Hey anyone have a pdf of the Japanese copy of Nakahara Chuuya’s poems? I have them in translation but that doesn’t capture the syllabic rhythm so I was thinking I’d write in the Japanese myself for my own reference.

chuuya nakahara meets chūya nakahara!!!

Chūya Nakahara (1907-1937) was a dadaist poet who prided himself in his anti political and societal beliefs and explored European surrealist techniques in his writing. He was inspired in his works by the French poets Paul Verlaine and Author Rimbaud, and though his poetry is not extremely well known, it stands out due to its melancholy and lyrical nature (that reflected his emotional state throughout his life).

The poem Chuuya's ability is named after is "For the Tainted Sorrow", a short poem written in 1934:

For the tainted sorrow,

today too snow falls on it;

For the tainted sorrow,

today too wind blows on it.

For the tainted sorrow,

is like, say, a fox's fur;

For the tainted sorrow,

covered with snow, curls up.

For the tainted sorrow,

has no desires or wishes;

For the tainted sorrow,

In langour dreams of death.

For the tainted sorrow,

frightens me piteously;

For the tainted sorrow,

can't be remedied, and the sun sets...

To me it seems like it's about the inevitable and unmoving sadness that taints the human spirit (described as snow covered fur and irremediable), but that despite it, life keeps going (the sun sets regardless). Idk! It's cool! I invite y'all to take the time today to read some of the author's work. I've been able to find snippets of one of his famous collections Song of the Goat (Yagi no uta) so I recommend checking out some of these since that's where For the Tainted Sorrow was published :3

I also participated in the MC today, I had a fresh and fun talk with, Akiyama Mao-chan❤️ Ise Layla-chan🧡 Shimakawa Hana-chan💚

Danbara Ruru-chan, had an MC where she talked about what she liked about me, Kyun..🥹🥹

Yagi Shiori-chan also introduced a story, about going to see Shiki Theater, With her mother and I

Since it was really a wonderful work that I was moved by, And since its thanks to having met Yagishio, I'm verryyyy thankful🫶🏻

With that, I sat in the seats next to Yagishio's mother, and watched it🫶🏻 She is a kind mother, and gave a lot of lot of praise, towards Hello members… Thank you very much🫶🏻

She had been given her first real assignment. More of an emergency that she was apparently selected for to help. She didn’t know why or what she was supposed to be doing, she only knew the location. No other details.

When she arrived she was greeted with utter destruction, the familiar scent of blood in the air that sent chills down her spine. She heard screams and went to find the cause, but Chuuya was the last thing she expected to see. Or was it even really him? The marks on his skin sent terror through her that she hasn’t felt in a very long time. This was his corruption.

All pleasantries and facades went out the window at once. “CHUUYA!” She cried out desperately in an attempt to gain his attention. She had to stop him, she knew what this kind of power could do. She was already more scared than she had ever been in her life. Simply because she was face to face with a monster much like herself, but she had to try and save him before he did something he truly would regret.

In April 2022, the second part of “Free!-the Final Stroke-” will be released. The end of the first part was very painful, I wonder how the second part will turn out... 😢

Ise-san had a strong presence from the audition times, and I took the liberty of noticing that back then 👀

Whenever we meet, we update each other on recent happenings and talk about all kinds of stuff! I’m glad we finally got to take a picture together~~~~ 😂
