LYF s1 has finished and I'd like to point out Tushang Jing's flaws since people brag about how perfect he is when the only thing he offers Xiaoyao is words of affirmation and promises to not abandon her but as of ep 39 has not yet done.

Tushan Jing is tortured by his brother for 3 years and hides away as Shiqi when he is the only rightful heir in the family so even if he has ptsd his family has been searching for the only actual son they care about from the day he's gone missing.

Tushan Jing is spoiled and just like other central plains family values status. He repeatedly looks down on FengFang Bei's status by abruptly interrupting every encounter he has with Xiaoyao basically ignoring him.

After finally returning home as the prodigal son, he does not immediately out his brother for the abuse and acts like nothing happened. Xiaoyao even raises the suggestion of killing his brother several times and he doesn't even try to do that. By his gentle personality, he doesn't even think of talking the situation out with his brother or the rest of his family.

The fiance situation could have also been handled if jing had a more consistent personality but since he goes along with mostly anything by the end of episode 39 he fell into a trap of his own doing. Xiaoyao even points out that he studied medicine with her so long he should be able to detect any poison but was still tricked by his grandmother.

Even though Xiaoyao loves him for his gentleness she knows it's also his flaw. If tushan jing had either the personality of CX, XL or even FG I believe the family situation would have been cleanly dealt with in a year tops which is very sad.
