Hayden often dozes off like this when close proximity with Kuromoya, which does also lead to Hayden's Hex Spirit Yoruga plotting murder because he's protective over his human. (Okay not really, but he tends to keep an eye on Kuromoya 'just in case')

Kuro doesn't really mind that Yoruga does that, which often leads to a conversation of: "Wanna join?" "No, I'm watching you." "Alright, have fun."

Decided to show how Kuromoya's Hex tattoo appears when he's not using his powers. The eye-pattern is still on his shoulders, you just can't see them rn because his robe covers them. Also wasn't lazy this time around and did the BG city scene from scratch, instead of using the one I made earlier lol

Immersed in an aesthetic reflecting aspirations, one finds themselves ensnared within the confines of the everyday, perpetually confronted by the reflection in a puddle of constraints hindering the pursuit of dreams. This utopian setting, crafted within the mind, starkly contrasts with the harsh realities of daily life, fostering a disconnection between one's desired identity and their current existence.

Mentally poised for liberation and the pursuit of aspirations, our protagonist envisions shattering the barriers that confine them. Symbolizing the emancipation from the sensation of entrapment, they pave the way toward the realization of their objectives.

- chiaki has a heightened sense of smell, as well as sharp canines

- their eyes are constantly dilated. they only became like this after the Incident™

- they lost alot of their humanity after they were turned. they have a very loose concept of human gender, modesty, and morals. if faced with a moral dilemma, they will choose whatever they deem to be "the most fun"

- they don't go outside alot, because their family doesn't let them. they have several bounties on their head.

- their species is capable of reviving themselves based off of how many people theyve eaten (ie. if they've eaten 10 people, they can revive 10 times, before theyre dead for good)

- they will go into a cannibalistic frenzy if they go for a while without sufficient food, or if under extreme stress. during this state, they are near uncontrollable and will only snap out of it once sated.

- their eyes were brown before they were turned.

fun backstory time! :

chiaki yoruga was born for one reason, and one reason alone — to solidify the peace treaty between the kumonosu and yoruga families. by marrying the heiress daughter of the kumonosu family, chiaki was had their fate spelled out for them from the beginning. however, chiaki was born female. ravaged by gang wars and desperate for peace, their parents forced them to appear male, training them in everything men of their family needed to know. their parents didn't love them, in fact, they'd never even loved eachother; chiaki's eventual birth was simply a product of circumstance.

chiaki grew up in a cold, uncaring environment for as long as they could remember, until the age of 16, when they were old enough to marry the kumonosu family's daughter. her name was hasaki kumonosu, and chiaki fell for her almost instantly. she showed them things their family had never shown them before — love, attention, and the wonders of the outside world. everything seemed to be going as planned, or even better than planned, until the wedding ceremony came around.

the gods had been watching, and one of them became fixated on chiaki's situation. god watched in silence for sixteen years as chiaki was abused in the name of "peace", and decided to enact a plan. on the night of the wedding ceremony, as the two were saying their vows, chiaki was unknowingly afflicted with a curse. a curse that made them lunge for their beloveds throat at a speed not humanly possible, ripping out her throat with vigorous tenacity. their eyes now wide, pupils dilated like that of a cat who just spied a piece of meat, they chewed and swallowed the flesh like it was a well deserved meal. they didn't snap out of their frenzy until they'd eaten their fill.

though most evacuated the premises as soon as the act occurred, chiaki had managed to slay not only their betrothed, but a few other members of the kumonosu family as well. naturally, this was deemed as an extreme violation of the peace treaty by the kumonosus, and the yoruga family was put under scrutiny. chiaki's family had initially handed them right over, letting them be executed by the kumonosu family for their crimes. it was only when their cold, bloodied flesh began to twist and rope itself back into place, in a grotesque show of healing, did the yoruga family suddenly care about them.

considering them an asset, chiaki was rescued and was put into the yoruga family's protection. they hold a relatively high rank in the family, considering they are the child of the two heads, however they are barred from leaving their family's facility. the kumonosu family, and subsequently, any families in alliance with them were out for chiaki's head.

after being cursed and turned into this creature, a yorukuma, chiaki changed significantly. they grew much more carefree and much less modest, often letting their yukata hang down off of their shoulders, or worse, slide down their waist in public. they seemed to lose all concepts of modesty and morality the moment they were turned. though they've never been in a fight, chiaki is considered to be one of the family's last resort weapons, should they need a bodyguard. considering their abilities and lack of morals, they'd make a perfect killing machine.

until then, however, chiaki roams the facility, seducing the guards into pampering them and giving them attention, casually chatting up victims in the torture rooms, and lounging in the greenhouse. they are regularly supplied with dead bodies to satiate their hunger. if found roaming the hallways, all staff in the building are encouraged to ignore them, and most do, out of fear.

Here's Hayden and Yoruga, the protagonists for this AU and my ultimate mischief besties. I realized that I could just use Yoruga's old design for this AU; I only changed his wings to match Hayden's Hex tattoo, and Yoruga is probably gonna be barefoot. Also shortened Hayden's surname from "Faylune" to "Faye" for this au as I felt his "main" surname is too fantasy-ish.

In general, I think I'll try to focus on my less-used characters for this AU, to make them more central here so that I'd also be motivated to draw them more. Currently, I often have characters I make but then almost never draw, given how they aren't very central for their story.

The setting is a Cyberpunk style city, but its not pure sci-fi, in that there's some fantasy style magic involved - namely Hexes. Special abilities some people are naturally born with/attain somehow at some point in their lives. They have a tattoo somewhere in their body to symbolize this power, though it might not always be visible until activated.

Some rare hexes include a consciousness within it, a spirit that becomes a companion for the person, the relationship can be anything from friendship, to familial, to romantic bond. This type of Hex is difficult to handle however, given you really, truly need to share trust with the spirit, something that can be incredibly hard to do.

Often times Spirit Hex owners just end up taken over and possessed by the spirit, and eventually killed. The trust level is measured with what they call "comparability," and Hayden has an unusually high level of it and has had since birth, close to 95 % which is almost unheard of. (The highest on record is 84 %)

Yoruga - Crime Buddy, Has random stuff in his pocket dimension, from chocolate to chairs to cool hats.

Chouma - you can smoke weed with this one, go play ghost and terrorize unsuspecting peeps with Spooks.

Yaguro - Knows the best places in any town to have a good time in/can get you in for free anywhere + free drinks and food (alternatively, good with kids so can help you babysit or babysit with you)

Mari - Adventure into new places even forbidden ones without anyone noticing (go raid area 51 or smth), flying around up high for the scenery.

You know how to make them all sound like I'd want them to be my bff (as if I don't already want to befriend all your guys lmao) Chouma sounds so much like one of my irl friends it's insane, but I think I'd have to go with Mari! Uruguayan Slang

Uruguayan Spanish is weird and super hard to understand unless you’re from Argentina, and even then it’s hard sometimes. Mixing up syllables, inverting words is something we love to do and every day a new word is invented by someone and quickly becomes popular everywhere because we’re only three and a half millions.

+“Al pedo”- when you aren’t doing anything productive, or anything at all, when something is/was pointless; e.g: “I watched Netflix all day, didn’t write my two essays nor cleaned the house I was al pedo all day”/ “I went to the shop but it was already closed, I went al pedo”/ “I don’t recycle, It’s al pedo, factories will keep on polluting anyways”

+“Alcahuete/ Botón”- used to call someone who doesn’t keep secrets, alcahuete can also be used for people who suck up to their superiors

+“Agarrate Catalina”- it’s a famous band (murga) it’s used to say “brace yourself” or “watch out”

+“Bo”/ “Che” - it’s like hey, used to call someone’s attention, usually used to start a conversation. They’re also really used in Argentina, I think you’ll mostly hear them in Montevideo, the capital, because of its closeness with Buenos Aires

+“Demás”- Great

+“Demenos”- Awful

+“Descansar”- take the piss of someone, annoy them

+“Embole”- Boring/being bored; e.g: “This is an embole” or “I have such an embole right now”

+“Encarar”- squaring up, being brave and facing something, it’s also used to refer for when someone goes to flirt with someone. E.g: “I like that girl, I’m going to encarar her”, “You need to encarar Fulano and make sure he starts respecting you”, “I’m failing all my classes, I’m going to start to encarar so I can pass them”

+“Quilombo”- a mess, it actually meant whore house, but in Uruguay and Argentina is mostly used by young people to refer to something that’s a mess; e.g: “In yesterday’s party everyone started fighting, it was a quilombo” or “I’ve become a quilombo, I need to start organizing my life” (it can also que written Kilombo)

+“Morfar”- to eat

+“Morfi”- food

+“Mal”- means: I know right?, Used to exaggerate something at the end of sentence, e.g: “The shop was so full, mal”

+“Re”- used to enhance something, kind of like super, e.g: “You’re re pretty today”

+“Oso”- pronounced like Oooosssoooo, when someone fails, for example, your siblings tries to hit you but you manage to escape so you shout “Oso!” to enrage them in the knowledge that they failed to accomplish that, it can also be used for when you barely escape something or catch something before it breaks, it’s an “I almost failed but I didn’t cause I’m awesome”

+“Ratearse”- cutting classes, skipping school

+“Rompe bolas”- “ball breaker”, someone who’s annoying

+“Rompe huevos”- “egg breaker”, same meaning

+“Pa triqui”- go behind, for example when someone cuts the line “hey! Go pa triqui!” (Bo, anda pa triqui)

+“Ta”- it’s like Ok, all right

+“Yoruga”- it means Uruguayan but the syllables are mixed, something Uruguayans love to do is to mix up the syllables of a word to make new ones
