Never despise the Ikin, they are not same with the ordinary kernels
IKIN IFA IS NOT ÈKÙRỌ́.
The palm-trees that produces Ikin Ifá is not the same with the palm-trees that produces èkùrọ́. Èkùrọ́ resembles Ikin but it is not Ikin Ifá.
Igba ọlọ̀gbẹ̀rì tí n bú Ikin wa lékùrọ́
Ikin mọ ti di òrìsà.
Every Ikin Ifá has a name attributed to it.
1. A three-eyed Palm-nut (oloju meta) is called Ọ̀sá Ikin. It is not regarded as a valid Ikin Ifá. It is not even acceptable for casting Ifá when doing consultation.
2. A four-eyed Palm-nut (oloju merin) is called Awìnrìn-Ikin. It is the most common Ikin Ifá. It is the Ikin Ifá that babalawo mostly use to do divination.
3. There's a five-eyed (oloju marun) Ikin Ifá.
4. A six-eyed Ikin Ifá is called Òdùsọ̀–Ikin. Very valid Ikin.
** 5. There's a eight eyes Ikin Ifá. There's Ikin Ifá with ten eyes and sixteen eyes. These categories are very scarce and very rare to find

"Èṣù/Ellequa!: The Misunderstood Deity in Yọrùbá Religion"
Èṣù is one of the most misunderstood deities in the Yọrùbá pantheon. Often portrayed as the devil or Satan in Western media and popular culture, Èṣù is actually a complex and multifaceted deity with a rich history and important role in Yọrùbá culture and religion.
In Yọrùbá religion and mythology, Èṣù is the deity of crossroads, communication, and trickery. He is often depicted as a mischievous figure, playing pranks on humans and other deities alike. However, his role is much more nuanced than simply causing chaos and confusion.
Èṣù is seen as a mediator between the spiritual and physical worlds. He is responsible for conveying prayers and offerings to the other deities and is the messenger between the gods and humans. As the deity of communication, he is also associated with language and speech, and is often invoked during important ceremonies and rituals.
Despite his important role in Yọrùbá culture, Èṣù has been demonized and vilified in Western media. This is largely due to the influence of Christian missionaries, who saw Èṣù as a threat to their own religious beliefs and sought to discredit him by associating him with Satan.
However, this portrayal is not only inaccurate, but also harmful. By equating Èṣù with Satan, Western media perpetuates harmful stereotypes and reinforces negative attitudes towards African religions and cultures.
The portrayal of Èṣù as a demonic figure also erases the complex and multifaceted nature of Yọrùbá religion. Yọrùbá belief systems are not dualistic like Christianity, where there is a clear division between good and evil. Instead, Yọrùbá deities like Èṣù embody a range of qualities, both positive and negative, and are often seen as complex figures who can be both helpful and mischievous. By reducing Èṣù to a caricature of evil, Western media misses the nuances of Yọrùbá religion and perpetuates harmful stereotypes that can lead to discrimination and prejudice again

When Osun sought to improve
her life, she went to consult Ifa. The awo advised her to
sacrifice. Osun complied. But still, her life wasn't complete.
Something was missing. So she returned to the babalawo for
clarification. The awo advised Osun not to worry. Her sacrifice
was accepted. All she needed to do was practice sacred
service and everything else would come together. Again, Osun
complied. She began to devote her life to spiritual service,
tending to the needy, treating the sick and uplifting the
powerless. All blessings then manifested in her life. Osun found
complete fulfillment. Ritual and ceremony alone are not enough
to heal your life. Olodumare has blessed you with great power
and purpose. Like Osun, you too must augment your rituals
with sacred service. In the Orisa Lifestyle Academy, you can
practice self discovery, spiritual devotion and sacred

Which was the child of Olodumare,.
She was asked to make Ebo
And she did as she was told,

ITEFA! ITEFA!! ITEFA!!!
Receiving the hand of Orunmila means to receive the sacred palm nuts (Ikin) that represent Orunmila/Ifa and to receive a temporary Odu – sign of Destiny; it will be revealed the personal Irunmole, the prohibitions (taboo), how to walk the path in order to start living a better life.
The one who is in possess of the Ifa shrine must be worshipping it every Ose Ifa (day of Ifa) with chants chosen from the personal Odu, by offering obi or orogbo, water, food, and praying.
Ifa is always guiding us and listening to our prayers and for the one who worship Ifa nothing is impossible to achieve.
