i made this event-exclusive poster for the YGO DSOD screening and fan event organized by @dickbats0715 and @montyverse held at the Museum of the Moving Image in NYC this Saturday, October 5th!

although the screening has been sold out, the fan event from 12 PM - 6 PM is completely free to attend. many of the original YGO DM voice actors will be there for panels, Q+As, and signings! please go show them your love and support there!

I know we all hate how Atem was back for like two seconds and he didn’t even say anything but gosh he looks gorgeous in this style and I adore this shot.

I love how tender this shot is. Yes Atem doesn’t say anything in this shot but the way he reaches across and grips the chain you can tell he’s remembering what it felt like to share a vessel with Yugi and just this quiet affection of being with his best friend again even though it’s just a second. Remembering how for Yugi and himself the chain was a symbol of their unbreakable bond because if you remember at the end of the movie the puzzle is back on the leather cord Atem wears when he was pharaoh. It’s just such a beautiful and powerful shot.

Sometimes I forget how tragic Yugi and atem are. Like you lost half of your soul. He just walked away from you. And they both just have to accept that this is happening.

Watching the one scene in dsod is so sad, the way that they're just staring at each other when atem has to leave again, the way atem hesitates, it's just so devastating to me
