Dungeon: Grandfather's Hungering Maw
Said to have been carved by an exiled dwarven king after his name and ignominious deeds were stricken from the records of his clan, this brooding edifice contains a darkness far deeper than any normal glacial cave.
The dungeon's name comes from a settlement in the foothills, with a mostly human population ignorant of the monument's dwarven origins. In their myths the face is infact that of a great giant, tricked by the folkhero founder of their village into staying very, very still while he was served a great feast, growing so spoiled and indolent that he was eventually buried by the mountain snow and froze solid. A recent series of avalanches that've buried paths and even destroyed homesteads have put it into people's heads that grandfather might be waking up.
Adventure Hooks:
A merchant caravan the party is riding along with takes a detour up into the highlands, following rumours of a village that's paying a premium for foodstuffs of late. Upon arrival they're strongarmed out of their cargo by a crowd of armed villagers, who heap the provisions on an overburned yak cart set to depart up the mountain on the next day. Fear of the giant has made some of the villagers turn into a panicked mob, emptying the granaries and raiding their neighbour's larders to supply ever larger and hastier "tribute" runs up to the mountain's mouth. Food is growing scarce in the village, and those with the foresight to worry about winter provisions dare not speak up: An old woman was accidentally killed trying to fend off the toughs uprooting her garden, and her still warm body was piled into the yak cart next to her unripe rutabagas.
Seeking the power of her infamous ancestor, a disfavoured daughter of the dwarven throne has ventured to the Maw with a group of sellswords in tow in the hopes of discovering the means of making herself queen. Down into the mountain's gullet they've found a great labyrinth, hewn over centuries by the still shuffling corpse of the nameless king, unable to fully rest until he has constructed a tomb worthy of his hubris. The would be ruler and her entourage are eating well thanks to the unsuspecting villagers' food deliveries, and have a few agents in town helping the process along while they continue their delve.
There's more than a stone worn skeleton and a few fortune hunters inhabiting the depths. A millennia ago Ahlkenahl the Vanquisher was a feared demon of war, thought invincible before the dwarven king forged a ring with the fiend's true name inscribed upon it and forced the Vanquisher to pledge an oath of eternal servitude. Driven into exile along with his mortal captor, Ahlkenahl has resentfully laboured alongside the king as he descended into witless undeath, even centuries after the ring was lost somewhere in the tomb along with the chipped fingerbone it rested on. The demon's occasional demolition filled bouts of rage cause the avalanches on the mountain's exterior, and they've only grown more frequent as he's attempted to stop the Heir and her underlings from finding the ring.
It's a three way race between the players, the dwarven heir, and the fiend to see who can find the ring first, having to not only battle eachother, but subterranean monsters, collapsing tunnels, and freezing glacier caverns along the way. Of course Ahlkenahl doesn't play fair, as the fiend can revive any body that finds its way into the Hungering Maw (such as dead villagers loaded on the Yak cart or slain sellswords) into undead minions, growing in strength as the situation becomes more desperate. The fiend can even send the undead down into the valley to do his bidding, chasing after whichever group managed to get the ring first or even go on a murder-filled supply run to bring back more bodies.
Simply getting the ring isn't enough to control Ahlhenahl, as the war-demon's true name is written in an infernal script that must be researched before it can be understood and spoken aloud. This gives the party a chance to catch up if the heir makes it out of the labyrinth with the prize and vice versa. It likewise gives Ahlkenahl's undead minions time to become a real threat both in number and as he deliberately creates more fearsome versions.
The Vanquisher can freely communicate with anyone holding the ring, an ability originally intended to allow the exiled king to command his bound demon in the field which now allows Ahlkenahl to whisper temptation into the ear of whoever holds it. Think of what he could do for them if they let him out of the labyrinth, the enemies he could slay, the kingdom he could carve on their behalf. Sure it would mean unleashing a walking massacre on the landscape but what's a little carnage between pactmates?

Kaiju Week in Review (January 28-February 3, 2024)
youtube
Minecraft: Bedrock Edition's Godzilla DLC is now available. I joined Wikizilla's stream of it yesterday as a spectator and found it quite entertaining (especially when @squid-in-a-party-hat switched to Creative Mode and started summoning mini-kaiju). I'll post the highlight reel from that stream when it's finished. The main hub of this DLC is a combination movie theater/gallery; each of the four screens lets you access a different minigame. The first is based on the original film and has you rescuing civilians and just trying to survive as Godzilla trashes Tokyo. The second transforms you into Godzilla and pits you and your allies against various kaiju from the first three series. The third tasks you with defending Tokyo against Shin Godzilla, with each defensive phase featuring a different form. The fourth just has you taking photos of the battles in Godzilla vs. Kong (with the Tasmian Sea fight replaced by Godzilla barging into Kong's dome). I found the second and third to be the most interesting, but it's dismaying that only the third really takes advantage of these games being in Minecraft. You scrounge items, build barricades, lay down TNT, trade with NPCs, summon agents, fire blood coagulation potion into Godzilla's mouth from a crossbow... it's a lot more involved than the others.
In further Godzilla video game news, the Heisei MOGUERA and a crystal-hurling SpaceGodzilla variation have joined Godzilla Battle Line, the upcoming Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers mobile game is teasing its original monsters, and Dave the Diver of all things announced a free PlayStation-exclusive Godzilla DLC for May.
Here's a rare sequel to an IDW Godzilla miniseries. Godzilla: Here There Be Dragons II - Sons of Giants will boast the same writer (Frank Tieri) and artist (Inaki Miranda) as its predecessor. The logline:
The sequel to last summer’s smash miniseries! Frank Tieri and Inaki Miranda reunite to explore the conspiracy that led to Sir Francis Drake hiding his treasure on Monster Island! Who are the Sons of Giants, and what is their mission? More importantly, what is their connection to Godzilla and the other monsters? This series shows us how it all came to be, how Godzilla was discovered by the leaders of the world, and how it changed history forever!
Despite the Roman numerals, sounds like a prequel. I still think there's something off about any Godzilla story set before the Atomic Age, but the Sons of Giants were the most interesting part of the original Here There Be Dragons, and historical figures encountering the King of the Monsters is always amusing.
Naturally, Funko is making a line of Pops for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The standout is the Amazon-exclusive figure of a sleeping Godzilla; I also love how Shimo looks like she's yakking. Monogram also revealed the lineup for its sixth wave of Toho Godzilla bag clips, as well as a GxK set. Highlights of the former are a curled-up Final Wars Anguirus, a Simeon, and Zilla; the latter is notable for including a previously-unrevealed monster called a Parrot Frog.
youtube
Tokyo's Hibiya neighborhood has long played host to Godzilla statues: first the Kawakita Godzilla, then Shin. Now they're getting a new three-meter statue of the original '54 Godzilla. It emits smoke at night, the mouth glows, and there seems to be some kind of AR app through which he fires atomic breath at you. Despite it being a 70th anniversary installation, however, it'll only be in Hibiya until March 10. I'm guessing that won't be the last we see of it.

MCC Teams for QSMP Guys
Disclaimer: These aren't official teams or even official predictions or anything. I have no idea if the QSMP guys who aren't in MCC already want to play or even know it exists. I'm just autistic.
RED RABBITS: HBomb94, Philza, Forever, Cellbit
This was the first team that came to me and it all spiraled out of control from here. H is the master of teaching new players, which is good if it's not a whole event of new people (spoiler alert: it is). Philza is also a solid player who knows the Brazilians well enough to teach them how to do MCC and also hold his own just fine. I expect Forever would hold his own just fine. A lot of the games that are hard for newcomers are hard because a lot of MCC guests aren't Minecrafters. I expect Forever to be able to handle himself with an elytra, for example, and H is the SOT king and also a Buildmart enjoyer so he can pick up the slack for the rest. Cellbit may be an unexpected popoff in Parkour Tag with his Esconde-Esconde experience. I'm not sure if he's ever touched an elytra.
Sorrel Assigned Sandkeeper: Cellbit. He can have red puzzle too though, as a treat. And the rest of the spawn puzzles will actually get solved for once!
ORANGE OCELOTS: Roier, Tubbo, Quackity, Punz
Roier is Good At Minecraft but he's also shy about the fact that he's good at Minecraft and not particularly interested in tryharding. He would most likely be looking for a team that isn't throwing on purpose, but also doesn't mind if he's not doing homework for the video game. Pairing him with known goofball Tubbo and good buddy Quackity makes sense for that. Punz is a very versatile S tier. He's fully capable of being a sweaty little bastard, but he's good at not being toxic about it and especially at not getting toxic towards his teammates. I think he could do well with just hanging out with a couple old friends and making sure a new one has a good time.
Sorrel Assigned Sandkeeper: Quackity is the best choice as the full bilingual and least likely to survive in the tunnels.
YELLOW YAKS: Shadoune, Etoiles, Aypierre, Baghera
The French Team. Frankly, I think the chance of Etoiles getting into MCC is pretty slim. He is simply too powerful. Scott has talked before about having enough S tiers and needing more mid and lower tier players and Etoiles would Not help with that. Adding Shadoune and Aypierre to that is honestly a bit ridiculous. Baghera is not a nerf to this team either. She doesn't have nearly as much Minecraft experience as the others but she is learning very quickly. I did nearly switch her out to try and balance this obscenely powerful team. Their big weakness though is their MCC inexperience. Shadoune is the only one who has played MCC before and he hasn't even been in a handful of events yet. Late games with high learning curves could seriously hamstring them.
Sorrel Assigned Sandkeeper: Pierre. I was super super impressed with Pierre's comms with Foolish when they broke into the Federation and I want to see him do comms more.
LIME LLAMAS: Illumina, Spreen, Slimecicle, Mariana
Yeah, okay, this is Pink17 with a twist. This is the only chance we're gonna have to pair Spreen with another S tier though so we gotta take it. To be fair, I don't actually know how good Mariana is at Minecraft. That being said, I do know he's not super comfortable in his English abilities. This is essentially two teams speaking two languages wearing a giant trenchcoat, so I figured it would be best to give them Illumina, king of minding his own business and showing up at the end of the game with half his team's coins.
Sorrel Assigned Sandkeeper: Slime. The Spanish speakers know more English than the English speakers know Spanish and asking someone to sandkeep in their second language in their first MCC is cruel.
GREEN GECKOS: Jojo, Vegetta, Maximus, OllieGamerz
The Spanish Team. I really tried so hard to pair Vegetta with Foolish, but ultimately I think he would just be most comfortable with people who all speak his own language. This is another scary powerful team, by the way. Jojo and Ollie were half the team that got the first canon team with two new players a win since MCC 6 and Vegetta is widely considered to be a Minecraft god. I'm not sure his skills transfer to MCC, but it can't hurt! Maxo is here instead of Mariana despite being more comfortable with English because I couldn't deprive the people of their Slimeriana crumbs, however he's another one whose MCC skill I'm not sure of. He's known mostly for his RP like Quackity Slime and Wilbur, but he also has an extremely dope Create mod house so he's definitely more cracked at the craft than them.
Sorrel Assigned Sandkeeper: Ollie. He's trained for it and studied for it before his first MCC and Vegetta and Maximus should both be able to at least survive dungeon conditions.
CYAN COYOTES: Mike, Pac, Fruitberries, Cubfan
Obviously, Tazercraft come as a duo. Do not separate. For them, I wanted people who matched their energy. Specifically, strange, bewildering, and staggeringly competent, while still making the most baffling decisions you've ever seen in your life. Fruitberries was an obvious choice. I think introducing them to Cubfan might be dangerous lest they give each other ideas for projects, but hopefully they'll be too focused on the games for any old projects to come up. I sure hope none of the games resemble any games Tazercraft have previously designed!
Sorrel Assigned Sandkeeper: Cubfan. He is like the Only guy in MCC who I trust equally as a runner and a sandkeeper which means that I trust him to sandkeep here.
AQUA AXOLOTLS: PeteZahHutt, Jaiden, Fit, CPK
This is just a pretty regular MCC team. Pete and CPK is a very strong combination and I don't expect Fit to be bad at Minecraft, but given the absolute powerhouses that are the French and Spanish teams, I think this is probably fine.
Sorrel Assigned Sandkeeper: Fit. Pete has a habit of making risky plays that don't always pay off. I think the scary teacher voice could check that impulse.
BLUE BATS: Badboyhalo, Krtzyy, Smallishbeans, Grian
Here's a PG team for you, king. You've earned it. Yes, Dave can be PG when they need to be. For the record, I'm deeply curious about what Bad puts down on his sign up sheet for his PGness preference. Either way, this is a team of all around strong players without a standout star. We're looking at a repeat of Aqua29 here.
Sorrel Assigned Sandkeeper: Krtzyy. Everyone on this team can run but Dave enjoys it the least and actually had their first decent time ever playing Sands of Time as a sandkeeper for Aqua29. They've been playing since MCC1 by the way.
PURPLE PANDAS: Scott, Shubble, Foolish, Purpled
This is the part of the teams list when I went "okay I guess I'm making a full ten teams now, so I have to get the guys with standing invitations in". For the record, that's Scott (it's his event), Shubble (she's Scott's bestie), and Wilbur (he was one of the earliest believers). Purpled is here instead of Wilbur because he's Ever So Slightly More Cracked At The Craft, however this team is actually impossible and would never happen in canon. Scott Smajor has made it very clear that he would never put Purpled on the Purple team. Anyway, Foolish is also here!
Sorrel Assigned Sanddaddy: Scott.
PINK PARROTS: FireBreathMan, Felps, AntoineDaniel, Wilbur Soot
Y'all remember everyone wailing and gnashing their teeth about Blue29 because FBM was being unfairly nerfed by being saddled with three "bad" players and it was so incredibly mean to those players he was with and also like they got 6th overall and did Literally Fine? No? Only me carrying that grudge? Anyway, here's a perfectly fair and balanced team that no one would complain about at all. No but for real, this is the team I couldn't switch Antoine and Baghera on because that would break it.
Sorrel Assigned Sandkeeper: Wilbur. Sorry Scott got to the daddy joke first.
#sorrelposting#qsmp#mcc#i would put this on the reddit however hte reddit protest#this is a reddit post in spirit

JUDGEMENT.
I had SO much fun doing this piece for my current Storm King's Thunder Campaign. This is Indra, our party's scourge aasimar zealot barbarian!
Context for the image under the cut.
Our current campaign is storm king's thunder, and my character Indra is a scourge aasimar zealot barbarian. The party's made it to the Fire Giant's Volcano after learning that the Yak folk have been taking people as slaves for the giants. After defeating the Yak folk, we're crawling through the forge to try and steal a quest item from Duke Zalto. One of the NPCs has a brother enslaved in the forge, so we agreed to escort her to him.
After finding where he was, we had to fight some ogres, but not before they called for backup. We fought our first fire giant, and our bard was able to get him prone using Tasha's Hideous Laughter. I asked the DM if Indra could just decapitate him since we'd been fighting for a while, and my DM stated that if her attack rolls did considerate enough damage, he'd allow her to kill him on his turn.
She did 62 damage, which allowed me to describe a very cool scene of her dragging her axe behind her (to mirror the way he dragged his hammer behind him).
In two cleaves of her axe, the laughter went silent.
Thank you to our DM and our Bard for setting up such a cool opportunity!!!

Looks like Metazooa got an update a few days ago. It now has two annelids (earthworm and leech), and two myriapods (centipede and millipede), among other things. There's also now enough snakes that the puzzle no longer feels as much like it's about trying to think of every snake in existence until one finally comes up as a possibility. The amount of fish has improved, too.
But a few answers were also removed, for some reason. One of them was "lizard", which I'm in favour of, but the others included more specific stuff like brown crab and whale shark. Maybe whale shark was removed because its closest shared group in this system (Galeoidea) doesn't have a Wikipedia page? You can still get it to come up, though, because the remaining sharks are all in it.
Also, they removed two birds, and added zero. Maybe because the classification they're using splits Neognathae, the clade that most modern birds are in, into twenty-eight direct subgroups? The game only has birds from eleven of those (twelve before the current changes), but that's still enough to justify using a hint if it's not a passerine or fowl.
This game is a cool idea, which is why I just spent so much time rambling about some fairly minor changes, but I still think it could use a lot of improvement.
Actually, here's a probably full list of what was added and removed, just in case anyone else cares! I got the names from the page source, which lists them so they can pop up as suggestion. I had a list to compare from for reasons. In total, unless I missed something, there were thirty-two additions, and eight removals.
Added: Earthworm (annelid) Leech (annelid) Mussel (bivalve) Nautilus (cephalapod) Giant octopus (cephalapod) Bigfin squid (cephalopod) Centipede (myriapod) Millipede (myriapod) Barnacle (crustracean) Pillbug (crustacean) Mantis shrimp (crustacean) Prawn (crustacean) Mayfly (insect) Hercules beetle (insect) Sea cucumber (echinoderm) Sand dollar (echinoderm) Goblin shark (cartilaginous fish) Tiger shark (cartilaginous fish) Tuna (ray-finned fish) Guppy (ray-finned fish) Anglerfish (ray-finned fish) Boa constrictor (lepidosauran reptile) Rattlesnake (lepidosauran reptile) Viper (lepidosauran reptile) King cobra (lepidosauran reptile) Tortoise (archelosaurian reptile) Snapping turtle (archelosaurian reptile) Caiman (archelosaurian reptile) Opossum (mammal) Possum (mammal) Chipmunk (mammal) Moose (mammal) Yak (mammal)
Removed: Brown crab (crustacean) Shrimp (crustracean) Whale shark (cartilaginous fish) Lizard (lepidosauran reptile) Albatross (bird) Rockhopper penguin (bird) Naked mole-rat (mammal) Snow leopard (mammal)
#Metazooa#taxonomy#And that's the... Metazooa report I guess#I can't do much right now but I can sort a bunch of arbitrary animals by clade!#I think they should have every animal/monophyletic group with a distinct common name#Where are my pelican eels and Christmas beetles#Just a giant free-for-all on how'd you'd even define that#I nearly missed moose#Unless it was there the whole time and I didn't write it down earlier?#I always get the definition mixed up with elk since there's some overlap

also thai does this fun thing so well their alphabet is actually an abugida so there's a base character, usually a consonant and the vowel is added in proximity to it like literally in radius of it
but anyway the point is that they borrowed a lot of it from other south asia languages specifically ones like sanskrit and pali and if you know anything about those languages you know they have sounds like t/th/T/TH like that are differentiated based on plositivity and retroflexion (?) and etc etc and all around sometimes sounds that exist in that language but not thai
so this thai king was like word but I wanna know when the pali words are from pali so we're keeping the spelling <3
shit okay soooooo ummmmm so that means there's a lot of repeat characters as in they're the same sounds but are different letters and used in different words so to differentiate they have the letter then a word that contains the letter
so you get letters like khaw khwaay (kh) is the letter and khwaay is the word which means buffalo and you have like chaw chaang which is chaw elephant and ngaw nguu which is ngaw snake and fhyjhujuu so cute to me idk I like it it's so fun but also some of them are random af like yaw yak is yaw giant? and jaw jaan is jaw plate??? and one is oh God what is it thaw montho and montho is like this mythical character like imagine serving so hard you get a letter named after you
actually maybe should read up on montho idek what that's all about but anyway I think it's fun

………………………………………………………………
Luang Phor Pra Sai, Wat Pho Chai, Nong Khai Province
Luang Phor Pra Sai, a large Lan Xang–era Buddha statue awash with gold, bronze and precious stones, sits at the hub of Nong Khai's holiest temple. The head of the image is pure gold, the body is bronze and the Rassami (flame-shaped head ornament) is set with rubies. Due to the great number of miracles attributed to it, this royal temple is a mandatory stop for most visiting Thais.
The legend has it that Luang Phor Pra Sai was one of three similar statues made for each of the daughters of Lao king Setthathirat, and they were taken as bounty after King Rama I sacked Vientiane in 1778. The awesome murals in the hall housing the Buddha image depict their travels from the interior of Laos to the banks of the Mekong, where they were put on rafts. A storm sent one of the statues to the bottom of the river, where it remains today. It was never recovered because, according to one monk at the temple, the naga (which live in the river) wanted to keep it. The third statue, Pra Soem, is at Wat Pathum Wanaram, next to Siam Paragon in Bangkok. Pra Sai was supposed to accompany it, but, as the murals show, the cart carrying it broke down here and so this was taken as a sign that it wished to remain in Nong Khai.
………………………………………………………………
The Astonishing Miracle Incident
Thai Airways Flight 231 was a scheduled passenger flight that crashed on 27 April 1980. The flight took off from Khon Kaen Airport for Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand. The plane stalled and crashed after entering a thunderstorm on approach to Bangkok. The accident killed 44 out of 53 passengers and crew on board, the 44 included 5 guru monks of “Pra Pa Sai Pra Archan Mun”, the forest monks that followed the path of Pra Archan Mun Bhuridatta, the master of Thai Forest Tradition or "Kammaṭṭhāna tradition" who were invited by the Royal Family for upcoming Royal Rituals. They were Pra Archan Boonma Thitapaemo of Wat Siri Salawan, Pra Udom Sangvon Visutthitain of Wat Tham Apai Damrongtham (Wat Tham Phuang), Pra Archan Juan Koonlachettho of Wat Che Ti Ya Khiri Wihan, Pra Archan Singthong Thammavaro of Wat Pa Kaew Chumphon, and Pra Archan Supat Sukkagamo of Wat Pa Prasitsamakee.
One of the 9 survivors, the warden of Nongkhai Provincial Prison at that time, he was holding a 5 inches wide BE 2520 (CE 1977) statue of Luang Phor Pra Sai that he bought it from Wat Pho Chai and wanted to bring it to his home in Bangkok. After learning that the plane was going to crash, he prayed for Luang Phor Pra Sai for his safety, he was holding, and hugging the statue on his lap on the flight, and also he was wearing Pra Kring Luang Phor Pra Sai amulet, the 1st Batch, BE 2505 (CE 1962). After hearing a big bang, the plane hit the ground and hacked into pieces, his memory was blank, and he felt like he was lifted up in the air, then he was standing at the crash scene in the rubbles with pieces of human remains, and the survivors were shouting and creaming, once he regained consciousness he was holding Luang Phor Pra Sai in his arms without knowing what just happened, and he was safe and sound without any injury.

Creating Concepts:
Project 2: Human vs Inhuman
For my next assignment, I wanted to take a different path away from environment concepts and utilised my skills to come up with a character design. This assignment was flexible in allowing me to create a different edge from my usual works.
I grew up with many media products depicting fantasy worlds inspired by mythology and cultural urban legends. Popularised lores have now become common knowledge of 'inhuman' or 'humanoid' creative concepts (to name a few: vampires, werewolves, mermaids, fairies).
Considering the endless possibilities of creating inhuman concepts, I used this opportunity to trace back to my national origins and base my concept around Thai culture. This led me to focusing on creating a character that is representative of Buddhist mythology.
I went ahead and studied about a national epic that has been a major focus in Thai literature, art and drama. Ramakien (Thai: รามเกียรติ์) is a famous telling of the original Sanskrit Ramayana epic.
The story depicts a journey of conflicts, as Prah Ram travels through the world overcoming many hurdles and transformations - one of which who he must defeat is the giant King of demons, Thotsakan (Ravana).
Thotsakan (ทศกัณฐ์) is the famous villain in the epic, who has been the main depiction of giants in Buddhist mythology. These depictions are seen as statues guarding many Buddhist temples in Thailand; the most well-known example being the Wat Arun temple ("Temple of Dawn"), where the most popular Thotsakan statue is.
Thus, I went ahead and further studied the Yak giants by understanding their build and exploring their shape language. I want to show their abnormal height and structure into my character creation, by indicating that while humanoid, they are far from human.
In one of our workshops, my tutor went through utilising shape language within character design, which consists of three simple shapes: triangle, square and circle.
Certain shapes indicate certain traits - whether it be to communicate a physical attribute of a character or their personality: Triangles are seen as hasty, dangerous and agile. Squares compliment sturdiness and strength. Circles imply youthfulness and delicacy.
I went ahead using this on Yak giants and found out how squares and triangles make their designs intimidating and threatening.
This use of shape language is what I want to implement within my character design.
In the bigger scope, I wanted my character concept to not only mix inhuman and human aspects together, but also traditional and modern culture as well, hence the relation to my research. I also wanted to merge Western and Eastern aspects to this assignment as well, to communicate my mixed background. I figured that by representing my underrated culture through this, I could possibly introduce a unique approach to character creations.
A few examples above explain my motive for pursuing a character design idea of inhuman vs human - a contemporary, casual approach of inhuman, old-age lore makes a fun idea to experiment with!
My later post will involve further studies of Yak giants and the first produced idea of my character concept.

So far, Foosh has started a giant gang war (Green Geckos vs Red Rabbits and Yellow Yaks), spread a lot of propaganda, used KryticZeuZ's 'This is your Green Gecko Leader' video as a recruitment tool, and died several times in Hole in the Wall. He's currently trying to get Punz to switch from Pink to Green.
YASSSSSSS my green geckos king………

5, 8, 13, 16, 34, 37 for the dm ask game
5. what is your favorite part about running a game?
i love it when my players have better ideas than i do! i'm kinda bad at planning and i work best as a gm when i'm thinking on my feet, and players giving me springboards to jump off of is so good. like bro. that's such a good idea. i'm gonna kiss you on the lips
8. what types of stories do you like to tell? what is a game of yours incomplete without?
i'm not a very talented writer by any stretch of the imagination, so in general i like telling pretty straightforward stories. a clear goal, a very present antagonistic force, that kind of thing. my goal in that kind of storytelling, i guess, is for depth and complexity to arise organically through pc interaction. then i don't have to work as hard!
13. favorite place(s) you’ve described or created?
the answer that immediately springs to mind is Fallenspire, a city inside a giant hollow obelisk that fell over a really long time ago. i created these four boroughs with distinct traits and features and complex relationships to each other. it was cool figuring out how a city works, at least in terms of personality if not mechanically. a close second would have to be a big tree i came up with on the spot for a game of EAT AND GROW, a sort of ttrpg-improv game hybrid i made up. it was this huge redwood that had various residences and structures placed on its branches all the way up to the top, including a yak in a yurt, some greaser hummingbirds chilling in a birdbath filled with mountain dew, and a little castle with a rat inside called "the king".
16. is there something that you desperately want to run someday, be it a specific system, setting, module, campaign, npc, etc?
ooouugghhhhhh i want to run monster of the week. or masks. or dungeon world. literally any powered by the apocalypse system. i don't even have a super clear idea of what i'd want to do, but i've just had such an absolute blast as a player in pbta campaigns. i love dnd and i treasure the time i've spent playing 5e, but for me roleplaying is the central experience to playing a ttrpg, and dnd is somewhat lacking in that respect
34. do you do anything adjacent to your games like make playlists or journal (in character or about the game)?
sometimes! i like to make little doodles of characters and places i've come up with, but i don't do it all that often. i should, though! it's fun
37. favorite npc(s) you’ve ever played?
gotta be bouncierge, the gelatinous cube concierge at a magical monster hotel
