Hinihingal ka lang
May oras pang natitira
Kahit parang ang layo pa, habol
Kung harangan ka man
Sumalakay man mga bantay
Lahat kami'y maghihintay
Habol, habol
Dehado kung dehado, para sa'n pa'ng mga galos mo
Kung titiklop ka lang, titiklop ka lang?
Matalo kung matalo, huwag ka sanang magkakamaling
Sumuko na lang, whoa
Maagawan ka man
Lalong huwag kang papipiga
Kumpiyansa lang bawat bangga, whoa-oh-oh
Kumaripas ka na
Humanda ka na sa paglipad
Pakpak nati'y ilalantad, whoa

The euphoria of freedom during ESSUPHORIA 2024 fueled me to rock and roll!
We have celebrated the 20th charter day of Eastern Samar State University through a free concert by Sponge Cola brought us by Cong. Marcelino "Nonoy" Libanan.
The time I heard that Sponge Cola will be having a free concert in ESSU, I suddenly reminisced my childhood back then everytime my uncles would play their songs including other OPM bands. Until now, those kinds of music keeps on playing back in my mind without knowing the song title. I tend to familiarised their song.
As I scrolled down to the page of ESSU looking at the uploaded dress code of the event, I was doubting if I could attend the concert but my friends made a way for me. They asked permission to my lola and by luck, we made it to the concert.
The moment we got there, we came across the distance viewing the crowd as they fall in line to enter the venue while the downpour was starting. It was really a hassle. We were checked by the Criminology Marshalls before we could totally enter the grandstand. We saw the concessionaires offered inside such as coffee, milk shakes, fries, and crochet flowers as well. We bought my favorite iced matcha coffee for three to sip as we vibed to the music of Sponge Cola. We didn't give a damn about our shoes being stuck in the mud since it rained before the said event.
It was indeed a moment of freedom, joy, bond and a deep relieving sigh without thinking about our academics even just for the short period of time. We really had fun that night especially that I was with my genuine friends. We screamed our heart out everytime Yael Yuzon, the vocalist would start a song such as Tuliro, Pag-ibig, Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay and so on. We laughed and even cried, jump and stumped our feet as we relate to the songs.

Rule: Tag 9 people you want to know better!
I was tagged by @patamonn !! Thank you so much! I’m so glad I was able to get to know you a bit better through these 9 questions :)
Favorite piece of clothing you own? I have this “for the house” shorts that I used to wear to the country side whenever I visit my grandparents. My grandmother hated it, our conversation always went like this:
Her: Yan nanaman!? (That again!?)
Me: They’re very comfy!
Her: Gagawin ko yang basahan. (I’ll use that as a cleaning rug.)
Well, she passed away a few years ago and, I dunno, they’re my lucky shorts now. I guess even if she hated them, I always felt as if she was with me whenever I wear it (not that I don’t feel her with me all the time; my mom is betting that my grandmother still hates the shorts).
Your comfort food? Anything cheesy or sweet :3 I love cheese and although I have diabetes (type 2) and kinda allergic to chocolate, my sweet tooth always wins (I was even given no chocolate at all when I was 2yrs old because I had severe allergies--so we resorted to Skittles...unfortunately, my inborn sweet tooth won).
Favorite time of year? Mid-December to Jan 2. I love Christmas and New Year’s Day (especially the Eve’s and my birthday is Jan 2 so...once Jan 3 starts, life is back to being regular life again.
Favorite song? So who really has a favorite song??? But because of Bree, I’ve got an idea.
The first 4 are my country’s local songs (OPMs as they are called). The last is just really my favorite song. The first 3 are in Tagalog though, hehe.
Sponge Cola - Tambay (back when Yael Yuzon was still kinda cute)
True Faith - Dahil Ikaw
Jason Hernandez & Moira De La Torre - Ikaw at Ako
South Border - Rainbow
The Cab - Angel with a Shotgun
Do you collect something?
Um...hmm...dirt and dust in my room.
Favorite drink?
Water!
Favorite fanfiction?
Thank you for reminding me of this!! I was looking for it on ff.net but I can’t find it anymore!! AHHH! It’s a post-Inception fic where Ariadne goes back to college and each chapter, each member of the team end up going there for one reason or another, and everyone’s swooning over them but she’s only got eyes for Arthur who SURPRISE appears in the last chapter FOR HER. And I’m just like...that’s so beautiful.
There’s another one from LiveJournal, it’s also Inception, it’s about the poly fam of Arthur, Ariadne, and Eames. I don’t remember the title or anything about LJ so I can’t find it anymore.
BUT! If I may. My ultimate favorite fics are Twenty Steps (a multichap), Daddy Insecurities, and The Spreading Virus. And guess who wrote all those Inception fics? ME! Those are my babies and I love them so much.
Tagging:
@himetsundere @tangledupblue @ri-ships-takari @dutchforstrangers @earlgreymon @digitalworldbound @yunachunn @sluggybasson107 @yelena-belxva
and anyone else! I hope I didn’t forget anyone.
#type: get to know me chain#this was so fun#i may have done a self insert there#i am not really that sorry huhuhu

Tama, walang laglagan at
Sama-samang hanapin ang liwanag at
Tayo'y magpapaalon sa
Isang daluyong na maghahatid sa atin sa
Isang mahabang panaginip
'Di na hihinto... Ohh...
'Wag kang bibitiw bigla
'Wag kang bibitiw bigla
Higpitan lang ang 'yong kapit
Maglalayag patungong langit
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na
Teka, kaya ba natin 'to
Kung hindi na'y aakayin ka't itatayo
'Yun 'yon, kaya hanggang ngayon
Tuloy, tuloy, tuloy, tuloy, tuloy
'Wag kang bibitiw bigla
'Wag kang bibitiw bigla
Higpitan lang ang 'yong kapit
Maglalayag patungong langit
'Wag kang bibitiw bigla
Pikit ang 'yong mga mata
Higpitan lang ang 'yong kapit
Maglalayag patungong langit
Ating tinig, ating himig
Abot langit
Heto na tayo (heto na tayo)
Heto na tayo (heto na tayo)
'Wag kang bibitiw bigla
'Wag kang bibitiw bigla
Higpitan lang ang 'yong kapit
Maglalayag patungong langit
'Wag kang bibitiw bigla
Pikit ang 'yong mga mata
Higpitan lang ang 'yong kapit
Maglalayag patungong langit
Oh, woah...
Oh, woah...
Oh, woah...
Heto na tayo (heto na tayo)
Heto na tayo (heto na tayo)
Heto na tayo (heto na tayo)

Answer 21, Tag 21
Thanks for the tag @phylophe! I’m actually lonely af in this site. I only stick around because I’m THAT desperate to get my artworks to have some views. 😢
Nickname(s): Naito, mel (I prefer Naito)
Zodiac Sign: Pisces ♓
Height: 5ft 3in. Possibly outdated; This was from way back in high school
Hogwarts House: UMM... SCREW ME. I barely know Harry Potter. O)-<
Last Thing I Googled: 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. When the fq will you release this, Vanillaware?
Favourite Musicians: Hiroyuki Sawano, Yuki Kajiura, Shoji Meguro, Yuki Hayashi, Keiichi Okabe. I’m a sucker for original soundtrack but the soundtrack industry isn’t big outside of Japan and Korea, where OST is a separate genre from the rest. Ayumi Hamasaki’s music back in the 2000s was probably the foundation of the kind of music I like. I really love the variety of Avril Lavigne’s songs. Li Hong Ki and his band FTIsland break the boundary between Japanese and Korean music. They should sing an anime song already. Favorite local PH musicians are Ebe Dancel (formerly Sugarfree) and Yael Yuzon (Sponge Cola). I like rocker-singer-songwriters.
Song Stuck in My Head: Not really ear wormed to it, but randomly singing “Sound of the End” by Keiichi Okabe from the NieR: Automata soundtrack is becoming a habit.
Following Now: 12
Followers: 38
Do I Get Asks?: I’m lonely af. I’d be more than happy to answer them but no one asks me. :<
Amount of Sleep: Est. 10 hours average. I think I’m very slowly falling into the pit of clinical depression.
Lucky Number: How am I supposed to know my lucky number?
What I’m Wearing: Summer get up at home; cotton shirt, loose cotton shorts
Dream Job: I just want to be part of the production of a box office hit and its soundtrack somehow. That’s just a pipe dream though. I have no idea what I want to do now that I’ve graduated college. I’m having a quarter life crisis. 😭
Dream Trip: I want to go to the places that have significance in or remind me of the works of fiction I like. I want to go back to Shibuya, Tokyo in a Shujin Academy uniform (and a Player Pin, and a Mr. Mew plushie with a yellow scarf HAHAHA references overload). I also want to see the Gundam Unicorn in Odaiba, Tokyo. My lifelong goal is to see the Lady and the Unicorn tapestry in Paris.
Favourite Food: sushi/sashimi, Japanese curry, suman (a variety of local rice cakes), maja blanca (local version of blancmange), vanilla ice cream and milk tea
Instruments: None. Yes, I’m boring like that.
Languages: Filipino (Tagalog), English. Trying hard on Japanese and Filipino (Capampangan). Filipino is actually a catch-all term for the 150+ LANGUAGES in the Philippines.
Favourite Song: I have too many favorites to be able to pick one. The newest favorite is “Unti-L” by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:ASCA.
Random Fact: Too much painkillers will ruin your liver. Fact about me? I randomly sing my favorite songs (horribly). It’s because I tend to associate them with things other than the show/game they were used in. For example, I sing StarRingChild or Next 2 U when the stars are bright in the night sky. When I see a passing airplane (especially at night) I sing FRIENDS.
Aesthetic: zettai ryouiki (minus the hideously exaggerated thighs), tights, autumn fashion, warm lighting and vivid colors or cool lighting and dull colors (commonly seen in Korean music videos), bokeh, when warm hard light and dark shadows accentuate the good looks of a person/character, subtle yet meaningful facial expressions/body language
I tag: ............ I told you, I’m lonely af in this site right? OTL

The band formed between 1998 and 2002, Ysmael "Yael" Yuzon and Reynaldo "Gosh" Dilay (both from Ateneo de Manila High School) met through the school's theatre guild, Teatro Baguntao. Yuzon decided to form a band with Dilay and two other members of Teatro Baguntao. They named the group Sponge after R.S. Surtees' Mr. Sponge Sporting Tour, and the band won in several high school competitions boosting their popularity on campuses and in other schools.
After a couple of lineup changes, drummer Christopher "Chris" Cantada and Rampqueen guitarist Erwin "Armo" Armovit joined the band permanently. Later on, they heard of a Detroit grunge band already using the name Sponge. "But we wanted to keep the word Sponge in our band name because people have already associated us with that name...so we decided to add 'Cola', since it's an easy enough word to remember," Yuzon said. Sponge Cola was officially formed in summer of 2003. In the midst of touring the healthy local gig circuit during their senior year in high school, they released a 5-track, all original, self-titled EP in 2003. It is from here that critics and music aficionados immediately took note of the songs "Lunes (trans: Monday)" and "Jeepney", slowly creating buzz in the underground music scene. In the same year, the band performed a cover of Madonna's seminal classic "Crazy for You", a bootlegged copy of which was shared and downloaded immensely via peer-to-peer networks. This, along with the EP, helped the band break into mainstream consciousness and popularity, gaining extensive airplay from several local pop and rock radio stations.
