#negativity cw#father mention cw#my dad’s driving has gotten very erratic in the last few years#He’s always been a fast driver#But since 2018 or so he’s gotten very rash#Always speeding even when it’s raining/road is winding/etc.#Yesterday we went to visit my sibs at university and we got honked at twice by other cars because he made a rash maneuver#Every time I’m in the car with him at the wheel I say at least 5 times ‘papa can you PLEASE slow down PLEASE’#my mom has noticed it too and agrees with me#That it’s gotten worse in the last few years#He had two major hospitalizations in 2018/19 and surgeries#She speculates it might have changed his brain/affected his psyche#maybe or maybe not#Anyway the reason I’m venting is yesterday my mom had a sit-down with him where she told him his driving has gotten worse#And she said ‘the kids have noticed too’#And he said ‘[alia] doesn’t count’#🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄#because out of the six of us I’ve always been the most cautious/slowest driver (to my family’s irritation)#so he just thinks I’m overly paranoid#my grandfather/his dad passed away last week and he’s heading to India on Wednesday for the funeral#so my moms waiting until after he comes back to pick up the conversation#but I’m kind of annoyed rn
