To Akira, so recently I got this coffee press and I'm going to give you a choice to pick what coffee I drink every morning from here on out.
Option one, single-origin Ethiopian Yirgacheffe beans, medium-light roasted for 10–12 minutes. Steeped for 4 minutes at just below boiling, with oat milk. ORRRR- Option two with Brazilian Cerrado and Sumatran Mandheling beans, dark roasted for 14–16 minutes, coarsely ground. Brewed for 5 minutes at near-boiling, with whole milk and brown sugar.
Tumblr media
That's a hard question, they both sound good. Why don't you flip a coin to see? Option 1 is heads and option 2 is tails.

【Yirgacheffe Gr.2】
https://www.instagram.com/p/DD566WJKeNL/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Emang paling bener weekday itu gak usah cek grup whatsapp kantor. Wkwkw. Memengaruhi mood kek naik kora - kora.
Sumpah! Hahahahaha. Sabaaaaar.
Btw ini forbidden flower aku hanya bisa mencium aroma hint Lavendernya tipiiis. Sama ada jasminenya juga. Guavanya sih belum kecium ya. Apa kerasa di rasa asemnya? idk. But, I will find another bean that suit me well, other than Yirgacheffe. Gayo kan aku belum bisa minum karena SANGAT ASAM.

The latest coffee nerd fuel splurge, with Clever Dripper waiting in the background. ☕
I had been feeling just broke enough to hold off on buying more specialty coffee for a while especially with some I hadn't tried yet still stashed in the freezer. But, Koppar managed to tempt me with a Velveeta mail about this year's limited edition Easter coffee.
Which they promptly sold out of before I gave in a few days later, but oh well. Instead, I decided to grab some of these other Ethiopian beans which sounded promising. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (Natural processed, from Yirgacheffe.)
Tumblr media
And also a bag of these darker roasted Sumatran beans, because they sounded interesting and a second bag meant free shipping.
Tumblr media
About to try that first, since the other bag was roasted 3 days ago and still needs some resting time.

So fun add-on from a former barista and spouse of a coffee snob. Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, a regional bean often roasted medium (but depends on the roaster) is kind of known to have a strong blueberry note. So really, this blueberry addition, while seeming odd, is really not that bizarre. Mister has tried roasting it at home several times and his bar for a successful roast is how well developed the blueberry notes are.
And this has been Random Useless Information™️ with Dawn.
one time this nondescript guy came into my dunkin donuts and ordered a small black coffee with blueberry flavor shot, and for some reason that peculiar order stuck with me so much that when, seven months later, i saw him in the parking lot walking towards the door, i quickly made a small black coffee with blueberry flavor shot. he ordered it and i was already holding it.
i would describe his demeanor that second time as “incredulous”
