November Help
good news: electricity is finally back (and holding steady) after milton! pls self do not jinx this by typing that
bad news: milton has ground everything down here to a halt, including trying to move to a safer place.
But we're back on that horse, the horrors and the horrorcitos cannot hold me down. If you're in a position to help I'm very grateful but do not stress if you can't! you're awesome either way. ♥ And like always, I will happily provide fics/moodboards/beta/etc if you want any!
Ko-fi
FOR NOVEMBER: $620/$850
(the tag I always use is #berrybad for blacklisting needs! and if I ever forget, please poke me with a non-pointy stick.)

He tucks a lock of hair behind her ear with a tender smile. “All is well, I promise you,” he murmurs, trailing his finger to wipe away an errant tear and leaning in to brush his lips over the spot. “No more crying.”
In Search of Something More by @kay-elle-cee
Artist Note: this fic!!!! AHHHHH!! It literally kills me in the best way. When Kelsey updated and we graduated to James literally wiping away Lily’s tears?!?! Okay?!?! SLAY??? I just had to put onto paper that moment that they looked at each other and the world JUST BLOOMED. It reminded me of A. the famous dawn in the field P&P scene and B. the lyric “the rest of the world was in black and white, but we were in screaming color”

Contestant makes Groucho laugh (which is no easy feat , kudos to her)
You bet your life! April 4 1957
This is my favorite video of all time , we rarely ever see Groucho truly laughing.
“Groucho needed a Groucho Marx to cheer him up , but he was the only person who couldn’t have one”

My latest postcard for the Marx Brothers Council Podcast! This was sent out to their Patreon subscribers for October.
Blurb on the back of the postcard by Noah Diamond:
The confident line and whimsical wit of Megan Jurek was last seen here in May with the "I Brake for Left-Handed Moths" design. Now, Megan celebrates Groucho's birthday month, noting: "Groucho has the distinction of sporting multiple iconic looks throughout his life. Sometimes I think about 20th century events in the context of what Groucho would have been up to at the time, or how many years he missed them by. For instance, he could have seen the first Star Wars movie!" You can enjoy more of Megan's work megantheartoonist on Instagram and MeganCartoonist on Redbubble. Thank you for supporting The Marx Brothers Council Podcast!

Marx was hospitalized on June 22, 1977, and died there nearly two months later at the age of 86 on August 19. Media coverage of Groucho's death and legacy was overshadowed by the sudden death of Elvis Presley three days previously. Groucho's gravestone bears no epitaph but in one of his last interviews he suggested one: "Excuse me, I can't stand up."
