Shocking, just shocking, to see so many TERFs complaining about the outfit Yasmin Benoit wore to Pride. It's like TERFs and the people claiming "asexuality isn't real" or "they aren't oppressed" are one and the same.

And none of them want to face up to the fact that they're basically saying, "Of course she really wants sex, look at how she's dressed!"

I will forever and always be thankful for all the work Yasmin Benoit has done for the asexuals. She has faced an uncountable amount of aphobia and racism from people within and outside the queer community, and has matched that vile with nothing but grace. She is clearly incredibly well versed in the subjects she speaks on but uses that knowledge to accessibly spread information. Also shes just like really cool!!!

If you are ace and don't know who Yasmin Benoit is, I strongly advise you to search her up. She has done more for the asexual community than I can put into words. She has been advocating for us every single day and has been the target of bullying, ridicule, and aphobia because of it. She has been fighting for asexual rights, she has been fighting against stereotypes, against conversion therapy and against the oppression asexual people face. Every person who identifies as asexual should know her name.

For all the people that always try to debate Yasmin on Twitter, saying: "Why do aces need rights? No one is attacking you, no one cares that you're asexual"

Well, this is just a fraction of the hate we received on Facebook after publicizing our Tr(ace)y project last May:

Until we can post freely and unapologetically about being ace and get a much bigger ratio of support than hate, we will always keep doing the work. If this is what our project received, I can't even imagine what Yasmin gets in a day. Shoutout to the most badass ace queen ever. Always reminding us to block out the haters!
