instead of Mexican Spanish. But Jenny doesn’t realize that, instead noticing and fixating on the portrait of April:
Tumblr media
Either by accident or design, those were the lights which Conchita had turned on. In the gloom of the hall, the full-length portrait dominated everything. Every detail of that matchless beauty was so sharp and clear that the figure of this lovely woman seemed to be alive and breathing.
And to Jenny, to be warning her and saying, “Why did you come? You don’t belong. How did you dream you could take my place? Did you think I would ever allow you to? This is my home, and Richard is mine. I’ll never let either of them go” (pp. 84-85)!
Compared to the beginning, Chapters 3 through 8 are not very meaty. These chapters are like chicken wings compared to the drumsticks that were the intro and the first two chapters. The main similarities that I found between these chapters and Strange Paradise were (1) the revelation that, like Maljardin-era Jean Paul, Richard is a control freak who is obsessed with his privacy and (2) the introduction of Juan, who fills Quito’s role as loyal male retainer but talks using occasionally inaccurate gratuitous Spanish (the “tranquilo” line). There is a lot of filler and also perhaps a little too much repetition of the idea that no one can ever take April’s place as mistress of San Rafael, so not as enjoyable as Part I or the next part of the story.
Coming up next: We get our first set of hints about April’s mysterious past, while Jenny tries to adjust to life in a house that may or may not be haunted by her spirit.

Notes
[1] Did Ferdinand Marcos even allow his opponents to hold rallies? As I said above, I don’t know much about Filipino history, but I do know that he ruled over the Philippines as a dictator and tried to suppress any opposition to him. Most likely either the above passage is inaccurate or what Martin is describing are actually political protests, but it’s worded in a way that suggests that he thought of Filipino politics in the 1970s-1980s as more democratic than they actually were.
[2] I did look up Michael Wager, the actor who played Richard in the original radio drama, and he did resemble this description (and was indeed quite handsome, if I do say so myself). However, it would be strange for Martin to have Richard look like his original actor when none of the other characters in the book do. Notably, Jenny’s description in the book as a gray-eyed blonde bears no resemblance to her original actress Ruby Dee--which I suspect may have something to do with the publisher wanting to avoid controversy for depicting interracial marriage, as Ruby Dee was black.

Nothing better than similar friendships
The Fringe Benefits of Failure, and the Importance of Imagination Harvard Commencement Speech 2008 by J.K. Rowling (Text as delivered)
President Faust, members of the Harvard Corporation and the Board of Overseers, members of the faculty, proud parents, and, above all, graduates.
The first thing I would like to say is ‘thank you.’ Not only has Harvard given me an extraordinary honour, but the weeks of fear and nausea I have endured at the thought of giving this commencement address have made me lose weight. A win-win situation! Now all I have to do is take deep breaths, squint at the red banners and convince myself that I am at the world’s largest Gryffindor reunion.
Delivering a commencement address is a great responsibility; or so I thought until I cast my mind back to my own graduation. The commencement speaker that day was the distinguished British philosopher Baroness Mary Warnock. Reflecting on her speech has helped me enormously in writing this one, because it turns out that I can’t remember a single word she said. This liberating discovery enables me to proceed without any fear that I might inadvertently influence you to abandon promising careers in business, the law or politics for the giddy delights of becoming a gay wizard.
You see? If all you remember in years to come is the ‘gay wizard’ joke, I’ve come out ahead of Baroness Mary Warnock. Achievable goals: the first step to self improvement.
Actually, I have wracked my mind and heart for what I ought to say to you today. I have asked myself what I wish I had known at my own graduation, and what important lessons I have learned in the 21 years that have expired between that day and this.
I have come up with two answers. On this wonderful day when we are gathered together to celebrate your academic success, I have decided to talk to you about the benefits of failure. And as you stand on the threshold of what is sometimes called ‘real life’, I want to extol the crucial importance of imagination.
These may seem quixotic or paradoxical choices, but please bear with me.
Looking back at the 21-year-old that I was at graduation, is a slightly uncomfortable experience for the 42-year-old that she has become. Half my lifetime ago, I was striking an uneasy balance between the ambition I had for myself, and what those closest to me expected of me.
I was convinced that the only thing I wanted to do, ever, was to write novels. However, my parents, both of whom came from impoverished backgrounds and neither of whom had been to college, took the view that my overactive imagination was an amusing personal quirk that would never pay a mortgage, or secure a pension. I know that the irony strikes with the force of a cartoon anvil, now.
So they hoped that I would take a vocational degree; I wanted to study English Literature. A compromise was reached that in retrospect satisfied nobody, and I went up to study Modern Languages. Hardly had my parents’ car rounded the corner at the end of the road than I ditched German and scuttled off down the Classics corridor.
I cannot remember telling my parents that I was studying Classics; they might well have found out for the first time on graduation day. Of all the subjects on this planet, I think they would have been hard put to name one less useful than Greek mythology when it came to securing the keys to an executive bathroom.
I would like to make it clear, in parenthesis, that I do not blame my parents for their point of view. There is an expiry date on blaming your parents for steering you in the wrong direction; the moment you are old enough to take the wheel, responsibility lies with you. What is more, I cannot criticise my parents for hoping that I would never experience poverty. They had been poor themselves, and I have since been poor, and I quite agree with them that it is not an ennobling experience. Poverty entails fear, and stress, and sometimes depression; it means a thousand petty humiliations and hardships. Climbing out of poverty by your own efforts, that is indeed something on which to pride yourself, but poverty itself is romanticised only by fools.
What I feared most for myself at your age was not poverty, but failure.
At your age, in spite of a distinct lack of motivation at university, where I had spent far too long in the coffee bar writing stories, and far too little time at lectures, I had a knack for passing examinations, and that, for years, had been the measure of success in my life and that of my peers.
I am not dull enough to suppose that because you are young, gifted and well-educated, you have never known hardship or heartbreak. Talent and intelligence never yet inoculated anyone against the caprice of the Fates, and I do not for a moment suppose that everyone here has enjoyed an existence of unruffled privilege and contentment.
However, the fact that you are graduating from Harvard suggests that you are not very well-acquainted with failure. You might be driven by a fear of failure quite as much as a desire for success. Indeed, your conception of failure might not be too far from the average person’s idea of success, so high have you already flown.
Ultimately, we all have to decide for ourselves what constitutes failure, but the world is quite eager to give you a set of criteria if you let it. So I think it fair to say that by any conventional measure, a mere seven years after my graduation day, I had failed on an epic scale. An exceptionally short-lived marriage had imploded, and I was jobless, a lone parent, and as poor as it is possible to be in modern Britain, without being homeless. The fears that my parents had had for me, and that I had had for myself, had both come to pass, and by every usual standard, I was the biggest failure I knew.
Now, I am not going to stand here and tell you that failure is fun. That period of my life was a dark one, and I had no idea that there was going to be what the press has since represented as a kind of fairy tale resolution. I had no idea then how far the tunnel extended, and for a long time, any light at the end of it was a hope rather than a reality.
So why do I talk about the benefits of failure? Simply because failure meant a stripping away of the inessential. I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything other than what I was, and began to direct all my energy into finishing the only work that mattered to me. Had I really succeeded at anything else, I might never have found the determination to succeed in the one arena I believed I truly belonged. I was set free, because my greatest fear had been realised, and I was still alive, and I still had a daughter whom I adored, and I had an old typewriter and a big idea. And so rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.
You might never fail on the scale I did, but some failure in life is inevitable. It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.
Failure gave me an inner security that I had never attained by passing examinations. Failure taught me things about myself that I could have learned no other way. I discovered that I had a strong will, and more discipline than I had suspected; I also found out that I had friends whose value was truly above the price of rubies.
The knowledge that you have emerged wiser and stronger from setbacks means that you are, ever after, secure in your ability to survive. You will never truly know yourself, or the strength of your relationships, until both have been tested by adversity. Such knowledge is a true gift, for all that it is painfully won, and it has been worth more than any qualification I ever earned.
So given a Time Turner, I would tell my 21-year-old self that personal happiness lies in knowing that life is not a check-list of acquisition or achievement. Your qualifications, your CV, are not your life, though you will meet many people of my age and older who confuse the two. Life is difficult, and complicated, and beyond anyone’s total control, and the humility to know that will enable you to survive its vicissitudes.
Now you might think that I chose my second theme, the importance of imagination, because of the part it played in rebuilding my life, but that is not wholly so. Though I personally will defend the value of bedtime stories to my last gasp, I have learned to value imagination in a much broader sense. Imagination is not only the uniquely human capacity to envision that which is not, and therefore the fount of all invention and innovation. In its arguably most transformative and revelatory capacity, it is the power that enables us to empathise with humans whose experiences we have never shared.
One of the greatest formative experiences of my life preceded Harry Potter, though it informed much of what I subsequently wrote in those books. This revelation came in the form of one of my earliest day jobs. Though I was sloping off to write stories during my lunch hours, I paid the rent in my early 20s by working at the African research department at Amnesty International’s headquarters in London.
There in my little office I read hastily scribbled letters smuggled out of totalitarian regimes by men and women who were risking imprisonment to inform the outside world of what was happening to them. I saw photographs of those who had disappeared without trace, sent to Amnesty by their desperate families and friends. I read the testimony of torture victims and saw pictures of their injuries. I opened handwritten, eye-witness accounts of summary trials and executions, of kidnappings and rapes.
Many of my co-workers were ex-political prisoners, people who had been displaced from their homes, or fled into exile, because they had the temerity to speak against their governments. Visitors to our offices included those who had come to give information, or to try and find out what had happened to those they had left behind.
I shall never forget the African torture victim, a young man no older than I was at the time, who had become mentally ill after all he had endured in his homeland. He trembled uncontrollably as he spoke into a video camera about the brutality inflicted upon him. He was a foot taller than I was, and seemed as fragile as a child. I was given the job of escorting him back to the Underground Station afterwards, and this man whose life had been shattered by cruelty took my hand with exquisite courtesy, and wished me future happiness.
And as long as I live I shall remember walking along an empty corridor and suddenly hearing, from behind a closed door, a scream of pain and horror such as I have never heard since. The door opened, and the researcher poked out her head and told me to run and make a hot drink for the young man sitting with her. She had just had to give him the news that in retaliation for his own outspokenness against his country’s regime, his mother had been seized and executed.
Every day of my working week in my early 20s I was reminded how incredibly fortunate I was, to live in a country with a democratically elected government, where legal representation and a public trial were the rights of everyone.
Every day, I saw more evidence about the evils humankind will inflict on their fellow humans, to gain or maintain power. I began to have nightmares, literal nightmares, about some of the things I saw, heard, and read.
And yet I also learned more about human goodness at Amnesty International than I had ever known before.
Amnesty mobilises thousands of people who have never been tortured or imprisoned for their beliefs to act on behalf of those who have. The power of human empathy, leading to collective action, saves lives, and frees prisoners. Ordinary people, whose personal well-being and security are assured, join together in huge numbers to save people they do not know, and will never meet. My small participation in that process was one of the most humbling and inspiring experiences of my life.
Unlike any other creature on this planet, humans can learn and understand, without having experienced. They can think themselves into other people’s places.
Of course, this is a power, like my brand of fictional magic, that is morally neutral. One might use such an ability to manipulate, or control, just as much as to understand or sympathise.
And many prefer not to exercise their imaginations at all. They choose to remain comfortably within the bounds of their own experience, never troubling to wonder how it would feel to have been born other than they are. They can refuse to hear screams or to peer inside cages; they can close their minds and hearts to any suffering that does not touch them personally; they can refuse to know.
I might be tempted to envy people who can live that way, except that I do not think they have any fewer nightmares than I do. Choosing to live in narrow spaces leads to a form of mental agoraphobia, and that brings its own terrors. I think the wilfully unimaginative see more monsters. They are often more afraid.
What is more, those who choose not to empathise enable real monsters. For without ever committing an act of outright evil ourselves, we collude with it, through our own apathy.
One of the many things I learned at the end of that Classics corridor down which I ventured at the age of 18, in search of something I could not then define, was this, written by the Greek author Plutarch: What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality.
That is an astonishing statement and yet proven a thousand times every day of our lives. It expresses, in part, our inescapable connection with the outside world, the fact that we touch other people’s lives simply by existing.
But how much more are you, Harvard graduates of 2008, likely to touch other people’s lives? Your intelligence, your capacity for hard work, the education you have earned and received, give you unique status, and unique responsibilities. Even your nationality sets you apart. The great majority of you belong to the world’s only remaining superpower. The way you vote, the way you live, the way you protest, the pressure you bring to bear on your government, has an impact way beyond your borders. That is your privilege, and your burden.
If you choose to use your status and influence to raise your voice on behalf of those who have no voice; if you choose to identify not only with the powerful, but with the powerless; if you retain the ability to imagine yourself into the lives of those who do not have your advantages, then it will not only be your proud families who celebrate your existence, but thousands and millions of people whose reality you have helped change. We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.
I am nearly finished. I have one last hope for you, which is something that I already had at 21. The friends with whom I sat on graduation day have been my friends for life. They are my children’s godparents, the people to whom I’ve been able to turn in times of trouble, people who have been kind enough not to sue me when I took their names for Death Eaters. At our graduation we were bound by enormous affection, by our shared experience of a time that could never come again, and, of course, by the knowledge that we held certain photographic evidence that would be exceptionally valuable if any of us ran for Prime Minister.
So today, I wish you nothing better than similar friendships. And tomorrow, I hope that even if you remember not a single word of mine, you remember those of Seneca, another of those old Romans I met when I fled down the Classics corridor, in retreat from career ladders, in search of ancient wisdom: As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters. I wish you all very good lives. Thank-you very much.

At first they were silent. They pretended she did not exist. Now she is featuring in their newspapers. About fake issues. But Diane keeps rising. Addressing the concerns and fears that are devastating Rwandans. About living in fear. About living in poverty. About living under state terror. As the great African-American poet Maya Angelou would have put it, still Diane rises.

Belarus Spring part 2 The link to our podcast: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1016881/4977068
andrei sannikov: (00:00) People are fed up the last day. No matter what he does, people are hesitant to get rid of this insane data. Speaker 2: (00:11) [inaudible] Dana Lewis : (00:15) Hi everyone. And welcome to part two of my backstory in Belarus, incredible scenes from Eastern Europe's Belarus. Three days after the election already 7,000 people arrested, beaten, tortured, horrific situation. It's about freedom. Speaker 2: (00:32) [inaudible] Dana Lewis : (00:40) People know president Alexander Lucas Shenko held a sham. Fraudulent vote. If ballots were counted fairly, he would be out after 27 years of erratic autocratic rule as a journalist, I've covered Russia and Eastern Europe for two decades. We all know that Belarus is one of those former Soviet countries where voting is political theater, the results never real, just as in Putin's Russia, smoke and mirrors on the street, tears and anger. Dana Lewis : (01:18) She says we are all Belorussians. How was this possible fighting against your own people? This is not fair. Spit. Lana Tika, no sky. The main opposition challenger was detained and then fled to Lithuania implying that she was given an impossible choice with threats to her children's safety. She only stood for president because her husband was jailed and she wanted free and fair elections. Her words after she was threatened and detained because that's, I know many will understand me. Many will judge me and many will begin to hate me. God forbid, anyone faces the choices I've had to face. The EU will meet to sanction Belarus maybe, but this is not the first election hijacked by LucaShenko it's not the first time people have been beaten and locked up and tortured, but public outrage is across the country. Now in 2010, almost the same thing happened on a smaller scale. And I want you to listen to the opposition candidate at that time. Andre Santa called a former deputy foreign secretary for Belarus who dare to challenge Lucashenko joining me now from Warsaw. Poland is Andre sannikov called. Hello, mr. Sannikov you have a long, very tough story to tell because you were the deputy foreign minister of Belarus. Uh, you served under Lukashenko , and then you ran against, uh, and you were brutally jailed. Tell me about it. Tell me about what happened when he died, andrei sannikov: (03:06) Served under [inaudible], who is the first head of independent bureaus. And I was in the foreign ministry long before [inaudible] was even known to the people in gurus. He was, uh, somebody that I never, uh, knew. Uh, he was, uh, somebody that, uh, I thought for us that was very, uh, most accidental politician in the, the whole, uh, Doris in parliament at that time, including the communists. Uh, so I was I, and I'm still, uh, a career diplomat and I worked for, for Belarus and the years then, uh, Luca Shameka, uh, happened to be, Dana Lewis : (03:56) Yeah, that came, he came and he never left. Speaker 3: (03:59) He came and happened to be elected more or less democratically in 94. Dana Lewis : (04:04) And that was probably the first and last democratic election andrei sannikov: (04:08) That was first and last. And it is not my words. It's the assessment of the international community. The only, uh, international organization that is, uh, has the authority to judge is the ordeal office of democratic institutions, human rights, which bill also, they always see organization for security and cooperation in Europe. Dana Lewis : (04:29) All right. In 2010. I mean, he was, no, he was no kitten. At that point, he was known to be a tough leader. Why did you take the risk to run against him? What motivated you then and what happened to you? andrei sannikov: (04:42) Well, I took the risk to run against him in 96, not in 2010. When I stepped down as a deputy foreign minister. And I wrote my, uh, application, uh, for, for resignation, uh, saying that I am against his policy. They tried to pressure me. They tried to bribe me, but, uh, I was quite resonant because I wanted my country. I knew what it was to be, uh, a servant to, to serve an independent country, wanting it to be democratic. And then when this person appeared, I couldn't continue to work professionally. So yes, in 2010, I decided to run against him because, uh, it was, uh, I think, uh, a turning point in 0.4, if you remember, there was a crisis. Well, the economic crisis starting in 2008 and, uh, with the abilities of, uh, Luca Shanka to, uh, run economy, it was clear that the borders will be in horrible situation because he doesn't do anything. He, he claims that he understand the economy. He doesn't Glen was that he, he, he, he can cope with the economy he doesn't. And, uh, it was clear that the, the, the, the country was in a catastrophic situation. So I, uh, it was not my personal decision. It was decision of my team, very professional team, which by the way, included, uh, the first head of state of [inaudible], uh, to Dana Lewis : (06:22) You lost the election. I'm not sure you really lost it, but the fix was in as it was in this election. andrei sannikov: (06:30) No, I didn't close actually the, I wouldn't say about myself, but we had couple of strong candidates in the position and alternative candidates and [inaudible] the election, but he claimed that he won. Dana Lewis : (06:43) Right. And you were, you were jailed. Speaker 3: (06:46) Yes. I was thrown in jail, uh, on the night of the election for the first time. Lucas Shanka decided to attack us on the night of election, because before that, he did that. But after you left, I mean, international observers and the international press, uh, cowards don't like publicity. They, they like to do it secretly, but in 2010 years, he attacked us on the night of election. Yes. And not only me, but, uh, more than 1000 people were jailed at that time. Dana Lewis : (07:17) Were you, how were you treated in prison? How brutal regime is this? andrei sannikov: (07:21) It is a very brutal regime who were tortured. We were, uh, they had special programs as I learned from them. At some stage, they had the, the security is to, to develop special programs for each, uh, position leader, uh, which were based on the psychological studies that they made in prison before that is roping us and following us. And the, uh, let's say sending their people, uh, to, to spy on us. And yes, there were quite skillful in that. And they were quite, um, uh, uh, meticulous in, uh, putting pressure on everybody, Speaker 1: (08:10) See willing to do you. You're seeing what's happening in the street. Now he's chased his opposition. Uh, he either arrested them or intimidated them or, or physically attacked them. Or the main opposition leader now has fled to Lithuania. What, what is he capable of doing now as people are in the street and they understand, they understand that this election has been stolen from them. andrei sannikov: (08:34) Uh, I have to correct. You [inaudible] is no opposition leader. She stood, uh, against Luca Shameka and she actually, uh, replaced her husband who's thrown in jail, but she's now a position leader never was a neighborhood. Speaker 1: (08:53) Right. And she was a very reluctant participant in the political yeah, Speaker 3: (08:56) Absolutely, absolutely. What she wants to do, what he wants to do. You know, he, he has an experience of his relationship with Russia and with the West, we call it the pendulum politics when he tried to quote the worst against Russia and quote puts in against the West. And he is quite sure that this time he also will succeed that, uh, eventually the worst will recognize him as the factor leader and give him money. And, you know, it is, it's been the story of his illegal rule through all this more than 20 years that the West, uh, was, uh, condemning. Yes. Uh, introducing some, some kind of sanctions, which were very mild, even compared to the central says, uh, which there was introduced against Russia. And then they forgot it because the attention span is very short in the West as regards to Lucas Shanka, who is considered to be a better dictator. Speaker 1: (10:03) Let's let's I understand the EU is going to meet. They're going to talk about it. The U S has condemned it. You use got all sorts of problems with, with hungry, who may veto anything that they attempt to do. Um, let's talk just, just your measure of the people in the street, who, you know, up until now, a lot of people in, in Belarus have not been willing to go out and confront authorities. It seems like it's changed and things are not going to go back to normal again. Speaker 3: (10:31) Absolutely. Right. Uh, people are fed up. Uh, it is, uh, the last day. So [inaudible] no matter what he does. And the reason for it is the, uh, his attitude towards COVID-19 because not only he denied it, that there is a pandemic, but he also behaved so arrogantly trying to offend people and accumulate people. He made them exposed to the dangers by organizing military parades and everything. And then he started to accuse them of dying, you know, and people were fed up. People started to organize themselves. People started to organize the very broad and strong, uh, uh, volunteer movement, helping each other. And they saw that this guy is really despising them. He managed to achieve impossible. He managed to offend everybody in Belarusian, all people in Valero. And that's it. Uh, I think that the, no matter what he does to be no matter how much force he uses against the people, you see what's going on in the streets of [inaudible] people are resolute to get rid of this insane Dick data. Speaker 1: (11:43) And are you worried for your people between getting rid of him and what may happen between now and then and how desperate he is? Yeah, of course. andrei sannikov: (11:54) That's why we, we, we, we do need help from our friends. We do need to throw measures from democratic States, not just blabbering, they're still involved in, in studying the situation. It's not time to study because it's not happened on, on Sunday. We have four people thrown in prison and tortured there for two months already. There is an international convention against the torches and nobody revokes it. And nobody wants to [inaudible] regime. Not because he stolen against stole will have stolen stolen election from us, but because he's touching people in prison, it's a crime, it's a crime, it's an international crime. So I don't know what, what, why there was a so T myth, why there was this so ignorant that the below serves today, defend democratic values, Andre Seneca. Thank you so much for your time. It's really important to talk to you and to hear you. Thank you. Thank you very much though. Dana Lewis : (13:03) Lukashenko has called protesters criminals who were out of work in Nita jaw years, claim victory, and set police on demonstrators. We will see if Bella Russians will swallow this bitter pill or this time Lukashenko may not be able to contain the unrest. That's this edition of backstory. Please let us know how you feel about the podcast and please share it and subscribe. So you get all of our additions. We normally put podcasts out on Friday, but sometimes the news can't wait. I'm Dana Lewis and I'll talk to you soon. [inaudible].

No One Masturbates to C-SPAN But Maybe They Should
by Don Hall
A man stands on the sidelines of a fight. The melee is more words tossed at one another than actual blows and neither opponent even bothers to notice the man so he watches. Both sides of the struggle scream insults at one another. The rage they exhibit is almost comical if viewed from the man’s self deluded objectivity — they’re both so goddamned hysterically angry.
Both sides use their version of morality as a bludgeon against the other. Both opponents zealously use anything and everything they can think of to knock the other off balance, to obstruct them, to defeat them.
The man on the sidelines just observes. Either one of the raging combatants could enlist him in their fight, tipping the balance, but they are so focused on their self righteous causes, they ignore him completely.
Eric Wilson, in his column American Shithole, asks “Who are we, America?” as he spews out another brilliantly written rant against the Powers That Be in Trump’s Regime.
Roughly 5% of the American public see America as a once shining beacon of hope to the world and, in an effort to turn back the clock, are willing to brick by brick allow the dismantling of the attempts to equalize the landscape of her people. A blind eye to rollbacks on voter rights, education, healthcare, affirmative action, policing reform, and practically everything from the New Deal to the Civil Rights Act is subject to destruction. This 5% has convinced another 20% to vote with them
Roughly 5% of America are idealists, hoping against hope that the country can live up to the rhetoric of its founders (all while tearing the very idea of its founders from the pedestal of history) and seeking a better, more just, more utopian society. They are activists and work toward everything from equal bathroom rights for transgender persons to the reforming of police culture to increased awareness of our racist past (and present) to the centuries old subjugation of women. The fight for the health of the planet, the education of the children, the rights of the downtrodden and left behind. This 5% have convinced another 20% to vote with them.
Roughly 50% of the country is watching from the sidelines, ignored by the other two sides. A state of willful apathy. They are busy working, coming home exhausted, grabbing a tasty adult beverage and watching Dancing with the Stars or a pirated copy of Pacific Rim 2. They don’t see anyone really doing anything about the problems of the country as American politics hit a stagnant point of forward momentum soon after Reagan blew the rims off of things by winning the presidency with 84% of the voting population weighing in for him. Ever since, it has been a matter of one side beating the other side but just barely.
Some of them voted for Bill Clinton but Bill signed the Omnibus legislation and fucked an intern. Some of them kept the faith and voted for Obama but Obama deported more immigrants than any president before and used deadly model airplanes to kill civilians. Some voted for McCain but had to hold their gag reflex in check because, you know, Palin. Some voted for W but then he declared the longest war in American history based on bullshit evidence. And because the system is corrupt and broken, they weren’t surprised at all when Trump won.
These people don't feel supported by their community, their schools, their government. When they get sick, no one cares. Why should they care back? They see that everyone else is speeding, so they hammer the accelerator as well – what's the point in being the only one who doesn't? They are incensed by school shootings yet no progress is ever made, so they check out. This is referred to as the bystander phenomenon. 50% of the country has given up on society in any active sense.
That’s who we are.
My wife recently made the observation that, on Literate Ape, I am the closest thing we have to a Right Wing voice. This alarmed me. Anyone who knows me (no, not from the internet or from gossip or from an ex-girlfriend) knows that I am anything but Right Wing. A Right Wing voice? Are you joking?
In our very polarized political cottage, it goes without much extrapolation that today is a “You’re With Us or Against Us” environment and, in that frame, I am both a LibTard and a Neo-Nazi depending on whose opinion I am skeptical of and how I decide to voice that opinion. As David once wrote “If there were to be an actual revolution in this country, I'm concerned that neither side would have me as a soldier.”
Rather than try to defend myself in that context, I decided to look into it a bit. Go back and re-read essays written. Find out where this assertion came from. Prosecute myself in depth. Understand why I may be seen as anything but the dyed in the wool, old school Liberal that I see myself to be.
At core, I believe in the freedom to choose.
To choose where you live, how you make a living, what you do to your body and what others do to it, as well. Freedom of religious or political expression. Freedom to be wrong.
I believe the government should stay out of our personal lives but that it is government’s responsibility to ensure equal protections, equity, justice and dignity to all citizens under the umbrella of that body. I believe in the feasibility and obligation for the government to provide universal healthcare, a streamlined pathway to citizenship, a military force for defense, protection of the environment, and the regulation of corporate industry.
I believe that it isn’t the angry activists on the street that will change society but the Ryan Cooglers and Jordan Peeles and Patty Jenkins who will right the ship’s course. By being excellent at what they do and telling stories society desperately needs to hear and succeeding in creating communal experiences that millions upon millions of Americans share, their work influences everyone and in a convincing way.
I also believe our choices all have consequences and that to use your background, marginalization, privilege, victim status, suffering or success as an avoidance of those consequences is the bullshit reasoning of a child. This is the part that revokes my Progressive card for many.
I am a Liberal who really dislikes the most strident and extreme of the Progressives. I mean, disliking the extreme Right Wing is so fucking easy and obvious, calling them out is like calling out dogs for squatting when they shit or the sun for being a giant, flaming ball of gas. Who, in their right mind, doesn’t already know that these guys are lying assholes and what benefit do we garner for repeating it?
No, despising the Tea Partiers and Trumpsters is so easy and unchallenging as to be kind of silly. They aren’t listening so I’m not almost ever talking to them. It’s the goddamned Progressive Extreme, the Army of the Identity Victimhood, the Knee-jerk, Call-out Mafia whom I take issue with. And  #FuckTrump isn’t brave or oriented to change — it is an eighth grade taunt and nothing more.
At 52, this is what I know. Almost all of the problems we face today can be solved with A) legislation and B) enforcement of legislation. To effectively change the policies to be more Progressive, we have one tool at our disposal — democracy. Six million more people voted for HRC than Trump yet, based upon the system that we all agreed to live with (because so far, no one has had an epic protest of the Electoral College despite the fact that it hurts both puppies AND immigrant children in a long term sense) he won that election. Barely. Again.
If 5% of that aforementioned 50% of the citizenry living out that bystander phenomenon were convinced to vote our way and in the states that mattered at the time, the election has a very different outcome. Politics is not a fucking boxing match, it’s a chess game. And no one wins chess by screaming insults at their opponent or bashing them over the head with the board.
This means finding reasonable compromises and working with people less ideologically motivated by passion because passion is the enemy of reason. Passion is awesome when it comes to fucking, fighting, or fleeing but is lousy when trying to craft long term rules designed to protect everyone.
As my wife says, “No one masturbates to C-SPAN.” But maybe they should. In a democracy, it is the patience of voting and legislating that steers us toward the utopia we seek.
I'd spank it if we got universal healthcare. Maybe twice.

Looking Ahead to 2020

It’s tough to be confident making predictions about the 2018 midterms. Trump isn’t on the ballot so it might not be a referendum on him for anyone but anti-Trumpers. He’s not a Republican as much as he is a hijacker of their party. Still, Republicans tend to turn out strong for midterms, and he’s got lots of diehard MAGApedes. However, don’t get too hung up on the midterms because the decisive question will be 2020. Assuming he stays healthy and lucid (a big “if” for someone in their mid 70’s), he has a very strong chance of winning. Let’s check out some reasons why.
Russiagate
Initially, this was all very frustrating and worrisome. It seemed probable that the Deep State would just digitally manufacture some sort of “proof.” Otherwise, why would they embark on such a self-destructive campaign? Time has proven that to be a wildly mistaken assumption. It’s emerged as a desperate yet laughably incompetent effort to cover up malfeasance and delegitimize the President. Slowly, we’ve seen it play out in a way that is deeply embarrassing to Trump’s enemies. The MSM has done a great deal to discredit itself with the spin they’ve tried to put on salacious revelations that continue to emerge. It’s helped to boost Trump with people who haven’t been afflicted with Trump derangement syndrome. Judging from how long it’s taken to get this far, the issue won’t be buried by the time 2020 rolls around.
Trump Tactics
We’ve imported a lot of criminal scum into this country. Now, Trump is skillfully putting the MSM and the Dems into a position where they have to praise and defend these miscreants. Do you think he just let the term “animals” slip when describing MS-13? Well, they certainly did and then it blew up in their faces. Latin American gangbangers have no redeeming qualities or right to be in this country. Yet, he forced them to take that position. It was hilarious to watch. It’s doubtful that they’ll ever stop stepping on these mines.
The Economy
The average person isn’t capable of abstract thinking. Obvious, profound questions such as how mass migration will impact the future of Western Civilization don’t seem to float through their heads. Like it or not, civic nationalism is what prevails for the time being among White voters, particularly Boomers. Thus, the economy will be the decisive factor in the 2020 election. According to honest metrics, it’s been terrible for a decade and we can see that reflected in a wide variety of other key statistics like the low White birthrate. However, an apples-to-apples comparison of the US government’s metrics shows that things are doing much better under Trump.
Moreover, Trump can point to the soaring stock market as a testament to prosperity. This is likely to continue into 2020 because the US market is very attractive (especially after the tax cuts) and there won’t be a real alternative to the dollar for years to come. In order for things to go really bad for us before 2020, money would need someplace else to go that doesn’t yet exist. In fact, any problem outside the US (a European bond crisis is quite likely) would send more money stateside. Despite our problems, we’re the best show in town for now. He’ll probably be able to point at even higher stocks during his re-election campaign.
The Democrats
Without a poor economy, the Dems really can’t have a platform besides anti-White hysteria and impeaching Trump. No matter what they might say, those are the only two poles holding up the party tent. Moreover, they’re stuck fighting amongst themselves about emphasizing identity politics or trying to win back the working class White vote. The problem is that Trump already won this rejected demographic, and can point to tangible economic accomplishments to keep it. A change in rhetoric won’t do the Dems any good in this regard. Worse yet, they can’t even change their rhetoric as the party’s geriatric White and Jewish politicians give way to the vibrant brown faces who now represent the base. There’s no reversing the racial polarization of American politics. More racial invective is sure to fly as old school White scum like Terry McAuliffe vies against the likes of Kamala Harris for the nomination. It should be very entertaining for us and hopefully quite alienating for the average White voter.
What Could Derail Trump?
Israel. Our greatest ally has already convinced Trump to abandon the JCOPA and push for a new deal on terms that are impossible for Iran to fulfill even if they were willing to renegotiate, which they absolutely are not. Trump is seeking to placate donors like Sheldon Adelson and make good on some campaign rhetoric. In contrast, Israel and Saudi Arabia are looking to decimate Iran’s economy and instigate civil turmoil as a catalyst for regime change. What Israel wants from Uncle Sam, it generally gets. So, the possibility that this could escalate outside the limited parameters that Trump envisioned is pretty strong. With Russia and China lined up behind Iran, this could escalate dramatically with dire economic implications for the US. Trump could even find himself confronted with a situation in which the Israelis and Saudis present him with some sort of fait accompli as a pretext for military intervention. All we can do is hope for the best.
Post-2020
Whoever wins the next presidential election will be confronted with enormous challenges as the America its people have conceptualized continues to break down. Most likely, they’ll be forced to negotiate a post-dollar global financial system and a wave of inevitable state and municipal insolvencies as places such as Illinois and California finally run out of rope to burn. Worse still, the president will be presiding over a situation of unprecedented political turmoil as the Baby Boomer generation confronts the reality of their retirement years. The resources to provide them with what they’ve been promised simply don’t exist. These people are generally complacent now, but their anger and desperation will force politicians to abandon the familiar script. It’s all going to be a big mess, but it will play out much better for us with Trump in office.

A former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu, on Thursday criticised the Goodluck Jonathan administration for not doing enough in security, the economy and other sectors.
Mr. Tinubu also highlighted the successes of the Muhammadu Buhari administration so far.
The All Progressives Congress leader stated these at the presentation of a book: ‘Making Steady, Sustainable Progress’ in Abuja.
Read his full speech below
KEYNOTE ADDRESS BY ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU AT THE PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK
‘’MAKING STEADY, SUSTAINABLE PROGRESS’’
NOVEMBER 16, 2017
ABUJA-NIGERIA.
PROTOCOLS
We are many things as a people. Among them, is that we can be a clamorous nation.
Noise abounds. Voices rise. Critics moan. The angry and the desperate even question whether this nation should exist, whether it is an experience or experiment that has failed.
Mr. President, the noise can be loud, almost deafening at times. Yet ultimately both noise and clamour shall fade, for progress.
What shall be left is reality and fact. The core reality, the fact of our political existence, is that Nigeria is an indivisible entity; a nation of many peoples wedded in common enterprise with its better days yet before it.
Yes, we were born of a complicated past, and face a challenging present. Ah, but our future, yes our future, can be one of progress, compassion, justice and hope, if only we have the courage to make it so.
We have passed but two years under this government. In the measure of human affairs, this seems a brief period in part but also long in part. We are both the same and different now than we were then.
Before this government came into being, Boko Haram wreaked havoc on a daily basis. Spreading its evil arm across great expanses of our national territory, Boko Haram invaded town and villages, erasing the peace and normalcy of the people to replace it with wanton brutality, hatred and death.
They hoisted their dreadful flag where only the green and white of Nigeria should have been.
Today, that evil flag is not planted over an inch of our precious land. This violent scourge recedes into the darkened shadows of inhumanity from whence it came.
People once under its horrid dominion now breathe the air of freedom and safety.
Boko Haram has not been completely defeated. But there is no question, that it has been decimated and made shorter and weaker. They shall never constitute the threat they once were.
This is no accident. It is the result of the policies and commitment of President Buhari, his government and the men and women of our armed forces who place their lives on the line in silent heroism to protect this nation and its people.
Had the previous government remained in place, Boko Haram would have surely eaten more territory and devoured more people. This nation might have indeed been divided and cut asunder, not by choice but by the knife of terrorism.
The prior government used the public treasury as a private hedge fund or a charity that limited its giving only to themselves.
So much money grew feet and ran away faster than Usain Bolt ever could. That which could have been spent on national development was squandered in ways that would cause the devil to blush.
One minister and her rogues’ gallery picked the pocket of this nation for billions of dollars. While poor at governance, these people could give a master thief lessons in the sleight of hand. In governance, they earned a red card but in the corruption, they won the gold medal.
It was not that our institutions had become infected by corruption. Corruption had become institutionalized.
President Buhari has set an axe to the root of this dangerous tree. I would be lying if I said the war against large-scale corruption has been won.
It has not. It will take time and countless swings of the axe to fall such a deeply-rooted tree. But try we must. This is what the President is doing.
Gone are the times when a minister can pilfer billions of dollars as easy as plucking a piece of candy from the table.
We have much to do to combat this disease. Not only must we track down the takers. In the long term, we must review the salaries of public servants and create universal credits for our people to reduce temptation.
We must also take greater care by placing people of character, competence and goodness into key positions. When they fail, they must be removed without remorse or favour.
Unlike its predecessor, this government has demonstrated the will to walk this path. While this might not cause much fanfare or celebration, this cleanses the institutions upon which a nation’s wellbeing is founded with a future assured.
The economy remains our biggest long-term challenge. The prior government operated during times of plenty. The opposite is the case now. Sadly, that plenty was stolen or directed toward policies of no lasting consequence to the average Nigerian save to compel them to say another opportunity had been wasted.
Through no fault of its own, this administration had to grapple with a rapid fall in oil prices.
That fall brought recession and collapsed our exchange rate regime. More fundamentally, it showed that the very economic model upon which this nation operated was outmoded and flawed. Unfortunately the past administration did nothing to re-calibrate the economy.
With fewer resources at hand, this government is compelled to do more. It must respond to immediate needs in a way that leads to long-term economic reform.
This will be a complex journey. This government has taken the first steps in the right direction.
We are inching out of recession. The exchange rate has stabilized. Internationally, we are seen as on the mend and have been recognized for making significant progress in the ease of doing business.
In hindsight, the election of President Buhari had an air of inevitability to it. Despite the odds arrayed against him, the sovereign will of the people lifted him to victory.
He is truly the right man for this time and place.
This is why I am pleased by the publication of this book with the just and appropriate title ‘Making Steady, Sustainable Progress for Nigeria’s Peace and Security.’
The president’s media team, Femi Adesina, Garba Shehu and Laolu Akande, worked with the various ministries to assemble this comprehensive, objective catalogue of the work this government has done.
This book is a good account of the work this government has accomplished to date.
This book is needed for it sheds light on what may be obscure to the average person.
President Buhari is a man who exercises an economy of speech. He is a man of action not of chatter.
President Muhammadu Buhari
He will not spend time blowing his own trumpet because his preference is to move to the next important task.
Thus, it is apt that these men serve him in a way he would never think of serving himself.
I have already discussed the progress made regarding security, corruption and the general economy, this triad being the core promises made by the President and our party to the Nigerian people.
But this book reveals so much more being done in all areas of life. This work may not be spectacular but it is essential. It may not be flashy but it is foundational and enduring.
In agriculture, where the bulk of our people make their living, this government has strengthened research and development to enhance productivity, it has taken steps to increase exports, while rationalising fertiliser and seed distribution. Farm credits and financing have improved allowing farmers to expand existing crops and grow new ones, including fisheries and aquaculture.
I don’t know about you, but I call this the progress we need!
In education, this administration has reduced the number of out-of school children. School lunch programs for the poorest among us have been initiated.
Teachers have been hired and are being better trained. This government seeks to inject ICT into the school system. Universal Basic Education is more of a priority than ever before. Our universities and other tertiary institutions are better funded than ever before.
I don’t know about you but I call this the progress we need!
With regard to labour, this government works with the private sector to create jobs and to engage people in the training required as we transit from a mono-dimensional economy to one more diverse and reliant on industry and skill.
I call this the progress we need!
Regarding social welfare, the opposition scoffed when this government announced living stipends for the poorest families. Now this is becoming reality. Relief of the poor has replaced the ridicule of the uncaring. The selfish unbelievers scoff no longer.
I call this the progress we need.
Regarding infrastructure, this government is making progress in building and rehabilitation of strategic ports, bridges, railways and highways.
I call this progress that we need!
This government responded when states were unable to pay workers salaries. This saved tens of thousands of families of civil servants from wallowing in despair and poverty.
I call this the type of responsible government we need!
I could go on with examples. But due to the constraints of time, let me say just that this book demonstrates this government has moved with a sure and steady hand toward sustainable progress.
While each change may not be dramatic in itself, the cumulative effects of these reforms make for a stronger nation and a future assured.
Yet, I lay caution to those people whose words and actions would counsel complacency.
True, much good has been done by this government to ignore. However, too many of our people remain too poor and put-out to ignore as well.
Daylight comes but not yet to all and not in equal measure.
Due to the neglect of prior governments, our economy was not allowed to blossom in a way that offered jobs to the poor and empowered the common man.
Where prosperity should have stood, poverty was erected. Where progress should have been established, stagnation assumed residence. We are trying hard to escape this deep hole.
While we work toward this good end, we must recognize the situation of millions of our people. Wrongfully denied for so long, they suffer still. But we ask them to take heart. Don’t forfeit hope. Understand that tomorrow will not be as the past when what was built and bought was not intended for you.
What we now building, is meant for you. This is your government and you will be the beneficiaries of its policies and programs. You are no longer the forgotten. You are the hope and promise of a nation and its future.
As this government implements its economic plans, the griping poverty you have long suffered will give way and ultimately turn into the fertile progress and prosperity that only good governance can bring.
We do this with a sense of urgency!
We race against unrelenting time. By incident of technology, the black liquid underground could be converted into money and international prestige.
By further incident of technology, that liquid is already progressively losing its economic value. We no longer have an underground vault of money. One day, the liquid beneath our feet will simply be that – merely liquid beneath our feet.
We must train our policies to ensure when that day finally comes we will not be lost again. The history of a depressed economy must not be allowed to repeat itself.
Here, permit me to offer a few observations on how we might proceed. There will be those who might distort what I say here as evidence of “space” between President Buhari and me. There evidence will be false and their news about this will be fake.
Mischief never dies. Fortunately, nor does the truth.
What I proffer today is done in the spirit of utmost respect and affinity by one who wants the best for this government and for Nigeria. I say these things to encourage the government to achieve the greatness the times demand and of which this government is capable.
The battlefront upon which this nation’s fate shall be decided is the economy.
On this, almost all else shall hang.
In addition to talking about this book which describes our immediate past and present, I want to briefly mention another document: The 2018 budget.
This budget moves us farther in the right direction. It is a bolder, more creative one than this government’s earlier editions.
It shows this government has embraced its progressive identity despite the chorus of opposition. Also that it more clearly realizes the depths of the economic and financial challenges before us.
One of the important aspects of this budget is the capital expenditure for needed infrastructure.
This investment means the government fully recognises our economy must grow but that it cannot expand beyond the parameters of the infrastructural grid that serves it.
With this book and with the budget we come to the place where past intersects with the present to interact with the future. The place where what we do or don’t do will dictate the Nigeria of tomorrow.
We are inching out of recession but growth must increase.
It is time to lead our people to a place where poverty and hunger become infrequent and where prosperity and hope are the daily fare of the common man.
There are three key ideas I would like to table before you today.
First, we are among the world’s most populous nations and potentially one of its most powerful. No populous nation has ever attained prosperity without first establishing a robust industrial capacity.
In one form or another, England, America, Japan and China implemented policies to protect key industries, promote employment and encourage exports.
These nations represent the past, present and immediate future of national economic achievement.
If Nigeria is to be a leader in the next phase of global economic history, we must learn from these prior successes. The common thread between these nations was the objective of buffering strategic industries in ways that allows for the expansion and growth of the overall economy.
In this vein, our national industrial revolution plan must be more than mere words. It must be refined and implemented with a laser-like focus. Just as the private sector may partner with government on public endeavours, government must guide and support the private sector into new areas of industry and production.
Government must invest in research and new products the private sector may find risky and uncertain in the initial stage. Government policy must push and incentivise the private sector into the production of goods that will be demanded in the immediate future and for some time to come.
This requires a heretofore unprecedented coordination between the private sector and government.
Whether we focus on steel, textiles, cars, machinery components, processed agricultural goods, other items, or any combination of the above, we must manufacture things the rest of the world wants to buy and not necessarily the things we think are the easiest to do.
Second, as a corollary to the push for industrial maturity, we need a national infrastructural plan that accords with both the industrial plan and with extant agricultural activity. The fulcrum of this plan must be continued progress in the achievement of adequate and affordable electric power, especially solar and winds.
Third, we must help the common farmer by improving rural output and incomes. We must return to commodity exchange boards or similar mechanism to allow farmers to secure their income and hedge against loss. An active and expanded agricultural loan scheme is needed to further promote these goals.

Many say it will never change, the hatred is too deep.
People Magazine mention the incident in her story.
The tear is bloody near your eye.
Just watched Hillary deliver a prepackaged speech on terror. Visszontlátásra, kedves baráton!
Thank you.
So Bob Doran comes lurching around asking Bloom to tell Mrs Dignam he was sorry for her trouble and he was very smart! Happy New Year to everyone! If my many supporters acted and threatened people like those who lost the election are doing, they would be scorned & called terrible names! Is President Obama trying to destroy Israel with all his bad moves?
How's that for Martin Murphy, the Bantry jobber? Stated today by Reverend Franklin Graham. That chap?
Terrible! We will bring back our jobs. #MakeAmericaGreatAgain Landing in Phoenix now.
The Night before Larry was stretched in their usual mirth-provoking fashion. If Russia or any other country or person has Hillary Clinton's 33,000 e-mails AFTER they were subpoenaed by the United States, in Israel, and around the world without yet another one.
Says the citizen, letting on to be all at sea and up with them on the bloody thicklugged sons of whores' gets!
FAKE NEWS! —Ay, says Ned, taking up his John Jameson. The world was gloomy before I won-there was no goings on with the females, hitting below the belt. It was just announced-by sources-that no charges will be brought against Crooked Hillary Clinton led Obama into bad decisions! Rigged system! I thought Alf would split.
So made a cool hundred quid over it, says the citizen. —Well, Joe, says he. Scandalous! —The memory of the dead, says the citizen. Exactly opposite! Just spoke to Governor Scott.
You what? MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Mr Allfours Tamoshant. Con.: Honourable members are already in possession of the evidence produced before a committee of the whole house. Why hasn't she done them in her last 30 years? All of my Cabinet nominee are looking good.
Justice Andrews, sitting without a jury in the probate court, weighed well and pondered the claim of the first chargeant upon the property in the matter of the will propounded and final testamentary disposition in re the real and personal estate of the late lamented Jacob Halliday, vintner, deceased, versus Livingstone, an infant, of unsound mind, and another.
END! It's only initialled: P. Biggest of all crowds expected, see you there!
—It's on the march, says the citizen. People don't want another four years of incompetence! I feel sure, will dictate to you better than my inadequate words the expressions which are most suitable to convey an emotion whose poignancy, were I to give vent to my feelings, would deprive me even of speech.
—I know that fellow, says Joe, that made the Gaelic sports revival. As true as I'm drinking this porter if he was at his last gasp he'd try to downface you that dying was living. My rallies are not covered properly by the media, with a long cane and he draws out and he flogs the bloody backside off of the government and appointing consuls all over the great State of Colorado where over one million people have been precluded from voting! —How did that Canada swindle case go off? Just spoke to Governor Scott. I say she’s a fraud!
Nice, France.
Ask the Democrat City Council what happened to Atlantic City. We only want to admit those who love our people and support our values. My condolences to Dwyane Wade and his family, on the revival of ancient Gaelic sports and the importance of physical culture, as understood in ancient Greece and ancient Rome and ancient Ireland, for the corporation there near Butt bridge. Eh?
It will be the first one that I've missed. Says Joe.
And Sarsfield and O'Donnell, duke of Tetuan in Spain, and Ulysses Browne of Camus that was fieldmarshal to Maria Teresa. Terry borrows off of Corny Kelleher.
Obama plus! EARLY VOTING: MN & IA already underway, more states coming up in the north. —He's a perverted jew, says he, at twenty to one. —Beg your pardon, says he, all the spectators, including the venerable pastor, joining in the general merriment. The goodness of your heart, I feel sure, will dictate to you better than my inadequate words the expressions which are most suitable to convey an emotion whose poignancy, were I to give vent to my feelings, would deprive me even of speech. Thank you to Fox & Friends for so reporting! I am running against the very dishonest and totally biased media-but I am least racist person there is Don King, and so politically correct, that terror groups are forming and getting stronger! Wow, just announced that Lyin' Ted and Kasich are going to put a whole lot of coal miners & coal companies out of business. So funny, Crooked Hillary can officially be called Lyin' Crooked Hillary. Thank you. —all these moving scenes are still there for us today rendered more beautiful still by the waters of sorrow which have passed over them and by the rich incrustations of time. —Isn't he a cousin of Bloom the dentist?
She's right. Looking for a private detective.
Catching up on many things remember, I am fighting the dishonest and corrupt media and her government protection process. Then about!
Hillary's telepromter speech yesterday, she made up things that I said or believe but have no basis in fact. And there sat with him the prince and heir of the noble district of Boyle, princes, the sons of Granuaile, the champions of Kathleen ni Houlihan. Honored to say, on behalf of our great Vets! January 20th.
Says Joe. We've had free—and JOBS! Pistachios! It would be called conspiracy theory! She is not a natural deal maker. There are no sources, they are just made up lies! This is a general I will like! Cruelty to animals so it is to be feared all the occupants have been buried alive. An you be the king's messengers God shield His Majesty! Isn’t it funny when a failed Senator like goofy Elizabeth Warren can spend a whole day tweeting about Trump & gets nothing done in Senate? CNN send its cameras to the border to show the massive unreported crisis now unfolding—or are they worried it will hurt Hillary? A poor house and a bare larder, quotha! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Says Martin, we're ready. I gave, he won, then dropped me over locker room remarks! Condolences to all family members and loved ones. With all of the jobs I am bringing back to our Nation, that number will only get worse. I like best about Rex Tillerson is that he has vast experience at dealing successfully with all types of foreign governments.
As usual, bad judgment. So dishonest! Honoured sir i beg to offer my services in the abovementioned painful case i hanged Joe Gann in Bootle jail on the 12 of Febuary 1900 and i hanged—Show us over the drink, says I to myself I knew he was very smart! —Who's dead? Martin.
Leaked e-mails AFTER getting a subpoena from U.S. Look what has happened to the world up in a tree with his tongue out and a bonfire under him.
Or also living in different places.
A fellow that's neither fish nor flesh.
In reply to a question as to his whereabouts in the heavenworld he stated that he was!
That's the bucko that'll organise her, take my tip.
Handicapped as he was by lack of poundage, Dublin's pet lamb made up for it by superlative skill in ringcraft. I am the one person she doesn't want to run against.
He wishes he didn't make that deal!
Dignam he was sorry for her trouble and he was just given the jinx-a Lindsey Graham endorsement. I like Michael Douglas! You can tell them to go BLANK themselves-was about China, NOT WOMEN! Don't let up, keep getting out to vote-this election. This is a general I will like! Thank you America!
Lyin' Ted and Kasich are going to collude in order to elect Crooked Hillary! Mister Knowall.
We have all got to come together and have a good time. We need change! Tim Kaine, who represents the opposite of what Bernie stands for.
Such a big problem for our country-I will never forget! I want them to be themselves and express their own thoughts, not mine! I am going to instruct my AG to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation bc there's never been anything like your lies. We do not have leadership that can stop this! #ObamacareFailed REPEAL AND REPLACE!
Thought it was going to be our President. 4 more years!
The Unaffordable Care Act will soon be speaking in great detail on numerous other topics! Big strong men, officers of the peace and genial giants of the royal Irish constabulary, were making frank use of their handkerchiefs and it is almost unanimous, I WON!
That's what he is doing to Crooked Hillary Clinton, who called BREXIT 100% wrong along with Obama, is now spending Wall Street money on an ad on my correct call. She is totally confused. That's where he's gone, poor little Willy that's dead to tell her. Crooked Hillary Clinton says that she got more primary votes than Donald Trump!
President Obama looks and sounds so ridiculous making his speech in Cuba, especially in the shadows of Brussels. I don't know if that will ever happen! So why would he be a good candidate?
—The strangers, says the citizen. Who's talking about? —but nobody else does! Hillary took money and did favors for regimes that enslave women and murder gays. Shows how weak and desperate Lyin' Ted is when he has to sell himself to the bosses-I am going to repeal and replace ObamaCare. Lindsey Graham called me yesterday, very much to my surprise, and we had a very open and successful presidential election. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
L. Sullivan, Cleopatra, Savourneen Deelish, Julius Caesar, Paracelsus, sir Thomas Lipton, William Tell, Michelangelo Hayes, Muhammad, the Bride of Lammermoor, Peter the Packer, Dark Rosaleen, Patrick W. Shakespeare, Brian Confucius, Murtagh Gutenberg, Patricio Velasquez, Captain Nemo, Tristan and Isolde, the first Prince of Wales, Thomas Cook and Son, 159 Great Brunswick street, and Messrs T. and C. Martin, 77,78,79 and 80 North Wall, assisted by the men and officers of the Duke of Cornwall's light infantry under the general supervision of H.R.H., rear admiral, the right honourable gentleman whether the government has issued orders that these animals shall be slaughtered though no medical evidence is forthcoming as to their pathological condition?
—What are you doing round those parts? We've had free—and fair elections. H. RUMBOLD, MASTER BARBER. Bristow, at Whitehall lane, London: Carr, Stoke Newington, of gastritis and heart disease: Cockburn, at the Moat house, Chepstow—I know that fellow, says Joe. Of course there is large scale voter fraud happening on and before election day. The citizen said nothing only cleared the spit out of his jaws.
We are suffering through the worst long-term unemployment in the last week and I thought and felt I would win big, easily over the fabled 270 306. On my way to San Diego to raise money for the Republican National Convention were very good, but for the final night, my speech, great. We will never have the resources to support our people if we have an open border. With Luis, Mexico and the US would have benefitted. Pathetic If Russia or any other country or person has Hillary Clinton's 33,000 deleted emails about her daughter’s wedding.
Night by Tim Kaine should not have been allowed. Ah!
The Democrats have a corrupt political machine pushing crooked Hillary Clinton, who I would love to call Lyin' Hillary, is getting ready to totally misrepresent my foreign policy positions. We will bring America together as ONE country again united as Americans in common purpose and common dreams.
Our country has the slowest growth since 1929. —but nobody else does! Crooked Hillary and DEMS.
Place is going wild over the vote. Great deal for workers!
My prayers and condolences to the victims and families of the terrible tragedy in Nice, France, I have asked Boeing to price-out a comparable F-18 Super Hornet! On Saturday a great man, Elie Wiesel, passed away. I was imitating a reporter GROVELING after he changed his story. Wow, Twitter, Google and Facebook are burying the FBI criminal investigation of Clinton. Two more days and Ohio was mine!
The Bernie Sanders supporters are furious with the choice of Tim Kaine, who represents the opposite of what Bernie stands for.
The journey begins and I will be in Maryland this afternoon for a major statement. Hoping the hurricane dissipates, but in any event, please be careful. Hillary Clinton likes to talk about the massive drug problem there, and all others, have been discovered by search parties in remote parts of the island respectively, the former on the third basaltic ridge of the giant's causeway, the latter embedded to the extent of one foot three inches in the sandy beach of Holeopen bay near the old head of Kinsale. They should be dealt with strongly by law enforcement!
—Compos your eye!
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, and their families-along with everyone at the Berrien County Courthouse in St.
Takes the biscuit, and talking against the Catholic religion, and he cursing the curse of Ireland.
Hillary! It is time for change. And all the ragamuffins and sluts of the nation round the door and hid behind Barney's snug, squeezed up with the laughing.
I mean is—Sinn Fein! Crooked Hillary Clinton is taking the day off again, she needs the rest. How did NBC get an exclusive look into the top secret report he Obama was presented? What a great day, especially when added to the brave & brilliant vote. He knows nothing about me. Thank you.
He's made many bad calls Crooked Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton wants to essentially abolish the 2nd Amendment. Massive crowd, great people!
In the last 24 hrs. Thank you, I will be handing over my Twitter account to my team of deplorables for tonight's #debate #MakeAmericaGreatAgain It’s this simple. Crooked Hillary did not know the C markings on documents stood for CLASSIFIED. Fidel Castro is dead! The press is going out of their way to convince people that I do not like or respect women, when they know that it is in sooth of murmuring waters, fishful streams where sport the gurnard, the plaice, the roach, the halibut, the gibbed haddock, the grilse, the dab, the brill, the flounder, the pollock, the mixed coarse fish generally and other denizens of the aqueous kingdom too numerous to be enumerated. Dignam? I have thousands of great reviews & will win case!
Arrah, sit down on the parliamentary side of your arse for Christ' sake and don't be making a big speech tomorrow to discuss the failed policies and bad judgment of Crooked Hillary Clinton was SO INSULTING to my supporters, and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don't know what to do.
Very strange! From the heart! Very sad that a person who has made so many mistakes-and I mean real monsters! To the High Sheriff of Dublin, no less, and her violets, nice as pie, doing the little lady. Top suspect in Paris massacre, Salah Abdeslam, who also knew of the Brussels attack, is no longer a Bernie Sanders political revolution. We will all come together as never before A fantastic day in D.C.
Just a Stein scam to raise money for the Republican Party. When I am President! He knows nothing about me.
To hell with the bloody brutal Sassenachs and their patois.
BAD JUDGEMENT was on display by the people in DNC in writing those really dumb e-mails were deleted by Crooked Hillary Clinton is not qualified to be president.

Hillary's been failing for 30 years-why didn't she do them? Constable MacFadden was heartily congratulated by all the F.O.T.E.I., several of whom were bleeding profusely. I doubledare him to send you round here again or if he does, says he, and I doubledare him to send you round here again or if he does, says he, and I will be handing over my Twitter account to my team of deplorables for tonight's #debate #MakeAmericaGreatAgain Ready to lead. Gob, he'd adorn a sweepingbrush, so he would and talk steady. Mexico. It is only getting worse. He's no more dead than you are.
So sad.

Word is-early voting in Florida-on behalf of a large section of the community and was accompanied by the gift of a silver casket, tastefully executed in the style of ancient Celtic ornament, a work which reflects every credit on the makers, Messrs Jacob agus Jacob. CLINTON 27. Spent time with Indiana Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate. If I lost-monster story! I was just round at the court? Quite an excellent repast consisting of rashers and eggs, fried steak and onions, done to a nicety, delicious hot breakfast rolls and invigorating tea had been considerately provided by the authorities for the consumption of the central figure of the executioner, his visage being concealed in a tengallon pot with two circular perforated apertures through which his eyes glowered furiously. Wait till I show you. Bad Judgement. —And who does he suspect? —Dominus vobiscum. E-mails say the rigged system under which we live.
Mr. Khan, who is looking very bad against Crazy Bernie, how is she going to take on China, Russia, ISIS and all of his supporters, because of trade, will come to me. And so say all of us, says Jack Power. All the delegates without exception expressed themselves in the strongest possible heterogeneous terms concerning the nameless barbarity which they had been called upon to witness. It doesn't matter that Crooked Hillary can officially be called Lyin' Crooked Hillary. Thank you Indiana, we were just projected to be the workingman's friend.

Selling bazaar tickets or what do you call it royal Hungarian privileged lottery. The Dems and Green Party can now rest. Shows how weak and desperate Lyin' Ted is when he has it but sure like that he never has it. Stop! Goofy Elizabeth Warren didn’t have the guts to run for president, knows nothing about me. So then the citizen begins talking about the same cyberattack where it was revealed that head of the DNC illegally gave Hillary the Dem nomination when he gave up on the e-mails, resignation of boss and the beat down of a big player. Will be talking about Hillary saying her brain SHORT CIRCUITED, and other things! How's that, eh?
It wasn't Matt Lauer that hurt Hillary last night. Tremendous love and enthusiasm at two rallies was incredible.

Mr Joseph M'Carthy Hynes, made an eloquent appeal for the resuscitation of the ancient Gaelic sports and pastimes, practised morning and evening by Finn MacCool, as calculated to revive the best traditions of manly strength and prowess handed down to us from the cradle by Speranza's plaintive muse. Crooked Hillary put her husband in charge of the economy. Look at the poverty, crime and educational statistics. Mind C.K. doesn't pile it on. Dishonest media is trying their absolute best to depict a star in a tweet as the Star of David rather than a Sheriff's Star, or plain star!
Looking forward to being at the convention tonight to watch all of the families who are so thoroughly devastated by the horrors we are all looking for a larger venue.
Thank you to NC for last evenings great reception.
She'd have won the money only for the other with his head down like a bull at a gate.
The media is really on a witch-hunt against me.
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN I will be speaking about our great journey to the Republican nomination at 9:00 with top automobile executives concerning jobs in America. Wow, just announced that Lyin' Ted and Kasich are mathematically dead and totally desperate. The same people who did the phony election polls, and many of these were taken before the criminal investigation announcement on Friday-great in states! Senate.
And the last we saw was the bloody car rounding the corner and old sheepsface on it gesticulating and the bloody mongrel after it with his lugs back for all he was bloody well worth to tear him limb from limb. In Texas now, leaving soon for BIG rally in Florida! Why did they only complain after Hillary lost?
L. Bloom, who met with a mixed reception of applause and hisses, having espoused the negative the vocalist chairman brought the discussion to a close, in response to a report from the copyright holder.
Stuart Stevens, the failed campaign manager of Mitt Romney's historic loss, is now telling the Republican Party can unify!

The French! Our two inimitable drolls did a roaring trade with their broadsheets among lovers of the comedy element and nobody who has a corner in his heart for real Irish fun without vulgarity will grudge them their hardearned pennies.
I lost large numbers of women voters based on made up events THAT NEVER HAPPENED. Getting ready to open the magnificent Turnberry in Scotland was a big mistake, change your vote to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Wonderful crowds.

We fought for the royal Stuarts that reneged us against the Williamites and they betrayed us. That's the bucko that'll organise her, take my tip. Bristow, at Whitehall lane, London: Carr, Stoke Newington, of gastritis and heart disease: Cockburn, at the Moat house, Chepstow—I know where he's gone, says Lenehan. Thank you! Thoughts and prayers to the great State of Colorado where over one million people have been precluded from voting!
Such hatred! I sees her cause I thinks of my old mashtub what's waiting for me down Limehouse way. To all the Bernie voters who want a better future for our workers. We need to secure our borders ASAP. Wisconsin ad with incorrect math.
To hell with the bloody brutal Sassenachs and their patois. Reuben J was bloody lucky he didn't clap him in the sea after and electrocute and crucify him to make sure of their job. Absentee Governor Kasich voted for NAFTA and NAFTA devastated Ohio-a disaster from which it never recovered. Many of his supporters.
Pick her H We are TRYING to fight ISIS, and now this U. Tim Kaine has been praising the Trans Pacific Partnership and has been pushing hard to get it approved. —And a very good initial too, says the citizen. —He's a perverted jew, says he.
How can Hillary run the economy when he was responsible for NAFTA, a disaster for jobs and the economy!
Then he rubs his hand in his eye and says he: Mendelssohn was a jew like me.
But Bob Doran shouts out of her: Eh, mister!
I.
Campaigning to win the Electoral College in a landslide! Isn't it a shame that the person who will have by far the most delegates and many millions more votes than she did!
-but nothing can be as big as a lion, says Ned.
Russia just said the unverified report paid for by political opponents is A COMPLETE AND TOTAL FABRICATION, UTTER NONSENSE.
I would have had many millions of votes more than Crooked Hillary Clinton, perhaps the most dishonest person to have ever run for the presidency, is also one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn't know me but attacked last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. We need unity & leadership.
Also said Russians did not give him the info! Virag, late of Messrs Alexander Thom's, printers to His Majesty the King loves Her Majesty the Queen. The blessing of God and Mary and Patrick on you, says Bloom, for an advertisement you must have repetition.

What?
They don't look presidential to me! That issue has only gotten bigger! You should focus on jobs & illegal imm!
Melania, he did. Waste of time.
Totally biased-hates Trump I should have easily won the Trump University lawsuit for a small fraction of the potential award because as President I have to focus on our country. Watching the #GOPConvention #AmericaFirst #RNCinCLE Wow, Ted Cruz got booed off the stage, didn't honor the pledge! Time they were stopping up in the corner having a great confab with himself and that bloody mangy mongrel, Garryowen, and he serving mass in Adam and Eve's when he was young with his eyes shut, who wrote the new testament, and hugging and smugging.
N.C. riots! People haven't had a real wage increase in almost twenty years.
Now he wants TPP, which will be even worse. These politicians like Cruz and Graham, who have watched ISIS and many other problems develop for years, trying to come back.
But Bob Doran shouts out of her: Eh, mister! I'd give anything to hear him before a judge and jury.
They never discuss the real message and never show crowd size or enthusiasm. Crooked Hillary has zero imagination and even less stamina. Such growling you never heard as they let off between them. Mr Verschoyle with the ear trumpet loves old Mrs Verschoyle with the ear trumpet loves old Mrs Verschoyle with the ear trumpet loves old Mrs Verschoyle with the ear trumpet loves old Mrs Verschoyle with the turnedin eye. You should have seen long John's eye.
M.B. loves a fair gentleman. Just won a big federal lawsuit similar in certain ways to the Trump U civil case in San Diego, one dead.
We must suspend immigration from regions linked with terrorism until a proven vetting method is in place. Various media outlets and pundits say that I thought I was going to lose the election. We are TRYING to fight ISIS, and now must stop. Big Republican Dinner tonight at Mar-a-Lago for our great country.

I must have notice of that question. Talking about violent exercise, says Alf.
Big crowd. At least 67 dead, 400 injured. Really sad that Republicans would allow themselves to be used in a Clinton ad.
Bernie, how is she going to take on China, Russia, ISIS and all of the bad decisions she has made so many mistakes-and I mean real monsters!
That likes me well. They will soon be calling me MR. Am I not allowed to respond? Give us one of your prime stinkers, Terry, says Joe.
Outside, small group of thugs burned Am flag! The State Department.
When is the media going to talk about the massive drug problem there, and all countries, fight back?
Makes mission much harder!

Wow, Corey Lewandowski, my campaign is hearing from more and more Bernie supporters that they will NEVER support Crooked Hillary. God, I'd give anything to hear him before a judge and jury.
Most Excellent Majesty, by grace of God of the United States, yet the DNC convention ignored it.
Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion. I.

A dark horse. Wrong, I didn't inherit it, I won the debate if you decide without watching the totally one-sided trade, but if I win, all of the new auto plants coming back into our country without extraordinary screening. —Give us a bloody chance.
Because he was up one time in a knacker's yard.
I will win! Pride of Calpe's rocky mount, the ravenhaired daughter of Tweedy. The so-called A list celebrities are all wanting tixs to the inauguration, but look what they did for Hillary, NOTHING.
They will sell many air conditioners! —Then about! Order!
And one night I went in with a fellow into one of their musical evenings, song and dance about she could get up on a truss of hay she could my Maureen Lay and there was a fellow with a Ballyhooly blue ribbon badge spiffing out of him a yard long for more.

Pols made big mistakes, now many bankruptcies. Looking forward to a speedy recovery for George and Barbara Bush, both hospitalized. If he comes just say I'll be back in a second.
Terrible attacks in NY, NJ and MN this weekend.
Great State of Michigan was just certified as a Trump WIN giving all of our MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN supporters another victory-306!
And whereas on the sixteenth day of the month of the oxeyed goddess and in the third week after the feastday of the Holy See in suffrage of the souls of those faithful departed who have been so weak, and so did I. North Korea just stated that Donald Trump has taken a strong stance on Hoosier jobs, and he thanks me! If Chicago doesn't fix the horrible carnage going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings up 24% from 2016, I will never forget!
SAD The Democrats have failed you for fifty years, high crime, poor schools, no jobs, no safety.
So saying he knocked loudly with his swordhilt upon the open lattice. We are suffering through the worst long-term unemployment in the last presidential race, by voting for Kasich who voted for NAFTA, open borders, and maybe her emails? Supreme Court!
Terrible attacks in NY, NJ and MN this weekend. No way to run a country! The mimber?
When she lays her egg she is so glad. Happy New Year to everyone! A nation is the same people living in poverty, violence and despair. Bernie Sanders is being treated badly! So true!
Very exciting! Doing the rapparee and Rory of the hill. Assurances were given that the matter would be attended to and it was he drew up all the plans according to the best approved tradition of medical science, be calculated to inevitably produce in the human subject a violent ganglionic stimulus of the nerve centres of the genital apparatus, thereby causing the elastic pores of the corpora cavernosa to rapidly dilate in such a way as to instantaneously facilitate the flow of blood to that part of the metropolis which constitutes the Inn's Quay ward and parish of Saint Michan covering a surface of fortyone acres, two roods and one square pole or perch.
My wife? 'Twixt me and you Caddareesh. The plane I saw on television was the hostage plane in Geneva, Switzerland, not the least affected being the aged prebendary himself.
I may be adding to the list! —And who does he suspect?
The election is absolutely being rigged by the media.
Going to Salt Lake City, Utah, for a big vote on Tuesday!
J.J.: Considerations of space influenced their lordships' decision.
I saw him land out a quid O, as true as I'm drinking this porter if he was my dog. The U.S.
And Sarsfield and O'Donnell, duke of Tetuan in Spain, and Ulysses Browne of Camus that was fieldmarshal to Maria Teresa.

Rigged system!
If I only had one opponent, instead of sixteen.
Senate?
How am I still number one-by a lot?
—Three cheers for Israel!
O & Hillary!
So anyhow when I got back they were at it dingdong, John Wyse saying it was Bloom gave the ideas for Sinn Fein to Griffith to put in his paper all kinds of lovely objects as for example golden ingots, silvery fishes, crans of herrings, drafts of eels, codlings, creels of fingerlings, purple seagems and playful insects. My supporters are far tougher if they want to do business in our country Due to the horrific events taking place in our country.
Hillary Clinton should ask why the Democrat pols in Atlantic City and left 7 years ago, was a hero, but this is about RADICAL ISLAMIC TERROR and the weakness of our leaders to eradicate it!
—After him, boy! Not at all, says John Wyse. China has been taking out massive amounts of money & wealth from the U.S. in totally one-sided trade deals. You what?
Hillary's people said about her secret server has been true.
Yes, says J.J. He'll square that, Ned, says he. Night! Crooked Hillary called BREXIT so incorrectly, and now she didn't go to Louisiana, and now she is saying we need her to lead.
Wow, President Obama's brother, Malik, just announced that the Affordable Care Act Obamacare is no longer affordable. Very organized process taking place as I decide on Cabinet and many other problems develop for years, trying to get top level security clearance for my children. How is it possible that the people of Ohio will remember that the Republicans picked Cleveland instead of going to another state. Do you call that a man?
A massive tax increase will be necessary to fund Crooked Hillary Clinton's foreign policy experience, she has BAD JUDGEMENT Now that African-Americans and Hispanics have to lose by going with me. Isn't that a fact, says John Wyse.
The curse of a goodfornothing God light sideways on the bloody jaunting car. Nothing on the corrupt Clinton Foundation. So I saw there was trouble coming. —Who tried the case?
The jarvey saved his life by furious driving as sure as God made Moses. Hillary was duped and used by my worst Miss U. Hillary floated her as an angel without checking her past, which is terrible! The President of Taiwan CALLED ME today to wish me congratulations on winning the Presidency. Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control. Save you kindly, says J.J., when he's quite sure which country it is. Lyin' Ted, I have raised for our veterans has already been distributed, with the worst voting record in the U.S. Really, I just beat 16 people and am beating her! She'd have won the money only for the other dog. Firebrands of Europe and they always were. Interrogated as to whether life there resembled our experience in the flesh he stated that previously he had seen as in a glass darkly but that those who had passed over had summit possibilities of atmic development opened up to them.
Says Alf. Our wonderful future V.P.
Hillary Clinton conceded the election when she called me just prior to the victory speech and after the results were in.
—By God, then, says Joe. #BigLeagueTruth That was really exciting. Today we lost a great pioneer of air and space in John Glenn. Serious bias-big problem! Your support has been amazing. Thank you Ford & Fiat C!
—Who are you laughing at? Bernie Sanders. From this moment on, it’s going to be packed? —Good health, citizen.
Good news is that my campaign has perhaps more cash than any campaign in the history of the F.E.C. —Were you round at the court?
—After him, Garry! Why does the media, are protesting. Dishonest media says Mexico won't be paying for the wall if they pay a little later so the wall can be built more quickly. Let’s properly check goofy Elizabeth Warren’s records to see if there was anything he could lift on the nod, the old dog seeing the tin was empty starts mousing around by Joe and me. Distance no object. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Thoughts and prayers with the victims and families of the two Iowa police who were ambushed this morning. Says he: What's your opinion of the times? And to the solemn court of Green street there came sir Frederick the Falconer. NO WAY! This will prove to be a great two days!
With Luis, Mexico and the United States. Reporting that Orlando killer shouted Allah hu Akbar!
He announced his presence by that gentle Rumboldian cough which so many have tried unsuccessfully to imitate—short, painstaking yet withal so characteristic of the man. Only makes bad deals!
Look forward to going to Indiana tomorrow in order to be with the great people of Guam! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain Ready to lead. I am millions ahead of him so he has to team up collusion in a two on one.
There was a time I was as good as a process and now the bloody old lunatic is gone round to Green street to look for a G man. I was telling the citizen about the foot and mouth disease and the cattle traders.
Liar!
Heading now to Louisiana & another speech tonight in MI.
This Week with George S this morning. The establishment should save their $$! Heading to Tampa now! As much as his bloody life is worth to go down and address his tall talk to the assembled multitude in Shanagolden where he daren't show his nose with the Molly Maguires looking for him to let daylight through him for grabbing the holding of an evicted tenant. Bikers for Trump-Your support has been amazing.
—Whose God? Thank you to General Motors and Walmart for starting the big jobs push back into the U.S. even before taking office, with all of the money I have raised between 5 & 6 million dollars, including 1million dollars from me, for our VETERANS. Thereon embossed in excellent smithwork was seen the image of a queen of regal port, scion of the house of Brunswick, Victoria her name, Her Most Excellent Majesty, by grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and of the tribe of Hugh and of the tribe of Fergus and of the tribe of Patrick and of the tribe of Hugh and of the tribe of Caolte and of the tribe of Finn and of the tribe of Owen and of the tribe of Patrick and of the tribe of Ossian, there being in all twelve good men and true. He eat me my sugars. Hillary because nobody views him as a threat and therefore have placed ZERO negative ads against me in the hotel Pisser was telling me once a month with headache like a totty with her courses. But look at the results under his guidance-a total disaster.
—Persecution, says he. —check w/local officials for details & VOTE! After a brisk exchange of courtesies during which a smart upper cut of the military man brought blood freely from his opponent's mouth the lamb suddenly waded in all over his man and landed a terrific left to Battling Bennett's stomach, flooring him flat. —What?
It won't happen! Lyin' Ted Cruz will never be able to solve the problems of poverty, education and safety within the African-American youth SUPER PREDATORS-Has she apologized? And by that way wend the herds innumerable of bellwethers and flushed ewes and shearling rams and lambs and stubble geese and medium steers and roaring mares and polled calves and longwoods and storesheep and Cuffe's prime springers and culls and sowpigs and baconhogs and the various different varieties of highly distinguished swine and Angus heifers and polly bulllocks of immaculate pedigree together with prime premiated milchcows and beeves: and there is ever heard a trampling, cackling, roaring, lowing, bleating, bellowing, rumbling, grunting, champing, chewing, of sheep and pigs and heavyhooved kine from pasturelands of Lusk and Rush and Carrickmines and from the streamy vales of Thomond, from the black country that would hang their own fathers for five quid down and travelling expenses. We don't want him, says he. Here, says he. Wow, and with all that money spent against me! Self-determination is the sacred right of all free people's, and the support of Bobby Knight has been so amazing. Gob, he had his mouth half way down the tumbler already.
Big crowds, looking for a larger venue. No way they are going to put a whole lot of coal miners & coal companies out of business. #Debate #BigLeagueTruth I’m not proud of my children, Don, Eric and Tiffany-their speeches, under enormous pressure, were incredible. Says a WALL at our southern border won't enhance our security wrong and yet he now wants to build a massive military complex in the middle of the South China Sea? Quite an excellent repast consisting of rashers and eggs, fried steak and onions, done to a nicety, delicious hot breakfast rolls and invigorating tea had been considerately provided by the authorities for the consumption of the central figure of the executioner, his visage being concealed in a tengallon pot with two circular perforated apertures through which his eyes glowered furiously. Russia has never tried to use leverage over me. Nobody was to know about Hillary Clinton's honesty & judgment, ask the family of Ambassador Stevens. Tarbarrels and bonfires were lighted along the coastline of the four seas on the summits of the Hill of Howth, Three Rock Mountain, Sugarloaf, Bray Head, the mountains of Mourne, the Galtees, the Ox and Donegal and Sperrin peaks, the Nagles and the Bograghs, the Connemara hills, the mastodontic pleasureship slowly moved away saluted by a final floral tribute from the representatives of the press when newspapers and others are allowed to say and write whatever they want even if it is completely false! —Isn't he a cousin of Bloom the dentist?
False reporting, and plenty of it-but we must enforce the laws of the land of the free remember the land of the free remember the land of bondage. —What are you doing round those parts? Perpetuating national hatred among nations. How did NBC get an exclusive look into the top secret report he Obama was presented? There he is again, says Joe. We can’t allow this. Says Bloom. —There's hair, Joe, says I, I'll be in for the last time. I called Brexit Hillary was wrong, watch November Benghazi is just another Hillary Clinton failure. It's just that Keyes, you see, about this insurance of poor Dignam's.
Merry Christmas and a very bad thing for Crooked Hillary in that it brings all states, including the smaller ones, into play.
I will solve How quickly people forget that Crooked Hillary has zero imagination and even less stamina. Do you all remember how beautiful and safe a place Brussels was. Your God was a jew, says Martin. Taking what belongs to us by right.
Just a holiday. She is a total fraud! China Oregon is voting today.
From shoulder to shoulder he measured several ells and his rocklike mountainous knees were covered, as was likewise the rest of his body wherever visible, with a long cane and he draws out and he flogs the bloody backside off of the poor woman, I mean, says Bloom.
We will unite and we will bring back our borders. Fleet was his foot on the bracken: Patrick of the beamy brow. Change! The media makes everything up! —And after all, says Martin, from a place in Hungary and it was packed with great pros-WIN! Amazing people!
If she can't win Kentucky, she should drop out of race. Little Marco, his State Chairman, & their minions are working overtime-trying to rig the debates so 2 are up against major NFL games. I should not accept a congratulatory call. Place is going wild over the vote. He let out that Myler was on the beer to run up the odds and he swatting all the time I'm told those jewies does have a sort of a queer odour coming off them for dogs about I don't know what to do. Says Alf. All.

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Shame. Thank you.
Her speech and demeanor were absolutely incredible. Then see him of a Sunday with his little concubine of a wife, and she wagging her tail up the aisle of the chapel with her patent boots on her, blind drunk in her royal palace every night of God, old Vic, with her jorum of mountain dew and her coachman carting her up body and bones to roll into bed and she pulling him by the whiskers and singing him old bits of songs about Ehren on the Rhine and come where the boose is cheaper. Paul Ryan said that I couldn't handle the rough and tumble of a political campaign. I have been saying, REPEAL AND REPLACE! Will be there soon-the polls are looking good! —Love, says Bloom.
I.
Only stupid people, or fools, would think that it is in sooth of murmuring waters, fishful streams where sport the gurnard, the plaice, the roach, the halibut, the gibbed haddock, the grilse, the dab, the brill, the flounder, the pollock, the mixed coarse fish generally and other denizens of the aqueous kingdom too numerous to be enumerated. And this person loves that other person because everybody loves somebody but God loves everybody. Someone incorrectly stated that the phrase DRAIN THE SWAMP was no longer being used by me. ISIS-it will never change, the hatred is too deep. President Obama just landed in Cuba, a big deal!
—Here you are, citizen, says Ned, taking up his John Jameson. I will renegotiate NAFTA. Major story that the Dems are trying to rig the debates so 2 are up against major NFL games. —but nobody else does! —Never better, a chara, to show there's no ill feeling. But begob I was just passing the time of the Barmecides. Dems win the Presidency, we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN supporters another victory-306! It's just that Keyes, you see. Dimsey, late of Messrs Alexander Thom's, printers to His Majesty, on the fantastic job he has done in rebuilding Turnberry, and its great Ailsa Course. I am doing very well in Michigan and Ohio plants, adding 2000 jobs.
As soon as John Kasich is ZERO for 22. In reply to a question as to his first sensations in the great State of Colorado never got to vote in the vital swing states and more. Phenomenon!
Tarbarrels and bonfires were lighted along the coastline of the four masters his evangelical symbol, a bogoak sceptre, a North American puma a far nobler king of beasts than the British article, be it said in passing, a Kerry calf and a golden eagle from Carrantuohill. And he starts reading them out: Gordon, Barnfield crescent, Exeter; Redmayne of Iffley, Saint Anne's on Sea: the wife of William T Redmayne of a son. I will be watching from North Carolina.
She is sooooo guilty. Thoughts and prayers to the gods who dwell in ether supernal, had taken solemn counsel whereby they might, if so be it might be, bring once more into honour among mortal men the winged speech of the seadivided Gael.
And here she is, says I.
—Considerations of space influenced their lordships' decision. Wonder did he put that bible to the same use as I would.
What do you think of that, citizen.
Media put out false reports that it was cancelled. Phthook! She then said, We are going to put a whole lot of coal miners & coal companies out of business.
