Alfred veers away from the computer and to the cases of uniforms. Wait, this is where that awful Robin memorial is kept. Because there’s nothing weirder than displaying the suit your son died in.

Jason’s glaring by the time they reach the area. “Why are you showing me–oh.”

“Yes, Master Jason, oh.”

The suit is gone. The display case is still there, but it’s empty. Jason turns to Alfred. “Did you take it down?” That would, at least, be a step in the right direction. He’s alive–alive enough, now.

“I did not. Master Bruce didn’t either. It’s simply…vanished. I was hoping you might have some insight on its disappearance.”

“I wish I did.” He circles the case, tapping the glass, but it’s sealed and clean of tampering at first glance. “I still can’t believe B put up that sign.” A good soldier. Like that’s not a slap in the face. He was–is–was Bruce’s son.

Alfred is silent and his face twists. Jason would almost say it’s discomfort, something he doesn’t see on the butler often. “Alfie? What is it?”

His jaw juts, and then he sighs. “Master Bruce did not put up the sign. I did. It wasn't my intention to–offend you.”

The ground rocks under Jason’s feet but it’s all in his head. “You–why?”

Alfred’s eyes close and he looks away. “Death in the military is commonplace. One does not grow to love it, but they do understand it after serving. It’s a mark of honor to be considered a good soldier. Good soldiers that die–we honor them. We remember their sacrifice. We strive to meet the standards they set. To be a good soldier is to be an example to the other men. To be loved. That is what I wanted for you and why I put those words on the nameplate.”

“I…” Jason trails off, swallowing against the lump in his throat. “All this time, I thought B put it up. I thought he just viewed me as–disposable. Someone in his war against crime.”

a few weeks back i suddenly had a lil kick and remembered I haven't tried making something for Madness Day or really done Madness stuff for a long time even though i still love these violent jellybeans dearly and figured I could redo a concept I did for the last Madness Day i did something for back in 2021.

so naturally i left it until last night to actually do most of the drawing. Jeb, Hank and Tricky have all died a stupid amount of times.

Remaking this post because my old blog got nuked

Hey my old blog @doggirlnarcolepsy got terminated in the recent trans fem tumblr purge, so I'll be posting from this url from now on. Unless tumblr decides to reverse their rash and uncalled for decision, I guess...

Me and my wife have been struggling make ends meet this month and have an unpaid internet and power bill totaling at $225 that urgently need to be paid off or collection agencies will make our life a living hell recouping the charges and fees we will incur. (You can read the original post @queensizeddonger for more detail)

We haven't been able to pick up our hormones or my wife's ozempic yet, as we've been putting aside everything we've received to cover the overdue bills. We've haven't been able to cover groceries either for a while so we've been going days on and off without dinner as our only meal trying to ration what we have left.

Everything has just been so chaotic these last couple of weeks negotiating with utility companies for extensions, barely eating and tumblr nuking my blog out of literally nowhere.. If anyone is able to help out it would be a huge relief for the both of us and we would be incredibly grateful

Trans Curly headcanons are fascinating to me cause like… Jimmy would resent him more for it.

Masculinity is a weird underlying thing in their dynamic where Jimmy feels inferior to Curly about not only their job positions but roles in life. The idea that Curly is the better man who also made himself such would be such a blow to Jimmy’s already fragile and unstable ego. Like it’s not just that he’s just transphobic, he hates Curly’s ability to craft himself into what he wants to be successfully, it not about Curly being afab but Curly still being the better man.

But then he wouldn’t get the self image issues one can face, feeling like an imposter in a space you wanted to be in or even scared to be there. He’d just think Curly always gets what he desires and thinks nothing of it like he always has.

#also like it would be horrifying post crash cause like the implications and themes in the game I won’t get into rn #but this was inspired but a cute ish fic where Anya gave Curly his T shot cause like that’s just cute #and then it’s sad cause maybe I’m thinking Curly didn’t want to think or accept Jimmy would do such a thing because it means he could’ve #done something like that to him and the underlying fears that trans men and masc can have in male spaces of being found out and punished for #it and it’s an interesting thing to think about if it were canon or not cause like what if yknow? like trusting someone with a fact like #that about yourself only to see them torment and dehumanize someone in a way you easily could’ve been and still could be but this ain’t bout #that like Jimmy would have envy and resentment about Curly no matter if Curly was or wasn’t trans or if he disabled before the crash or #whatever cause he just resented Curly for being what he couldn’t be genuinely #mouthwashing #but back to Anya doing his T shot it’s like sad and cute cause it’s like useless now but it’s also so important to him and she’s such a good #friend and nurse to still do it and he has to think about despite all he didn’t do for her she still is doing this little thing for him and #I’ll see myself out on my sadness

“What are you doing this weekend?” Danny’s in a chatty mood.

“I was thinking of egging Wayne Manor,” he deadpans.

“Do you want some help?”

Jason turns to stare at him, trying to figure out if he’s joking or not. He wasn’t actually planning on doing that, but if Danny is on board…

“Sure. You don’t mind throwing eggs at Bruce Wayne’s house?”

“Fuck billionaires.”

The laugh is startled from him, fuzzing into static from the voice modulator. Danny rarely swears which makes the sentiment even funnier. “Yeah, fuck billionaires, man.”

“I thought we were egging the house?”

“Nah, the cars will be better. He’ll have to wash them by hand.” Also, it’s not fair to make Alfred clean the house when it’s Bruce he wants to annoy.

Danny snickers and follows Jason, still holding the eggs. It takes another code to get into the garage and they both survey the rows of cars.

“Billionaires, man,” Danny says. “No one needs that many cars.”
