Dusk had fallen on the gardens of Heartslabyul, the only light coming from golden glows in lanterns with twisted poles and windows in frames of warped proportions. Riddle watched as the last of the hedgehogs scurried around and burned off their energy, darting through the single square of light sporadically like pink and blue missiles. The others were already tucked away in their cubbies, snoozing comfortably and ignorant to the ruckus of their rowdy friends. Watching the hedgehogs always calmed his nerves. Their cute faces, the sweet little noises they made, the ability to count and double count them to ensure those on hedgehog duty did their jobs correctly…it was all methodic and peaceful. A perfect way to end the day.

From inside the dorm, somebody must have moved from the window, allowing another stream of light to fall over the grass. Something glimmered and caught Riddle’s eye, the contrast between the mysterious object and the matte wire fencing surrounding the hedgehog pen quite noticeable in the light. Picking it up, he saw that a bracelet had been resting across the top of the wire fencing. Short three-link sections of gold chain connected many bright red rose beads about as large as the tip of his thumb. Upon further inspection, Riddle noticed that the claw end of the clasp was stuck. It took more than a few tries for him to finally push the latch and shut the clasp entirely. That must have been how it fell off.

Even if the hedgehog pens were a completely inappropriate place for jewelry, the fact that it matched the rose gardens did soothe his ire a small amount. Sighing, he stood and decided now was as good a time as any to head inside. The bracelet probably belonged to one of the members of his dorm. If he remembered correctly, you were also still in Heartslabyul, having been granted special permission to stay a while later than most guests in order to tutor your friends for an upcoming test. Perhaps, with your connections throughout the school, you would know the owner of the bracelet.

Just as Riddle walked through the main doors, he saw you walking down the stairs with your bag over your shoulder. Your hair was a bit messy and you were straightening out your uniform, which was a bit rumpled from a long day of studying (and undoubtedly other chaos that you managed to fall into). Riddle closed his hand around the bracelet, hoping to refrain from fussing with your uniform. As cute as you looked, it was unbecoming of you to walk all the way to Ramshackle looking so unkempt. 

“Heading home, Prefect?” He asked. You looked up from your blazer and your eyes cleared, as if you had been in a haze.

“Yeah, we finally decided to call it a night,” You answered. Although he was unsure if he was deceiving himself, Riddle swore you descended the stairs a little bit faster as you walked towards him.

“Shall I expect stellar grades on this next alchemy exam?”

You grimaced. “You should expect Ace and Deuce to insist they tried their best.”

Riddle smiled at that. If only you could impart some of your pleasantness upon your friends. Still, you were clearly doing what you could. No matter what their grades came to be, the fault would only lie with them. 

Noticing you were about to walk past him and leave, Riddle lifted a hand to stop you. “Ah, actually, before you go, do you happen to know to whom this belongs?”

The bracelet caught in the light as he held it up, appearing for a moment more yellow than rose gold. Instantly, your face lit up in recognition, and you held out your hand.

“Oh, that’s mine! I was wondering where it was,” you answered, shifting on your feet and smiling at him.

Riddle wasn’t sure what hit him. All he knew was that he was incredibly nervous when you were around, and his ability to remain calm in your vicinity the past few days was owed to his ability to rule on autopilot and sheer luck. That luck was running out, it seemed, because Riddle took a long look at your outstretched hand as if he didn’t know what to do with it. Then, carefully, he took the bracelet and looped it around your wrist.

His slim, gloved fingers brushed over the sensitive inside of your wrist as he slipped the clasp into one of the open links. You were suddenly thankful he wasn’t pressing down, certain that he’d be able to feel your heart racing through your pulse point. He must have forgotten about the broken clasp as he fiddled with it, eyebrows furrowing slightly. Sighing, he used one hand to keep the clasp in place and the other to grab your hand, gently pulling you closer so he could have a better angle. After a few more attempts, Riddle finally managed to shut the clasp with a faint click! Satisfied with his work, his expression softened and he grabbed your hand again, turning it over and admiring the bracelet.

“I’m sure Sam has clasps available at the Mystery Shop. You should be able to fix it with those and a pair of pliers,” he offered, looking up at you with a smile. All you could do was gape, watching him with wide eyes and a flushed face. “Is something wrong…?”

Your words got lost somewhere on the path from your brain to your mouth, so you let your gaze flicker down once. Riddle followed your instructions, looking down and realizing he was still holding your hand in his. Instantly, his face turned red enough to match his hair as his eyes darted from your joined hands to your face and back again. After a few moments, Riddle let go of your hand like it burned him, barely keeping himself from stammering.

“F-forgive me…” He started, taking one step back and then another. “Um. Make sure you get that fixed! In the hands of the wrong animal, it could spell serious trouble!”

Without offering you much of a chance to respond, Riddle hurried up the stairs beside you, mumbling something beneath his breath. However, halfway up the staircase he paused, turned, and looked at you still frozen in place. His face faded to a bright pink, even after he cleared his throat.

“And, of course…have a nice night, Prefect.”

• • • • • • • Ruggie Bucchi

Ruggie had an eye for valuable things. He knew to keep his eyes sharp for the glint of any lost or discarded objects that might prove to be of worth, even in the most unexpected places. People threw away lots of things when they could afford to follow trends, and they lost even more when they could afford to be careless. With the many rich boys he went to class with, he wasn’t surprised to see a shimmer kicked to the side of the hallways.

Scurrying in before some other vulture could stake a claim to his prize, Ruggie quickly bent down and swiped the thing that caught his eye. A few moments later, he grimaced. It clearly was some kind of cheaper metal and fake gems. Figures. Shrugging, he pocketed it and decided to run down a list of potential clients anyway. Surely there were a few suckers who didn’t know their fine jewelry from costume jewelry and would take the bait if he sold it hard enough…and went a little lower in price than what he was expecting.

After filtering back into the flow of students walking to their first class, Ruggie brushed at a faint tug on his uniform sleeve. Looking to the side, he grinned when he realized it was only you. Well, only wasn’t the right term - though he wouldn’t admit it, Ruggie considered himself quite fortunate to be on the receiving end of your highly-coveted attention.

“Morning,” You yawned. Drowsiness settled in on your features, and Ruggie felt his ears twitch in agitation.

“Woah, did Grim keep you up muttering about tuna again?” He asked. Even though your movements were just a bit slower than usual, your whole body tensed immediately at his words. Did you think you could hide from him? The thought would’ve been cute, if he wasn’t a little worried.

“No, nothing like that,” You admitted. “I lost something yesterday and I was out late looking for it. Then I was behind on my assignments…and that kept me up.” As if to accentuate your point, you yawned again. 

“What did you lose? Maybe I could keep an eye out for it.”

“Would you?” 

“Of course!” He protested, his offense only half a joke. It should be clear by now that he’d take care of you like he did himself…

Having reached the door to your morning class, you stopped. Ruggie did the same, ignoring how the people around him huffed and shot you both dirty looks for blocking the middle of the hallway. “So, it’s just a cheap little gold thing with brown gems in it. I wore it yesterday and noticed it missing after dinner, but it could’ve been gone for longer.”

Ruggie’s tail, which had been swishing happily behind him, suddenly stilled. You paid no attention to that and reached out to squeeze his arm before turning away. “It’s not a big deal if you can’t find it, but I appreciate the extra eyes.”

Before he could decide what to do, you slipped into your classroom.

The rest of the day, Ruggie spent his class time toying with the necklace that now seemed to be burning a hole in his pocket. It was just as you had described: inexpensive metal, the charm a bar lined with brown rhinestones. He wondered if you purchased the necklace because it reminded you of his dorm - that was the first thing that popped into his mind when he saw it. Or maybe you were just a fan of more earthy tones, or whatever Vil called them.

Part of him still wondered if he should try to sell it. Singling out a gullible guy looking for a quick gift for a sister or mother wouldn’t be too hard. You even said yourself that you wouldn’t mind if you couldn’t find it. Clearly, the necklace wasn’t anything too sentimental that you couldn’t bear to part with it. Surely you’d appreciate it if he found himself with a little extra pocket cash to take you on a date or something, right? But then again, you did spend a solid portion of your night trying to find it…

With a huff, Ruggie clutched his hand around the chain. He already knew his plans for profit were out the window when you mentioned what you were looking for. Even if it wasn’t something he was ready to admit, he was long beyond the point where he couldn’t imagine betraying you, even for an extra stash of cash.

As soon as his classes were over, Ruggie began the process of sniffing you out. He didn’t have to search for long - you were sitting on a bench in the courtyard, leaning one elbow on the armrest and supporting your drowsy head with it. Keeping his footfalls light, Ruggie snuck up behind you and didn’t make a noise until he was holding the necklace in front of your face.

You startled, but lifted your head so he could fasten the necklace around your neck anyway. The cool metal pressed against your neck, and before you could reach your hands up to help, Ruggie wordlessly brushed your hair away from the back of your neck. As he clasped the ends together, his fingers barely brushed against the back of your neck. Every little hair stood on end, and your whole body shivered. Part of you wondered if he was purposely teasing you, but it seemed unlikely, as he didn’t mention it.

Moving your hair back behind your shoulders, Ruggie finally said, “I found your necklace.”

“Thanks, Ruggie,” You answered, leaning your head back so you could see him. Maybe your upside-down perspective was making you see things, but you swore you could see his ears droop slightly as he got flustered. “I knew I could count on you.”

At that, Ruggie quickly averted his gaze. Oh, he was definitely flustered. “And I know I can count on you to compensate me for my services, yeah?”

…but he was still endearingly difficult, it seemed.

• • • • • • • Jamil Viper

For about the fiftieth time, Jamil wondered if he should say something.

You weren’t as slick as you thought you were. The entire time walking to the Mystery Shop, you kept reaching up and tugging at your earlobe, rubbing it and pressing against something like you were trying to alleviate some kind of pain. Perhaps others didn’t notice - not everyone in school was the observant type - but he was, and notice he did. It didn’t help that hanging from your ears was a shiny pair of earrings that caught the light every time you pushed them around.

It was a strange change that you decided to make, though Jamil had no doubt it was due to Vil’s newfound presence in your life after VDC. There had been many hours dedicated to the importance of appearance and accessorizing during their training camp, and you had the strange tendency to be everybody’s favorite pet project after they got to know you. The earrings had to be his idea, though it didn’t appear as if he actually supplied you with any to wear. Jamil found upon his first close inspection, earlier in the day, that the earrings were in fact clip-ons and barely more than costume jewelry that Vil wouldn’t be caught dead owning. Considering the open secret that was your financial situation, that made sense. 

That didn’t mean that they weren’t eye-catching, however. The deep red stones, set loosely in a gold, drop-shaped frame, looked nice on you. Jamil couldn’t explain it, but he felt as if you deserved to be ornamented beautifully, if that’s what you wanted. Or maybe he just liked having an excuse to be caught looking.

He caught you raising your hand again and, before he could stop himself, reached out to block your hand from fiddling with the jewelry. When you glanced at him to ask what was wrong, he met your eyes with a scathing look that was practically a lecture in itself. “You don’t have to wear anything uncomfortable. Beauty isn’t really pain, no matter how convincing Vil may be.”

You laughed, letting him know he correctly guessed the heart of the situation. “I already bought them, though, so I should at least get my money’s worth.”

“Sunk cost fallacy,” Jamil responded in a deadpan manner. You matched his tone with your own flat expression, which he quickly relented to. “Alright, give them here. I might have a solution.”

Even though you looked at him dubiously, you reached up and removed the earrings, handing them off without question. Jamil looked at them carefully before nodding and patting his pockets. When he pulled out a small bag with tiny, pre-cut foam pads, you widened your eyes in a silent demand for answers.

“Some of Kalim’s earrings are clip-ons,” Jamil explained without looking up. Instead, he placed a foam pad on each side of the earring, so both sides of your ear would be cushioned. “He’s very sensitive to the pinching feel, so I keep these on me when he wears them.”

“Oh,” you muttered. “You really are prepared for anything.”

He shrugged. “There’s another trick that might help, too.”

Suddenly, Jamil took one step so that he was directly beside you. He brushed your hair behind your ear, his touch light enough on the sensitive skin that you had to fight back a shiver. It was hard to ignore that he was close enough that you could barely feel the ghost of his breath on your neck. For a moment, you worried about how your profile might look, but any fleeting thoughts of insecurity washed away when Jamil gently tugged on your earlobe and clipped the earring on. A few seconds later, he let go and waited for you to tell him if it felt uncomfortable. When you stayed silent, he moved to the other side and did the same thing, carefully pulling on your ear and slowly clipping the earring. 

A second later he was in front of you, grabbing your chin and tilting your head from side to side, checking to see if his work was even and admiring the shine of the earrings in the sunlight. “There. Now they shouldn’t…”

Jamil trailed off, suddenly remembering himself. As he stepped back, further than he was before you even started talking, you thought that he left with enough grace it was almost as if he teleported away from you. You pressed your hand to your face, feeling the warmth and hoping your embarrassment didn’t show. Jamil coughed awkwardly into his shoulder.

“Excuse me. I’m just used to checking Kalim, to ensure he maintains a neat appearance.”

You didn’t call him on his bluff, but you could guess he didn’t hold Kalim’s face - or look at him, for that matter - so tenderly.

• • • • • • • Rook Hunt

The unusual object on the desk in front of his seat caught Rook's attention as soon as he walked into the room. As he tugged on his lab coat, he made a beeline for the small ring pushed to the edge of the desk. It was a dainty, intricate thing, a band of black tangling thorns dotted with small blue and red gemstones like winter berries all throughout. It would be hard for the owner of such a distinctive ring to remain anonymous, even if they weren't someone Rook purposely sought out more than others.

But he knew the hands this ring belonged to. They were lovely hands that he spent a long time admiring. They were hands that fought valiantly to protect the school and care for those burdened by blot. They were hands he wished to hold and kiss and press to his chest in demonstration of his ferociously beating heart! 

What luck that, in a school full of potential thieves and ne'er-do-wells, it was he who found your precious ring! Rook tucked it safely in his pocket with a silent vow to return your belongings as soon as class was finished for the day.

By the time Rook had a moment to spare to search for you, the sky was cast in a golden-orange glow, not quite sunset but beautiful all the same. It was difficult to say where you might be - after all, he was normally back at his dorms helping Vil at this time, rather than with you - but he remembered all of the stories you told him. If you were following any kind of pattern, you should be joining your friends after their club meetings, walking them to the hall of mirrors or perhaps even your dorm. With that in mind, Rook started towards the practice field, hoping to intercept you along the way.

He found you in the shade of the tunneled entrance to the field, chatting with Ace with your back turned. Ace was slumped against the wall, sitting with his legs straight out and guzzling water from a bottle. Rook allowed his footsteps to echo in against the stone passage, drawing your attention over your shoulder. His eyes met yours, and his heart skipped a beat when you smiled at him. He returned the gesture in kind.

"Hey Rook! What brings you here?" You asked. At your feet, Ace merely looked at him with a combination of suspicion and anticipation, the usual response Rook received.

"Why, you do!" Rook responded. "Although I must admit, this time I do not arrive to fill my time idly with you. I come bearing a gift of sorts."

With a flourish, Rook reached into his pocket and showed you the ring he found, twisting it so even in the dim light beneath the stone you could still catch the light reflecting off the gems. You gasped, one hand reaching up to cover your delighted smile. It brought a proud smile to Rook's face. Ace swore he could see Rook puff out his chest, just a bit, in pride.

"You found it!" You exclaimed. "I've been wondering what happened to it. I thought I lost it forever.”

“Worry not, dear trickster!” Rook proclaimed, placing a hand to his chest in a dramatic pose. Then, he grabbed your hand still hanging by your side and brought it up, bending at the waist as if he were about to kiss the back of it. “Just as the sun returns to warm the earth each day, just as the stars return to support the splendor of the moon, as sure as the flowers will bloom in the spring, I will ensure that all which belongs to you will return to its rightful place by your side.”

With a small, secretive smile, Rook loosened his grip on your hand and brought the ring to your fingers. Slowly, slowly enough that you knew he was trying to elicit a response, he placed the ring on the finger you normally wore it on. The metal had been warmed by his hand, and he stopped pushing just before it got too tight on your hand. All the while, his striking green eyes kept you in a steady gaze, creating an air of intimacy around the two of you. Briefly, the image of a proposal flashed in your mind, and you felt the heat rush to your cheeks.

Deuce, who must have finished with his practice and joined Ace behind you, suddenly sputtered. “Woah! Is- What-? Are they-?!”

Rook grinned mischievously before running his thumb over your knuckles. “I hope this is enough, so you can understand my intentions, mon coeur.”

Bucky takes him into their room and puts him down on his feet before shutting the door behind him. Steve turns around so his back is to Bucky and Bucky unzips his dress. He releases the lavender day collar’s clasp, then takes off Steve’s earrings and other necklace. He puts the jewelry away as Steve walks into the bathroom to take off his dress. 

Bucky steps into the regular closet, walking up to Steve’s selection of maternity evening gowns. He purses his lips, considering two different black dresses as he debates whether he wants to see cleavage or leg tonight. Bucky picks the cleavage. He’s a perv. It’s a satin mermaid dress with a sweetheart neckline but tailored by Yankov to fit Steve’s baby bump; it’s from his last pregnancy, but it’s not like they had time to get a brand new gown. It has a short train and one off-the-shoulder, split cape sleeve that reaches the ground, a matching opera glove for the right hand, and it is set with snakes made of gold metal, wrapped around the sleeve and glove, the shoulder, and bust. There’s a matching hat, he knows, so he goes digging around the hat boxes until he finds it; it’s a wide brimmed Parisian-style fascinator hat, angled to the left, and wrapped with gold snakes and accented with gold feathers. To go with it, Bucky picks a pair of five-inch sandals with gold chains and little ankh charms, made by Tom Ford. 

Bucky carries the dress and the shoes out to the bedroom. Steve’s just sitting down at his makeup table with his hair curled, the lights around his mirror switched on, starts by dabbing cream onto his eyelids. 

“Gold and black,” Bucky calls to him.

“‘Kay,” Steve says. “What color lip?”

Bucky thinks about it, looking at the dress. “Red,” he decides. “Dark. And no transfer so I can kiss you.”

“‘Kay.”

Bucky walks up to the jewelry cabinet again. He puts away his watch and cufflinks, then walks away, stripping off his jacket. He tosses it into the dry cleaning hamper and steps up to the gun safe. He puts away his revolver and holster, then carries on undressing, putting the pieces of his suit except his tie in the dry cleaning hamper; the tie goes into the regular laundry. Bucky leaves on his socks and boxers and returns to the regular closet to get a tux out for himself. He just grabs the first black one with gold accents he sees and carries it out to drop onto the bed. He then walks up behind Steve, grabs the second chair by the makeup table, and drops into it. Bucky props his chin up on his fist and his elbow on the vanity as he settles into watching Steve do his makeup.

By seven, Steve’s done up his face with a vivid black and gold cut crease with little gold gems, and a dark red lip color, as well as the rest of his makeup. As he’s spritzing his face with setting spray, Bucky gets back up and crosses to the jewelry cabinet to open it. He grabs the second diamond collar he’d bought Steve, the one in yellow gold rather than white gold, and then picks through his earrings until he’s got a pair of yellow gold rattlesnakes with diamonds for eyes and creating the patterns down their backs. He also picks out a yellow gold snake bangle, with rubies for eyes. Bucky puts the three boxes on the bed, then straps on a gold watch and picks out cufflinks in yellow gold with rubies, as well as a matching tie tack; he’s got a set that look like snakes, too, bought specifically to match this dress.

Steve gets up from his makeup table. “You wanna put me in different underwear?” he asks.

“Nah,” Bucky says. “But take your bra off. Here.”

He picks up the gown and removes it from its hanger, then unzips it and opens it up. Steve, dropping his bra onto the bed, takes his shoulders as he kneels and he steps into the dress. Bucky pulls it up then helps him into the sleeve and glove. He fixes the one shoulder, then walks around Steve’s back to zip it back up. Steve sits down on the bed and puts in his earrings, slips on his bracelet on the hand without a glove, then opens the box with his yellow gold collar and takes it out. Bucky lifts it from his hands, then fastens it around his throat.

He smoothes his hands over Steve’s shoulders and then taps his chin. Steve makes eye contact. Bucky smirks down at him, then his gaze drops to the neckline of Steve’s dress. He hooks a finger into it and pulls it away from his body to see down the front. Steve blushes. Bucky admires his ample, perky tits, then cups his chin and bends down to kiss him.

“You’d betta get dressed,” Steve murmurs. “You can’t be late to your own party.”

Bucky sighs about it, but Steve’s right. He puts on a dress shirt in a deep red that matches Steve’s lipstick, buttons it up, and gets into his slacks. After his brocade waistcoat, black and dark gold, Bucky puts on a double shoulder holster and loads it with two Desert Eagles. He slips his jacket on, tucks a gold pocket square into the breast pocket and a gold bundle of flowers with rubies in the petals into his lapel, then gets out a pair of glossy black wingtips also by Tom Ford and puts them on. Steve, already in his shoes and hat, walks up to him and adjusts his tie, then stands up on his toes. Bucky cups his chin again and kisses him.

“C’mon,” he murmurs. “We’d better get this over with.”

Steve slips his arm through Bucky’s as they leave.

They look pretty similar to the finals, but I made a few changes so if you click for quality you will see that these drawings are much more polished.

Much like their Dorm Fairy companions, the girls also got redesigned! The reason being is that Phoenix felt she was making them look to simple. So she chose to once again redesign them, only this time, designing them to cater more to their preferences and personalities, as well as matching the aesthetics of each Disney Princesses' respective movies.

��� Rozeline Pierrette

Rozeline's new ensemble was created to represent both Belle and Beast. As well as being an ensemble that looks conservative or old school, not caring for aesthetic outfits and just picked an old pattern from the dress book. Her now unkempt hair is dark brown with a single white streak.

Rozeline's ensemble consists of a muted navy blue long puff sleeve bolero jacket with gold trim with the collar having gold circular roses and the sleeves having white cuffs. She also wears a yellow maxi skirt with muted navy blue and gold trim. For footwear, Rozeline wears a pair of black and white heeled Oxford shoes with gray leggings.

Rozeline accessorizes with a black veil that covers her eyes attached to a muted navy blue bonnet with gold trim, pale yellow roses and black horns, a white ruffle tie, a pale yellow rose brooch with a muted yellow gem brooch in the center and pale tan ribbon with gold trim, a gold belt with ribbon detailing, black gloves and a muted gold crown ring with a yellow jewel on her right index finger.

Vidya's ensemble is meant to be a fusion of both Aladdin and Jasmine's respective ensembles, with the top portion taking inspiration from Aladdin's Prince Ali persona. The purple sash was a gift from Kalim and not only serves as a reference to the Magic Carpet, but also reference Kalim's hometown.

Vidya's ensemble consists of a black tunic worn underneath a bedlah top with off-the-shoulder straps with gold accents and matching salwar pants with a gold V-shaped waistline with an opening below the knees and gold trim. For footwear, Vidya wears a pair of curled shoes that are muted navy and feature gold soles and accents.

Jinlong received a very notable redesign, now resembling more of an eastern dragon while also possessing turquoise horns, off red nails, three pointed toes with red claws, and a red tail with teal spikes and gold underbelly, the tail also has copper colored fluff at the tip. Jinlong's hair is now in a single ponytail.

Jinlong's ensemble consists of a navy blue martial arts tunic with gold trim, a maroon collar with teal circular gems attached to gold tassels and maroon cuffs with gold detailing. Underneath the tunic is a pair of blue-green pants with gold trim. For footwear, Jinlong sports a pair of navy blue sandals with maroon detailing and straps.

Jinlong accessorizes with a teal earring on her left ear, a pair of oversized turquoise bracelets, a maroon belt with gold trim and designs with a large circular gold brooch with a turquoise gem embedded in the center, and a gold crown ring with a maroon jewel on her right index finger.

🐻 Elu Sorrel

Elu has a slightly more muscular physique due to being a hunter while her ensemble looking more modern and much like Allison and Jinlong, offering more mobility. To avoid making her look to similar to Leona, Elu's braids were moved to be around her ears (though not shown in the picture above).

Elu's ensemble consists of a tan sleeveless turtleneck tunic with baggy pants that include fringes worn underneath what appears to be a brown corset with the bottom having fringes and a dark teal corset with various pale red diamond details and pale red threads. For footwear, Elu wears a pair of light tan boots with teal and white straps and fringes near one of the ends.

Elu accessorizes with a brown cloak with a white trimmed fur hood with the bottom featuring a teal and red diamond design and fringes, a pair of gold goggles, pale red arm bands with teal beads, a brown necklace with red and teal beads with a brown brooch with an orange gem embedded inside and teal, white, red feathers with red beads, brown gloves and a pale gold crown ring with an orange jewel on her left index finger.

🐸 Perrine Bousquet

Perrine ensemble bears some resemblance to the flapper dress that Tiana wears at the end of The Princess and the Frog, while also wanting to match the aesthetics of the 1920s. Perrine's hair is now a golden blonde curly bob cut and she now has green eyeshadow.

Perrine's ensemble consists of an off white green tinted blouse worn underneath a pastel green dress with the top portion resembling a blazer, with green lapels and cuffs. For footwear, Perrine wears a pair of green pumps, a style popular with working women in the 1920s as they featured minimal decorations and were less expensive than trendy strap shoes or lattice pumps.

Perrine accessorizes with a green cloche hat with a light green satin ribbon with a yellow flower with green leaves and a green circular gem in the center, a silver necklace with a green gem pendant, a yellow flower brooch with green leaves and a vine as well as a silver circular brooch with floral detailing and a circular green gem in the center, a pair of pastel green gloves and a silver crown ring with a green jewel on her left index finger.

Last but certainly not least for the main AU kids' fashion boards, we have the one for Aurora~! :D Her style was another one that was kind of difficult to figure out, mainly in that I wasn't sure whether to make her style more simple and academia-like, or a little fancier since her mom is Stella. I think I came up with a good balance between the two for her though, and I hope you enjoy!

. For Aurora, she has straight and dirty blonde hair that reaches just past her armpits, which she usually wears down or in simple styles, like braids or ponytails. She doesn't mind wearing makeup but usually only goes for full looks for royal events, with her everyday look mainly consisting of mascara, lip-gloss, and natural color eyeshadow if she chooses to wear it, but does go a little fancier with her nails. She has a couple of moles scattered across her body like her mom, but gets freckles only lightly during the summertime. For a physical detail I wanted to highlight, it would be that she has a need for glasses, with her main pair being white.

. For her color scheme, she sticks mainly with warm tones and neutrals, with yellows/golds and oranges being her favorite. Her fashion style leans more into an academic and studious style, but with a little more of 'stylish' flair and she likes to layer. Turtleneck sweaters, sweaters in general, chinos and dress pants, short dresses to layer over her shirts, fancy jumpsuits or rompers when going for a more 'cute' and fun look, and overalls. Usually wears solid colors, but doesn't mind plaid and some celestial motifs, and she does own a few fun-patterned dress shirts.

. For accessories, she does own many given she's Stella's daughter and a princess, but she usually wears them lightly on a daily basis. She does have her ears pierced, wearing mainly either diamond studs or gold mini hoops, but does have a few dangly crystal pairs she sometimes wears. Has a couple of gold bracelets and chain belts to cinch in some of her outfits, and owns a pretty fancy gold smartwatch that she wears almost all of the time. The main accessory I chose to give her here is some layered gold necklaces, all with a celestial motif to show pride in her Solarian heritage.

Bees are a really popular motif in jewelry these days, it seems. They have been for a few years. I'm also seeing butterflies make a return. A couple of years ago, it was a struggle to find more than a couple of options for a butterfly necklace across multiple stores, and in gold, there weren't really options for butterfly earrings or rings. When I wanted a butterfly necklace after finishing my first degree, I had to get a bracelet charm ordered specially into the store from a catalogue. Now, if someone wanted a new gold butterfly necklace, their options in stores would be vastly expanded.

Bees have increased their numbers, too. A couple of years ago, there were small bee and honeycomb designs I saw, but now, there are larger ones, also, and more of them. It's interesting how individual bugs as motifs can trend like that. It causes me to wonder what other bugs will trend. In a couple of years, wouldn't it be cool to see more beetles, or maybe ants, or spiders? Will the selection of dragonflies expand from the few options in stores now?

What about other animals? There are often cat and dog motifs in jewelry, because they are popular with pet-owners. Didn't the elephant trend in jewelry a few years back? When I worked at a jewelry store the first time I was there, they seemed to just be phasing out the remaining pieces from an elephant trend. For my sibling's sake, I hope there is more snake jewelry soon readily available. They are right: there isn't much, except for very large pendants for very large chains, or snakes that are not close to anatomically correct. Even then, those don't have much selection either.

In a broader sense of jewelry trends, I think it would be nice to see gemstones become popular again. Pearls in irregular shapes had a moment a few years ago, so maybe something will happen to cause gemstones to do that, too. They seem to have a backseat to all-metal jewelry or pieces with diamonds or other white gemstones in the past few years. Part of my hopes for this is so selection will expand (selfish reasons) and part of it is because I wonder which gemstones other people I know would choose to wear (nosy reasons).

Maybe I'd like to wait a while before that, though. A lot of jewelry with gemstones right now is taking a shift into smaller designs than in the past few years, maybe for affordability since people are not in an economically good position overall. More pieces are also being made in silver plated with gold, like the necklace I bought on Monday. I really like it, but I hope the plating is good enough to last many years. I suppose it will be; I haven't worn the rhodium plating off of most other silver pieces I have. I like the affordability boost silver plated with gold brings, and that it allows yellow metal for larger styles to be stocked, even as gold and gemstone pieces get smaller and smaller.

I don't love thinking too much about trends in real time. I'm a little bit obsessed with trends of the past for previous decades, though. But when it comes to jewelry (of the sort that won't cause problems for my nickel contact dermatitis), there are only a few stores with a few pieces for each type of gemstone or motif each, if a gemstone or motif can be found at all at them. So, trends really dictate what a person can buy at that time, or how many hoops they'll have to jump through and how many weeks from a catalogue order they'll have to wait to get it.

TLR Fashion Posts: Talia Neptune

Finally getting into making more fashion posts! I have been meaning to do some more for a long while, especially with Talia here is I love her fancy tomboy style so much and wanted the chance to explore it more. So, I hope you enjoy!

Talia's style in a way can be described as a fancy or stylish tomboy, as she does not feel all that comfortable with the traditional flowing skirts and dresses of her kingdom, but still enjoys a stylish and feminine style with her outfits and accessories. A lot of her outfits are also pretty revealing that show off a lot of skin, both because she knows she is attractive and it is in her tastes already, but also because they are easier to move around in and all sorts of room to layer accessories. Tight-fitting and sleeveless tops, crop-tops in all sorts of styles, sleeveless rompers, bralette tops, jumpsuits that are either completely form-fitting or have wide legs, formal, fitting, or flowy shorts, fancy lace leggings, and flowy or loose-fitting pants. Prefers halter or v-necklines with her tops, and largely prefers to have her arms uncovered, but does have a couple of formal or fancy jackets to wear if the weather is colder. As already stated, she cannot stand skirts or dresses that much, but if she must for a formal or royal event, then she is more inclined to wearing high-low ones with attached shorts underneath, or jumpsuit dresses. For footwear, she has a pretty large collection that consists almost exclusively heels and sandals, ranging in various styles and lengths but she prefers strappy or decorative ones the most.

For colors, she has a very bright and peppy color pallate, that ranges more on the warmer side. Yellow and pink are two of her main favorite colors so she wears those the most, with her preferring lighter and more pastel shades of yellow, and more vibrant and brighter pinks. Also enjoys oranges and silver-blues, with light purples and reds on occasion but never any green. As traditional Arianian clothing is mostly white with gold accents, she does have a lot of white pieces in her closet to balance with her more colorful pieces, and does have a few light or silver gray pieces as well, with black only being for some accessories. Prefers solid colors with her clothes but does have some pieces that have celestial motifs and patterns on them, and loves diamond embellishments or glittering and sparkly material. As she is royalty she works with the palace designers to make a lot of her clothes, so they are all made out of high-quality material but she also loves to go shopping with her sisters or friends, so a lot of her clothes have been bought in Arialas as well.

For accessories, she absolutely loves wearing jewelry, and does not care about being excessive or "extra" in this department as she always layers a lot of it with her outfits. All of her jewelry is gold in color, and she owns plenty of gold necklaces, bangle and cuff bracelets, rings, and large dangly or hoop earrings. Most of her jewelry pieces contain celestial motifs and are simple gold to balance a little better with her outfits, but she does have a lot of pieces that contain diamonds or have a sort of "shimmer" quality to them. A big fan of armbands, intrically-designed ones or simple cuff ones, and anklets but she only wears those with shorter heels. Owns a few belts in plain white or gold, most with fancy buckles but she does have a few chain belts. Doesn't wear hair accessories that much since she has shorter hair, but when it is styled all nice she has some fancy hair pins to pull it back with.

For her hair, it is naturally wavy and she keeps it at around chin-length, wearing it down most of the time but she does like curling or pulling it back in fancy styles for royal events or just because sometimes. It is also a natural silvery-white color, which she always found too boring on its own and loves to experiment with different hair colors or color combinations, with her right now sporting a pretty, all-over salmony-pink color. Absolutely loves wearing makeup, and does not care if her looks are considered "extra" on a daily basis. Her usual looks consist of shimmering eyeshadow in gold, pink, or other warm shades, a little bit of highlighter and blush, and shiny but natural-colored lip-glosses or lipsticks, to have her makeup looks draw more attention to her eyes. Loves getting her nails done, preferring to keep them long and usually likes to get glitter polish or some sort of fun design, with her and her sister Maya liking to go to the salon together to get their nails done. Enjoys wearing perfume, with her liking sweet and romantic scents.
