OH MY GOODNESS LOOK AT YOOGEUN! He is 16 already and just graduated middle school. What a fine handsome young man he has grown into! Seems like just yesterday he was on Hello Baby with SHINee and looked like this

The sky is a near-cloudless blue. There’s a slight crispness in the air that perks the hair follicles on Yoogeun's forearms as he rides, but the sunlight warms his skin and keeps him from shivers; it truly feels like winter has given way to spring, and he’s glad that it has.

He's meeting up with Takumi at a nearby park, to teach him how to ride a bike, of all things. He can't remember now how it had even come up, he just remembers being stunned that Takumi had never learned, and he'd offered to show him how. He knew of a few nice bike trails, and it was a good excuse as any to spend time with the other boy without feeling like he was being overbearing. He felt like he was at real risk of being such as of late; he'd taken a liking to Takumi and wanted to get to know him more, but he also didn't want to come on too strong.

He rounds a corner and spies Takumi up ahead, standing in the dappled shade of a tree beside a charming old bicycle, the kind you'd expect to have a basket attached to its front, or that a rascally boy in a 1950s sitcom may have ridden. Yoogeun immediately feels a little underdressed, although he supposes that's always how it is with them; Takumi's always dressed rather cutely and he just sort of throws whatever on, prioritizing comfort and ease over any real sense of style.

Yoogeun admires Takumi's shape from behind, his eyes tracing along the lines of his form, making note of how nicely his clothes seemed to fit him and of how cute his legs were.

Takumi must hear him as he approaches, his head turning, and when their eyes meet, Yoogeun feels like he's been caught, somehow. What he's been caught in, he isn't sure of, but he does flush warm, leaning back and taking his hands off of the handlebars, slowing as he approaches and leaning into a slight turn towards where his friend was stood, hoping somewhere deep down that Takumi found it kind of cool that he didn't even need to really steer.

"Hey." he greets Takumi softly with a bit of a smirk, "You okay? It's a little cooler than I thought it'd be, but it's still nice, right?"

As promised! blurbs about the rest of my muses. I am pretty sure I've gotten back to everyone who liked my last post, but obviously feel free to hit me up if we haven't begun to plot. 🎔

Tyson had a pretty ordinary childhood. Kind of. He was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland. His father works in some kind of lobbying-adjacent role in DC that Ty doesn’t fully understand, and was always at banquets and fundraisers or otherwise in the capital as often as he was home with his family. His mother is a homemaker obsessed with DIY. Oh, and his sister’s a famous Kpop star!  Tyson’s an embarrassment. He has a knack for being drawn to that which others inevitably label cringe. He’s the world’s oldest iPad baby, grew up on Minecraft and Roblox and Discord, went full-tilt into a furry phase that lasted through high school and into which he sunk thousands of dollars. He’s penned a number of Five Nights at Freddy’s and Undertale and Homestuck fanfics, and owns a not-so-small collection of FNAF and Poppy Playtime plushies. As of now, he lives in the artists' share house, doing digital art commissions for money and trying to figure out a way to stream without totally pissing off his housemates.

PLOTTING POINTS: Tyson lives in the (haunted) share house. Roomies?

Yeongsu moved from Gwangju to Seoul just over a year ago to study film. Growing up, he found it difficult to slot himself into the world, and struggled with befriending his peers on account of an innate social awkwardness; he's not great at reading body language and social cues, and that makes it difficult to navigate relationship. He was hoping to find some kindred spirits to connect with, although that hasn't quite happened for him. It doesn't help that he's flat broke and works a bunch of jobs.

PLOTTING POINTS: Classmates? Yeongsu hangs around the indie music scene a bit. He also works two days a week in a muse store and another two days in a convenience store. Co-workers (past or present)? Exes?

It was in Austin that he spent his childhood, although his parents were busybodies that refused to settle. Not out of any malicious impulse, but more because having a stable of international businesses sort of necessitates a constant motion. 

Yoogeun learned to just...go with the flow, to focus on himself and the things he could control; the things in his own orbit. Tuck your arms in and cross your legs and let the water take you where it will.

He's terminally chill, and yet, he's a rather disciplined person, running miles every morning, and swimming laps every afternoon. The burn of chill morning air in the lungs, the scent of chlorine in a hotel pool or where it lingers in his hair, these are the same wherever he goes, and he's come to rely upon this routine, even as he himself has settled down, attending university in Korea.

The older he gets, the more islands he comes across; people he wants to hold onto, experiences he wants to have, and he wonders if it is time to resist the tide, or if he even can.

I had a dream where Onew, Jonghyun and I was babysitting Shinee's hello baby Yoogeun and then I remember Jonghyun saying "Yoogeun-ah please don't wander off the streets by yourself if something bad happens to you Minho appa is going to kill me,"

and Onew asked me if I had the boba tea and bubble waffle

"No I think we left it at the shop, because you made us chase after Jonghyun and Yoogeun when they ran off" I glared at Onew.

Onew then says"Hey, it's not my fault!"

My friend's little sister had a dream involving the hello baby series but Yoogeun was older and Shinee were babies. Particularly Minho and Taemin. You may have to ask her about it though but yeah, your dream seems cute. I hope nothing bad happens to him though...

Yoogeun and Saem had known each other relatively briefly in their youths, having taken piano lessons together for a couple of years during one of the periods Yoogeun's parents had moved them back to Korea. He was pretty sure it was his mom's doing that time; the company she worked for had acquired a new brand that operated primarily in Asia, and she'd needed to be more centrally located for a bit, or something like that.

Saem had always been sort of funny to Yoogeun; even when they were young, he was uptight, and finicky in the way you only really saw with rich old ladies. It had been fun to reconnect with him on account of this, even if Yoogeun sometimes worried that he was the one really pushing; he just wanted friends, having had none in Korea when he started university.

Today they'd decided to meet up for coffee, which Yoogeun hated. He'd happily gone along with Saem's suggestion, though, because he assumed whatever café they ended up in would have something for him. Although, in fairness, he'd not drunk much coffee; his dad hadn't allowed it in the house as he had this whole thing about "caffeine being the only drug everyone was okay with being addicted to" and had some weird mushroom blend he insisted upon instead. The mushroom water tasted like mud and the only coffee Yoogeun had ever had taste like soot, and he wasn't impressed by either.

He gets a text from Saem with stiffly textbook grammar to the effect of "I have arrived" but he ignores it as he's just around the corner, anyways.

Saem's still looking at his phone as Yoogeun approaches him, and he flinches rather severely when Yoogeun gives him a friendly smack on the behind.

"Damn..." Yoogeun mutters with a soft chuckle, taken aback by how pert and stone-hard Saem's hindquarters were, hard enough that he almost felt like he could have bruised his hand had he slapped him any harder, "You've got a tight ass. And I'll need your help picking out something to drink, I don't know anything about coffee."
