You will acept your fate... Before the end..
------
Without much creativity to come up with a good line/phrase. I had to improvise.
It's been exactly 1 year since Bendy and the Dark Revival released...jeez. Already? I'm telling you, time doesn't make sense anymore, everything is going slower and faster at the same time. It's crazy!
I was in the middle of drawing something more specific for the anniversary but…I didn't finish it lol. Like always! But I have this prompt that I finished a few days ago and that I was hoping to post along with 2 more drawings. But I think today is a more ideal day to post this.
So as a anniversary present I give you guys…Angst™. With the boys. Very ideal.
I remember having another idea for this prompt but the current idea popped into my head so I decided to abandon the previous one. I found it more interesting. A "What-if" idea I had at the time the game launched partially inspired by something specific I thought about these two. Based so much on what I've seen and read about these ink creatures, and on the general idea of "2 minds in one".
I confess that in the end I started to question whether this is the way I see the relationship between these 2 and all this business of "two in one package" that they have. And I still don't know if this is really my vision. I just had a drawing idea that I thought was cool and I just stuck with it until the end. I didn't have many second thoughts until I got to the finish line.
Changing the subject: The anniversary.
I can't believe it's been 1 year since this game came out. The time flies! Good to know this finally released after 3 years.
I don't think I've ever talked abouy my thought on the game before,or at least, not the game as a whole. I wanted to leave this for the specific anniversary drawing, but hey. Why not here?
In short: I really liked it! I've been waiting for this game for a good while so when we finally got that final trailer last year, you could say I was pretty excited for the next 2 weeks until release. I don't know if I knew exactly what to expect from this game, and there's always that fear that I won't end up liking what I play when it released. But I really liked it! Loved it, I would say. I had a lot of fun and I believe I can say that, in general, I had a pretty positive experience with it.
Of course, I have my own grievances and complaints about some things in the game (some probably talked about here on Tumblr and others not) that I would like to see improved for next game,The Cage. But even with these complaints in mind, I wouldn't say that it took away my enjoyment of this game. Especially considering that the positive points (or at least what I consider positive in my opinion) for me, prevail over the negative ones.
At the end? Yeah, I really liked Bendy and the Dark Revival. Happy to see it finally released and be able to play it. I personally believe that we are in a good direction when it comes to the games, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
Happy 1 year anniversary BATDR! And happy birthday to both Little Guy and Big Guy (Little Bendy and the new Ink Demon, respectively).
Love you both.

Day 1: Pencil
I got way too carried away with “pencil and a dream” symbolism that it looks like ink is coming out of his pencil, facepalm moment
Anyway still gonna try to do Ink Demonth this year! I’ve got like either 26 or 27 days left to do it so wish me luck lmao

Although the poor working conditions and declining finances of Joey Drew Studios in its final years were public knowledge, it was what went on at the company after hours on the lower floors that would be the secret that Mister Joey Drew would carry with him until the very end of his life.
-Secret-
-----
By all accounts, this was only the third idea I had to think of for this prompt.
I originally thought of doing something about SOTM, because of "Secret", you know. Kind of an obvious direction, right? But since I had already made "Umbrella" SOTM-centric, I didn't want to repeat the game or the idea, I wanted something different from what I did for the last prompt. Then I thought of doing something with Wilson. Maybe tie it in with his audio log in Dark Survival. But I thought about this idea a little more and realized that in the end, I would just be rehashing an idea I had come up with a few months ago. Of course, it was a separate piece, not related to the event, but like I said, I didn't want to repeat past ideas. And I also didn't want to make a drawing that in the end would just be a redux of a drawing I had already done this year.
In the end, I went with the Ink Demon. Always draw the ink guy when nothing else comes.
And come to think of it, he fits the prompt well. "The head of this animation studio was responsible not only for the creation of ink monsters - one including a twisted, demonic version of the company's mascot - but also for the deaths of some of its employees (some correlating with the creation of these same monsters)" is something I would consider a secret. A big secret, at that.
I wanted to illustrate the day the demon broke free. We know he was locked away, and that he definitely ended up breaking free. How, I don't know. But he's the Ink Demon. He's That Guy, so I don't question it too much.
I don't think I'd consider this drawing to be "This is definitely how I imagine the Ink Demon breaking free." It was something I did on the spur of the moment. It might be similar, but it's not THE way I see it, you know. I don't know where or what Joey thought of locking this guy up, but considering the most dangerous thing the Ink Demon ever did in the beginning was "wander around the office" (going by his audio log), I didn't go for anything too big. A cell in a room deep in the basement is clearly enough for a being like this. It's not like he's capable of hurting anyone, right?
Well,it didn't work. He broke free. Which wouldn't be surprising.
After all, it takes more than a few metal bars and an old wooden door to stop a tyrant.

You finally make it to the City of Broken Dreams. Bendy is waiting there for you, apprehensive as he sees you, but as you apologize to him for the sudden shock and pain you caused him completely by accident earlier, he relaxes and forgives you. Exhausted after a long journey and many battles in the studio, you take notice of the lush couch in front of you and decide to settle for a nap. As you drift off to sleep, you fail to notice Bendy resting beside you, and even more so that you end up slipping off the furniture where the toon decides to gently lay you down onto the floor.
After some time, you start to stir awake, your eyes slowly fluttering open as you come to your senses. You feel your back pressed against something large.. something moving, and then you feel that something slowly rise and fall, accompanied by shallow breathing. You hold your breath, too anxious to move. When you finally start to realize how physically uncomfortable you are in your current position, you carefully risk shifting your body to stretch and it’s in that moment that you sneak a glance over your shoulder and your eyes instantly widen at the realization of the source of the breathing. Your eyes may have opened in shock, but your body remains still as you notice the thing you were leaning against is none other than the Ink Demon himself, fast asleep beside you. He must’ve changed form at some point as you slept, but why he dozed off and didn’t just instantly kill you is beyond your understanding.
Without eyes it was hard to know if your movements disrupted his slumber, but his slow, shallow breaths led you to believe they hadn’t. With a soft sigh of relief, you slowly rolled back over, propping yourself into a more comfortable sitting position as you now leaned against his side and quietly pulled out a small sketchbook and pen to start doodling him. Moments pass in silence, and then you notice the Ink Demon’s body shifts greatly, and he releases a sleepy groan as his head turns toward you. You look up from your sketchbook to gaze at his face, his head tilted slightly as he appears to observe your drawing. You’re not sure whether to feel proud, anxious, or embarrassed, and you pull your legs closer to yourself.
The Ink Demon remains unmoving for a few seconds before he lets out a thoughtful grumble and asks “IS THAT ME?”
You look at him and nod. The Ink Demon tilts his head down as if to look at the sketch of him, then he huffs and says “HOW THOUGHTFUL OF YOU.”
you manage a small smile, but before you can do or say anything more in return, the Ink Demon rolls onto his side and wraps his powerful, inky arms around you, pulling you toward his chest. The sketchbook lands on the floor before you, and without much protest, you settle into his embrace as he curls his legs up and rests his head against you. You can hear the dull thumping of his heartbeat within his chest, and soon the both of you have fallen back asleep.
