Don’t freak! I don’t expect you to buy leaf green yarn!!! I only dyed a tiny lot as an experiment and wanted to share how it turned out because I like it. I’m at uni today to meet my tutor to discuss my essay plan and go to a seminar so I won’t be shipping today. This makes it the perfect day to share scary green.

ok ive been thinking about a destiny university au that im ultimately not going to do anything with (probably) but I just want to talk about it so here is a list of some characters and what I think they would do at uni
osiris: physics prof specializing in quantum + theoretical physics. undergrads find him extremely difficult to follow but master's students love him. will occasionally heckle ikora's philosophy seminars
saint: kinesiology prof, former football quarterback. everyone takes his first year classes because he's the best and also might let you throw things at each other for a grade. too much of a meathead to truly understand what's going on in osiris' lectures, but sits in on his beloved's lessons anyway.
ikora: philosophy prof, has like 4 undergrad degrees because she couldn't decide what she wanted to study ("but mads that's bonkers" my friend has done this and is currently getting their phd in social work. it happens). playful academic beef with osiris on the nature of life itself. was the scariest player on the women's lacrosse team
eris: perma-phd student in archaeology with a minor in anthropology. spends way too much time in the bone lab, which is why she looks like she doesn't go out in the sun. spends a little too much time hanging around the philosophy department for someone who isn't a philosophy major
zavala: extremely jacked anthropology professor. did his phd thesis on the value of fibrecraft to the human experience (more specific than that but I'm not about to come up with a feasible phd level thesis for a field I know nothing about). many of his students think he's in the mafia or something because of how ripped he is, but he just really likes working out
asher mir: chemistry professor. kind of a hardass, HATES teaching undergrads, but might let you blow something up in a controlled environment on the last lab day of the semester
amanda holliday: engineering master's student. EXTREMELY passionate about the yearly engineering go-kart derby where teams of students build their own go-karts
banshee-44: engineering prof. the smartest, most capable engineering prof at the school, but god forbid he remembers where he put that caliper. do not go into his office. it's a hazard.
shaxx: the football coach. end of thought.
drifter: math and stats prof. weirdly grungy for a nerd. I almost put him as an ethics professor bc I think his morals are really interesting but then I remembered he likes math a lot and I think he can have a little treat. has way too much energy for undergrads
mara: history prof. you thought history was boring until you took a class with dr sov. that woman can spin a yarn like nobody else. often has academic beef with ikora
riven: the school mascot

I don't know how many LiveJournal alumni there are in these parts, but for those of you who weren't on LJ back in the early 2010s, there was a fairly large-scale art auction organized by users to benefit recovery and relief efforts after the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami and the resulting Fukushima disaster. People offered fic, digital art, origami pieces, yarn crafts, commissions, whatever they could, and then the highest bidder donated their bid to one of the organizations vetted by the auction organizers.
One of the pieces that I got from this auction was a watercolor painting of a landscape photo of my choice. If my recollection serves, the person I was communicating with was an LJ user from the UK, but the actual artist was their grandparent who was located in Germany.
I sent a photo that I had taken on the beach near where I lived on the gulf coast of Florida. The photo may have been taken with a digital camera, but it is just as likely I used a flip phone. Either way, it was not a professional shot, and it was not a great photo, but it was important to me.
What I received was stunning, and I worked closely with my mother to find the right mat board--a lovely metallic copper that plays perfectly with the lighting effects in the piece.
Tumblr media
(Forgive my photography, which is even worse on this crappy tablet than it was on my flip phone 15 years ago.)
A year or so later, this painting went with me when I moved to central Oklahoma for my failed grad school experiment a year or so after it was painted. It hung in my kitchen above my sink in my crappy apartment, keeping me company while I washed dishes and put off writing seminar papers. It was my lifeline on the days when I was so desperate to be back home that I would get excited to hear what I thought was rain, only to look out the window and see it was just dry leaves blowing across sidewalk.
And now, a decade later, I find myself far from home again, this time not in pursuit of a dream of something better, but instead evading fascist state politicians. And my painting of a quiet, stormy, glittering, peaceful beach at sunset hangs across from my bed, one of the first things I see each morning, one of the last things I see each night.
I think about the sandpipers and the crabs and the freedom of swimming out and out and out until the bottom falls away, bobbing there with a friend or a parent or a cousin and having the most beautiful conversations.
I think about getting off work, rolling up my slacks past my knees, and walking along the water as long as I wanted, January waves crashing into my bare ankles.
I think about sitting just beyond where the waves meet the shore until the sand shifts to accept you and the quick little fish flick up to say hi and tickle your toes and sometimes bring rays and other friends if you are patient enough and the tourists aren't too rowdy and the locals aren't fishing too close.
And I think about an incredible elder artist who wanted to offer aid in a crisis half a world away, who painted a scene she probably never had reason to visit in person, who has never known how much impact it had.
Tumblr media
I believe this signature says "Lola Fleddermann". I hope your life has been beautiful and full of joy and peace and incredible art. And I hope all the same for your grandchild, who I spoke to so briefly so many years ago on a long-disused blog in time that feels very little like today.
Thank you.

plotting call !
evil entity that will most likely ruin your life needs YOUR help for the mission board!

eitri canonically lives in a forest she booby trapped herself and would love to test some new ideas on some poor unsuspecting seminar attendee. none of the traps she has set up follow osha guidelines. a couple of them might even be breaking the geneva convention. oh, and don't let her catch you! she's brewed up some sort of mysterious potion to further simulate an interrogation. can you survive eitri's horrors? she might give you extra credit for her next exam if you can. +1 SWORD TAKEN: YARNE
eitri is working in the infirmary, hoping to use the influx of patients as an opportunity to test out some new medicines and procedures she has been researching... it all looks incredibly dubious, to be honest, but she assures you her advancements in science have been praised the world over. are you looking to learn about these ground breaking developments in medicine? or are you the fearful patient under the knife, trying to convince eitri all you really need is a vulnerary?
ghost hunting but the ghosts are made by eitri. she's running some hush-hush experiment on the downlow, trying to figure out a way to put a soul into an inanimate object, and her failed experiments have been running amok and causing havoc across the monastery. she offers you a pretty penny if you'll help her round them up so she can bring them back to her lab for further study. be careful, though... there's something weird about them. TAKEN: FAYE
eitri is extremely interested in nonhuman muses and muses with powers she has never seen before. what she's not interested in, though, is the scientific ethical code. maybe watch out for that.

ROTMNT quotes?
Wybie: Room 16, take corridor B! Down the stairs, past the Ibis tapestry! Sliding bookcase after bookcase shows the way to the hall! Up the pole through a hole in the waterfall!
Dipper: *As Raz beatboxes; whispering* Keep it down, Wybie!
Wybie: Wybie Lovat, with the book in his hand, saves the day and proves to everyone that he’s the man! *Out of nowhere, a winged demon swoops down and carried him off* Coppers come in and takes him away, but Wybie L will live to fight another day!
*After Coraline slices a small gremlin in half, the other Mystery Kids just stare at it*
Lili: Oh! What did you do?!
Coraline: It was on my head, I panicked!
Mabel: Is it gonna be okay?
Lili: ‘Is it gonna be okay?’! *One half of the gremlin lands by the other half* … It’s in two pieces!
*The Mystery Kids stare at an overpowered Gideon*
Raz: You’re not a hippo… Are you?
Gideon: *His eye twitches* No! I’m not a hippo! Do I look like a hippo to you?!
Wybie: *Measuring Gideon* Hmm… Maybe a baby hippo.
Gideon: I am not a hippo, and please stop interrupting me!
Lili: You really think that this is going to hook the thieves? The only paper we have is made from salami, which is round. Paper is not round.
Coraline: Yes. It’ll work- Neil! Stop eating the plan!
*Neil eats some of the salami paper*
Dipper: Okay. Salami origami doesn’t work.
Mabel: Hey, look! *Points ahead* They vanished!
Norman: Then, what are we looking at? *Notices Neil staring at the salami*
Raz: Oh… Oh, what is that? Don’t do it. Don’t do it.
Wybie: No. no. No! *Neil grabs a piece* Neil, no! Look at me. No! *Neil eats the salami* Ah!
Mabel: Ugh! Gross!
Neil: What? Five second rule.
Lili: We’re done. Coraline is going to blow this. She has no idea what to ask for and- Okay! Getting hot! It’s like I’m on the sun here!
Coraline: I’m not gonna blow this.
Wybie: Coraline! I love you, my best friend. But you do tend to fail in big moments, pish-posh. But that is what makes you, you! Now bring it in, pal! I’m gonna hug you ‘til a smile comes out!
Coraline: Enough! I’ve got this! Because in big-time moments, leaders make big-time shots! And I’m big-time!
Norman: *Hissing* Coraline! He must say yes! Make him say yes!
Coraline: Enough! Don’t mess this up, Coraline. Don’t mess this up.
Wybie: Don’t forget! We only get to ask for one thing my little Cora-love!
—
Mabel: I can’t do it, guys! It’ll ruin him!
Wybie: I got it. I’ll be Doctor Mom Friend. *Walks over to the owner of the yarn shop with a solemn look* … YOU GOT BUGS!
Wybie: I’m Doctor Feelings, and welcome to my seminar: Hug it Out.
Lili: ‘Doctor Feelings’? I thought you were Doctor Mom Friend?
Wybie: *Eerily* Doctor Mom Friend feels nothing.
Coraline: *Talking into her phone* Pink Submarine, are we clear?
Mabel: Affirmative, Blue Rover.
Coraline: Copy. Right, boys. It’s go time.
*Coralinec Wybie, Norman, and Neil attach their harnesses to a zip line, going right over a rooftop party where a mob boss is accepting a large sum of momey… Then they zip right past him and head towards a pool. Coraline gives them a signal, and they drop down*
Norman: Cow!
Neil: A!
Wybie: Bun!
Coraline: Ga!
Coraline/Wybie/Norman/Neil: *Group pose* Cannonball!
Wybie: URANIUM! Oh, we should absolutely ask for uranium! I mean, if I could get my hands on a little of that, we would be virtually unstoppable!
Mabel: What about a wood oven for pizza?
Raz: Who’s gonna clean that? What we should ask for is matching unicorn onesies; those are sick! Pun intended, and I nailed it.
Raz: Guuuuuys?
Lili: Anybody there?
Neil: Somebody untie us!
Norman: I’m afraid of togetherness.
Stan: *Chuckles* We will get right to that… Eventually.
Wybie: This is a job for Doctor Mom Friend… GET YOUR MIND RIGHT, SON!
Neil: We… I- uh… We- I.
Raz: *Raising a frying pan* Snitches get the stitches…
Dipper: To lose one pizza place is New York real state, but to lose two pizza places is…a conspiracy that goes all the way to the top! What do Lou Mike-Tony's and Tony Lou's Pizzeria have in common?
Coraline: Besides both being pizza places?
Dipper: Exactly! They're both pizza places, but not just any pizza places. Two of our favorite pizza places! And what's the key thing they have in common?! *He points to Raz with his pointing stick*
Raz: Uh…besides having the same name but in different order?
Dipper: *Taking notes*Do you think that's important?!
Wybie: … No.
Dipper… Whatever. It's us! *He points to photos of four different versions of the Mystery Kids* We are the link between all these places! Ergo, whoever's behind this isn't only after pizza. They're after us. And clearly, we all know that it's Pizzasaurus-the evil spawn of the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot! It's taking over Pizza Week!
Lili: Pizzasaurus?! We've been over this! None of those things are real.
Coraline: See? Everything's fine! ‘Everything was not fine.
Coraline: ‘Truth is I had no answers Just ideas’ Guys, Pizza week is not just a week. It is a week about family coming together.
Wybie: Does she think we don't know what a week is.
Coraline: ‘I wasn't sure they knew what a week was.’ Five weekdays! And a weekend, that accumulated me eating my favorite pizza in the whole wide crazy world.
Anyone feel free to add on

riverrun. Yes, probably the writer Aaron Gwyn, who's done two threads now—one, two—and amusingly replied to someone who self-righteously asked how reading Finnegans Wake made one "a better human."
Tumblr media
I can't be much help, however. I've certainly read some of FW over the years. In Colin MacCabe's Joyce seminar back in the year 2001 we read the Shem and Shaun part and the conclusion with Anna Livia Plurabelle; in graduate school I was in an FW reading group for a few months where we did the first 100 pages or so. But I've never read the whole thing, whatever "reading" here means.
I didn't enjoy the reading group, through no fault of theirs, because they quite correctly leaned in to the aspect of the book—maybe the only real aspect the book has in the end—that calls for a cross-word puzzler's head full of verbal trivia. This tends not to be the level on which I enjoy literature.
MacCabe, on the other hand, persuaded me of book's weight with his psychoanalytic classroom gloss on lines like
If you spun your yarns to him on the swishbarque waves I was spelling my yearns to her over cottage cake.
A cursory Google turns up MacCabe's interpretation here:
As Anna thinks back over her past life, she remembers how much her husband (the ubiquitous figure who is indicated by the letters HCE) wanted a daughter, hoping for a female in the family who would believe his stories, who would give to him the respect that he feels is his due. But the father is inevitably disappointed for the mother teaches her daughter that beneath the stories and the identities lies the world of letters and desire. While the father tells the son stories, the mother teaches the daughter the alphabet: “If you spun your yarns to him on the swishbarque waves I was spelling my yearns to her over cottage cake” (FW, 620). The father’s yarns (stories) are displaced by the mother’s yearns (desires); telling gives way to spelling. It is this struggle between meaning and sound, between story and language, between male and female that Finnegans Wake enacts, introducing the reader to a world in which his or her own language can suddenly reveal new desires beneath old meanings as the material of language forms and reforms.
Is this enough to make me proceed through the verbal thicket? I can't shake the feeling that Joyce here demands too many public rights for a purely private fixation. Updike, introducing Nabokov's Lectures on Literature:
For Nabokov, the world—art's raw material—is itself an artistic creation, so insubstantial and illusionistic that he seems to imply a masterpiece can be spun from thin air, by pure act of the artist's imperial will. Yet works like Madame Bovary and Ulysses glow with the heat of resistance that the will to manipulate meets in banal, heavily actual subjects. Acquaintance, abhorrence, and the helpless love we give our own bodies and fates join in these transmuted scenes of Dublin and Rouen; away from them, in works like Salammbô and Finnegans Wake, Joyce and Flaubert yield to their dreaming, dandyish selves and are swallowed by their hobbies.
This may also by true of VN's Ada, which I never finished. We each draw the line in a different place. I'm sure I'm only denying myself an advanced form of pleasure. This is, after all, what I'd tell people who with a truculent and phony populism would spurn the incomparable joys of Ulysses.
Re: Flaubert and Joyce—I'm too lazy to hunt for it, but I think I actually said that Ulysses breaks the sentence free. Flaubert immobilized prose by turning it into blocks of precision reportage—granted, this is not quite fair to Flaubert—but Joyce loosened it up again by turning it into poetry, "poetry" implying both euphony and polysemy. Pound, quoting a German to Latin dictionary in ABC of Reading: "Dichten = condensare." Finnegans Wake is, I can't deny it, the logical-teleological next step in the Hegelian process, making every single word a whole world, Blake's "heaven in a grain of sand."
(Some of what's said against FW could be said against Pound's Cantos—of which I've read some—and Blake's Jerusalem—of which I've read all, whatever [again!] "reading" here means.)
Since I am not actually barred from this promised land, why do I still content myself with what Stephen Dedalus calls, with unsurprising reference not only to a book everybody knows but also to a book nobody does, "A Pisgah Sight of Palestine"? Is it time for me to give the Wake another try?

Intertextile Shenzhen wraps up three days of trend, innovation, and sustainability exchange amongst key asian textile players
Tumblr media
From 5 – 7 June 2024, the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian) was the sourcing hotspot of South China’s apparel textile industry. Nearly 1,000 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions showcased various garment-related products, with major categories covering ladieswear, functional wear, and accessories. Together, Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Shenzhen 2024 welcomed nearly 20,000 visits from 45 countries and regions, including two buyer delegations from Malaysia and one from the European American Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Witnessing an influx of brands, manufacturers, and regional designers, the apparel fair’s Trend Forum, fringe event venues, sustainability-centric display areas, and key Asian zones and pavilions all proved high-traffic platforms.
Speaking at the show’s close, Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said: “The fair has been very effective for international and domestic suppliers to showcase their innovations to the South China market – likewise, we have had a very strong response from ASEAN-based buyers and brands seeking on-trend products in between two traditional sourcing seasons. As organisers we couldn’t be more pleased, having delivered a business-friendly trading platform for players from across the value chain, and given a stage to experts sharing insights across a range of innovative industry topics.”
At Talking Point and Textile Dialogue, Intertextile Shenzhen’s two seminar venues, topics ranged from the transformative impact of AI in the textile landscape to upcoming fashion trends for both S/S 2025-26 and A/W 2025-26, equipping buyers with key product and industry information. Across three days of insight sharing and trading, key international sourcing brands included the likes of Club Monaco, Diesel, lululemon, Ralph Lauren, Quiksilver, ZARA, and many more.
Three international buyer delegations crossed paths with exhibitors, including delegates from EA Chamber representing six countries, the Malaysia Knitting Manufacturers Association, and the Malaysian Garment Marketers Association. Meanwhile, with some travelling less than 50 kilometres and some from further afield, 12 domestic delegations visited the fair, such as China Top 10 Designers, Shenzhen Jinhui Nanyou Fashion Creative Center Visiting Group, and Guangdong Garment & Apparel Industry Association Buyer Group.
Including both individual brands and various delegates, over 250 business matching meetings with exhibitors took place across the three-day show. The buyers included 20 Shenzhen-based designers and managers, from brands such as DAQINGLIU, CHICCOMAO, DiLiUnbound, and Yishangshi. Representing the likes of Annil, Dayang, and Marisfrolg, many other domestic brand buyers visited the early summer showcase.
On the show floor, the Spring / Summer 2025-26 Trend Forum by Fabrics China gave buyers a visual anchor for future vogues. Meanwhile, the Sustainability Zone provided insights into different brands’ applications of sustainability policies, as did the debut of featured display zones Eco Trends by Intertextile x Sateri and Functional Sustainability by Intertextile x Idole.
The early summer textile platform also included the Japan Zone, with exhibitors displaying accessories, cotton and man-made fabrics for menswear, ladieswear and sportswear; the Korea Pavilion, featuring jacquard, mixed woven, and more; and the Taiwan Pavilion, with a focus on high-quality lace, embroidery and yarn. Whether sourcing or showcasing, a range of exhibitors, visitors, and speakers offered positive assessments.
Exhibitors’ feedback
“Our buttons are made with very unique materials – palm tree seeds which can only be found in Ecuador, that are durable and eco-friendly. Although more expensive than plastic buttons, the product attracts many high-end fashion brands from Europe, the US and China due to its sustainability, quality and uniqueness. We have received very positive feedback at Intertextile Shenzhen; many designers have enquired about the product. With the help of the fair, I hope more and more players in the fashion industry will choose to use sustainable materials in the future.” Mr Wilson Chiu, Managing Director, Yee Fung Hong Ltd (PRO ECUADOR co-exhibitor)
“This edition of Intertextile Shenzhen is better, as the location is different, and the number and quality of visitors have increased. At this fair, most of the visitors are manufacturers based in Shenzhen. Our main fabric here is voile, used for party dresses for example, and so many buyers have requested this item. Being part of the Korea Pavilion is better than in an individual booth. Buyers can see the Korea Pavilion, identify where we’re from and it helps generate more interest.” Mr Jay Hwang, General Manager, SK Tex Co Ltd (Korea Pavilion)
"Most of our products are fabrics produced in Japan, and we have also brought our spring and summer collections to this fair. Since we have an office in Shenzhen and many of our apparel industry clients are from South China as well, we decided to exhibit at Intertextile Shenzhen to look for new customers in the Greater Bay Area, and increase our brand exposure. Today we have connected with many Chinese buyers, and visitors from Europe and the US have also come to our booth to learn about our products.” Mr Tomokazu Matsuda, KITATI Co Ltd (Japan Pavilion)
“Our collection comes from Italy, and the quality is very well-known. We are about 200 years old and supply brands such as Chanel, Max Mara, Celine, and Gucci. In China, our presence is growing due to the rise of online brands, with buyers interested due to our association with Europe. For autumn, most of our products are wool, mohair, alpaca, while for spring we use cotton, polyester, and more. At Intertextile Shenzhen, we are showing S/S and A/W fabrics together, and buyers have been looking for both.” Mr Dongbo Han, Dongyu Chengxin International Fashion Fabric (Lanificio Paoletti agent)
Visitors’ comments
“At this fair, our association members want to communicate with yarn, fabric, accessories and other exhibitors, keep up to date with the latest industry developments, and discover new products and advanced technologies. We made good progress and found many interested potential partners, and we will follow up with them after we return. This year's visa-free entry policy is very conducive to business exchange between Malaysia and China, making it easier to come here, and greatly enhancing sourcing efficiency.”
Mr Kuan Chee Tan, President, Malaysia Knitting Manufacturers Association
“Perhaps 70% of our customers are online brands with thousands of stock keeping units, and we help them procure fabrics and finished garments, store them, and handle logistics. We develop systems software for e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, AliExpress, and Amazon. Some of our clients are very interested in new fashion industry trends, and products such as eco-friendly, recycled fabrics, and nature-friendly accessories. I’m exploring jacquard for airline uniforms, Italian booths for R&D and trends, and bridal wear. As an EACham member, this is probably one of the best shows I’ve been to but I need to explore more.”
Mr Dileep Kumar, Director, ExPlus Logistics (Member of European-American Chamber of Commerce & Industry)
Speakers’ insights
“The presentation today was about our self-developed innovative functional fibre yarns that are super strong and tough. Afterwards, attendees can visit our booth to exchange thoughts and learn more about the relevant technologies, therefore holding concurrent seminars is useful. At this fair, there are more of our target buyers who have consulted with us, and many manufacturers are now looking for such functional materials. We also noticed buyers from Europe and the US are more interested in sustainable fibres.”
Mr Kang Zhang, Technical Manager, Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Limited (Speaker at Bioinspired Super Fibre with High Strength, Toughness and Damping Performance seminar)
“My key point was the use of AI technology for high-speed recognition of materials, colour, garment type, and construction, which are important elements for textile recycling. I also promoted technology to draw fibres from existing garments, and ensure they are as long as possible, in order to recycle garments to yarns. The industry audience here was informed, drawing links between what I said and their situations. This was a good platform to share that recycling technology already exists and it’s time to step up in this area.”
Mr Raymond Chiu, Senior Research Manager, The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (Speaker at Threads of Innovation: Textile x AI Exploration and Prospect seminar)
Held concurrently with Yarn Expo Shenzhen and PH Value, Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; Messe Frankfurt (Shenzhen) Co Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Textile Information Center.

I've assigned Robin Wall Kimmerer's (2015) "Braiding Sweetgrass" in our doctoral seminar this semester. In that book, Kimmerer wrestles between two epistemologies of knowing: scientific knowledge (SK) and traditional ecological knowledge (TEK). Each week, the students and I share reflections on the assigned chapter in any form we choose. These reflections should convey how the chapter resonates with our scholarly imagination. Students have brought in home-tapped maple syrup, handmade yarn coil baskets, salsa with homegrown tomatillos, written reflections, and other personal artifacts. Like Kimmerer, I'm wrestling with SK and TEK in my identity as a scholar. For Chapter 3, I prepared this document. On the first page are excerpts from the chapter that convey the tension. On the second page is an excerpt from a manuscript rejection letter that explains that the reason for the reject is the epistemological conflict between enactivism and semiotics. Also on that page is an excerpt from a paper that explores what happens in a community of practice (Lave & Wenger, 1991) when the participants have different epistemologies. Moral of the story? Diversity in epistemological is good for the work and a whole lotta fun. Good times, I tell ya. [Also pictured is a woman drinking knotgrass tea and either enjoying it or losing her mind. Then there's me, with hair of braided sweetgrass.]

DENNING // @beholdenning
currently lacks in ongoing threads. if you'd like to write something with them that isn't listed here, feel free to drop me a line!
hag and mag (requires blue lion): you know denning will attempt to fucking kill them. they don't care for the bounty, so someone who doesn't share his motivation of pure duty would be most interesting here. hell, maybe they just want the money. / caeda
sword +1: have you ever wanted to be hunted through a forest by a cold unfeeling freak with a preternatural sense for tracking prey? now is your opportunity! they're specifically only armed with painted leather balls and the non-lethal traps that were set up so they don't kill anyone on accident, but the sense of danger is real and there. good luck <3 / petra, lloyd
axe +1 (requires blue lion): i think denning would "enjoy" carpentry. / hector
heavy armor +1 (requires blue lion): could be interesting.
EDWARD // you are here! (full of threads, but still very loud in my brain. leaning more short-form!)
sword +1: this is a composure seminar but i think he'd have an absolute ball with it — would only fight back in the sense of purposely confusing the instructor or running them into their own traps, if prompted, haha. just like old times! looney toons ass progression is what i'm hoping for, as well as an outlet for mischief. / tormod
pasithee: he's made a little round thing of black yarn and googly eyes to pass to her. don't snitch, it doesnt have any weapons or lockpick tools inside. empathetic or antagonistic muses both cool! / maria
axe +1 (requires lion): learning to help rebuild is valuable experience he can take home to daein! / pelleas
infirmary: ohhh you want to check in on his stupid ass sooo bad
general team tau/tellius call: ohhh you wanna reunite soooo badddd
CHAD // @lycianlynx
full up. only taking ONE of the below unless discussed prior:
authority +1: they got some cards secondhand for the art and are at least a bit curious. teach 'em the ropes?
sword +1: i need to put more fear of god in them. thinks they're composed til they're not.
