Ymir: She's more of an archer, but she always has a knife in reach for hand-to-hand combat. Beauty in simplicity, though the knob is shaped after the rose Alistair gifted her so she can always have the memory near her.

Keti: A regular dagger will do the job. It's a weapon to kill people, there's nothing fancy about that. She will use it until it breaks, then find another one. She cleans the blood off though, otherwise it doesn't stab cleanly.

Alim: Before he was taken away by the Templars, his sister gave him a small sword. He kept it throughout the years, enchanted and decorated it, and although it lost its sharpness, it's very effective as a bludgeon -- much to Cassandra's horror no Alim you do NOT hold it by the blade!!

Tzipporah: She had regular daggers until she discovered she could carve runes into it. A flaming knife is way more effective at killing people :) Alim enchanted a dagger for her when they moved to Skyhold, and she kept it with her ever since.

Ymir Brosca: 6/10 - We're getting there

Ymir has only ever been cuddled by Ricah when she was little, and it became scarse with age. So at the beginning of DAO, touch either means fight or sexual favour, not something positive, hence why she feels a little out of depth when the mabari insists on cuddling her at night. Turns out she is extremely touch-starved, so yup now it's cuddling non-stop with her dog at night, though it takes some time to realise you can actually cuddle people too. Once she trusts her friends enough, it's game on. She's a little clumsy at this "cuddling business," but she makes it up with enthusiasm.

Galenos Amell: 11/10 - Marshmallow Carebear

Look at this man and his lovely bosom (thanks, Zevran). He's used to sleep in cuddle piles back at the Circle with all the kids piled on him, he's the softest pillow to ever exist and he doesn't snore! What's not to love? Though he will blow a raspberry on your cheek to wake you up, which more often than not evolves into pillow fights. He didn't have the chance to grow up with his siblings, so he's making up for lost time with all the love he can give (turns out Zev LOVES to be cuddled by his big squish tummy man).

Sulemadin Surana: 1/10 - Hissing feral cat

Oh boy. Unless you're Galenos or Morrigan (and later Kieran), you do NOT touch her. And cuddle? No thank you. She had almost no personal space in the Circle with all the promiscuity and now that she's outside she intends to savour every bit of it. She's not good with touch in general but she hides it rather well (show no weakness is her motto), until she literally traces a repulsive glyph around her tent so she can cool down in peace. She will rather show reassurance by petting and braiding hair, like she does with Galenos and later Morrigan (who discovers she really enjoys it).

Sotos Hawke: 7/10 - Mind the soot

Being non-verbal, Sotos mostly expresses himself by touch. Hugging, cuddling, nuzzling, petting your hair, tracing the outlines of your face (or pinching you when he's done with your shit lol), you name it, he does it all. But that's on HIS terms. He's pretty much like a cat: he gives affection but doesn't like receiving it too much. You need cuddles? Here he comes. You hug him out of the blue? He will be frozen for a second, but if you're someone he trusts, he will relax. Bring a handkerchief though, he will definitely smear soot on your clothes.

Keti Hawke: 4/10 - You tried

It's not that Keti doesn't LIKE cuddles, she's just. Not very good at it. She will either act too stiff or squeeze too hard and the moment will turn out rather uncomfortable. She's basically the "awkward sibling hug" from Gravity Falls. If you're sleeping on her chest you're pressing down on her stomach, she tries to move and accidentally bangs her knee against your crotch... You get the idea. When her friends are feeling down, she puts a blanket on their shoulders and sits next to them.

Alim Trevelyan: 9/10 - Wet therapy dog

Puh-lease. You think this chronic insomniac WOULDN'T comfort young apprentices having nightmares in the middle of the night with a good herbal infusion and some nice hugs? He basically adopted all the children at the Circle! Sure, he may be a sad wet dog, but he's a cuddly sad wet dog. You need physical reassurance? Here he comes! Yeah, okay, he looks like he's gonna cry but he's fine, promise, he's not uncomfortable or anything, that's just the way he looks.

Tzipporah Lavellan: 8/10 - Chill out, Mama bear

What it says on the tin. She's a very aggressive cuddler but that's because she's used to rowdy children who all want a turn at the cuddle machine and she has to wrestle them before it can escalate into a fistfight. She WILL pin you under her arm like a squeaky toy until you settle down (or just accept your fate lmao). She learns to control her strength through time though, and she is basically an impenetrable rampart. Her friends fall asleep feeling safe AND nicely cuddled, knowing there is someone literally protecting their back.
