Having been surrendered to the Skid Row Home for Boys as a baby, Seymour never truly knew his birth mother. The only thing he ever really managed to find out about her was her name, Winifred Krelborn, which was helpfully written on the birth certificate he had been left with (strangely, the spot for his father's name was mysteriously left blank).

At the time she exited his life, he had been much, much too young to have formed any lasting memories of her. He often finds himself wondering if she ever truly cared for him— if she ever felt any regret towards leaving him at the orphanage, or if she simply abandoned her unwanted child as soon as she could and never thought about him again.

...Given that he was presumably born on Skid Row, he strongly suspects the latter, but there is a part of him deep down that still hopes otherwise.

I went online a few different times and picked out the same name. Funny story. I found a english website with really weird translations for Japanese names. To them Ryouta meant 'big dick energy' & i was dying so I figured Ry would too.

AU where none of the JL know about the batkids for a while. But they recently have found out that  Bruce Wayne is the batman. So honestly... none of them are that surpised when they realise just how many batkids there are because ... Bruce Wayne gets around yk? Might have been cruel of him to force all his kids to be vigilantes with him but it's the Batman what are u going to do?

The batkids realise that the JL thinks they are all Bruce Wayne's bastard (/polite) children. And all of them (except Damien) are so happy to play along with it

Request (Anon) : Hi! I've read almost everything and everything and I'm such a huge fan of your HCs! I'd like to ask about how did Celine take the news? I'd assume she knew the Saja Boys were demons during the movie, but now after with the Huntr/x basically being friends (That may or may not have romantic feelings for each other) with them, I wonder how's she's taking it. (I feel like she'd hate the masses shipping Jinu and Rumi)

Before i begin, one of my favourite theories about Celine and Rumi’s mom is this one from reddit : Celine killed Rumi’s Mom

Anyways just wanted to let you guys know.

One thing i’ve thought about would be Mira and Zoey’s reactions to finding out Rumi had pleaded with Celine to kill her.

At first they’d be mad at themselves for their reactions when finding out Rumi was a demon. Figuring it was the final push she needed to attempt to seek suicide.

But even then, they would direct their anger at Celine.

Celine was the one who constantly told Rumi to cover up.

And while she had a point about being careful, she was more or less instilling fear about being betrayed by her friends into Rumi’s mind.

Rumi didn’t just hide her patterns and everything, she more or less hid half of herself all the time.

And when she eventually broke down it was because the one person who was supposed to help her through everything had failed her and made her ashamed of existing from the beginning.

She was lowkey planting seeds of doubt in Rumi causing her to be even more closed up you know? 

And they would hate her for it so much.

Mira would just glare at the woman in disappointment whenever they cross paths.

I feel like she is incredibly protective of Rumi and Zoey as they’re more or less her main family. 

Seeing as Celine tried to hurt her family, Mira would be the last person to even consider forgiving her.

Zoey would still keep in touch with Celine but very very low contact.

She would only talk to her in case the girls need help with training or anything like that.

Rumi would stay away from her.

After realizing what kind of world Celine wanted to exist, basically one where imperfections weren’t shown (aka demons), she forces herself to accept that they have different ideals.

Rumi is a demon. One of her parents were. Jinu is. And she wants a world where that truth can exist freely.

Celine doesn’t.

They don't want the same future.

Low contact.

I think Celine would definitely be in complete opposition to everything that the girls choose to do in the future.

But seeing as the girls probably set major boundaries with her, she’s forced to keep these opinions to herself.

For example : 

The Honmoon was more of an iridescent colour at the end of the movie. It wasn’t gold.

To Celine, the whole point of the hunters existing was to kill demons and turn the Honmoon gold. But that's not what's happening anymore and she disapproves.

She’s probably also in fear of what's gonna happen to the demons now but stays silent.

But the amount of guilt this woman must feel. 

Imagine your more or less “adoptive” daughter coming up to you and asking you to take her life.

She needs therapy.

Not only does she carry guilt from the death of Rumi’s mom (whether she killed her or if she just died) but she was also forced to deal with the constant decision of what to do if Rumi ever turned evil on them.

She’s so fearful of everything and that leads to her almost ruining everything.

Her fear of the demons.

Her fear of love (not just romantic. Even about whether the love between the girls would hold if they found out Rumi was part demon)

Her fear of change.

I don’t think she’d mind the shipping that much actually.

Like at first she would hate it. (This is before the whole gwi-ma defeat thing)

She’d worry that Jinu would bring out the demon-side of Rumi or that he was using her against the Honmoon (which he kinda was doing at first)

She also has the “all demons are evil and we must kill” mindset too so she’d want Rumi to kill Jinu.

After the Gwi-ma defeat, and finding out Jinu gave his soul to Rumi I feel like she’d have a minor change of heart.

One of Rumi’s parents were a demon and they fell for a human and had a kid. For that to occur the demon must’ve been a wonderful person for the human to do all that you know?

Then it happens again with Rumi and Jinu, except Jinu sacrifices himself for Rumi.

I feel as though something would snap in Celine’s brain.

Not all demons are bad.

Some of them are capable of human emotions.

Some are capable of love.

She’d still be slightly disapproving but wouldn’t say much.

Regarding the other girls, she’d be more wary of their ships.

Like, she knows Jinu loves Rumi. But she got no idea what Abby, Romance or Mystery has going on in their minds.

She has STRONG opinions on Mystery (barking dude. really????)

She’d see too much of an animalistic side in him.

Not just because he was barking at a fan lol

I feel like Mystery is the most closed off and seems like he’d understand human customs the slowest of everyone.

This makes him seem more demonic to Celine and therefore a danger.

She wouldn’t worry so much about Mira cause she knows that the pink girl can handle herself. 

Also doesn’t want Mira to push her even farther away for trying to interfere with her love life.

Would like to say that if she ever met Baby, he would 100% torture her in very moral ways for hurting the girls.

He would ruin her mentally and emotionally torment her whenever he got the chance. 

He hates the woman.

However, if there is anyone who hates Celine more than Baby it would be herself.

She now lives in a world that truly doesn’t need her.

The girls have made amazing hunters and have a new vision for what they want the world to be like.

All her knowledge is based on the past and is truly no longer needed.

After she let down the girls they more or less move on without her

She spends most of her time wondering what she could've done differently.

I don’t think she would've changed in any lifetime.

Her love for Rumi would always be conditional.

ALSO!!! She’d grieve Rumi

I know she was never a complete Mom to Rumi but she was somewhat of a mother figure.

Though her love was conditional she did love Rumi like a daughter.

Losing Rumi’s trust and losing her relationship with her would definitely triple the pain.

She'd have to grieve the loss of love from a daughter she was never able to fully love.

She watches their concerts and streams and lives because it seems to be the only way she gets updated on their lives anymore.

Like i said earlier, she definitely needs therapy but she won’t seek it. 

She thinks her suffering is the punishment she deserves.

Alastor its so off limits. The radio Demon its curious about you and wants to piss Lucifer off by also "adopting".

"You can call me Dad" Alastor with a grind seeing Lucifer get angrier as the seconds pass.

Your fav thing to do its make ducks!! Lucifer made sure to lock down the ones that could hurt you.

Cries when you made a duck that represents him. He now has it in his office.

Gets proud of you by doing whatever. He wants you to learn lots of things so he ends calling the best demons.

The only Demon who can play violin besides him in the nine circles.

Most likely you wont develope any type of special power due to your soul not being tainted. Thats why Lucifer teaches you ways to fight.

He wants to see your full Demon form. Even if you are cute and innocent right now he dies to see what you can become.

Asks you about your life and takes care of you when you get sad about your death and your mom.

Lucifer still wants to kill your mom and swears he will have a special chat if she ends in hell.

If she goes to heaven then he is going to be so angry but at least he does not have to deal with her.

Its so scared you will think he is not cool or good as a dad so he tries his best.

Wants you to have Friends but even the kid demons are more violent than you so he decides to keep a distance from them. For now at least.

A/N: reedited work, because i realize i accidently left out Chopper. Thanks to @valen-yamyam16 for pointing out.

You were an ex-pírate of big mom’s crew, when you realized you wanted to bake more that kill, you left them and went to improcedente your cooking.

That’s when you met Luffy, he liked your desserts, made some trouble on the town and obliged you to join his crew.

You didn’t have a choice so you boarded with them.

Everyone seemed to be okay with it , apparently it was very normal that Luffy does that. Even though you notice that people were a little reluctant about it, mostly because of your past crew.

Luffy didn’t care, he only cared about you cooking to him and having always some dessert on the table. He was very noisy but you liked how he always wanted to try your food,

Otherwise, the cook of the ship didn’t quite like you, running around with your sugar and chocolate, etc. His cooking ideology was different from yours but the goal was the same, making people happy.

That’s how you tríed to work together and after a couple of weeks and some battles thanks to your captain, the kitchen became your domain. Spending time with him planning the meals and helping each other, made you two reallly happy.

The swordsman tried to sound stoic and lonely, saying he doesn’t like sweets but after hearing his captain talking about your desserts it was a matter of time he started sneaking to the kitchen to steal some.

It was very funny to see a big muscled man trying to sneak into the kitchen quietly. Making him confess was difficult even when was obvious that was him, but after he did that and apologized it was easier to serve him.

The shooter tried to impress you saying that hd has some baker skills himself, when you suggested doing a cooking battle he confessed it was a lie to try to be liked be liked by you. You didn’t mind it, you wanted to fit in too.

From there you spent many time together in the kitchen. Sanji tried to kick Ussop out the kitchen most of the times but you apprecieted really his company, jokes and inventions, he even made you new baking utensils.

The rest of the Straw Hats were easy to convince that you were good.

Franky loved your cooking, especially your creations with soda drinks and Brook made many jokes about them.

Nami at first thought they were from Sanji so she eated a lot, then realized they were yours and thought they were poisoned... just for a couple of minutes, then she apologized.

With Jimbei it was difficult to know his favourite dessert but he happily teach you about fhishman's gastronomy.

Robin was just perfect to be with, complimenting your skills and always gettign a new round of biscuits, at some point you replaced Sanji on bringing her tea.

Chopper being the sugar candy lover, he is the first one to get at your feet and beg you for food. Sweets, desserts, cakes, everything that has sugar he is up to it. He is now officially your adopted son of the ship, always ready to try your new recipes.

if you’re ever punishing them and not giving the treats she’ll sneak them some

she literally adores every single one of her dogs

Winnick will come this close to writing a good, rightfullly angry character with BPD/CPTSD and ruin it by making him his conception of "a dangerous psychopath" because dc's understanding of mental illness begins and ends with the joker.

I like that Jason was angry i'm not gonna lie I enjoy the "bad victim who doesn't accept that they were a necessary sacrifice, who doesn't think what happened to them is something they should be expected to tolerate, like fuck your greater good, you weren't there, it isn't worth this." I think even looking at Jason's past before getting adopted he has reason to be angry, like he is poor af and starving and he had to take care of his mom and his dad is in jail because he couldn't see another way to provide and he gets trafficked -he has so many reasons to be angry. And he's not, and I love jaybin, but I think there are so many ways and things he can be angry about without it feeling classist. And I love that he can't emotionally regulate, that he has so clearly BPD/CPTSD because why the fuck would he not, have you seen his life (and that's not even counting the csa hc, which i am because willfully and consistently implying csa and then not addressing it/denying it feels like feeding into a culture of taboo that ruins lives and getting away with covert victim-blaming at the same time). The issue is that they lack finesse or any kind of understanding of anger. The think anger is a personality trait. They think angry = evil. They think being angry means you're violent at and about everything, that you shoot indiscriminately even though you've known better since you were a kid, that you're suddenly treating women like shit (which, wtf seriously) which okay maybe THEY treat women shitty for no reason when they're angry, but that'd be more of a them problem I'd say. Their portrayal of anger is classist because their conception of emotions hasn't evolved since fucking Descartes. Think anger = bad = poor and not only doesn't it occur to them that this is classist, they so instinctively assign moral value to the concepts of poor and angry that they don't realise it and just conceptualise poor=angry and end up with incredibly classist portrayals of anger. You can write characters that are mentally ill and violent without being ableist, you can write characters that are poor and angry without being classist, but that requires a level of respect for people, introspection, humility willingness to learn about the sensitive topics you are exploring that is simply not accessible to Winnick and so many other dc writers.

And here comes my very hot take that I'm too cowardly to say off anon: the pit shouldn't have healed Jason's malnutrition. Like, outside of canon I love big jay, I love big men who are emotionally vulnerable and need comfort etc. but in canon? It just comes off as another way to adultify Jason, and make the horrible things that happen to him acceptable. Jason "sleeping with Talia because he is fucked up about Bruce" because they both look like adults until you realise this is actually just rape and you can't put any responsibility of Talia taking advantage of the kid under her care (very ooc of course) on the child himself. Jason fighting Mia looking like a 40 years old beating up a teenage girl when they're the same damn age. Fucking Ethiopia 2.0. And Jason's murders as well, for the matter. Like don't get me wrong the duffle bag of doom is an iconic villain move, but it's just that: a massive shock effect and a "psychopathic" move. We shouldn't need Jason beheading anyone to be horrified, because just one murder, if written correctly, should be enough. A child killing someone is a terrible thing. A child being put in a position where they think killing someone is the only solution to ending suffering (thinking about the Garzonas case) is a terrible thing. A kid trying to kill his murderer (because fuck his death has to matter it has to) and only begging to be allowed it should be horrifying. Jason, with his unhealed malnutrition making him look a couple of years smaller and younger than his physical age, should look his mental age. It should be impossible to look away from the reality of what he is: a traumatized teenager who wasn't allowed to grow up. And he has a gun. This is already a horror story.

Make utrh!Jason a villain if you must, but have the guts to sit with it. Don't shove the fact that he was a hero and a victim under the rug because it's uncomfortable. Sit with the unease that sometimes someone is doing something bad and is suffering a lot, and maybe they're doing the bad thing because they don't know how to survive the suffering, and suddenly it's not easy separating hero from villain from victim. — The two of you met when you were beating up some IPC goons on a planet that they had recently wanted to take over. You had been there gathering materials to set sail to your next destination, you were on the hunt for a certain IPC employee. One who you once knew.

You would have offered to try to fix his synesthesia beacon, but just the thought of touching someone made your skin crawl. — Once it came to part ways, you didn't want to do so. You shyly admitted to Boothill that the thought of not seeing him scared you a tad bit. — When Boothill infiltrated the IPC headquarters you're the one who hacked into their system. With your experience, it was relatively easy, although Boothill would not let you go inside with him. He couldn't risk putting you in danger, even though he knows you can put up a fight.

You reached up and gripped a strand of your hair in your hand as a sheepish expression painted your face. “I'm not the best with physical touch,” You blurted out, albeit bluntly. “Whenever someone touches me — even if it's just a brush of their fingers, it feels like needles are being stuck into my skin” You huffed, clenching your fist and your eyes downcast. — It's canon Boothill is pretty wealthy from all of those bounties that he hunts and he doesn't exactly know what to do with it. So he definitely spoils you at every chance he gets. Want a nice Keychain you saw in a shop? He's handing it to you right now. How about a nice piece of clothing or a cultural food from the planet that you're visiting? He's got the clothing in a bag and is urging you to try the food.

— Even though you both have your moments of happiness, the both of you still have purposes you stick to. You had gotten a lead on where that person was and you were going to do everything to catch up to them and make them get what they deserved.

↳ “You.” You hissed walking towards the woman in an IPC uniform, kicking another unconscious employee away. You gripped your weapon tightly in your hand, the woman widened her eyes in terror at your sudden appearance, she fell on her bottom, scooting away from you as you approached her. As she backed away she didn't go far, her back hitting a wall not too long after. Your unhurried footsteps resonated through her ears, making her breath pick up as she clutched the dirt underneath her in an attempt to ground herself.

You stopped in front of her, eyes full of unbridled anger. “(N-name)?!” She squeaked, putting a hand out infront of her to reach out to you. “What are.. how are you-” She was cut off as the back of your weapon slapped her intruding hand away. “You don't get to say my name.” You glared at her, your tone icy cold and unforgiving. She tried to speak once more but was once again cut off, “You left me to die! If it wasn't for my quick thinking, I would have been dead by now!” You said in a firm tone and pointed your weapon straight at her, leaving her no room to move or else you would attack.

The woman tensed up and a bead of sweat ran down the side of her cheek, “Honey… I had no choice! You would only weigh me down, you have to understand!” She had the gall to call you “honey” this woman no longer had the honor of doing so. The words stung, even though you no longer felt any affection for her… they brought back memories that you would rather forget. You clenched your teeth and watched as she rambled on and on about how “it was for your own good” and that “you should try to understand her situation” before she would get another word out, you sound your weapon, officially slicing her throat.

The blood splattered onto your stoic face, you watch as she choked on her own blood, eyes wide and filled with panic as if her life was flashing before her eyes… you hope it hurts.

A set of footsteps came from behind you, judging by the jingling of metal and their heavy footsteps you could tell who it was. You reluctantly turned around to meet Boothill's concerned gaze, “Er.. ya’ okay kiddo?” He scratched the side of his face as he pointed out the tears that prickled at the corner of your eyes. You stared at the ground and slowly nodded “I don't entirely hate her, but she didn't deserve to know that… even in her last moment” You muttered as more salty tears filled your vision.

— You and Boothill headed back to your ship, all while you were still occasionally shedding tears. Boothill, seeing the state you were in, offered you a warm, fluffy blanket and a warm drink; hot chocolate.

↳ You sniffled and held the blanket that was over your shoulders to your chest. You were sat on a cushion on the floor of yours and Boothill’s ship, knees tucked towards your chest in an attempt to stop yourself from crying. “Heya kiddo, I got ya’ some hot chocolate…” Boohill plopped down next to you on a matching cushion and held out the mug that was in his robotic hand. His hand was placed below the mug so when you reached to get it, you both wouldn't accidentally brush fingers.

The both of you sat in a pregnant silence and you occasionally sipping on the warm drink provided to you. Boothill stared at you from the corner of his eye, your gaze was focused on the window, giving you the view of the vast space. “She was my mother, you know” You suddenly broke the silence with your blunt words, Boothill’s eyes widened a significant amount, yet you continued.

“Even though she claimed to love me, her actions hurt and her words even more.” You put your mug down beside you and snuggled further into the blanket. The cyborg's face softened into something different, almost sad, distraught. His teeth clenched in anger at the thought of you being hurt by that woman, something ugly bloomed in his mechanical chest.

“But now she's gone,” Boothill started, making you turn your head to look at him with a surprised expression. “She can't hurt you anymore nor anyone, not when I'm around” He grinned, his shark-like teeth out on display. Something in your chest felt warm, it was different but not unpleasant. You offered Boothill a small smile then took a deep breath and raised your pinky up, “Pinky promise?” your voice a bit shaky, but your eyes were filled with determination.

Boothill slowly brought his pinky up, gently intertwining it with yours. They were barely touching but it was progress, “Promise.” The cyborg nodded firmly.

Tears pricked at you eyes, not in sadness nor anger, but relief.

“Thank you.”

cal and mel hcs:

when the kriegmans brought mel home, she was very skittish and very quiet. they couldn’t get her out from under the couch for days. one day, cal came over and she slowly crept out from the couch and watched him from a distance.

she loves him so very much. andre sometimes jokes that maybe cal should have adopted her instead of him. cal’s mom is allergic to cats, so he sadly could never take any kitty home.

mel sleeps on cal’s lap all the time. especially when andre and cal play video games. she never minds how loud the two boys get during shooting games, she just snoozes the day away. cal often refuses to get up - even if it’s to go to the bathroom, or if his legs are asleep.

andre and cal spend hours playing with mel, her favorite toy is a string toy with a dangly octopus on the end.

cal sometimes brings over treats for mel and sneakily gives them to her when andre isn’t looking.

when cal and andre have a sleep over, mel sleeps on the corner of cal’s pillow. when it’s just andre in bed, she sleeps on andre’s legs.

mel is very talkative, often times her and cal have conversations that go mainly like this:

the night before zero day, mel was overly affectionate. as if she knew something was going on. she didn’t leave cal’s side all night. it got a little annoying for cal, as he was already in a sort of mental state that involved distancing himself. he pushed mel away repeatedly, but she kept coming back to rub against his leg. i think part of cal regretted treating mel that way shortly before the shooting began.

sometimes, cal feels extremely overcome with cute aggression toward mel, but never hurts her. he just snaps and goes “you have such small hands!” points at her paws, and goes “who said you can have such little baby hands!! you can’t even do nothing with those!!” she stands there looking at cal strangely as he talks, “you can’t even drive with these little things mel, it’s crazy.”

Simon is def the type of boyfriend/ husband to adopt a big dog for your anniversary present (even though it's so self serving, he just wants you to have extra protection). He even puts a little bow on the pups collar when he's presenting you with the new edition to the family. (I can see him with a Belgian/ German shepherd, doberman or even a pit mix breed)

Good Boy

Oh my god, there is no way Simon isn't insisting his S/O doesn't have a dog once you've become an established couple.

I think the only difference I have from your HC is that he'd already have the pup trained and nearly at full size when he brings it home for the first time.

Naturally, he's got plenty of experience after having Riley for years. And spent a lot of time sneaking some of your dirty clothes out of the house to put in the dog's kennel while it's being trained. Accustomating it with your scent and connecting your smell with something that isn't used in training unless it's a drill relating your scent to an object needing protection.

Simon isn't particularly attached to the dog emotionally in the way you're going to be. But he's adamant that other than himself, you're the only other person who will know how to command the dog. It's a safety measure that you're going to be a little resistant to at first, but once he explains that it's so you're always safe -even when he's away- you understand that it's for the best. Simon wants a loyal protector for you, and he's not risking you for anything.

In addition to that, Simon really understands and employs "scary dog privilege" tactics often. Even using himself as the warden who follows you around in public and keeps too many eyes from lingering. The dog he brings home is most certainly intimidating, yet impossibly patient and gentle with you. It's designed that way though. Simon trained the pup to think of you as mom essentially, and his only role is to always protect mom.

When he brought your cane corso home, Simon had nothing but pride for the stoic and well-trained guard dog.

The only problem with this is, you're too damn loving for your own good.

Where Simon won't let the dog on the couch, you put your foot down and demand it gets to sleep at the foot of the bed where you can tuck your feet under it to keep warm. He refuses to feed it anything other than its regimental diet, where you love making lick-mats and trialing a bunch of different dog-safe foods almost like your own little cooking show. Simon refuses to pet the dog all the time, but it's almost given he's going to come home and find you curled up with the massive beast on the couch. You -dead asleep- and the guard dog looming over your curled-up form and giving a low, malicious, growl.

Until it realizes Daddy has come home.

Then the big bastard won't leave Simon alone long enough to take his boots off without getting covered in drool and enough hair to make a fur coat.

These are the kinds of pictures you send Simon, utterly destroying his own mental image of the terrifying dog charged with keeping you safe. You're quite amused when he demands you stop making the dog look so pathetic.
