What good was an epic introduction without a little flourish, after all?

"I've been called all kinds of things; a monster, a demon---a fake!" Dramatically, she flourished a hand, like it was the most absurd accusation anyone could have ever made of her. "A living nightmare from the cradle to the grave." Of course, she quickly followed it up with a shrug; it wasn't like she cared any longer about that sort of thing. People could think what they want; Magilou was... Magilou.

Of course, keeping a low profile had been the preference as of late. Since leaving the Abbey, she was certain Melchior was on the lookout for her, and the last thing she wanted was to deal with him. She'd been... putting out feelers, to say the least. She'd been trying to determine what his next plans were; she'd heard he was communicating with Artorius, who was living in Aball, but she didn't dare get anywhere near there.

Not after what happened nearly six years ago.

I'm not used to being on my own." She was very much uncomfortable with the prospect, fidgeting with her jumper as her tail curled low. "I'll leave you alone, I should get back to looking." Hopefully she'd have luck before it could get dark, backing up a few steps she then turned and walked in the opposite direction of the Kong.

He's a hard learner, but he learns. That's mostly why he tries to floof up and spike his fur out at her. That's what the porcupine taught him anyway. Look like you'll absolutely destroy someone with your ass and people might respect you. Or at least give you a wide berth.

Tilting his head, he frowns. "Well...I've never heard of such a kingdom, but..." Maybe they just weren't on the map yet? It took a good amount of development for the Jungle Kingdom to even gain the tourism it enjoyed now. Rubbing the back of his neck, somewhat annoyed to have his evening of patrolling the palm border interrupted since he didn't reeeeally want to be working right now... DK decides it's probably better not to get on some unknown potential warlord's bad side and follows her.

It's only a step or two of his own before he catches up, standing on all fours above her briefly before pushing forward. A light drizzle of rain itched his fur, but he's far from complaining with a shake just yet. "Ehh...I'm going this way anyway." He sniffs, glancing down between his fore legs to squint at her probably using him for an umbrella just walking under there. "...your Dad's not gonna attack me, right?"
